Answering questions about Eagles 4x07–4x08 (Part 2) ☀️
Here’s the second part of my compiled answers of the questions you guys have sent me about the latest two episodes! If you missed the first part, you can find it here. Enjoy!

Me too! I feel like I have way too many wishes about the US (Elias coming with Amie to study at film school, Petra coming with Amie to fulfill her own dream as a teenager) so I hope my high expectations won't leave me feeling disappointed lmao.
Tumblr media
That moment was adorable and such obvious fanservice but I didn't even mind because it was so sweet! I do agree with you somewhat on your wish of Elias and Amie starting their journey in season 2. While there was so much going on in season 2 that wouldn't have worked for their relationship to develop, it probably would've solved some plot points feeling rushed.
Andreas had me crying too! These last two episodes weren't masterpieces or anything, but you can tell that the whole team behind them put a lot of love and hard work into it.
Tumblr media
Right! While this might be explained by the actress being busy with other projects, Leila is still such an absent mother even in the scenes she's in.
I wish she could've at least showed some concern over her children in that episode she did appear in, but she was super cold. I hope she comes back for the series finale and that we'll see her share a sweet moment with her kids as they graduate.

That's totally a fair opinion and I agree with you. The eating disorder seemed so vague in this season, and in episode 8 I felt like it had been swept under the rug completely. I thought we would see more of it and I'm coming to the realization that maybe my expectations for this storyline were too high.
I answered another ask that touched on the same topic and said that I would've liked to see Elias approach Amie instead to sort things out. I feel like Elias was the one who acted irrationally and overreacted, so if he had only realized that and apologized to Amie then their reconciliation would feel more deserved.
Tumblr media
You totally hit the nail on the head. I would've loved to see five seasons too—not just because I'm a huge Eagles fan, but also because a lot of storylines suffered from the short running time they have.
I wish we could've actually seen Elias go to the therapist and really get inside his head. And I also feel like the lovey-dovey moments between Elias and Amie were over so quickly, even if the scenes we did get were very well done.
Tumblr media
Yes, you're right. This is a plot hole that was glossed over and not really considered. Jack's story was pretty anti-climactic and I can't help but wonder what would've happened if his character hadn't turned into such a one-dimensional villain.
Remember the power that the charming and manipulative S2 Jack had? I kind of miss that, and wish it would've been explored more.
Tumblr media
I feel the same. The problem with this was that the viewers got to see Elias struggling with an eating disorder and then be rewarded for not listening to his doctor.
Elias pushing his body to the limit during the hockey game is supposed to be seen as gripping and inspiring, when that couldn't be further from the truth.
I'm hoping we get a better conclusion to this storyline in the last two episodes, but I don't really know if that will be the case.
Tumblr media
Me too, or that we'll at least see Elias properly apologizing to her and realizing that Amie "going behind his back" was done out of concern.
I honestly have no idea what's going to happen with Elias, but I can't help but feel like the eating disorder storyline is concluded? It's obviously still there and hasn't disappeared completely, but with only two episodes left I can't see them delving into this conflict and having enough time to give a satisfying conclusion to it.
