HMMMM well of course seto and momo are afraid of it. i think they try to shrug it off and do a lot of Sand Activities ignoring that they're afraid. momo takes a bazillion selfies at the shore and screams when she gets splashed. i think guys like takane and kano would be a threat to them bc they have the Water Guns and now The Water Is On Ground and it freaks them out❤️

i think hibiya&hiyori are great swimmers idk why. i think theyre the kinda kids to spend every single summer at the beach, so they give WATER DOMINATING lessons to seto and momo, to get over their fear and also teach them to swim.

ayano kido and kano are fine in the water i think the tateyamas for sure had summer vacations at the beach ❤️ its not seto's first time in the beach, he probably used to stay on ground back then too.

anyways that said, mary is suddenly seeing in real life things she's only seen in pictures/tv and read of!!! imagine her first time seeing the OCEAN!!!! thats gotta be so exciting!!! considering her attitude she'd be totally over the moon and would wanna learn how to swim IMMEDIATELY. tbh she'd be clumsy but probably has a pool float yknow the ones that are like a donut and ur inside chilling and playing from there. i think thats what she'd do!!! shes disappointed seto can't join in and that rly motivates him to try to get in the water. if he doesn't manage she definitely comes out the water to build sand castles with him and take a walk to pick up seashells :3

yknow ive been thinking again lately about how i would like to see more realism in batman content, both canon and fandom, but not the Dark And Gritty kind. the kind thats like.

yes actually he is highly emotionally intelligent and does understand himself quite well and has just accepted that he is A Freak and decided to roll with it rather than being so horrifically emotionally repressed that he can barely even acknowledge that what hes doing is based in trauma. hes been in therapy since he was like 9 years old. he studies human psychology extensively both for himself and so he has better odds of predicting whats gonna go wrong and how when hes up against a rogue or negotiating a hostage situation or whatever. he meditates for two hours a day and is fully capable of keeping a healthy handle on his anger 98% of the time. he's nice to people and fun to be around and sincerely caring. if he were just Always Right but super isolated and reactive and cruel and controlling everyone would fucking hate him and no it wouldnt be enough to sustain his crimefighting activities, thats a stupid lone wolf fuckboy fantasy

he has a strict 9pm bedtime that he only breaks for mandatory WE/brucie activities or emergencies. if theres a gala where he needs to rub shoulders with ppl to gather intel or keep his company running he'll do it but hes Not Happy about being out until midnight and cuts out early as often as possible, and when hes chasing the joker around until 3am hes lamenting his poor sweet circadian rhythm that did nothing wrong ever in its life the whole time. when hes batmanning hes expending a fuckton of energy and he needs to make it up and have a well-established routine to counteract the punishment hes putting his body through. on a similar note, this man is building braces and compression into his suit and doing extensive physical therapy exercises every day of his life bc he wants to have helpful little things like "knees" and "shoulders" by the time hes 40, and hes probably eating a small farms worth of assorted leafy greens and several chickens per day

he is simply Never drunk and he doesnt actually have that much sex. hes really really good at faking a) being drunk and b) getting a high priority phone call from lucius the minute someone hes making out with starts trying to get his shirt off. he also does a lot of "hey look i gotta get out of here with my reputation intact, can we help each other out and pretend we're gonna go fuck?" kind of negotiating with ppl (see: his 9pm bedtime, plus sometimes hes gotta slip away from an event to be sneaky), which is how a lot of the more wild stories about him start circulating lol. this is a man who's regularly getting gassed/injected/etc with highly experimental substances created by maniacs trying to torment or kill him, he does NOT want substances like drugs or alcohol in his body that could potentially interact with them, and the last thing he needs is to be dealing with a pregnancy or sti scare. plus if he can play it safe with someone and have them think of him as a nice and trustworthy dude who just has a bonkers reputation, all the better for his batman activities!

idk i just feel like theres unexplored potential in a lot of that stuff bc so much of recent batman mythos is like HES SO HARDCORE AND CAN DO ANYTHING AND HES ALWAYS RIGHT CAUSE HES SO PARANOID AND DISRESPECTFUL OF PPL AND THEIR BOUNDARIES BUT ITS OKAY BC ITS IN THE NAME OF BEING RIGHT and im like. okay. gotta admit that i dont rly find that believable or in line with my values. can we talk about WE's sweet sweet employee benefits package and bruce designing his suit to take most of the impact off his knees when he jumps off a roof. members of the jl discovering that he gives shockingly balanced and insightful advice about their mundane personal problems. bruce printing his own batsymbol envelopes to leave people cash after he misaims his grappling hook and breaks their window. things of that nature.

so eve is from vault 11, and the survivor of it at the end. after surviving an initial lottery system to then end up fighting other people in the vault, some who were family or otherwise, once eve takes out the other four, she just leaves the mojave for a long ass time. kind of tying in that she just happened to be given the chip, begrudgingly bringing her back, eve is kind of multiskilled, jack of all trades pre-benny incident, and a lot of it is working backwards/forwards in getting back to where she was. a lot of her work with the chip is literally just delivering it PLEASE do not talk to me dont even look at me. i am a mailman on a mission. i hate this stupid lil package.

she's also more mad about being shot in the head with a double tap - and surviving - than literally all the other bullshit she survived as well. like you didnt even do a good JOB, benny!!!!

in the vault, with all the fighting, and then finding out the reality of what happened if they said no, definitely contributed to eve being a lil more than disillusioned too. was mute for quite some time during and then following the vault, really only started talking consistently again a few months prior to goodsprings, and prefers to sign. recovering addict. even she knows its weird of her to like. get involved in shit going on in like primm and novac when really she just wants to drop the chip off and go back to like. new reno. hell she's willing to cross to the commonwealth. its like a vagued out interest dragging her in.

honestly uncomfortable around computers just because of the last message from the vault, and the video that played out. like fully expects some vault tec bullshit to come back after her. bobble heads are her enemy, and if house didnt want them, she'd be using them for target practice.

hey, I don't usually reach out to artists like this but I want to thank you for those culturally appropriate masa redesigns. I was a fan of his for a while and admittedly always found those designs he made to be extremely questionable (especially the GANESHA designs... if you have to TELL your audience what real-world God the character is supposed to be then you really messed up when designing them). Like you said, it goes to show that he did enough research to know what they were supposed to look like, but chose to go against it and hypersexualize the designs anyway because horny. Your redesigns proved that he not only could have done better from a cultural standpoint but that these characters would have still been beautiful even if they were wearing more than a yard of fabric lol. oh yeah i definitely agree !!!! ive always had an issue and been pretty vocal [on insta] about his design choices in general bc…. this is a personal ick but i just hate hornybait art [esp from men] bc 90% of the time it looks uncanny that i dont understand how its hot…. this is especially seen in masas newer art - his clothing is vacuum sucked booby pocket that looks plasticky / nonsensical and the faces r just … yknow ? [doesnt help his woman anatomy hasnt improved much w the boobs being super high 2 the collarbone that it makes everything look off - and i always excused it bc i think it was when he drew the soap lagoon tribute image ? he said how he knows his artstyle is not how it was during onibi series and wishes 2 not return 2 it + the art is not the biggest priority over music which makes sense ! idk his art is always the best when not sexualised [or at least u cannot tell at 1st glance] like his avicii tribute / cappuccino pv or literally anything non human like guns / skulls etc]

the biggest reason i havent posted anything here is that whenever i think abt the merlin characters n what not is an modern au, where they work in a place kinda like supergirl? like an undercover organization that deals with supernatural/magic cases n what not. it has several branches, and the one that uther supervises and that arthur, gwen, morgana, the knights, gaius and others work at is more a hands on deck, action packed situation where they deal with cases that need physical force or neutralization n shit like that. they used to be able to just murder any magic being without question (kinda like how cops handle black ppl in america, yknow, no questions just shoot), but now theyre advised against it, much to uther’s chagrin. even tho he is the boss and this branch is the original, this is a democracy so. he also has to abide certain rules.

this change kinda happened because of merlin, because him n uther have met even before merlin n arthur did. but more on that later.

in present times, where the universe is at, merlin is very antisocial n kinda serious. he’s 26 or up, so think season 5. he’s very strange and off-putting (hehe reference), and arthur actively hates him, while the others dont rly feel that strongly abt merlin but still keep their distance. other ppl also dont like merlin because he is barely there but still gets jobs and gets paid. everyone else needs to hand in reports and attend meetings, go to classes if necessary, go rest while others can go n work. merlin doesnt do any of that, may or may not do a job uther assigns him, and if he does do a job he doesnt stay a minute longer. arthur seems merlin as this guy who thinks he’s better than everyone just because he’s a warlock and very powerful, blah blah blah. in fact, when he refers to merlin as he coworker, merlin denies it and says he doesnt work with arthur, or anyone in uther’s branch. it angers him to no end.

merlin’s files of his work and past in the branch are also very sealed tight, no matter how good elyan is at hacking. he tells them it must be magic as well, tho he knows tech magic isn’t merlin’s thing so someone else must be protecting him. it only makes merlin look more suspicious.

everything comes to light one day when gwen overhears merlin n uther screaming at each other in uther’s office and quickly gets arthur. the first thing they hear when the squad enters the scene is merlin screaming at uther’s face “if you even so much as speak to them, speak about them, or even think about them, i will skin you alive myself, no magic involved” very disturbing, very uuuhhhh where’s the context yknow, so while arthur joins in on the screaming because thats his father getting yelled at while the others watch with different levels of amusement (max amusement being morgana, least amusement being gwen) a lot of things become clear

1) merlin doesnt, in fact, work there. uther tells arthur himself that merlin is under no contract, no obligation to show up at any jobs. merlin sometimes does because of certain debts and other personal matter concerning the old branch where he used to work at, that is more about helping and nurturing troubled magic users, a lot of them coming from uther’s cases (it’s all very organized n shit). uther shows that he respects merlin a lot actually, which leaves arthur very confused, until...

2) merlin is the reason why magic beings aren’t killed anymore in uther’s branch because he was able to summon Ygraine’s spirit, with the help of his old boss. after getting absolutely wrecked emotionally n also getting a lecture from ygraine for how uther is treating magic beings, uther gets to work on making it all better, because that is his wife and also she may haunt him if he doesnt do as she please. summoning a spirit did take a lot of energy from merlin, seeing as he did this several times for uther to re manage the branch like his wife may want to. uther feels indebted to him in this way. merlin offers to summon arthurs mother as well if he wishes to, despite the costs. now it leaves the rest of the context to get to...

3) merlin has adopted 3 girls with unusual magical abilities, that he befriended when they were 8/9 and he was 16. because of certain conditions, he had to let them in the care of uther’s organization, before they were separated. he put them exclusively under his uncle’s care, gaius, while he had a lot of things to work through himself and was a danger to them, this at the age of 18. around 20/21, merlin is much better (also uther’s organization starts to separate) and can afford his own apartment for him and the girls to all live in, and from then on (because this kinda job pays very well) cared for them and paid their livings expenses as if they were his own daughters, even tho the age diff is more like siblings. uther is interested in having them working for him cuz theyre all very smart, talented, and powerful, all personally trained by merlin himself. merlin does not want that. none of the girls want it either, they’d probably want to kill uther, because...

4) at the start, when merlin first came under uther’s “care”, he got experimented on, for around 3 months. after knowing this, Alice, the future boss of merlin, the boss of the first branch that separated form uther to help magic beings instead of killing them, took merlin under her care. from then on out, she became his therapist, from 18 to 26 and onwards. they’re great friends and he keeps trying to get her n gaius together but they refuse (merlin doesnt know that they have in fact met before n have had a relationship but it fell off cuz gaius was uther’s friend and alice could never like that). so now that they know what the context what about, the unbridled hatred merlin has for uther, uther’s weird but respectful views of merlin and merlin’s position in the branch, now they all have one last question. what the fuck does merlin do then, if his job is not on the branch? well...

5) he’s a teacher. do you know mildred hubble? yh he teaches that class. yeah. he’s suffering. he also teaches some other girls but thats more of part time classes for them because they have other shit to do, like school. this is baffling to everybody because what the fuck. your main job is an elementary magic teacher, n your side hustle is... an undercover organization not influenced by the government?? what???

so yh this universe is just pure crack, very self-indulgent n shit, as per usual

hey everybody im gonna ramble about art styles for a bit b/c everyone's asleep <3 LOL

PREFACE: THIS IS LITERALLY JUST MY OWN PERSONAL PREFERENCES AND OPINIONS!! i dont want to sound like i think im an authority on this stuff at all so dont take it as such. im just stream-of-consciousness rambling here

anyway on to the ramble

so occasionally i like to drown myself in nostalgia by going on deviantart and browsing old ms paint art of people's fursonas and such. tonight i was doing that and it got me thinkin about art styles and how theyve changed over the years! like, back during the time im talking about (like early 2000s-very early 2010s), the anime style was very popular at least in the furry deviantart community i was a part of. although i think that extends to human art as well, which i'll get into in a moment. but ya like, ive noticed that ppl would draw their furries all anime-y with big eyes and swirls in their very spiky fur...fur was a lot more detailed as well! there was a distinct style goin on. and over time it's kinda shifted into a less anime and more western cartoony style it feels like? sure theres still anime influences but its not Blatantly Anime anymore if that makes sense. its more squishy and cutesy i guess. of course this is just a lot of what i see, theres exceptions too here and there. as for human art the early 2000s/2010s anime art styles were just. so choice. i miss them so much actually

to get into general art styles tho, i was looking at style evolution charts for anime from the 80s to the 2020s and it was rly interesting to see!! id like to say my fav eras of style were the 90s-00s specifically, and honestly my opinion carries over to western cartoons as well. now here's where im gonna get Conch Reversal i think. bc im one of those people who--god i hate that i probably sound pretentious for this--prefers the Older art styles to the modern ones? if you follow me u know im a big fan of stephen silver's art, particularly from the danny phantom era. i love the early art styles that were goofy and cartoony and bouncy but had sharpness to them, like they were pretty angular? and nowadays it seems like everyone's into that spongey soft round style (not to bring up steven universe but like. steven universe-esque) which is appealing in its own way but not in the way that i personally would choose yknow? thats why im rly into danny phantom and stuff like that i guess

ive been told that art styles like that are outdated and maybe they are! but i find such a particular enjoyment in looking at them u_u its really hard for me to give them up. the 90s shoujo anime styles, the 00s angular cartoon styles...idk. they appeal much more to me than modern anime and toony styles :( and that probably makes me sound like an old pretentious fart but whatever LOL thats my onion and you are free to disagree i dont rly care

but ya like. idk. as an autistic person, art has always been both my biggest special interest AND hyperfixation, so i feel super strongly abt stuff like this and it makes me happy to share my feelings so !!! there u go <3 sorry this is extremely long lol

No one ever talks about Ayano and Momo’s relationship so I request you do the honors.

i think they'd be so besties... i think they'd be so wholesome!!! they'd wanna win each other over so bad not knowing they already got it in the bag LOL they're like. friend crushes. u know when u have a person u wanna be close friends with so bad. like that.

ayano and momo would be fem best friends but their styles are so opposite. i think momo giving ayano a makeover would end the world. they'd go shopping together and all that good stuff :3 though ayano ends up the most affected after playing dressup with momo. shintaro seeing ayano walk into momo's room looking like always and comes out with a curly perm and covered in hot pink animal print and shiny boots. momo maybe convinces ayano to get a piercing in her belly button or some shit

i also think theyre THE mekadan's party planners. THEYRE IN CHARGE OF ALL BDAY PARTIES!! they brainstorm all ideas together and rly take charge!!! and throw parties about everything not just birthdays!! theyre such a menace they go all out and its always a huge event (also assign everyone a job lmao they'd get So Bossy and perfectionist)

i think momo's one of the people who activates ayano's excitable side. they're girl best friends who flap their hands around and scream when they run into each other. also if were on a kidomomo/shinaya moment its double wholesome ive talked abt it before but i think they'd always go on double dates bc kido and shintaro are besties too. but i think ayano and momo aren't just besties... they're sisters!!! i think they see each other in a sisterly way!

by the way i think ayano managing to be such good friends with momo gets her a ticket to becoming closer to mary and hiyori. she's desperate to be close to hiyori who i think dislikes her bc her Big Sister thing repels her and she hates that ayano talks to her like they're super close just cuz they're blood related. also ayano talks to hiyori like a kid (she talks like thst to everyone its the big sister in her) and hiyori HATES it. the hiyori and ayano relationship...its a tough one!

so while being friends with momo doesn't help her win hiyori's approval it gives her more opportunities to hang out with her. and mary doesn't dislike ayano but we know mary is REALLY socially awkward and yea she got comfy fast with all the new members right away but since mekatrio has always spoken so highly of ayano... she's nervous!! AND ALSO technically ayano and mary HAVE SEEN past routes too, because ayano used favoring to see shintaro's memories of them and then used favoring to give them to mary to let her know, and yknow. THATS what stop the loops. ofc we dont know HOW MUCH they know, ive always imagined shintaro just shared the fact there's been loads of resets but not each individual route as he remembers. but if they were to know of the route where ayano wanted to get rid of mary.. it'd be awkward. i think they'd know a little bit of it, not necessarily cuz shintaro shared it (i rly think he shared as least as possible) but they'd find out through the explanation of Who yaki is and the creation of shintaro's power. since yknow it was a plan by all three of them. they'd be trying to be friends but theyre both pretty awkward about it.
