Doing Bloodweave playthroughs from both sides of the ship and seeing takes that some actions required are a bit OOC I want to point something out:
Origin!Gale as the leader by circumstance must wake up every day and work hard to keep the group stable. Establishing a routine and going through tasks you can't brush aside is actually very helpful to keep your depression in check. Tara is also here with him, which is a source of comfort for someone who desperately misses their home. He’s also in full control of the party’s stash of artifacts which helps, putting his mind at ease more or less. And be a bit hornier than he is as a dependent companion.
Origin!Astarion as the leader by circumstance might find himself in a situation where: 1) he doesn't need someone to keep him safe because he has a small private army that mostly heeds to his word; 2) it's contra-productive to lay with all of them. And being too close to home in a nasty way. And the potential drama. Pretending to listen and actually listen and adapt? Probably a better option. Not to mention that at some point the Artifact might end up in his pocket. And without it his companions are doomed.

Oppenheimer. Folks, Oppenheimer. Wow. Just... wow. I saw the film last night, and I'm still reeling from the after-effects. It's going to be hard getting this out of my system, but I'm going to try.
1) The screen. I know the whole movie's shot in IMAX or whatever (I'm sorry I'm not good with the technical terms) and that the best cinematic experience would be in an IMAX theatre - but I know so many people who are waiting on IMAX 2D seats because of the exorbitant ticket prices. The price of an IMAX 2D ticket at cinema halls in my area are literally 3-4 times the price of an average ticket. It's kind of ridiculous. It's honestly okay to watch the film on any screen; in my opinion, in no way does it ruin the experience.
2) Cillian Murphy. I honestly don't know what to say. Just... him. His look and acting is absolutely phenomenal. He was perfect as the man. And not to mention,,, he's so hot. All the nude shots were a pleasure. <3
3) THE CINEMATOGRAPHY. Oppenheimer's most vulnerable shots, the most visceral imaginings of his mind, were shot in the most amazing ways possible. People blurring in Oppenheimer's gaze? The terrifying blank silences? Some shots of this kind gave a very very real impression of what anxiety feels like to me, and in this regard, the film made me feel very... seen. The screen trembling when he had to give uncomfortable answers? The rapid staccato beats when he got anxious? I'm not presuming what Oppenheimer's issues were, but for me, the projection of anxiety was very real, and made me almost tear up.
4) The writing, the "bigger picture" plotline, the dialogue and wordplay - it was all just pure, pure genius. It was a literal, breathtaking masterpiece.
5) I wish more people could understand the film. All of humankind deserves access to this kind of conversation, and it made me sad that so many people couldn't understand or relate to what was happening in the film, and retreated to their phones. It's such an important story to be told; it's a pity it isn't more approachable.

Dude, it’s so bad. So like, what if the reason that Thunder is a lot my “by the book” and kind of stricter than Shiny is because Alex realized that she lost Shiny cause he thought and acted too human and on instinct. So when she made Thunder she chose to make him more restrained and rational and obedient so they wouldn’t lose another robot.
I have literally been thinking about that all week

"i'm not good at anything" – most of us don't take our own skills into account and instead choose to compare them to the ones other people show to the world, which seem to be better than ours but are often not the whole picture. people tend to only show the best of their works, and that's okay, but it's unfair for you to compare your usual work to their best; especially if they are more experienced and/or have a different skill than the one you're comparing.
i doubt you're being honest with yourself, and even if you are, your ability does not define your value. don't strive to be useful or skilled, strive to be a nice person with cool hobbies; regardless of what other people think of those same hobbies.

Dear Tumblr,
Our world is dying, the people around us are dying, the arts are dying. It doesn’t matter if you won’t be around to see it, because you are there. It doesn’t matter when the true death of any of this happens be cause you are here right now, and living.
And I swear people are trying, they’re chaining themselves to the wall and taking to the streets. People are dying, there is war. Heat is rising and NO ONE IS LISTENING.
I wish there was a way to express desperation, to show how deeply I am feeling. How so many people are feeling, this is more than fear and worries. This is happening and we are desperate. It doesn’t matter that there are other planets, because we aren’t there, we are here, on earth.
I don’t think humans are inherently good or evil, but I think that there is a level of power that elevates humans into self assigned gods, how else do you explain this?
I need to do something and I don’t know what. Every action feels to small and there isn’t enough people. I don’t know, oh my god I don’t know anymore. But it doesn’t matter.
But I’m sure there has to be something said about an existence that is eternally worth it. And there has to be something said about frogs in boiling water, turning up the heat itself.
Humans and humanity are not inherently good or evil, but we are aware. We know the consequences, we know what we are doing. Maybe not always but we do now and those in control, the government, the rich. We know, they all know.
If this is the future you want, a self destruction that follows suit of an atomic bomb, I don’t know what to say.
We are burning and salting the earth. Is this the future you want?
Sincerely,
Desperation.

Okay so I was very for Gijeong getting with Taehoon a few episodes back (they were really cute together... and we don't see young single dad characters in kdrama often + Lee Kiwoo is hot) but now I don't think it works anymore. I think there are too many roadblocks and they keep hurting her both physically and emotionally. Even if we keep the rejection and the broken arm (that was mostly Gijeong's fault but hear me out for a moment) aside, there is the nasty sister, Taehoon's insecurities, and a child who is going through it (I'm not going to villainise Yurim. She clearly was hit hard by what her mom did and is now taking it out on her dad, and yeah maybe she is acting like a brat. Not trying to justify it. But it is understandable behaviour. Being a child of divorce sucks. Especially when one parent decides to disappear out of your life. But I digress). But back to Gijeong. Maybe it's just me but she keeps trying to fake her personality when she's with Taehoon. And that boy has not even done the bare minimum yet. I do not think he did enough to defend her from his asshole sister. Also I just,,, do not find the Nirvana album stuff cute???? Not to mention the whole laugh crying in front of all her coworkers scene(it was hilarious and kinda relatable) , but like he just said this album reminds me of you??? She is down so bad for him. Like girlie get UP.
She is much more herself with the boss guy (idk his name) plus they can talk to each other about anything and did you see the LINGERING LOOK™ he gave her when she was leaving the restaurant???? Not saying there will be no difficulties if it happens, I mean her coworkers are pretty much assholes to her for no reason but the guy is pretty great I think. I mean he LISTENS to her. That makes him infinitely more attractive to me than Taehoon, who is kinda very caught up in his own problems atm (and that's not bad at all! Just that he needs to sort his own shit out- especially the sister bs- before bringing anyone else into that dynamic).

this is perhaps lesbian of me but one thing i very much noticed in my travels trying to connect with both men and women that made me realize that women are who i preferred to sleep with was that… during sex men are ‘present’ or so focused but always on the wrong things meanwhile women seem to transcend reality and go somewhere else that is unbridled and absolutely fucking awesome and that’s just so much cooler to me personally

I've been on tiktok a lot lately and people seem to be very fond of the hc of Sirius randomly telling a responsible adult (mostly Mcgonagall) that his mom uses Crucio on him and other variations of abuse.
My lovelies. The one thing children with abusive parents don't do is overshare. In fact, they don't even bring the abuse up until they have a ridiculous level of trust on the person they're talking to, and even then they're careful.
Why, you ask?
Because if there's a slight chance that any of that information is going to get back to the parent in question, the abuse is going to get so much worse.
The House of Black are a massively respected and influential wizarding world family. If Sirius goes around telling adult figures about his mother's methods, the adults will surely try to step in, but the odds are they will most likely fail.
The Wizarding world does not have a fair system (and Sirius sure knows about that firsthand, in canon), and when Mcgonagall does her best, but without proof or the power to overthrow Walburga and Orion's influence, it is inevitable that he'll have to go home in the summer. Right to his mother's lap.
Chilling, right? That's why children under those circumstances don't talk, unless they are completely cornered or they fully trust that there's no way things will backfire on them. Keep that in mind when you're writing headcanons about him (or any other character under those circumstances, in any universe).
This doesn't mean you can't add details, but it does mean they should be subtle. Flinching. Nightmares. A regular activity/food/object that everyone else is unphased by but he can't stand. Get creative! But unless you're backing him into a corner and taking the choice of hiding from him, remember to be subtle.

We need to talk more about jobs where your employers aren’t evil capitalistic nightmares. Like if you work at publicly funded or non-profit organisations for example, your bosses often won’t be the worst or evil or just out to exploit you, the goals of the organisation might be really good and important. But here’s the thing:
That doesn’t mean you have to put up with their shit.
I’m currently working such a job and kinda considering quitting bc they expect more from me than I signed up for, I’m expected to do a lot of tasks that weren’t in the job description when I started and that I don’t really want to do and most importantly one of my bosses has the bad habit of calling or texting me at times when I’m not working bc ‘‘something urgent came up’‘.
But I haven’t quit yet and I’m still hesitant to do so bc they’re already understaffed and underfunded and finding a replacement for me would be hard and the work we do is Important and Good.
And all the posts that I usually see going around how you should quit bad jobs and how you don’t owe your employers anything are always along the lines of ‘‘they’re just exploiting you anyway, they just wanna make money you don’t owe them your time’‘ and to those I always mentally kinda respond with ‘‘well.... no. actually. their goal isn’t to make money of me. their goal is to continue doing this important work, so this post doesn’t apply to me’‘
So for everyone who is also working for good important orginisations that nevertheless do not treat you right (or where the job is simply not right for you):
You are allowed to quit. Yes the work is important, yes it’s good, but no they won’t drown without you and you do not owe them anything. If they do fall apart because you quit they would always have fallen apart sooner or later - bc someone will always quit at some point. You do not have to work unpaid overtime or keep changing your schedule to accomodate them. You should not work while sick, even if they ‘‘need’‘ you. You can and should walk away if they do not treat you right. Even if it’s not their fault that they’re underfunded and understaffed. Yes it sucks, but you gotta walk away if your job hurts you (assuming you can walk away of course, money wise and all that).
Working for a good cause is great, but you gotta put yourself first. There’s many many good causes out there, you can find one to work for that you’re not suffering for.

i have nothing against milkvan shippers. i just see the ship as bullshit. but as long as you can respect me and my opinions, and understand the reasoning behind why i ship what i ship, great. like, there’s evidence. acknowledge that there’s evidence but “i just like mike and el better.” i will respect the fucking hell out of just preferring mike and eleven’s dynamic.
but i am going to start blocking the people i see who ship fucking milkvan and call us bylers “delusional” and “obsessive” and “stupid” because there’s so much fucking evidence for byler and against endgame melvin. denial is not just a river in egypt.
ALSO YOURE BEING FUCKING ASSHOLES JUST LEAVE US THE FUCK ALONE
like no i dont want to hear you say that im a fucking ****** when you’re being a fucking homophobic dick
