You get kai and bonnie so much together and individually everything you say fits them in canon so well it's too bad the writers really fumbled with them because when kai showed up he was a breath of fresh air and the best part about him is he's all about bonnie that was new and realistic bonkai was their last shot at getting the vampire diaries interest back up again

AH thank you so much for this lovely message, you're so sweet!! Yes, it really is such a shame the writers fumbled Bonkai bc it rly did seem like they had some great ideas there in the beginning, but the execution fell flat :( I feel like Kai was a breath of fresh air not just for us fans but also the cast & crew! U could rly feel their spark of new excitement for a dying show when kai showed up bc i think they all sensed that he was unique and different from the tired, recycled plotlines they'd had since S4.

Ian in particular seemed much more interested in his scenes when Kai was around (and much more lifeless when he wasn't) and Bonnie ofc was *given* much more interesting scenes when Kai was around, compared to prior seasons. Even Alaric & Jo, who started S6 as rick's new boring romance of the season, became relevant, layered and interesting bc of their links to Kai. Like rick loved to play the hero & act like damon was morally beneath him in S6 but his need to protect Jo from Kai brought out a selfish streak that made him go behind Jo & her fam's back to make shady deals w Damon & Kai as long as it kept Jo safe! Even Jo was revealed to be quite crafty considering her backstory of how she tricked & betrayed Kai in 1994, which made her much more interesting than her early role as rick's bland gf.

Even Liv & Luke were (im sorry) SO BORING in S5 but 1000x more interesting in S6 once their story got linked to Kai. His existence single-handedly linked so many disjointed characters & plotlines from previous seasons (like why'd they even bring Rick back after dying in S3? His relationship w Jo (and by extension, Kai) was the only thing that made him relevant for the rest of the goddamn show)! Even the Heretics were introduced to the show through KAI & the gemini/siphoner lore and fully lost steam as soon as Kai wasn't there to make 'em interesting!

As for Kai's links to Bonnie, ya i agree she rly was their last chance to make things interesting bc they'd already given Elena & Caroline "dark" romances that fans were too attached to to accept anything else (see: Delena being forced to stay together; Steroline forever being overshadowed in most fans' minds by Klaroline) so giving Elena & Caroline new pairings would've disappointed fans, whereas Bonnie was a blank slate they could've gone WILD with bc none of her canon pairings had strongly attached fans... yet they gave Elena & Caroline new romances anyway and scrapped Bon's romance with Kai :)))

That is what felt malicious. In S6 alone, they gave Elena who ALREADY HAD DAMON the new guy Liam, then gave Caroline the same guy Liam, Enzo (briefly) AND Stefan, whereas Bon *almost* got Kai & *fully* lost Jeremy in S6. ??? Any writer who paid half as much attention to her fans as Plague did (considering how much ott fan-service she wrote into tvd & how many twitter fights she got into w fans whose ships she disapproved of) HAD to have known her fans wouldn't accept Caroline/Enzo, Care/Stef, Care/Liam or Elena/Liam as much as they loved Care/Klaus & Elena/Damon. Yet she did it anyway bc she preferred LOSING FANS to giving Bonnie someone interesting!

She even planned Kai to be Bon's love interest in S6 bc she thought he wouldn't be popular w fans & instantly torpedoed that once she noticed fans' love for him bc, as I said before, Plague PAID ATTENTION to her fans' reactions. So fans having lukewarm feelings about Steroline was enough to get 'em married, but fans LIKING Kai was enough to get Bonkai axed. It's a common joke that Plague saw Caroline as her self-insert (neurotic, hyper-organized blonde control-freak) which is why she dated more men than even Elena. But I think a large chunk of tvd's white teen girl fans saw Care as a self-insert too (bc w each subsequent season, Caroline was increasingly written & designed that way, which is why fans turned on tvd's original self-insert, Elena, & worshipped Care instead).

Her "im never the one, im not perfect like elena" insecurities made her a blank canvas for (white) girls to see themselves in, which is why she wins Miss Mystic Falls, why she's a privileged Founding Fam member, why she gets to dress fancy & go to Mikaelson balls that have nothing to do w her, why she gets ALL the men, why she becomes the 1st vampire to be pregnant, why she gets to marry Stefan (then instantly lose him so she can go kiss Klaus in the spin-off), why she gets to be tvd's last vampire standing, why she repeatedly gets to have her cake and eat it too. By presenting Elena as "perfect/ideal" & Caroline as an "underdog," fans naturally sympathized more with Care's "struggle" (even tho she repeatedly got EVERYTHING!) Based on this, Plague refused to let ppl like Klaus date Bonnie (which would've made sense) but shoved him w Caroline (which didn't make narrative sense) bc that gave her & white fans the chance to see themselves in Care & feel like THEY were dating Klaus.

(Btw I wanna add that I actually do like & enjoy Caroline! This is a critique of the shadiness that went into *writing* Caroline, not a critique of Caroline herself)

Similarly, Kai was allowed to want Bonnie as long as fans didn't like him, but once he got popular, Plague killed Bonkai bc she believed that she & her (white) fans wouldn't be able to see themselves in Bonnie and feel like THEY were the ones dating Kai. But Kai was not Klaus, Stefan, Damon, Enzo or Kol. His character was CONCEIVED w Bonnie in mind to the point that erasing his obsession w her would make him not even feel like KAI anymore. And that wouldn't work bc fans wanted gucci kai, not walmart kai. Also, his general personality quirks were just not the type that would vibe w Caroline. Chris Wood said it himself, "Kai likes to be the one who talks, he doesn't like to listen, so I think Caroline might make him wanna snap her neck & move on" bc Caroline ALSO likes to talk. So writing him w Care would change Kai too much & writing him w Elena was not an option bc Delena was set in stone & Nina was leaving. So, how'd plague have her cake & eat it too? She refused to let Bon have Kai, and bc there was no other white girl who made sense for him, she kept Kai eternally single so white fans could eternally imagine themselves w him.

And uk what's the worst part? I don't believe all white fans would've necessarily struggled to see themselves in Bonnie if she'd dated Kai. I think Bonnie being the ACTUAL underdog struggler of the show made her very relatable to people, regardless of what your race is (esp bc tvd rarely addressed her race or centered any plotlines on it). I think Plague's own subconscious biases just made it impossible for her to fathom seeing herself in a PoC character, which is why she wrongly assumed all her majority white fans worked the same way & letting Bonkai happen would've disappointed them & made them stop watching. (But that being said, even if it was just a "business decision" to her... isn't it funny how disappointing masses of white klaroline fans didn't stop her from tossing Care at stef, enzo, whoever she wanted, but ONLY stopped her when it came to Bonnie's ships (bc she was looking for excuses to scrap 'em anyway)? Oh plagueee ur biases are showing, girlieee)

i don't usually get involved with team stuff but mini rant (im low-key losing my fucking mind)

I don't understand people who are Team Green, and not because of their opinions on the characters. I find Team Green as some of the most complex, interesting characters in the whole lot of asoiaf.

1: First of all, the treatment of the strong boys. They act like Jace and Luke are absolute monsters; which, I don't necessarily agree with, but without bias I do agree they are not pure and cherubic angels. Lucerys is impulsive and childish, making jokes about actual trauma and maiming a ten year old who was influenced by his older brother. Jacaerys has extreme anger issues which lead to him acting arrogantly and stubbornly to the respite of his elders.

This does not mean they are *demons*, though, and do not deserve to be treated as such. I've seen people say that they were horrible for not showing a horrified reaction to Vaemond's death, that they should've felt remorse; what choice was for them to make? Lucerys was openly against the thing, wishing his own birthright upon the person who tried to usurp him; Jacaerys heard only the words "whore" and "bastards", which set him off. I do not blame him for this in the slightest; those words have been used his entire life to demonize him, villainize him and his mother.

Other people say Rhaenyra was terrible for making her sons believe they were real Targaryens, not admitting they were bastards and trying to persuade them from the throne. This take is just - abhorrent, imo. Jacaerys was taught by his grandsire, his mother, his father that he was going to inherit the throne just like his mother would before him. Lucerys and him obviously knew they were bastards - it is hard to ignore when everyone looks at you in the street, points you out, suggests you are not what you say. Jacaerys also spent his entire life, especially in the Dance, trying to prove himself a worthy heir. His traits of being well-studied and righteous were given to Aemond, because there would be no debate on who to choose if not.

"Team Green writers should've written the show! They're making the Blacks too sympathetic!"

The blacks are supposed to be the sympathetic ones. They are the tragedy of the war; the close-knit family that, in their pursuit to stay together, were torn apart and murdered by themselves. Joffrey died alone. Lucerys died alone. Jacaerys died alone. Daemon died alone. Rhaenyra was the only one who died with her son. They were the epitome of a caring, loving family - and what did that get them? Their reluctance to be ruthless resulted in the cold murder of a child. Lucerys was 13 in the book - 14/15 in the show. His death should be as hard hitting and as sympathetic as Jaehaerys, but somehow, it is not. To make a joke about Vhagar ripping Arrax to pieces is funny, to make a joke about Blood and Cheese is horrible. The double standard is just *baffling* to me.

Another thing - most of TG loves Jon Snow. They think that Daenerys was mad, that she deserved to die, that she was evil. By this precedent, if you can accept a legitimized bastard on the throne in the form of Jon, why is it *so hard* to picture Jacaerys on the throne?

They had absolutely no screentime. The writers gave a scene to a fucking *foot fetish*, and they could not give us a scene of Lucerys, Jacaerys, or Joffrey. Especially when Lucerys was going to die in that season - he had a total of 23 minutes of screentime, and near 6 minutes of lines. That is not even half of an episode worth - especially for him to just be sitting in the background. And the times when he is talking? He is made to be the most unsympathetic character, ever. Laughing at Aemond, attacking Aemond - he is used mainly as a plot device, and it's sad, because I truly believe he deserved better than that, bc Elliot Grihault is a great actor :D

might make a part 2 if this idiot in a discord RP keeps insisting tg is righteous and perfect and amazing and MY fav characters suck ass

What do you think of laenyra?

Personally I'm not invested I just needed more than they gave us to really start to care but its still cute. I got the vague implication in f&b and though I kind of wish they'd included Laena more in the show I also get why their relationship was sacrificed. it wasn't an important element of the book, tbh it was barely there at all, we didn't lose some great gay love story or anything. plus daemon was there too. so. immediately im put off. but when its just rhaenyra and laena I can see the vision.

However. what I do have a big issue with is the narrative around it in the fanbase. Almost every other time I see laenyra mentioned its as a prop to hate on rhaenicent fans. And like 1) why not both? 😏 and 2) the rhaenicent relationship did a lot of the heavy lifting to consolidate the plot of season 1 given how quickly they wanted to get to the dance (I have criticisms there but that's another post)... laenyra could not have done the same, laena just doesn't hold the right space in the story for it. so people saying they should have replaced one relationship with the other makes literally no sense. they're not interchangeable just because they're both wlw pairings.

I'm honestly just very icked out by half the hotd fanbase, most of whom aren't gay women lets be honest, acting as if a lot of the wlw side enjoying a wlw pairing (that's practically canon and no more toxic than 90% of the other popular pairings) is weird or disgusting in some way. Like not to be dramatic bc I know fandoms act like this regardless of whether a pairing is gay or not... but in this context its coming across pretty fucking homophobic and they should reel it in. Especially because many of them act morally superior about loving laenyra so much when actually laenyra has so few fan works there's literally no way the majority of them are invested at all.

I am glad you said something I was going tomorrow say something similar this afternoon. Cirie is not a bad player but her game is not what her fans are making it out to be. She is not even the one keeping herself off the block this week. Where is the mist they mentioned? It is lacklustre and not the slam dunk win they are trying to sell.

Agreed. All season I’ve wanted to see more from her and it just kind of went no where. She’s good at repositioning herself and has laid low post Izzy and Jared but at the same time, she became less of a threat to the house without them so they overlook her anyway. But it’s like… of course they’re overlooking her with two duos right there. So can we really credit that as a move or as the nature of the house rn?

I think my issue is that I don’t mind a passive player in bb but at some point there has to be something else we (everyone in the house and us as the audience) can point to and say “that’s was a great move that benefited her game!” And I don’t think I’ve personally seen that from her so I’d love to hear her talk more about it. If she makes it to final two I think her answers and speech could provide some clarity.

When I think of the first half of this game, she had all the control and fumbled it by targeting people that could’ve shielded her core three and gave it up on a whim. Which was fun to watch but it ended up biting her in the butt now. She did recover Felicia but planting the seeds against her so early and almost out of nowhere was.. an unnecessary choice. It’s a miracle that she got her back on her side.

I just can’t call her a good player when she came in with a huge advantage of having Jared there (which became a huge disadvantage and was frustrating to watch,) had a super fan willing to die on the cross for her (completely unintentional,) and made a bunch of messy alliances just for it to get out (moves she had complete control over).

This house is full of messy gameplay and full of people that can’t lie or keep secret for more than five seconds. She can, so she has that going for her and outwardly it seems more impressive.

It’s like when a queen from drag race goes on all stars and I didn’t watch their season so I just.. have nothing to go on until I see how well they do or don’t do on the current season. That’s the camp I land in with Cirie. I don’t doubt that she’s a god tier survivor player but that doesn’t and hasn’t guaranteed that she’s also a great bb player and she doesn’t have to be. I feel like a lot of her fans can’t take her bb game for face value and admit that’s it’s just fine. Also the stan wars this season are insufferable so some of that plays into how I feel about her just like the people that don’t like Cory & America bc of the shippers.

But overall Idk if complaining about it is me just being over this season or if I’m harping on shit that doesn’t matter but it’s day fucking whatever of this long ass season and I desperately hope we get a good winner out of this cast bc it has to be worth it or Mr. CBS is gonna get it.

i was 12. my favorite tv show at the time was this old disney cartoon, "super robot monkey team hyper force go" (abbreviated as SRMTHFG or SRMTHG. i prefer the first but plenty of people use the second.) it was canceled after its 4th season and, uh. the ending was SO bad. like, major major cliffhanger.

anyway, i was looking up... i don't even remember at the time. and i discovered deviantart, and i discovered this person's OCs. read a lot about them, including some fanfic, and then eventually discovered fanfiction.net

i didn't realize what it was at first; i thought it was just a writing in general site? and i was like oh! i can share the book i'm working on! (i have been trying to write a novel since i was 10). and then as i was looking into where i would post it, i realized what it actually was. (no, the title didn't give it away. idk why.)

so then i was like oh!!! this is really cool actually!!! and i wrote my first fanfic xD

that was in 2011? so i was 12, almost 13.

Omg I've been rewatching supernatural too (I'm like halfway through season 5) and tbh Gabriel has always been one of my favs!

Fic idea: Gabriel x Winchester!Reader where she gets injured on a hunt. He comes and saves her on the brink of death and watches over her as she recovers, much to the confusion of Sam and Dean. Maybe Gabriel and reader have feelings for each other but never admitted (until after she recovers ofc)?

Sam looked up from his book as Dean put down a beer bottle in front of him. Dean sat down opposite him and took a swig from his own bottle and said,

“Weirder than usual that is.”

“What do you mean?” asked Sam

“I dunno,” Dean took another sip, “Just a feeling around them. Like, whenever I go into a room and they’re in there already I feel like I’m interrupting something. Just the looks they give me, especially Gabriel.”

“He did save her life.”

“And how many times have we done that?” said Dean angrily, “We’ve know her, her whole life. He swoops in a saves her one time-“

“More than once.” Interrupted Sam, giving Dean a pointed look

“Whatever. You noticed how he didn’t leave her side? Hardly let us spend any time with her.”

Sam shook his head, a small smile on his face, much to the annoyance of Dean.

“What?” Dean asked

“It’s obvious.” Sam said

“What is?”

“Seriously,” Sam gave him a disbelieving look, “You really don’t know?”

“Know what?”

“Gabriel is in love with y/n.”

Sam had to force himself to keep a straight face as Dean choked on his beer and almost fell out of his chair. Laughing at his brother wouldn’t do anything to improve the sudden tension in the room. Dean glared at Sam and shook his head.

“No,” he said firmly, “No. He can’t be. She can’t be. Y/n has more sense than that to go falling in love with Gabriel of all people.”

“Struck me a bit strange at first,” said Sam, “But it’s obvious when you think about it.”

“No it isn’t.”

Dean’s reply came out too quickly and Dean looked away at Sam’s pointed stare.

“You saw the way he looked at her,” Sam said quietly, “He hardly left her side.”

“No, that’s just creepy. Doesn’t mean he’s in love with her.”

Dean looked away as he took a deep drag from his beer. He put his bottle down, a little harder than he intended, and said,

“You think she knows?”

Sam opened his mouth but closed it with a snap as you and Gabriel walked passed. The archangel had his arm slung over your shoulder. The look you were giving him was half way between amused and annoyed. Gabriel must’ve told you once of his stupid jokes. You were probably the only person who actually found them even faintly funny. He really should’ve seen it earlier.

Dean’s jaw clenched when he saw the two of you together. He gripped the bottle tightly, violence at the forefront of his mind. Sam doubted that glassing Gabriel wouldn’t do much good and would only piss you off.

“Yeah,” said Sam, “Yeah I think she knows.”

Dean turned his attention back to Sam but before he could say anything the familiar sound of fluttering wings filled the room. The two brother looked over (well, in Dean’s case glared) as Gabriel appeared at the end of the table. A smirk spread across his face as Dean stood up.

“Oi, Gabe, where the fuck have you gone?” you called

“Be there is a second, sugar.” Gabriel called back, looking between Dean and Sam

He winked at the two brothers before once again disappearing. Dean slammed his fist down on the table and marched out of the room followed very closely by Sam. Someone needed to try and be damage control.

“Y/n,” he shouted, “We need to talk.”

“Ahh, fuck,” you said, “Gabe, what have you done now?”

Why YOU should vote for Heatherra in the yuri bracket (Part 2)

Right off the bat, EPISODE 1 of World Tour, Heather says her best strategy is to become friends with the new girl.

"I do not heart the new girl."

You know what that means to me? Heather right away say Sierra's strength as a competitor, and she wanted to have Sierra have an alley until whatever! If Total Drama had good writing, IMAGINE the Heather/Sierra alliance! Good they would've been so fucking powerful that's literally the reason why they didn't go anyway where with this storyline.

Episode 1 of World Tour we were introduced to this great plot like where we could've had Total Drama Yuri Tour real but noOoOoO they just had to make Sierra like that.

The next major interaction is in Broadway, Baby! Besides getting my Alesierra on, I'm also getting my Heatherra on! Heather does not want Sierra to fall for Alejandro's tricks. Sierra in return knows she being played by the both of then. Heather wants Sierra to stay on her side. Literally looking out for Sierra to make sure she doesn't lose Chris' trust.

God if the writers were yuri enough we could've had Heather release Sierra and Sierra ONLY in the Am-AH-Zon race.

Can't Help Falling in Louvre. I know the plot is C*dy related but the fact that Heather needed Sjerra to get better is enough for me. Heather knows Sierra's strength, and Heather needs Sierra to be on her a-game for Team Amazon to win.

If you guys do not see the potential that Jamaica Me Sweet has, I'm sorry. Crash landing in Jamaica has potential written all over it, for all the characters.

Sorry this is like where the interactions fall out bc the writers suck. Anyway Sweden Sour had toxic yuri written all over it. The Amazon fight scene? That's literally toxic yuri. Screw you I'm getting my Heathneyerra on or something.

But they team up this epsiode, and jwidisufjsjjf. And you know what? This is where Alejandro took Cody to first class. That's right. I'm talking about the Heatherra economy class for 48 hours. WHAT DID THEY DO!!!!

I already talked about Rapa Phooey so here's a short summary: Girlfriends are forever.

Awwwww, Drumheller. I love the first half of the epsiode where Sierra is just always gonna attack Heather. More toxic yuri. Also Heather liking Sierra's dinosaur? You know? Despite the only Winx member to not be or explicitly retconned into a princess, drawing this made me realize that out of all the Winx Flora's style is easily the most classical princess. Which I think it really cool. Elegant is the word I'd use to describe Flora. You've probably noticed that all the hair style collections have a bit of a theme to them, and Flora's is braids! I think braids both match her elegant vibe, while also being practical for digging though the dirt so I had a bunch of fun putting different braids on her

Also the one thing I'll give the later seasons props for is doing more with her bangs. I see you

On to my individual thoughts

Classic Flora: I gave her a braid because she's an elegant lady. Plus it fits her cottage core vibes so well AND it's practical for gardening!!! Perfect hairstyle, everyone else can go home

Alternative: I have nothing much to say aside from this style of top would look great on Flora, and this is a much smaller cuter alternative to a normal braid. For when she wants her hair down but with some cute flair to it

Crown Flora: ok so I've been pretty loudly annoyed at how all the girls have long hair in the later seasons, giving them all the EXACT same silhouette, and it drives me crazy. After Musa grows out her hair I wanted to chop someone's one to two seasons later to fix this problem. Stella would never chop her hair, and neither would Aisha. So that just left Bloom and Flora, and I remembered how gorgeous and regal Tears of the Kingdom Zelda looked with the short hair with the crown braid, so I immediately gave it to Flora and she looks so beautiful ahhhh!!!! I swear she'd just be able to convince people she's a princess just with her vibes. Also s1 casual party Flora outfit supremacy

Date night: This is a pull through braid!!!!! It was the main reason I wanted to draw Flora with a bunch of braids!!!! It's a beautiful thick braid that perfectly captures the cottage core vibe and they look like upsidedown hearts!!!!! It's soooo pretty!!!!! Absolute Flora going on a date night!!! I picked out a pretty sorta corset dress for her, and half circle earrings, to compete the look. I love it so much

Disco Flora: This is absolutely on of my favorite Flora hair styles, maybe even in my top two. It's just so beautiful. It's the one of the very few times a high side ponytail works, and it works so well. It's a giant ass twisty braid!!! It's so beautiful and so thick and I just love the way it looks. Flora my beloved!!! It's the main reason I will say I like the s3 disco outfits despite the crimes. This hairstyle is worth it

Cozy Flora: This also doubles as a gardening look. I really love the way the top bun looks with the short hair. I think it would look a bit silly with long hair? But it looks so beautiful with the short hair and I just love it so much. I gave her fam shaped earrings bc just bc she's chilling doesn't mean she has to go without. This outfit is pretty clearly inspired by the s4 painting bc omg miss Flora in red so beautiful I am in love with you ma'am

Guardian fairy: I really didn't have an event for this one? I just saw a picture of Flora with flowers in her hair and a different one of her in a halter top, and I combined them to make them both better into this and it's just so pretty. Flora is really made for high ponytails. I love the flower in her hair, and this shade of pink is probably one of my favorites of my favorite color so I'm super biased towards this outfit. I love it sm. I imagine she's doing a formal event at Linphea, not as formal as other planets, as the new guardian fariy

School formal: I do not understand how Flora's original hair worked,, so it's gone now. It has sections of lighter color hair giving it a pin cushion look??? I could of just done normal space buns and ignored the pincushion aspect, but I remembered her s4 pajamas hair and I really liked that so I put them here. I also changed her top a little more to look more like a dress. Obviously the leaf earrings for the soul

Gala attendee: Flora goes full elegant!! She gets the full crown braid here, with flowers in it!! She's rocking the flower princess look, especially with the drapey dress I picked out for her all that time ago!!! tldr; i was honestly disappointed but i still don't think it was completely awful + i hope if they do a 2nd season it's better *wants to see milly*.... fuck the director though

the major problems were that the pacing was soooooo weird n some of the changes (both story wise and design wise) they made were questionable esp towards the latter half

my positive points:

i do still think individual eps at the first half were really good

i loved the animation + how they used colors

the backgrounds are cool

the artstyle shift in wolfwood's flashback was cool

i've always been "ok" abt vashwood honestly (sorry) but i will acknowledge they were very yaoiful here. i saw a person who didn't ship vashwood say the ep in tristamp where they literally just met made them ship it which was really funny bc how did that change your mind so fast

i'm ngl the milly + eriks name drops made me *JAWDROP* but that's something that only matters to ppl who watched/read the ogs first

my negative points (uh oh):

white washed wolfwood (+ his skintone is soo inconsistent in merch)

they gave vash no room to breathe n he doesn't get big sillay moments after ep 3

^ this is true for every character except i guess roberto? more on roberto later

^^^ goes with the previous too points but it felt like they were way too focused on the drama n sadness without enough (long lasting) happy or hopeful moments to contrast or balance it out overall - to the point were the characterization of our main cast suffered for it bc there wasn't enough there with them to make that properly work. and THEN the silly moments ended up suffering too bc they start feeling out of place. the drama beats kept happening one after the other at breakneck speed without breaks, messing up the pacing as well (i can kinda blame this at least partially on the fact they only had 12 eps when the og was 26 eps but i've watched plenty of 12 ep series with great pacing so i don't really know what happened here?)

i disagreed with this at first, but the lore with vash being front-loaded really did hurt the story a bit in the long run. obviously they did still spread the full details out over the course of the show but it was :\

specific to "the running man"- it's my fav ep tbh but it was strange how all the townsfolk were partying w the nebraskas with no indication they'd arrest them after they did so much damage n vash didn't even get to fix the damaged plant?? so why were they so joyous when the initial problem wasn't solved?

roberto.... was such a weird character... he managed to be both a dick n a guy w no personality, he was there to give exposition + attempt to be funny? n then die. also the marketing staff fucking hates him he's never in any merch wtf ((edited after the finale: well now we know he wasn't meant to replace milly (i had a whole paragraph complaining abt that lol) + now i feel like they added him just to kill someone other than wolfwood off))

i can't speak much on elendria bc i had so much trouble reading trimax forever ago that i never retained anything abt her other than she's trans, but everything involving her in tristamp felt strange/ like it didn't work. i have essentially same feeling about livio here. they threw legato to the side??

thoughts after watching ftwd s5 for the first time:

- love basically every character, don't know if I love one enough to say they're my fave, they're just all cool

- I've never cared much for daniel or strand but I liked them both in this season

- ftwd morgan > twd morgan for sure. I also love having dwight around too

- the kids were annoying in the first half, I find the whole running away thing like what june had going on in s4 really annoying, but after that was over they were fine idk

- morgan and mrace are a great duo. thought they had a vibe so I looked up to see if they get together bc I really wanted to know lmao

- logan really didn't feel like a threat like... I didn't care about him at all until like ten minutes before he died lmao. the horse ppl also started out uninteresting but they've kinda grown on me

So I just finished The Strings That Bind Us, and oh my god it was such a good episode I have to rant for a bit.

The reveal that sams dad is Nonso Anozie??? As in big man?? when I tell you I SQUEALED. and ughhhh their relationship made me so happy, they just love eachother and he’s really just looking out for him and I’m really happy for Sam snout that. Also oh my god, the realization that the restaurant was named after his dad had me SOBBING IT WAS SO CUTE

The whole hate crime thing was such a good plot line. And the realistic disagreement of fight back vs fight forward with his chef friend, (I’m sorry I looked for her name but I couldn’t find it anywhere) was so good, like, it really touched on some real life stuff. And obviously this is touching on a very serious issue, but I think they did it so fucking gracefully, and the whole montage at the end of them fixing up the restaurant made me SO happy. It touches on a very serious thing but doesn’t go overboard

the strings. THE STRINGS!!!! I was laughing that entire scene istg. Roy got such a kick out of it 😂 and the number four thing, and Trent’s whole “oh my god, total football is gonna work!!” thing was so great. The “his penis is okay!!!” thing from Dani made me pause the thing I couldn’t stop laughing. also it must’ve been so funny for the people watching to see them tackling each-other all through the first half but then they end up pulling it off- it was soo awesome.

I’ve had a lot of conflicting feelings about Nate lately, but the box thing was adorable. also if someone gave me a map asking me out I would SWOON

Jane, Keeley, and the lovebombing shit- I’m so fucking glad Rebecca told her that Jane was probably lovebombing her. And honestly I was excited at the beginning bc gay representation, but, like, it’s always been roy and Keeley. Also the fact that Jane called keeley a lovebomber when she hadn’t actually mentioned anything to her is.. not great for my confidence in this relationship 🫠

aneesa has screamed bi vibes since her appearance but im so glad they actually made it canon! I wasn't expecting that. I'm glad they decided to scrap her and fabiola though, it was turning out to be kind of a meh ship and it felt like anessa just latched onto the nearest person for emotional support after her terrible rs with ben. also fab didn't seem to be into anessa as much as she was into her :( PLEASE GIVE ANESSA A LOVING GF IN SEASON 4!!!! my girl deserves sm better :( though i will say that it's kind of annoying they had all that "omg who's going to make the first move" tension that eventually led to nothing... it felt so half-hearted

eleanor and trent actually work together stupidly well. I love them your honour <333

fabiola's romantic storyline with eve has never interested me much i felt like it was the blandest thing i have ever watched.... glad they broke up and never mentioned eve again 💀💀💀 i really hope they don't redo that whole storyline with addison i think fab deserves more layers and nuance to her romantic relationships. also the fact that we got to see devi and eleanor lose their virginity on screen (at least the start of the scene) but fab's was just an offhand remark like "oh yeah we just did it offscreen"??? cmon.

rhyah is a terrible but unfortunately realistic character. perfect representation of people who will smile to your face and secretly thank god that they're not suffering your misfortunes. shoutout to the actress for doing such a great job I actually wanted to punch her in the face

paxton continues to steal my heart. I just wish they gave him a more concrete goal or desire other than him being a "kind and nice" person. (and tbh based on all the ghosting of the girls he had sex with wasn't even like. an EXCEPTIONALLY nice and kind person. so.)

I think the daxton breakup was handled the way it should be - the problem with the relationship was there from the start, it's that devi only sees paxton as this unattainable dream that signifies her ascending into popularity or whatever and doesn't like him as an actual person other than for his looks.

also i think it's hilarious how haley appears for like one episode to become best friends with paxton again to make devi jealous then completely disappears for the rest of the show

have surprised myself with how much ive been able to get done today altho i know ill be hit with exhuastion soon enough, rambling under the cut about things having mixed emotions but not all bad really

so my room in our house isnt really exactly my own room, its the room with the eletric box, water heater/softener closet, furnace filters, and the washer and dryer. its always been this way so im used to like not really ever having a space thats mine and mine alone but i wont get into that. anyway any time the seasons change (or often on my parents whim and never without any warning) we have to get to the water heater closet and the furnace filter so my room has to be torn apart to get to them. my bed is pushed up against the water heater closet so its like i sleep right next to a door so the bed has to be moved. anyway this is usually a very jarring and upsetting thing since it usually happens without warning or telling me and i have everything i own just moved without being told or warned. but today i decided to take agency in this and i was the one who moved the bed and moved all my things so my dad could get in and turn on the water so we can use the outside hose to water things.

ive been meaning to really deeply clean and sort like, everything i have and everything in my room for probably half a year now and to see what i might want to give away/keep and reorrange things and just like take stock of things for the HOPEFUL future where i can move out and be having my real own space yknow. i finally started this process and it felt good to get everything down and to really deeply dust, ive also been meaning to properly wash old stuffed animals of mine bc i love my stuffed animals dearly but some of the ones i had when i was younger are very clearly showing their age so i looked up tips and instructions on hand washing old stuffed animals and i tested it out on two ones that dont mean as much to me to see if it goes ok before trying to wash ones that i absolutely dont want to ruin and it went well! i definitely can feel myself starting to get tired and having more pain as i write this but im still happy with how much i cleaned and sorted along with washing my sheets/pillows/blankets

the thing that makes me have mixed emotions is that what ive also been meaning to do is.... take down and get rid of the things that were drawn by/given to me by the old long term friend who just suddenly cut me off with no warning or explanation and then only messaged me one more to weirdly say "well im hanging out with my new friends and theyre so cool and great" and not responding to me begging him to tell me what was going on or if i had done anything wrong and wanting to talk things out. we were long distance internet friends for over 10 years so i have a lot of drawings and books hed given me and i didnt really get to taking down a lot of drawings but i sorted through one book in particular, he used to do this thing where hed give me a comic book and hed put in sticky notes in a lot of pages with his thoughts on them. so i went through the pages and took out all the sticky notes one at a time since i want to give the comic book to someone i know will like it. and it was a very... weird feeling. taking them all out. i had read the notes and the book when he first gave it to me but now reading them it felt like.. more bitter than sweet but there was still sweetness there. i recognize looking back that i had rose tinted glasses on for the majority of our relationship and it was probably more toxic than i realized and i often blamed myself for harmful things he did. not at all saying hes a bad person or anything btw i just think we both were very damaged kids from abusive homes and i was probably toxic in ways i didnt realize as well im not without blame here but its weird to realize that our friendship wasnt as healthy as i thought it was. but reading those notes as i took them out it was like... he wrote these at a time where i know he loved me and considered me his close friend and i felt the same. and i still love him. the love i have for anyone, especially a close friend, does not just disappear. it stays within me and is not wasted. but it certainly feels like a weight on my chest in this moment.. i keep thinking, what happened? what changed? he didnt even give me this book that many years ago, maybe three or four at the longest. what happened to make him decide to cut me off like that? i dont know, and i know im not going to get closure. so i just have to hold the love i still have and let it ache but then i have to let go and continue trying to live

i dont know how soon im going to have the opportunity and resources to be able to leave my home situation, its become increasingly obvious to me that its not something i can achieve on my own for a multitude of reasons, i know ill need help and i try to remind myself that im not alone in it and that its not impossible for me to get to a safe environment where i dont feel scared and like a cornered animal. for now i feel good about my decision to try and make my living space feel nicer for myself, although im aware that it never really feels like my own space nor does it ever fully feel safe i still am trying to make jt more comfortable for myself while im here and i feel proud of myself for that

You know I could have lived with the queerbaiting or whatever the fuck this was if they didn’t do it in the way that it was pitching the hetero couple like idk if they were like yes will has feelings for Mike no he won’t tell him yes there will be heartbreak but at least it’s not playing into other relationships idk

Also fuck them for killing the only fun character we got in quiet awhile like wtf Eddie had sooooo much potential and I would have loved to see them explore his character more (i don’t even care if he wasn’t queer etc like just him as an outcast would have been fun enough) but no he had to go

also what I kinda hated about this season is how all over the place it was like with all the different groups and like I only cared about half the characters??? Like idk I wasn’t really hooked on the Russian prison plot line (and if I ever rewatch I most likely skip it 💀) the Hawkins group was by far the most interesting and gave me the feels of earlier season and wtf with Mike, will and Jonathan was idk it felt so dry (if that makes sense)

Also if we get season 5 I feel like someone will die there and maybe for once it will be an og character but idk if I’m excited for season 5 and if I want to watch it

Season 4 now in retrospect felt a lot like a filler to get all the characters back together and the new ones were just their to help them and now that they are together they aren’t needed anymore idk
