Hello, I deeply apologize if I sound rude ;A; but I was wondering if you have a tutorial on your coloring or a good link to some? I'm learning to color and I don't where to look for help...

Hiya!!! That's not rude at all omg! I'll make a little tutorial under the cut for you!!!! (I hope you mean manga colouring suhudadasda)

First thing I do is get the panel I want and size it

2. Once I've done that I reline the image with each almost everything being it's own layer (eg. Hair layer, eyes layer, lashes layer, skin layer... etc)

3. Add colours and shading & details. I like doing cell shading and adding little 'sparkles' and stars because that's just something I like!!!! You can add whatever you want depending on what you like and what you want in your colouring! For shading I use 'multiple' normally on 38% and using the clipping groups above the flat colour layer I'm working on. Lighting I use 'luminosity' and the percentage depends on how I think it looks! For stars and all that I'll keep the luminosity on 100%

4. Once I've done with all this I colour the lines by preserving the opacity and then going over that layer with what I want! I personally think this makes it seem a little more 3D idk nsdsadsa

5. I add a layer under everything to be a BG and then on top of everything I add a layer and make an overlay at around 27% which normally matches the colour of the piece. So for this one I went with a darker purple type colour

and that is pretty much everything I do! I'm sorry if this tutorial isn't the best sdmnsadsdas I just messed around until I found something I felt worked for me but I'm sure if you type in 'manga colouring/coloring (depending on how you spell it) tutorial' and things will come up!!!

I use sai for all my manga edits!

I just got my tattoo finished! It’s a tattoo done at home with a professional gun and it only took like 45 minutes. I got it originally done a year ago but the ink was old and it didn’t take but now I got it relined, shaded, AND colored!

forgot how fuckin long these comics take me to paint I'm always like yeah I'll bang it out in a few hours 😌 as if I am not making twelve individual tiny paintings

#me thinking to myself like oh well its only three pages OKAY WELL EACH PAGE HAS SEVERAL IMAGES YOU FOOL #gotta paint the backgrounds and the skin and then shade the skin and then paint the clothes and then Shade the clothes #and then paint the hair and Reline Every Single Image and Then add the tears and metalic paint pen and then add the details to the hair #and THEN clean up the borders. across twelve different tiny pictures #nawt to mention adding all the tiny details in each step like in the backgrounds or on the clothes #plus waiting for things to dry so I can layer stuff properly #AND fixing any mistakes or repainting colors I didn't end up liking #and mixing all of the colors in the first place #right now I'm only just started on the clothes step and I haven't even finished painting all the red yet 😭#anyway I'm takin a break because my body hurts lmao #ghost posts #text

I love OCs so much, okay, so I'm curious about yours! Do you have any information about them posted? Can I ask about things like their dynamics, or their favorite pastimes, or their sleep habits?

Oh sweet singing salmon, of course you can ask!! Anyone can, really. I intend to publish some day, but that's at least a decade away so I think I can have some fun now. Thank you so much!

I don’t have a ton posted about them mostly because I used to in other platforms back in my college days- Roleplay boards I ran, DeviantArt, etc. as I’ve moved through life I’ve had less time to fixate on them like I used to! A lot of my friends from those platform moved to Tumblr with me so this will be old news to some of them.

I mention Barroes and Roux, my space werewolf princes the most, as they are the protagonists of my novel series I've been working on for almost 20 years now. More about each of them and all their friends below the cut. Sorry in advance for the long post, ahahaha!

Crown Prince Roux Relin- 16 at the start of Inhumane. Roux is the heir to the planetary throne of Garthia, a planet of militaristic space-werewolves known for their tight-knit family units, combat prowess, and a sprawling galactic empire of tributary planets. Roux leads a fairly priviledged life until 16, when his father High King Boldgrend is unexpectedly killed and an unknown psionic force begins assaulting his mind. Roux flees off-planet in a haze of grief and pain, only to crash on Earth's 51: a place of intense xenobiological studies. Cut off from his powers and family influences, Roux has to learn to leave his pride behind and work together with several kind-hearted humans and other aliens to escape the monstrosities being carried out against sapient life on earth in my first novel, Inhumane. Roux is a bit wary at first and desperate to prove himself and fill his father's huge boots. He is ultimately kind though, and exceedingly loyal though prone to letting his emotions run away with him. By the end of Inhumane, Roux is both compassionate and a force to be reckoned with. Roux has mustard-blond colored hair and eyes so dark grey they border on black. He is built like a wiry teen with some muscle on them and will eventually have his father's height.

Imperial Prince Barroes Relin/Herald Death- 25. Barroes is King Boldgrend's firstborn and Roux's older half brother. Born of mixed raced heritage, Barroes's claim to the throne was hotly contested by the elder council, who eventually forced Boldgrend to marry again and produce a pureblood heir (Roux). Politically discerning even at a young age (and with some nudging from his uncles), Barroes came to the conclusion that the court and empire would be completely divided as long as he continued to exist, making it impossible for the Relin dynasty to continue to flourish. At age nine with Thundriao's help, he faked his own death and took an apprenticeship with his mercenary uncle, Tyon Mercanto. His books start there in Fledgling. Barroes founded the Aengels assassin group in his teens under Tyon's guidance only to be betrayed by his friends at 19 and left for dead (Fallen). Years later, Barroes emerges again with a whole new group of assassins (aka found family) and leads the infamous Aengels Eyrie with deadly players such as his old friend Seraph Greed, his lover Archaengel Ice, his unfaltering shadow-slipping, knife-wielding right hand man Archaengel Void (who belongs to my good friend Jay), Intrigue the ancient vessel of psionic forces (belongs to my friend TT), Seraph Asylum (Jay's), a man whom can force all violence to cease within a given field, Seraph Data (Jay's), a woman who can infiltrate any sort of technology through her own biology, and good ole Tyon. (Aengels Eyrie). Barroes and his compatriots accept all sorts of hits for hire, and are at the top of their game when old ghosts from Barroes's past come knocking...twice. The cahones! Barroes is arrogant as fuck, quick-tempered, but exceedingly intelligent. Like most Relins, he has a deep loyalty streak and is driven by his emotions, though he is a little less short-sighted than Roux. Barroes's methods can be gruesome at time, but his finesse as an assassin and fighter is unparalleled. Barroes's face claim was Chris Hemsworth. He has blond hair that as slightly paler than Roux's, and cerulean blue eyes of his Kathenin Heritage. Upon hearing of Boldgrend's death, he carves his father's trademark scar into his face, much to Greed's chagrin. He is around 6'3, roughly 300lbs, and enjoys drinking straight lime juice. Barroes seeks to intimidate or obliterate first, ask questions later.

Seraph Greed- 26/24. Barroes's best friend, a gentle giant marksman with dark curls and golden eyes, raised alongside him from the tender age of ten with retrograde amnesia. Greed, aka Gradier Montapolix, was plucked from his tribe on a frozen planet to be Bar's right hand man. When things go sideways with the Fallen, Greed is the one that spare's Bar's life and crawls back to him through a drug induced haze. Greed is quiet, long-suffering, the voice of reason, and conflict averse at first. Comically, he handles most of the eyrie's accounting and budgets, but is unmatched in terms of long-distance sniper shots. Greed has a cybernetic eye that assists him in doing so...rumor is that he lost his left natural eye to one of Barroes's teen rages. Greed looks like a bulkier Rahul Kohli.

Supreme General Thundriao Casovetti- 44. Boldgrend's childhood best friend and the leader of the Imperial Army. Thundriao has a brilliant tactical mind and a symbiosis with the king that may go beyond emotional. Thundriao is uncle to Barroes via marriage, mentor to Roux, and father to Thrice, Tandeku, and Thrianx. Much like greed, he is long-suffering but upholds his mission to protect the empire from any threats before they come to light with deadly precision. His forces are utilized both in defending Garthia and in imperialistic efforts. Thundriao is a hulk of a man at over 400 lbs and 6'4, with features akin to that of the Inuit, Maori, and Samoan cultures on earth. He has dark hair and dark blue eyes.

Tyon Mercanto- 59 looks late 30s. Barroes's maternal uncle, assassin clone playboy extraordinaire. Tyon is part of a race known as a the Kathenins, a group of people commissioned to raise an army of engineered mercenaries with spliced DNA of races across the galaxy. Tyon eventually burned down the lab and raised his younger sisters, Sarra and Tarra, alongside the remaining Kathenins. While Tyon is engineered for combat, his DNA is not stable. Without a steady supply of telomerase, he risks dying as his sisters did. Barroes, as his remaining connections to the twins, is his entire world. Tyon has a perpetual five oclock shadow and a beloved ratty trenchcoat. Tyon is around 6'0, and used to have a face claim of Gerard Butler, though I'm honestly not sure what he looks like beyond the eyes and scruff now.

Sarra Mercanto (deceased)- A peerless assassin sent to dispatch the king of Garthia. She might have fucked him instead. Mother to Barroes and Sari (deceased).

Tarra Mercanto (wereabouts unknown, presumed dead)- the headstrong twin to Sarra, who also realized a life of luxury might be for her, and that hey, that king dude's best friend is kinda hot. Mother to Thrice and Tandeku. Unsure if she perishes due to the same condition as Barroes's sister and mother, or if she just fucks off to do more assassin shit. Thrice Casovetti- 19, Son of Thundriao, cousin of Barroes, best friend to Roux- Thrice is a cold, calculating prodigy who is next in line to lead the Garthian millitary alongside Roux. He is a good foil to the Relin overindulgence in emotion, and prefers logic over feelings. Thrice is exceedingly pale and has silver hair, though he also has the same ice-blue Kathenin eyes as Tyon. Thundriao is a devoted, indulgent father to him. TT and Jay would like nothing more than Thrice to die for the trouble he causes later.

High King Boldgrend Relin (deceased)- Roux and Barroes's father, the Golden King of the Relin empire. Much beloved by his people, plagued by loss and the weight of carrying the crown. Boldgrend is a dualistic king that can be incredibly compassionate in one breath, and a ferocious berserker in the next. Boldgrend has a jagged scar that his father gave him as a boy that runs from the corner of his right eye to his jawline. Boldgrend dies mysteriously when Roux is 16 and Barroes is 25.

Vanessa Carranza- 15 at the start of inhumane. The daughter of Sergeant Carranza, Vanessa sneaks onto the human area 51 base with the help of James Borelli to study its acquisitions. She forms a friendship with Roux that leads to his survival, and later that of the human race. Vanessa is fascinated by science, biology, and later xenobiology. She is a confident Latina girl who is unintimidated by Roux's early posturing.

James Borelli- 51 at the start of Inhumane. A linguist in the employ of EIS (Earth's Intergalctic Studies) program who begins working with Roux to teach him English when he first crash lands. Eventually, James is exposed to the abominations occuring behind the scenes and vows to help Roux and the others escape. I have not decided James's (human) race yet, but he may be a black man with grey hair and a beard.

Meytallia- 19 at the start of Inhumane. A young woman from the Ikies race, a population of bird-like, peaceful creatures. Meytallia has been in possession of the EIS for at least a few years and has lost her wings to vivisection. She is determined to escape and enlists Roux's help and leadership, though she is first repulsed by the stereotypes around his race.

Sergeant Karth Reminscar- Mid-30s, looks older. Thundriao's adopted ward and second in command of the imperial army. In a relationship with Thundriao's younger brother, Curiao, and one of Thrice's mentors. Karth is a bit nerotic but his heart is in the right place.

Riazza Binn- my Garthian alter ego, hah! A passionate sergeant within the imperial army who often bites off more than she can chew.

Rocco- ?????? 5 years old. The Fallen: Consisting of Sarai Reddash (Aengel Ice), Barroes's former lover and child of Kathenin solider Quent Reddash, Sine Ingal (Herald Fear), a son of Eros who swallowed a sphere that gives him incredible powers, Freya Tamporo (Aengel Fury), and the white-haired, purple poison master Aengel Malice, whose name I have presently forgotten. Overthrew Barroes as herald after working together as teens, drugged Greed to do so.

Hope this gives you a taste of just a few of the cast kicking around in my head! Thanks for opening the door.

My new whiteboard calendar (you can get these bitches shockingly cheap, I only paid like $15 which is like half of what I expected to pay even if it's still a lot for me right now) arrived and I'm trying to decide where in my room to hang it for optimal use.

I saw this really cool idea of using color coded dots to mark self care tasks on a white board calendar in order to track how often they're actually happening, which would be super helpful for me since I am uhhhhhhhh very bad at the concept of the passage of time and frequently can't remember how long it's been since I (for example) ate. Or showered. Or did my physio exercises. Or saw the sun.

So it seems helpful to track these things without having to exert a lot of in-the-moment effort. Just snag the right color marker and draw a lil dot on the day and move on.

I figure I can also use it for more involved tracking as I find it helpful, like marking certain health symptoms or allergen exposures or other stuff like that. But I want "lots of colorful dots on my calendar" to light up my brain like a christmas tree every time I see it, so I may not include anything that would "mix the signals" so to speak. I have a pack of 9 colors coming in soon, but for now I have 5 colors to work with. I figure if I come up with more than 9 tasks to track, I can do dual-colored dots for the extra ones, or maybe the same colors but in different shapes like stars or hearts.

So "what should my self care tasks be" is my next question. I'm thinking (non-exhaustively):

Took the dogs out

Ate a meal other than dinner

Refilled my water bottle

Did a round of physio exercises/yoga/pilates

Ran a training session with the dogs

Spent 15 minutes cleaning or tidying something

Took my medicine

Listened to music for at least 30min

Brushed my teeth

I figure I can pretty easily manage 9x3 tasks to document on this thing between circles, stars, and hearts to mark them. So I figure the circles should each be done at least once a day (bare minimum tasks needed for me to do well mentally/physically that day. I think hearts should be things that need to happen at least once a week, and stars should be "this is some absolutely extra shit that is GREAT when it happens but that's usually once in a blue moon". That way I know at a glance how many critical, maintenance, and progress oriented self care tasks have happened in a day/week/month.

So for hearts I'm thinking:

Took a bath

Took the dogs to the park

Refilled my med pack

Washed a load of laundry

Take out all trash bags and reline the bins

Took the dogs on a full circuit walk

Take out one bag of recycling

Closed out all of my notes for the workday

Charged my headphones

For the stars I'm thinking:

Deep cleaned one room of the house

Changed the bed linens

Date night with wifey

Got a massage/joint manipulation session from someone

Put away clean clothes

Deep Pressure therapy with headphones

Empty one doom box

Wash and organize dog toys

Public access training with Lil Lady

Even just looking at this list makes me feel overwhelmed by the idea of doing these tasks regularly which tells me I am not doing them anywhere near often enough, so this will be interesting.

The good news of course is that since it's a whiteboard I can change my list whenever I want lmao
