it’s so genuinely nice to see how much dream has grown in his way to approach controversial topics

#and he also put into words something that i was thinking of too #which is how in these cases there is a lot of focus on words more than actions #and i think that words are incredibly important and you should always consider that they always carry meaning #but i feel like with the ‘performatism’ of twitter educating threads it stops there #it’s like they wanna hear what they wanna hear so that they can clean their conscience for supporting a cc that used to hold harmful views #when the most important part should be to recognise someone’s actions (whether good or bad) #words are powerful but it’s not all there is. the best worded apology would mean nothing if the person made the same mistake the next day #just like a poor apology can sound more genuine if it’s supported by clear signs of growth #like there is nuance to this #it’s basically the reason why i’m still here despite disliking how dream has handled stuff before and even more recently #i genuinely do think that his actions and way to approach this kind of things has shown a positive change #anyway there’s a reason why i never posted about this and it’s cause i am bad at wording and make arguments so if this doesn’t make sense #just ignore it lol #ask to tag ig
