drabble list #12 w sungchan 😁😁
(you dont have to write the same plot its the hidden writer in me speaking but omg miscommunication trope angst to fluff where yn has an obvious crazy crush w sungchan like candace from phiness and ferb and everyone is like ooh youre crazy maybe stop sungchan wont like you or be like stacey and enable her behavior but gets jealous cause sungchan is being close w the next pretty girl in the neighborhood and have a breakdown cause hes [bye im gay so im used to writing mlm] insecure)
"No its okay you could continue hanging out with Winter (my bias sorry to my sister for using her name)" Yn sighs before saying under his breath "Silly me to assume you would care"
"Wait, Y/n" Sungchan shouted in disbelief "Who said I dont care about you?" Y/n just continued walking away until he felt two arms holding his waist tightly
"Y/n" Sungchan whispered centimeters away from his ear "When did I made you feel that I don't care about you?"
The miscommunication trope oh mannnnn such a good trope when done right so let's hope I do this justice! I'm always down to build on and collaborate with fellow fanfic writers any day!
12. "Silly of me to assume you would care"
[Choose a drabble and send me someone to write it on]
~
You never chalked yourself up to be the jealous kind. You'd been so nonchalant when past partners of yours would get close to others, but... no, nope, you're jealous now. You weren't exactly quiet about your crush on Sungchan, around him your lips were sealed shut but to everyone else? Insanity. It got to a point where your friends have basically divided into two factions, one telling you "for the love of god, ask him out!" and the other telling you "it's a bit much, (Y/N), do you really like him or do you like the idea of him?"
Obviously, you didn't know the answer.
It's just that you'd known Sungchan for so long. At one point, you made the mistake of calling him your best friend, and in that endeavor you drove that wedge between you both and you set yourself ten steps back because you didn't understand what love was. All those nights you'd stay at each other's house, those days you'd spend hours in each other's company, and those evenings where silence was just right between you both. And all of it came shattering down when she arrived.
The pretty girl from down the street, he called her. And, you had to admit, he was right. She was pretty. Too pretty. So pretty that Sungchan seemed to forget all about you when he said he'd be helping her adjust to the new neighborhood. And, sure, the first few days you didn't mind, that's just who he was, a kind person who wants to help out the new girl.
But, right now, every time she touched his arm and every time he'd laugh in her direction, for some reason, made your heart grow heavy. What was it that she said to you that one time you were together? It's nice that Sungchan has a friend like you? It almost made you laugh. You'd been pining for years, and Winter got his attention in seconds.
So, when you heard that laugh of hers again, you left. Quietly, of course, you didn't want to spoil the mood.
"(Y/N)!" You were already across the street when you heard Sungchan behind you. "Hey, come on, the party's still going!" He catches up to you easily.
"You go ahead and go back, I'm tired," you were on your front porch already when he stopped.
"You sure? I could stay with you," Sungchan offers. You look at him, then you shake your head.
"No, it's okay, you could continue hanging out with Winter," you sighed before saying under your breath, "silly me to assume you would care." You walked into your house now, but before you could shut the door, Sungchan walked in.
"Wait, (Y/N)!" Sungchan shouted in disbelief, "who said I don't care about you?" You just continued walking away until you felt two arms holding your waist tightly.
"(Y/N)," Sungchan whispered centimeters away from your ear, "when did I make you feel that I don't care about you?" You turned in his hold.
"Let go, Sung, I don't want to deal with this right now," you pushed away, and Sungchan closed the door behind him.
"(Y/N), let's talk about it, you've been off for a while now, and I'm worried about you, I care about you, you're the closest person to me!" Sungchan says.
"I... no, it's stupid," you shook your head.
"Don't say that! Everything you say matters to me!" Sungchan insists. "(Y/N), we've known each other this long, you really think I can't tell when you're upset? What's wrong?" He asks. You stood in silence. "I can't fix it, if I don't know what there is to fix."
"There's nothing to fix!" You shouted, your hands balling up into fists. You hit them lightly against the table. "It's fine, it's nothing."
"It doesn't sound like 'nothing,' (Y/N)," Sungchan takes a step toward you.
"It's fine! Just go to Winter already, she's waiting for you," you pointed toward the door and Sungchan's shoulders slumped.
"Winter... oh god, thank god, it's just Winter," he rests his hands on his knees and lets out a sigh of relief. And you felt your blood burn.
"What do you mean 'it's just Winter'?!" You shout.
"(Y/N)! Winter's a lesbian!" He shouts. You blinked, and he blinked too. And your hand rose to cover your mouth. You'd been jealous... of a lesbian. "She has a girlfriend!"
"Oh... my god... she's a lesbian," you shifted your weight onto one leg. "Now I feel stupid."
"Don't say that, (Y/N), you couldn't have known," Sungchan shakes his head. "Now, come on, let's head back, they're waiting for us," he opens his arms up and you sighed, walking into them just like you'd always had and holding him close. "Also... I know you have a crush on me."
"What?! Who told you?" Your voice fell into a whisper.
"Well, (Y/N), you're not exactly quiet about it," he says, "I was just waiting for you to tell me first, but... well, now seemed like a good time," he chuckles. "How about it then?"
"Why don't we ditch the party and go to lunch instead?"
"I can do that too," Sungchan grins. "But, let's agree to talk about things from now on instead of holding it inside, okay?"
"Okay!"

Amanda
Summary: Ferb meets his first niece.
...
“Ferb,” Phineas breathed, “she’s so tiny.”  Ferb couldn’t think of much to do except nod in agreement.
Their niece lay squirming and crying on the padded table in front of them, and Ferb would admit he was struggling to not reach out and scoop her up, even though they weren’t supposed to do that yet.
Instead, he pulled out his phone, snapped a bunch of pictures, and then sent them all to the group chat with their friends.
Isabella responded immediately, an “OMG!!!!!” with a whole bunch of different colored hearts and squee-ing emojis.  Buford sent a response a second later, a short “I approve of this small human,” along with a thumbs up.  Baljeet asked to know her size and weight and whether or not she was in the healthy percentile.
Ferb sent a quick response to Baljeet, then put his phone away and turned back to face Amanda again.  Phineas at this point had reached out and was running his hand over her fingers.
“She’s so small,” Phineas whispered.
Ferb smiled a little, slightly amused that Phineas of all people had been rendered nearly speechless, but also totally understanding.  She was, in fact, very small.
“Ferb,” Phineas said suddenly, turning to him.  “We have uncle responsibilities now, we have to take this very seriously.  We have to tell her all of Candace’s embarrassing childhood stories and let her get away with way more than Candace and Jeremy do so she thinks we’re cool.”
Ferb snorted, grinning at him.  “Somehow I don’t think Candace or Jeremy would appreciate that very much.”
“But those are our uncle responsibilities, Ferb,” Phineas said, getting a mischievous gleam in his eye.  “They can’t be mad at us if we’re being responsible.”
Ferb laughed again, shaking his head.
“Also we have to teach her all of the best ways to build stuff.  We should start with wiring, cause that could be bad if you mess it up, but we can leave the framework stuff up to her.  I’d actually love to see what she comes up with before she learns how it’s all ‘supposed’ to be done.”
“I don’t know if she’ll be super interested in building things for a couple years, Phineas,” Ferb said with a pointed smile.  “She might never be, actually.  Xavier and Fred were the ones who seemed more interested when we visited the future, and they won’t be around for a bit.”
“Well that’s true, but that doesn’t mean it’s fair to only teach them,” Phineas said, looking back at Ferb.  “Amanda doesn’t have to be interested, but I’m not going to not give her the opportunity just cause that’s what I expect from secret future knowledge.  I’m not going to treat Candace’s children any differently from each other, thank you very much.”
He prefaced this with a firm nod, and Ferb had to admit he had a fair point there.  He didn’t want Amanda to think any opportunities weren’t available to her.  They could offer the same things to each kid and let them tell them what they preferred, or let them ask for something else.
“How much have you thought about this?” Ferb asked with a curious look at Phineas.
“I’ve been thinking about this since we met them in the future, Ferb,” Phineas said, like that should be obvious.  “We’re uncles now, we have to take this very seriously.”
Ferb smiled at him in part amusement, part fondness.  Phineas certainly wouldn’t have to worry about that, he was clearly very serious about this.
Ferb turned and smiled back down at Amanda, who at this point had mostly stopped crying and was instead making small noises and shifting around, looking very unhappy with her situation.
Both of them stood there for another minute just looking at their niece, who continued to squirm and fuss.
“She’s so small,” Phineas whispered again, and Ferb smiled over at him.
A knock came on the door the next second, and both of them turned to see their dad poking his head in.
“Candace is awake, boys, if you’d like to see her,” he said.
“Oh heck yeah!” Phineas called, turning around with a grin.
“Is she doing alright?” Ferb asked.
Dad laughed a little bit.  “As well as she can be, considering,” he said, and they all headed out and down the hall as the nurses headed back in the room with Amanda.
Candace’s room was just down the hall, and she was in fact sitting up in bed when they all walked in there, Jeremy sitting at one of her sides and Mum at the other, and Perry curled up on Candace’s lap, looking up at her as if he was watching for anything she’d need him for.  For an animal that didn’t do much, he really could be very sweet.
“Next time,” Candace was saying to Jeremy as they all walked in, “you’re having the baby.”
Jeremy chuckled and leaned in to press a kiss to Candace’s forehead.  “I’ll see what I can do.”
“Candace!” Phineas called, rushing over towards the bed and ending up next to Jeremy.  “Do you know how tiny Amanda is?”
“I do,” Candace said weakly, leaning her head back on the pillow.  “And I’m gonna need you to take it down to about Ferb’s level, Phineas.”
“Whoops, sorry,” Phineas said with a sheepish smile, lowering his voice.  “She’s just so little, and I already love her so much.”
“I do too,” Candace said with a soft smile.
Ferb walked up along with their father and joined Phineas on the other side of the bed, as Dad headed over next to Mum.
He gave Candace a gentle smile that she returned, reaching out and ruffling Ferb’s hair before smiling at him and Phineas both.  “I’m glad you guys are here,” she said.
“Me too,” Phineas said, and Ferb nodded in agreement.  “How are you feeling?”
“Exhausted, hungry, like I just had a baby,” Candace said, looking up at the ceiling.
Their mum laughed from the other side of the bed.  “Welcome to the wonderful world of motherhood,” she said.
Candace gave her a small smirk.  “Thanks.  It gets easier from here, right?” she asked, and Mum and Dad both laughed.
Jeremy leaned in and kissed Candace on the forehead again, murmuring something that Ferb was pretty sure was some kind of expression of pride.  The two of them took a minute to smile at each other, and then Candace turned back to face everyone.
“Okay, I need another nap,” she said.  “Everybody out.  Not you,” she amended at the last second, grabbing Jeremy’s arm.  “Get up here in this bed and cuddle with me.”
“Demanding, aren’t you?” Jeremy asked, raising an amused eyebrow.
“I already told you, you’re having the baby next time.  You can get special treatment then.”
Jeremy laughed a little again, then climbed into the bed next to Candace, moving Perry gently so he could continue laying on top of her while they both laid down.
Their Mum leaned over and gave Candace a kiss on the top of her head, smiling down at her for a second, and Dad did the same a second later before the two of them headed out.
Phineas turned back to Candace one last time, leaning in and giving her (and Jeremy too, mostly due to proximity) a quick gentle hug, while watching to be careful of Perry.
“Ferb and I are gonna be awesome uncles for her,” he said, grinning brightly at Candace.  “Just wait.”
Candace smiled at him, and then at Ferb too, looking fond.  “I don’t have to,” she said.
Ferb felt his chest swell with all of the joy this day had brought, and he moved forward to give Candace and Jeremy a hug of his own.
Candace hugged him back, then reached over and pulled Phineas back in, and all four of them sat there for a moment together.  After a second, Perry crawled up in between them all and perched himself on Candace’s shoulders, wrapping himself around her almost as if joining in on the hug himself.
“Okay,” Candace said finally, picking Perry up and handing him off to Phineas.  Ferb could hear the wetness in her voice as she gently pushed them all back.  “I wasn’t kidding about needing another nap.  Both of you out.”
“I’ll call you when she wakes up,” Jeremy said, giving them a nod as he wrapped his arm around Candace.
So with that, Ferb followed Phineas and Perry out the door, giving a wave behind as Candace was already curling into Jeremy to fall asleep.
Perry looked behind them as they did, not seeming to want to leave.
“Aw, I know bud,” Phineas said, holding Perry out slightly so he could talk to him.  “I want to stay there too.  But Candace needs her rest.  Hey, you haven’t met Amanda yet, have you?  I should ask the nurses if it’s safe to bring you into the room.”
Phineas headed off to do just that, and Ferb walked over to sit next to Mum and Dad, who were both sitting there holding each other’s hands, not saying much.  They gave him a smile as he approached, but didn’t say anything, which was alright with Ferb.  Sometimes there weren’t words to say, and right now, they could all just sit there and enjoy the feeling of having a new family member, and all the joys she would bring.

This is from Phineas and Ferb imagine SDRA 2 or DRA Boys being in a driving lesson with there S/O Dad who getting his license the scene is the Drusselstein Driving Test Waltz Song Scene where The Boys agree to go with S/O wanting to get on his good sides to be with S/O but have to survive the driving test with him as S/O watches
LMAO THIS WAS GREAT!
Here's the scene for the people who don't know:
youtube
Kinji Uehara:
"Do you hereby attest that you took this drivers test out of your own free will?"
He was a bit concerned when he heard the instructor say those words, and even a little worried when your father hesitated, but when the car got headbutted down a mountain by a goat, he was definitely startled
He didn't think he'd have to pray for something as small as this but dear lord was he wrong
He tried to keep himself from screaming as your dad nearly ran someone over, but when your father almost mowed down a bunch of pedestrians, he couldn't stop
He clutched his seatbelt and shut his eyes, mumbling prayers for the car to miraculously stop and both him and your father get out alive
His whole body trembled after every thump of the car hitting the ground, just to somehow fly upwards again and slam down
You said your own share of prayers beforehand, but you still kept a close eye to make sure your father hadn't gotten your boyfriend killed
It felt like hours of trembling and ignoring the screams of terror around him when Kinji felt the car come to a stop
"I don't think I did too bad." Your father said.
Kinji was too busy praising the lord for safety to answer
Teruya Otori:
"Do you hereby attest that you took this drivers test out of your own free will?"
"Err...wha?"
He is very confused to be asked such a question, but he nods anyway. What's the worst that could happen? This was your father!
He yelped when the goat headbutted the car down the mountain, and was a bit concerned when your father drank coffee and crossed his legs, braking and hitting the gas pedal at the same time as the car flew down the mountain.
His entire body was shaking as the car flipped upside down a few times
He flinched each time the car nearly fell into a lake, which happened way more times than it should
He tried to be stronger, knowing that you were watching him, but he got extremely worried when your dad almost ran over a kitten
After the initial shock and worry wore off, he didn't feel too bad! He talked a bit with your dad as he drove through the finish line.
"I don't think I did too bad."
Teruya smiled, "I think ya did great! Ya remind me of mah dad! I hope I can drive like you one day!"
Your dad is grateful, and happy that you have such a sweet boyfriend! He also offers to teach Teruya how to drive-
Haruhiko Kobashikawa:
"Do you hereby attest that you took this drivers test out of your own free will?"
"Oh, yeah. I do." His passengers always had to answer similar questions before getting on one of the carrier planes he flew, so he thought it was normal.
He cried out when the goat headbutted the car, and he'll never admit how tightly he clung to your father as the car flew down the mountain
He was screaming as your father drank coffee while carelessly shifting gears down the mountain
The anxious purple wouldn't come off his face for a few weeks-
He forgot to put on his seatbelt, and felt the consequences of his actions every time the car seemed to bounce down the hills as his head was whacked into the roof of the car (His height made it even worse)
He screamed for pedestrians to move out of the way and covered his face with his hands as your father nearly ran them over
He was still screaming as the car came to a stop at the labeled finish line
"I don't think I did too bad."
"...I...think you'd be a great pilot... a lot less things to hit..." (and somehow staying in the air at high speeds was somehow your speciality-) Haruhiko gave a small thumbs up. Your father smiled and welcomed him to the family.
Haru clung to you for the rest of the day, and would offer to give you a ride anytime you needed
Utsuro:
"Do you hereby attest that you took this drivers test out of your own free will?"
He raised an eyebrow at that before giving a small nod. Utsuro didn't have a good experience with families, but your father was important to you, and he wasn't the most social person, so he might as well go along for a ride with your dad to earn his blessing.
Plus, he has divine luck, so it's not like anything's gonna go wrong!
He's disturbed and clutching his seat the moment the car is shoved forward by a goat, and his knuckles turn white from gripping the sides of his seat as your father starts drinking coffee and crossing his legs while driving down the mountain
How he wishes that he had put on his seatbelt
His head hit the roof of the car a few times as the car seemed to hop across the lake. Whether that was because of his luck or your father's driving causing an absence of physics is something he'll never know
Akane is probably running after the car to save him at this point while you're just snacking on some popcorn
As the car speeds down the roads of a hillside village, Utsuro is begging for his luck to make the car stop
Instead, your father speeds up, flossing his teeth while pedestrians are crossing. He flinches just as everyone jumps out of the way.
Flinching...huh, he hadn't done that in a while.
He finally gets his seatbelt on as the car crashes from hill to hill, and falls onto a labeled finish line. Your father hits the breaks and Utsuro's face is smacked on the dashboard
"I don't think I did too bad."
Utsuro turned back at your father, ready to say how annoyed..no, pissed he was that-..
Huh...mad, scared... it's been a while since he felt such unexpected emotions
Not since he met you, and you taught him how to feel again
Maybe your father wasn't so bad after all
Yamato Kisaragi:
"Do you hereby attest that you took this drivers test out of your own free will?"
"Um...yes?"
As excited as Yamato was to bond with your dad, he was not expecting such a question. He assumed it probably was no big deal, but buckled his seatbelt just to make sure
As the car ran over countless road signs and flew upside down, he was never more grateful for any choice he ever made
His entire life flashed before his eyes as you just watched him from the sidelines
Well, at least Mikako can be the heir to the Kisaragi Foundation in his place-
After the car nearly ran over a kitten, and was being tailgated by a giant truck, Yamato grabbed whatever he could get his hands on to create some kind of braking device
After tearing off half the interior of the car, he succeeded, planting it onto his passenger side and slamming it as hard as he could
The car shuddered to a halt just as it crossed the finish line
"I don't think I did too bad."
"Y-Yeah...Just fine..." Yamato forced out. The second your father got out of the car and wasn't looking, Yamato ripped off his seatbelt and flopped onto the sweet ground. Oh how he took it for granted
"You alright, babe?"
He nodded, face still in the dirt.
Mitch Higa:
"Do you hereby attest that you took this drivers test out of your own free will?"
"Um...what?" He was confused at the instructor's words, but decided it was probably just a question from a worried fan. The instructor was a fan who couldn't believe that Mitsuhiro Higa was in a car that wasn't a limo, and was risking the slim chance of getting hurt to gain his S/o's father's favor like the hero he is.
Yeah, that's totally it.
His thoughts were shut down as soon as the goat headbutted the car into motion, causing Mitch and your father to fly down the hill
Mitch found himself screaming as the car flipped upside down a few times, and if Kiyoka hadn't pushed him on so many goddamn roller coasters, he probably would've thrown up
He reminds himself to get soccer tickets for each of the pedestrians that your father nearly hits, but eventually he doesn't think the stadium can fit that many people anymore
He continues screaming as the car nearly falls into the lake and a bunch of poor fishermen have to dive into the water as your father drives through the fishing deck
He was halfway through writing his will when the car came to a stop and the sense of impending doom was beginning to dim
"I don't think I did too bad." Your father said.
Mitch doesn't reply, closing his eyes in relief, and letting his face hit the dashboard
Tsurugi Kinjo:
"Do you hereby attest that you took this drivers test out of your own free will?"
He was a bit cautious after being asked such a question, when he was already in the passenger seat nonetheless, but he calmed himself down
This was your father. He had to make a good impression, and surely your father wasn't too bad of a driver right?
...right?
He was already preparing to write your dad a ticket as he ran over a yield and stop sign
He was practically screaming for your father to pull over
He felt his grip tighten on the side handle of the car after every turn
He had no idea how your father remained calm during this, while he was practically losing his voice
"MR L/N! SLOW DOWN! PULL OVER! YOURE GOING OVER THE SPEED LIMIT! WATCH THE TURN...! Kouhei is that you??"
He motions for a bunch of pedestrians to move and silently apologizes to the cops that are trying to control the traffic
He was already wearing a seatbelt, but still jolts every time the car seems to leap. He was practically numb by the time your father reached the finish line.
"I don't think I did too bad." Your father says,
"...Please stay off the roads.." Tsurugi says, his mind and hand exhausted from both the experience and writing dozens of tickets in the span of a few minutes.
Dra Yuki Maeda:
"Do you hereby attest that you took this drivers test out of your own free will?"
He was hesitant after hearing those words, but eventually nodded. He had no idea how much he would regret those words. He yelped when the goat lurched the car forward and suddenly realized he forgot to put on his seatbelt
His head hit the roof of the car a few times as the car continued down the mountain
He couldn’t keep himself from screaming, frantically putting on and adjusting his seatbelt
Yuki tries to politely yell at your dad to not run over pedestrians and road signs and to not drink coffee while driving
Your dad didn’t listen, and Yuki continued to fear for his life
His life flashed before his eyes at least once
He covered his eyes as the car nearly pummeled into the lake, and cried out after every time the car seemed to bounce down the hill
His voice was straining and he was still shaking as the car came to a stop
"I don't think I did too bad."
“Y-Yeah..” He threw himself out of the car the moment the door unlocked and politely insisted on walking himself home. He would not be able to get in a car again for a while…
Kakeru Yamaguchi:
"Do you hereby attest that you took this drivers test out of your own free will?"  “Wh-What…?” He’s a lawyer so he knows that instructors are not obligated to ask that question unless-
The goat headbutting the car down the mountain cuts off his thoughts
Kakeru can barely fit in the car so he can feel every bump and damage as the car basically tumbles down the hill
When he sees your dad running over road signs and half the pedestrians in a nearby neighborhood, he tries to tell your dad about road laws, but his words are a mix of shyness and being scared for his life
He screams and flails are the car almost drops into the lake, and is meekly apologizing to everyone unlucky enough to cross path with your dad driving
He’s still yelling and starting to cry as your father reaches the finish line
"I don't think I did too bad." Kakeru doesn’t answer, clinging to you as you comfort him through a near panic attack. If your father gets a lawsuit for his driving skills, Kakeru is not sure he’ll be able to defend him…

Phineas Flynn’s Panic Attack(Story)
Mentions of: Panic Attacks,GAD(Generalized Anxiety Disorder) Su!d!3 Mentioned and Fainting,Homophobia
Characters used: Phineas Flynn, Jonathan Knight-Rodriguez(NKOTB), Marissa Kratt, Harley Rodriguez
Note from me: Ik this isn’t the regular content I post on here but this story is actually based off of the real events that happend to me and I’ve experienced before and so I wanted to have phineas that similar experience and you guys can understand with the story-BW Aka Trin
It was just a regular day at school phineas was just walking around talking to his friends and then Marissa Told Phineas about how people are bullying him for having Two Dads Harley and Jon in which Phineas doesn’t like homophobia and supports the LGBTQ+ community in which phineas said to Marissa that the people who make fun of his 2 dads are jealous and so him and his friends walked into class for the pop quiz that phineas has been studying for 5 Days Now until then the pressure of how the people who made fun of his two dads online got into his head phineas started sweating and asked Mrs.Jenkins to go use the bathroom until then phineas sees Henry playing with the water and ferb writing some notes about how to kill Jordan Knight aka Phineas’ Uncle even tho that won’t even happen, Phineas went to the sink told Henry and ferb hi and all three of the boys started talking Henry said “Also there’s plans that my uncle Paul is gonna give the kotnb aka us OUR OWN BURGER!” “Awesome” Ferb Says Happy “uh-yeah th-that’s cool” phineas says while shaking in which his anxiety starts to happen “uhh phineas are you okay?” Henry asked in his concernd voice until then phineas started to faint he was already pale and Henry and ferb started to yell phineas’ name to wake him up and Henry told ferb to get Nurse Biffany(Buford’s mom BTW) and so biffany called phineas’ Dads to come to the school to take him home and on the way to the farm that Harley and Jon own Jon Asked Phineas a question “Phineas are you having like anxiety attacks or anything?” “W-what n-no dad I-I’m not I’m fine” phineas says with a fake smile “Well incase if it happens just come talk to either me or your dad” Harley said to phineas “A-Alright Bubba” phineas said
Few minutes later
Marissa(who lives with Jon,Harley and phineas so that phineas can have some company) came home from school in which she knew about what happend to phineas and checked up on phineas in his room making sure he was okay
Until dinner
Jon said phineas’ Name 12 times but phineas didn’t answer “maybe he’s asleep babe” Harley told Jon “yknow I’m gonna check on him” jon told harley and so jon walked into phineas room and saw phineas crying and asked him “Son what’s wrong?” Until then jon saw the writing that phineas wrote on the wall saying “You Have Gay Dads That’s Weird” “Hey Look Red Hair Has Gay Dads and One of them is a new kid HAHAHA” “dude get a mom not another dad” in which that made jon upset for a bit until he saw phineas scars on his arm and phineas was crying saying “I don’t wanna Live in this world anymore” until that’s when Jon Stopped him phineas dropped the knife and his dad hugged him and said “Don’t Leave me Son” until then Harley and Marissa Came upstairs to see phineas crying on Jon’s chest and Jon was comforting his son that he recently gotten to known and Harley plus Marissa joined too to help but they both realized that Jon and Phineas needed Father and son time
Aftermath
Jon grabbed some rubbing alcohol to put it on phineas’ arm that he cut from a knife and wrapped it up in a bandage and phineas explained his dad and bubba about what’s been going on and Marissa apologized to phineas about telling him the bullying and homophobia towards his Dad and Bubba, and That’s when They heard a knock on the door and Jon opened the door to see Henry,Donnie,Sunny,Joey,Trin,Danny and Ferb putting Jordan into a headlock for a about a minute until ferb stopped and let go “We heard what happend Jon” Jordan said and so everyone walked in and phineas walked down stairs to see his friends and uncle here “phineas we are here for you” sunny said “Yeah well except for Baby Donnie” Henry said in which Everyone laughed including Donnie cause that was his nickname that his mom gave him(RIP alma btw)
Next day:
When phineas went back to school the same people who made fun of his dads said homophobic slurs towards phineas and phineas actually told them “You need to calm down and Shade never Made Anybody Less Gay”(Taylor swift reference)
Reminder from Henry:
Don’t make fun of your friends or family well you can make fun of my uncle mark hehehe no don’t really do that but incase if you are having anxiety problems talk to an adult or your school counselor or maybe listen to some of rayes(aka Taylor swift’s) Songs and look up some quotes from Donnie wahlberg aka my foster dad now if you excuse me I gotta Stop ferb from killing Jordan

More Light Than Heat, Chapter 21
No, I Won’t Have to Say Anything

Everything was fine.
Candace was on her honeymoon.  His parents had gone on their own romantic getaway.  And Isabella was…
Isabella was leaving.  No, that wasn’t fair.  Isabella was going back to school, like she was always supposed to.  And really, it was his own fault that this was the first year he didn’t get to drive her, didn’t get those two hours of analyzing all their recent reads and pretending to fight over the radio until she plugged her phone into the AUX and blasted her current favorite Taylor Swift song on repeat.
She wasn’t gone yet - her car was still in the driveway.
He turned a page of the newspaper.
Everything was fine.
If you’d asked him, two months ago, how he would feel if he found out his brother and Isabella were actually best as friends - that Isabella, in fact, didn’t want anything else - he wouldn’t have been able to answer the question.  Which meant that Past Ferb and Present Ferb actually had a lot in common.
Hey Ferb.
He clenched the newsprint in his fist.  Shuffled in his seat.
Ferb?
Relieved, he might have guessed.  Relieved, he could have lived with, would have made sense to him.
Was he…was he sad about this?
One thing for sure: he was fucking confused.
“Bro!”
Shaking himself out of his head, he loosened his grip on the paper and lowered it into his lap.  He smiled apologetically at Phineas.
“You okay, dude?”
He shook his head and blinked a couple times to reset, then gave his brother an affirmative smile.  Unconvinced, Phineas glanced past him, through the open window.  There was a split second when Ferb followed his gaze, when he winced, and then he thanked all the Powers that Be that Phineas had never been as good at reading Ferb as Ferb was at reading Phineas.
“How long have you been in love with Isabella?”
There was indignation in the inevitability.  Of course his brother was going to see it sooner or later.  Why did it have to be now ?  He gripped the paper so tightly that he ripped it and cleared his throat.
“Why would you even-”
“Oh my god, you are .”
Phineas was math-smart, science-smart, average in the social sciences and abysmal at people-reading.  He asked Ferb a lot of questions because Ferb was the man with answers - or he was, once upon a time.
Today was not his best day.  Nothing made sense.
“Why would you ask if you didn’t think-”
“Candace got me thinking about it, and I thought maybe you liked her, because you might not tell me about a new crush but you would’ve told me you were in love but oh my god .  Why didn’t you-”
“Phineas,” he tried, voice low and even as he tried to coax his brother’s roller coaster of thought to a halt.
“Of course you didn’t tell me!”  Phineas smacked his palm against his forehead.  “If you’d said anything, I never would’ve dated her, and–”  Phineas paused.  When he started up again, his voice was quieter, slower, less shrill.  “Oh, Ferb.  You just want her to be happy.”
The silence following this epiphany was somehow worse than the word vomit.
“Ferb,” Phineas said, finally, his voice just this side of pleading.  “You deserve to get what you want too.”
Ferb shook his head.
“Obviously what she wants is important.  But now you know: she doesn’t want me!”
“But that doesn’t automatically mean she wants me! ”
He hadn’t known that was what was bothering him until the words burst from his larynx, but now it made perfect sense.  How many times had he coveted Isabella’s attention, her affection, only to remind himself that no.  She wanted Phineas.  And he couldn’t even blame her for it - his brother was his favorite person too.  It was almost a consolation - she didn’t want him simply because he wasn’t Phineas.
But no.  She didn’t want Phineas either.  He just fell short on his own merit.
“Ferb.”  His brother’s tone caught like a hook, pulling him out of his own head.  “I think you’re doing it again.”
He raised an eyebrow.
“You’re assuming what she wants.  Without asking.”
He blinked.
Her car was still in the driveway.
“You pushed for so long for her and I to get together…does she even realize you’re an option?”
Her car was still in the driveway .
“And like…not to put too fine a point on the thing, but you had a hard enough time this summer when you thought she was dating me .  And if she and I were together…I’m just saying: if she dates someone else, someone who doesn’t get us, things will change.  We won’t lose her, but things would definitely be different .”
Her car…
“Are you really not even going to try ?”
Bloody hell .
He tossed the newspaper aside, catapulting himself from the armchair, just registering Phineas raising both arms in triumph.  He flew across the room, tore the front door open, and froze.
Isabella’s car was still in the driveway.  Isabella was on the step in front of him.
“Hi,” she giggled, breathlessly.  “Whatcha doin’?”
Once upon a time it had been her go-to opener.  Nowadays, she only asked when she felt awkward and wasn’t sure what to say next.
Things changed.
He opened his mouth to answer her but the spoken word, never his friend at the best of times, completely failed him.
Isabella, as ever, paused so he had the opportunity, only speaking when she saw the width of his eyes, the exact angle of his pursed lips, and knew he needed her to take the lead.
“I was just thinking…”  She met his eyes unabashed, but little things gave away her nervousness.  The way she twisted her foot as if grinding a cigarette into the pavement.  The way she held her hands behind her back so she could fidget without anyone seeing it.  The way she paused, just a second, and bit her lip before continuing.  “I spent all summer pretending to want something I didn’t, but if I leave now, I may well spend the rest of my life pretending not to want something I do.  And Ferb…maybe you don’t want the same thing and maybe I’m embarrassing myself, but that’s fine, because…because I’m not going to lose you, either way.  I trust you, and I trust our friendship, but it’s not the only thing I want and at least I’ll know , you know?”
Ferb did not know.  This was a very frustrating day.
Time slowed down around him as the pieces started to come together.  If she was saying what he thought she was saying…
In slow motion, he watched her hands appear from behind her, balled into fists, watched her lean forward on her tiptoes, and then he didn’t have to wonder what she was saying because she kissed him about it.
And Ferb, world-famous Man of Action, couldn’t bring himself to move.
It lasted forever and was over in a blink.  She pulled back and stared, wide-eyed, searching his face.
Ferb stared back.
“I’m sorry,” she said finally, stepping carefully back down the front step.  He watched her cross the street, watched her going into her house.
“Uh…Ferb?”
He blinked, the world coming back into focus as time flew forward, finally catching up with him.
“You didn’t make it very far.”
“She…” he stammered.  “She was here.”
“And?”
“She kissed me.”
“Yes! ”
Except…no.  Not yes.  Because when it mattered most, he froze.
She came outside then, backpack slung over her shoulder, pointedly not looking in his direction as she slid into her driver’s seat.
Fuck .
Ferb finally, finally moved.
The engine was rumbling to a start as he slid to a stop next to her window.  It was such a short sprint, and yet, he was gasping for air as she rolled her window down.
“No, you’re right.”  Her eyes were red and - how had he fucked up this badly?  “I shouldn’t have just- I should have asked.  I’m-”
“Ask.”
Her frown shifted, from sad to confused, as she tapped the gear shift absent-mindedly.
“You were right, Isabella,” he said finally, and didn’t her name in his mouth just taste like sugar and summer and her lips on his.  “I didn’t listen when you told me what you wanted, but you never asked me either.  So ask .”
He was reminded briefly of Buford earlier that summer, of the watery smile that surfaced when he reminded her that he wouldn’t pick on her for no reason, when he reminded her of who she was and what she was capable of.  A ghost of that smile graced her features now.
“What do you want Ferb?” she asked, the tone of someone who already knew the answer.
“You,” he breathed, just in case.  He cradled her cheek in his hand and leaned forward.  “Always you.”
And he pressed his lips firmly against hers.
His brain shut off again, but this time, he listened to the rest of him.  Metal pressed into his chest, and he stepped back.  She pulled away, and he reached around the car door to grip her wrist and tug her past it.  She pressed against the nape of his neck and he went with her, wrapping his arms around her waist, folding her into his chest, and tasting her lips again.
When his brain started working again, he wouldn’t have been surprised if part of him felt wrong, still convinced he was betraying his brother, but it didn’t.  She was exactly where she belonged.
“Are you shitting me?”
It was the absolute last thing he had expected her to say as they broke apart, and he laughed.  “What’s wrong, love?”
“I wasted this whole summer pretending to date your brother when we could have been doing that ?”
He chuckled, low and gruff, as he rested his forehead against hers.  “We have the rest of our lives to make up for it.”
“I have to go to school,” she whined.  “It’ll be a month before-”
“When’s your next day off?”
“What?”
He inhaled the scent of her, letting his eyes flutter closed briefly.  “Which day do you have less than a million things to do?”
“Thursday,” she answered.  “But-”
“I’ll come see you.”
“Ferb-”
“We’ll make this work,” he promised.
She pulled away so she could look into his eyes but her hands stayed where they were.
She sighed, leaning against his shirt.  “Okay.”  She opened the car door behind her without looking at it and pressed another brief kiss to his lips.  “I’ll see you Thursday.”
Another kiss, this time through the open window.  “Thursday,” he echoed.
He let her drive away - as if he could have done anything else but wait until she was truly gone - before he recrossed the street and let himself back into his house.  Phineas had taken up his spot on the armchair, the newspaper dutifully opened in his lap even though it was obvious he hadn’t been reading it.
“So…got the girl?”
Ferb didn’t even care that his little brother must have been spying on him, didn’t point out that the newspaper was upside down.  He just grinned and nodded.  Phineas smiled back, but it didn’t last long.
“Umm…Ferb?”
He raised an eyebrow.
“How are we going to explain this one to Mom and Dad?”

❝ this is not a “friend” ship, it’s a space ship. so don’t invade mine. ❞ (Sean to Asher lol)
╰┈➤ STARTER PROMPTS : Phineas & Ferb : Star Wars ( May the Ferb be With You )
Asher stares for a moment before laughing lightly. Pulling away he cups his hands over his mouth and nose, shaking his head as he's giggling still. What the other had just said was, absolutely hilarious, honestly. The idea, that this little rabbit, who constantly tucked tail and ran away all the time, even thought, for a moment. That he would want to be 'friends'. He inhaled, calming down before suddenly shoving Sean so hard, the other would certainly have fallen to the ground.
Asher then crept over, almost circling the other "This isn't a friendship, or a space ship, this is my ship." Placing a hand on the others head, he pats it there for a moment "And I'm the commander, and can choose who is, or isn't allowed in it." Lightly pushing the others head from him then he laughed lightly again "You're so silly."

“BEING JAKE’S PARTNER AND TAKING CARE OF HIM WHEN HE’S SICK (BROOKLYN NINE-NINE)”
requester: anon // request here
“I have to go run some errands, but I’ll be back around one,” you said, giving Jake a smile as you surveyed the living room. “If you need anything, just call me, okay?”
“Okay,” Jake said, nodding. “Thank you. Really.” He settled back into the pillow at one end of the couch, pushing away the trashcan you had left next to the couch with his foot. “I’m already feeling a little better.”
“You better not throw up on that rug.”
“Seriously? When-- okay once something like that happened--”
“Just rest up,” you said, laughing and grabbing your keys.
“Wait, babe?” Jake asked. “Can you pass me the remote? Please?”
“Oh my God,” you said, already knowing what he was about to ask. “Don’t tell me you want a popsicle too.”
“Phineas and Ferb is for all ages,” Jake said as you tossed him the remote. “It makes me feel better. Come on, how could you not like it?”
“Uh-huh,” you said, shaking your head. “I’m telling Holt you stayed home to watch Phineas and Ferb.”
“As long as you also tell him how I spent the whole night barf--”
“Yup, okay, that’s enough details,” you said. “Just call me if you need anything. And I’ll get some soup or something.”

Painting it Better
https://archiveofourown.org/works/21764185 Candace scowled at the bottle of nail polish before wiping off the messy ball of gunk on her nail. It never went on right, but she had to wear it now because Jeremy liked it.
He hadn't so much told her that, but she knew. She'd heard him compliment that girl on her nails.
If only it would go on smooth and pretty and perfect. Then Jeremy would compliment her on her nails and realize how much he loved her and they'd get married and have... No, no, slow, Candace, you're getting ahead of yourself. They would do those things, but the nail polish was just a little part of what would make her dreams come true.
A knock at her door had her head popping up. It opened before she could say anything, revealing her brothers.
"Hey, Candace." Phineas didn't step into the room. "We built a giant sundae machine, to make up for the one we didn't build earlier this summer, anyway, it's got a non-dairy setting. Do you want some?"
She stared. Stupid polish. She'd been trying at this so long that she'd missed their entire building montage!
"Candace?"
"I don't want any," she bit out.
Phineas smiled, the tone obviously flying over his head. "Okay. We have plenty if you change your mind." He left.
It took her a moment to realize Ferb hadn't.
"What do you want?"
Ferb blinked before stepping into her bedroom. Without an invite, he walked over to her bed and sat down on the very edge. He held out a hand.
Like she was supposed to know what that meant. "What?"
Ferb wagged his fingers.
All she had was the bottle of polish. Candace lifted it up a little. "This?"
He nodded.
Her eyes narrowed. "I don't want some insane invention to paint my nails for me." It'd probably paint all her skin or something and turn her into a bright red monstrosity.
Shaking his head, Ferb motioned for the polish again.
She handed it over. Watching him prep the brush, she said, "If this turns out horrible..." She left the threat hanging. Partly because she wasn't sure what she'd do if it did. Bust him to Mom for painting her nails? That wouldn't help her case about not being crazy.
He took one of her hands. His movements were quick but precise and stable, leaving smooth streaks of red on her nails.
Of course he was great at this. She scowled again. They had to be perfect at everything.
He finished the first hand in the time it had taken her to paint one nail. When the other hand was done, he pointed at her toes.
Candace shrugged. "Sure, why not." After pulling off her shoes and socks, she put her feet up on the bed.
Ferb frowned at them.
"Now what?" She glanced between him and her feet. There was nothing wrong with them as far as she could see.
Closing the bottle, he set the polish aside. Then he was holding some sort of pocketknife that was suddenly just in his hand. He flipped out a nail file.
Seriously?
She rolled her eyes but otherwise didn't complain as he touched up her toenails before painting them.
They looked good. Glossy, smooth, professional. She couldn't help her smile. "You're really good at this."
Ferb shrugged. "You could be too. You only need more practice." He paused, eyeing the nail polish. "Do you have other colors?"
"Uh, yeah." She gestured to her dresser. There were a few sitting out from when she'd been trying to decide on a color.
He hopped off the bed, coming back a moment later. Taking her hand, he shoved a different bottle of polish into it before holding his own hand out to her.
Candace didn't get it.
He wiggled his fingers again, but not in the give me motion like before. "You need to practice."
"On... you?"
He nodded.
"You're sure about that?"
Another nod.
The polish was purple. "Are you sure you don't want clear or something?"
Ferb rolled his eyes.
"Okay, okay." She'd paint them but it was his funeral.
Turns out, it was easier for her to paint someone else's nails. It was still terrible but there weren't any globes to wipe off. And he didn't complain at how long it was taking.
She was on his second hand when there was a knock at the door. Looking up, she expected to see Phineas again.
"Candace, is everything alright? You didn't call-" Linda stopped, eyebrows raising at the scene she'd walked in on. Then she smiled. "I didn't realize I was interrupting. Keep doing what you're doing."
Exchanging a look with Ferb, Candace smiled a little. She hadn't busted her brothers, but the day hadn't been a complete waste.

Phineas and Isabella first meeting for the swap au!!!! and maybe Candace trying to balance the extra evil scientist chaos in her life for the evil scientist au?
Taking Care of Things
People would describe Phineas Flynn as a lot of things. A social butterfly, a crybaby, an inventor. They’d call him every name in the book, yet “flustered” never came to the mind of anyone who met him. Anyone but Isabella.
The first time they had met they, quite literally, ran into each other on the sidewalk.
“Dang it, sorry!” Isabella brushed off her overalls and lent a hand to the redhead cradling his scraped knee. “Oh gosh! We have bandaids at my house. It’s just two second away, c’mon!”
As they wobbled over to her house, hand in hand, Phineas couldn’t help but stare at the pretty girl who just helped him up. He liked holding her hand.
“What’s your name?”
“Isabella Garcia-Shapiro, resident Lil’ Spark!” She shot him a toothy grin. A few were missing.
It took him a second to realize she was waiting for him to give her his name. “Oh, I’m Phineas Flynn!”
“Nice to meet’cha, Phin!” She pointed to a nice terracotta house. “Welp, we’re here! Let’s get’cha fixed up.”
He heard barely anything after the nickname. He liked it when she said his name so happily. Her smile was so nice, so was her hair. He wanted to brush it. Wait, weren’t they here for something? He shook himself out of his daze.
“Hey, that’s my house across the street!”
“Dang, we’re next door neighbors? I can’t believe I haven’t seen you! Well, we did just move here. Anyway, this means we can hang out more, that’s awesome!”
Hanging out with her more! “Yeah, cool! Fantastic!” He didn’t like how he stumbled over his words and feet and he entered her house. It was big and smelled nice. She smelled nice.
“Wait here, Phin! I gotta go get’cha some bandaids!” He sat on her couch and looked around in awe as he waited. Cool… she’s so cool. I hope Ferb likes her as much as I do! The thought, for some reason, made his stomach twist. Why didn’t he want Ferb to like her as much? She was great! Still, he couldn’t shake the feeling that it wouldn’t be right.
The girl peeked her head back through the arched entrance. “I’m back! I need these a lot, so I’m pretty quick at findin’ em. Here, lemme put it on for you!”
For someone so loud, her hands were as gentle as clouds. Phineas could feel his skin warm wherever she brushed him. Far too soon, she was done.
“Yeah, I’m pretty experienced at this stuff,” she gloated. “Just come over if ya need any help!”
Phineas had never felt more hopeful. “Will do!”

The boy with the reindeer clothes and captain america mask part two
The next day you both awake tangled in each other’s arms, you smile and blush softly “morning calla” he nodded softly groggily saying “good morning y/n” You sigh softly and begin to untangle yourself from Calla but his grip is firm as he whined softly and you giggle saying “calla we need to get up and make some breakfast and we need to decide where we’re going today” He groans “But y/nnnnn wouldn’t it be better to just stay here on the couch forever” You roll your eyes fondly “Well maybe for you but I’m hungry so I suggest you let me go before I start eating you!” You giggle playfully nibbling his neck making him squeak and giggle as he scrunches his neck “Eek! Ahhallrihihgghhtt ahhalllrrihihggjhttt ihihill lehehett yoouu uhuhupp!” You smirk softly “Good! Lets go” He lets you up reluctantly and you both head to the kitchen and begin making a simple breakfast of French toast and sausage. Once breakfast is finished cooking you sit and begin trying to think of where to go for the day. “Well we could go shopping I’d love to buy you some things while you’re here” you shake your head at him “no no way you’re not buying me anything I can buy stuff for myself but I don’t really feel like shopping today maybe we could go to an amusement park or something” he rolls his eyes “You’re not leaving without me having at least bought you one thing! Hmm I think the fairs in town does that sound good?” Your eyes sparkle as you nod excitedly “That sounds great! I’m so down for that!” He smiles at your excitement “The fair it is then!”
So your trip to the fair started off with getting some snacks! You each got a corn dog, a lemon shake up and then ended it with sharing a funnel cake! After the snacks you went and played a balloon game where you won each of you some posters and then played another one where Callahan won your plushie! He wanted to try and win you one of the big ones but you said no and he saw how truly happy you were with the little Fuli from lion guard plushie and stopped trying to convince you to let him win you one of the biggest plushies… Next you went walking about trying to find a ride that sparked your guys interest and you finally settled on the cheesy but classic Ferris wheel… The line luckily wasn’t too long and the sun was just beginning to set so in theory normally you would be looking at the sunset right? Yes but in your case no you and Calla were just so entranced with the other, you were desperately staring at his face in fear you’d forget it and he was stuck staring at yours not worried he would forget it because you show your face often but he was just taking in every detail he could that the cameras never seemed to catch… The little mole on your nose he was sure you probably hated but he was sure he loved, the way your cheeks could change from pink to red so fast and how it was shades of pink and red that he had never seen before… The way your eyes sparkle in a way he’s never seen anyone’s eyes sparkle and how just when he thinks they can’t get any sparklier they do when you laugh and he doesn’t know but when he laughs they’re at their sparkliest….
After the Ferris wheel we get ready to head home but as we pass by the fish game y/n stops me tugging on my sleeve softly and looking at me with puppy eyes as they ask “Calla can we please win two fish? Just two! Just so they’re not lonely… I’ll come visit all the time to help take care of them and I’ll send you money to help with their food and cleaning supplies and I’ll buy their tank and all the little decorations and everything they need!” I sigh softly rolling my eyes fondly at them as I nod and sign “Okay we can try and win some fish” They clap excitedly as they lean up and leave a kiss on my cheek, my cheeks heat up and I smile softly as I give the person the money.. We each begin throwing the ping pong balls as if our life depends on it we miss so many times but finally half way through I make one in and at the very end when we only have but two balls left y/n makes one in as well! They cheer excitedly hugging me tightly and it’s like a warmth I’ve never felt before washes over me, and when they pull away? It’s like there’s a big dark hole of cold emptiness left there that I’ve never noticed until now… We collect our fish and head to the car once in the car y/n is immediately brainstorming names “What about phineas and ferb or Drake and Josh or if they’re girls Carly and Sam?!” I snicker softly at their suggestions shrugging “Phineas and ferb sound cool but what if ones a boy and ones a girl?” Their eyes light up as they say “Phineas and Isabella” I nod as we finally begin to actually leave “I like that it’s cute like you” They blush turning their face away from me mumbling “shut up I’m not cute” I scoff softly rolling my eyes as I quickly poke their side, they squeak and jump lightly glaring at me but with no real malice “Eek! Cahalla don’t!” I snicker again and sign “Well then admit you’re cute” They sigh softly “ Fine I’m cute… to you” I shrug softly “Good enough for me”
Soon enough we made it to Walmart figuring we could get some decent stuff for now and upgrade it later on down the line. As we got out of the car y/n glanced at my face and then at my hand and I could tell what they were thinking so I wordlessly grabbed their hand pulling it to my lips for a few seconds and then let it down gently but didn’t let go instead keeping them clasped together my thumb gently rubbing their palm making them giggle softly for a few moments before sighing contently… Once inside we quickly found the fish supplies settling on a decent sized rectangle shaped aquarium, we grab the most colorful pebbles we can find, we decided to also pick out some decorations settling on a few different sized plants along with a little fake log and finally a little bubble chest!
I make sure to grab a few snacks before me and Calla leave and soon enough we’ve made it home! I carry in the snacks and the prizes while Calla carries in the aquarium supplies… We quickly rinse the aquarium and the rocks and then begin trying to find the best place to set it, we finally settle on putting it in the living room setting it on a small table off to the side. “So how much water should we add?” He shrugs softly “I don’t know maybe a little over half way? I mean we do have a lid for it so it’s not like we have to worry about them jumping out” You nod “Yea that sounds good let’s do it!” You decided even though it would take much longer to fill up this way that it was better to leave the aquarium on the table and use cups of water to fill it up… Of course you can’t take it fully serious and decide when almost done filling it up to splash a bit of water on calla as you’re filling up your cup, he gasps in surprise as you giggle before gasping as he splashes a bit on you! He snickers hiding behind his hand and you dump a little under half a cup on him and he squeaks softly before narrowing his eyes and pouring a full cup on you. Both of you are now soaked but smiling brightly at each other and before you know it you’re leaning up and he’s leaning down and your lips have connected again for the second time… You kiss only a few seconds longer before you say “As much as I enjoy this I’m getting cold and we need to finish filling the aquarium” He whines softly but nods knowing you’re right.. You each fill up your cups that being the final cups needed, you add in the special water treatment as calla grabs Phineas and Isabella… He carefully opens their bags and placed them in, you each stand back and smile looking at them, he softly wraps an arm around your waist and side holding you close against his side as you rest your head on his chest…
You stand there together a few more minutes before breaking apart, you quickly to grab some pajamas and begin to take a quick shower… Soon after Calla takes a quick shower his own self and then you each agree and decide to see if your friends are free to finally talk on discord, luckily they are you decide to play a slight prank maybe it could be called on them… Calla let’s you take his main chair as he grabs a second smaller chair for himself, you hold back a giggle as you quickly click call… Soon enough all your friends begin joining they were all quick to say their hellos to calla though they were confused asking why Calla was calling when it was y/n who asked if they were busy or not… Dream and Niki are the only two who already realize what’s going on so they simply stay silent… But for the rest of the group, the group being, Sapnap,George,Alex and Bad, they were very shocked when they suddenly heard a voice and then finally Alex being the one with a little sense realized it was you!
“Y/N THE PERSON YOU MET UP WITH WAS CALLAHAN?! NO WAY!” You giggle and Callahan smiles happily holding your hand “yep! I finally did it!” George is quick to make jokes “So have you seen his face yet or are you still like the rest of us and have no idea what he looks like” Calla covers his mouth hiding his laugh and you quickly mute to allow him to let his laugh if he wishes and he does and his laugh makes you laugh and you can hear George begging for answers but you don’t care and neither does Calla! A few more moments though and you’ve each stopped laughing and are looking at each other and suddenly Calla closes the distance leaving a quick peck on your lips… Finally you unmute “Sorry uh I’m- I mean we’re back, and for your information George…” You pause looking to Calla for confirmation that it’s okay and he nods softly “I have and it’s truly very cute and both everything I expected and nothing I ever expected” Everyone either awwed softly or made exaggerated gagging sounds which made you and Calla blush and then giggle softly, Dream was next to speak “So how are you guys communicating?” You look to Calla and he shrugs softly nodding for you to go ahead..
“Well I of course just verbally talk but Calla does a mix of sign and verbal talking but mainly just sign” Everyone thinks and decides to not make any jokes as they don’t wanna risk upsetting Calla and instead Dream takes lead saying “That’s great, so what have you guys been up to?” You and Calla look at each other knowingly smiling a bit and he presses the quietest kiss he can to you cheek as you say “We went to the fair the other day and Calla won me and plushie and we each won a fish! Calla is gonna keep them though and just video call me so I can see them when I want” Karl gasps excitedly “What did you name them?!” Calla types in chat “Well I didn’t tell y/n but I was thinking of naming them dumb and dumber” You scoff and hit him softly before going to hit the mute button but he stops you and just covers his mouth as he laughs a bit… Theres a collective sound of gasps before sapnap says “NO WAY DID CALLAHAN JUST LAUGH?!” Calla rolls his eyes at their shock and excitement light heartedly and you shrug softly as you say “maybe it was maybe it wasn’t that’s for me and Callahan to know and you guys not to know” Alex whines softly “but y/nnnn we wanna know!” Bad is quick to agree “Yea! We wanna know!” Even Niki joins in on the joke “Yes! Stop gatekeeping Callahan from us!” You and Callahan both laugh and you say “Hey I could really gatekeep him by just ending the call right now to go-“ suddenly you cut yourself off blushing realizing while yea they know your main love language is physical touch they also know you’re crushing hardcore on Calla so they might catch on… And neither of you are ready for that! You’re quick to catch yourself though saying “To go take care of Phineas and Isabella” Luckily most everyone sounds distracted well enough by the names to not realize your near mistake and they just take it as a normal small stutter, George says “But how do you know ones a boy and ones a girl?” Alex says “Yea and how do you know which is which?!” You really don’t have an answer “Well we don’t and we can at least tell them apart because one has a white spot on its head, but yea we don’t know but they need names we can’t just call them fish one and fish two!” Dream snickers “Then just call them white head and not white head” He bursts into giggles and soon everyone else is giggling as well including you and Calla soon after though you yawn softly and despite your protests Calla types in chat saying “Guys I’m gonna go ahead and make y/n get some sleep we’ll try and call you all again soon okay?” Everyone starts saying a chorus of sad goodbyes and a mixture of well wishes and jokes…
Soon enough the call is finally over and you whine softly looking at Calla before giggling softly “Now they’re really gonna think I’m gatekeeping you” he laughs as he stands and holds his arms out to you as he says “so let them think what they want maybe I like you gatekeeping me…” he pauses as you walk towards him and then he swiftly picks you up bridal style “maybe I want you to gatekeep me all night…” Your eyes widen a bit before another yawn escapes and you blush “Let me get some pajamas first okay? Then I would love to gatekeep you all night” he smiles blushing brightly as he carries you to your room and gently sets you down before turning around and shutting your door waiting outside it for you.. You find some comfy shorts and t-shirt tossing it on and open the door lightly tapping Calla’s shoulder, and despite your insistence that you can walk he turns around and smiles picking you up once more and he carries you to the bathroom allowing you to do your business and you allow him to do his and then you each brush your teeth and despite you insisting again that you can walk he says “no I wanna carry you it’s nice I uh like having you in my arms…” You blush leaving a kiss on his cheek, soon after you’re back to his room and he sets you down and you each pull back the covers and climb in… Calla and you both get comfortable and then he nervously puts his arms around your back hands resting on your stomach and you smile snuggling closer to him and within minutes you’re each asleep..

Game, “Akazukin: Red Riding Hood.”
Everyone’s eyes are locked on the screen.
“Red Riding Hood has to run from the Big Bad Wolf while being protected by the Huntsman,” starts the robotic voice. “One person will be Red Riding Hood, while the others will be divided into two groups: the Big Bad Wolf and the Huntsman.”
“What the- “
“Clear conditions,” the voice continues, “Whoever manages to bring Red Riding Hood to the final checkpoint, wins. The time limit is thirty minutes. After thirty minutes, the losing group dies. If after thirty minutes no one is in possession of Red Riding Hood, both groups die. Is instant Game Over if Red Riding Hood dies or refuses to follow the rules.”
You were terrified of this tale as a child; you had nightmares of an actual wolf coming in the night and devouring you and your mom. Then you had grown up and realized how the tale could be interpreted as a warning to Omegas when it comes to Alphas and their manipulative nature. That hadn’t changed your opinion on the story.
The screen changes to white.
“Now for the groups,” says the voice once again, “Red Riding Hood- “
You gasp; it’s you. It’s a picture of you. You’re Red Riding Hood.
“Big Bad Wolf- “
Your eyes go wide again; Niragi and Chishiya.
“How unoriginal of them,” you hear Chishiya remark with a huff.
“The Huntsman-” and it shows the faces of everybody else in the game. There’s a pregnant pause where everyone just stares down at their phones as it dings.
“Rules,” reads the voice, “No outside weapons allowed. There are axes, as well as other useful weapons hidden throughout the area that are only to be used by the Huntsman. The Big Bad Wolf is not allowed to use any weapons besides the ones already in their possession.”
“What weapons?” you ask no one in specific as you look at Chishiya and Niragi.
They both raise their hands as Chishiya simply replies, “Claws.”
You make a surprised sound, “How are you supposed to protect yourselves like that!?”
They both look at you, and this time is Niragi that says, “I don’t know about this dog but I can do a lot with these.” You don’t fail to notice the threat in his voice as he looks down at Chishiya. The other man just huffs out a laugh.
“The game will commence in five minutes,” says the voice in a cheery tone, “Use that time wisely.”
A commotion erupts as everyone starts realizing what the game consists of. You can’t believe it yourself; you’re nothing more than a pawn in this game. Shouts of “We have to fight two Alphas to death?” and “We can do this, there’s a lot of us.” start all around you. Someone is crying. Some people just run into the dark. You ignore the loud voices around you and focus on your phone as it lights up.
If you stop running or hiding, it’s game over. If you show yourself to the Wolf, it’s game over. If you try to cheat in any way, game over.
A hand on your shoulder makes you jump. Niragi is looking at you with that expression you hate; betrayal and pain. But now there's also serious determination.
"No matter what you do, you can't stop running," he says. "This seems way too easy for a Ten of Spades, so watch your back."
"What about you?" you ask, eager to cover his hand with yours.
"Oh, so now you worry about me?" he retorts with a bite to his words. You can't help but flinch when his hand drops to his side and his expression changes to a mean smirk. "I'll live so I can kill that motherfucker and make you regret the moment you fucked him."
"Niragi I- "
"Save it," he turns your back to you. "I don't wanna hear it."
You see him walk away, approaching the two other militants that came with him. At least the imminent game made him pause his murder attempt. You take a glance at Chishiya, who is still focused on the screen. You wonder what is going through his head; if you know something about Chishiya is that he always catches details others don’t.
"You!" someone pushes you in the back, and you fall to your knees before you can balance yourself "Who the hell are you?”
Two different growls sound at the same time someone lunges themselves to whoever pushed you. You look up to see Chishiya in front of you in a protective stance. You take the hand he offers you and stand up to see Niragi, currently on the ground punching a man.
“Niragi stop!” you scream. He either ignores you or doesn’t hear you. No one else tries to stop it either; Chishiya simply because he doesn’t care, and everyone else out of fear. The man being beaten tries to fight back but is clearly at a disadvantage. You gasp when you see Niragi’s fingers take the shape of claws. You jump, grabbing his arm before he can slice the man right in the face. “Stop!”
Niragi looks back at you with yellow eyes, and you see as his hand takes a human form again. You pull him out of the crying and bleeding man on the ground. He doesn’t make any effort to stop you. His eyes are locked on you, still animal-like.
“You- you’re part of the game, aren’t you!?” coughs the man Niragi had punched. He sits down holding his nose, quickly dragging himself away from the other man. “You- you have to be!”
“E- Excuse me? you shakily ask in a confused tone.
“You’re not even a player, you’re just part of the game!” the man continues, “Are you gonna tell me that is a coincidence that this game is the way it is?! All you have to do is follow some rules! You live either way!”
You shake your head, “I- I am not sure what you’re implying, but I have nothing to do with this!" you reply. You confess that yes, you think it’s a big coincidence you got the role you got, but you’re not involved. You had no idea.
The man takes a step in your direction, but Niragi puts himself in the way.
“Watch it,” he says in a commanding tone. “Remember who you’re talking to.” The man holds his stare for a moment, before looking down and taking a step back. Niragi turns to the rest of the group. “Whatever you shitheads are thinking, she’s not involved in any of this. So, unless you wanna die before the game even begins, I advise you to shut up and focus on the game.” The corner of his lips pull up in a smirk, and you see the glint of fangs. “May the best wolf win.”
He then turns to you and your eyes lock. You want to talk to him, explain how and why things happened the way they happened. But you can’t say anything, not when he steps closer with a look in his eyes you can’t quite place.
“You’re wasting time, go!” Niragi orders as he pushes you forward. You stumble a little as you start walking into the dark park. You look back at him and Chishiya, and you nod to each other; they will be able to find you. You’ll be alright. They will be alright.
You bolt into the night. You can barely see anything in the dark, except for the shadows that the moonlight helps casting. You just know you have to run, or you’re dead; they’re dead. The conversation from moments ago keeps playing in your head; could it be possible that this game was made specifically for you? But how would they know that the three of you would be in the same game? It sounded so far fetched; but also...possible.
Hunting horns blast through the air, making you jump and cover your ears at the awful sound. You know what it means.
Game Start.
You start hearing rustling and footsteps behind you as the other players soon follow in your steps; if to catch you or find a weapon, that you don't know. You keep running until you’re out of breath, stopping for just a few seconds behind a large tree. Your legs are shaking and your lungs are burning. The area around you is silent though, and that gives you some peace of mind. You close your eyes and sniff the air. Nothing.
You’re about to start running again to look for an actual hiding place when a sound makes you freeze in your tracks.
A howl.
And not from a regular wolf. You recognize it instantly.
Never in your life had you heard a werewolf howl until now. After the war, an Alpha fully transforming very rarely happened. The ones that did only transformed in extreme situations, usually to protect a loved one. The regular individual would not transform not even once in his lifetime. And here you are, hearing two of them. It awakes something primitive in you, and every single hair on your body stands up in a shiver. You have an impulse to howl too, but control it at the last second; you’re not doing that. You’re not an animal, as much as the wolf inside you likes to prove you wrong.
You’re startled when a hand covers your mouth, something cold pressing against your neck. You try to move, but the blade nibs at your skin. So you stop, trying to control your breathing.
“Don’t you dare to make a sound.” whispers a male voice. “I’ll chop a finger for every sound you make.”
You give a trembling nod, letting yourself be dragged by the unknown man. He’s way taller and stronger than you, so you don’t even try to fight back. You notice he’s not alone. What seems to be two young girls walk behind you, whispering in agitated voices.
“Kai, are you sure the checkpoint is this way?” asks one of the girls in a low tone.
The man grabbing you, Kai, shushes her and stops. You can hear him sniff the air, probably looking for signs of an Alpha close by. He suddenly pushes you against a nearby tree and locks eyes with you. You’re surprised to see that Kai is not much older than a highschool boy.
“Mira, press this against her neck,” he whispers to one of the girls. She approaches you, trembling hands holding the small ax against your skin. The boy stabilizes her grip before nodding, “Don’t let her move or make a sound,” he says looking into the girl’s eyes. “If you do and those Alphas hear us, we all die.”
If you’re honest with yourself, you would stay quiet either way; the last thing you want is the blood of those kids in your hands. You watch as Kai takes a map from his pocket, opening it and analyzing it for a few moments.
“If this map can be trusted I’m pretty sure the checkpoint is this house right here,” he points at a place on the map and then ahead on the path, “About three kilometers that way. We can do this.” he checks his phone. “C’mon, we only have about twenty minutes.”
You have been walking for a short moment when the smell hits you.
One of them is close; Niragi, you’re pretty sure. The others smell him too, and you notice in the dark as their eyes widen in a panic and they start running, pulling you with them. You can hear him as he gets closer, like a monster in the night. You try to ignore the exhilarating feeling that goes through you at being chased by him; it’s just like the first time you met.
One of the girls trips and falls right behind you. You flinch at hearing her screaming get louder until it abruptly stops. The other two kids hesitate before Kai stops, pushing you and the other girl to keep running. The girl, Mira, grabs your hand as you both run, and you can hear her crying.
A far away whimper of pain makes you stop in your tracks; one of the Alphas was injured.
“We have to go, please!” begs Mira as she pulls your hand, “Please, we have to-”
Mira’s words are cut short when she falls and you’re pulled down with her. You gasp in pain as you hit the ground, arm stretched into whatever hole the girl fell into. You hear a scream, then silence, as you hear a sound you can’t quite place. It’s dark and you’re not sure of your surroundings, but you could swear that hole on the ground wasn’t there seconds ago.
You’re about to ask if she is okay when the metallic smell of blood hits your nostrils. You squint in the dark, trying to see something in the black hole. The moonlight appears out of nowhere, and you can finally see. You gag when you notice the contorted body of the girl, now impaled in wood spikes. Her eyes are wide, mouth open in a permanent scream.
There are traps.
There are traps everywhere and you can’t see them.
You drag yourself away from the hole, feeling a panic attack start to form as you struggle to get air inside your lungs. You try to shake the image of the dead girl from your mind, shakily rising to your feet. Your phone gives an alarming beep, and you take a look at the screen to realize you have been in the same place for too long. You have to keep moving.
You shake the tears from your eyes and walk by the hole without a second look.
A scream far behind you snaps you out of your stupor, and you immediately take off running again. You don’t want to think about what might be happening. Despite their numbers, you can’t imagine how Betas can ever win against two fully transformed Alphas.
You’re running through an open field now, surrounded by flowers that you can barely see. A noise to your left makes you look at the line of trees, but you can’t find the source of the sound.
You’re so distracted that you don’t notice the open trap right in front of you.
You scream as the dented iron snaps around your ankle, pain sparking up your leg. You fall to the ground like a bag of potatoes, and immediately try to open the trap up. But you’re not strong enough, and the iron teeth just dig deeper into your skin. You control a sob as the pain and panic grow; you have to keep moving. You have to hide. A sound, now closer, makes you stop whimpering, and you hold your breath as you see them.
No, not Niragi and Chishiya.
No, not the Huntsman either.
Wolves. Real, wild, one hundred percent animal wolves. A pack of them. No more than twenty meters from you.
You stay still, hoping that they won’t take an interest in you.
But no. Of course that’s not what happens.
You look around for something to defend yourself with, but you’re defenseless. Here you are, trapped, wounded, on the ground, and without any means of defending yourself. The wolves approach you slowly, like they know you have no means of escaping. They start surrounding you.
“Stay away!” you scream, shaking your arms in hope that the movement will scare them away. “Shoo!”
It does not.
One of the bigger wolves prepares himself to jump. You close your eyes with a sob, waiting for the moment they will tear you apart.
He’s here.
You feel the air shift as a big dark form covers you. You’re now completely involved in his scent; cinnamon and wood. You keep your eyes closed and brace yourself. The air is filled with the sound of growls and whimpers and teeth ripping flesh. Something warm and wet splatters on you and you know it’s blood. A loud whimper of pain, a strange mix between a wolf and a human, makes you snap your eyes open.
In the moonlight, he’s huge. Terrifying. Beautiful. Bodies of wolves are on the ground. The survivors try to fight the much bigger werewolf. His fur is black as a raven’s feathers, thick and glossy and matted with blood. You can’t look away until he’s done.
Niragi is clearly tired and injured. Saliva drips from his open jaws as he takes labored breaths. He turns to you, and you notice one of his paws is practically mangled, a shine of white bone contrasting with the black fur. A big oozing laceration runs down one of his flanks, and you’re not sure if it was done by an axe or a wolf.
You snap out of your freezing state and make a move to go to him. You scream when the trap still around your ankle makes itself known. He’s on you in less than a second, hovering over you as his snout touches your leg lightly. You can’t resist the temptation to touch him, grabbing the fur of his neck and pressing your face against him.
You feel him when he suddenly changes back into a human, and your face is now pressed on his bare skin. You notice he’s naked, pale skin now almost fully covered in blood and dirt. A cut you haven’t noticed in his wolf form now clearly shows on his forehead, making blood run down his face like a waterfall.
“Niragi-” is all you manage to say. You want to cry, ask him if he’ll be okay. You panic again when you notice how much time you have left; probably not more than ten minutes. Niragi says nothing as he focuses on opening the trap with a grunt. You let out a cry of relief as the thing leaves your ankle. The wound bleeds profusely, so you take off your top, tying a makeshift bandage around the injury with the help of Niragi.
He finally looks you in the eyes as he helps you to your feet, supporting you against him.
“Y/N we-”
That’s all he manages to say.
The next moments happen so fast you can barely process it.
An arrow comes flying out of nowhere, burying itself into Niragi’s chest. His eyes go wide as he looks at you, a surprised expression in his eyes. You watch him with an open mouth as his eyes turn to gold for a moment. Then he falls to the ground. Rough hands grab you and pull you. Someone is screaming; you realize later that it’s you. Other voices laugh and they sound...excited? Happy? You can’t understand why. You trash around in an effort to get free. Whoever grabbed you punches you right in the face. For a moment, all you see is black with sparks of white. You hear a faint, “We only have five minutes!”. No. Niragi and Chishiya have to find you. They promised. They can’t die. Then you’ll be alone again.
Someone screams again. Loud voices. People running all around you. You hit the ground with force enough to take the air out of your lungs. Someone tries to grab you again, but their grip disappears like they have been pulled away. Tears are streaming down your face, but you can’t open your eyes. You can’t stand up. You hear the familiar sound of a wolf growl.
Niragi?
No; peppermint and rain.
Then you feel something warm touching you. You feel soft fur under your skin. Then it’s like you’re flying. You grab onto whatever is moving under you out of instinct. You know you have to hold on tight. You try to focus, but it’s too much.
Then nothing. Darkness. You’re not sure if you lost consciousness or not. A loud sound, similar to a siren, is what makes you open your eyes. You’re on the ground, stone cold under you as you try to sit up, covering your eyes from the sudden bright lights.
A cheery tone comes from your pocket. You stare at the phone; Game clear.
You finally look around, and there he is.
A big white wolf.
Not as big as Niragi, but still impressive. His white fur is covered in blood; if his or someone else’s, you can’t say. Your vision turves as you try to stand up and lose your balance. He catches you before you can fall, teeth gently grabbing your jacket. You stare at him in confusion; what the hell just happened? A spark of pain makes you look down at your ankle. Memories come rushing back.
You gasp. No. It can’t be.
“Chishiya, where’s Niragi?” you ask in a trembling voice. His cold eyes stare at you for a moment too long. You’re about to make a move to find Niragi yourself when the white wolf changes right in front of you. Like Niragi, the man is naked and mostly covered in blood. There’s a cut on his arm, still bleeding. A wave of concern runs over you, and you feel yourself panic even more. He sighs before his eyes lock on you.
“He’s dead.”

Hitoshi Shinsou with a s/o like Tohru Honda from fruits basket 💕:
Requested by: @loev4eva
[Disclaimer, I have not seen fruits basket so this may not turn out very well haha. But I tried my best, loves<3]
Let's assume this takes place during the sports festival and you're in class 1-A bc yes
When all of those students crowd around the classroom door of 1-A Shinsou sees you, just vibing and probably just spacing out
And he's a bit confused as to why you were just spacing out so he's most likely gonna stare at you for a good couple of seconds
But as soon as you notice that he's staring at you you bet your ass he's looking away
And honestly, you think it's super cute
So you walk over to him, as one does in this situation
“Hey! Hi! Hello! My name is Y/N L/N!! What’s your name, Mr. Purple Man??” You ask excitedly, finding him to be pretty cute. He lets out the tiniest chuckle before shaking his head and looking down at you. “Hitoshi Shinsou,” He says in a quiet voice, causing you to grin widely. “That’s a great name, Shinsou!! Let’s be friends! You seem super cool!”
His eyes widen, not expecting you wanting to be his friend. “What do you want, shorty?” He asks, honestly thinking that you had some ulterior motives. This caused you to giggle and shake your head, the cutest and sweetest smile upon your face. “Nothing! I just wanna be friends, silly!”
And thus marks the beginning of a new friendship
But after a few months of being friends he came to a sudden realization
He had a crush on you
But being the man of few words (think of a purple Ferb but has a bit more dialog) he didn’t know how to confess to you
So, like anyone other person would, he consulted the help of his bestie, Denki
And after getting some advice from Denki he took you to his favorite cat cafe and asked you out there
And boom, the cutest relationship in existence has been born
But uh after a while of dating he wanted to really pamper you and give you the cutest promise ring along with a few other gifts for your guys’ anniversary
So one day, he took you out to his favorite field. It was a calm, peaceful, and sunny field filled with trees and flowers. It’s really the cutest place ever and the best place to take a nap
So once you two got there you saw a blue and white checkered blanket, a cute picnic basket filled with sandwiches and desserts, and a cute pitcher filled with pink lemonade
Flabbergasted by the scenery, you didn’t realized him gently pulling down into his lap until you landed with a soft oof
As he fed you some sweets you pull out a small whistle and snuggle into his chest as you two lay down before gently blowing the whistle, seemingly no sound coming out of it
He tilts his head, ready to say something before seeing a giant ass cat running towards you two with like three kittens on its back
“Babe? What’s this all about?” He asks you, a smile on his face as the kittens snuggle in the crevices of his neck and right in the very tiny gap in between the two of you, the large cat laying next to you guys and snuggling up to you guys
“It’s a present, my love!”  You beam, a content smile on your face as you watch him love on the cats
And boom, the comfiest nap ever happened after more lovey dovey things
Thank you so much for reading and I hope that it lived up to your expectations. And I apologize if there are some spelling mistakes or grammatical errors, English is very hard for me haha. But anywho, I apologize if it’s to long or too short, please give me some feedback so I can understand on what I have to improve on my writing! But besides that, I hope all of you have a lovely day <3

A/N: Here’s another fill, because I got a plot bunny the other day and I wanted to fulfill it! Consider this one a combo of ince$t/plushophilia? Yeah. @kinky-things-happen
If this was wrong, Ferb didn't want to be right. He made sure Phineas was sleeping soundly with Perry, and then slowly straddled the stuffed animal underneath his crotch. He liked to imagine the plush was his brother, so many times. Too many times to properly count. Ferb was always glad that he was silent when masturbating, having years of practice with saying virtually nothing. It was a gift and a curse. A gift, because he could go the entire night without waking up Phineas. A curse, because...well, he could never get the words out to tell Phineas how he felt. The silence ate at him, tore at his soul.
Phineas made a soft noise in his sleep, rolled over. Ferb watched him carefully for any signs of waking, before starting to grind his hips into the plush bear beneath him. His eyes closed slowly, focusing on the tickling of the fur just starting to brush against his cock. He ground in further, having a slight resistance, but still enough give that he was silent.
He imagined Phineas. His lips, his hands, the brief skin contact they got when they were kids that he couldn't have any longer without asking. And those words would forever stay trapped in his throat. But he imagined he was on top of Phineas, grinding into Phineas' belly, the hair that had starter to grow there undoubtedly coarser than the plush, but this was the next best thing.
Ferb almost didn't notice the way Phineas shifted in bed. Almost. His head turned, almost against his will, on an instinct, and found Phineas staring back at him, eyes bleary with sleep. "Am I interrupting?" he asked, voice hazy and husky all at once.
Ferb made the "a little" gesture.
"Right. Do you want me to leave?" Phineas asked.
Ferb shrugged. He didn't care much either way.
Phineas forced himself to sit up further in bed, careful not to jostle Perry. "I need an actual answer, Ferb. Preferably verbal, but a nod or shake will do."
Ferb let out a shaky breath. "Stay," he said. "I'll stop."
"You don't have to," Phineas said, glancing everywhere but Ferb. "I...I'll admit that I didn't know what was going on at first, but it's...kinda hot."
"You mean that?" Ferb asked. He looked down at the bear between his legs, then at Phineas. "You...you mean that?"
"I...yeah, I do," Phineas said. "It's kinda hot. You're...I didn't understand it when Isabella told me about it once, but...with you..." he licked his lips, eyes darting to Ferb and then away, "...I suppose I could understand."
The words came tumbling out of Ferb's mouth without his permission. "I would imagine it was you," he admitted, voice scarcely above a whisper. "I just...wanted to know what it would be like. To...to love you."
Phineas stared at him a moment, before coming over and running a hand over Ferb's cheek. "You should have said something," he said with a little laugh. "I would have done this far sooner."
Ferb didn't get to ask what before Phineas kissed him, soft and slow and sensual. Their tongues slid together, Ferb's eyes fluttered closed. He pulled Phineas onto the bed, kicked the bear away. He ground onto Phineas' leg, still in the pajama pants he had been wearing. Phineas was tenting in them, biting his hand to keep quiet. His little noises sounded far better and far more intoxicating that Ferb could have ever imagined.
Phineas' fingers, calloused and slightly cold, felt at Ferb's cock. "Do you mind, bro?" he asked, voice huskier now that they were more heated than they had ever been before.
Ferb shook his head. "Be my guest," he said.
Phineas pumped Ferb's shaft and Ferb closed his eyes, a guttural growl leaving his throat. It was soft, too soft to wake anyone up, but it sounded like the sound barrier broke in the quiet of their room. "I would imagine Isabella was you, when we were together," Phineas said as he twisted Ferb's foreskin as he continued pumping. "I didn't want to be with her, but you," another twist, "And I would look for," another, "Any way to break up with her. I hated how she treated us as an item, a foregone conclusion. When all I wanted...was you."
Ferb kissed Phineas, chastely this time. "I never knew love until tonight," he breathed.
"Then show me you know what it looks like," Phineas said. "Come for me, Ferb. Knowing that I'm the one who got you off. No one else. Not Isabella, not that cute girl you pretended to have a crush on last week, not that teddy bear. Me."
Ferb closed his eyes, feeling the heat build in his core and his toes curled, and he came all over Phineas' hand and shirt. Ferb panted, leaning back in bed, and Phineas grinned. "Feel good?" he asked.
A single nod. Phineas curled up around Ferb in the tiny twin bed. "You don't mind me doing this?" he asked.
"We just fucked, Phineas," Ferb pointed out.
Phineas sniffed a laugh. "I guess I didn't really need to ask," he said, reaching for the tissue box on Ferb's nightstand and cleaning his hand. "Do you want to...do this again sometime?"
Ferb smiled. "I'd love to."

More Light Than Heat, Chapter 19
To Watch Skyscrapers Tumble

masterpost
Isabella tried to be mentally present for the rehearsal Thursday but all she could think about, for the first time in her entire life, was how grateful she was that summer was almost over.  This, the last week of the season, had to be the longest week of her life.
There was no reason it should feel like it was crawling - she was certainly busy enough.  Between wrapping things up at her internship and handling last minute wedding details, she barely had time to breathe, let alone contemplate why Candace’s text Monday left her feeling so warm and fuzzy.
Rehearsal dinner Thurs, not Fri. Pescada.   And then, a few seconds later: Ferb’s idea.
And she still hadn’t processed that when Django had texted her Tuesday and told her he was sorry things didn’t work out for her and Phineas.  That he was heading back to school, but if she needed to talk, he was there for her.
She…didn’t think that boded well for Phineas, but she hadn’t had a chance to ask.
Plus, she had exactly one more day at her internship, when she would be evaluated for her work that summer and she’d be able to say, definitively, that she’d ruined her dream career before she’d ever had a chance to start.  She wanted it to be over.
She was so close , and she probably could have gotten out of the night without dealing with any of it, except she just had to step outside for a breath of fresh air and run directly into the Flynn-Fletcher boys arguing.
Later, she would blame it on the headache.  It wasn’t even entirely a lie - she hadn’t been sleeping well and, as low as they were trying to keep their voices, Phineas and Ferb squabbling was like a mallet to the skull.  But most of it was a sharp pain in her chest accompanied by that same voice she heard during the tournament.
Wrong wrong wrong.
“Phineas!” she barked, plunging them into blessed silence as the boys turned to look at her.  With a deep breath, she said, “Just tell him.”
Ferb’s brows furrowed.  Phineas blinked.  “Are you sure?”
She forced a chuckle, but it came out more strangled than she preferred.  “I’ve already ruined everything else this summer.  I refuse to tank Phineas-and-Ferb too.”
Crossing her arms, she wrinkled her nose against threatening tears, watching Phineas face his brother.  He opened his mouth, but snapped it shut before saying anything.  Holding up a single finger, he said, “You: hold that thought.”
He slid across the patio to stand in front of Isbella, clenched jaw failing to guard her.
“Hey,” he said, taking her elbows in his hands.  “What are you talking about?”
She buried her face in her hands, leaning into his touch.  She wanted to hold her own, she knew this was all her fault…but it was just so fucking heavy.
“I snapped at Marissa and she hates me now.”
“She’ll forgive you,” he answered, his voice soft.  “You don’t have to be perfect, Izzy.  Just apologize.”
“Even if she does now, I completely blew our collab.  I’m never going to get a job in journalism.”
He rubbed her arms gently, grounding her.  “One bad day isn’t going to ruin an entire summer of hard work.”
“And your parents!”  Her voice broke, but she was too devastated to be ashamed.  “They’re practically my second parents, and now we’ve broken up, and that’s down the drain…”
Phineas was smiling now, the twinkle in his eye suggesting he’d laugh if he didn’t think it would make things worse.  “Isabella, Mom and Dad loved you long before we started dating and will continue to do so until the sun explodes, just like me and Ferb.  You haven’t ruined-”
“I talked to Django.”
The words flew out of her with the force of a train and, based on how quickly Phineas’s expression shifted, they hit him just as hard.  After a beat, he swallowed hard, biting his lip and shaking his head.
“Don’t worry-”
“Phineas!  You have been the best friend a girl could ask for, you went along with this whole harebrained scheme to make me happy, and this is what you get?  To miss out on a chance at something real -”
“No,” he said, a finality to his voice that garnered no discussion, but he kept talking anyway.  “No, Isabella.  This is real.  What you and I have is real .  It’s not less important or less valuable because it’s not romantic.  I agreed to this because you’re my best friend and I love you, and I don’t regret it.  Not a bit.”  He paused, making sure to look directly in her eyes before continuing.  “We couldn’t have predicted how this summer would turn out, but I still would have chosen you.”
Even Isabella couldn’t say if the sound she emitted then was a laugh or a sob, but she wrapped her arms around Phineas’s neck and emoted into his shoulder.  It felt like a long time that they stood that way before Isabella pulled back and wiped her tears away with her thumb.
“It goes without saying,” she told him with a shaky breath, “But I love you too.”
He beamed.  “Yes.  Yes, you do.”
This time, she absolutely laughed before smacking him playfully on the arm.  “Well, go on.  Come clean to your brother.”
He nodded, hand slipping down her arm to grip her palm as he turned to face Ferb.  “Isabella and I didn’t actually break up.”
Ferb only looked more confused and Isabella couldn’t blame him.  She laughed.  “You don’t lead with that.  He means: we didn’t actually break up because we were never actually together.”
If anything, this confused Ferb more.  He looked slowly between the two of them until, finally, Isabella winced.
“Don’t be too mad at your brother, okay?  He wanted to let you in on it, but I just-”  She sighed, unsure how to finish that sentence.  “I haven’t liked him in forever, but everybody just assumed!  Making it impossible to date anybody else, so we just…”
“Faked it?”
“Yeah…”  She twirled a strand of hair around her finger.  “Thought we’d let it run its course and everyone would finally see that we don’t belong together.”  She met his eyes sheepishly.  “I’m sorry we lied to you, but-”
His mouth opened slowly, eyes wide in horror.  “I wasn’t listening.”
Isabella nodded, tilting her head.  She knew he was apologizing, and she hoped he knew she forgave him.  And there it was - the uptick of one side of his lips, the tiny smile that made it clear he understood.
Turning from her, he gave his brother his full attention, holding his gaze for a long moment.  “I’m sorry.”
Isabella felt the tension in the air and the hand she held even as Phineas shrugged.  “You were trying to protect Isabella.”
Isabella took a small step to the side, making room as Ferb approached him.  “But I love you too, and I should have been listening to what you wanted.”
With one last squeeze, Phineas dropped her hand and embraced his brother.  Smiling, she took another step back and a small pivot towards the restaurant, determined to let them have this moment.  She paused when she saw Jeremy waiting in the doorway.  There was no way to know how long he’d been standing there or how much he’d heard, but he waited until Phineas and Ferb stepped apart.
“Hey y’all,” he said.  “Candace’s Bar results just came in, and she wants everybody in there when she reads it.”
“We’re coming,” Isabella called back, answering for all of them.  Phineas nodded, clapped Ferb on the shoulder, and jogged inside.  Isabella giggled at his enthusiasm, ready to follow, but a light touch on her back stopped her.
“Ferb…”  She braced herself, but when she turned to him, her eyes fell on the phone he was offering her first.  Wide-eyed, she stared at the screen until it went black.  She could have unlocked it - she knew his passcode - but she didn’t need to.  She’d seen what he was trying to show her.  It was Marissa’s article on the tournament - and the byline listed both of their names.
Maybe Phineas was right.  Maybe Marissa didn’t hate her and all she had to do was apologize.  She could do that.
“Thank you,” she breathed, finally looking Ferb in the eyes.
Vaguely, she realized that she didn’t know if Jeremy and Phineas had already gone in or if they were standing there, watching.  Vaguely tickling the back of her brain was the reminder that he really needed to get inside and be present for his sister, but it didn’t matter.  She was frozen in his gaze, unable to decipher what she found there.
“You picked a Kosher restaurant.”
He blinked, and it was only then that she realized she had said it.
“Well,” he answered.  “You wanted to know what your options were.”
She swallowed tightly.  “I-”  Cleared her throat as the fog left her brain.  “We should go back in.”
He nodded, but it took another long, few seconds before he actually walked away.  Following him was automatic.  She took her seat at the table between Phineas and Vanessa and tried to settle back into the conversation.  Everything blurred together, but she still felt enveloped by the warmth of it all.
The buoying effect of it carried her through to the next morning when, armed with two iced coffees, she felt ready for the day.  Head high, she walked into the newsroom and slid into the seat next to Marissa.
“I am very sorry I was a jerk to you last week,” she said, pushing a cup towards her.
Marissa took a sip of the coffee before looking up at her.  “We all have bad days.”
She gulped.  “Phineas and I broke up.”
Marissa’s brow furrowed.  “Are you…”
“Not that upset, actually.  It’s trite, but we actually are better as friends.”
Marissa nodded, considering.  “And did your feelings for his brother have anything to do with that?”
Isabella deflated.  “I am so sorry .  It just hit me all at once.  I shouldn’t have taken it out on you.”  She inhaled deeply, forcing herself to sit up straight.  “Ferb would be lucky to go to the Night of the Falling Stars Dance with you.”
“Nah,” she said, nonchalant.  “I don’t date my friends’ crushes.  We could go as a group though.”
“I actually have to drive back to school on Sunday.”
“So…when are you going to tell him?”
She shook her head, sipping her drink.
“Isabella!” she laughed incredulously.  “You can’t not tell him!”
“I-”  She cut herself off, head shaking frantically.
“Isabella, listen.”  She leaned forward, resting her elbows on her knees.  “My mom always taught me that there will be a lot of times you’ll have to choose between two different kinds of discomfort.  So there’s the discomfort of telling him, which would last…I dunno, ten minutes?  Or the discomfort of wondering for the rest of your life.”
Conspiratorially, Isabella leaned in.  “See, my mom taught me that, when you’re working with limited information, it’s impossible to know which choice is right and which is wrong, so the question is which choice can you live with being the wrong one.  And if telling Ferb is the wrong choice, I can’t live with losing him.”
“Admittedly, you know him better than I do, but…I don’t think Ferb’s that kind of friend.”
“No, but…I’m not usually the kind of friend who snaps at people for no reason, either.”
Marissa patted her hand.  “Which is why I forgive you.”  Leaning back in her chair, she added, “And why you’re not getting out of me nagging you about this.  That’s the kind of friend I am.”
Isabella caught herself smiling and took another sip of her drink.

“Ice Cream and Dances Pt. 2: Electric Boogaloo” Ch. 2
HELLO I AM POSTING A FIC UPDATE!!!!!!!! :DD
(Also a disclaimer! This fic uses the phrase “more than friends” a lot, and I wrote the first chapter before I realized that phrase can imply that friendships are lesser than romantic relationships. I want to make it clear that I do not see romantic relationships as inherently more valuable than friendships. Friendship is equally as important!!!! In the context of Phineas and Isabella, starting a romantic relationship would literally be them becoming “more than friends” because they would then be romantic partners AND friends. So, when I use that phrase in this fic moving forward, this is the meaning I’m choosing to interpret it as!)
“Ice Cream and Dances” by FrsdGirl
AO3
Previous Chapter
Isabella did her best to focus on inhaling and exhaling as Phineas led her back onto the dance floor.
“THIS IS A FRIEND THING.”
Once they found an empty spot, Phineas let go of Isabella’s hand and turned to face her, eyes wide and face flushed and GOODNESS HE LOOKED CUTE—
“HYPOTHETICAL. PLATONIC.”
Somehow, Isabella’s hands found their way to Phineas’s shoulders, though she wasn’t consciously aware of it until she felt him gently place his hands on her waist and oh goodness, friend thing or not, Phineas still wanted to dance with her and be close to her even though they’d already danced earlier aND—
“NO. STOP IT. KEEP IT TOGETHER, GARCIA-SHAPIRO.”
For about half a minute, they swayed platonically (or, well, somewhat platonically), neither saying a word.
Isabella just kept on focusing on breathing, on making sure she didn’t lean too close to Phineas, on keeping the desire to admit she’d actually love to be here with him on a real date at bay.
(She couldn’t have known Phineas was focusing on very similar things.)
Sure, she’d been nervous when they danced like this earlier. But those nerves were nothing compared to the nerves she was experiencing now because NOW, she had much more to worry about.
This was still strictly a friend thing, but it was also now a hypothetical more-than-friends-who-were-on-a-date thing. Except it WASN’T actually hypothetical in Isabella’s case, and she couldn’t help but hope that it might be more than hypothetical for Phineas as well but NO, she couldn’t give in to that hope, that was dangerous, so she needed to maintain a good balance between honesty and nonchalance about all this but that was difficult to do when he was so close and holding her and good grief , why’d she ever taken Buford up on his dare, and—
“Isabella? Are you okay?”
Isabella started and blinked, clearing her head of myriad worries with a shake to find Phineas staring at her with concern in his eyes.
“You kinda spaced out there for a second…” he continued. “And you looked a little worried. Is something wrong? Would you rather do something else?”
“NO!!!!!” Isabella shot back. A few nearby couples darted their heads in their direction, and she winced (the LAST thing she wanted to do was draw more attention to her and Phineas after their “grand entrance”).
“I...I just mean… I’m fine. Really.” She did her best to muster a smile for Phineas’s sake. “Just got lost in thought for a bit, you know?”
Phineas grinned, seemingly relieved to know that she was okay (though that could’ve just been Isabella reading into things). “Been there, done that!” he said.
Isabella chuckled a little, the image of Phineas hunched over his phone flickering in her memory. “I bet! You looked pretty lost in thought while Buford and I were dancing earlier. Who were you texting? Or were you testing out a new app?”
She felt a little more at ease now that she was talking with Phineas (as opposed to drowning in her own thoughts.)
“Huh??” Phineas blinked and bit his lip, shoulders briefly tensing up beneath Isabella’s hands. “...UH, I was just...texting Candace!”
“Really? It must have been an intense conversation, you looked so focused. Did she ask you for advice on a case assignment or something?”
“Oh, no, it wasn’t that… I just….uh” Phineas stared at her for a second and then up at the sky before continuing, “...I talk with her a lot these days. She’s got good advice.”
Isabella smiled and nodded in agreement in response.
(Perhaps she was a little curious to know what exactly Phineas had been discussing with Candace. But she knew he’d tell her if he wanted to, and she didn’t want to press him in case he didn’t.)
In the meantime, she could change the subject.
“So...have you been brainstorming any new projects lately?” she asked. “Other than the Stargazer 3000 of course, though if you want to talk about that I’m all ears!”
Phineas’s eyes practically ignited with excitement, making something flutter and glow in Isabella’s chest.
“Yeah!!!” he exclaimed. “Yesterday Ferb and I started experimenting with levitating carpets, like we did when we were kids! We want to see if we can replicate the effects over a smaller surface. But the technology isn’t quite ready yet…..”
“And THAT’S how we plan to modify our pre-existing anti-gravity quantum state lift disk technology to function effectively over a smaller surface area!! We’re planning on finishing up a prototype tomorrow and using it for a project.”
“Cool!! Can I come over and help out?”
“Of course! You never have to ask to come over, Isabella. I’ll—er, we’ll always be glad to have you around.”
“Thanks!”
Sometimes, it was easy to take living across the street from Phineas for granted. Because of that, Isabella was used to his boundless creativity and ideas, used to his uncanny ability to make the impossible possible...but she never wanted to lose sight of how extraordinary just being able to be used to those things was.
Moments like this reminded her that Phineas was brilliant .
And handsome.
….brilliantly handsome.
She cracked a smile at that last thought.
Phineas, fortunately, didn’t ask why she was smiling. He just smiled back...and then tilted his head, his expression morphing from fond to thoughtful.
“.....I just realized something,” he said. “We danced earlier.”
Isabella nodded, unsure where he was going with this.
“I guess, I just realized…. This—you know, us , dancing together—it doesn’t feel much different from how it felt before, when we were dancing but like...strictly as friends. ….uH! Not that we aren’t dancing strictly as friends right now! But...the hypothetical more-than-friends thing you were wondering about...you’d think it would make things feel more different….but if it’s us, it doesn’t. Not really.”
A blush sprawled across Isabella’s face. She’d been so wrapped up in listening to Phineas’s ideas, she’d almost forgotten about the hypothetical more-than-friends thing.
But Phineas apparently hadn’t forgotten.
“Uh—is that still a thing we’re doing?” he asked. “Pretending this is, like…a date? Or thinking about what it would be like if it were? Because I thought we were, but maybe I misunderstood, and if so that’s my bad—”
“No, you didn’t misunderstand!!!” Isabella replied quickly. “And, we can keep pretending this is a date. If you want.”
Phineas exhaled with a smile. “Cool!”
“Yup! Cool!” Isabella agreed.
Whew.
“And, you’re right,” she continued. “It doesn’t feel much different from how it did before...but it feels right. Talking with you feels better than just dancing in silence and staring at each other. I guess other couples might do that, but not us.”
“Yeah!!” Phineas let out a gentle chuckle. “I guess this means, if we were a couple, we wouldn’t act much differently from how we do now.”
“That’s what happens when you fall for your best friend, huh?” Isabella gave Phineas a knowing grin (she was basically a world-renowned expert on this subject). “Since there’s already a great foundation of friendship in place, romantic feelings can just develop naturally from what’s already there.”
….wait a second.
“….uH!!!” she choked, jerking back and clutching her hands to her chest on instinct. “Not that I’d know that personally!! Just, uh! In movies and stuff! That’s how it always goes. Yup. And we’re best friends, so! In this hypothetical scenario, we’d be best friends who fell for each other. Hypothetically.”
“Okaaayyyy time to divert the subject, Garcia-Shapiro.”
“People in movies have it easy….” she continued, trying her best to sound light and casual. “They meet and then, less than two hours later, BOOM! They’re together, true love for life!! Or...at least, they’re together until a sequel comes out and they’ve broken up offscreen just to get back together again….”
(The older Isabella got, the less patience she had for subpar romance movies and subplots.)
“Yeah….it’s a lot harder in real life...” Phineas agreed quietly. “Though, we’d be remiss if we didn’t talk about how it is hard for couples in TV shows. Like, Candace used to watch this show where the two main characters were in love but they didn’t realize it, and they kept on ALMOST confessing or getting together but didn’t actually get together until the very end. She’d get so frustrated with them, called them the ‘token will they/won’t they couple.’ There were a few steady side-couples though, Candace always used to say they made watching the show a little easier.”
He leaned in, a conspiratorial twinkle in his eye, and whispered, “She always used to compare herself and Jeremy to the main couple, but between you and me, the two of them are definitely more the ‘steady side-couple’ type.”
Isabella snickered. “ Oh yeah. They had it easy! They liked each other from the beginning, went on dates, started officially dating and then just...stayed that way.”
“If only it were always that simple….” Phineas sighed.
“If Candace and Jeremy are a steady side couple, what would that make us?” Isabella asked.
She flinched and quickly added, “uH!!! In a hypothetical sense!!!!”
Phineas blinked. “UM!!! That’s a great question!!!”
...was he blushing? Or was it a trick of the light?
“I guess, uh….we’d be the token ‘will they/won’t they’ couple?”
he rubbed the back of his neck and chucked slightly. “I mean, uh...in your hypothetical scenario, I’m not sure if we’d already be together or if this would be our first time doing something together. Together -together, I mean. On a date, you know. But, uh…….. Okay, let’s say I had feelings for you. Hypothetically. I’d have no reason to believe you returned those feelings.”
Isabella bit her lip and resisted the urge to roll her eyes into the nearest adjacent galaxy.
That was Phineas, alright. Oblivious as always.
“...BUT!!” he continued, “if you returned them without knowing about MY feelings, that would be a classic ‘will they/won’t they’ scenario. At least, according to Candace, anyway….yup….”
He suddenly seemed quite interested in staring at the grass beneath their feet.
Isabella followed his gaze and studied the ground for a bit, both to avoid pondering their hypothetical couple status any longer AND because, if Phineas was staring at the grass, it likely meant something interesting was happening down there.
...except nothing interesting was happening.
“.....okay, there’s no way the grass is interesting enough to warrant us staring at it for this long,” she mused. “You didn’t get hit with a dull and boring ray, did you?”
(She was mostly joking, but one could never be too careful in Danville.)
Phineas glanced back up at her and just stared at a moment before cracking a smile.
“Funny you should mention that….i was JUST thinking about the color beige….”
A moment passed.
And then he started to giggle. Quietly at first…and then not so quietly. His amusement was contagious, and soon Isabella was caught up in it too, the two of them grinning and laughing and as carefree as could be, all the awkwardness momentarily gone.
(The ruckus garnered some more stares, as the music playing was still pretty soft….but Isabella didn’t really care about that anymore. Having fun with Phineas was way more important than worrying about what others thought.)
Gradually, their laughter died down, with Phineas giving one final giggle and wiping a tear from his cheek before placing his hand back on Isabella’s waist, eyes shining with mirth.
Isabella gazed at him with a beaming smile.
There was just something about Phineas’s laughter, something about the way he smiled so brightly and expressed such genuine positivity so effortlessly, that had fascinated her and made her head spin since they were kids....and right now, it was hard to feel scared of expressing her true feelings for him.
(In other words, she was sooo in love with him right now.)
“You know….” she whispered with a flirtatious grin, “...if WE were dating—uh, on a date, within the parameters of the hypothetical more-than-friends thing!!!”
Good save, Garcia-Shapiro.
“...I’d have told you how handsome you look by now.”
“Huh?” Phineas blinked and glanced down at his outfit. “...Oh! Thanks! ...but, I’m not really dressed for a date….I wear this shirt at least once a week, and I haven't brushed my hair since this morning.”
“Aw, Phineas, you ALWAYS look handsome,” Isabella assured him. “No matter what. I mean, between the red hair and all your freckles and your acute nose and your SMILE, I’m not sure how anyone could NOT see how handsome you are…. And it’s not just your looks either, it’s your laugh and the way you can light up anyone and anything around you just by being you, it all makes you handsome, and……”
A bit of the happy fog in Isabella’s brain evaporated, allowing her to realize she’d been rambling to Phineas about how handsome he was for the past 20 seconds.
Oops.
“uH!!!! That is! That’s what I would say if this wasn’t a friend thing! But it is! So! Uh. You can just forget I said all that, if you want….”
She winced and clenched her eyes shut. That had been too much, she’d totally taken things too far, and now Phineas would probably be super weirded out...
Except.
One glance at Phineas revealed he wasn’t weirded out at all. His cheeks were flushed and his eyes soft, mouth slightly agape with what might have been astonishment.
He looked flustered, but in a good way.
And then...he smiled again. He smiled at her.
And it was a warm smile, a gentle smile, perhaps the most adoration-filled smile Isabella had ever seen and it was directed at her and doing funny things to her heart.
“Well….” he whispered softly, “...if this weren’t a friend thing, I’d have already told you you look as beautiful as ever…. But, since this is a friend thing and I haven’t told you yet….I’ll just tell you now. Isabella, you look as beautiful as ever.”
He grinned before continuing on in a manner similar to how Isabella had spoken a bit ago.
“I mean, between your eyes, and your hair, and the way your entire face seems to light up when you smile, and your adorable laughter, and the way you’re brave enough to say whatever’s on your mind…..I don’t think anyone else is as beautiful as you, Isabella. In every sense of the word.”
Isabella’s heart was going to pound right out of her chest. Or perhaps her knees would give out and she’d collapse right here, sprawled across the grass, running Phineas’s words and tender looks over and over again in her head for the foreseeable future.
It wouldn’t be a bad way to spend the rest of the evening.
But Phineas wasn’t done yet. He drew a hand back and then reached out for Isabella’s face...only to flinch and freeze in place.
“...uH!!” he breathed, hand still suspended in mid-air. “....if this were a date, I think I’d unconsciously reach out to brush a lock of hair behind your ear after saying all those things, just to see you better! ...would you be alright with that?”
Isabella didn’t trust herself to piece a coherent sentence together at the moment, but she knew she’d definitely be alright with that, so she nodded her head.
Phineas inhaled and tentatively reached out until his fingers were gracing Isabella’s cheek and then ever-so-gently brushing a strand of hair behind her ear.
And once again, Isabella did her best to focus on inhaling and exhaling, on staying present in the moment…but this time, she wasn’t constantly reminding herself this was just pretend.
Because….what if it wasn’t?
Phineas was one of the most authentic people Isabella knew. Authentic to a fault, almost.
And that trademark authenticity, which she’d come to recognize in all of his inventions and actions and words in the years they’d been friends…..she recognized it now. In the hand cradling her face and the eyes gazing at her softly and the tender smile that hovered a mere foot or two from her own.
…perhaps Phineas had tried to ask her here on a date earlier.
Perhaps Buford had been right.
Thanks for reading!! And thanks as always to the lovely FrsdGirl for inspiring this fic and allowing me to write it and also for being just, the best ever, I adore you my friend🥺💕.
This isn’t the end btw, I know how this is gonna end, just haven’t written it properly yet!
