this earns him a loud smack on his arm, the sound vibrating well in the area of the library that you're in. "do you want to do something else?" he asks. you told him no and continued to study as if nothing had happened.

alhaitham almost forgot how you're stubborn. he admires this trait of yours, truly, but when it comes to times like these? oh, how he wishes you weren't so stubborn in the first place.

he calls your name once, twice, and three times. but you ignored him and acted as if he wasn't just beside you. "love," he calls. that was his trump card—the endearment that you just love to hear from him.

"this isn't going to work on me, alhaitham," you say. 

"but at least now, i got your attention." he says. you turn to him in confusion, just how alhaitham expected and use that chance to grab your chin gently with his fingers to keep you facing him. 

"what is i—"

you get cut off by him pressing a soft kiss on your lips, which surprised you. but not that you hate it; it's just a bit rare for alhaitham to initiate this type of thing first. 

the soft kiss made you want for more, your hand slowly creeping up to the nape of his neck, and you feel his hand cupping your cheek now. was this what he wanted to happen? 

he pulled back not too long after before things could get more intense. and that honestly disappointed you, which is exactly what alhaitham wants, and you finally realized it. he kisses you so good and pulls away just when things are getting good; of course you would want more.

"god, you're insufferable," you say to him, and alhaitham just chuckles at you.
