ty @jack-kellys for enabling me!! i’ll lay down some backstory thoughts here, and i got another ask where i’ll get into my thoughts abt their personalities n stuff!!
okay here we go:
- so. they’re the only people jack knows who spent longer in the refuge than he did. they were already in there the first time he got put in, and didn’t get out until after his second stint there, when wiesel finally came to get them (claiming to be their long-lost uncle, when he really asked snyder if he could take a couple kids to put to work at the newspaper, and was given 14 year old oscar and 12 year old morris just to get them out of the way).
- spending a good chunk of their formative years in jail severely fucked up their worldview and ways of thinking. their dad dropped them off himself, not wanting anything to do with them after their mom died, and they’ve only had each other ever since.
- they spent over 3 years in there, surviving by keeping to themselves and never starting fights, only finishing them. they watched jack constantly mouth off at the guards and go kicking and screaming whenever he got dragged out of the room for some kind of punishment - and they resented him for it, bc the guards would often be much more aggressive and mean after incidents like that. jack kelly came into the refuge, made things worse for everyone, and then found some clever way to sneak out… TWICE. it was infuriating.
- so they finally got out, and started their new job at the world, only to find out that jack fucking kelly was a newsie now, and a popular one at that. he had the same smart mouth that got him in trouble in the refuge, but all it did out here was make the other kids laugh - and he often put it to use against oscar and morris, with cutting comments and mean jokes that felt unwarranted at first, pushing them to really start bullying jack and the newsies in return.
- their job at the newspaper is miserable, but there’s no escaping it - they spend long days counting and bundling papers, and then they have to stand there and hand them out to the newsies, who just seem like they have so much fun. those kids live with their friends in the lodging house, and they roam the streets all day, and they’re always laughing and joking… while oscar and morris share a tiny bedroom at wiesel’s place, and don’t often get to be around anyone other than each other. they’re paid only in room and board - if they were to try to run away and leave the job, they’d be homeless and penniless, with both wiesel and snyder out to chase them down.
- a detail i’m gonna elaborate on eventually is that i think oscar, as the older brother, is much angrier than morris is. his entire life has been about keeping morris safe… something he’s largely failed at. no matter what he does, he’s forced to see his brother scared and hurt and exhausted and beaten-down, practically all the time. morris, while just as big and strong as his brother, is scared of wiesel, scared of snyder, sometimes even scared of oscar’s bad moods and temper, meaning all of oscar’s efforts to protect him typically backfire and make things worse.
- so they’re angry. they punch down because that’s all that’s ever been done to them. they don’t care about anyone other than each other, and they resent jack and the newsies for a life that looks better than their own isolated one, despite knowing that it’s just as hard out there for them. the older they get, the more people they start to take their rage out on - like beating up on trolley strikers, which is the only type of extra work wiesel allows them to pick up in the evenings, or doing snyder’s dirty work and dragging kids to the refuge as some kind of revenge for everything they’ve gone through.
- they suck, right? but in their situation, who wouldn’t? it’s hard to feel bad for them, given how cruel they are in canon, but it’s definitely interesting to take a look at where they might’ve come from. these poor fellas just never managed to catch a break, and it ruined them :(

Okay! This episode had lots of ups and downs. LOTS of joe and downs.
The Steve/Nancy bullshit can literally eat shit I hate it I HATE IT
Once again the tension is constantly being ramped up, especially with the Russian team and the upside down team.
I didn’t even notice the California team wasn’t in this ep bc that’s how little I care.
There are a bunch of scenes I’ve seen as gifs that I didn’t see? Are those from teasers? Like Eddie playing his guitar in the UD?? I assume that’s to help Nancy out but I have NO idea.
Anyway this one had some good moments of return to what st used to be especially with Lucas and Dustin, but the last 20-30 minutes of pure exposition and flashbacks really sucked the life out of me. Not too sure how I feel about this ep overall

The way Steve is literally being EATEN ALIVE by those things jesus christ. We joke abt him getting fucked up every season but this is by far the worst one. He’s alone! And so scared! And he doesn’t know his friends are coming!

i was in the streets of cornwall i think and i saw kim trying to get into this door of his house sneakily so i went up to him and was like kim kim kim heyyyy what u doing and he was like im busy and was kinda serious so i was like let me help whats going on so he let me come inside with him and immediately was like shut the door quickly lock it so i did. i asked him why and he explained like the police are coming to get him because he has his cats in the house so we have to hide him and he asked me to give him a leg up so he could climb on top of the closet and hide up there and i was like ok but i think the better idea would be to hide your cats and as i said that i heard banging and yelling at the door from the police telling him to open up so i quickly put the cats up on top of the closet with him (stupidly) and opened the door and they came in so fast they knocked me down. then once they came inside the cats immediately jumped back down but they ignored the cats and instead arrested me for the disappearence of kims mum
i dont remember being in jail but i remember arguing in court with them and being like WHY would i fuckin steal his cats i care about him so much we talk abt his cats all the time. and i think i got out on bail or smthing but when i got out i was walking around and i noticed i was next to kims same house again and it was all crime scened up and closed.
then i think i encountered kim again and he was rly sad abt his mum so i was like hey lets go to spain and for some reason he agreed to come with me so i got us this hotel and we were on the 6th floor and the room was so crazy huge it didnt really have any walls but it had all these sections for like the bedroom, the lounge, the balcony. it was really nice and he started to cheer up a bit more when we were there. i think i was sitting doing something close to him like reading and he suddenly leant his chin on my shoulder and i wanted to cry from happiness, so i think i reached out and took his hand and he held hands with me and it felt so innocent and pure. i felt like a child again. i think i was scared to kiss him so i just brushed my lips against his hand but then we did kiss and i was laughing and so was he and it was just like , not laughing at eachother but from happiness idk it was rly cliche but so nice.
and i think what was so nice about it was ok ive been battling a lot with how like messed up my sex drive is from abuse and how like i jump to sex so fast with people and try to use it to exchange for love and care, its something ive been working on and like i remember even in the dream thinking about that and thinking i dont want to do this yet because it may weird him out. and idk that made me feel happy inside too. to grow like that even if it was a dream cuz it felt incredibly real.
i think i asked if he was hungry and if he wanted to explore the rest of the hotel and he said yes so we wandered downstairs to this like big wide open dining room that had a terrace smoking area and we sat outside on it , it was so high up above the clouds and he linked arms with me which is something i love to do with people it feels so cute and like for him to do it to me felt really cute too IDK im smiling thinking about it now. it was cute it felt like he wasnt ashamed to be seen with me , he was happy and that made me so happy.
i think we sat down on a table next to some other people and kim did something to offend them i cant remember what so i explained the situation and they were very kind and understanding and i talked with them a bit about the city and stuff and translated for kim and he was like not very shy i always thought he was quite shy and tbh i am shy too i would never talk to someone like that in real life but we both did and it was nice. then i think we wandered back up to our room again and i was pointing out to him like all the weird shops this hotel had inside it somehow like a bowling alley and a supermarket and a tailors . it kinda looked like asturias alisios centre the bit near carrefour lol.
anyway once we got back to our room i think i offered kim some mushrooms and he was like ok, i was kind of high in the dream already i think so i was struggling to think of a correct doseage for him so i told him eat half this mushroom and it was a pretty small one. i think he was okay but the next thing i remember was being naked in bed with him, i dont think we were having sex but i remember thinking oh hes probably never touched breasts before and then i woke up

THE DIALOGUE POTENTIAL BETWEEN THEM AS THEY FINALLY TALK ONE-ON-ONE, and then some revisiting of the scene where dustfinger has the opportunity to kill basta but AGAIN withholds because killing is not in his nature….THEN MO IN SHINING ARMOUR SWOOPS IN TO DO THE JOB

oooooooooohh nooo thats so cute :(((( what u said abt young eden is so true omgg. they r also def the type of kid that brings stray cats n dogs 2 their home. so evrytime the orphanage carataker hears a meowing or barking inside they r like "gdi eden not AGAIN!!" but it wouldnt stop them lol. they r the type that r immune to scolding. after finishing wth being scolded theyll go back 2 do exactly what they r told not 2 do. oh n also they enjoy rough playing. so on top of being covered in dirt or mud, theyll always have bruises n scratches from getting into fights or just from falling or running around. also they have a habit of like, suddenly disappearing (maybe 2 the forest which makes them hard 2 track).
and lol ye i saw it, it made me go hmmm, a true missed opportunity. eden wouldnt let the chance pass. im manifesting a future update where we could give them oral spiderman style 🙏

Ooooo boy Eden and Bailey's past is something I often think about.
Under a cut for sheer length
Okay so I think they are about the same age (late 20s to early 40s) and that they grew up in the orphanage together.
I think Eden was there since very young/birth, but Bailey came later.
Eden not having sole primary care takers fucked up their socialising skills and they felt more comfortable on their own (read:fear of abandonment).
Bailey I think came from a really abusive impoverished home, and thats what made them obsessed with money. They have a weird vendetta against their birth parents to be 'better' than them.
Eden had a stray dog they cared for, but one day when they were running through the forest, a wolf got at it. Hence their 'non of these would survive in the wild' line at the pet store, and their obvious interest in puppy play.
After that, Eden started to shut off even more, being aggressive with the other kids, until Bailey started hanging out with them.
Bailey was angry to be in an orphanage and could see that Eden obviously wasn't happy, so they sort of gravitated towards each other.
Bailey was also the only other kid that didn't cry when Eden hit them.
They're the only two people that know each other's birthdays, besides anyone who looks at their very real legal documents.
As they hit puberty and start growing, they get competitive. Both are rather controlling, so they make a ton of bets against each other. One of them being who can lose their virginity the fastest.
Eden is rather blunt at asking, scaring a lot of the potential partners off, while Bailey is smoother about it and of course wins the bet.
Some fellow orphans start going missing, making everyone uneasy.
This is also when they start noticing the rampant sexual assualt in town, travelling as two most of the time so they can fight people off easier, if needs be.
Terrible at school. Eden was great at English, decent at history, but good luck making them show up half of the time. Eden had a talent for art, however, particularly carvings.
Bailey was there to socialise and steal lunch money, but they had okay grades.
If this is set in England, they would have gone to a secondary school with a sixth form. This means ages 11-18 as students, and I hc that when they were in year 7 (1st year of secondary) Leighton was in sixth form (years 12 and 13). They did not get along for the brief time they would meet in the halls.
I also think Eden would have dropped out in year 11, at age 16, and probably had an apprenticeship with a woodworking company (explains making the coat rack and love seat).
Bailey starts getting into more and more criminal activities, dragging Eden into them too, until a local crime boss notices them. The boss takes Bailey under their wing, thinking Eden won't be right for the job.
Instead they ask Eden to get a job at the police station and help them get further footholds there, that's how Eden has all of those collars (inspired by that one anon), and possibly their rifle. Alternatively, Eden leaves for the military and comes back later.
It works, and they end up covering a lot of their tracks. It's probably around this point that Landry does a few smaller jobs around the place and starts hearing about the Boss' new protégé.
They both have money now, for the first time in there lives, and this is when their differences start to show.
Bailey wants more and more, where as Eden wants to be comfortable.
Bailey fits into the mobster life fairly easily, but instead of the drugs that a lot of the others peddle, Bailey specialises in extortion and blackmail.
They slowly end up getting quite a few powerful figures under their control, and when the boss dies and Bailey ends up in charge of the money? They buy the orphanage.
I think Bailey might have cared for the orphans at one point, in their own ways, but their greed got the better of them.
Working under the mob and the corrupt police has Eden start to hate and fear the town. The only place they felt safer was the forest - which was full of deadly animals. But Eden could protect themselves now.
Being tall and muscular means that Eden is often sent to intimidate or even physically hurt people, often times getting hurt as well. Not to mention when arresting people, some are rather adverse to going to jail and take stabs at them.
If I go with Eden joining the military, they come home hoping to have a familiar setting calm their nerves, but it doesn't. Working for Bailey to earn money also doesn't help, one job having them break into the police station and setting fire to their files (that's another way Eden could find the collars, think of their old dog, and take them in nostalgia).
Eden cracks when they're asked to kill someone off, only to realise its a kid. That's too far.
They go to Bailey and tell them they're done. They need an out, they're fucking miserable, barely sleeping, constantly anxious, and Bailey tries to convince them to stay at first, before realising that they could lose their best friend once and for all if they force them to stay.
So they start planning together what Eden should do, and eventually come up with the cabin. Bailey has Quinn/their predecessor in their pocket by this point, so some cash and threats have some builders help make it, including running water.
When in town, Eden supplies Bailey with animal furs for custom coats. Bailey gets Eden new books, cans of food, more bullets. And if you miss your payment, Bailey eventually gifts Eden with a spouse.
Eden gets angry if they 'rescue' you from Bailey cause its a reminder of the past they try to avoid, and they take it out on you. Of the fear they had as a young orphan of disappearing, something Bailey is now enforcing on more orphans. They take it out on you because violence has always been a way they've coped.
Occasionally, maybe on one of those birthdays, they sit at the lake and drink some whiskey together. They don't talk about their feelings, they're both too stunted for that. But it's comforting knowing each other is still alive and well.

i can see billy just outright avoiding steve for a good two weeks.
like neil is in jail and susan is working on getting a restraining order and everything is evening out again.
but billy, poor billy hasn’t been awake these past few days. he’s been walking and talking just like a normal billy, but he’s in a daze, not registering much. he doesn’t understand the words people say to him because there are so many thoughts in his head already.
steve has called, multiple times, and every time max answers and calls for billy, he shuts down the conversation quick.
one time, steve even showed up to the house, parking next to billy’s camaro and knocking on the door.
billy opened the door with a stern, hard face.
“hey,” steve sighed out, posture relaxing, “i’ve been trying to call you all week and you’ve been—“
“you shouldn’t be here,” billy says to steve
“you shouldn’t think of me anymore,”
“what?” steve’s eyebrows scrunch together and it pulls on the scabs on his face. “billy, what is this about? why not?”
“i—i don’t understand. why not?”
“because you’re better than this, steve!” billy shouted, not worried about bothering any neighbor or one of the girls in the house. “bad things happen to people around me, don’t you see that!?”
“things aren’t working out and i can’t talk to you anymore...please,”
“but i already got hurt for you, billy!” steve shouted right back, “i got hurt for you, because of you, and i still want to come back!”
“you got hurt... because of me?”
“you’ll get sick of it, steve! when you keep getting hurt, you’re gonna leave for your own safety, so just bite the bullet now and get on with your life!”
“no. it was my own fault, not yours. never yours,”
the door slammed in steve’s face and neither boy separated by the wooden door dared to move, dared to breathe.
all this time, this whole conversation, every time billy blinked, steve turned into harry.
harry’s blonde hair would replace steve’s, steve and would shrink a half foot to be harry’s height, but their eyes stayed the same.
those beautiful, doe, bambi eyes that billy would jump off a cliff for. harry’s eyes. steve’s eyes.
billy thought of harry. harry, who at 15 knew more about love and happiness than billy still knows now.
harry, who had been the only person in california since billy’s mom to actually ask ‘how are you doing, billy’ and really want a response. wanted to know how he was.
steve did that, too.
but neil was a spark and billy was the gasoline, but everything he touched got infected too, ready to be lit up in flames at a moments notice.
nobody in billy’s life was or is ever going to be safe from the spark.
max’s head peaked around the corner, just in time for her to see billy turn towards his room while wiping at his eyes.
max rushed to the front door once billy’s bedroom door shut and searched for steve outside.
he was getting into his car when max approached him.
“you have to give him time,”
“yeah, time,” steve grumbled, “what so he can break up with me again?”
“that wasn’t billy breaking up with you, steve,”
he scoffed in disbelief, “oh, it wasn’t? well i dread the day he does, because that hurt worse than neil beating me up!”
“he wasn’t breaking up with you steve, he’s trying to get you to break up with him,”
“that’s ridiculous,”
“that’s billy,” steve just ignored her and went to open his car door, “look, steve, he had a boyfriend... before. neil found out and billy hasn’t been the same. and a lot of things in his life have... gone wrong and he’s just waiting for you to leave him, just like everything else,”
“but i want to stay!” steve shouted frustratedly, “i call him every day and show up to his house and all he does is yell at me like it’s my fault!”
“he doesn’t think it’s your fault, he thinks it’s his,”
“it’s not, though, and i don’t know how to make him see that!”
“you can’t give up, steve,” max begged as her and steve argued in the driveway, “please don’t give up on him, not yet, at least. please,”
steve stood with a hand on the hood of his car as he worried his lip, fingers tapping in an anxious way and his face was blank with thought.
“...fine,” steve spat out and slammed his door shut.
he started marching towards the house and swung the door open, giving a kind smile to susan before turning to billy’s room.
“you don’t get to decide what i do! not now, not in the future!”
billy was standing in the middle of his room, standing with half his jeans off and shirtless as he saw an angry steve in the doorway.
“steve,—“
“no! no, you don’t get to say ‘steve’ in that pretending it’s for my well-being voice! i decide what is safe for me to do and what isn’t safe for me to do, and, billy hargrove, you are the best thing i’ve got and i’m not letting you walk away because you’re scared,”
the boys stood quietly, stubbornly not talking to one another, lest the other succeed to their point of view.
“do you remember that night at my house, in april, when we were doing homework?” steve asked quietly, getting billy’s attention. “it was one of the first times we were hanging out just to... be around each other.
“anyway, you were reading these little paragraphs for english and had to write something about them—i don’t really remember your assignment—but you tapped the table twice and i looked up from my calculus papers.
“you smiled at me and read this paragraph about a girl standing up for herself. the last sentence that you said was ‘bravery is not the absence of fear, but the courage to do the right thing despite that fear,’ do you remember that?”
billy nodded, reluctantly.
“then...” steve took slow steps, shoes clicking on the hardwood as he approached billy.
steve’s soft hands pulled at billy’s calloused ones, gripping them a bit tighter than necessary. “will you be brave with me?”
and billy, with his jeans still around his ankles and no other clothes on but his purple and blue plaid boxers, pulled steve in for a long, loving kiss.
“i’ll be brave,” billy spoke, almost directly in steve’s face for as close as they were, “but i’m still scared,”
“me too,” steve smiled, giggling like a toddler, but overjoyed with his afternoon plans going better than expected.

HISTORY.
born in autumn ‘97 to a “budding rockstar” (translation: “no yeah i swear our band’s really starting to take off, we sold twenty-three tickets to our last show!”) & a woman with commitment issues ♥️ geon’s dad always told him that his mom left because she had some dire matters that needed to be taken care of and SWORE that she cried the last time she held her dear baby boy, but all of his dad’s bandmates say that she was just some groupie and had to be persuaded into carrying her child to term… who can say for sure?
naturally, there are no pictures of this mystery woman. there was one (1) of her holding infant geon, but then he found out that that was actually a sound tech who worked for his dad’s band… and he just never corrected geon’s assumptions LOLLLL
anyway! he was always really close to his dad, considering they were a two-person family. he has a set of grandparents, an aunt and a couple cousins but they were never involved with geon’s life because his dad is the #blacksheep of the family. geon and his dad against the world, am i right?
uhhh geon was also kind of a black sheep growing up, but he didn’t really notice? he was a happy kid, very energetic and enthusiastic. a lot of adults in the area looked down on him & his dad, but he was SOOOO blind to it because his dad’s a god in his eyes and HE’S always been nice to everyone, so why would they not like him??? because his clothes smelled a little like dad’s cigarette smoke??? big deal
wasn’t troublesome (beyond talking too much), but a lot of people still expected bad things from him :/ “his father’s a dirtbag, i’ll be surprised if that boy doesn’t end up in jail by 20”, “he won’t amount to anything without a proper role model in his life”, “his dad is teaching him how to slack off”, “he won’t contribute anything to society”, etc. he kindaaa picked up on this as he got older but pretended not to because it was more rewarding to play dumb and keep being a good kid(tm) to prove them wrong
was basically a mini version of his dad. same style, similar features, birthmarks in the same places, same “live today, die tomorrow” approach in life, same affinity for singing & playing rock music. ummm he loved his dad a lot. a lot. a lot. wanted to make him proud SO BAD, started his first band when he was 15 and they sucked so bad but his dad was their biggest fan… you know how it is. a lot of people misunderstood him, but he was a very good guy and such a great parent
TW DEATH unfortunately he passed away just shy of geon’s 18th birthday and your boy still hasn’t forgiven the world for taking his dad when he was in the middle of his angsty teen phase — had he known that their time together was dwindling, he would’ve been so so so much better to him END TW
his dad’s band actually rocketed into the charts after he passed & suddenly they were getting loads of publicity, lots of “what a shame that he went under-appreciated” which pissed geon off SOOOO bad because why couldn’t they have had that energy when he was still alive? he’s still mad about it five/six years later
this is getting kinda long, so uhhh tl;dr, he ended up staying with the drummer of his dad’s band until he was old enough to live alone/READY to live alone, but he changed quite a bit. was really going through it, quit his band, stopped putting effort into school. barely graduated. went from being a social butterfly spending every weekend at a gig or with friends to spending all of his time on a pc or in front of a tv, playing console games. the internet comforted him when nobody else would/could and then he met the future members of meta <33333333 #newbeginnings
present day geon is still struggling, has to go to counseling bi-weekly but he’s coming back out of his shell! he wants to fall in love with life again, just wants to tread carefully... outgoing & will talk to absolutely anyone, but he still spends most of his time alone. hard to reach by text, so if you wanna talk to him, you better call/facetime LMAO. talks a mile a minute, especially if you get him going abt something he really likes. laughs a lot, smiles a lot, more habitual than actual signs of happiness but yk. ummm he has a really loud voice, mostly controlled nowadays but he still gets carried away sometimes. an absolute menace during long drives/flights, sorry meta.
funny but only when he’s in large groups. feeds off of other peoples’ energy, really good at reading a room and breaking the ice/making everyone comfortable, but if you meet him 1-on-1, none of his jokes land quite the same.
i envision him as being the kind of guy who carries himself in such a way that you’d assume he’s really popular/out of reach/maybe even full of himself, but he’s... not like that... at all... in fact, he’s kinda irritating when you get to know him. the personification of a flood followed by a drought and vice versa, always either too much or not enough. gets used/ghosted/dropped/dumped/whatever a lot because he’s soooo fun in the moment (if he isn’t in his feelings), but draining long-term.
really emotionally intelligent, in touch with his feelings in a way that a lot of people never thought he would be (probably thanks to counseling tbh). he’s very very rarely the type of person who will make you wonder what your place in his life is — he’s communicative, kind, honest. ummm he thinks that intimacy between friends needs to be more common, so he’s really affectionate with the people in his life. type of guy to tell you he loves you every chance he gets (calling you when he’s drunk, sounding like a clingy ex type beat) & greet you/depart with a hug. losing his dad kinda fucked him up in the way that he won’t leave/hang up until his friends say “i love you” back, gets kinda (re: very) upset if he’s denied that and/or a hug.
TRIVIA.
has been playing the guitar “longer than he’s been walking” (not really, but he swears it’s true).
uhhh he really likes nail art, but he’s kinda hesitant in what he tries? mainly sticks to black polish (or other plain colors), but sometimes he’ll get little designs added in as well. mainly does it himself because he still doesn’t feel comfortable in salons... if his work looks bad, leave him alone <3 he’s trying
inspired by people like kurt cobain, nicky wire, yungblud, billie joe armstrong & damiano david in the fact that he’s not against wearing dresses or skirts on stage. doesn’t do it ALL the time, but often enough that it doesn’t go unnoticed. some people say that he does it for attention because he doesn’t dress like that elsewhere and tbh they’re probably kinda right
interested in history (only SOME... dinosaurs, ancient civilizations, specialized areas like the history of circuses/clowns/skateboarding/punk, stuff like that yk), stand-up comedy & documentaries. could spend a whole day watching documentaries and would say he had fun, has a lot of useless knowledge that nobody gives a fuck about and is kinda dumb when it comes to things that matter
when it comes to music, he prefers playing really fast and heavy rock or punk over anything else, but he actually listens to a lot more soft indie on his own time... he’s too tense these days to be listening to anything else RIPPP
the vibe: homemade tie-dye, ripped slipknot t-shirts, frosted tips, neon crocs with alien & peace-sign charms, chipped black nail polish, calloused hands, cheesy pick-up lines used NOT to land a date but to pull a smile, driving until he’s lost, stupid socks paired with pressed suits, dramatic poetry in an iphone note, etc.

uhhh an on & off relationship that’s been going for who-knows-how-long. the reason for this is up for discussion, but i imagine that he hasn’t given up yet because the constant highs and lows are a good source of inspo 🤪 artists must suffer for their art!
opposite side of the coin — someone he’s interested in, but he’s NOT disloyal so it’s a pattern of persistent courting when he’s single vs intense friend-zoning when he’s not and they’re getting tired of trying to figure out what he wants from them
someone else who likes nail art & can convince him that NOBODY cares if he goes to a salon
someone (probably female but doesn’t really matter tbh) who feels like his feminism is entirely performative… maybe they attack him directly for it or maybe they just REALLY don’t like him and they’re super vague about it idk. either way, please tell him that activism is much more than recommending one female artist a year and saying “clothes have no gender 🤪” so he can be praised for the bare minimum (his heart is in the right place but his skull is empty)
someone super introverted who comes out of their shell with geon! uhhh maybe they think that he’s the one doing them a favor, but in reality spending time with them has been doing wonders for his mental health
other people who like to skate. let’s congregate at the local skatepark and scare the middle schoolers away

someone who likes to make music as a hobby, prob won’t publish/release any of it but it’s fun to imagine. spontaneous meetings with geon in the middle of the night, recording songs together and keeping the WORST takes for the laughs. there’s probably a diss-track of them going in on each other floating around somewhere even though geon can’t rap for shit
night owls who keep him company on the phone, even if they can’t be there physically. them talking really quietly vs geon shouting at them while he plays games LMAO
gaming buddies. come over, maybe you can carry geon through his game of the week or you can both fail but have fun while you’re at it… or you can scream while he fends off that hoard of zombies behind you

oh boy..... the potential here.
jj knows for quite a while that he thinks of pope in a more intimate way than friends usually do but he never does anything to put himself out there, doesn't even bother himself with the fantasy of pope ever liking him back or even swinging that way
he feels like fancying pope, just being able to admire him at all, is a reward all on its own, and he wouldn't dream of putting that i'm your bro but i also really wanna kiss your neck burden on pope's shoulders
so jj just... suffers. but in like, the best way possible. because watching pope smile abt something he had said or being able to tug pope in by the shoulder for a hug is what he lives for at this point, and to have that reality be tainted with cold rejection would damn near kill jj
pope, however, doesn't even really know that he like likes jj. (he has a lot on his mind, give the poor boy a break.) it's just normal to him to throw himself in jj's arms when he sees him at midsummers after jj had gone to jail for him, to lean in closer when jj playfully taps at his mouth with the gun he stole, to be patient and kind with jj when he needs him to be. it's normal for pope like jj without actually acknowledging it.
and so it goes on and on and on- jj's arm over pope's shoulders, jj staring at pope's mouth when he starts to ramble (even though he swears he's still listening), pope making a routine of smoking weed with jj on the beach after dark and leaning into jj because his sides hurt from laughter.
and it just gets worse as days go by. jj's arm around pope's shoulders turns to arms around the waist. smoking weed and laughing on the beach turns to quiet afternoons with long gazes and dazed smiles that neither of them mention. sitting next to each other on the boat turns to sitting right next to each other, shoulders glued together and thighs pressing in against the other's.
and pope just writes it off as this is normal. this is us. this what we do. there's no bigger picture. but pope isn't even looking at the correct picture. the correct picture is so big that pope didn't bother to look at it in the first place, even though that's not him at all. he always takes in every risk, every opportunity because there's no room for error in his life. (but of course jj is the one to show him that there's always room for error)
and jj just writes it off as these are the cards i've been dealt. do the best that i can with it because that's all he's ever been taught to do. so he smiles when he's supposed to, drops his gaze when he's supposed to, steps away from pope when he's supposed to. never crosses any lines that could jeopardize what they already have.
but then one day, jj fucks up and grabs pope's hand. like a fucking idiot. just reaches right over and slides their palms together, intertwines their fingers, rubs his thumb over pope's knuckles. he doesn't even think about it, like it's second nature or something.
as affectionate and touchy as the two of them are, there are some things that they don't do. they've never slept in the same bed. they've never talked about girls together. they've never held hands.
he's laughing about something on the television, smile bright and wide, eyes young and happy. which isn't something that happens all the time because there's always some overcast of tragedy and bitterness and revenge in his eyes
it takes jj's brain a full ten seconds to realize what he's done.
pope's silent as he looks at him; he can feel it, the whole burning sensation on the side of his face. he isn't saying anything but jj can tell that he's thinking it over already
so he carefully untangles his hand from pope's, pulls it back to his lap to cradle it as if it was injured. he's insecure, okay?? nobody else is gonna cradle it.
"shit, sorry man," jj's saying, trying to laugh, trying to smile. because he's sure that that is pope's way of saying no way, and it stings something sharp deep inside his tender heart.
but it isn't like that at all. for the first time in, like, forever, pope's mind is empty, short circuited. he has no idea what to make of this: jj grabbing his hand, jj taking it back, jj being all bashful with his silly apology. he goes through the five stages of grief in a matter of seconds
because all of the sudden, things are fitting into place. like a puzzle pope's been working on for months, things are starting to make sense for him.
jj mouthing something as he watches pope's lips with some strange intensity? gay.
jj taking the fall for pope and then not even expecting pope to pay him back for any of it? gay.
jj holding pope's face like that at the crain house the night they found the gold? gay.
jj getting all blushy and flustered when pope is the one to initiate physical contact? gay.
and none of it is just normal. none of it is just this is the kind of friends we are.
jj's gone back to watching tv, although pope doesn't really think he's paying attention to it because he's chewing on his nails and his eyebrows are furrowed which is a telltale jj sign of worrying.
"jj?" pope asks, slouched back deep into the couch.
jj looks over at him, doesn't say anything. can't say anything. but, bless him, he looks like a child, all scared and wondering if he's earned himself a beating.
pope reaches out slowly, puts a careful hand on the juncture between jj's shoulder and neck. he nods, gives him a Look.
and jj's easing up, letting the tension roll out of his shoulders, turning towards pope, opening himself up like a wound.
and then pope's sitting up, getting close to jj, but slowly because he doesn't want to scare jj off.
pope gently holds jj's face in his free hand, tries not to knock the backwards cap off his head. there's blonde hair sticking out of it over his ears, through the hole in the front, plastered to his forehead. he needs a haircut, but kiara, who is always the one to do it, is away on vacation.
when jj looks adjusted, like he isn't too freaked out by the idea of pope being so close, on purpose and by his own desires, pope leans in, kisses him- soft, easy, tentative. just in case jj wants to pull away and not go back to this.
but jj sighs into his mouth, kisses him right back- just as soft, just as easy, just as tentatively. like this is natural.
pope thinks the tv goes to a commercial break (jj said he was gonna go on a snack run during the next one) but he doesn't say anything.
after a moment, he goes to pull away to catch his breath but jj's putting his hands on pope's face, pulling him in again, kissing him hard.
his head is swimming, and he's grinning against jj's mouth, humming a funny little noise in his throat
it's so much better than kissing kie, and pope means no offense by that. she kissed him out of pity, out of nerves. this is real, this is jj, and it's better than pope could ever imagine. jj's warm mouth on his own, jj's hands holding pope still so he can kiss as much as he wants, jj's chest so close to his own
they kiss until their lips are red and slick with spit, until their chests are heaving, until jj's twisted nearly all the way into pope's lap, until it's dark outside and they're both sleepy
and then they still kiss a lil more

1) Even though Yona was scared out of her mind in this chapter she still was smart enough to keep her poker face in front of Keishuk but this dude flat out confirmed SW's illness to Hak by showing it on his face ? chapter 201 should've been called Moron. Anyway, I really enjoyed what Hak did in this chapter when I'm usually very critical of the character. I think him wanting
“2) to know more and looking for answer were a nice step forward for his character since he usually just wait for Yona which is pointless since she never tells him anything and they have zero communication between them so him just doing his thing was really nice and at least he looked for answer and he didn't stumble upon Keishuk's diary. I can only hope that he does more”
“3) things on his own accord without having to wait for Yona. I can't wait for when SW learns about Hak being thrown in jail next chapter, will he visit him ? Will they finally face one another ? I just think that there is no perfect timing than now for those two, SW misses Hak, and Hak wants answers and above all he wants to move from the anger he still feels for SW”
“I don't want to sound like i'm hating on yona, but it bothered me how she left out the part of what she found out abt soo-won from the diary to hak. even if hak disagrees completely and would never do the same, doesn't mean he can't understand, and would help him have some more insight on why soo-won did what he did. yona also would never betray hak or the dragons for the greater good, and still she was able to understand soo-won, so I think hak could too if he's given the chance to.”
Hello anons, I try to answer these two asks in one go.
I also think that Hak had a nice development in that chapter.
Truth be told, I do think that Kusanagi may try to postpone their conversation into eternity...However I would be positively surprised if Yona actually tells Hak all she knows about Soo Won.
If she wishes that Hak is her partner, he should know the truth...the truth about his former friend whom both knew since their early childhood.
And like the anon, below, I do think that Yona actually underestimates Hak. He is not so dependent anymore on the relationship to Soo Won, but to not understand him better is cruel to him. Cruel, because he does not know if everything they experienced together was a lie.
I mean if you love somebody and that person suddenly betrays you and you don´t know the reason...I think this might be horrible.
(I am at least glad that it finally happened. Somebody was captured because he knew too much...Even though I consider it rather ridiculous, since Soo Won is not the type of person that “gets rid of people so easily.”)
Though maybe Yona is scared how Hak will react if he learns from the “murder of Kashi”. Neither King Il nor Yona have any proof besides their own belief that Yu hon killed her...but I guess this might be sufficient in that series.
I guess Hak did not ask much further because he feared he would hurt her...but they will always spin around the truth without ever touching it.

her name is beatrice maddox ! but her friends/the whole town just calls her triss. hearing her full name just makes her feel like shes in trouble Unless its ava saying it and then shes 😳😳😳😳
shes bi ! aaaaand nobody is surprised in the slightest lmao ! she dated bobby and im ..... considering doing the n/a love triangle route tho i kno nothing abt it. definitely going to end up w ava tho bc i cannae resist
tattoos. EVERYWHERE. a couple are meaningful, but for the most part??? absolutely nonesensical 🥰 her tattoos were very carefully chosen to represent and Symbolize that she is Cool and Bisexual and Hot. thats it ✊
her personality is.... ok im not gonna try with the whole canon stats thing but she's very cheerful ! in a sort of Cool and casual and lighthearted way. maybe a little too lighthearted, almost as if it maybe.... it was a little forced 👀
shes a realist as opposed to an optimist/pessimist , but she tends have an ironic/lighthearted sense of humour that makes her seem a lot more silly than she is i guess? in truth, outside of like surface level warmth and extroversion for the sake of saving face, shes actually very reserved and awkward. i mean, she IS genuinely a very warm person, but theres a lot of darkness she tends to keep very deep inside herself, that virtually nobody has ever rly seen from her. shes the type of person who's GREAT at like, first impressions and having dozens and dozens of amicable aquaintances, but she rly struggles to form close friendships bc shes quite aloof and eccentric, sometimes says stuff that makes her sound callous, keeps a LOT of secrets and... hates opening up to ppl authentically lol! for reasons i'll get into!
she progressed thru her education and career stuff really quickly mostly due to being a gifted child ! obviously tho that means she also has gifted child syndrome lol. while she still excels professionally and on the surface she seems very functional and cheery and put together, her personal life has rly suffered bc of burnout and anxiety nd whatnot. emotionally shes not at the same place as others her age and shes just. very caught up inside her own head i guess and has a LOT of trouble relating to others, tho she's aquaintances/friendly with most everyone in the town. longterm relationships are VERY hard for her.
so. im already editing canon lol which is very on brand for me and it might not work idk !!!! but my lore for her rn is when she was a child, like 8 or 9, she um witnessed a murder/a body being discarded in the woods. it REALLY fucked her up.obviously. she was a kid and alone at the time and when she got home she was so ????????¿¿¿¿¿¿¿ abt it that she didnt tell her parents or let anybody know. at the time she still didnt rly understand what she saw, or at least didnt know how to handle situations like that bc literally Who would, but it still keeps her up at night, and shes still plagued by guilt and fear over it. the murder was never reported and nobody ever discovered anything, so sometimes she convinces herself that what she thinks she saw didnt actually happen ..... she rly doesnt know ! and it scared tf out of her !
that whole deal lead to her becoming uh quite morbid ! she was still a bright happy kid, but death sort of became like.... a n interest of hers, as well as criminals and finding out stuff. im still not sure if her focus is gonna be on detective work primarily or on science, ill maybe decide after my first playthru. anyway she never did anything that was like an actual red flag or anything xbxjsksms but she was just a Weird Girl growing up after that. she'd watch a LOT of true crime and read everything she could get her hands on and absolutely would have annoyed the shit out of all the detectives at the station.
speaking of annoying cops, shes also a reformed Rascal teenager. she was VERY rebellious as a kid, again mostly bc of Trauma, and was basically the loveable bane of wayhaven's existence for a good four years. again, she was mischievous but not in a malicious/dangerous way, but she definitely would have seen the inside of the station's jail cell a few times for like..idk. egging houses, graffiti, maybe weed idk ! just girly things! she ended up mellowing out soon afer highschool but shes still cool enough to have arm sleeve tattoos so u kno she still absolutely passes the vibe check
last point abt the murder but ! that event basically got repressed pretty quickly after it happened, she does not talk about it EVER, not to anybody. literally not a single person on earth knows what happened that day except her and the possibly-not-real-killer. and, while its sort of filed under the "Dont Consciously Think About This Ever" section of her brain, she obviously is haunted by it and has nightmares consistently, and its basically what inspired her to become a detective in the first place. bc its not so much about Seeing it that affected her so much as... not knowing who did it, not knowing what happened, and not being able to stop it. so much of her life after that was spent of Figuring Everything Out as like a coping mechanism, which obviously put a lot of pressure on her and strain on relationships, but it makes for great detectives lmao !
she is a hugely active person and needs constant mental simulation bc she genuinely hates quiet, and being left alone with her thoughts and memories. living alone sucks for her, so she usually has to play music as soon as she gets home, needs to go to sleep w music, needs to drive with music.... and driving is the worst. she sort of.... goes thru life feeling very ghostlike ! like shes living in a verh different world to everyone else. like shes waiting for something terrible to happen in every waking moment - its mostly practice that allows her to hide it with lightheartedness and jokes and deflective warmth, bc otherwise she'd go crazy !

hey folks! i already introduced myself in the ooc blog but * ok go vc * here it goes again. i’m velouria (she/her, 26, est) and i’m supposed to be in school but lol, the world was like this was a bad year to get your shit together girl, try again later. anyways, here’s my first babe hector and the only thing you need to know is that he’s horrible. he’s a horrible, horrible, horny person and i hate him and you should hate him too. but here’s some more details:
content warnings: homelessness, crime, drugs, general bastardness
born in tulsa, oklahoma on november 13th, 1997, hector, surprisingly, came from the most normal suburban beginnings you could imagine. he had two parents, an older sister, dog, cat, and a hamster. he was a rather normal child, though he had a wild independent streak that only got worse as he aged. didn’t play very well with others and would only play simon says if he got to be simon, but was friendly and jovial with those he liked, or wanted something from.
stubborn as a mule, hector was fiercely independent and increasingly selfish. by the time middle school came around, hector created a hierarchy within his group of friends and became a bully around his school, though was more pushy than outright cruel. a very rowdy teen, hector never took anything very seriously and didn’t form attachments in a healthy sort of way, something that’s only worse instead of better now.
while he liked his family well enough, he never felt a strong bond with them. they loved him very much and would try to foster a healthy, loving relationship with him, he was like #nah and spent most of his time out of the house, never telling them what he was doing and where he was going. his father and sister gave up on him, but his mother still held out hope that it was just an incredibly long phase.
barely showing up to school even when it was mandatory, hector’s primary focus was on having a good time. that meant sex, drugs, and copious amounts of partying. scaring little old ladies, taking cars on joyrides. a petty criminal by the age of fifteen, hector has only been in trouble with the law a few times, spending a few weeks in county jail over the weeks but the charges have never stuck. (once he’s out, he’s off to some place new, but it’s only a matter of time before the law finally catches up to him and he’s inside for good.)
his parents didn’t have a chance to kick him out or send him to military school because he straight up bounced by the time he was seventeen. he left one day to a friend’s house and just didn’t come back; he went to a party in oklahoma city, and then just... never thought about going home. hector didn’t stay around okc for very long after that, drifting all over the southwestern states.
out on his own, or rather couch surfing with like-minded individuals, hector got to experience the highest points of pleasure and pain. a full blown hedonist, the only thing that mattered (and matters) to hector was fucking, fighting, stealing, and getting high. basically if you’ve ever seen the movies hellraiser or the doom generation, he’s a mix of frank cotton and xavier red.
though he’s moved around a lot since leaving home, usually staying in a city for three months or so before he’s moving on again, he’s made a bit of a home out of reno, nevada, frequently traveling between reno and las vegas. often just up and leaves without a word, then returns two weeks later as if nothing happened like a neighborhood cat. has spent the last five years or so grifting and lying his way into the hearts and homes of lonely old ladies (and men). infects your house with his presence, gets you to take care of him, and then bounces one night with most of ur silver and jewelry in his backpack.
though he’s not part of any sort of gang, he does revolve in organized crime circles, and mostly makes actual money by boosting cars for the mob in vegas. though he sometimes does ‘freelance’ work for organized crime syndicates and gangs, he’d never join one. hector vc: why have someone tell you what to steal when you can just do it? :)
which all brings him to charming, california. basically run out of town on a rail, he had to leave reno because he heard there was a warrant out for his arrest and lbr he’s pissed off way too many people in nevada. has only been in charming for three days (so far in canon), staying in the highway motel by way of a stolen credit card, but i’ll be putting out a wc for his benefactor; someone he’s conned into letting him stay in their house, putting on the sweet street kid act. don’t believe the act, but also please do.
the biggest thing to know abt hector is that he’s a horny dude. he’s literally always thinking about sex and the second he meets you, he’s thinking about fucking you, no matter how old you are (as long as it’s legal because gross and i would never rp that), if you’re in a relationship/married, or what gender you are. you could be totally into his schtick or think he’s disgusting, it don’t matter. will hit on you, because he knows no other way to interact with people.
tells you what you want to hear. lies as much as he breathes. honestly he’s barely aware of the lies he tells and can’t keep them straight. most of his stories sound like bullshit but a lot of them are true.
big drugs fan. loves him some k! who’s got the weed! shows up to random parties just to finagle his way into getting drugs for free, while also stealing a bunch of meaningless random shit. the one thing you can’t replace - john mulaney.mkv

i mentioned that i’m going to send a wanted connection to the main for hector’s new benefactor (though if your muse is a lonely older person, man or woman, that’s gullible then let me know!!) but here’s some plots stuff we can do
sexual partners: basically hector wants to bang everyone. if you’re up for it, he will fuck you at pretty much any time, but just know that he’s also fucking like five other people and has never been monogamous in his entire damn life.
a girlfriend: okay so i just said he’s never been monogamous but sometimes hector likes to pretend. or rather, he will start using her to get something, likely companionship when he’s bored or access to money/drugs/alcohol, whatever. a place to sleep at night. just something! she’ll probably think they’re more serious than they actually are but hector does actually like her as a person, or she’s trying to get him to be more serious/grow up. this one will occur over time bc he’s new!
enemies: hector is a hard person to like and an easy person to hate. he has very little regard for others and enjoys physical fighting bc it feels good. they can hate him because he screwed them over, cheated on them, cheated on their friend/sibling/whatever, stole something from them, or they just don’t like his smug face.
friends: if your muse likes to party, hector is your man. he basically just lives to have fun. however, his version of fun is kind of scary and dangerous at times. he can be a bad influence on your muse and get them into trouble or they can be a good influence on him.
a close friend/confidant: hector isn’t an emotional person but occasionally he does have moments of vulnerability. when this happens, your muse is the person he comes to when he needs someone to be there for him or needs someone to talk to. your muse could be doing this reluctantly or in hopes that he’ll be there in the same way for your muse, which isn’t very likely but hector will like to pretend lol.

what would happen if aizawa accidentally knocked up izuku in ur perfect victim au?

ideally it wouldnt happen since aiz buys deku plan b whenever he thinks theres a chance he fucked up, but if it did anyway,,,, idk. that would probably be a very panicky disaster for both of them
tw unwanted pregnancy, mentions of abortion
aiz probably keeps pregnancy tests at his house so no one ever catches and questions deku about it, so he’d know right away when deku stumbles out of the bathroom in tears. he just tries to keep deku calm while he thinks over what to do. he tries to hold off on apologizing bc he knows itll probably be counterproductive and make deku feel even more out of control.
of course, deku doesnt want to drop out, so aiz determines the best option is for him to get an abortion. ok. aiz will cover the payment for it. except hospitals need a signature from the inseminating partner or a parent, so once deku is a little more composed aiz goes over all the possible ways to either tell his mom or ask one of his friends to sign it. they’re both at a loss when deku rejects… all of them. he sobs harder at each of aiz’s suggestions, feeling more and more hopeless with each one.
aiz understands what a shitty position hes put deku in and feels….. really guilty. really really guilty. he was.. really trying not to tear him apart so much. he just. tugs him against his chest and tells him he’ll confess so that deku doesn’t have to lie to anyone or be forced to talk about it. deku says no again, and aiz thinks its just because he’s really gotten in his head about it being his fault/overreacting/etc so he tells him it’s his fault that deku got pregnant so he should take responsibility.
eventually it comes out that deku just doesn’t want aiz to go to prison, bc he thinks hes an important hero and teacher, and would feel bad if aiz had to stop doing those things bc of him. aiz’s heart breaks as he realizes this is the kid he’s been hurting. everything he does to try to convince deku that he deserves to go to prison just further convinces him that he doesn’t.
he knows he could just give the kid a few days or weeks to make up his mind, but deku is losing it at this point and aiz worries that he’ll hurt himself if he’s left alone too long.
honestly?? honestly????? i think aiz goes to all might, because he’s too close to this to really help deku himself. just straight up tells him “i raped and knocked up midoriya.”

the only reason all might doesnt beat him within an inch of his life is bc he tells him dekus up in his room crying and really needs his help.
through a (EXTREMELY RELUCTANT ON ALL MIGHTS PART) combined effort, they comfort deku and try to assure him its not his fault. i think for a little bit they try to convince him its ok if aizawa goes to jail, but eventually realize that it’ll take too long for him to come to terms with that and switch tracks to something else.

deku doesnt say any names when he tells todo everything, but tells him not to worry abt who hurt him bc all might already knows. obviously todo agrees to help him and gives the hospital his signature as the inseminating partner. aiz gives deku all the time off he needs to recover physically and emotionally, and everything else probably goes the same way as Well, Nobody Is Perfect, with all might protecting deku from aiz and all that (though tbh i dont think aiz would touch him again after that anyway sdifjsdf) except instead of iida being the person whos constantly at dekus side its todoroki.
