The fifth season SHOULD have been about the whole gang learning how to live again, how to go back to their normal lives and buy the grocery’s or go school or work and talk to other normal people, it should have been about them struggling to recover, learning how to sleep again, how to relax, that they don’t need to sleep with a weapon handy just in case, we should have been able to see them try desperately to fix their relationships so many of which were built on necessity and make them healthier, find other things they have in common, do normal things together like watching movies instead of fighting for their lives. The season should have been about them, about the long term emotional impact but also the hope to recover eventually. I would have loved just to be able to watch them interact and help each other and move on.

But it’s going to be about them fighting so big bad guy and stancy ig which is cool too

the genre of ao3 comments that cracks me up the most is when a reader sets down like an essay about The Obvious Flaws in a POV character’s perspective when like half the point of the fic is how messy and complicated the no-win situation of canon actually is
