“how did i get here? i had everything in order. my whole life was in perfect order” really was crazy considering that was .. simply not true but. if i said that ‘in perfect order’ means something very specific to lawrence
if i said that, for lawrence, order is being able to maintain the facade of being the perfect family man, the doctor with certificates on his office wall and a wedding band on his finger, the guy who also attempts to pursue an affair with another woman because he’s desperately trying to convince himself of .. something
creating this narrative around himself and making sure everything he thinks he is or wants to be is maintained in little boxes, meticulously organised to the point that it’s falling apart in front of his eyes and it’s still ‘in perfect order’, it’s still preferable to the alternative .. having to face himself. and then ! well then he wakes up locked in a room with his choices that led to this point laid bare
chained up with no way out as he’s suddenly forced to confront it all, a front row seat as the careful persona he’s built crumbles before his eyes when the man opposite him pulls out a bunch of photos. lawrence, who’s so careful to only be perceived in a very specific way, who presents himself as this guy he’s created, is suddenly faced with someone he can’t hide from, someone who’s seen at least partly beneath the exterior and developed it in black and white. lawrence, who claims that he’s never in photos, suddenly being faced with this reality of himself being captured in the flash of adam’s camera

Saying this as sb who loves drawing Alistair with visibly pointy ears to spite bioware's "elf genes are always recessive" bullshit, but canonically i do think it makes much more sense for him to look fully human.
Except, maybe the children in the monastery made fun of the new kid's jug ears. Or maybe Ferelden's king is known for his unusually vibrant and shiny eyes. Or maybe his fellow Wardens grumble jealously at their commander's effortless agility.
He is a Grey Warden though, so an oddity or two are to expected, of course

i like to think charlie was just really annoying about the events of episode 8 for a while. whenever he has to do something he doesn’t want to he’s like remember what happened last time you forced me to do something? and he always uses the excuse ‘cmon i was literally born like yesterday’ for absolutely anything even when it’s been like half a year since it happened

I keep vacillating wildly between "my chronic illness is generally well controlled and with a little additional effort I can maintain my body for decades to come at a reasonable level of activity with minimal damage" and "my entire body is going to break down in the next ten years and I will lose the ability to do all things I love and my life will be an empty, exhausting, painful void" and I absolutely do not know how to remain realistic and positive on a consistent basis

i lied. i dont actually like sex. put your clothes back on. im going to explain to you how one weird little kid changed the lives of tons of people for the better and at the end of of the series everyone he's helped and changed comes back to help him and return the favor. Let me explain to you the parallels between each of their arcs with the last few episodes. Let me tell you about how his brother finally realizes that it was all him. Every part of that kid is him and they all need to learn to live with it and accept and love him and help him not repress himself because that's what caused the problem in the
first place. Let me rant about how his friend/one-sided rival uses what he said when they first met back to him. (about not using powers to hurt other people) Let me scream about how the friend's first fight with him and last fight are direct parallels. Let me scream about how he shows how much that boy has changed him by opting to protect civilians instead of himself. I'm going to tell you about how after the former terrorist he saved finally realizes that instead of sacrificing himself to save the city he should survive and be there for his son and try to make amends and continue to be better. Let me talk about how even though the people he works out with KNOW that really they're no match for him and they don't really know what's going on, they still try to help him anyways. Because they're friends. That's what friends do and they love him. They just want to support him in every way they can. Let me scream and cry about how his mentor, the man he's known the longest, the man he trusts the most in the world finally admits that he lied to him and he's been lying to him and he finally tells the truth and that's exactly what that boy needs. He needed the truth. It shocked him back to reality, and everyone he's talked to up until that point, INCLUDING HIMSELF, shows him that everyone loves him, and they all accept him, the only problem is that he's unable to accept himself. He's been refusing to forgive himself since he was a little kid for something he didn't even mean to do, and he's been repressing and hiding important parts of himself because he's afraid. And he doesn't need to be afraid because he has people that are there for him and they all love him. LET ME THROW THE BIGGEST FIT YOUVE EVER SEEN WHILE I EXPLAIN TO YOU JUST HOW IMPORTANT THAT TALK BETWEEN HIM AND THE PART OF HIMSELF HES BEEN TRYINF TO REPRESS IS AND HOW MUCH IT CHANGED HIM. HE FINALLY ACCEPTS HIMSELF FOR WHO HE IS AND HES FINALLY ABLE TO FORGIVE HIMSELF AND MOVE ON AND GROW

[I just had the random urge to make Nabooru taller (I currently have her at 6'0") just because. But I also don't want to because the idea of her being on the short side for a Gerudo tickles me (I know botw/totk seem to make them a BUNCH taller, but I HC the average height for a Gerudo is like 6'5" to 6'6"...which is still very tol but not eight feet tall like one Gerudo claimed she was lmao). It also makes the height difference of Nabs and Gan more noticeable and I'm a sucker for height differences, even if this is the favorite where the woman is taller than the man it's still funny to meeee.
But idk. I feel like she should be taller? MEH. I'm just rambling here. I'm probably not going to change a thing 🤣]

Thinking about every time someone criticised me or acted like I was stupid over something that they were wrong about or didn't wait long enough to hear my explanation of and made assumptions about what I was saying. Exploding them all a hundred times. And I cant even bring it up yo clarify without looking petty and pathetic (because I am petty and pathetic)

It will be a complete mystery to me why DMC5 men look average looking compared to the women. In other series such as Resident Evil, and Mortal Kombat that use face models. The men in those games look good? In DMC5, it's mixed opinion. Some of the angles look good for them but some look terrible. Maby these hair styles just don't look in photorealism.
DMC is known for it's over the top action and I think photorealism doesn't blend with that. It makes the visuals soulless. I do think DMC4 graphics were best in the series but it's a shame we're be stuck with photorealism for future installments.
