I saw dinosaurs and immediately thought of Jurassic Park. As most people would.” “What’s Jur--” “Ahhh!” Sam has one finger up. “Uh-uh, no way. I heard you quoting Goldblum earlier, I know you’ve seen Jurassic Park. That isn’t the point.” Bucky wants to point out that “life, uh, finds a way” is not necessarily a Jeff Goldblum-specific quote, but he also knows that pointing this out would mean admitting that he has, in fact, seen Jurassic Park. “What is the point?” he asks instead. Sam is making that face he makes when he’s holding back a rant, trying to figure out the best approach to get his point across without losing his audience. Steve and Sam both have chronic three dimensional chess brain, but Sam’s is always playing to win the argument in front of him, and Steve was always playing to win a war that maybe only existed in his head. “Can I ask you something?” Sam says at last.
