Mornings with Feyd are a struggle for one reason and one reason alone. Your husband despises it when you leave your shared bed. And it’s gotten even worse since Dr. Suk confirmed your delicate condition. Your and Feyd’s tireless efforts at conceiving a child have finally borne fruit. You’re pregnant, only two months from delivery now, in fact. You feel his arm wrapped around you, his hand caressing your growing belly. You smile at how protective he is of you and the little one, even in his sleep. And when you try to move out from under his arm, he lets out a low, annoyed hiss, almost like a cat that’s had its ball of yarn taken away from it.
“Stay.”
His words are a low rasp, one that has you smiling to yourself as you struggle to sit up, “It’s time for breakfast, my love.”
You bite back the moan building in your throat as he moves his hand lower, to the apex between your thighs, his breath hot against your ear as he murmurs, “But I have such a sweet little treat right here…”
You turn to face him, giving him a light swat against his bare chest. Not for the first time, you’re blown away by just how handsome your husband is, your heartbeat quickening at the sight of his angular face, those intense eyes peering at you, half-lidded with sleep. You lean in to press a kiss against his temple, moving your lips to brush against his jaw next.
“Good morning, my husband,” you breathe against his lips, feeling him smile against you.
You watch as Feyd sits up, his hand moving to your stomach, caressing it as he smiles gently, an expression that he reserves only for you, “How do you feel this morning?”
“Sleepy,” you admit, “My back was sore last night. It took me a while to fall asleep.”
“Why didn’t you wake me?” Feyd frowns, his hand moving to rest against your lower back, the gesture making your heart warm, “I could’ve stayed awake with you.”
“You were sleeping so peacefully…”
Feyd presses a finger to your lips, silencing you with a stern look, “Next time you experience even the slightest discomfort, I want you to wake me, little one.”
You roll your eyes, taking his hand in your own and pressing a kiss to his fingertip, smiling mischievously, “As you wish, my Lord Feyd.”
The serious expression on his face melts into something far more tender, a soft smile gracing his features as he leans in to press a kiss to your lips. Feyd lifts the fabric of your nightgown, pressing a kiss to your stomach next, whispering to the life growing inside of you.
“Good morning, little Leto.”
You beam at Feyd, pleased that he’s agreed to name your son after your beloved father. He chuckles as you pull him into another kiss, your lips moving desperately against his as he pulls you into his lap. It hasn’t escaped Feyd’s notice how much you seem to long for him in this vulnerable state, whether it be his protection, his affection, or the pleasure he’s content to give to you any morning, noon, or night. At this moment, it seems you’re interested in the latter, judging by how eagerly you’re palming at him over the fabric of his sleeping pants. Feyd shakes his head, grinning at you.
“Eager, wanton little baroness.”
“Cruel, selfish baron,” you pout, “Your wife requires your touch. Your care. She carries your son inside her womb and even now you seek to deny her?”
Feyd shakes his head, laying back and gazing up at you as you straddle his waist. You pull your nightgown over your head, baring your body to him. Your breasts are fuller than they were a few months ago, the sight of which has Feyd’s mouth watering. The sight of your swollen belly and the realization that it’s his child that grows inside of you has his cock growing painfully hard as you rub yourself against him. He moves his hands to caress your hips, moving down to your ass, giving you a playful slap as you ease yourself onto his cock. He lets out a low groan, rolling his hips against yours as you bounce up and down on him.
“You look so beautiful,” Feyd mumbles, his voice hazy with lust as he stares up at you, “Like a goddess. You ought to let me have a shrine built to you.”
“Only if you have one built for yourself beside me,” you murmur, brushing your lips against his with a smile, your hands resting on his chest, feeling each breath, the way each muscle moves, “My sweet, handsome husband. My lord.”
Feyd sits up on his elbows, taking one of your breasts in his mouth, suckling eagerly, letting your milk flow onto his tongue, the sweet taste making him eager for more. His lips are greedy, teeth nipping at your sensitive flesh as you continue bouncing up and down on his cock, feeling him hit the spot inside you that your fingers can never quite reach. When the flow from your right breast stops, he moves to your left, his palm moving up to squeeze and soothe you.
You reach your peak as he mouths at your breast, his hand holding your hips in place as he continues to take his fill, rutting up against you over and over and over until he spills himself inside you, watching his spend leak from your swollen cunt. But, he doesn’t seem to want this lazy morning together to be over.
“Sit on my face, little one,” Feyd rasps, pulling you in gently by the hips, “Let me taste you.”
You move up to do as he asks, rubbing your pearl against his nose as he laps at you eagerly, hands grasping at your thighs as you ride his face, the mixture of your arousal and his tasting tart yet not unpleasant on his tongue. Feyd thinks he could die a happy man like this, feasting on your sweet cunt, but he knows you would slap his chest and scold him if he ever said such a thing. That you’d threaten him if he ever even thought of dying before you. Perhaps the two of you will die together, he muses as you squeal his name, your thighs tremble as your fingers move against your swollen bud. Your bodies buried together on Giedi Prime, laid to rest in each other’s arms for all eternity. It’s macabre, but Feyd can’t think of anything more romantic.
After you reach your peak, Feyd is surprised when you move off of him, cuddling up against his side, pressing featherlight kisses along his jaw. You trace the tip of his nose, his cheekbones, down his chin to his neck, just smiling at him serenely. His breath catches in his throat at the tenderness in your touch, the genuine love in your eyes as you continue pressing kisses to his neck. His hand moves to your cheek, cupping it gently, his voice barely above a whisper as he speaks.
“I don’t know what I ever did to deserve you.”
You beam at him, radiant as ever, glowing as a woman in love does, “Oh, Feyd… It’s me who doesn’t deserve you. Let’s stay in bed a little longer, like you wanted.”
His heart soars as he wraps you in his arms, cherishing this moment where it’s only the two of you.

i feel asleep on my phone tryna marathon dorm mate sukuna and the literal first thing i did when i woke up was to finish it all! girl you just made a drug.
more dorm mate sukuna i beeeg you!
Dorm mate Sukuna: your part time job
A/N: STOPPP that’s so sweet! I’m happy to fuel your new addiction 🤭 I know this is nothing to do with what you requested but I had a funny thought about part time jobs so I indulged in my own silly thoughts lol enjoy! <3
Tumblr media
Now being a uni student isn’t all sunflowers and daisies. You got to work part time to earn that extra money.
And now you made Sukuna mad because how many times does he have to tell you you don’t need to work?! “Why work when I told you I’ll buy you anything you want?” He says, grumbling when he realises how much of a simp he sounds like.
But hey, your money is your money and his money is also your money right? ;)
Sukuna definitely drives you to work. Right in front of the store too. He’s not letting his precious girl out in the ghetto like that.
But as you say your goodbyes and try to open the car door, you find it’s locked. “Kuna? Open the door”
“No” he says, taking a puff on his cigarette, his muscular tatted arm sticking out the window so the smoke doesn’t go into your face.
“What do you mean no? Open the door Suk-“
He grabs your chin with his other arm and looks at you unimpressed. “Why do you have the fucking audacity to leave when you haven’t given me a kiss huh?” He says, completely serious and pissed off.
But you can’t help but let out the laugh you’ve been holding in, you lean into his big rough hands as you continue to giggle. And he tries his best to keep his straight face but it’s kinda hard when you’re being so fucking cute and kissable.
He gives in to his impulsive thoughts as he stroked your rosy cheeks with his thumb.
“Silly girl” he says with a lovesick grin as he grabs your face and roughly presses a kiss to your lips. You kiss him back with a hum, unable to get enough of your overprotective perv boyfriend.
“You love me so much don’t you” you tease as you pull away. He shakes his head in annoyance but he fails to hide the amused smile on his face.
“Get out you rat” he says playfully as he unlocks the door and you finally leave with an evil laugh.
He doesn’t stop there though, he’ll turn up after your shift ends, casually placing your favourite drink on the counter while a cigarette hangs from the corner of his mouth. “hurry up doll”.
He’ll be glaring down your 41 yr old colleague who is your sworn enemy, and no, he won’t hesitate to kick her bad leg if she tries to tell you how to do your job again 🫢
He’ll sit down manspread across a chair and table as he waits for you in silence, his lazy red eyes admiring you from a distance while puffing his smoke. And although you think it’s the cutest thing in the world, your colleagues can’t help but stare in fear at the pink haired thug, who just sits there, ‘menacingly’ according to them.
Finally once you’re ready to leave, he’ll stand up and silently offer his muscular arm, a hint for you to wrap your hands around his arm. And once you finally do, he happily takes his sweet girl back to the dorm.
“C’mon little one, you got another night shift with me now” he teases, making your ears burn in embarrassment as you watch everyone’s jaw drop.

Anything For You (Sukuna x Reader)
WARNING: None? Angst. Feeling emotional
Tumblr media
Usually its you who's the talkative one in the relationship; you always talk about your day, a video you saw and the random cat that followed you when you went shopping. However today it was different, Sukuna noticed how lost you looked all day.
You haven't annoyed him with early morning kisses, you haven't got out of bed as early as you Usually do, you woke up silence just quietly going about your day. Sukuna raised a brow when you took your coffee mug and went back to sit at the dining table; you Usually would chat with him all morning even when he was showering and getting ready for work.
He pulled out his phone and texted his boss that he had a "Family emergency" and that he won't be attending his work today which his boss didn't mind since Sukuna never missed a day in work.
He made his way to you and sitting next to you at the dining table watching you drinking your coffee looking at the wall ahead, "I was thinking we should go shopping today, we haven't in a long time, hum?" He asked snapping you out of you thoughts. "What about work? Are you not going to work today?" You asked confused. He shrugged, "I took a day off now go get ready I'm taking you shopping." He said taking another sip of his drink, you nodded before drinking your coffee and going back to your shared room.
In the shower you were awfully quiet; Usually you'd be singing a random song that was heard throughout the house but now you just stood under the shower eyes shut thinking about nothingness. Sukuna entered the bathroom, "Sweetie are you done?" He would call you that only when you were upset or mad at him; you didn't notice that so you pulled the shower curtain away a bit, "Yes, hand me the towel Darling." He nodded and handed you the towel then left.
You called him Darling which means you are not mad at him. He made sure to complement you once you were ready, in your pink floral dress, "you look stunning, is this the hair clip I got you from Malaysia?" You nodded happily when he kissed your head noticing the butterfly clip. He smiled, "cute, you look so cute. Let's go, where do you wanna go first? The mall?"
You nodded holding his hand, it wasn't long before you started to go back to the quiet mood, three hours into shopping you would zone out while Sukuna would be talking. He just watched looking out of place so he decided to head home, usually you would rush to kitchen to cook for him, you weren't the best at it but you tried however today you simply went to fall on the couch your eyes closed, Sukuna started to get worried. You were acting not like yourself, he decided to order some food before kneeling infront of you trying to meet his gaze with your lost eyes, you smiled small when your eyes met his, he placed a gentle hand on your head that was it for you.
Tears stand to stream down your eyes rapidly it took Sukuna out of surprised as you sat up on the couch sobbing while covering your face trying to stop your tears from falling but they won't stop, Sukuna jumped to your side holding your face in his hands as you sobbed, he pulled you closer, "hey, hey there what's wrong, Baby? Why are you so upset?" He asked rubbing your back making you cry even more shaking your head, "I-I don't know, I don't k-know w-why I'm so sad and it's sc-scaring me Suk-sukuna," you cried in his chest as he tried his best to calm you down.
"I got you, I'm here sweetheart, it's okay, shhh." He kissed your head over and over as you cried in his arms, he really hated seeing you upset but he knew that random emptiness you'd feel, he knew the feeling all too well; so he let you cry out until you couldn't anymore but by then you felt sleepy, he kissed your head before helping you wash your face and removing your make-up while you sat on the toilet seat, you watched him silently as he did your skincare routine; he didn't miss a step. After you were done he helped you change into comfy clothes, by then the food arrived. He knew you wanted to sleep but you had to eat first.
He sat next to you as he feed you with his own hands and caressing your cheeks every other minute and you smiled at him, "thank you for taking care of me." He smiled at you words, "I'll do anything for you sweetheart." You beamed at his words, "even get me an ice cream? I want an ice cream," you pouted and he laughed nodding, "anything your heart wants is my command, we'll get you your ice cream but after dinner." You smiled wide taking a mouthful bite of the pasta he feed you.

Poll time!
Watching W reminded me of two things (1) how much I adore Lee Jong Suk dramas and (2) how much freaking suffering man likes to do in them. So, a poll:
OK, now the explanation part.
Secret Garden - he's a hipster composer with unrequited crush on delightful himbo superstar Oska. Honestly, not getting that fine piece of man is indeed a tragedy. Here is Oska hauling off our composer and is all "you are not leaving, kid," not helping that crush one bit:
Tumblr media
I Hear Your Voice - serial killer offed his dad and almost offed him when he was little, has ability to hear everyone's thoughts that he cannot turn off, same serial killer is now gunning for him (or just turning him into killer), is a high school kid with hopeless (or is it? :P) crush on decade older prosecutor, accidentally stabs her once, loses his memory etc etc. A great time is NOT had by all. But it is had by me.
Tumblr media
Doctor Stranger - stuck in North Korea as a kid, forced to perform human experiments as a doctor for years, has to kill his OTP's dad to save her, believes his OTP died (twice), hunted by NK goon squads etc etc. My pick, tbh.
Tumblr media
W Two Worlds - his family killed and he's convicted for their deaths, after he gets out eventually discovers he's a fictional character and fights to keep free will and oh, a killer who literally is inhuman narrative is hunting him and the woman he loves across worlds.
Tumblr media
While You Were Sleeping - childhood trauma, present day psycho fixating on him (why ARE his characters psycho catnip?), an almost fatal stabbing now and then...just a routine life of a prosecutor.
Tumblr media
Romance Is a Bonus Book - for once he decided to take a break from whumptown. Ummm...a romcom with no blood is a form of suffering for angst lovers? (There is no pic as there is no gut wounds, sorry.)
Big Mouth - framed for something he didn't do, convicted and has to cope in jail full of psychopaths who go after him, stuck in a lunatic asylum and tortured, and after all of that, his wife dies. Go big or go home.

Dr Cha - who’s watching?
I have been enjoying the Kdrama, Dr Cha, starring Uhm Jung-Hwa as a woman, Cha Jeong Suk, in her late 40s who, after a health scare, returns to her residency to become a fully certified doctor in South Korea.
As a (much) older viewer, who has also had to reinvent myself more than once from wife/mother into various professional roles, I find the plot line (while obviously over-the-top for comic effect) pretty realistic. I have to wonder when I read reactions that say she should “just”
divorce her no-good husband
start an affair with the second lead
‘throw hands’ at another woman
make any move that doesn’t fit with her personality, upbringing, or culture
Who is watching this show?
Clearly the people I am seeing reactions from are young. They don’t understand how much a woman can become identified with her roles as a wife and a mother. Some of that is personal - some of us lean into that role more than others. Some of it is cultural - why do you think so many of the women in Cha Jeog Suk’s life counsel her to stay in her marriage at first? Because they know how little an unmarried, divorced woman is valued in society. At least her unmarried friend, Baek Mi Hee, has money and therefore status. She is also lonely and wants what Jeong Suk has, even if it isn’t perfect.
In a divorce, Cha Jeong Suk is not guaranteed “95%” of the family finances, as I saw one reviewer proclaim. I don’t know what the divorce laws are like for family or community property in Korea, but I can guarantee you Dr Cha will be worse off financially if she divorces. Even in North America, most women lose financially. Yes, I’m sure you know of someone who “had to give everything to his bitch of a wife in a divorce.” Statistically, that is unusual, no matter what Men’s Rights Groups want you to believe.
Seo In Ho, the husband, has all the power in the family - he inherited money, his mother controls the money, he makes more money. Until after her surgery, Dr Cha had never used his credit card. What does that tell you? Once she goes back to work as a resident she would make some money, yes. I can guarantee it would not be enough to retain the house her husband would still own, or live the life she had been living. If it were, she wouldn’t have moved in the hospital residence.
Divorce is a difficult, complicated issue. It represents a complete failure of her whole adult life. She was young - early 20s - when she had Jung Min and got married. She stayed in medical school in spite of having a baby until Jung Min and her mother were in a car accident - perhaps when he was about 7? Then she had another child the same year her husband was in a program in the US, met his 1st love, had an affair, got her pregnant and came back to Korea. Irang and Eun Seo were born the same year - they are now 16 or 17. She stayed home for 20 years making a home and bringing up her children to be good people, which, in spite of some childish behaviour on the part of the literal children, they have become.
So asking for and planning for a divorce should take some time, don’t you think? It means rejecting her whole life - admitting that EVERYTHING she has worked for was a lie.
Having an affair with Dr. Roy Kim? He is a good person (which is why he is careful about how he deals with her) and she is a little overwhelmed with shit right now. He saved her life (and is very good-looking, and pays attention to her when her husband doesn’t) - she must wonder if any feelings she has are real. She constantly rejects Mi Hee’s hints that he is into her. She ‘builds rapport’ by being there for him when his personal journey goes badly - and she must feel so grateful to be able to repay him a tiny bit for everything he has done for her - but she doesn’t have the space or the time to work out how she’s feeling about him, and anything she decides now could be a disaster down the road. And I’m not sure she is that interested in sex at the moment either - she’s been 10 years without, and she probably thinks she’s over that stage of her life. (It happens. Our sex drive fluctuates through life. A lot.)
Getting into a physical altercation with another woman? Does that seem like Jeong Suk? She is angry throughout most of this show (14 of 16 episodes down), and so far has only thrown a coffee pot and a bracelet. Besides, whether she wants to or not, she feels for Choi Seung Hi, the other woman in this story. She thought her husband was worth giving things up for too, for a long time. She rightly puts most of the blame on him, although she would still like Dr Choi to leave the hospital!
Finally, it amazes me that people watch shows deeply rooted in a different culture, with different philosophical roots and ways of seeing the world, and demand that the plot conform to their own narrow understanding. North American/white Protestant values are not the norm worldwide. Watching Korean dramas (and I am quite new to this) shows how often Confucian or Buddhist thinking underpins everything, even when the characters themselves are neither. The cultures are steeped in a way of seeing, a way of moving through the world. It’s important to step back and try to see that. Isn’t learning more about the way other people experience life the point of all fiction?
TL/DR - I just had to say all of this. I may have written some of this plot differently, but I am not mad about how it is unfolding. So far, it holds together for me. If Dr Cha decides not to go through with the divorce, for example, I will feel sad for her, but not angry at the writers. I know lots of women who would make the same choice. And choosing to be alone if she does divorce Seo In Ho also would make sense to me. As my grandmother said when she was widowed, “Why would I want to wash someone else’s socks again?” Being alone is not punishment. It can be freedom.

Hoodude x GN!Reader
Tumblr media
Request: anonymous
TW: none just pure fluff :)
Summary: reader and Hoodude both had stressful days. Hoodude goes over to reader’s house after school and they comfort wach other while watching cheesy romance movies.
Word count: 411
A/N: i actually became quite fond of this ngl. It turned out shorter than I imagined but it’s still really cute!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It was a long and stressful day after school when I heard a knock at the door. It must’ve been Hoodude. I invited him over after the two of us not being in the best mood, I thought it would cheer him up.
I got up to open the door and saw the familiar voodoo doll and let him inside.
“Hey, Y/N,” he started saying. His happy aura wasn’t the same as it usually was.
“Hey, Hoodude,” I said letting him in.
We went into the living room and sat on the couch. I put my head on Hoodude’s shoulder feeling the weight of all my stress leave my body.
“You okay?” I asked him. I moved my head to look at him and he gave a weary smile, different than his usual cheeky smile that made me giggle.
“I’m okay just a long day. What ‘bout you?”
“Eh… long day, failed a test… other than that it wasn’t that bad. It could’ve been worse, y’know?”
“Yeah, it still suks though. You’ll do better next time!”
“Hope so. Hey, Hoodude?”
“Yeah?”
“Wanna watch a couple of movies?”
“Heck yeah!”
He got up and grabbed the remote before sitting back down to say, “What do you wanna watch? 1600 Candles, Clawless, the Breakfast Chamber…”
“Hmm… What about West Side Scary?”
“Ooo yes! That sounds like a good idea. Want popcorn?”
“I got it!” I said getting up. I went into the kitchen and made some popcorn before coming back to sit next to him. He gave a real big smile and put his arm around me as he put the movie on.
For a while, we sat there concentrating on the movie until both our attention spans couldn’t just sit quietly. Hoodude and I would add our own little excprets and singing along to the movie. When the credits came rolling I completely forgot about how bad of a day I had.
“Hey,” I said standing up and stretching my back out, “thank you for coming over. I know you had a stressful day too but I had fun.”
“Of course! I had fun too.” He got up and gave me a big hug before kissing my forehead.
“Wanna sleep over and watch another movie?” I asked looking up at him.
“Is there any way I could say no?” He gave me a huge smile and sat on the couch before pulling me down to cuddle. We put on a nother movie and fell asleep.
5 Reasons Why You Should Watch A Killer Paradox: K-Drama Review
Tumblr media
A Killer Paradox has become a hot topic among K-Drama lovers for the past few days. Choi Woo Shik’s powerful comeback has left a chaos among his fans as well as among the K-Drama lovers.
That soft, cute lover from Our Beloved Summer has successfully transformed into a cold-blooded serial killer in A Killer Paradox. He brutally murders the ones who have a past of tormenting innocent people. But the best thing about it all is that he doesn’t need to run a background research on who to kill.
Lee Tang, Choi Woo Shik’s character, possesses a superpower that tells him who to kill. And whenever he kills someone, evidence vanishes one way or another. Isn’t that amazing? But that’s not all. There are a lot of other reasons why you should invest your time in watching A Killer Paradox.
And in today’s blog, I present you with:
5 Reasons why you shouldn’t miss A Killer Paradox
1. Not a single boring episode
Tumblr media
One thing I absolutely loved about A Killer Paradox is the flow of the drama. Nothing here feels like it has been forced into the plot to keep the flow going. It flows completely naturally. One after another, the victims appear in Lee Tang’s (Choi Woo Shik) life and he finds a reason to kill them and somehow after murdering them he finds out that they didn’t ever deserve to live in the first place.
There are only 8 episodes but you never feel any of those were out of place of any of those over or under-shown anything. There was a perfect amount of thrill and mystery to make sure you were being entertained thoroughly.
2. Praise-worthy performance of the actors
Tumblr media
Now coming to the second reason, I will have to praise the performance of each of the actors. Choi Woo Shik is still himself, an Oscar winning actor, but I will be praising the entire cast of the drama. Son Suk Ku, who played detective Jung Nan Gam, held up the quality of the drama even more efficiently. Another actor that I need to talk about is Lee Hee Joon, who played Song Chon. His character will be the one to hold you in your place till the end of the drama, that’s my promise.
All in all, A Killer Paradox has become successful because the characters and the actors were perfectly capable of holding on to the plot and essence of the drama till the very end without slipping off even for a bit.
♡ 친구, 내 남자친구 — CHOI HYUNSUK
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
hyunsuk x fem!reader | wc : 0.6k words | content : possible grammar and spelling mistakes, lowercase intended, established relationship, slight arguments, mild angst, fluff, affectionate kisses | loki’s lines : just a little fyi that chingu means friend or a person of the same age, and namjachingu means boyfriend while yeojachingu means girlfriend! | request : ah, reading the noona series, can i suggest something inspired by that? i'd love to see stablished relationship reader x hyunsuk with him slightly jealous that everyone else gets to call reader noona. i can't stop thinking about how the dynamic must be with him being the only 90s baby of the group. (shortened to preserve the plot!)
Tumblr media
“noona!”
that simple word was something hyunsuk came to hate after hearing how often it was used at the dorms whenever you visited him. noona this, noona that. he hated how all your attention would shift from him to whichever member was calling for you.
just one ‘noona’ and it was like they had some hold over you, making you drop everything you were doing to see why they needed you.
“yeah, coming!” you yelled, sending your boyfriend an apologetic smile. “i’ll be right back, babes.”
hyunsuk had enough experience with this situation of you “being right back”. he knew it was at least another solid fifteen minutes before you’d return. and just like he had expected, you came twenty-three minutes later, sporting your infamous smile.
“you are the best!” you peppered hyunsuk’s face with kisses, noting he hadn’t continued watching the movie. “also, i think doyoung needs a tutor. he sucks at math.”
the blond chuckled at your comment, nodding to himself. “why don’t you tutor him, then?” he suggested. “you spend more time with them than you do with me, anyway.” those words let you know your boyfriend was being sarcastic.
“suk, come on–”
“noona!” junghwan came running into the room, his smile ever-so-bright. “ooh, seoul vibe? can i watch you guys, noona?”
hyunsuk only smiled in response, as if to prove a point. “i mean, i’m right here too, but i guess just ask your noona, right?” his sarcasm went unnoticed by the youngest, only huffing when junghwan made himself comfortable between the two of you.
you opened your mouth to say something — anything, really — but hyunsuk played the movie, stopping you from uttering another word. there wasn’t anything you could do except smile guiltily, not wanting junghwan to be in the middle of whatever banter you and hyunsuk were having.
a two-hour movie had never felt longer as you waited for it to end so you could talk to your boyfriend. as soon as the movie ended, hyunsuk walked out of the room and you followed, after apologizing to junghwan for the lack of interaction.
“hyunsuk!” you called for the male, sighing in relief as he stopped in his tracks upon hearing your voice. “let’s talk this out, okay? please?”
“what’s there to talk about, y/n?”
“i don’t know. you tell me, hyunsuk.”
the blond paused for a moment, wondering how he was going to start. “in short, well, i find it annoying that the others get to call you noona. call me jealous if you will, but yeah. that’s my problem,” he explained, shocking you.
you never would’ve guessed that this was his issue. you always thought he liked the fact you two were of the same age.
“i never thought about that,” you admitted, your voice quiet. “are you not happy with me being your chingu?”
hyunsuk shook his head, frowning when he saw your pout. “no, no, it’s not like that. it’s just … this is different,” he muttered, realising his argument was quite childish. “when the others call you ‘noona’, it’s just like some sort of magic word. you give all your attention when you hear that word.”
you smiled at his explanation, reaching out to hold the blond’s hands. softly placing kisses on the back of his hands, you leant forward, slowly pecked his lips, a look of adoration on your face as you looked at him.
“well, i’m glad you are my chingu … my namjachingu.”
choi hyunsuk’s cheeks turned fifty shades of pink, flattered how you knew exactly what to say to make him feel better. hearing that one line was enough to clear his jealousy, and he mimicked your actions before repeating your words.
“i’m very lucky to have you as my chingu too, y/n … my yeojachingu!”
[TRANS] Last Fantasy Album and Song Introductions
Tumblr media
ALBUM INTRODUCTION
IU, who filled the whole world with ‘Good Day’ last year, is finally coming back with a new album for her fans. IU's new album [Last Fantasy] is a full-length album that she has released 2 years after her 1st album [Growing Up] and this album was produced by Cho Young-chul, who created the ‘IU Syndrome’ last year. Producer Cho Young-chul focused on approaching and expressing IU's musicality in more diverse ways through this album.
The meaning behind the title of the new album, [Last Fantasy], is that the album depicts all the thoughts, imaginations, and fantasies of IU as she looks upon the beginning of her 20s, in this moment at the end of her teenage years and the album contains various sides of IU that music fans want from her through her songs. This 2nd full-length album, which contains a total of 13 songs, attracts much attention with the participation of the best musicians and composers in Korea. Musicians who need no further explanation, including Kim Kwang-jin, Yoon Sang, Jung Jae-hyung, Lee Juck, Kim Hyung-seok, Jung Suk-won, Kim Hyun-chul, Yoon Jong-shin, Lee Min-soo, Corinne Bailey Rae, G. Gorilla, and Ra.D, all participated in IU's full-length album.
As this is IU’s first full-length album in a long time, she put in all her efforts and sincerity from many different angles, to make the album more perfect. In addition to putting her own self-composed song on the album, IU participated in writing the lyrics for a number of songs, showing a more mature side to her musical sensibility and carefully considered what the right tone would be for each song, as she did her best to improve the completion of the album.
First of all, the first track, ‘Secret’, is the work of composer Jung Suk-won, showing intense charm as a song that opens the door to IU’s second full-length album. Featuring an arrangement that emphasizes a clear story development and contrast, the song begins with IU's clear tone and a lyrical melody, then develops gradually with vocals that become more powerful and the grand sound of rock opera. Standing at the center of the song, IU showed powerful vocals that led all the music with her. The second track, ‘Sleeping Prince’, is the work of Yoon Sang, a composer who brought out IU's deep emotions with ‘Only I Didn't Know’. This song, which was brought to life again with an innocent charm that only IU can show, allows the listener to experience clear and bright emotions as if one were watching a fairytale. Just like how composer Yoon Sang felt that it was fortunate that IU sang this song when she was a teenager, IU's cute vocals and the warm arrangement meet to produce this high-quality song.
The third track, ‘Holding a Star in My Heart’ is a song by Kim Kwang-jin that conveys a deep sound that cannot be described with words. IU's vocals that sound like she is calmly reciting the song, together with the slow-flowing melodies, give a comforting feeling and Kim Kwang-jin's voice at the end of the song is touching to hear. The song, infused deeply with composer Kim Kwang-jin’s unique emotions, appeals to different generations. The fourth track, ‘YOU&I’, the title track of this second full-length album, is a collaboration between composer Lee Min-soo and lyricist Kim Eana, who created ‘Good Day’, and conveys IU's diverse emotions and upgraded musicality. ‘YOU&I’ is a song that once again showcases the charm of IU's vocals, with a mysterious and strange concept of a teenage girl who travels through time into the future. With a composition that crosses minor and major chords, a musical arrangement that stands out with its colorful and fantasy-like feeling of real sound using instruments rarely found in pop songs such as harp and horn, the song also allows you to experience IU's diverse vocal expression ability.
The fifth track, ‘Wallpaper Pattern’ is the work of composer Yoon Jong-shin, which shows IU's subtle emotions. It is a song that combines lyrical melodies with IU's warm tone and IU's interpretation of the song stands out as she perfectly interprets poetic lyrics that express ordinary emotions experienced in our daily lives. In particular, composer Jung Suk-won participated in the arrangement, giving it a more detailed sound. IU's song of encouragement for all the uncles in the world! The sixth track is ‘Uncle’ with composer Lee Juck. This song was completed with a discussion between IU and Lee Juck and IU's ‘aegyo’ (cute) tone captures the hearts of uncles along with the bouncy melody of the song. Lee Juck's rap made by IU's forced(?) request and IU's shout-out to her uncles are highlights to pay attention to in the song.
‘Wisdom Tooth’ is the work of composer G.Gorilla, who is loved by fans for his unique emotions, and is a song about the heart of a girl who suffered the heartache of her first love. As it is her first love, IU participated in writing the lyrics, to express more strongly the heartache from the perspective of a teenager in a pure and fun way and IU actually wrote the lyrics of the song after talking to her mother, expressing her honest feelings. ‘Everything's Alright’, the eighth track with a fast tempo and exciting feeling, is the work of composer Kim Hyun-chul. The song, which depicts the cold atmosphere of fighting with a lover, brings out that atmosphere by combining the warm sound of the actual performance and the harmony of IU and composer Kim Hyun-chul, who also featured in the song, and has a charm to it that leaves a lasting impression.
The ninth track, ‘Last Fantasy’, is the work of composer Kim Hyung-suk, and sounds even larger in scale than you would imagine a movie soundtrack to sound like. This song, which contains the grandeur of the 50-member orchestra, is a grand song that lasts more than six minutes and overwhelms its listeners. It is an impressive song that expresses IU's present state at the end of her teenage years with lyrics that ask someone to hold her hand so that she doesn’t fall into her dream when she opens the door to reality. The tenth track, ‘Teacher’ is by composer Ra.D, which IU also participated in writing the lyrics for. It is a song customized for IU from the start and a lot of time was invested in writing the lyrics to include all kinds of thoughts and concerns that 19-year-old IU had. The calm acoustic sound and emotional vocals of IU and Ra.D are combined to complete the charming song.
The eleventh track, ‘The Abandoned’, is a self-composed song written by IU. ‘The Abandoned’, which gives the feeling of a deep darkness, is a song that IU has worked on for a long time, and goes contrary to the bright side of herself that she has shown so far. This self-composed song by IU brings out her deep inner emotions that we never imagined her to have, instilling another kind of expectation from her fans with regard to her potential. The twelfth track, ‘4AM’, is a song by British singer-songwriter Corinne Bailey Rae, with lyrics written by IU and the song was completed with a collaborative effort between the two. The lyrics draw attention with their depiction of the unstable emotions at 4 a.m. and IU's deep vocals that she has not shown before allows the song leave an impression on the listener. IU sang this song by Corinne Bailey Rae, a musician she has said she loves the most since her debut, and that makes the song mean a lot to IU.
The finale of the full-length album, ‘L'amant’, is a song that allows the listener to experience the musical emotions of composer Jung Jaehyung as they are, through his work. IU’s mournful and thick vocals that flow through the sorrowful jazz melody add to the flair of the song. This song, which was fully completed with IU’s song interpretation ability, is a song that allows us to imagine the future of IU who shows that she can pull off a variety of genres. IU's second full-length album can be said to be a record that will remind the digital music generation of the ‘value of the album’ just by the team of participating musicians and the high quality of the songs. Let us all listen to the ‘charm of music’ that IU, who is highly anticipated by fans for her musical ability that combines musicality and popular appeal, will present through this album.
Some Personal Favorite K-Dramas
This is just a lil list of K-Dramas that are among my current favorites to return to (and return to often). I don't have this list ordered in any particular way aside from pairing dramas that share a lead together. I'll include little bits as to why they're on the list and/or mini reviews.
This list may get updated as I go to add more dramas that I find to be rewatchable!
Shopaholic Louis (aka Shopping King Louie)
This is a K-Drama that I just adore, it's adorable rom-com fluff. There's not really much of a villain or anything and honestly it's just a great drama (in my opinion) to unwind to. The relationship between Louis and Bok-shil is just so adorable and wholesome, I can't help but smile at how cute they are and just how much they trust each other.
I feel like this drama is underrated, so I really want to recommend this to anyone who enjoys rom-coms and especially light ones that are just romantic fluff! ♥
Tumblr media
Doom At Your Service
Alright, so I do love this show and while I have re-watched it in it's entirety several times, I have now gotten to the point where I skip the 2nd lead female's love triangle when I re-watch it. I don't enjoy love triangles in general and since hers really doesn't impact the main plot of the show and also feels really slow and boring compared to the fantasy romance that is the main plot, it's really skippable in order to get to the parts that I do enjoy/want to see. Which is anything with Doom and Tak Dong-kyung.
This was the first Seo In-guk drama that I had ever watched where he was a lead (I first saw him in his cameo role in Abyss) and I think this and/or Shopaholic Louis were the reason that he became one of my biases.
Despite it's flaws, I would still recommend this! It's not perfect and I won't pretend like it is, but I think that it is a good show all the same and I really enjoy re-watching it. I would definitely recommend this if you happen to be a fan of any of the actors. Honestly, there's no shame in watching something just for a bias (I say this, but I'll still blush and be shy to admit when I want to watch something just because of 1 person).
Tumblr media
W: Two Worlds
I don't know if saying "I re-watch this show a lot" quite covers the amount of times and the frequency with which I re-watch this show. I have no idea what it is about this show, but despite (or in spite of) it's flaws, I always find myself coming back to it again and again. For whatever reason, I just adore it. I'm obsessed with W and I'm not entirely sure if I can or will ever be able to pin down why. I find the premise of the show interesting and extremely up my alley (as someone who also enjoys the isekai anime genre, this is basically a Korean live-action isekai).
This drama just has a special hold on my heart, to the point that if I see a good edit on YouTube or gif set, I instantly want to re-watch the show again.
I think I really just love the trope of "rebelling against the author" which is just a niche version of "rebelling against fate."
This happens to be the show that made Lee Jong-suk one of my biases as well as the first drama of his that I watched.
Tumblr media
While You Were Sleeping
This is another Lee Jong-suk drama that I love to re-watch, though I've re-watched it considerably fewer times than the previous three dramas on this list and even some that come after this one on the list. I haven't re-watched it that many times only because I've marked it as "dangerous to watch late at night.” This is because, with my ADHD and trouble modulating my volume when I'm enjoying something, I may laugh too loudly and could wake someone up.
I loved the premise of this show, I also consider it to be the only show with a love triangle that I actually like the handling of. Which is saying something because I really dislike love triangles.
Random Fun Fact: This show is actually available on Hulu! Quite hilariously, it is labeled as "Health & Wellness" and "Reality"...of which it is neither of those things lol Unless by "Reality" they mean live-action. This is a fact that makes me laugh and had to share.
Extra-ordinary You
This was the first K-Drama set in high school that I had ever watched and I do not regret it. I loved the premise and the execution of this show so much. As someone aspiring to be an author as well as someone who enjoys reading, I really loved the characters slandering the author of the comic book that they were a part of.
I really loved the friendship and romance between Ha-ru and Dan-oh, there were so many moments when Ha-ru made my heart flutter right alongside Dan-oh’s.
I also really loved the friendship between both Ha-ru, Dan-oh and Do-hwa. ❤️
I personally consider this show "ADHD friendly" since the episodes are about 30 minutes long and it also makes it easier to stop so you can go to sleep. Except I didn't stop to sleep when I first watched it, I binge-watched it through the night and into the morning (don’t make my mistakes lol).
Tumblr media
Abyss
This was the third drama I had ever watched and while I haven't re-watched it lately, it used to be something that I re-watched a lot. I really enjoyed this show and I'll definitely come back and re-watch it again. It will forever be a marked improvement compared to the first drama I had ever watched.
Since this was the 3rd ever drama I'd seen, I was really confused why the "trailer" Netflix had showed a scene that was not in the show. Between the summary and clip, I really thought it was going to start out way different than it did lol
The humor in this show killed me so many times. The scene where Se-yeon is trying to explain that the dead body of the tall guy in the morgue is Cha Min will live rent free in my brain forever.
This happens to be the drama that made Ahn Hyo-seop one of my biases (and my first K-Drama bias too!).
Tumblr media
I Am Not A Robot
I found this show to be very interesting and funny, as well as cute. I have to say that the concept of being allergic to humans was probably the first thing that really drew me to this drama. I wanted to know how that was even possible lol
I came to really love the romance and the friendship that the leads formed as well as the friendship/camaraderie of the research team.
Admittedly, I've only re-watched this a handful of times, but I do still enjoy it and do come back to it. ♥ I really loved the humor and the heart in this show!
My Roommate Is A Gumiho
Admittedly, I haven't seen the webtoon that this show was based off of, so I don't know how good it is compared to the source material. That being said, I have a history of liking things independent from their source material (whether they were a good adaptation or not). Testament to this claim is the fact that as a kid I very unironically loved the movie adaptation of Eragon despite it being a very bad adaptation and having actually read the book.
I'm getting wildly off track though lol
I really love this show, I loved the premise and I loved the special effects, the humor, and the relationships. Hyeri did a great job as Lee Dam, the character was hilarious and the scenes of her rolling away and in general avoiding the 2nd male lead will always be worth re-watching the show again…even though I’m mainly there for the romance between her and Shin Woo-Yeo.
Tumblr media
Splash Splash Love
This is actually the first historical romance drama that I had ever watched! This show is really cute and funny, I really loved the premise and the plot.
As someone who has always had a bad relationship with math, I could relate to the female lead, on top of wanting to just... escape school.
I consider this show to be extremely ADHD friendly because there's literally only 2 episodes and they're both basically the length of a Disney movie or less. You can finish this show so fast and it's worth it.
This is something that I like to watch if I just need a quick little pick-me-up.
Tumblr media
Business Proposal
Another drama adapted from a webtoon that I also haven't read/seen.
I jumped on this purely because of Ahn Hyo-seop and it. did. not. disappoint. Oh my gosh, this show was just wonderful, I came running to Netflix whenever a new episode dropped and I enjoy re-watching it for much of the same reasons why I love re-watching Shopaholic Louis. It's fluffy, it's cute, it's also hilarious and it's just a really enjoyable show. ♥
Tumblr media
Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok-joo
This is a K-Drama that I slept on for awhile. I honestly am not big into sports related stuff, but after seeing K-Drama edits on YouTube that included clips from this show (and finding out that Lee Jong-suk had a cameo in it), I decided to give it a chance and I do not regret doing that at all!
The cameo that I came for was worth it (in my opinion) and more importantly, I came to love the show. I really loved the gradual growth in the relationship between the male lead and the female lead. While I didn't initially like that he called her Chubs, I found myself not holding it against him and being glad he ultimately dropped it for the most part.
This show was packed with loads of humor and on top of it, it happened to check the boxes on some of my favorite tropes, so how could I not end up falling in love with it?
Tumblr media
Romance Is A Bonus Book
Admittedly, this drama is unusual for me. I mentioned before in my introduction post that I don't generally watch noona romances. The main reason that I gave this one a try was because of Lee Jong-suk and also because it involved books.
This show surprised me as I didn't expect to end up liking it as much as I did. I found the relationship between Eun-ho and Dan-i to be cute and wholesome, I really loved the way Eun-ho would support and cheer on Dan-i.
I found that the show left me with a very specific vibe, which was that of cozying up with a good book (specifically an old favorite) on a rainy day. Something about the show just felt comforting in that exact way and because of that, I re-watch this show whenever I feel like I'm in need of that.
Tumblr media
Semantic Error
Yet another webtoon-turned-kdrama that I haven't seen (although I have seen the ads for it). I watched this on the recommendation of a friend (though I had been interested in it for awhile, but hadn't started it because I was worried it wouldn't be as good as it sounded).
This is the first LGBTQ+ K-Drama that I've seen and I really enjoyed it, I found it funny, cute and the soundtrack was great! This is another show that I would classify as "ADHD Friendly" as the episodes are short enough that you can easily finish the show in less than a day (roughly 3 hours to be exact!) and the show kept my attention.
Extraordinary Attorney Woo
At the time of writing this, I haven't yet finished this show. I still have 3 or 4 episodes left to go, BUT, this show is so good already that I know I'm going to end up re-watching it a lot. If nothing else than to re-watch the really cute and utterly wholesome relationship between Attorney Woo and Jun-ho. ♥
Seriously, this drama makes me want more dramas with wholesome love lines with characters with disabilities (portrayed well and accurately of course).
Just watched the final episodes of TWOE and I'm still trying to process it… what made me the saddest was the fact the main couple broke up. In a way, the crime aspect is so intricate but the core four had so much feelings for each other and the screenplay only shows a glimpse of it. I guess that the dynamics between Junmo and Gicheol weren't fully explored. Their friendship had eveything to be amazing and it didn't feel like that in the end. Also Euijeong loosing Junmo after all of this, after the fact he only did this so he wouldn't be mistreated by her family. In a way, I don't doubt she would be the one to finish the relationship because even with Gicheol being a criminal he was close to her and he died in her arms and inside of her house. At the end all that was left was suffering. Anyway, JCW deserves a Baeksang for his work in this, it required a lot of facial expressions and he conveyed so many nuanced feelings
The main couple break up - If we can even call that, because you might as well say they're still together, even if it's just on paper (a family of cops don't divorce etc) - was actually my last straw. Mostly because it made no sense with Euijeong's character throughout the show. Of course, she was sad, scared he would get hurt and at the end afraid of what he was turning... but she also stayed by his side through it all and it just makes no sense Junmo would be so jealous to the point he wouldn't forgive the woman he killed a man to protect. He did the same thing to her! I believe he had feelings for Hae Ryeon, the same way I believe Euijeong had feelings for Gi Cheol... but for me it would have been more powerful if they at least got together at the end? Like, commit to something! to infidelity, to a marriage, to partners in crime or cops above it all. In the end, the show chose to do nothing. The police stayed the same, is Junmo more corrupt now? I don't know. [The final episode of Watcher [mild-spoiler ahead] left me wondering about the future of Han Suk Kyu's and Seo Kang Joon's characters, because after all they have seen (and done) are they the same? Can we trust them? It really left that question hanging. But TWOE finale just left me thinking Junmo is kinda sad and traumatized, but mostly because he lost his wife, kind of. I feel like my main issue is that the show was committed to the institutions I dislike the most (the church and the police). So we must punish the sins and we must be good and in the end, the evil is locked up and the good are repenting (because they've sinned!), but no one rebelled. Even Hae Ryeon's dream is to be what... a normal girl? But why? It's a gangster show, I wasn't looking for a happy ending, but I was hoping for an ending that wasn't boring at least. An ending that made me feel something. You know when you watch/read something and in the end a character says/does something and you just get it? It all comes together and it feels like you've been punched? The show had the opportunity to deliver that in the end, especially after how insane the past episode was, but they were too coward, I feel. And it's sad because it had a lot of potential, a charming casting, and Wi Ha Joon's charisma. As for baeksang, I do think this was probably his best work but this year gave us Ryu Seung Ryong and Nam Goongmin which for me were another lever completely.
han yun jae x reader
warnings: smut 18+, p in v, short fingering
Tumblr media
you were standing there watching the man you loved act like he didn’t care about leaving you. your stomach was in a knot, your heart was broken into a million pieces all while he just stood there like an emotionless robot. “so that’s it? you’re just gonna go to outer space and dump me because of it?” you asked exasperatedly. “like we didn’t just spend 2 beautiful years together?” your voice cracked at the end of your sentence.
he continued to keep his back towards you and looked at the floor. he couldn’t look at you.. it hurt too much.
“what about ha jin? hmm?” you rushed out frantically before he could reach the door to leave. “she’ll notice. i can’t just leave her without a word, jae.” you really meant that. you loved her and you both had grown attached to eachother. you didn’t want to be another woman just disappearing from her life like her real mother. you heard him let out a deep sigh before he said. “you can keep visiting… you might be all she has soon.” then he walked out of the door, leaving all the love you built behind.
7 months later
“you think so? i just bought these the other day.” you smiled and felt your cheeks heat up at ryu tae suk’s compliment about how your jeans fit you perfectly. Ironically enough you were asked to join the mission your ex was going on not long after the break up. you had been asked because of your experience in nursing. it took you by surprise considering you hadn’t had a job in nursing in a few years, but it was an opportunity you definitely couldn’t turn down. you actually didn’t even now han yun jae would be there until you ran into him after your first official talk with director choi.
“mhm.” tae suk bit his lip while longingly taking a look at your ass. “you’re lucky there’s people around us.” he winked before leaving you flustered in the break area. you had been having to come and get with everyone everyday to prepare for the mission.
“get a room.” you heard han yu jae grumble from where he was sitting and eating his lunch.
“what?” you scowled and faced him. it honestly pissed you off that he’d feel any type of way when HE’S the one that ended things. “can’t take it that someone else can touch me now?” you raised an eyebrow while crossing your arms. “your fault. not mine.” you knew that would sting him to hear. he was always so possessive which is another reason you could never understand why he’d leave you so suddenly.
he slammed his chopsticks on the table and stood up quickly, making his chair screech against the floor. “you don’t think you don’t still belong to me, huh?” he rushed towards you til your back was pressed against the hard wall and his hand was wrapped around your throat. your heart was pounding against your chest and your head was spinning. you still loved him but he left you. why would you be considerate of his feelings when he wasn’t of yours? “i don’t anymore jae. you lost me.” you spat at him, hoping to hurt him the way he hurt you.
“CAPTAIN han yun jae. address me correctly.” he tightened his grip on your throat making you choke on your breathe. he was absolutely pissed at the thought of you letting anyone lay a finger on you that isn’t him, especially someone so close to him. he chuckled when he heard you whimper and slid his free hand down to grip your ass. “forgot you’re such a slut. you like this don’t you?” he pressed his hard on into your front and ground into you. “no one can own you like i did.” he growled before pressing his lips into yours. you moaned into his mouth and let his tongue pass your lips. you were tingling in excitement, remembering the way he knows your body and how he could always make you cum whenever he wanted like it was nothing.
“i need you captain. please.” you moaned through kisses and gripped his silky black hair in your fingers. you felt him smirk against your lips giving you chills throughout your body.
he removed his hand from your throat to slide his hand in your pants to feel your arousal. “fuck.” he groaned while easily sliding two fingers in your pussy. “i missed my pussy.” he cooed before frantically kissing your lips and thrusting his fingers deep inside of you. you squirmed under his hard body, feeling the tips of his fingers hit your spot with every pump. “i can’t fuck you here.” he grumbled into your kiss and stilled his hand, keeping his fingers inside of you feeling your grip around his fingers. your eyes darted up to the uni bathroom behind him. “bathroom.” you mumbled and started kissing from his jaw to his neck tattoo. “please fuck me.” you begged and sucked on his skin. “so wet for you captain, just you.”
in no time he was holding you up by your thighs and wrapped your legs around his waist. “that’s not what you showed me about 6 minutes ago.” he snarled while walking you both into the bathroom. he shut the door with his foot before locking it swiftly. “i think i need to remind you where you belong.” he slammed your back into the bathroom door. “if i knew we’d both end up here i would’ve never let you go.” he confessed and pulled your shirt off.
“cut the sappy shit, im pissed at you still.” you rolled your eyes and unclasped your bra. “you lef-“ you shrieked when you felt him drop you and your feet hit the floor and him yank your jeans down with your panties.
“get rid of them and shut the fuck up.” he demanded while undoing his belt. he hated how stubborn you were. you hadn’t changed a bit. you wouldn’t listen to him so he was ready to fuck you til you heard him. “you’re so sexy but fuck.” he dropped his jeans with his boxers and lifted you back up by your thighs. “you never fucking listen.” he pushed his length all the way in, giving you no time to adjust.
“if you listened.” he started thrusting deep and hard into you making you grip his shoulders. “you. would. fucking. know. why. i. did. what. i. had. to. do.” he hit your g spot with every word. you were a moaning mess in his arms. you could hear your wetness with his every thrust, the sound of your bodies connecting echoing the room. he dipped his head down to suck and bite your neck, purposefully leaving a mark on you.
“you think anyone else could fuck you this good, hmm? fill you up as good as me. hmm, baby? tell me.” he taunted you and wrapped his hand around your throat. he felt your pussy clench tighter around him and he chuckled cockily. “you can’t lie to me, i felt your answer.” he moaned and started drilling into you. he kept a tight grip on your throat while watching your face full of pure bliss.
“j-just you. s-so close.” was all you could spit out while he fucked you the way you had been craving for so long. every angry feeling you had towards him had vanished. all you felt anymore was your need to release and get the love back from him that you were missing.
“give me it, Y/N.” he groaned huskily and bit his lip. “fuuuck, that’s it baby. so fucking good.” his hips jerked when you exploded around him, causing him to release in unison. “my baby.” he panted and peppered kisses on your neck, riding out your highs slowly savoring the moment. “you’re mine.” he bit down on the sensitive spot where he marked you making you whimper at the slight pain.
“i love you captain han yun jae.” you smiled lazily with your head loled back onto the wall. “you’re a fucking idiot.” you giggled when you heard him groan and he dropped his forehead to your shoulder. “keep me this time.” you spoke softly, your heart fluttering when he lifted his head up to look in your eyes. “i’ve been a mess without you.” your eyes softened, finally putting your guard down.
“me too baby.” he sighed and leaned down to peck your lips softly. “but you’re back in my arms now. i’ll never let you go again.”he nuzzled his nose against yours, overloading you with cuteness. “make sure you wear your hair up.” he smiled, but spoke in a serious tone. “i’ll be having a word with my co captain later. you’re off limits.”
2022 Kdrama End of Year Roundup
I wasn't going to do an end of year round up because I didn't finish anything this year (🙃), but reading everyone's 2022 roundups was so fun and inspiring that I thought I'd throw my hat in the ring. This is less a review of anything and more a series of rambling thoughts about the different dramas I bounced around this year.
My Name is Kim Sam Soon (2005): Kim Sun-ah is one of my favourite actresses and after watching her amazing turn in Children of Nobody, I hopped onto her starmaking drama, My Name is Kim Sam Soon. The first episode is perfect - razor sharp writing and comedic performances, and the most endearing heroine in Sam Soon. She's a hot mess but a very adult hot mess, with a strange dignity about her even as she rushes from one humiliating situation to another. Her chemistry with Hyun Bin is charming, although the character himself was not quite as nice. Kim Sam Soon is a character who still feels novel, but pairing her with Hyun Bin's grouchy, aloof, grabby love interest felt regressive, like the writers wanted to have their cake and eat it. I dropped it not just because I was lazy, but because the relationship didn't seem like a fun journey. But man, that first episode really is so good.
2521: Kim Tae-ri's performance as Na Hee-do has to be seen to be believed. Na hee-do is an animated character and I mean this in every complimentary sense of the word. Animation is a medium where the artist has exacting control over every image the audience sees, and so the best pieces of character animation will transform even the act of walking - from one imaginary point to another - into something transcendent; Kim Tae-ri's physicality is so finetuned and precise that every gesture she makes feels like something whole and wonderful in itself - she's so good that she elevates every scene into a more vivid, exciting reality. She really didn't need to carry this drama - the cast is solid - but somehow it ended up being that way. She's so good in this that everytime it jumped to the present, I felt lost and even upset at how little of her I could see in Kim So-hyun's Hee-do. Maybe that was the point, but it still hurt lol. I liked looking at Nam Joo-hyuk - he's very pretty and has nice arms. That's really all I can say about him here. I dropped the drama before he and Hee-do got together, but to be honest, watching Hee-do and Yu-rim finally become "friends" felt more rewarding. It's always fun to see Kim Hye-eun - she brings a certain malicious edge to even the most innocuous characters. And the show's art direction was gorgeous. Can't see myself going back to it but I had a great time.
My Liberation Notes: before I knew about kdrama screenwriters and their creative powers, and that it was possible to learn these writers' names and follow their works and idiosyncracies, I knew of Park Hae-young from her terrifying Another Miss Oh which made me wish desperately to never fall in love if being in love meant endless humiliation. I've already talked about how painful it is to watch PHY's shows and My Liberation Notes was no different. I'm sure it's a show that rewards patience; I'm sadly a deeply impatient person. Another Miss Oh had some very good humour to keep me going for 7 episodes; My Mister propelled me through all 16 episodes with its tight storyline and captivating interpersonal drama. My Liberation Notes didn't have any sugar to help the bitter pill go down easier - the pill being a claustrophobic, feverish depiction of adulthood. Setting the story in an autumn where summer has lingered too long meant I could feel the humidity in the back of my throat. I guess I dropped it because it was a little too good. But I might go back to it - all those gifs of Kim Ji-Won and Son Suk-ku look very tantalising.
Extraordinary Attorney Woo: this one is tricky to talk about because I was certain I was going to finish it and love it forever. Episode 1-9 of EAW are practically perfect. I can't speak for the accuracy of its representation, but it's wonderful to hear that Park Eun-bin's performance hit the right chord with many autistic viewers. This really was an excellent ensemble cast - seeing Kang Ki-young in such a measured performance after watching him all these years in comedic supporting, then second lead roles was oddly touching (and this is also the last time I'll ever compliment him, since he might be doing brownface in his next movie in the year of our lord 2023, hope he's proud of himself). Favourite moments: the “Children’s Liberation Army”; "Spring Sunshine" Soo-yeon; Young-woo eating breakfast with Geurami after running away from home; Young-woo's meeting with her mother, played by the immensely gifted Jin Kyung. The series was poised to become my new favourite thing, but episode 11 happened and was so embarassing I dropped the show off the face of the earth. Episode 11 is so baffling, so unexpected, so utterly juvenile compared to what had come before. Listen to this - Young-woo takes on a case of a couple contesting lottery winnings with the husband's friends. She wins but the husband might be a crook. But - uh oh! - he's also abusive. But - uh oh! - he's also cheating on his wife. But - uh oh! - he gets run over by a truck before anyone can bring him to any kind of justice. Even typing this out I'm laughing because it’s just so strange. After previously thoughtful, organic writing, to see the show suddenly fall back into what was comfortable and safe was disappointing to say the least. And the worst part was that it no longer felt like Young-woo's story - as if the narrative had been wrenched out of her hands, which had been carrying the story beautifully all this time. But I think it was unfair of me to judge an episodic show so harshly for one dud, which is why I plan on finishing it. I think 2022 was the year I discovered that I'm a very judgemental viewer.
Little Women: a gothic modern day retelling of Little Women was the last thing I expected to watch this year. Starting the story post-mortem was an interesting choice - "Beth" is already dead and her memory haunts her sisters who can't even remember her name. And her death distorts the characters, as if to challenge the original novel's thesis, to say that poverty breaks rather than builds character. "Marmee" does not pull herself together, but is permanently damaged from the loss and abandons her surviving daughters at the first instance. There's a sense of disturbed girlhood - I'll forever be struck by the image of a corpse wearing a pair of red shoes, and hidden in the wardrobe of a girl's dollhouse. This combination of gothicism with otherwise hardnosed suspense made for a very thrilling, heady watch in places. Ms Go beating up In-joo was easily one of the best things I've seen all year. This woman wears clean sharp lines with her hair in a neat bun, and the moment a vulnerable, desperate young woman offers herself up for punishment, the facade flakes away to reveal an obscene love of cruelty. I was terrified for In-joo, delighted to see a woman who actually delivered on her promise of violence. Park Bo-kyung is a star. If I see another comment talking about how "oh, In-joo and Do-il should've gotten together, they had such great chemistry," I'm going to scream. I'm sure Wi Ha-joon has been wonderful elsewhere, but here, next to Kim Go-eun, who was acting, he was painfully flat. I will finish this one, partly because I’m really intrigued to see how it resolves itself, but also to get another glimpse of my favourite violent woman Ms Go.
Into the Ring (2020): checked this one out at the very tail end of 2022, and honestly, best decision I made last year. This drama is, on a scene to scene, frame to frame level, the funniest show I've ever watched. It’s full of delightful little quirks from its eccentric cast of characters that it mines for every giggle. Our heroine Goo Se-ra isn’t weird in a cute way, not weird in a quirky way, not weird in a sexy way - just weird. She’s unhinged but also scarily competent, as if all those short-term jobs have accumulated into latent superpowers. Her and Gong-myung are the rare drama couple that actually delight in each other’s company - there were brief moments of intimacy where I was taken aback by how completely I believed in this fictional relationship. It’s a show that needs its brevity and its indestructible heroine, because its world of local politics can be incredibly defeatist. The underdog rarely wins - she’s at least 15 years too late, without connections, wealth or the time to build a strong base within the system. I appreciated the narrative’s bluntness about what it meant to be an effective politician, and at some point, even though she really vexed me in places, I came to understand councilwoman Yoon Hee-soo’s world-weary pragmatism (played by Yoo Da-in who I’ve not seen since Weightlfting Fairy, and who, in hindsight, was wasted there). Also Ahn Nae-sang was hot in this. Yeah, I don’t know either. I’ve only got 2 episodes left and I can’t wait to get back once I’ve finished all my essays.
Offhand, I checked out episode 1 of Why Her? while doing schoolwork, and I love me a morally ambiguous girlboss but when that morally ambiguous girlboss physically assaults a worker - who is both significantly younger than her AND her student - and the show carries on as if nothing is wrong (and even ensures that the student is already emotionally attached to her, meaning that he is never appropriately angry at her for assault...), eyebrows start to rise. Of course there’s an interesting story in there about power imbalances and how powerful women uphold abusive power structures, but I don’t think Why Her? is that story. Oh well. Seo Hyun-jin’s hair is beautiful in this though, the stylists should get a raise.
And that’s it for 2022! Wishing you guys a belated, but very happy new year, and good things in 2023! 🥰🥰
A Killer Paradox Review
Did I just watch this drama because Son Suk Ku looks hot? Yes, I did.
Tumblr media
Lee Tang is a university student who works part-time at a convenience store. But one night he gets assaulted by a man and as Tang defends himself, he kills the man.
I think the start of the drama was quite silly: Tang's killing relied on luck every time and it was interesting to see how he would get away this time.
But it did frustrate me a bit because he was an idiot and thank goodness there was someone to help him.
The second half of the drama focuses on a previous killer exactly like Tang and I get why everyone lost interest.
Plus it was more serious which is understandable because Tang grew as a killer but shifting focus did not work for one of the reasons...
There is never really a point where you want to root for the police or even Tang.
In this kind of series, the viewers are usually made to root for the 'bad guy' in this case Tang but even if he died I would not care.
He was shown mostly as a silent character, he's just there to kill.
We get to see his mind in the beginning when he just killed someone and how he is dealing with it. After that, we don't get much of that.
The police officer, Nan Gam did not do a lot. He was one of the police officers who was always a few steps behind and was the only one who believed that there was more to the murders.
To add, he is the one who gets his fists talking first which is annoying.
I guess the only character I understood and enjoyed seeing on screen was Roh Bin, the helper. He had an interesting backstory and was very smart.
To sum it up, it's an okay drama. I have to agree with all the people who said it fell flat in the second half of it.
There were also two nudity scenes. It was also for like two seconds, so my question is - why??
I think it would have been better it if was a film. Or maybe make people more invested in characters instead of showing a new one (though I have to say his story was interesting).
7.5/10
I feel like kpop stans created their own worst enemy in armys maybe they should've been nicer. Exols vips and shawols specifically I feel like out of the fandoms that did the most damage they're the biggest ones still sticking around
***
Hi Anon,
Watching from the sidelines, it was equal parts hilarious and disturbing to see that creation happen in real time. The dominant cultures of those fandoms haven’t changed in years, and neither has the animosity to ARMYs by virtue of the competition the artists they support have to BTS - not intentionally, but just by virtue of the dynamics in k-pop. SHINee, Big Bang, and EXO were supposed to be the dominant groups in k-pop globally - they had the company backing and privilege, the money, and the articles going as far back as 2011, to guarantee it. And they still enjoyed wide-scale success and are by several metrics still very successful. But BTS was an aberration that completely upended the hierarchy in k-pop, and just by virtue of being an anomaly in the system, earned them animosity. It’s a dynamic that used to fascinate me in 2018 and Kim Young-dae’s writing on it at the time was very interesting to read.
Anyway, now ARMYs are what they are for better or worse, and responsibility for the fandom’s behaviour rests solely on the fandom, though of course it’s best understood when looking at the wider k-pop and music ecosystem.
One thing my k-ARMY friend was telling me yesterday was that this partnership HYBE is pursuing with SM serves as insurance against the worst factions of anti-BTS sentiment in SM, while plugging the revenue shortfall from BTS enlisting. I disagreed (and still do) about the first point.
Spite is a very natural human emotion but in k-pop, it’s distilled to an extremely potent and poisonous weapon. You see it everywhere in even the most innocuous places and it’s so prominent that even newer k-pop fans tap into that undercurrent almost immediately as soon as they enter k-pop spaces. In terms of corporate benefits, this SM deal for HYBE is nearly airtight in how brilliant it is, but when considering dominant fandom behaviours that stretch past 15 years at least, it’s a poorly thought out choice.
I mean,
- SM, SM staff, and fans of SM groups have been well aware of the company-wide corruption and crimes Lee Sooman is guilty of, for literal decades. But it was him approaching HYBE that became the turning point that apparently has “destroyed his legacy” - quoting a k-SM fan on a forum yesterday.
- MHJ is responsible for several of SM’s most iconic concepts. Some people had misgivings about her but it was well understood that she worked within a team and took direction for those concepts from none other than Lee Sooman and Yoo Young-jin. In fact, when she announced her resignation from SM a couple years ago, I recall seeing several fans of SM groups sad and distraught about her leaving. But when it was revealed she moved to HYBE, the dominant sentiment changed. Cue all the subsequent accusations to justify that sentiment and the stigma applied to NewJeans, but it’s very curious to me that neither Blackpink, nor Big Bang, nor Baby Monster have any stigma attached to them despite training as minors under Yang Hyun-suk - the only actual known pedophile in k-pop. Like it’s not even common knowledge in wider k-pop fandom despite a court case, tv interview, and marriage certificate which prove his predilections beyond reasonable doubt. But after MHJ moved to HYBE, all it took was a Twitter thread, Pinterest pictures, and an active imagination to sell the crime.
- Garam.
I could list more instances spanning the last 6 years but I’ll stop here for now. My point is, I understand why HYBE is pursuing SM. That company has been so badly managed that it’s simpler cheaper to acquire it, than any of the other Big3 companies. If I were to suggest a company with better potential synergy for HYBE, I would suggest JYPE and that’s also a company that prudently disburses capital. But JYPE would also be more expensive for HYBE and likely wouldn’t yield as good a return as acquiring SM. This is one case where I’d say money isn’t everything, but lol what do I know? I’m just an ARMY and k-pop stan.
so having read @mindmeltonabun-blog 's analysis of the plagiarism in My Demon, I felt strangely compelled to give my own review, since I have been pondering on it for quite some time now ever since I've finished it.
In short, my opinion would be, that the drama is a rather shallow, superficial, but visually stunning rendition of a popular trope that has been done a gazillion times before. It leaves a lot to the viewer's interpretation and their imagination due to the lack of proper explanation of major events in the plot. Think, an adaptation of a popular teen novel from the 2010s- short on everything but chemistry between the main actors (Fallen from 2016, The Mortal Instruments from 2013, heck even Twilight as the post stated as well and many more). The author laid out a nice blue print of a story that could have worked, had it been better researched and had she paid more attention to details. My particular problem with this drama was Gu Won's obvious identity crisis, which stems mainly from the fact that the author herself didn't really know what he was supposed to be. Like is he a demon, plucked from the many or is he the devil himself? He calls himself a demon, then then devil, he often claims that God's his boss, God herself says that she sent him there among humans, because she needed a "worker", which to me heavily implies that he's an angel..? Am I the only one who couldn't quite understand that part? And after the small discussion I had with certain commenters on Mydramalist, I guess I agree with the fact that he's supposed to be some kind of a fallen angel, mirroring the real devil, but that still doesn't explain as to why God called him "her worker". I guess, everything's part of the author's scarcely explained lore.
The Christian elements of the story, especially the Joseon Era part, were interesting (like I would totally watch a standalone drama following only that arc of the story, it's ten times more original than the main one), but totally lacked in execution and research which made a complete jumbled mess of the whole story, I did catch a few references to the Bible here and there, dunno if they were intentional or not.
Do Do Hee, to me, seemed like an even more washed out replica of Nam Ji Ah from The Tale of the Nine Tailed, mainly in how she was structured: she was strong, independent and formidable until she met her male lead and in a way she served as a feisty enigma for him to solve throughout the first few episodes, until he did and she fell flat, constantly in a need of his protection and reassurance. The "Succession" part of the show was an absolute chaos, it was obvious from the beginning who the culprit was and his tactics were honestly laughable, he wasn't terrifying at all, yet alone secretive and elusive, his whole character seemed to have escaped from a makjang if you ask me. There was no real fight, no palpable hatred and conflict between Do Do Hee and him, he spent strategically more time stroking Gu Won's magical book and chatting up the maniac he hired in sketchy chatrooms, instead of doing evil things. I would so preferred if the guy who was obsessed with Do Do Hee (for whichever reason we'll never find out btw or maybe I missed it, dunno) was the real villain instead of Noh Suk Min, he at least, evoked pure disgust and uneasiness in me, while Noh Suk Min made me laugh, literally. Oh and what a marvelous waste of Lee Sang Yi, his role was literally useless he was just there to be pretty (I love you boo <333333). Let's not forget the detectives please- they were even more useless, they just existed to be clueless about their jobs and look raggedy and lost most of the time.
The whole tone of the drama should have been different and more graphic. For a drama that deals with such heavy topics, it should've been darker, grittier, scarier, Gu Won should have been more dangerous, bolder, more seductive, sexier and more lethal, I mean he's a literal demon and given his tragic backstory he should have been truly ruthless, preying on people's misfortunes and feasting on the terrible outcome, in fact I think I would prefer for him to have been a libertine living an absolutely lavish and debauched life in the human underworld, where he would find most of his potential clients instead of the doleful theatre owner who mopes around clock towers looking for "his next victim", it just doesn't match the person he became after seeing Do Do Hee's past version dead and killing all of those people because of it (I mean Song Kang is more than a capable actor to do such a character, I wanna cry thinking what we've been deprived of seriously). For someone who boldly exclaims his hatred of people, he seems quite timid in hurting them, he should have been shown literally torturing people who didn't adhere to the contract and who wanted to escape it, instead he is just stuck in a dress up game with a plot that progresses nowhere and most of the time selectively "borrows" elements from other famous dramas. In fact the same thing could be said for Do Do Hee as well; as much as I liked most of her outfits, she was presented as this notorious business woman in episode one, but all she ever does in the rest of the episodes is just drive around town, looking like a Barbie doll.
I'm sure there were more things that irked me, but I just can't remember at the moment so I'll just stop here. The sole thing that saved this show was the chemistry between the leads.
