I feel it comes up far too often that I am researching a mental illness or behavior or types of people that people will comment how such people will never be saved, never come to Christ

And I honestly think this is an evil thing to say, let alone publicly, let alone where a record of it is kept for all to see for however long the website is running

Do you have any idea where people who are struggling with all manner of things and looking for help are going to end up? On those exact pages. Do you know where they might look for more information when the article/video/etc waxes on about how rare it is for these people to change or find help? Right in the comments.

How dare the people who post this stuff. To take away the only real hope for the lost. To say ‘this is where everyone can find peace for their soul except for you.’ ‘only those good enough can be Saved’

I have seen people mention being in absolute despair because there’s no help for them even though they want to change. There’s no need to make this even harder. 

No sin, no mental illness, no habit, no personality type, no mistake, no past is going to prevent people who put their faith in Jesus’s death and resurrection from being Saved, so stop trying to turn them away and discourage them.

something that I think the “have fun and be yourself” discourse tends to miss is that it’s all very well saying do whatever you want and don’t worry about what people think because the people who judge you aren’t worth your time, but sometimes you choose to act normal because you have a task to do or you’re in a conversation that you care about, and having to stop in the middle for your interlocutor to say bewilderedly “but why did you do that in such a quirky way” would be wasting time and getting off topic. choosing to act normal to avoid that is not being inauthentic out of unhealthy fear of censure. it’s just prudence.

No one actually cares about what you do once you get out of school and, even then, no one cares enough to stop you.

People don’t hate you. Sure, they might not like you, but not everyone is going to like you. You’re gonna have to live with that. It’s not that bad a thing.

What you see online is a microcosm of the world. Your experience on the internet is your responsibility to curate and process, and it is a FRACTION of a reflection of the real world.

The awful shit you see in the news is bad and you should stay aware. But not everything is awful; there is still beauty and goodness in this world, there are still people who want to make it better.

Hating things doesn’t make you cool, it just makes you look like a miserable jerk. Enjoy things with your full chest. Cringe is dead, and you’re still breathing.

It’s better to assume ignorance over malice. Someone might not share your ideas because they’ve never been exposed to them before, and a question that may sound foolish may be coming from a place of curiosity and wishing to understand.

The world is a rough place. Don’t contribute to the pain. Put something beautiful into the world instead.

Second thing I wanted to share was my Halloween costume!!

I’ve got process pictures I might share at a later date, but I’m so happy with it!!! I planned this with a friend in June, and I put in a lot of hours and late night in October to make it happen.

We didn’t go trick or treating, but we did fuck around at a mall and handed out showfall business cards he made the night before.

He also got a picture of me in the portrait pose he’s being sneaky about, I’ll have to share when he finally tells me what that’s about.

Over all a great spooky season for me, I’ve also got some pictures relating to a certain video game movie I’m waiting to share until after the strike is over.

Before then, I got almost no interaction here (though I didn’t post very much then compared to now)

regardless, it’ll take some time and then you’ll get some hit post you didn’t expect, that’s what happened on my other blog I mentioned, here too
