You were restless and lonely. Ellie had spent the better part of the afternoon preoccupied with the LED modules shuffled in her laptop, attempting to receive her ServSafe certificate. The online test had been eating up all her time, and Ellie sometimes chastised you for being overly needy n’ pouty when she had her hands full with things to do. So you tried to not add to her plate by pressing for attention, or conversation today. No matter how much you wanted to chit-chat with her. You wanted to be good more than anything.
No one saw you and Ellie as a compatible match, if it wasn’t already made visually obvious, it was definitely made obvious the second you popped your pink lips open to speak, while the brunette butch brooded behind you. This was a chance to shush all those insecurities that crept over you and told you that Ellie could be with a smarter, more capable, more self-reliant girl. You wanted to be a good fit for her. So you distracted yourself by jumping through social media apps, flipping through old cosmo magazines, and touching up the corner of your acrylic toe set with some white polish you kept carefully placed in her desk. But none of that worked. You were bored with everything you’d tried. Worse, your girlfriend had been looking so handsome in her loose plaid button up and dad jeans, as she slumped in her kitchen stool. It was getting so hard to remain detached and unaffected by the pristine silence in the house when you would pass by to check up on her.
Every so often Ellie’s pretty face would cutely scrunch up whenever she was puzzled by a question, which made for very testing times. But not as testing as when Ellie did that thing where she yanked at and ruffled her scruffy wolf cut, when she was in deep concentration. It was the cutest little boyish tic. You had nearly broken your own resolve to go run to her arms and litter her cheeks in glossy kisses. Which all made it so hard to have her near, as handsome as she was, and have her not even look up at you once. Not even allowed to step in her embrace, held by her toned arms, her sweet cologne and that woodsy scented jacket.
You were moping, and that moping turned into whining, and whining turned into annoyed flashes from Ellie’s eyes every time you got too squeaky. Those flashes turned into scowls, and that led to Ellie groaning at you.
“Can I help you with something?”
Ellie’s face was unamused, and it made you straighten your spine.
“N-no.”
“Great. Thanks.” She replied, her voice was just dripping in sarcasm. But that little flash of attention you had received filled your tummy with happy butterflies, until it went right back to her laptop.
You felt a twinge in your chest at how quickly she tuned you out. Did she not wanna talk to you at all? Ask about your day? Wanna know about the influencer gossip you found online? None of it?
“Meanie” you pouted while nudging your chin into your palm and clacking your acrylics on the granite. She didn’t have to say it so mean, she was usually sweeter n’ sillier. But today Ellie was a big meanie.
Ellie huffed and held back a massive eye roll. She stuck her head deeper into her laptop, she had to pretend you weren’t there. This test was important to her. You were too, but this seriously mattered more. Ellie needed more money. She needed to find a better apartment to rent, she needed to be able to support you the way she wanted too, and she needed a position with better hours so she could visit Joel's grave more regularly. You knew all that, so Ellie knew your whining wasn’t from ignorance, it was from childishness. She hated indulging you when you were childish. It was bad manners.
But she also knew if this went on long enough you might start silently crying in your pillow because you felt like your girlfriend hated you. You were clearly feeling neglected by Ellie, and coupled with her little sarcastic quip just a moment ago, Ellie wouldn’t put it past you to start sniffling within the next few hours. You were so pathetic. Ellie often joked that if you weren’t human you would’ve been the little runt abandoned by your pack for being so weak and whiny. And Ellie would’ve been a large reptile; a komodo dragon, who felt bad enough that instead of eating your tiny ass she would’ve raised you. Ellie had a weird little obsession with pliocene history, and because you were dumb, with a brain full of makeup and miniskirts, it went over your head 99% of the time. But Ellie knew you well, and she knew that more than outright being ignored, you hated the feeling that you made Els upset with you. It was your little runt nature, to always seek the validation of the large cold-blooded reptile in charge of your care that could still decide to eat you if you pissed her off enough. This relationship was almost ironically engineered.
Ellie understood you way too well.
Ellie tugged at her hair, because GOD you were such a piece of work. An adorable one, but still, a piece of fucking work!
“Okay.” Ellie breathed out. She ran her palms down her jeans, and spread her thighs farther apart. When Ellie manspread like that, you knew what it meant. But you still wanted her to say it. “Come here baby, come take a seat on me.”
“You sure?” you said hesitantly. Your gaze nervously flickered between her lap and floor.
“Need my baby girl right here,” Ellie said. She cocked her eyebrow and grabbed her bulge tightly. Enticing you.
Your eyes flew open. Your mouth opened and closed repeatedly, like a gaping fish. You wanted Ellie’s attention, maybe to perch on her lap while she worked, but that movement meant something else entirely.
Ellie continued on, enjoying the surprise on your face a little too much. “Since you can’t sit still, come sit on this.” Ellie pulled her zipper down slowly, and shoved her fist in the opening; to fish out her hard cock out of her boxers, and rest it on her thigh. You gulped.
Your eyes fluttered between looking at Ellie's long shaft, and at her face. You could tell from her expression that she wasn’t bluffing. She looked very amused, and very curious as to what you’d do next. “W-what about your test?” You quipped. She lifted the base of her cock, “don’t worry about that, just come take a quick seat on this until you feel better.” You went to her lap, and nervously kept looking back at the cock she expected you to sink onto as you backed up on Ellie’s thighs. Ellie whispered “Why are you nervous princess? You’ve taken this before.”
Which made your hole flutter from the teasing smugness in her voice.
You had taken Ellie’s cock before. But after some prep, after lots of kisses from her, and after your slick was coating your engorged pussy lips from intense arousal. Not by just sitting on it while she was busy attacking a server’s exam.
Your eyes were glossy, Ellie found them so sparkly. You bunched your babydoll camisole higher up your tummy, and spread your ass cheeks. It was a good thing you loved prancing around Ellie’s apartment with no panties, it made spontaneous poundings so much easier. You lined up your hole with Ellie’s cockhead. “Good, now just sink down.” She fisted the base of her dick towards your vagina to help you. You slowly sunk onto her cock, taking it inch by inch. “Nhng, Ellie! feels too big, too big!” You clamped up as another inch forcefully popped through that tight little entrance. Ellie shushed you softly, rubbing circles in your back as she fed you her cock, until she was buried only a few inches deep. You couldn’t take her all the way down, and somehow you were so full. It felt like Ellie’s cock was pressing deep into your tummy. You had to hold back from whining to her about how her cock was definitely in your stomach, probably poking around in there. She’d shushed you for that silly idea once before and teased you for being so airheaded. Not like Ellie had expected you to have any better than a ditzy girl's understanding of anatomy anyway.
But as you felt her cock stretch you open, it was starting to feel like that again, like her cock was in your womb. It felt like Ellie was taking up all the space inside of you. She stretched your plump walls around her like you were her fleshlight. A fleshlight that was stretched to mold around every vein and ridge in Ellie’s cock.
You flexed your ass cheeks, and clamped your cunt around her cock, you tested for how much give you had to bounce up and down. But you gave up almost as soon as you tried lifting off the first time. The base of her cock was just too thick. Ellie felt stuck inside you. Like a wedding band wrapped around a chubby finger. You whimpered at the way her cockhead bumped all those squishy places inside your cunt. Ellie reassured you “Shhh don’t worry about bouncing baby, I’m nearly splitting you open. Just stay right here and get used to this angle.” Ellie turned her gaze back towards her laptop, and picked up from the last module she left off at.
Meanwhile your lower lip was trembling because your girlfriend's cock was resting inside your vagina, it was poking your cervix and rubbing along your walls in ways that made your tummy feel funny. The soreness was starting to subside but the fullness didn’t, and you wanted to move around a little bit. “E-Ellie i-it’s hard to move. No room,” you pouted over your shoulder.
“You don’t have to move, baby. You’re in timeout. Just sit and get my cock nice n’ warm.” Ellie turned her gaze back to her laptop as her other fingers drew slow circles in your lower back. It was such a brazenly lazy attempt at support, but Ellie’s main goal was to distract you — not make you feel pampered.
But you’d get that after anyway.
You tried grinding her cock in you, just to put the pressure of her cockhead in other places and not directly kissing the roof of your cunt. Ellie’s eyes flickered to where you two were connected and she thumbed the sensitive skin there. Which made you pull off slightly, you mewled at the sensitization you felt from her ministrations. Your hole was throbbing everywhere.
Ellie moaned at the sight, “you’re stretched so thin here, how did I fit inside you?”
You kept up with your poor attempts to grind n’ gyrate, so Ellie’s gaze traveled up towards your hips. She palmed your squishy ass; then skirted her fingers over your asshole. Ellie sunk her thumb into your asshole, just stopping at the first knuckle where her metal ring rested and whispered in your back. “I told you to stay baby.”
“Ellie no! Don’t touch over there!” You cried from embarrassment, you got so hot when she did that.
She smiled into your back “Why you shy cause I’m thumbing you right here? After your tiny cunt just swallowed my entire length? Please” Ellie smiled into your back.
Ellie’s attention kept jumping between completing her modules and questions and groping some sensitive part of your body. She’d mutter “You’re so tiny, wish you could see how much you’re stretched around me, plugged you up good.” Just to watch the hairs on your nape rise and watch how your hole contracted around her length from her words. Ellie rolled her narrow hips in circular motions, letting you get some little relief from the fat cock bullying your hole, by giving you some friction. The friction felt amazing on her clit too, rubbing along the puffy nub in a way that made heat pool in her belly.
Soon enough Ellie was biting back her own horny grunts, pressure building in her own cunt from the press of the harness. She kept up a slow circular grind to make her little baby feel good, and not feel so stretched out. But Ellie really considered chasing a silent orgasm for herself, it felt delicious to be in you.
You were dizzy with sensations, cock bumping your spongy g-spot just right. Your neglected clit was angry and red, but you were drunk on Ellie’s grinding. You were slurring all whiny “love your fat cock s’much Ellie. S’much ahh, love your coo-ock ahnnng.” Ellie’s hands came up to grope and squeeze your fatty tits. Because FUCK YOU for nearly making her bust after saying that. She kept grinding until your sloppy hole was doing butterflies on her cock. Slick dripping past the seal where you were wrapped around her shaft. Your hole was squeezing and releasing, over and over again as your orgasm tipped you over the edge and your toes turned pointed straight. The bottom of your fingers and palms had turned pink and red from how tight your fist was.
Ellie slowed down the grinding, she was happy enough you got your orgasm. The grinding felt nice on her clit, but she was more grateful at the fact that you might get sleepy and tap out. And she’d actually get some work done for once.
Ellie pulled you off her cock, and onto her lap. She smoothed a hand down your back as you winced when she pulled out. Your cum dribbled out of your weeping little pussy, globs of stringy cum seeped into Ellie’s pants after being plugged up by her cock. It was a mess you frequently made on Ellie after sex. It was evidence of a job well done; and a satiated princess.
You sniffled as you turned in Ellie’s embrace. “You sleepy?” Ellie asked
“Mhmmm” you moaned in her shoulder.
“I got you, you little princess. C’mon hold onto my shirt” Ellie guided your trembling hand to the collar of her button up and shushed you with sweet words about how “well you took her.” Ellie rocked you softly as she went back to her test, by the time you’d knocked out she’d completed a good chunk of her modules. She rocked you until your sniffles had quieted and you were fast asleep on her lap. She tucked her cock haphazardly into her boxers. You could sink onto it again after you woke up from your short nap.
Ellie spanked your ass, and felt the recoil jiggle against her palm. She shushed you again as you stirred from the assault. She whispered “I deserve a little treat after dealing with this bratty ass all day. I’m joking… I got you baby.”
After 45 minutes of not a single distraction to pull her attention away, Ellie completed her test. A solid 93%, way above a passing grade. Good enough to get her ServSafe certificate, and definitely good enough to start serving at her restaurant, and get better pay and better tips.
Ellie kissed the top of your head,
“Did it, peach.”
“Did’itttt wedidi...” You slurred into her chest. She smelled like sweet cologne. Your dreams were so happy.
She smiled into your hair.
Mhm yeah. We both did it.

Tumblr media
"should i do it?"
wonyoung sighed for the nth time. "y/n, you ask me this every ten minutes and i give you the exact same answer. do it! there's nothing to lose since it's anonymous."
"yeah, but i want him to know it's from me," y/n mumbled, picking at the food on her lunch tray.
"then put your name on it."
"but what if he rejects me after that?"
"then don't put your name on it."
"but i need him to know that i like him!"
"goddamn it, y/n!" wonyoung groaned, massaging her head with her hands. "at this point just confess in person. you're really stressing me out here."
y/n rolled her eyes. "but i have like a 99.999999999% chance of rejection if i do that."
"and that's why we decided to do the confession board!" wonyoung retorted. "look, we're getting nowhere with this, so i suggest that you take my advice and- you're not even listening to me."
wonyoung was right--y/n was indeed not at all listening to her. not when the yang jungwon just entered the canteen in all his glory.
crisp uniform, broad shoulders, fluffy hair, and those gorgeous eyes. yang jungwon was just as attractive as he was yesterday. and the day before. and the day before that. scratch that, since freshman year.
the first time y/n met jungwon was in freshman biology, where they were partnered up to dissect a frog. it had been a few months since they had been in the same class, but y/n never interacted with him until they were paired together for the lab. in spite of her ridiculous comments and irritatingly loud reactions, jungwon has completed the lab calmly and with ease, even caring to explain everything she had missed while revolting at the sight of their frog.
once freshman jungwon handed in their neatly written lab report and shot a reassuring (and adorable) smile to his lab partner, y/n knew that the heat rising in her face and the rapid beating in her chest meant that she had taken a liking towards this boy.
and since then, y/n had reserved her heart for the one and only boy who managed to make her tummy flutter with giddiness.
of course, that was from way back in freshman year. has she made any progress since then? absolutely not.
even though the famous decelis academy confession board had been a temptation every single year, y/n simply could not bring herself to pin her feelings on it. but after reading hundreds of anonymous confessions, y/n had decided to finally get over her hopelessness and muster up the courage to post a note of her own. she had an intricate plan set in stone:
step one - purchase blue sticky notes (because blue is jungwon's favorite color) and dog stickers (because y/n found out that he has an adorable dog after stalking his instagram)
step two - write out a heartfelt confession that does not give away y/n's identity but still shows some hints to who she is (this would take several trials)
step three - arrive at school at exactly 8:25 AM on thursday, which is when everyone is trying to get to homeroom and will not be around the confession board located next to the art studio
step four - pin the note right in the middle of the heart from valentine's day so that it's extremely hard to miss
step five - pray that yang jungwon reads it and feels the same and asks y/n out and starts dating her and proposes to her and marries her and they live in a nice house with two kids and a dog until they grow old together
well, step five was pretty unreasonable but the rest of the plan would work! as long as y/n stopped staring at jungwon and actually started to listen to her friend, who was trying to get her to even begin step one.
"if you don't do this, some other girl might snatch him away," wonyoung commented, picking up her chopsticks and pointing them at y/n accusingly. "so you better get to work."
"okay okay, i'll do it!" y/n replied with a soft sigh following her words. "i just hope he reads it."
"he will. as long as you actually make the note," wonyoung added. "you do this every single wednesday. make this one the last time this happens."
"okay, jesus. i will. oh my fucking god."
wonyoung's lips curved into a smile. "good."
Tumblr media
8:25 AM on a thursday. y/n was already at school, looking around the arts building for the confession board with her note in her hand. she had spent three hours crafting the perfect confession note for jungwon (the pile of crumpled sticky notes in her trashcan is enough proof of that), neatly writing out each word and carefully decorating it with little dog stickers.
she mentally crossed out step three of her plan as the wood border of the bulletin board came into her sight. it was perfect. an empty hallway with the lights dimmed down and no sounds of other students. this was her one chance to finally pin her confession to the board.
she smiled while looking at the board that was mere steps away. the spot smackdown in the middle of the large pink heart was empty, just as planned. the universe was most definitely on her side.
suddenly, y/n could hear footsteps coming from the opposite end of the hallway. panic rushed to her head as she quickly hid behind a wall near the board, stuffing the note in the pocket of her school blazer.
she peeked her head out to observe whoever was passing by. maybe it was just a teacher. or the janitor. or the theater director. either way, she needed the coast clear for her to pin her note.
the person turned around the corner, closing in on the confession board. y/n squinted her eyes, trying to catch any noticeable features. school uniform, broad shoulders, styled black hair- wait, was that yang jungwon?
y/n's eyes widened as she swallowed down the anxiety in her throat. why was yang jungwon at the confession board at (now) 8:26 AM on a thursday?
jungwon approached the confession board, his back facing y/n from her hiding spot. she could see him pull out something from his pocket and reach over to the container of thumbtack pins to the left of the board. was yang jungwon really posting a confession note?
y/n's suspicions were confirmed when he pushed a red pin through a pink sticky note, right in the empty space in the middle of the pink heart. she could feel her heart beating rapidly as she watched him walk away leisurely, fear creeping into her head once again.
she paused for a minute, unable to calm the pounding in her chest as she slumped against the cold wall. taking one last glance at the board, y/n pushed herself off of the wall and turned around, deciding to head to class.
a million questions were running through her head, but only one overshadowed any other thought she had: did yang jungwon just post a confession to another girl?
Tumblr media
y/n felt her frown tugging even further down her face throughout the day. of course, the confession board was a hot topic every single day--especially when someone adds a new sticky note to the board. but y/n didn’t expect that the identity of the author who wrote the latest pink sticky note would be revealed so soon.
“jungwon apparently told a classmate that he wrote it, but he won’t say who it’s to,” a student said while passing y/n’s desk.
and there was that. the mystery recipient. the person who ruined all of y/n’s plans. all she wanted to do was finally confess her feelings with the hope that they could be returned. but what was the point of doing that now when her crush had already confirmed that he has feelings for another girl?
“i think it’s to minji, she’s been talking to jungwon a lot recently.”
y/n let out a frustrated huff after hearing that. she wasn’t in the mood to listen to people talk about possible candidates for jungwon’s mystery crush, especially when she barely had any chance of filling that spot.
wonyoung could only frown sympathetically, watching her friend's gloomy state. she knew how much this confession meant to y/n, but neither of them could have predicted that things would turn out this way.
“do you wanna get food, babe?” wonyoung asked, gently rubbing y/n’s head that was face-planted on her desk. “maybe a snack will help.”
“nothing can cure what i’m feeling right now,” y/n grumbled.
“you need to get up. you’ve been stuck at your desk for almost all of our break.”
“i don’t feel like getting up.”
wonyoung sighed before standing up and stretching her arms. “come on, let’s go get you something to eat. i’ll treat you.”
y/n groaned while sliding out of her seat. “i’m only doing this for free food,” she muttered as wonyoung linked arms with her.
“yeah, yeah. whatever.”
wonyoung practically dragged y/n by the arm to get to the snack shop, trying to avoid lingering in the hallway when everyone was talking about jungwon’s note.
"did you hear that jungwon confessed to someone? he confirmed it himself!"
"i think he likes rei, she's close with his friend niki."
"it has to be to minji, she's literally the only woman he'll look at."
y/n huffed at the comments flying around her with an uneasy feeling at the pit of her stomach. it upset her to imagine jungwon with another girl, staring into her eyes with love glassed across his own. she squeezed tighter onto wonyoung's arm as they swerved through the crowd, reaching their destination as quickly as possible.
unfortunately, luck was not on their side. the person y/n least wanted to see at the moment was standing at the drinks shelf, surrounded by some of his friends--and minji.
"yang jungwon!" y/n sharply hissed at wonyoung, pulling on the sleeve of the taller girl's blazer. "yang fucking jungwon is here! with minji!"
her friend turned to glance at the said boy and girl and rolled her eyes. "ignore him, let's go get our food."
y/n allowed wonyoung to drag her to the shelf stocked with savory snacks, shooting a small glare at minji before turning her head around.
what she didn't notice was that yang jungwon had recognized her presence the moment she turned around. he held the cold watermelon soda closer to his chest in an attempt to calm his racing heart.
"i don't know why people think it's me, i'm already in a relationship," minji sighed, fiddling with the strawberry milk in her hands.
"well, you do spend a lot of time with jungwon," niki reasoned, leaning against a nearby wall. "at least in terms of girl-space-friends. he doesn't have a lot of game."
"but some people think it's rei and she doesn't spend a lot of time with jungwon," minji countered. "actually, i don't think i've seen them interact since they've been introduced to each other."
"so if it's not minji or rei, who is it?" sunoo questioned.
all three students turned to look at jungwon, who slowly snapped out of his daze. "huh?"
"who'd you write the note to, won?" minji asked.
"i don't think i can answer that," jungwon mumbled, clenching the soda can tighter. "i'd prefer to keep that private."
"come on, we're your closest friends!" niki groaned, frowning at jungwon's response. "you can tell us--in exchange, we'll help you get the girl."
jungwon paused, pondering over niki's offer for a moment with his friend's eager stares fixated on him. he let out a brief sigh before answering, "fine. i'll give you a small hint."
his friends gasped, anticipation evident on their faces. jungwon took another quick glance at y/n, who was searching for seaweed-flavored chips, and felt the fluttering feeling in his stomach once again.
"she's in this room with us. right now."
his friends looked at each other with confused expressions. "it's just us four and the cashier...and intak..and minjae...and wonyoung...and y/n," sunoo listed, scanning the entire snack shop.
"the cashier? be so fucking for real right now bro," niki scoffed with a disgusted look on his face. "she's like, 70."
"no, what the fuck?" jungwon grimaced. "i mean someone our age. who do you take me for?"
"oh, i think i know who it is!" minji exclaimed with a smile. "it's y/n, isn't it?"
jungwon widened his eyes. he could feel a sharp rush of heat to his cheeks as he gulped at the mention of her name. minji let out a small chuckle at the boy's obvious reaction.
"really? you haven't talked to her since, like, freshman year," sunoo said, judging the reaction he just witnessed.
"yeah, but she's just so- ugh, you wouldn't understand. did you know that she braids her hair when she's stressed?"
"you're such a creep," niki sighed disappointedly. "no wonder you were always staring at her in class."
"look, she was doing it in first year history during our mock exam and i asked her about it," jungwon explained before glaring at niki. "i am not a creep."
"does she know your note's for her?" minji asked.
"no, i don't think so," jungwon replied with a small frown forming on his face. "i don't even think she likes me back. i mean, i don't really talk to her so i probably just seem weird."
"a creep," niki corrected, poking jungwon's shoulder harshly. "you seem like a creep."
"shut up."
"well, we can help you talk to her again so that you can show your interest," sunoo offered while tucking his phone into the back pocket of his uniform pants. "like right now."
the pink-haired boy whipped his head around to where y/n and wonyoung were standing, who had moved onto the bakery section.
"wonyoung! y/n!"
jungwon smacked sunoo immediately after the two girls' names left his mouth. "what the fuck are you doing," he muttered, trying to clench his lips together to seem like he wasn't talking.
"uh, helping you? duh," sunoo replied with a roll of his eyes.
meanwhile, the two girls stood across the snack shop, frozen with multiple bags of snacks in their arms.
"why did jungwon's friend say our name?" y/n questioned, also clenching her lips in fear that her crush would notice her talking about his friends. "and how does he know we exist?"
"the question is actually how does he know you exist," wonyoung responded before pulling y/n's arm. "come on, let's go see what he wants."
"no!" y/n whisper-yelled. "i can't...he's there...and minji's there..."
"you'll survive," wonyoung sighed. "we're going and that's final."
ignoring her friend's protests, wonyoung dragged y/n over to the group of four. "hi sunoo, what's up?"
"nothing, jungwon just wanted to tell y/n something," sunoo replied with a grin, causing jungwon's eyes to widen in concern.
"he did?" y/n mumbled.
"i did?" jungwon whispered, shooting a glare at sunoo's smiling face.
jungwon glanced at y/n but quickly looked away, swallowing down the nervous bundle in his throat. he didn't know if he could contain himself if he looked one second longer into her curious eyes.
he cleared his throat for an unnaturally long time, causing his friends to send questioning looks towards him. "um, yeah, uh...i, well, i was wondering..."
y/n found herself slightly leaning towards the anxious boy, which only caused jungwon's heart to beat faster.
"uh...do...do you have history next?"
niki rolled his eyes while minji felt the need to facepalm herself.
y/n shot a glance at wonyoung before responding, "um, yeah. why?"
"well, uh..." jungwon felt himself breaking out in a sweat, panicking to make up an excuse. "i was...uh-"
"he wanted to offer his notes to you since he just had history," sunoo quickly covered. jungwon blinked before nodding, swallowing down his anxiety once again.
y/n's eyes widened. it was common for jungwon, an intelligent and diligent student, to offer help to people in academics. but what shocked her was the fact that he offered her his history notes--as if he knew that it was her weakest subject.
she didn't hesitate to accept the offer, sending a wave of relief over jungwon. "uh, i'll drop them off once i get back to my classroom."
"yeah, no problem. thanks for the notes!" y/n replied, shooting a small smile at the boy before allowing wonyoung to drag her to the register.
once the duo was far enough, jungwon turned around to face his friends with an excited smile curled on his face. "did you see that? she smiled at me!"
"yeah, no thanks to yourself," sunoo grumbled. "i did all the work. for free!"
"you're too awkward, jungwon," minji sighed, a pained expression on her face.
"i think you should stick to being a nerd," niki commented. "it...suits you better."
niki spent the rest of the break running away from said nerd.

y/n slumped in her seat, resting her cheek in her left hand and tapping her foot on the ground. she checked the clock above the blackboard. 10:27 AM. three minutes left for jungwon to fulfill his promise.
she let out another sigh. she didn't expect herself to anticipate much from the exchange--after all, he was just offering her his history notes. but she found herself rushing back to her classroom, waiting (and struggling to wait) for his presence at the doorframe while each minute dragged on.
10:28. a frown etched onto y/n's face. the day seemed to just get worse and worse. first, her confession was ruined by her crush himself. next, her crush proceeded to post a confession to another girl. now, her crush failed to complete a promise two minutes before her least favorite class.
another moody sigh. y/n lazily reached into her bag, pulling out her history textbook and her pencil case. she should've known to never trust men, like her mother said. all men are liars.
she slowly flipped through her textbook, feeling her frown drag down even further. the classroom was bustling with chatter, savoring the last couple of minutes before another hour long class. but here she was, slouching in her seat with a gray thundercloud above her head. she could practically visualize wonyoung looking at her pathetically from across the room.
the room came to a sudden silence. y/n sluggishly raised her head. was their history teacher here early?
there he was. yang jungwon, frozen at her classroom's doorframe with a notebook in his hand. his cheeks were flushed with a light pink as he weaved through the students, approaching y/n's desk.
y/n felt herself stop breathing. he did come to fulfill his promise, after all. huh. maybe not all men are liars.
jungwon bashfully smiled at her, gently placing his notebook on her desk. he wasn't hard of hearing, he could tell that everyone was whispering about him--more specifically, about his confession note. all he could hope for was that his crush wasn't super obvious, but he was sure that what he was doing at the moment actually made it 10x more obvious.
"um, here's my notes," jungwon said in a hushed voice, conscious of the sudden volume change. "hopefully they're useful."
"thanks..." y/n mumbled, making eye contact with the boy for a mere second before glancing away. it was too hard for her to contain the pounding feelings in her heart, especially when the yang jungwon had his eyes on her (and only her).
she could only imagine a world where he would stare at her, eyes filled with love and adoration.
"no problem," jungwon replied, noting to himself about how cute she looked today. if only he could sit next to her, one arm around her shoulder and another guiding her through the history material. he would never forgive the administrator who put them in separate classes.
"um, aren't you going to be late?"
y/n's comment snapped him out of his trance, suddenly realizing that he was still standing in front of her desk with students around him still whispering about his confession note. awkward.
jungwon shut his eyes close for a second. she probably thinks i'm a creep. niki, i guess you're right.
"uh, yeah. i'll just...i'll go now."
he mustered up a little courage to send a small wave before rushing out of the room, eyes glued to the floor in front of him.
y/n let out a quiet snicker, finding the boy's awkwardness humorous (and extremely cute). unfortunately, she realized too late that everyone's eyes were still on her and coughed unnaturally loud to cover up her previous reaction.
the sound of heels clicking caused all the students' eyes to rip away from her and immediately slide into their seats. their history teacher was finally here, ready to lead another sleep-inducing lecture.
"good morning class," the history teacher, ms. choi, announced. "please turn to page 127 of your textbooks. we're picking up where we left off from last class with the silla dynasty."
y/n reached for jungwon's notebook as the students around her searched for the page in their textbooks. she easily found the respective page of notes due to the sticky note jungwon had marked the page with.
such a cute pink, y/n thought, brushing her thumb over the familiar-colored sticky note. too bad he used it for a different girl.
Tumblr media
it was twenty minutes into the class and y/n found herself extremely bored. although jungwon's notes were perfectly organized and super helpful, y/n couldn't help but feel her attention span slowly decreasing. the textbook was boring, the content was boring, and ms. choi's voice was boring.
she decided to flip through jungwon's notebook. as expected, all of his notes were neatly written with key ideas highlighted and citations to textbook pages. what else could she expect from him?
y/n closed the notebook, running her thumb along the edge of the pages like a flipbook. the glimpses of blue highlighter partially satisfied her boredom, along with the flash of pink at the very end of the notebook. wait, pink?
y/n's curiosity got the best of her as she turned to the end of the notebook, revealing multiple pink sticky notes with lengthy paragraphs and words scratched out in black ink. being the nosy person she is, she decided to read the notes, tuning out ms. choi's monotonous voice.
i've liked you for a long time, but i haven't had the courage to confess.
oh. they were drafts of his confession note.
y/n pursed her lips, taking in a sharp breath. she swallowed down the discomfort she felt and continued to read the notes.
ever since freshman year, i've been attracted to you in so many more ways than i can describe. that sweet smile you show off to your friends. the laugh you let out at small jokes. the tenderness in your eyes as you talk with the cashier in the snack shop. i see why she said that you remind her of her granddaughter.
y/n bitterly smiled. he really likes her, huh?
i like am in love am pathetically in love with you. i feel like a lost puppy, hoping for the smallest interaction with you every single day. i wonder if you can feel my stares from across the lunch room, desperately hoping that you would happen to notice me and look back. i know we haven't talked much since freshman year, but i can't help but imagine us together.
y/n quickly diverted her eyes to a different sticky note, chewing on her lip harshly. she didn't know why, but she couldn't stop reading them, even if his words only caused her more pain.
i hope you can accept this confession, but if you don't like me back i hope we can become friends again. from, your freshman bio partner (p.s. i'm glad that we were paired up for that frog lab)
wait, frog lab? y/n's eyebrows furrowed. the only partner jungwon had for the frog dissection lab in freshman biology was...her.
y/n's heart pounded against her chest. she needed to read whatever note jungwon posted on the confession board, right fucking now.
Tumblr media
the moment the bell rang, y/n shoved all of her history materials in her bag. she didn't want to spare a minute from reaching that damned confession board that she had been avoiding since morning.
grabbing jungwon's notebook, y/n joined the crowd of students rushing towards the canteen, forgetting about wonyoung who appeared behind her.
"let's eat with rei today, hm?" wonyoung suggested.
"can't talk right now, won. i need to be somewhere," y/n responded before pushing her way through the crowd.
"y/n, wait!"
y/n ignored her friend's concerned voice, mentally making a note to apologize to her later. she ran through the halls, opposite of all the students heading towards the canteen. hugging the notebook close to her chest, she made a beeline towards the arts building, feeling the beating in her chest increase every single second.
once she arrived, she slowed down her pace, allowing herself to catch her breath and wipe off the light sweat on her forehead. there she stood in the same position she was in at 8:25 AM, right in front of the confession board littered with colorful sticky notes.
a couple of students lingered around the board, checking for any new confessions before heading to lunch. as y/n's breathing slowed down, she approached the center of the board, eyes locked on the pink sticky note posted mere hours ago.
she took a deep breath, mentally preparing herself to read the note she had been avoiding all day.
to my freshman year crush, i've liked you for a long time, but i haven't had the courage to confess. that is, until now. ever since freshman year, i've been attracted to you. your smile, your laugh, your kind personality. it's no wonder the cashier at the snack shop says that you remind her of her granddaughter. grandparents only say that to people they know have the purest, sweetest souls on earth, and you are one of them. i am utterly, pathetically, and desperately in love with you. i feel like a lost puppy, hoping for the smallest interaction with you every single day. i wonder if you can feel my longing stares from across the lunch room, hoping that you would happen to notice me and meet my eyes. i know we haven't talked much since freshman year, but i can't help but imagine us together. i wish that i had the courage to confess in person, but i'm afraid of rejection. i hope that this confession comes off well to you, and i 100% understand if you don't like me back. i just hope that we can be friends again, at the very least. from, your freshman bio partner (p.s. i'm glad we were paired up for the frog lab. as taylor swift said, i guess i was enchanted to meet you)
y/n felt her breathing stop as she finished reading the note. it was too good to be true. she needed to talk to him, to confirm with him, and to confess to him.
she wasted no time running to the canteen, earning questioning stares from the students she passed by. the canteen was busy per usual, bustling with student chatter and silverware sounds. y/n skimmed the room, eyes landing on the one person she wanted to talk to.
she rushed towards his table, avoiding the mass of lunch trays around her. "jungwon!" she called.
the said boy looked up from his table, curious round eyes meeting hers. "could i talk to you for a minute?"
jungwon nodded, standing up to follow y/n. what she didn't notice was sunoo winking at jungwon, niki mouthing a "go get her, tiger!", and minji softly smiling with pride.
jungwon followed y/n to the hallway outside of the canteen, trickling with the last students getting their lunches. y/n faced jungwon, feeling her cheeks heat up at the sight of his curious gaze.
"um, i wanted to return this to you," y/n began, handing over his notebook.
"oh, thanks," jungwon replied, taking it into his hands. he felt himself grow a little disappointed--was that all she wanted to tell me?
y/n softly cleared her throat before deciding to continue. "so, uh, this might be in invasion of privacy but i got really bored in history and looked through your notebook and i might have found your sticky notes and i might have read them...without your permission?"
"notes? what notes?" jungwon mumbled, flipping through his notebook. it only took a second of him skimming the sticky notes in the back for him to shut the notebook closed, a furious blush spreading across his face.
"and, uh, i read one that ended with 'from your freshman bio partner' or something like that and it mentioned the frog lab. and then i remembered that i was your partner during that lab but i wasn't sure if you wrote that for sure so i went to check the confession board and it said the same thing so...yeah."
jungwon was frozen, cheeks bright red with panic-stricken eyes. "so...uh, i just wanted to confirm if-"
"yes," jungwon whispered, not daring to meet her eyes. "it- it is about you..."
he squeezed his eyes shut at the sound of silence, preparing himself for rejection. he could already feel the weight in his heart getting heavier, thumping against his chest.
"i, uh, i- i like you too, jungwon."
the boy opened his eyes, shock evident on his face. he whipped his head up, now seeing a y/n with an equally flushed face not meeting his eyes.
"y- you do?"
"yeah," y/n mumbled, a shy smile spreading on her face. "i really, really like you."
jungwon couldn't help but smile back, trying his best to contain the butterflies practically swarming in his stomach.
"so, um, i was actually planning to confess to you today," y/n admitted, earning a surprised reaction from jungwon. "but i saw you post your note on the confession board first and i got scared because...well, i thought that you confessed to someone else."
y/n reached into her blazer's pocket, pulling out the crumpled blue sticky note that she had been hiding the whole day. "i guess i'll just give it to you now since...well, yeah..."
she quickly flattened out the sticky note before handing it to jungwon, who gently took it with a small smile.
to jungwon, i've liked you for so long but i've finally decided to confess. since freshman year, you've been nothing but kind to me. i felt myself melt into a puddle every single time you shot a smile at me or offered your help with something. i can’t help but admire your charming appearance, your charismatic leadership qualities, and the smile that you give to every person alike. you’re loved by so many people and i happened to fall into that same crowd. i know you most likely do not feel the same but i hope that we can talk more, the way we did back in freshman year. from, anonymous
jungwon couldn't help the shy grin growing on his face. every word written completely erased all the anxious emotions he had in his head. this is what it feels like, he thought. this is what it feels like to be loved back.
jungwon didn't need to say anything. he simply took y/n's clammy hand into his, intertwining their shaking fingers together. no words were needed after they had spent hours of their lives writing out their feelings for each other. they shared a smile, feeling secure together and lovingly gazing into each other’s eyes.
for the first time for the day, y/n was glad that jungwon had interrupted her confession, pining his heart on the board so that she could give him hers.

“hellooo? earth to ami?” you wave your hand in front of your friend’s face. she was laser focused on her switch, music blasting in her headphones as she plays the new zelda game. she gives you one glance “yeah?” she says, pausing the game and taking off one headphone.
“i’m gonna shower. where do you keep the towels?”
“hallway closet. if not, ask rintarou” she puts her earphone back in, zoning back into her game. you sigh, walking out of her room and into the hall. she took her video games seriously. you open the cabinet, eyes squinting for a towel to use. oh great, of course the best ones were on the top row. you huff.
“what’cha doin?” a low voice rumbles from behind you. you keep yourself from practically jumping out of your skin. “jesus, rintarou. stop sneaking up on me like that!” you smack his arm playfully. he just smiles. he loved your reactions to him.
he was shirtless, skin glistening in fresh sweat. it was clear he just got done with a workout. your eyes wander down his chest.
“where’s ami?” he asks, his voice a little quieter than usual. your eyes draw back to his, raising your brows. “playing games in her room… why?” you cross your arms over your chest, looking up at the taller man. he just reaches over you to grab a towel you were looking for. he smelled like a mix of his cologne and sweat, it was dizzying.
“i wanted the pink one…” you pout as he hands you the white towel. he shrugs, taking it for himself. “i’ll take this one then.” he grabs you the pink towel you wanted, a smile growing on your face. “and what do you mean by that?” you hug the fluffy towel to your chest, your eyes raking over his handsome features.
it had been three days since you and him had your moment in the kitchen. the marks on both of you almost completley faded by now. the only thing left of that night was the lingering memory of his touch.
he grabs your hand, leading you into the big hallway bathroom, shutting the door and locking it. you carefully place the pink towel down on the spacious counter, but rintarou had other ideas.
“c’mere” he grabs you by the waist, slamming his mouth into yours, leaning you against the sink. the bathroom echoed with your small noises of enjoyment.
“always so loud” he reluctantly pulls away, making you pout. he quickly turns on the shower to cover your noise. in a flash, his mouth is back on yours. your hands go to his bare chest, pressing against his hard muscles. he smiled at this.
the hot steam of the shower slowly filled the room, reminding you of what you even came in here to do. his hands reach for your top, you help him peel it off over your head. your own nervous hands reach at his workout shorts, pushing them down his hips to leave him in his boxers. fuck, he was hard already.
“don’t wanna make a mess again, c’mon.” you clench at the memory of him fucking you on the counter downstairs just a few nights ago. once you’re both stripped completely, he makes sure your towels are close to the shower as he steps into the hot pouring water. your arms cover your chest when you follow him in, a bit self conscious. he holds your elbow to help you get under the sprinkling water.
the water poured over his head, his hair slicked to his face. you admired how good he looked with the droplets falling down his face to his neck to his chest, all the way down to his hard cock and the trimmed brown hair surrounding it.
he held your face in his hands, studying you. it made your face flush.
“you’re so pretty” his thumb brushes over your bottom lip, dragging it down before letting it go.
“you’re prettier” you reply, looking up at him blissfully. he just chuckles.
“not a chance” he leans in for another kiss, this time a little more slow and heartfelt. it made your insides feel hot when his hands move down your body. you gasp softly as his hands palm your ass, bringing you closer to him. he slowly grinded his arousal into your thigh, making you whine. you just wanted him inside already.
he groans when you take his hard cock in your hand, gently rubbing your thumb up and down the slit before stroking him, making him hiss.
“can i? please rin.” you give him pleading eyes, begging to let you suck him off in the shower. he groans.
“i don’t wanna hurt your pretty knees, baby.” his large hands comfortably rub your hips. you just roll your eyes.
“i don’t care. just want it in my mouth.” you give him a peck on his lips, then his neck, then his chest. going all the way down to the base of his cock. you lower yourself on your knees, ignoring the sting of the hard floor against your sensitive skin.
you give his head small kitten licks, focusing on the tip where you know he was most sensitive. you slowly take him into your mouth, bobbing your head back and forth before taking him almost all the way in. he was just so big! your eyes watered when he hit the back of your mouth, using your small hand to wrap around the rest that wouldn’t fit.
“fuckk.” the back of his head hits the shower wall with a small thump, but he was more caught up in the pleasure of your mouth sucking him off. his hands grip your hair, making you moan around him. he curses at the vibration of your throat around him. you notice, softly humming to keep the rumble around him.
he had to hold himself back from grabbing your face and fucking your mouth, not wanting to hurt you. his hips stuttered as your mouth moved up and down his shaft, trying to copy what you've seen in videos.
your free hand reached down, rubbing your clit. you couldn’t help it, the view of him losing himself in your mouth was just too much for you to handle. you’d imagined this so many times, the taste of him. everything. you hollow your cheeks, trying to get him as deep as you could without choking.
“s-stop or i’m g-gonna cum, fuck!” he practically whines, his eyes on you. you were so wet just from his sounds. you just take him deeper, ignoring the burning ache in your jaw. you could taste the saltiness of his precum on your tongue, your fingers moving in rhythm on your clit.
it takes all of his willpower, but he pulls you off of him, groaning at the string of spit and precum dripping from your mouth. you frown. he just runs his hand through your wet hair, panting.
“i wanna finish with you, baby. i’ll let you taste me properly another time, yeah?” you nod as he pulls you back up on your feet, holding you so you don’t fall from your shakey knees.
he kisses you again. god, he could do this forever. his cock was still hard, red and raging from all the stimulation. it practically twitched at the thought of being inside you again when it brushes against your wet thigh.
he grabs your hips, slamming you against the cold shower wall with pure hunger on his mind. the sight of you touching yourself while sucking him off making him almost cum at the thought. he was utterly obsessed with you.
he starts to kiss down your jaw to your neck, starting to suck small marks into your skin.
“no marks!” you scold him. he just pouts, nuzzling his head into your neck. he understood why, but he just wished he could let everyone know you were his, though he’d never admit it.
he hesitently pulls back, hiking your leg to wrap around his hip. fuck. he couldn’t tell if you were more wet from the actual water from the shower or from his touch. it was mostly from him.
he lines himself up with your hole, his tip poking at your entrance. “you ready?” he asks, rubbing his cock between your folds, making you mewl.
“yes, please just put it- fuck!” you practically scream as he sinks himself into your needy pussy, holding back a loud groan himself. you felt even better than before. or maybe he just missed your cunt so much.
“shh. you’re almost louder than the shower…” he rasped out, holding onto your hips for dear life. he started moving, setting a mouth watering pace. the way his tip brushes your g spot with every deep thrust makes your head loll back onto the shower tile.
you couldn’t tell if it was the steam from the hot shower, or the way he was pounding into you that was making you so hazy. probably both.
you couldn’t control the little whimpers and moans coming from your mouth, thankful that the shower was loud enough to cover up your small sounds.
suddenly, there was a knock at the door and a call of your name.
“what is taking you so long?! i need to shower too girl!” ami yells from outside the door. your eyes widen, rintarou immediately covering his own mouth with his hand. he was still balls deep inside of you, trusts slowing down, but not stopping.
“s-sorry! just had to wait for the water to heat up!” you shout back, she just groans.
“whatever, i’ll just use the other shower.” you could hear her voice receding down the hall. you let out a breath you didn’t even realize you were holding in.
“we really need to find better places to fuck.” he comments, his pace quickening again.
“you’re the one who- f-fuck- dragged me in here.” you pant, your tits bouncing at the way he fucked you against the cool tile.
“don’t act like you didn’t want this. pussys practically sucking me in.” he adds.
“fuck” he mumbles, looking down at where you two met. the way you could see the buldge of his cock through your belly everytime he entered you. he placed his hand over it.
he lowers his mouth to your tits, taking one in his mouth, gently biting and sucking, making you moan. he switches between them until he’s satisfied, making you squeeze around him.
“so fucking hot.” he growls, holding onto your leg to bring it higher so he can fuck you even deeper. he was close, his cock pulsing inside of you.
“m’ cuming!” you cried out, holding onto his shoulders for support, nails digging into his skin. you rut your hips to meet his own thrusts in absolute bliss, vision getting blurry with tears as you clench around him, his dick fitting so perfectly inside of you, making you feel so fucking good.
“right there with you, baby. w-where can i-“ he starts, his pace stuttering. his brows were furrowed in concentration.
“inside rinn, please please please!” you begged, locking your leg around his hip to bring him deeper. he moans, his hot seed filling you to the fucking brim. your eyes squeeze shut at the feeling of his cock pumping cum inside of you.
he kisses you through your orgasms, swallowing all your moans along with his own. you pull away, dizzy with lust, panting heavily.
he pulls his cock out of you with a groan, the mixes of your release dripping down and washing away almost instantly in the water.
he kisses your cheek, soothing you. “let’s wash up, pretty girl.”

Gojo's and (y/n)'s daughter buying a prom dress for her because she never had one
Tumblr media
Pairing: husband!Gojo x reader; daughter x reader
Word Count: 1,5k
Synopsis: When you told your little one about the fact that you never got to wear a prom dress, it was clear for your husband and daughter they needed to change that for your birthday.
Warnings: fluff overload, Gojo and daughter are sweetheart, obviously reader wasn't able to afford a prom dress back then so if you get triggered by a rough past don't read, tell me what you thiiiink 🤍
Tumblr media
„I can’t wait to wear one of them!“
You follow the tiny index finger of your 4 year old daughter, darting directly into the store window you already stopped by countless times. Gently you rub her head, get lost in the eyes that remind you so much of your loving husband.
“Which one do you like best, huh?”
“What a hard question…”, she mutters, eyes fixated on the countless dresses displayed.
It is indeed. Would you rather wear the tight black dress with a breathtakingly beautiful back? Or what about that princess dress in the front with the glittery sleeves? Oh, how much you’d love to just get in there and try all of them on, feel like a princess once again. While you did get the chance to wear something beautiful on your wedding day, you were never able to do so as a teen by actually wearing a prom dress.
“Did your prom dress look like one of these?”
You can’t supress the silent sting in your heart and bittersweet smile creeping up your face.
“I never had a prom dress, honey”, you explain gently.
The face of your daughter drops immediately, brain visibly running hot by the sheer thought of you not having a prom dress.
Despite your good financial situation now that you’ve worked hard for, you weren’t that lucky when you were young. A prom dress is expensive, a luxury not everyone is able to afford. And that everyone was your family.
“But why?”, your daughter cries out.
You kneel down to meet her eye to eye, fighting for your composure. It might be silly, but you always longed to wear a beautiful dress to a ball, to feel like a princess for a night. When apart from your prom and wedding do you even have an excuse for something like that? You missed that chance, it shouldn’t bother you-
But it kind of does.
“You know, when I grew up, my parents didn’t have as much many as your daddy and I have now. A prom dress is really expensive and not as important as paying rent and something to eat.”
“But weren’t you sad?”
“I was. And it still makes me sad”, you admit.
“But it’s okay not to get everything you want, it’s okay to cut back. And it heals me to know that I’ll buy my little princess the prettiest prom dress ever.”
With a swift motion, you pull her body closer to yours and rub your nose against hers the way it always makes her giggle.
Yes, after all, you have a family now. And that is worth way more than a prom dress.
-Later that evening-
“Okay young lady, time to go to bed”, Satoru announces playfully after giving you a kiss on the cheek, lifting his child up with ease to carry her into her room followed by heartfelt laughter.
“Daddy, I need to talk to you in secret.”
Satoru tilts his head to the side, the sudden seriousness in his daughters’ eyes being so unknown to him.
“Got ya.”
With dramatically silent steps he closes the door behind him and returns to his daughters’ bed, raising his eyebrows to show her he’s listening.
“Mommy and I walked past a shop today and she told me she never wore a prom dress!”
“Oh, really? She didn’t even tell me about that”, Satoru replies with the same outrage in his voice.
“And she looked…sad. So I thought I could buy Mommy a prom dress for her birthday to make her feel better.”
It takes all of his strength to not melt away in an instant. What a little angel is daughter is, how sweet of her to even consider something like this even though she’s only 4 years old. Oh, how much he’d love to see you in a gorgeous gown as well, maybe even take it off after your birthday...
“What a great idea kiddo! Okay, let’s make a plan. How should we call it?”
“Operation enchanting elegance!”
“Okay, well…I wanted to say operation prom dress but that sounds better I guess”, Satoru replies.
“Hear me out: Tomorrow when Mommy’s at work, we’ll sneak into that shop and you’ll pick the dress for her.”
“Deal!”
-your birthday-
“Mommy, Mommy! You need to wake up, it’s your birthday.”
“She’s right, you have to wake up babe”, the oh so familiar voice of Satoru purrs against your ear.
So you really have no chance, huh? Slowly your lids flutter open, a bright smile already plastered on your face.
And get greeted by your daughter and husband dressed in matching unicorn jumpsuits, holding the tackiest cake in their hands you’ve ever seen. Oh god.
“You guys…”, you giggle out, on the brink of losing your composure completely.
You definitely do when both of them begin to sing a very wrong sounding happy birthday. How is it even possible that your very own child heals your inner one? Those outrageous birthday parties, the endless affection you never knew. Warmth radiates from your heart all over your body, your glossy orbs catching the gaze of your already staring husband.
It’s because of him. The man who came into your life so unexpectedly, the man who swept you off your feet before you even knew how powerful he is. Satoru is your best friend, your partner in crime, your safe space. And most importantly he is the love of your life, the father of your daughter, your husband.
And nothing will ever be greater than this.
“Quiet now daddy, I’ll give Mommy her present!”
“Honey, I told you over and over you don’t have to get me something. You’re my greatest present.”
“After me”, Satoru mumbles with a sly grin, his hand gently caressing your cheek while your daughter drags the biggest box you’ve ever seen behind her.
“I love you babe.”
“I love you more”, you reply, pulling him down into a passionate kiss.
God, how much you love that man. Despite all the things he’s been through, despite all the responsivity his broad shoulders hold, Satoru never misses to show you his affection even though you’ve been together for so long now. He makes you feel loved, makes you feel special like on day one.
Not only on your birthday.
“Open it! Open it!”
“Wow, this is pretty heavy”, you comment in utter surprise.
What on earth is in there?
“Open it”, your husband begins to demand as well, his eyes glowing like the ones of his tiny daughter next to him.
These two…What are they up to again? Is it a prank gift, one of those strange souvenirs Satoru loves to bring you from his missions? Or is it something disgusting, like the ran-over rat she gifted you last time?
You open the box, ready to be greeted by literally anything.
But not by a gorgeous gown.
“You can’t be serious”, you breathe out.
What a nice glittery fabric, you never felt something this soft in your entire life. With a swift motion you get out of bed, pulling the dress out in order to see it in its full glory. This is everything you ever imagined, the one dress that caught your eye in that one show window every single time.
The show windows.
“You really bought me a prom dress?”, you cry out.
You don’t care about how pathetic you must look now. This gown is gorgeous, way better than anything you could have worn back then.
“You said you never wore a prom dress so I needed to buy you one”, your daughter explains proudly.
There is no time to waste. Faster than she’s able to react you kneel down in front of her, devouring her body with yours.
“You’re an angel my baby”, you mumble into her soft hair while she grabs your face gently and wipes your falling tears away.
“No, I’m your daughter Mommy!”
“Now try it on, Momma.”
“You are the best husband ever, Satoru…”
“Tell me something I don’t know. Now come on, show us that dress!”
“Yes Mommy, show us the dress!”
You suddenly feel so overwhelmingly special. Wearing a gorgeous gown in your bedroom, surrounded by your husband and daughter cheering for you. Is this really your life? If it’s a dream you never want to wake up again.
“You really look like a princess”, your daughter shouts in excitement, clapping into her little hands.
You can’t help but stretch out your arms, embrace her into a tight hug again. Oh, you truly don’t deserve your precious little family, you don’t deserve all the things they do for you.
“I love you…”
“…to the moon and back”, your daughter ends your sentence like she always does.
“You look pretty hot, babe…”, Satoru purrs in front of you, his eyes darken just the way you love it.
“Wait until evening.”
Bonus:
"How much money do you have?", Gojo questions while standing in front of the checkout.
"I've got...This two coins!"
"Those are 2 cents...You know we can't afford a dress from that, right?"
"That's why I take you with me Daddy!"

I see a lot of people talking about what Chloé and Kim did, and I think I'm missing something? What did they do?
In a more recent episode "Derision," (sloppy sum up below)
its discovered that the reason Marinette is so stunted, awkward, and generally staccato about dating Adrien in spite of genuinely liking him, is because she was a major victim of Chloe's the year prior. During that year, Chloe threatened anyone who would attempt to befriend her, isolating Marinette completely, only having a friend in a girl named Socqueline who would relentlessly defend her.
At the time, Marinette had a crush on Kim, and so Chloe, knowing Kim loves pranks, had him "prank" her at the pool as a fake confession. As Kim offered a fake, heartfelt confession in return for Marinette's own, he gifted Marinette a box full of spiders, causing her to flip out and fall into the pool from the high end. Sabine and Chloe were filming the whole thing, and planned on posting it on social media to openly mock her. The only thing stopping them is Socqueline, who legitimately kicks the phone out of Chloe's hands.
This leads into why Marinette is so bad at confessions. After a year of being harassed, bullied, and isolated, she takes a chance on love, and is only horrifically and publicly mocked. Her attitude towards Adrien makes more sense with this context - deeply and passionately loving him, but constantly hesitating on the last step, as last time was so devastating. She's got some severe trauma around confessing and connecting with love interests, as she assumes they're always going to mock her in the end.
I really wish this episode had been planned earlier in the series, because it DOES give good insight as to how bad Marinette had it, and would've been great context for the audience. Not long after, Socqueline had to move away, too, so Marinette had to rebuild her entire social network from the ground up, with several people in the class who didn't mind humiliating her for their own amusement.
Also I really liked Chat Noir/Adrien going sicko mode on Kim. PLEASE kill that boy Adrien. I am BEGGING YOU. He tries to cataclysm Kim in the fucking face. I was thrilled. I thrive off negativity
Using this as groundwork in the dad villain au, having all that shit happen to Marinette alongside losing Sabine essentially made her go "wow I am going to quit school and work at my dad's business. bye" which is super ironic because that is ALL gabriel wants adrien to do lmao

ᴘᴀɪʀɪɴɢ: neteyam x metkayina male reader
Tumblr media
ꜱᴜᴍᴍᴀʀʏ: As Neteyam settles in with the Metkayina, he too falls for their golden boy and finds that they have a lot in common.
part 2 ~ ᴡᴏʀᴅ ᴄᴏᴜɴᴛ: 6677
ᴡᴀʀɴɪɴɢꜱ: little angsty and existential
Tumblr media
ᴍᴀʏʙ'ꜱ ɴᴏᴛᴇ: there's a part 2 coming up, pretty different from part 1, in fact i came up with part 2 before part 1. also been working on this since the tsireya fic, 3 days ago.
☾⋆☆⋆☽
His name was (y/n). Or at least, that's what Neteyam had heard, and he had heard about him a lot in his short time in Awa'atlu. He, however, hadn't gotten the chance to speak with him.
The Metkayina liked him. Even Ronal, the bitter Tsahìk that so very hated Neteyam's family, and Tonowari treated him like one of their own. Though he supposes that in Ronal's eyes, all except for the Sully's were "her own" (Neteyam was a respectful kid, raised to be, but even Ronal drew some bitter thoughts he'd never disclose).
It wasn't exactly hard to tell that he was a special person to the clan, like any part of him could be weaved into anybody's songcord.
Neteyam watched from afar as he dismounted from his ilu. As he dug his toes into the sand of the shore, several people greeted him at once. He met each one with their name and a heartfelt grin.
Neteyam once knew what it was like to be loved by everyone in his clan, once knew each of their names, once knew how long it took to greet every single one as each just had to greet him. Once, he had greeted each one just as graciously. As time flew by, it felt like another one of his duties. Now, he no longer did at all. He missed it, strangely.
Then, as you finally turn to him, your smile falls. It wasn't like most others when they saw his dark blue skin and leaner physique; your lips didn't form a scowl. Instead, you flashed him a small smile before turning away.
Somehow, it looked kinder. Neteyam didn't know how.
He didn't really need to, anyway. All he needed was to keep up the formality, greet you with a smile just like the rest, because this would be the farthest your interactions would go.
After all, as far as the Metkayina were concerned, he was a demon and you were their golden child.
☾⋆☆⋆☽
Whilst Ronal and Tonowari treated you like one of their children, your relationship with their actual children was unknown to Neteyam.
And certainly to Lo'ak.
The Sully brothers watched on as the golden child and the Tsahìk-to-be bantered.
Tsireya was to be giving them lessons on Metkayina life, but it seems she was too distracted for that. She laughed at your joke, her grin wide and mouth uncovered, and you laughed along with her. Truly, it was a sight to be hold, the gold of the Metkayina shining brightly. It was almost blinding.
As you continued down the beach, still so far from the Sully's but close enough for prying eyes, Lo'ak scoffed. Neteyam turned to his brother with confusion and began to speak, but Lo'ak beats him to it. "Do you think they're like siblings or something else?"
"Why would you care?" In truth, Neteyam knew exactly why Lo'ak cared. As the older brother he was, he just wanted to him admit it. On his end, there was a curiosity digging at his chest, but he was too polite to go digging for the truth.
Sensing his brother's underlying intentions, Lo'ak comes up with another reason. "If we're going to be living here for the rest of our lives, I think I have a reason to care."
For the rest our lives. Right. Neteyam wasn't going back. He clears his throat, a new mischief in his tone, "If you want to know so badly, ask them yourself."
"What?" Lo'ak exclaims rather loudly, catching the attention of those around him. It seems he doesn't care, though. "No way, bro!"
It catches Tsireya's attention as well and Lo'ak doesn't notice. She looks towards the two of them, her–no, Lo'ak specifically, Neteyam can tell. Her big eyes seem somewhat worried. She turns towards you, suddenly nervous, and the two of you exchange a few more words before you make your way towards them with quicker strides whilst Tsireya tags along more calmly.
Neteyam sort of knows then that Lo'ak and Tsireya will be alright.
When the two of you are close enough, Tsireya's first focus is on his brother. When he moves his gaze more towards the two of you, he finds your eyes to be on him.
You meet him with that small smile again and he feels the need to return it with his own.
"This is (y/n)." Tsireya introduces you. You give a small wave. "He has graciously offered himself today to be my assistant."
"Hold on, assistant?" You pause, putting a hand on her shoulder and veering her towards you.
"Remember, you're not supposed to be here." She replies with a kind of sass Neteyam hadn't really expected, considering the previous breathing lessons he'd gotten from her.
"But I can be," You bite back, "and I am."
She shakes her head at you and pushes your hand away from her shoulder. "Co-teacher."
"yay!"
Tsireya rolls her eyes but otherwise ignores you. "Trust me, he's a very good rider and teacher. I think you'll do well under his guidance. Follow me."
When the family makes it into the water, even the generally displeasing Ao'nung and Rotxo greet you kindly, an action that makes Lo'ak's hairy eyebrows raise with shock. Neteyam simply brushes it off as one of the things you sort of do to people.
The class starts off first with a demonstration on the positioning, done by you of course. Tsireya said that since you'd so kindly offered yourself once, you could do it again.
Afterwards, you broke off into separate one on ones.
Neteyam watched Lo'ak obviously be paired up with Tsireya, then he made sure Tuk was safely away from Ao'nung and his friends. Lastly, he wondered which one of them would teach him; although, it didn't seem like he'd have to wonder for long.
"Hello." You greet him. It's the first time you greet him verbally, let alone the first ever word you direct towards him.
He gulps, his words suddenly stuck in his throat. "Hey."
Your following interaction isn't so awkward because he doesn't have to say anything.
Neteyam follows as per your teachings. At first, it doesn't seem very different from riding his ikran, aside from the lack of death risk. Even after seeing his brother fail rather miserably, he retains some confidence.
However, all of it comes crashing down after his first try… and then his second and third. Frustration begins to build within him and you can sense it.
"Ma Neteyam," You snap your fingers and finally gain his attention, "it's alright. Nobody gets it on their first try."
He nods to himself and rolls his shoulders, preparing for another try; but you place a hand atop his where it holds the ilu. Instead of saying anything, you simply offer him a look. Your eyes are a deep blue, he notices, expressive in the way that he can tell silently that you believe in him. He looks away before he gets too lost.
He grips onto the Ilu and lowers himself over its body. He feels its breath and imitates its strength to hold onto its body tighter.
This time, he won't fail. This time, he'll impress you.
Neteyam takes a deep breath and leads the ilu into a dive.
The rush of speed feels exhilarating, it reminds him of flying on his ikran for the first time. The water surrounding him rushes past his body refreshingly like the air when he flies; but water is denser, and just like air, it tries to push him off. He grips onto the ilu tighter with both his hands and calves. Knowing that he is resisting something so strong, and well at that, feeds into his excitement.
He feels the ilu's strength like it is his own and grips tighter, but slowly, he feels his resistance to the current slipping.
Suddenly, he thinks: he can't make a fool of himself.
So, he holds onto the grip and pulls. Despite him and Neteyam not being familiar with each other, the ilu understands and comes to a sharp stop that nearly has Neteyam falling over backwards, but he holds on.
Far away from you, Neteyam emerges with the widest grin he's worn in a long time. He raises his fist and can't help but to let out one of his cries from home. "Ìley!"
"Ìley!" His joy grows as you mimic the foreign cry in celebration with him, "Neteyam!"
☾⋆☆⋆☽
Neteyam initially thought you would leave your interactions curt and only speak with him when necessary. He did try to keep up a positive outlook, that the Metkayina would eventually come to see him and his family as part of the clan, but it seemed far off.
Whilst Tsireya stayed with them to explore the ocean, you had other duties to attend to. Eventually, you had to bid him farewell. It wasn't with an excuse, nor with a "goodbye", it was with a "see you later".
Maybe he was digging too far into simple farewells, but those words felt like a promise.
The promise, however, wouldn't be fulfilled soon; and it isn't until the day after that you finally get to talk again. Even then, the next day gave way to the eclipse, and after that, he couldn't find you.
Just as he gave up and began the walk back to his family, he encountered you accidentally.
Though he sought you out for the better half of the day, he didn't know what to do now that he had you alone. So, too awkward to say anything, he sat down on the knitted pathway above you and watched.
As expected, you notice his presence but do not turn to him yet, too preoccupied with feeding your companion.
"I'm sorry I haven't talked to you in a while, Neteyam."
"It's alright," He empathizes with the shake of his head, "you're a popular guy."
"Am I now?" You snicker.
"I haven't been here for long, but I can tell."
"I'd rather call myself busy. But truly, I'm sorry. First it was Ao'nung today wanting to explore the ocean with me, then it was Tsanten wanting to test my hunting skills again." You sigh, clearly exhausted after everything that's happened today. "You know, sometimes I think it's just an excuse to hunt with me."
Neteyam was simply content in hearing you talk, you did something that just made simple sentences so entertaining, but you turn to him and hand the conversation over. "I didn't get to talk much about it with you yesterday, so how was riding your ilu?"
"It's strangely like flying an ikran," He zones out while he collects his thoughts, "which is something I miss. I think I like it so much because it feels like I'm defying something that wants so badly the opposite. It feels like I'm fighting gravity and succeeding. You know, I found and trained my ikran. No offense, but it doesn't really feel the same when you didn't find your companion, like my ilu."
With that said, he looks to you again. You watch him with attentive eyes that made him feel so seen... It kind of makes him nervous. He looks away, embarrassed, "Sorry, I'm ranting."
"No, it's alright."
"Okay, well, um, I like the rush too. Going so fast is really fun—sorry, I'm," He shakes his head at himself, for he was being impolite. "talking too much."
"Neteyam, it's alright, really." You reassure him, wading over and placing a hand next to his. "I like listening to you."
"Oh."
It was meant to be encouragement so that he'd continue speaking without shame, but now he quiets down. Heat begins to pool in his cheeks and Neteyam wants to drench them in water, but not only would he have to get in the water with you, it would also be akin to splashing water over magma.
"Sorry, that was–Su, I'll get to you later."
"Su?" Neteyam's curiosity overpowers his awkwardness and he turns to look.
"Short for Syulang." Seeing as he was more interested in you now, you allow your ilu to get the attention she wants. She digs her mouth into your palms, vigorously searching. "Su, you already got your dinner. I don't have anything else for you."
You raise your hands in the air, showing her that they're empty. When she sees them, she almost seems to roll her eyes at you. Instead, she huffs and leaves like a toddler having a tantrum.
Out of the corner of his eye, Neteyam catches a tsurak. It looks ominous and angry, only showing its eyes above the surface. He has half the mind to point it out until you say something that catches the tsurak's attention. "Zìk, I know you're around here somewhere."
The tsurak swims over sort of begrudgingly and passively accepts your pets.
"Zìk? Like tìngäzìk?" Neteyam asks.
"Yeah, actually." You snicker, "Tìngäzìk is quite the problem. He was pretty hard to tame. Most of them are, anyway, so maybe I'm a little too on the nose. Nowadays, though," After you feed Zìk, he actually seems to be enjoying your touch; or maybe the fish is still in his mouth and he's enjoying that. "he does seem to like me. Not that I really know."
Something else interests him. "I thought only those that completed their iknimaya could tame one."
"You'd be right."
"So you have completed it? But you're so–" He cuts himself off with a cough, as he hadn't realized just how rude it'd be to say that.
"Young? Yeah, I know. Everybody loves to tell me." You brush it off with the shake of your head; it's a relief. "How about you? Have you completed it?"
"No, I've yet to complete my Uniltaron." Something in the back of his mind vaguely reminds him that the Metkayina don't have a Uniltaron. "My mom is afraid of me doing it because of how badly my father was hurt while he did it."
"Ough," You wince, "what is it?"
"Singing." Neteyam chuckles, "I don't know how my dad got hurt during that."
"The great Jake Sully, huh?" You ignore Zìk's idle gnawing at your hand and hop up to sit next to Neteyam. "Anyway, the Metkayina have a different iknimaya. When I completed the trials, I got this."
When you pull your necklace up to show him the tattoo on your chest, Neteyam gasps softly. His eyes seem glued to the sight. It's rather cute.
"It's so cool..." He subconsciously traces a finger over the ink, not realizing just how intrusive he was being. He doesn't, however, miss how soft your skin feels. The tattoo looks like a heart to him, the kind his father had taught him to be the symbol of love for the sky people. "What does it mean?"
"It means "loved by the people", it more than displays a characteristic of mine, it's also a wish for it to stay that way forever."
He purses his lips, "And "the people" are?"
"The Metkayina, of course." As if Neteyam needed another reminder that the Metkayina didn't like him. He frowns, only with enough conscience to make it small so that you may not see.
"...but I'm open to anyone's love."
If that was targeted, Neteyam chooses not to believe it.
☾⋆☆⋆☽
Neteyam never thought he'd miss home. He thought he'd always be with the Omatikaya.
Maybe this is how Kiri feels, like an outcast. He had listened to her multiple times over their life together, listened to how different she felt, and had never understood. After all, the two of them were surrounded by their people, the Omatikaya. Where their shelter in the mountains was, they were, and they were truly what home was.
But now that he lived within the Metkayina, he feels so out of place. It feels just like what Kiri described: being surrounded by her people but still feeling so different from them. The Metkayina and him were of the same species, they were all Na'vi, but at the same time, they were different. It wasn't just that either. All those people knew each other, thought themselves family, while he watched from the sidelines.
He missed home.
He's suddenly interrupted by you sitting next to him, although you don't seem intent on sitting idle for long. "Kxì, Neteyam."
"Kaltxì." He greets simply.
"Do you want to explore the ocean today?"
"Fpvìl..." He trails off, just to seem as though he was considering it. He really didn't want to do much in the ocean today, or on the shores. He felt rather dispirited. "Not really."
"Oh, well." You don't let the rejection last long. "How about the jungle, then?"
The jungle? Neteyam suddenly perks up, eyes wide and hopeful. "Can we?"
Ever since he caught a glimpse of a possible pathway within the dense tree line, he's wanted to go inside. Still, he wasn't so sure if he was really allowed to. His father would probably call it a distraction in the path of discipline, as Jake wanted to make sure his children fit in so their differences could be overlooked.
He thought you were just an excuse to go against his father's word and explore the jungle; except, you were more than that.
"Of course."
The island's jungle was nothing like that of the mainland. The trees, for one, were much more sparse; the shrubbery crowding the ground was short and the humidity was much harsher. It reminded him of home, though, and it was the closest thing he would have here.
However, the jungle was still beautiful. It was home to a variety of plants Neteyam had never seen before, and each had their own charm. There was a particular plant that resembled a giant fern, he couldn't really name it. Their stems were intertwined at the base and spread outward at the top, fading from blue to orange. Their leaves were ginormous, growing like feathers, and blue at the end. The plant's blue reminded him of the moonlight at home. Other plants, like fan-like flowers, deserved their own admiration too.
It didn't take long to reach the heart of the jungle. Even though the ocean was far, just like the people inhabiting it, the island embraced water. Wide waterfalls from the mountains and cascades all flowed into a center lake, their humidity forming rainbows anywhere he looked.
Finally, Neteyam took a seat and simply admired. You sat next to him. "I'll never get tired of this."
"You've been here before?" He asked.
"Mhm." You nodded, "Many times, actually. It's a good escape, this place, away from the people."
"I thought they loved you."
"They do, just.." You sigh, slouching slightly. "they're a bit overwhelming at times, you know?"
"Oh, yeah." He chuckles at the thought. He hadn't experienced it in what felt like a long time now; it was only a couple weeks in reality. He missed it, as annoying as it was at times.
"You do?" You ask, somewhat shocked.
"My father is Jake Sully." He said, as if it explained it all. It didn't, though, so he continued. "Everybody wanted to know what he was doing; and then, he was Olo'eyktan and I was, in turn, "prince". Everybody wanted to know what I was doing. Everybody wanted to talk to me and everybody had something to say."
"It's the same for me." You stretch your toes in the water and lean further back along the lake's shore. Neteyam hears a couple joints crack. "Ah, it's nice being on your own sometimes."
"But it doesn't feel the same once you've been alone for too long."
"How do you mean?" You ask, confusion spread throughout your face.
"You're not content." He fiddles with his fingers absentmindedly, picking at the lines on his hands. "People have filled every minute of your life, so when they're gone, you feel as though something is missing."
He wasn't really making sense to you. "But you're not alone."
"I'm not." He affirms, "But I'm not with friends or family, either. The Metkayina don't like me."
"Hey, I like you." Butterflies spread throughout his chest, prod at his nerves like they want to escape. He tries his best to ignore them.
"I know." He doesn't–well, hadn't–but he says it anyway. "So then, what about the others?" They think I have demon blood.
"You're right." You purse your lips.
Great, he was making you sad.
"You know what?" You suddenly stand with a renewed vigor. "Let's just forget about it all. Let's forget about other people and just explore, huh, 'Teyam?"
You wear the widest grin–that he thinks looks real pretty on your face–and offer him a hand which he takes immediately. With his hand in yours, you pull him to his feet with such strength he almost tips forward. Instead of making fun of him for it, you laugh and he can't help but join in.
"Come on, let me show you my favorite place."
Before you could show him many more of your other "favorite" places, the eclipse came down and you had to come home. That night, at the pods, you leave him with another promise, that you'll show him the rest.
☾⋆☆⋆☽
You step off your ilu, greeting several people. Neteyam learned the other day it was sort of a routine for you.
As you walk from waist-deep in the ocean back to the shore, you swing your wet hair from behind your shoulder. You gather it in your hands and ring it out. Like a small waterfall, salt water spills from your hair and returns to the ocean. You swing your hair back over your shoulder and run a hand through your hair to push back the stray hairs from your face.
Neteyam finds himself a little mesmerized, but he snaps out of it when his brother speaks up.
"Look at him." Lo'ak grumbles, his chin resting boredly on his palm. "The Metkayina's perfect "little" boy."
Neteyam laughs inwardly. Right, his brother still wasn't sure whether you and Tsireya were promised to one another or not. He would've told him, but it was a bit funny seeing him be so jealous. "So you are admitting he's perfect?"
"If everyone's saying it, does it matter if I say it too?" Lo'ak argues.
"Eh," Neteyam shrugs, shaking his head side to side in a "more or less" motion. "I do think so. That means that you think he's prefect too."
"Well, he isn't." He huffs.
"Mhm." After beating his brother in the argument, Neteyam turns back to you. You're much closer now, but still a few ways off, and you're still saying hello to people. Just seeing you do it feels tiring. At least it gives him more time to admire you.
Your necklace hangs low below your neck, its bead arrangement falling tragically over your tattoo and covering the main attraction. Still, the image of it is ingrained in his mind. The symbol of a heart really suited you.
When, finally, you're close enough, you give him a wave. Lo'ak thinks it's more directed towards the two of you, so he begrudgingly waves too. In that moment, his brother reminds him of your tsurak Zìk, but his thoughts are interrupted when you call to him.
"Ma Neteyam, you ready yet?!"
He only shoots you a thumbs up, for many people were already staring at the two of you and he didn't want to attract more attention, even though they'd begun to be more indifferent towards him.
"What does he mean ready?" Lo'ak's eyebrows furrow. He turns to his brother like he's a traitor.
"Sorry, bro, can't say." Neteyam simply replies, though he really can, he just loved to confuse his brother and see his hairy brows knitted together. He stands from his spot next to Lo'ak, readying to leave with you.
"I'm your brother, what could there possibly be that you can't say to me?"
"A lot of things." Neteyam finally turns away from Lo'ak entirely, leaving him to gape and catch bugs in his mouth.
"Let's go." You grin at Neteyam. In contrast, even though you see Lo'ak's weird expression, you only regard him with a small wave. "See ya, Lo'ak."
Far from his brother, Neteyam finally turns his head to give him a little shit-eating grin. Lo'ak only mouths to him words so rushed he can barely read them, You're falling for the golden boy??
And to that, and his brother, he proudly says yes. To himself, however, he doesn't quite know.
☾⋆☆⋆☽
"Have you ever been up there?" Neteyam points, ambitiously, to the top of the highest mountain. It was merely the size of his thumb from here, but he knew that meant it would be so much bigger once he got close to it.
Honestly, what did he expect you to say? "No. That is at least a 3 day journey."
"I can make it an hour." He replies confidently. Oh, he was absolutely counting on you saying no.
"How?" You ask, falling into his plan.
Neteyam simply smirks and calls for his ikran. The call is nothing like you've ever heard before. Within a matter of minutes, she stands before you, posed majestically atop her claws. She was larger than most ilu and her skin was a beautiful green.
You'd only seen banshees during the Sully family's arrival to Awa'atlu. Needless to say, you were amazed.
"Hey girl." He takes her head in both his hands, petting her cheeks with his thumbs. She screeches positively. "I missed you too."
"Woah." You approach slowly.
In comparison to ilu, banshees seemed very intimidating; and ilu, harmless. Perhaps, in that way, banshees were more similar to skimwings. Though, skimwings tended to keep their antagonistic behavior against those that they weren't bonded with. If the same held up with banshees, you were about to find out.
Neteyam senses your hesitance and extends a hand towards you. "Don't worry. She won't bite."
You gulp, "Y'sure?"
"Loved by the people but not by animals?" He tries to rile you up. He understood why you were apprehensive, but he didn't think someone like you–talented in just about anything–would have doubts about approaching an ikran.
"Animals and Na'vi are different, Neteyam." Still, you push on and offer the ikran a hand. She sniffs it first before turning back to Neteyam. Seems she's more interested in catching up with him than you, which is a relief because now you don't have to worry about dying.
Neteyam hops onto her neck, forming the bond. He beckons for you to follow. "Just sit down behind me and make sure to hold on, tight."
You follow his command and wrap your hands around his waist. Suddenly, he freezes, even though this is what he'd instructed you to do. To pass his misspeak off, he hooks one of your wrists above the other to tighten the hold, although it takes a toll on his nerves.
He clears his throat and declares, "Alright, we're off."
His ikran was new at carrying two people at once, not counting Tuk's little weight, but he knew she had the power to hold strong; and that, she did. She handled the two of you just like normal, and for that he'd make sure to thank her with treats.
"This is so cool."
Neteyam thinks it's a crime that you're not screaming yet, so he pats his ikran at the base of her wing and tells her to go faster.
He, of course, remains passive. This kind of speed, this environment, it's something he loves; but mostly, it was something he was used to.
You, on the other hand, "Wooo! This exactly like you described! I've never been so high before!"
He chuckles at your enthusiasm, "How does the wind feel?"
"Like it bites!" You laugh excitedly, daring to even stick a hand up and feel the air push it back. "Feels so refreshing, though!"
Having your affirmation, Neteyam decides to dive. "Alright, get ready."
"For?"
He doesn't reply, as your surprise would be spoiled and that was the fun of it. Instead, he leans forward, leaving you to do the same in anticipation. It's only a matter of seconds before the ikran dives.
"PELA'ANG NETEYAM!"
Your arms around his waist squeeze around him tighter, and he only thinks about it for a second. Your reaction, he finds more entertaining, even if you do scream in his ear.
The dive feels like you're riding on the back of a throwing spear, cutting through the air towards its destination. The air screams into your ears like a warning, its fight against your body like a constant geyser.
"Teyam–" You call. He doesn't respond. "Neteyam! Pull up!"
At the rate you were going at, you were going to crash into the lake, and today was not the day you wanted to return to Eywa.
"Scared?"
"'Course I am!"
Perhaps it was your sudden fear of heights or his experience, but he still felt as though there was plenty of time left. Neteyam laughs at your nerves, but to your benefit, he pulls up before he usually would.
"Phew." Your head falls onto his back. You're exhausted of his antics.
"How was it?" Neteyam asks innocently, like he wasn't just about to possibly cause your death.
"I thought we were going up to the mountain." You grumble.
"Oh, we are, just..." He doesn't actually have an excuse, not that he feels like needs one. "I mean, that was funny, wasn't it?"
"To you."
☾⋆☆⋆☽
Neteyam made good on his promise and you arrived at the mountain within the hour. But, because of your many duties–communal breakfast, hunting, meaningless conversations–it was going to be night soon.
You only had so much time, but you sat not doing much of anything anyway. The peak of the mountain was hardly anything worth exploring. It wasn't so big and only inhabited plants that dared to grow high. What the peak really offered was a view.
"Can hardly see the pods from here." You remark, sitting on a fallen log behind him.
"Yep." Neteyam sits on the cliff, boldly swinging his legs over the edge. He was less looking at Awa'atlu and more at the jungle. "This place is very blue."
The tips of the giant ferns were blue, and they faced up towards the sky. The heart of the jungle was a large lake, and Neteyam learned up here that the tree line surrounding it wasn't so long. Apart from the vague blob of a shape the large clearing drew, there wasn't much else worth admiring. So he turns his gaze up, towards the other islands.
"Does every island have a village?" Neteyam asks, gesturing towards the many islands he could see. There were enough to fill from Awa'atlu to the horizon.
"There's only so many major villages on the larger islands, but yes. There's at least one Na'vi on every single one of those islands... mmph, well," You chuckle, "maybe not that one." You point towards one barely the size of one of your necklace's beads.
Neteyam doesn't reply, so the conversation naturally stops there. He turns his gaze towards something else, the empty space without islands. The ocean was blue, and so was the sky, and it felt like a monotony; but also, the ocean was a deep blue, like him, and the sky lighter, like you. Maybe that meant something.
"How do you handle being so perfect?"
"What?"
"I mean," Neteyam turns to you and holds your gaze, "you're the youngest hunter yet still very competent."
You shake your head with a sigh, "I'm not perfect, Neteyam."
"But the people think otherwise." He stands only to sit next to you. "They love you."
"They don't love me because I do all these great things. They don't love me for being a good warrior or a good hunter, not for taming a tsurak or for being able to throw spears well." You scoot closer to him. He hates seeing that frown on your face. "They love me because of who I am."
In other words, "They see you."
"Yes."
That's how the Omatikaya saw him. Not for being the son of his father or his mother, and not for the duties he fought hard to uphold; they saw him, and ironically, he only realizes after leaving them. Would the Metkayina ever see him the same way?
As the sun and the moon lined up for the eclipse signifying night time, the conversation comes to a stop. It was something that happened daily, and to you, something you'd grown used to. Neteyam, too, had grown used to it, but he was sure that if it stopped, he'd miss it.
"We should head down."
"Yeah."
Neither of you move.
When the last of the daylight leaves, and the moons take over, Neteyam looks down again becomes something catches his attention. "Woah."
Many things glowed purple under the moonlight: the tips of the ferns, specks in the lake, and specks in the village. They were a wonderful sight, flickering vividly under the moonlight like another set of stars. His gaze found the moving lights of the village, likely large groups of Na'vi coming together for dinner. They come from the bright seawall terraces, blend in with the long lines of luminescent fish within the water, then emerge again at the beach; because as important as whatever they were doing was, being with their people for something as simple as eating was more important.
The Metkayina would never be Omatikaya, they would never be the people he grew up with, but he could find solace in them still; for they were all Na'vi.
He would just have to prove it to them first.
☾⋆☆⋆☽
Neteyam dips his hand in the water. The salt stings a little against his bruised knuckles, but he ignores it. He cups a good amount of water and brings it to his lips. The wound on those sting too, but it's nothing compared to the pain he felt when he actually received the injury. 'Sides, he's felt worse pains from covering up for Lo'ak plenty of times before. This was nothing.
He pulls his hand away from his lips and observes it. Blood runs down his fingers. It's crimson and thick, much the same as his bond with Lo'ak. He'd done it several times before, and he'd do it again, to stand with his brother; because if not him, who else did he have?
"Neteyam!" Back from a hunt, like always.
Wiya, he didn't want you to seem like this, but if he hid himself from you, you'd be even more suspicious.
He cups a larger amount of water and wipes his face again, hoping to get rid of all the blood staining his skin. He rubs with his hands, but when they part from his face, you're squat next to him curiously.
Neteyam suddenly stands, forcing you to stand too.
Though he had made it up in his mind that he couldn't hide his injuries from you, he's nervous of the outcome. You'd be curious, you'd ask, he'd tell you, and you'd come in defense of your brothers.
So, he looks away from you, though unfortunately you're on his right, the side of his lips that got split.
"What happened to you?"
He purses his lips, his hands balling up into fists at his sides. So much for this friendship, he thinks.
When Neteyam doesn't respond, you take the other side of his jaw between your thumb and forefinger, gently pulling him to look at you.
Before he turned his head to you, his gaze had been downcast, and that translated to when you moved it. He catches a glimpse of your tattoo, loved by the people. It only solidifies the outcome in his head.
"Neteyam." You say, your voice stern with him for the first time. "Who did this to you?"
It's not something he likes, that tone, especially coming from you, but he obeys your silent pleads to explain. "Ao'nung.. and his friends called Kiri a freak. They mocked Lo'ak. Called us all "not real Na'vi". Lo'ak picked a fight with them and I had to back him up."
You're silent for a long time, instead of spewing your anger at him. Anticipation builds up in his chest as he awaits your response, but it doesn't come. Curiously, he allows himself to look up at you and catch your eyes.
Angry. You were angry. But you don't look, not at him, you look towards the ocean.
"(y/n)?"
"Ao'nung just left for a hunt." Your hand leaves his jaw as you part from him, "I can catch up, teach him a lesson."
You only take a few steps, each laced with a heavy intent, before he stops you. He's quick to step in front of you, taking one of your hands in his as another precaution. "You really don't have to. I already taught him a lesson when I punched him, and Lo'ak went to go apologize already."
"Apologize?" You ask. He can hear the absolute shock in your voice. "For standing up against his insults?"
Neteyam nods slowly, knowing that it's not fair either. "Yes."
"Who told him to apologize? Because if there's anything I know about Lo'ak, it's that–"
"My father." He says before you can waste your breath. He knows that, after hearing that it's Jake that commanded his son to "make peace" with his own bullies, you won't stand against him. Because the mighty Jake Sully knew better.
But some things, he doesn't know for sure. "Even your father doesn't defend you?" A nasty scowl grows on your lips. That knowledge provokes you even more. You begin your furious march again, unbothered by his hand.
"(y/n)." He gives a harsh tug.
"Neteyam." Your sudden stop causes you to stomp on the sand. Its grains kick up explosively in the air like a reflection of your anger. "I have to defend you."
"If you do that, your tattoo's wish won't be fulfilled!" He protests, throwing his free hand up into the air. "(y/n), if they see you coming in defense of a demon, they're going to be pissed."
"A demon?" You step closer to him, shaking your head solemnly. "You're not a demon."
"They think otherwise..." He mutters, looking away.
"I have to show them what I see." You put a warm hand on his cheek and Neteyam feels as though it dwarfs his face; it doesn't help the spreading warmth on his cheeks either. "Neteyam, I see you."
His heart hammers within his chest like it'll burst. He doesn't know what to say. "I–"
"Physically, you may be different, but you and me, we are the same. We are Na'vi. You don't deserve the way they're treating you." Everything you said, it's all he wanted to hear. "Oel ngati kameie, ma Neteyam."
He dared, because he couldn't help it, to place a kiss on your lips. It's only a peck, but it brings joy to your eyes.
"You see me, so you know that I am capable of showing the Metkayina that my family and I are not different. I can come in defense of myself, as I did against Ao'nung. Oel ngati kameie, ma (y/n), " He saw you. A boy so kind, a boy that loved him so much, that he was willing to sacrifice what everybody thought of him just to love him. But it wasn't something that he wanted. "but I don't need your help. You don't need to give away everything just for me."
"But nothing's stopping me from doing so."
"That is precisely why I need you to trust me." He pushes your necklace away and places his hand above your tattoo. "Because you may know what I deserve, but I know too that you don't deserve to lose everything. Okay?"
And though it pains you so, you will do what he asks. You bring his hand up and press a kiss to his aching knuckles. "Okay."

You harshly shove the Hufflepuff seeker out of the way, he doesn't budge, not until you shoulder him again. This time it unsteadies his broom, in an effort to not lose his balance, he falls back, leaving you alone in pursuit of the Golden Snitch.
You manage to locate the snitch once more, the golden ball just a few paces out of reach, as you extend your hand, you can feel its wing fluttering violently against your fingertips As you attempt to grab it, the flying ball quickly changes course trying to evade you, but you still manage to follow closely behind.
"Come on." You mutter under your breath, you are so close, the ball is practically yours.
Coincidentally, a large gust of wind graces your flight path at just the right moment. You take full advantage of it, picking up a bit of momentum, just enough to trap the Golden Snitch in your grasp.
You then whisk yourself around on the broom to face the stands, stubbornly the Snitch tries to wriggle free, but you hold it firmly still.
A large roar erupts from the audience as you hold up your prize for all to see. They were cheering for you.
The sound is exhilarating, intoxicating. It makes you feel invisible– but there was only one person's cheer worth taking notice.
In a sea of Gryffindors, you find Hermione's gaze. Your grin widens, and she smiles right back at you.
Soon enough an involuntarily blush covers your cheeks, and you are forced to look away.
"Y/n has caught the Golden Snitch. Slytherin wins!"
═══════════════════════════════════════════
The celebration continues well into the evening in the Slytherin common room. Students from all houses fill the space, taking advantage of the unlimited amounts of liquor and butter beer available.
Crabbe and Blaise insist on parading you on their shoulders for the dozenth time tonight, it seems the more intoxicated they get, the harder they find the task of leaving you alone.
“Y/n!, Y/n!, Y/n!” The crowd continues to chant beneath you, and you can only allow yourself to enjoy the moment. Even though the incessant attention from everyone tonight was starting to peeve you slightly.
The only person you wanted to spend time with tonight is Hermione– yet she is nowhere to be found.
“Alright, put me down guys.” You raise your voice over the commotion, and your friends finally oblige, taking you off their shoulders, you let out a breath of relief once your feet touch flat ground.
“If you keep it up, Y/n, we'll win all the games this season.” Pansy claims, her voice closer to a shout.
You merely give her a nod, taking her words for a compliment and nothing more. Deliberately ignoring the sudden sense of crippling responsibility that's been set upon you.
You find yourself looking through the crowd once more, hoping to spot a familiar brown-eyed beauty.
Where is she?
You push through the sea of students, a few of them continue hurling praises at you and taking the opportunity to squeeze your shoulder as a version of acclamation.
By the time you reach the large window by the far side of the room, you are out of breath.
The spot you've escaped to is somewhat secluded, so you are given a chance to gain your bearings, as you silently observe the view of the black lake.
That is, until someone unwelcomed enters your space.
“You were amazing on the pitch today–” Romilda Vane says, standing an inch too close.
You catch a whiff of alcohol on her breath, and your effort to distance yourself fails as she merely sees it as an opportunity to step closer.
“Thanks, Romilda. I didn't realize you liked Quidditch.” You state dismissively, before scanning your surroundings again, for any indication of Hermione.
“I don't, not really..” She replies, and a bold hand on your shoulder snatches your attention once more.
“I like watching you though.” Romilda says, inching even closer, you watch as her gaze manages to find your lips for a moment.
Normally, you'd entertain such a blatant attempt at flirting, especially from someone so attractive– but tonight, you couldn't care less.
Hermione is the only girl you want complimenting you.
Romilda proceeds to brazenly caress your bicep, she gasps slightly after giving your firm muscle a squeeze.
“I bet you could easily lift me.” She remarks suggestively, and you let out a dismissive scoff, but this only urges her to continue eyeing you hungrily– a mere object she'd like to toy with.
“Perhaps we could find out–” You suggest, but immediately regret your effort in humoring her.
Romilda mistakes your words as an invitation. She leans in to meet your lips and you quickly swerve out of the way.
“Some other time.” You quip, subsequently catching sight of a familiar face in the distance You don't even bother letting Romilda down easily before chasing after her.
-
“Hermione!” You call out, but the Gryffindor is making it quickly through the crowd. It seemed shouting her name only motivated her to walk further away.
You finally catch up to her in the gallery, outside the common room, the door soon shuts behind you, and the two of you are left alone.
“Hey, slow down–” You say, finally grabbing hold of Hermione’s arm.
“Where are you going?” You ask, but when she turns to look at you, her hardened expression takes you aback.
“Are you alright?” Your ask of real concern is only met with an eye-roll. Hermione groans in frustration as she tries to wrench out of your hold.
“Let me go–” She asks sternly, and you do just that, but her demeanor continues to unnerve you. You could never bear it whenever she was upset with you.
Whatever it is, you plan to rectify it now.
“Hermione..” You coax gently, and the Gryffindor no longer makes the effort to walk away from you, instead she leans against the stone wall, her gaze fixed towards the ground.
You stuff your hands into your pockets as you made the conscious effort to not reach out for her again.
“You know you can talk to me– tell me what's wrong, darling. Was it something I did?” You try once more, and finally, she graces you with a lingering glance.
"Why are you with me? You could have any girl in the school.. anyone you wanted. So why me?” Hermione asks, the faint tremor in her voice breaks you, but you can't help the incredulous look that paints your features.
“Are you really asking me that?” You ask flippantly.
Your carelessness only makes visible tears well up in Hermione's eyes, and you immediately regret opening your mouth.
“Oh– no, I'm sorry. Come here.” You remark frantically, pulling Hermione closer by the waist, and she accepts your embrace.
“I'm sorry.” You repeat earnestly. She buries her face in the crook of your neck, despite herself.
“You have no idea how much you mean to me, do you?” You mutter, as you take in the scent of her hair.
Hermione pulls back to look at you expectantly, and you don't fight the urge to hold her face in both your hands, leaning in to kiss her deeply.
“I think you're brilliant.” You admit as your lips remain less than an inch apart.
“Really?” Hermione breathes out, and you can only smile.
“Yes.” You claim before tilting your head to kiss her jaw. “Being with you.. it's like a dream.” You continue, relishing at the feeling of Hermione shifting closer to feel more of you.
“A dream I never want to wake from.” You utter directly into her ear, before placing a kiss against it.
Hermione shudders in delight, her hand slips up your chest to the collar of your shirt, she clutches it, at an effort to steady herself.
You proceed to kiss her neck, and amidst a series of soft moans, Hermione utters something far more incriminating.
“I love you..” She says breathlessly, almost too soft to be real.
You feel her tense up as you halted the string of kisses you were leaving upon her skin, trying to process what you just heard.
“What did you just say?” You ask, pulling away so you could trap Hermione's gaze.
The evident blush upon her cheeks only causes your grin to widen.
“Nothing, I–” Hermione stutters, and you decide to help refresh her memory.
“You love me?” You ask, hopeful that she wouldn't deny it.
“Yes. Maybe.. I don't know.” She averts her eyes, and you have to bite your lip to stop from smiling too wide.
“Well, that's a relief. because I think, maybe, I love you too.” You respond, tucking a strand of hair behind Hermione's ear, and this makes her look at you again.
“Wait– you do?” Hermione asks, her manner ever unassuming. She is perfect, and she loves you.
“I love you like a madman.” You admit plainly, and her chuckle causes your heart to flutter violently in your chest. “Sometimes it feels like I can hardly do anything else besides love you.”
Hermione's expression visibly softens at your admittance, she leans in to kiss you again, you gladly welcome the sensation of her tongue entering your mouth.
“You make me feel things that I don't even understand sometimes.. but I just know that, I seem to never want to be away from you.”
Hermione utters after separating her lips from your own, her hand moves to the nape of your neck, and the other runs through your hair.
“I feel the same.” You state, placing a chaste kiss against her cheek.
“So let us never part, my love.”

A little scorpion goes a long way - W.A.
Wednesday Addams x Fem!Reader
Summary: You bring back an old friend.
Warnings: ooc wednesday, R being a simp
Word Count: 2k+
A/N: I’m bored, here’s a little Wednesday oneshot like promised!
Tumblr media
Learning at Nevermore Academy had its perks and downsides, but one of your favorite things about the school was how little they cared about students’s powers.
You had no face? You’re just another student at Nevermore. You’re a freak emo girl? Doesn’t matter. You could revive things from the dead? Who cares?
You; were apart of the latter group. It’s not that you were so powerful to the point you could bring actual human beings to life, but enough to save a dying plant or two. Only, anytime you did it, there would always be ass-kicking consequences.
You’d always have a terrible headache and a killer cold after. Skin all colorless, resembling the look of a character from a Tim Burton movie.
When you had first met your now girlfriend of 11 months Wednesday Addams, she had shared a heartfelt story about her pet scorpion, Nero, and how he had gotten killed by some idiot normie kids.
It was heartbreaking. You swore then and there that as soon as you got the chance you’d try and find the scorpion and bring it back to life.
It also just so happened that yours and Wednesday’s one year anniversary was coming up, pegging the perfect opportunity for such a gift.
It was really hard to try and discreetly ask Wednesday where she had buried her pet scorpion without sounding suspicious.
So you didn’t.
Instead, you called up her father. It wasn’t any less scary, since he was still an Addams, and the father of your girlfriend, but at least you knew he was a bit softer than the rest of the family.
“Hellomr.addamscouldipleaseaskyouifyoyreawarewherewednesdayburiedherpetscorpionforagift?” You stumbled out, completely unintelligible.
“Hello? Who is this?” Came his booming voice from the other side of the phone.
A long paused sounded, you trying to calm down and wipe your sweaty palms against Wednesday’s sheets.
“Hey Mr.Addams, it’s YN. Would you happen to know where Wednesday buried her pet scorpion all those years ago? I need it for a gift im making her.” You said, as slowly as you could, but it still came out as a bit of a ramble.
He barked out a laugh, and your face flushed bright red. You thanked the lords that you decided to do this on the phone instead of in real life.
“Of course darling, it’s right in our backyard. Would you like me to send it to you? Me and Morticia need an idea for date night anyway. I’m sure she’ll be thrilled with grave digging!”
You let out a relieved sigh and a slight chuckle, shaking your head at the Addams Family antics.
“Yes, that would be amazing, thank you Mr. Addams.” You breathe in relief.
“Please, call me Gomez.”
There was a pause of uncertainty on your end before answering, “Of course….Mr.Gomez.”
A sound uncanny to a door swinging open had you turning around hurriedly, and hanging up before Mr. Gomez could even utter another word.
Wednesday stood there, looking unbothered; eyes half lidded until they locked with yours.
“What’s wrong with you? Why do you look like that?” She asked, eyes narrowed. You smiled a little at her tone, because it wasn’t one of annoyance, but rather of worry. Maybe you were turning her a bit soft after all.
You smile shyly, striding up to Wednesday but stopping just short in front of her, giving her time to pull away if she wanted.
When she didn’t, and in fact, leaned a little closer; you closed the distance and gave her a peck on the cheek.
“I’m amazing.” You breathed against her cheek, lips moving toward her neck.
She titled it up a bit, giving you more access to wander around as you please. Rigid hands found your waist, and she squeezed them slightly.
You pull away grinning.
“Oh no, you’re not getting it yet. Plus, tomorrow’s our anniversary, don’t you want it to be extra romantic?” You teased.
She let out a huff and crossed her arms, clearly displeased.
“I dont see what difference one day has. She mumbled under her breath, still staring you down.
“As romantic as that is, I have to go.” You tell her, squeezing her finger once. All she does is give you a curt nod and returns to her desk.
-
A thing you learned later that day was that Gomez Addams was a man of his word. Not even a couple hours later, a package had arrived for you.
Inside the little shoe box was a photo of the couple grave digging, smiling wider than you’ve ever seen them; and the corpse of a certain infamous scorpion.
“Nero! Ha!“ You exclaimed, jumping up and down in excitement. You inspected the little scorpion, it was tiny enough; should be no sweat to bring it back.
You were extremely wrong.
Considering the thing was dead for almost 10 years; it took an absurd amount of energy out of you.
God if you thought bringing plants back to life was hard, this thing was something you’ve never seen before. Strong and vicious, shooting a sharp pain through you as you connected the back of the scorpion to the palm of your hand.
At one point you seriously thought you were going to pass out. Sweat formed at your face and your vision was starting to get a little blurry.
And to add salt to the wound, the moment the scorpion was brought back, it decided to jump the person who had so graciously brought it back to life.
Leaving multiple scars on the side of your neck, before you could wrestle it away from you and into the pet box you had bought the week before.
Holy shit. I need a rest.
With your vision blurred and head pounding a million miles per second, you collapsed onto the bed, letting the world encompass you in a dark black haze.
-
You’re awaken the next day by an uninterested looking Wednesday, (that might just be how she always looks) hovering over you in the bed. You roll over in the bed to get a better view of her.
“Oh hey, Wends.” You greeted, trying to get up and talk to the girl properly, but letting out a groan as you clutched the side of your stomach in pain.
You pulled the sheets down to check your side, looking for the cause of your pain. What greeted you was a huge dark blue bruise that spread from the top of your rib cage to your waist.
“Huh. That’s weird.” You mumble.
You didn’t notice Wednesday’s eyes widening at the sight, since you were a bit busy poking at the wound.
She quickly slapped your hand away, and pushed you back down into the bed. Silencing you with a press of her pointer finger on your lips.
“Don’t move.”
You don’t think you’ve ever seen Wednesday move so quick, even back when she was looking for the hyde all those months ago. You stared at her in awe as she rummaged through your belongings, and pulled out a first aid kit.
Nevermore had employed one in every students dorm, seeing as to there were plenty of mini medical emergencies that would occur on a daily basis.
“Thing. Go get my Magical Beings 101 textbook. It’s located on my desk.”
Thing quickly hurried off, no doubt due to the harsh tone Wednesday used.
“I’m fine, Wends. Really. I’ll be up and running in a couple days.” You said as you reached over, trying to stroke her hand.
Surprisingly, she didn’t pull away, but instead gripped it tighter. She was silent for a moment, no sound except for your heavy breathing.
“Did you really think I wouldn’t notice? I know you used your powers YN. What I can’t seem to figure out is what for. Why are you so ill?” She asked, eyebrows furrowed.
And if you thought your heart couldn’t get any bigger, you were wrong. The way Wednesday was looking at you, all worried glances and intense eyes, you think you could pass away right then and there.
She cared.
As you tried to get up, ignoring the way Wednesday surged forward to stop you, quickly pushing you back into the bed. You didn’t put up much of a fight.
“This is gonna suck, and I wanted to save it for a more romantic setting, but I don’t think I’m leaving bed today.” You stated, while Wednesday was still eyeing you like you would get up again.
“Could you pass me the box under my desk Wends? But you have to promise to close your eyes.” You murmur, bat your eyes at her.
At that Wednesday rolled her eyes, and you were a little relieved to see a familiar Wednesday expression.
“And why is that?” She inquired.
Um.
“My brain is too meshed to come up with an excuse. It’s for our anniversary, but please don’t look, I wanna see your reaction.” You admitted, fingers playing with the hem of your shirt.
With a huff, Wednesday moved to your desk and closed her eyes, which took a while for her to actually find the box and bring it out.
“Over here.” You say, in case your voice would help her sense of direction better.
“I’m dating an imbecile who thinks I’m an imbecile.” Wednesday mutters under her breath, not aware that you had heard.
Wednesday walks over and stops in front of you, as you pat the surface on the bed next to you.
She gets the hint, and after some reluctance sits down and waits peacefully.
It’s a little domestic, and your heart starts beating faster.
You take the box from her hands and try your best to cover the clear part, then look over to Wednesday.
“Okay, you can open them now.” You say.
Wednesday’s eyes are flicked open in an instant, her peaceful face turning back into her usual resting glare.
She squints at the box, and tilts her head. You push it forward on the bed a little, gesturing for her to open the lid.
She does, and when she peers inside, her eyes widen. She dips her hand in the box and whispers, “Nero, flip.”
When the scorpion walks up to her and does a little turn of it’s body, you guess it could be called a flip, Wednesday gasps.
“It is you.” She says, sounding star struck.
And then as if just remembering you were there, she looks at you, with more emotion than you’ve ever seen before.
You feel your knees get a little week, even though you haven’t even been standing. Wednesday looks in awe.
“Happy Anniversary Wends. I didn’t know where I could find Nero so I called up your dad, I hope that’s oka-“
You’re cut off by Wednesday engulfing you in a fierce hug, and she would never admit it, but you swear you felt something damp on your shoulder.
You let the moment be, don’t tease her about it. Caressing her back a little as she leans just slightly into you.
“You’re an idiot.” She whispers, and you shiver at the sensation of her lips on your bare skin.
“Yeah I know, but you love me.” You say with a cheeky grin.
Wednesday doesn’t say anything back, but you don’t mind. Words had never been her way of expressing love, and having her here, teary eyed and smiling; albeit a tiny smile, was confirmation enough she felt the same.
You didn’t end up getting to do the things on your list for your anniversary, but in a way, what you ended up with was much better.
The rest of the day was spent with Wednesday in your arms, and a tiny scorpion in hers.
It was getting sort of uncomfortable, the position you were in, but you didn’t dare move away.
When Enid had walked in, looking for her disappearing roommate, and spotted you two asleep in each other’s arms. She bit back a squeal and snapped a quick photo on her phone.
You later asked for the photo and set it as your lockscreen.
It was a real pain bringing Nero back, but considering everything, you would definitely do it again.

Yeah, again, you can tell that the creators of Wish wanted certain moments to be impactful and to hit as hard as any other animated Disney movie’s moments did. But they didn’t. Because there was no convincing build-up for the moments to peak on.
You can tell which moments they are.
When Asha and the King sing “At All Costs” - If you listen to the song on its own, and you have no context (which is to say, you make up the context on your own) it is moving. Because it’s a pretty-enough song with vaguely passionate lyrics, once you assign meaning to them. But the movie doesn’t build up why this song should be an impactful declaration for either Asha or Magnifico. We already knew that Magnifico made it his job to “protect” the wishes (which are the subject of the song.) Asha, on the other hand, has only just been introduced to us, and we know she “cares too much,” so we already knew she’d protect people’s wishes. The song isn’t giving us a deeper understanding of them, or a more interesting angle to look at their motivations.
Tumblr media
But, that’s not really the problem. The problem is that the wishes are the subject of the song. And that whole concept, of wishes being tangible objects that hold the most important and beautiful part of people’s hearts, but when they’re tangible, they remove that part from the person, is bad. It’s not good to try and build a story of stolen-treasures on.
Because that’s how they’re treated. Like treasures that the king is hoarding, after manipulating the people of Rosas into giving them up. And you know what? That’s a terrible thing to sing a protective love song to.
Just think about it this way: the story is about a King who takes everyone’s favorite keepsakes (family jewels, ornaments, old photos) and promises to protect them, but in actuality…for some reason…the moment they hand the keepsakes over, they forget whatever made the keepsake important to them. And then the King and a young woman sing a heartfelt song to the photographs and old brooches about how they will love and protect the photographs and old brooches.
Do you see why this song is pretty but not impactful in the story? They shouldn’t be singing to the wishes. Even Magnifico. They should be singing to the people. The movie plays it as if that is what they’re doing—singing a heartfelt promise of protection to a person, or a people. But that’s not what they’re doing, and do you know why?
Because the people have forgotten their wishes.
By definition, the actual human beings in Rosas cannot care (believably) about the bubbles in King Magnifico’s tower. They can only vaguely care about the chance of being happier than they are now, someday, if the wish they don’t even remember is granted. And what a terrible lesson, never mind plot point.
Anyway.
I digress. The point is, for a personally-worded, vow-of-protection-song to hit the audience meaningfully, it needed to matter to the person receiving the vow. But there is no person receiving the vow. Because of the narrative and lazy concept, only Asha and Magnifico care this much about the wishes. Because the people who made them have forgotten them. (More on this when I talk about Asha’s mom.)
When Sabino’s wish is not granted - This is supposed to be like a “Tiana’s restaurant gets taken away from her when she’s outbid” moment. The character is crushed when the thing they wanted and really believed they would finally get is taken away.
Doesn’t work in Wish, though. Because of a few things, but the main two are:
The audience has no reason to believe this means so much to Sabino because he hasn’t been shown really longing for his wish to come true.
This movie avoids any vulnerable emotion in facial expressions.
When Tiana loses her chance to have her wish come true, it is also unfair—she was already promised the property, but the brokers accepted a larger offer anyway, and it’s implied to be because of racism. Similarly, everyone acts like Sabino is entitled to (“promised”) having his wish come true because he’s so old and it’s his birthday. Plus we, the audience, know that Magnifico isn’t rejecting his wish for good reasons, and that Sabino’s wish is unselfish. So it’s meant to feel unfair and sad when he doesn’t get it, but it’s not. Not like it felt with Tiana.
Not only does the lazy concept of wishes and forgetting them once they’re tangible hamstring all of this—but the fact that Sabino has had nothing but a handful of sparse lines (ones like “we don’t know for sure that I’ll get my wish granted”) to convince us that he really cares about this hamstrings it, too.
When Tiana loses her restaurant property, it’s only about 24 minutes into The Princess and the Frog, and we have already had:
1 - A song about how hard she’s worked for it. 2 - An opening scene where her relationship with her father connects the restaurant to a deeper, more personal meaning for her.
3 - Several scenes where she is shown doing drastic things to get enough money for it; her drawer full of tip money; the two jobs she works with only a minute’s sleep in between; her friends asking her to come dancing but reiterating the fact that she often loses time for fun and their good feeling toward her because “all she does is work.”
4 - We are also shown that people don’t believe she’ll get it. The cook at her job mocks her for her wish, which makes it all the more important to the audience that she gets it—to prove the jerks wrong.
Of course, it doesn’t hurt that the restaurant is directly tied to Tiana’s character flaw AND her strengths, at the same time, so that it’s killing two birds with one stone—we’re shown who Tiana is, and we’re convinced to empathize with her when something sad happens to her.
Sabino has zero of those things going for him. No character details or set pieces to hint to us that he wants the wish to be granted so badly—no speeches about what it means to him—no memories tied to how he began to wish for this thing—because there can’t be. Because he’s spent 82 years not wishing. Because he’s lived the majority of his life totally forgetting what he wanted. You couldn’t logically show any evidence that he wanted it that much, then, could you?
So Sabino can’t be shown caring too much about not getting his wish. Therefore the audience doesn’t care either. We’re shown a glimpse of his sad face, and Asha’s sad face, and then told, “now feel sad!” But the work wasn’t put in to make it happen.
They cut their legs out from under themselves.
Now you could say, “well it wasn’t really about Sabino’s disappointment, it was about Asha’s disappointment.”
Yeah, but that doesn’t really hold up either. I’ll explain how in the next moment-that-should’ve-made-us-feel-something failure:
When Asha’s family doesn’t believe her - This scene is very clearly supposed to be like the one where Mulan has an argument with her family about her father going to war, and knowing her place, and he yells at her and she runs out distraught.
Tumblr media
You definitely feel for Mulan and care about how she’s feeling in this scene—you might even cringe at the part where her dad yells at her. Part of that is because the scene is so well-done—there’s the buildup of tension as the camera cuts between each family member quietly drinking their tea, refusing to talk about the day’s devastating events. Then Mulan bursts out by slamming her teacup down and starting the yelling, herself, in outrage. Her dad stays quiet and steady like he has the whole movie up till now, so then when he stands up and shouts at her, about the exact thing she has been so upset over since the Matchmaker’s, the audience really feels the impact.
You don’t feel the same way about Asha, and it’s not just because her family argument scene wasn’t done as well—it’s also not just because, as you can see above, the movie keeps tiptoeing away from emotional vulnerability in the way the characters look.
It’s mostly because there’s been no impactful buildup to this scene. Again.
When Mulan has an argument with her father, you know what it means to her to have him yell at her about doing what’s right in her own place—you’ve had the whole first few scenes of the movie to convince you of it.
Mulan is upset because she wants to find her place and she loves her father very much. But she does not, ever, say the words “I love my father so much.” She doesn’t even outright say things like that before the argument. She doesn’t say to the Matchmaker, “Won’t you please give me another chance? My father has been praying about this for weeks, and I can’t bear to disappoint him. My father is a great man; he fought for the Emperor and was wounded in the wars; for his sake, can’t you help me?”
Asha does. Asha says to King Magnifico (but really, to us, the audience) “My grandfather’s wish! It’s beautiful.” And “Your Highness, couldn’t you grant his wish?” And to her friends, and to her mother, and to her grandfather himself—over and over she just reminds us with flat, “okay-we-get-it” dialogue and exposition of what she wants.
Whereas Mulan shows us. She convinces us. She runs up to her father, in the very first scene, and we’re shown that even though she has trouble remembering what she’s supposed to say to the matchmaker—even though she has trouble remembering what time it is and getting her other chores done—with this one part of her life, her father, she can remember exactly what the doctor said about how much tea he needs to drink. And she is prepared for her own clumsiness to make sure he gets it.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
And even after she doesn’t get what she wants, and is shown to be so ashamed she can’t even look at him (because that’s how much she loves him and cares what he thinks) the only thing that makes her feel better is when he carefully compares her to a late-blooming flower and basically promises that he believes in her, anyway. We know how much Mulan cares about her father because we’ve been convinced by the way the movie artfully and carefully shows it.
We also know that she cares about knowing her place, specifically because of her family’s wishes for her. So all of this combines to prove to us that having her father shout at her about knowing his place and why he’s going to die willingly is a devastating thing for her. Enough for her to run out of the house sobbing and cling to a pillar as if she can’t hold herself up.
But when Asha runs out of the house (barely sobbing, just kind of breathing fast, because there’s no vulnerability in this movie) and stumbles up to a tree in the same way, we don’t really believe something so devastating has happened to her.
Everything happened too fast. She just kept saying she cares about Sabino’s wish coming true, and that she loves him. When he explodes at her (and really out-of-nowhere asks if she wants to “break his heart”) it’s the first time he’s shown any kind of intense emotion, either toward her, or about his wish.
There is no build-up. So it just feels awkward, and kind of like a high school production where one of the kids hasn’t even been trying to act, but in one scene, he suddenly starts yelling because that’s what his character is supposed to do. And it’s just cringe because you haven’t seen that level of energy, happy or sad, good or bad, at all up until now.
And that’s a problem because it leads right into Asha’s “This Wish” song, which is supposed to be like her “Mulan riding off to war” moment. But it’s not set up well by the emotions tied to the family argument, or the emotions tied to the conflict with the King, so you don’t really care.
Moving on to the next emotional-moment failure:
When King Magnifico threatens Queen Amaya - I don’t have much to say about this one; I think you’re getting the point. When there’s nothing but bland words and one-liners spoken to convince us that the characters are thinking and feeling how they’re thinking and feeling, moments like this one just feel boring and forced. And try-hard.
Like, the lighting? The music? Fine. Good. When he points his new magic wand at her threateningly, and clearly appears ready to betray her? All that stuff is fine. It just hasn't been built up to, so it doesn’t hit.
It’s like, “that’s it?” He just says one line about, “Are you betraying me?” And she pours forth a bunch of lines like “no I’ve always believed in you and in Rosas.” And then he’s basically like “okay, I’m convinced, moving on” which of course is him already knowing that she’s betrayed him and already having a plan to trap Asha…but still. From Queen Amaya’s point of view, there’s nothing emotional here.
Tumblr media
We’re supposed to believe they’re madly in love and that she trusts him wholeheartedly, so that when he falls to dark magic and she chooses to side with Asha it’s this big moment. But it happens so fast.
There’s no moment where Queen Amaya grieves her husband. There’s no real sense of loss, or even of impactful betrayal. The voice actress delivers every line like she’s trying and failing to feel what the character feels as she reads the lines to a 5 year-old who needs every concept spoon-fed to them.
And King Magnifico drops her like a bag of dirt instantly. No sense of loss from him, either. He’s not even condescending to her, like, for example, Mayor Lionheart was to Dawn Bellwhether in Zootopia. Or like Jafar was to Iago. All of those things would’ve made their quick severing of bonds to each other make more sense.
Tumblr media
But we’re not shown that Queen Amaya has sensed any darkness building in her husband over the years, and is just now realizing that this is the last straw and maybe he was never the man she thought he was. She treats him like she adores him (blandly) for the whole first half of the movie. No hint of doubt. Even when he goes for the forbidden book the first time, she easily convinced him not to and then wandered away like “well, took care of that.”
When Asha’s mother loses her wish - The biggest problem with this moment is still lack of buildup, and that is because the tangible-wish forgetfulness thing is stupid as we’ve established. We don’t believe she feels grief, even when she says she does, because we don’t know this woman at all. We don’t know what she wants, or how badly she wants it—we certainly don’t feel that she’s been missing her wish.
Tumblr media
But the other offenses are worth mentioning. When Asha’s mother’s wish is broken by Magnifico, she just…gasps. And her father-in-law says her name, and Asha yells something typical like “no!” She looks a little weak in the knees, like maybe she can’t walk for a second, so the 100 year-old man supports her.
But the cameras spend no time on how this is affecting her. The shots of the family escape in the immediate aftermath of this world-shattering thing don’t let us see Asha’s mother’s face. Not that her facial expression is that devastated, anyway. It’s just “typical sadness” expression. There’s a shot where they’re going from the house to the stolen horses and if I remember correctly, Asha’s mother has her back to the camera the whole time; I was looking at her because I was like “something devastating just happened; this is the most interesting part of the scene.” But there was nothing to see.
They could’ve had her visually turn grey. They could’ve had her go mute, stare off into space, suddenly become scarily unreachable. They could’ve had her weeping uncontrollably. They could’ve just had her go catatonic—after all, we’re supposed to believe that even the chance of having “the most beautiful part of her” returned to her heart was just destroyed. Wouldn’t that logically make a person…cold? Calloused? Unfeeling? Uncaring? But no. She’s as just keen to express concern for Asha and apologize for being wrong about Magnifico and urge Asha to keep believing in herself, passionately, as she would’ve been before. No big deal, just lost the most beautiful part of myself forever.
Doesn’t help that we never knew what the mom’s wish even was, so even we can’t miss it.
So when she gets her wish back at the end, and she’s like, “come home.” It’s just…cringey.
When Asha convinces the crowd to wish for Magnifico’s defeat - The idea of the movie is that “the power of the stars is in you because we all came from stardust, so keep wishing and working toward it even when it’s hard.” So this moment is supposed to be impactful.
But it isn’t. Because that kind of thing isn’t impactful. They literally sing a song, glow, and Magnifico is defeated. Even if we were supposed to believe Star was dead, and this is bringing him back like Tinkerbell coming back to life, it’s still not impactful. Because one, it happens way too fast. And no character really emotes about it, like Peter did when he thought Tink was dead.
Two, that hasn’t been the point of the whole movie; the main character never had trouble believing that she was powerful enough to enact change. She barely doubted her own wish. If they wanted us to be excited that she could win based on the stardust in her heart, and in the kingdom’s hearts, alone, then they should’ve given us several scenes where it’s like “Asha is relying too much on Star’s power.”
But no, doubt and disbelief and reliance were never character flaws of hers for this moment to overcome. She doesn’t really have any character flaws, let’s be honest.
Even if you want to say “well sure, Asha didn’t doubt her own power, but the kingdom did! Otherwise, why would it’s citizens have put so much reliance on King Magnifico?” Okay, that’s nice, but 1) that is never solidly or impactfully alluded to in the story, beyond jokes about how handsome they think the king is and the literal plot point of trusting him with their wishes. And 2) having a whole kingdom of background characters believe something false and then get their minds changed in a split second is not nearly as impactful as having the main character’s mind changed first—and then she passes that knowledge on to them.
Like Judy Hopps learning to try to understand Nick, then encouraging all of Zootopia to try and understand each other. Like literally any good story where a whole kingdom needs to realize something.
Also it is never a good idea to defeat your villain just by singing about how you want to defeat your villain. Nobody should have to tell Disney that. They wrote the book on this.
But this movie was made by a company that no longer knows itself.
I could say more, like about the moment where Asha supposedly is at her lowest, or the part where Star “leaves,” or when her friends work together, or the “Knowing What I Know Now” song, but it’s all the same problems.

Anniversary
A/N: Kind of a fluffy piece because I was in one of those moods, but there do be smut!
Summary: One year has passed since the defeat of the Absolute, but Tav is in no mood to take part in the festivities organised by Duke Ravengard. To avoid having to make a public appearance as is expected of the heroine of Baldur’s Gate, she steals away, seeking the peace and quiet of her homestead. Unbeknownst to her she is followed by an old friend.
Tumblr media
Wyll had followed his father’s speech with some heartfelt words of his own. It had been clear to see that his addressing the citizens of Baldur’s Gate was important to the noble heir and it reflected in his praise of their bravery and promises of a better future. A year had passed since the defeat of the Absolute, not nearly enough time to have healed every wound, rebuilt every building or erased every memory of the losses suffered, but Wyll’s empathetic nature could at least offer some comfort. It was good to see him in action again. Her friend seemed equally talented in the art of oration as he was with the blade and Tav gladly shared in the crowds’ jubilation and applause.
After all was said and done she sought him out, wanting to give her congratulations personally. Wyll graciously thanked her with a smile but was in a hurry to get going again.
‘Maybe we’ll see each other once the proper celebration starts,’ he said. ‘There will be music, hopefully also quite a bit of dancing, and the evening is to be accompanied by fireworks.’
He further ensured Tav of Karlach’s well-being and her apologies for not being able to attend the festivities, then excused himself in turn, having to rejoin his father and indulge him some more in political discussions. Tav understood. She was proud of her friend and how much he’d grown ever since their first meeting back in the Grove. Still, it would have been nice to have someone to talk to, someone she knew.
The once tadpoled party of adventurers had since disbanded, everyone busy with their own new lives. All except her. Tav had occupied her mind and hands by helping to rebuild the city but had found no greater personal purpose for herself. All things considered she appeared to be right back at the beginning: A tadpole-free and utterly anonymous life just as it was with most other citizen of Baldur’s Gate. Well, a few more people recognised her nowadays. Some of them were currently patting her shoulder as she made her way through the crowd once more; they offered their own congratulations, followed by questions if they could expect a speech from her as well. No way, she thought to herself while smiling at them.
Tav did not tell a single soul she was in no mood to make a public appearance. The sadness of her loneliness weighted heavier than ever and her encounter with Wyll seemed to have made it all the worse.
Was she really needed here in the first place? Would anyone even notice her absence? A handful of folks might find it peculiar, but really now: Wyll was able to make up for all of them. And the former warlock himself would be busy enough with all sorts of people seeking his attention tonight. Who was there to dance with her? Or watch the fireworks with? No one really if Tav seriously thought about it. So what harm would be in instead spending the rest of the day far away from the festivities, indulging in the peace and quiet offered by her homestead? Not much really. She would be no more lonelier than here.
The crowd’s attention was drawn towards the podium again as Volo was now occupying it, and Tav took her chance and sneaked off, removing herself from the eyes of the madding crowd and any wonderment at her own, now brimming with tears.
She managed to escape notice of all but one. Against the corner of a quiet alley the devil leaned as he watched the heroine of Baldur’s Gate remove herself from any opportunity to bask in the glory and adoration of the public, leaving Raphael himself rather disappointed: Surely she would have given a more interesting speech than the sanctimonious rigmarole of the Ravengard boy. With keen eyes he watched after her disappearing figure. Was she to go home so soon? And here he had been hoping to pay her a surprise visit, for old times’ sake.
Without clear purpose Raphael followed the reluctant heroine. Maybe a more personal meeting would be preferable anyways, and he might also finally get so see how his little misadventurer lived.
He was lead towards a remoter part of the city. Tav quite obviously preferred a home as best as possible removed from the bustling streets and main gathering places, a realisation very much to his liking.
He watched her approach a multistorey house which offered a nice outlook over the Chionthar river. Good for her.
Tav did not look around before entering her home, and Raphael remained out of sight as she closed the door. He stood were he was a while longer, wondering what he was hoping to gain from an encounter with her. It was clear that the woman was of no mind to entertain the company of her fellow citizens, and he figured she would be even less keen to welcoming a devil into her need for privacy. And yet…
Having never thanked her for the delivery of the Crown weighted on his desire to appear polite and proper, always taking pride in his superior demeanour and charms compared to devil-kin and mortals alike. Raphael remembered he had even proposed a dinner to her as well as the chance to sample from his luxurious collection of wine. Better get this whole ordeal done with as promptly as possible so he could finally check off this pending arrangement. And what better opportunity than the anniversary of her triumph?
The knocking on her door was unexpected to say the least. Why was there still someone besides her not attending the celebration? Did one of her neighbours see her? And if so, why did they take her coming home earlier as an invitation to idle chit-chat and meaningless small-talk?
Nevertheless, Tav got up again with a sigh and approached the door. When she opened it she wondered for a brief moment if this whole day had not been a dream after all.
‘Raphael?’
‘Well, hero. Long time no see.’
‘Um, yes,’ she said, still astonished at the sight of the devil on her doorstep. Why had he come for her? All their dealings had been resolved to mutual satisfaction, with him the owner of an all-powerful crown to rule the Nine to his dark heart’s desires, and her… Well, she had her peaceful little life back, didn’t she? No more tadpole to complain about and a city saved. Raphael had no reason to begrudge her anything.
‘Would you like to come in?’ she asked, fully expecting him to decline. He probably had even more urgent business to attend to nowadays, following his dreams of becoming Archdevil Supreme, and would be loathe to spend any more time than necessary in the mortal realm. His call would be a quick one.
Instead he smiled at her: ‘An admirable display of manners. Thank you kindly.’ And the devil brushed passed her, entering her home.
It was a peculiar thing to have Raphael standing in her living room, taking in his surroundings, the state of her furnishings, and herself. Tav folded her hands uncomfortably.
‘Have a seat,’ she offered, trying to relieve both of them of the tension. She joined him at her small dinner table. ‘So, to what do I owe the pleasure of your visit? I thought you would be busy conquering the Hells by now.’
Raphael leaned back with crossed arms, tapping his fingers on his upper arm. ‘I do not expect you to understand these things but overthrowing the Nine requires certain… preparations. And I always plan to perfection.’
How very condescending of him. Nice. Raphael seemed to have not changed a bit.
‘Nevertheless I owe you thanks for bringing me the Crown. It will be put to good use in time, rest assured.’ He started rubbing his chin in thought. ‘I realised I never showed you my gratitude in person.’
Tav shrugged. ‘We had a deal. One we both held up to. As far as I’m concerned there’s nothing left to be said. Although your courtesy is not lost, not even on me.’ Did Raphael not understand the concept of a simple thank-you card?
‘I promised you a dinner.’
‘I did not realise you were being serious about that,’ she said, eyebrows raised.
‘You wound me,’ he said, putting a hand over his chest. ‘It seems you don’t know me at all.’
She regarded him, lost in thought for a moment. Raphael was right: She didn’t know him, not truly. What was he looking to gain from this strange visit? Tav wanted to be alone, not looking to spar with the trying devil.
‘I apologise, Raphael, but I’m not in the mood today.’
‘Clearly. Seeing as you were so eager to flee the festivities, made in honour of your very triumph at that.’
‘The only person there I care about is Wyll… and Volo, I guess. Both of them have far better things to do than mingle with an old friend.’
Raphael looked at her, rubbing his hands together, a wicked smile forming at his lips. ‘Ah, I understand. You miss your friends. Neither of which have made any effort to indulge you.’
She sighed. ‘Correct. Thank you for clarifying it so sympathetically.’
‘And still you are reluctant to indulge me in turn, despite my effort in coming to your realm, spending my precious time with you.’
Was he being serious? Putting himself above her friends who had stuck with her through their adventures, the hardships and all the fighting? Although it did struck Tav like the devil had a point. Whatever his true intentions may be he did still think of her and had indeed come to make conversation.
‘So you are telling me you really just wanted to what? Visit me?’
He shrugged innocently. ‘Why not? I thought you and I had a real friendship.’ And then Raphael snapped his fingers and upon the table appeared a feast for the eyes: A bowl of grapes, both red and green, a plate displaying a finely roasted duck bedded in a field of steaming potatoes, a basket full of baked bread, and even more bowls, some with apples, some with pears, and the two shiniest and beautiful pomegranates Tav had ever seen. In front of her and Raphael two plates had materialised, accompanied by two cups ready to be filled with the wine waiting in the bottle Raphael was holding in his hands. Tav was reluctant to admit it but the wonderful sight and smell of the food made her mouth water.
‘I’m afraid that is all we have room for,’ Raphael said, smiling benevolently. He began to fill Tav’s cup. ‘For a more lavish meal you’ll have to visit my House of Hope sooner or later, little mouse.’
‘You have to be joking. This is a lot more than what I’m used to.’
The devil raised an eyebrow at her. ‘You are the hero of Baldur’s Gate. Pray tell: Why don’t you treat yourself a bit more?’
‘It is as we’ve already discussed: None of my friends are left. What is there to celebrate? We defeated the Absolute and saved the city, our one mutual goal accomplished.’ Tav averted her eyes from his and started filling her plate with food. ‘Now I have to come to terms with the fact that that was not all to be had in life. I will have to find a new quest for that.’
‘Well,’ Raphael said, raising his cup. ‘To new quests and new horizons then.’
‘Yes,’ Tav said, clinking her cup to his reluctantly. ‘And thank you… for the food and drinks.’
‘I always uphold my promises, dear,’ Raphael said as he started to cut one pomegranate and offered half of the fruit to Tav.
They had attacked their meal with fervor and started to fall into more easy conversation, reminiscing in the adventures of the past year. Tav found that talking with Raphael was a lot more pleasant than she would have thought and quietly admitted to herself that his company had turned out to be a welcome one after all.
The sun had started to set, tinting the sky outside a pink shade and from the direction of the festivities they could hear the faint sound of music rising to a pleasant volume to go with their sumptuous repast coming to an end.
Listening to the cheerful melodies being played Tav felt that she dreaded their oncoming departure and just as she’d feared Raphael started to get up, dabbing his mouth and chin with a napkin, but instead of offering his goodbye he extended his hand towards her, a sly smile on his lips. ‘Care for a dance?’
Tav had to stifle a cough. Quickly she held up her hands. ‘Oh, thank you but… I don’t… I don’t think I’m all too good at it.’
‘Well, good thing then that I am,’ the devil said, hand now reaching out to hers, taking it with insistence but also an unexpected gentleness. ‘I will lead you.’
Raphael pulled her up towards him, placing his free hand on her waist. Tav’s skin prickled at the sensation. Keeping true to his word he started leading her through the room, baby steps first until they began to fall into a pleasant rhythm befitting the music.
‘See? It is a lot easier when you have someone to guide you, little mouse.’
‘Yes,’ she admitted, her hand on his shoulder relaxing a bit.
The orchestra fell into a more mellow tune and Raphael adjusted their pace to the softer piece. It was not lost on Tav how he slowly started to pull her closer to him. Their chests were touching now and she thought he’d for sure feel the beating of her heart against him. The devil smiled at the heroine in his arms.
Eventually the music died down and their dancing with it. Soon now Tav would know loneliness again. She never wanted this night to end. But Raphael did not let go of her hand. Instead he started dragging her up the stairs, Tav following silently, letting the devil continue to lead her through her own home. Once upstairs they made their way to the balcony that offered an outlook over the city.
She could hear the crowd cheering and the first firecrackers were set off, drawing her gaze towards the spectacle, but then her face was being grabbed by a set of long elegant fingers pulling her in the direction of her infernal guest. Tav could still see the sparkle of the fireworks in Raphael’s eyes. In their dark brown depths all of the exploding colours appeared a flaming red and she found herself lost in their hellfire gavotte.
Raphael’s lips came crashing down on hers. All too willingly she let herself be engulfed by his embrace, kissing him back with fervor and her fingers roaming through his hair, eyes closed, oblivious to the sight of the lit-up night sky and never even missing it.
Once they pulled apart Raphael’s eyes locked with hers again, mirth clearly visible on his handsome features, his hand still resting on her neck, his thumb gently caressing her cheek. ‘Now I can finally start conquering the Nine.’
He pulled her back inside. Her bedroom. And onto the bed they both landed, Tav’s legs straddling the devil left and right. Their kissing turned more passionate, wilder, filled with hunger. Tav’s heart raced at the sound of Raphael’s moaning and her fingers quickly fiddled with the buttons of his doublet.
As they stripped each other’s clothes off Tav finally found her words once more: ‘I sure am glad you decided to come.’
The devil looked up at her, hair out of place and his chest heaving but the look on his face as smug as ever. ‘Oh, there will be a lot more coming tonight, my dear. Let me assure you of that.’ And his hands grabbed her rear, pressing it to his hips, the tent in his pants rubbing against her nether region. She was already mewling atop of him and quickly went to free Raphael of the rest of his clothing.
Finally their naked bodies tangled around each other and Tav stilled for a moment to take in the sight of him, the devil’s eyes looking up at her expectantly. How could she ever think to turn him away from her home? He truly was her saviour, come again to rescue her from the dull life that had started to creep into her walls, her bones, her mind. She started showering his neck in kisses, her hand roaming over his chest, fingers fondling the fluff of hair, ministrations all spent in the hope of declaring her worship to him. Eternally.
‘Ride me,’ he whispered in her ear. All too compliantly she started guiding his length towards her entrance, already leaking with want, with need. At this moment Tav was willing enough to do anything he asked of her, and still found power in the realisation that now she had become the leader to their horizontal dance.
As his hardened cock slipped inside her she was aware of the ongoing crackle of the fireworks still rocketing into the skies but it was nothing compared to the sound of rapture coming from the man beneath her.
Raphael bucked up his hips, pleading with his body for her to start moving. Following his example earlier, Tav started with a slow rhythm, sinking down on him until her hips were flush against his, his cock buried deep inside her. He groaned at the sensation of her walls engulfing him so sweetly and her name fell from his lips like a prayer as his eyes fluttered shut.
Their mutual rutting was accompanied by the explosions outside but the pair remained oblivious to the celebration, both lost in their own merriment, chasing their pleasure and getting drunk on the sounds of their fucking: The snapping of hips and the delicious squirting coming from Tav’s cunt as it slipped over Raphael’s cock again and again.
She could feel him hitting the right spot over and over and finally Tav moaned his name in ecstasy. Blind from the rush of her orgasm she barely realised that Raphael began to turn her over, climbing on top of her so she now lay beneath him. The devil wasted no time in chasing his own release and started pounding the heroine into the sheets of her bed, its frame creaking dangerously. It did not matter if they were to break it. He would have her again in his own chambers, in every room of his House of Hope and all the beds they would conquer on their way through the Hells. Together they would find their purpose.
These thoughts and the clenching of Tav’s cunt around his length finally sent Raphael over the edge in turn but he found himself unable to stop in his movements, continuing to pump his hips, filling his little conquest with cum, letting her milk her new master for all he had to give her.
Outside the fireworks died down, making way for the jubilation of the crowd, each and every citizen of Baldur’s Gate unaware that they were cheering on the coupling of a newfound hellish alliance.

If I Should Stay
Part 1 | . . . | Part 33 | Part 34 | Part 35
Eddie shifts nervously as he waits for Steve to open the door. He’s halfway expecting Robin, which is why he completely blanks when Allison opens the door instead.
She casually leans against the doorframe and crosses her arm, raising a judgmental eyebrow. “Yes?”
He winces. “Is Steve home?”
“Maybe.” She studies her nails. “Why should I let you see him?”
He takes a deep breath. “I fucked up,” he says, more confidently than he feels. “I’d like to apologize.”
She hums. “And if he decides not to forgive you?”
Eddie spreads his hands hopelessly. “I’d deserve it.”
She tilts her head. “Would you keep trying?”
“It depends on how I feel he means it, what you say, and how he responds to it when I do try again. If I do.”
“Damn,” Allison says, smiling. “I like you.”
Eddie blinks. “Thank you?”
She pats him on the shoulder. “C’mon in. Just know I was the one who taught Steve how to swing a baseball bat.” She smirks as she shuts the door behind him.
Eddie gulps as Steve calls from the kitchen, “Al? Who’s- oh,” he says, walking into the living room and stopping short at the sight of Eddie.
He’d had half a smile on his face that quickly drops at the sight of Eddie. Eddie feels his heart drop in tandem. “Steve,” Eddie says, begs. “Can… can I talk to you?”
Steve looks at him for a moment, then glances behind him to toss a hand towel back in the kitchen. He clenches his jaw and nods. “Sure.”
Allison slips past him and ruffles Steve’s hair on her way to the kitchen. “Asshole,” he mutters.
“Bitch,” she calls back at him before the door shuts behind her.
Eddie snorts, then sobers when Steve raises a brow his direction. “Sorry, I’m not laughing at you, just… is that what having a sibling is like?”
Steve’s expression softens as he glances behind himself. “Yeah.”
Eddie takes a breath and glances at the ground, building his courage, before looking up at Steve. “I’m sorry. I didn’t give you any chance to speak, I just assumed and when you didn’t say anything—again, because I didn’t give you a chance to—I took it as confirmation.” He shifts. “I’m not… this isn’t an excuse, okay? It’s an explanation. And it’s me saying I’m not willing to let it get in the way of us before we’re even a thing. I’m a runner. If things don’t go my way, if they get hard, if I get scared—hell, especially when I get scared—I run. I run, and I hurt people.” He takes a breath and looks Steve in the eye. His hands are shaking. “Like you. I hurt you, and I’m sorry. And I’m… I’m not going to run. Not now. Not later. I do believe you’ve changed—the past few days are evidence enough—and I want to get to know you.”
Steve takes an eternity—five seconds—to process his words. “What you said hurt me,” he says quietly. “And I’m not sure I can get over it just like that.”
“I’ll grovel every day if I have to. Until you believe me.”
Steve offers him a half smile. “That’s the thing. I do believe you, Eds. And I want us to be okay again. But I think it’s gonna take some time.”
Eddie nods. “If there’s anything I can do, to prove I mean it…”
Steve offers him a cheeky grin, and his heart skips a beat. “Kiss me?”
It’s half-joking, half-serious, and Eddie takes it as the olive branch it is. “Absolutely,” he immediately answers, smiling, moving to cup Steve’s cheeks in his hands.
He leans in and kisses him, slowly, heartfelt, the way Steve deserves to be kissed, then leans back and swipes his thumbs over Steve’s cheekbones. “God,” he murmurs. “You’re incredible, d’you know that?”
He feels the heat from Steve’s blush in his palms. “I’m just me.”
“No such thing as just when it’s you,” Eddie answers, completely serious.
Steve chuckles and rests their foreheads together. “How long did Robin yell at you?”
Eddie’s brows furrow. “I haven’t seen her. Wayne pulled the story out of me and said I was being an idiot.”
Steve begins to snicker. “Last I knew, she was heading over to give you a piece of her mind.”
Eddie chuckles, then suddenly pales. “Oh, fuck.”
Steve blinks. “What?”
“Knowing Wayne? He invited her in. They’re best friends now.”
“I see no downsides to this.”
“They’re going to gang up on us, Steve. It’s all downsides.”
“Nah. You, maybe, but Robs and I are soulmates.”
Eddie gasps and puts a hand to his chest. “Are you insinuating you’d chose your soulmate over your-”
He stops short, heart thumping oddly. “Um. Steve?”
“What are we?” Steve answers.
“Yeah.”
“That’s… a really good question, Eddie.”

GILBERT VON OBSIDIAN EVENT STORY....
Tumblr media
MAKE ME FEEL ALIVE, HIS SIDE STORY.
translations are not 100% accurate. expect mistakes.
trigger warning: suggestive, violence.
MINORS DNI.
Birthdays always come every year as long as I’m alive, even if I don't want to.
━━FLASHBACK━━
Albert: Happy birthday, Gil.
Mother: I'm glad you were able to age properly this year. I feel like I'm about to cry.
━━
Aristocrat: Happy birthday, Lord Gilbert.
Aristocrat: I hope you liked the surprise party I prepared for you.
(Stop….)
━━
Albert: Look, I got that academic book you wanted.
Albert: It's really amazing how you can understand such a difficult book, you're a genius. // You're really amazing to understand such a difficult book, you're a genius.
Mother: I made some new clothes.
Tumblr media
Mother: I'm sure you'll grow out of it soon, so please let me make you a new outfit for your birthday.
━━
Aristocrat: Of course, we also have prepared many presents.
Aristocrat: All of us present here would like to offer our heartfelt blessings to His Highness——
(…Stop.)
━━
Albert: I'm sure Gil will grow up to be a good man every time he celebrates his birthday.
Mother: Hehe, look forward to it. But the most important thing is for you to live.
Mother: Happy birthday to you many, many times, Gil.
━━
Aristocrat for embezzlement: Congratulations.
Aristocrat for theft: Congratulations, Lord Gilbert.
Aristocrat for murder: My sincerest congratulations, Lord Gilbert.
Tumblr media
Gilbert: ——….Hehe, thank you. But I don't need that.
Aristocrat for the crime of human trafficking: Lord Gilbert?
Gilbert: I'm feeling sleepy today, so I'm heading back. Good night.
Gilbert: I'll see you on the execution site.
(Stop it…stop it, stop it.)
(I don't want those memories to be tarnished by the farce of those filthy aristocrats.)
━━
Aristocrat for the crime of human trafficking: Lord Gilbert, please forgive me!
Tumblr media
Gilbert: Hm, what? You don't want to die in an instant?
Gilbert: If that's the case, I'll execute you myself. I'm not used to handling a sword yet….
Gilbert: I'm sure it will take a while, unlike the Emperor, but that's okay, right?
Aristocrat for the crime of human trafficking: Aa….aaAAAAAAHHH—!
Gilbert: Ahaha! What a shame. Everyone, take a good look.
Gilbert: This isn't someone else's business…yes?
(I don't need birthdays anymore.)
(It would be better for me to just disappear than be corrupted by those filthy aristocrats.)
(No one is allowed to celebrate my birthday.)
(Anyone who congratulates me will be killed without exception.)
(Roderich, Walter, all of them, without exception——)
━━FLASHBACK ENDS━━
Gilbert: Hey, hey, little rabbit. Do you know my birthday is almost close?
——One day when the snow started to fall, those words fell out of my mouth instinctively.
Emma: Huh, when is it!?
Gilbert: One week later.
Emma: Why didn't you tell me earlier!
Emma: What should I do…is it possible to prepare the ingredients for the cake now….
Tumblr media
Gilbert: ….
(Why did I say that?)
(I thought I decided long ago not to let anyone celebrate my birthday.)
Emma: Is something wrong?
Gilbert: No, it's nothing.
(But I'm sure you….)
(….You wouldn't lie to me, would you?)
━━
Roderich: ——That was surprising.
On the way back to my room after my regular checkup, I found myself alone with Roderich and mumbled something.
Gilbert: Because I told her about my birthday?
Roderich: Yes. Me and the doctor are planning to celebrate….
Tumblr media
Gilbert: No, I won't allow it.
Roderich: As expected.
Gilbert: Hehe, I thought I'd give the little rabbit a special chance.
Gilbert: I don't know how many more birthdays I will have. I thought it would be better not to have any regrets.
Roderich: It can be as many times as you want. Whether it's 10 years or 100 years.
Gilbert: I'm not immortal.
Gilbert: But, well, maybe I'm getting carried away this year. // But, maybe I'm just too excited this year.
Gilbert: ….I used to look forward to my birthday a lot, you know?
Gilbert: I wonder what kind of presents she will give me, and what kind of delicious food she’s preparing for me…..
Gilbert: When I'm with the little rabbit, I sometimes remember those feelings I had when I was a human.
Roderich: ….
Roderich, who was right beside me, had stopped walking.
When I approached him, his face which was hidden behind the hood remained downcast, and did not rise to look me in the eye.
Gilbert: Eh, I was just kidding. What are you crying about? That’s disgusting…..
Roderich: ….Even the doctor had teary eyes after your checkup.
Roderich: He said it’s been a while since he heard about your birthday at the obsidian castle….
Roderich: Lord Gilbert celebrated other people's birthdays, but was not happy to celebrate his own.
Gilbert: Ahaha, how honest, aren’t you? I don't know if the little rabbit will celebrate, after all the threats I’ve made.
Roderich: I wouldn't call that a threat.
Gilbert: Then what?
Roderich: It's just your way of saying that you’re looking forward to your birthday.
━━
(——I wonder if I'm that easy to understand.)
Until the day of my birthday, the little rabbit must have been in deep distress.
Her hands were shaking with nervousness as she baked the cake, and her expression was worrying.
Still, she ended up making a birthday cake for me.
It seems that even after hearing that someone was sent to the execution stand, her intentions did not change.
(I think she got the message that I was expecting her.)
Emma: ….This is just my speculation….
Emma: Lord Gilbert—— Gil, I don't think you want to celebrate your birthday.
Emma: You hate lies.
Emma: Because it was supposed to be a special and important day, you couldn't allow yourself to be defiled by corruption and deception.
Emma: …..That's what I thought.
Tumblr media
Gilbert: Hehe…as expected of the little rabbit, who loves me so much.
(You’re spot on.)
(Honestly, I didn't think you could see through it that much, but I guess you can see into my heart.)
(…You are completely different from the rotten aristocrats.)
Gilbert: Are you really going to congratulate me?
Emma: Of course.
Gilbert: I've killed many people so far, and I might kill many more in the future.
Gilbert: I’ve sent someone to the execution stand after I celebrated my birthday before, and I'll do it again if anyone like that shows up in the future, you know?
Emma: …..
(…How cruel of me.)
I am by no means doubting Emma’s beautiful heart.
But after so many years of dealing with corruption and deceit, I am paranoid as a matter of habit.
It was also for self-defense, not wanting to be disappointed because I wanted a heartfelt celebration.
Emma: ….I see.
After a long silence, the little rabbit nodded.
Emma: Even if you have made the whole world your enemy, I will congratulate you.
Emma: I'm already a bad woman, so it's too late for that.
Emma: Please don't underestimate my love for you.
(….)
(…You're crying.)
Her eyes are slightly moist with determination, but she looks forward with dignity.
It was more beautiful than the memory of a birthday I once had, and it burned strongly in my mind.
Gilbert: ….Hehe, sorry. I was bullying you too much.
(I just want to be celebrated by you, but I don't feel safe unless I do this.)
(I'm so sorry, little rabbit.)
I stand in front of Emma and use my fingers to scoop up her tears that are about to fall.
(But I finally found someone to celebrate with.)
(I thought that once I fell into the beast, I would never be a part of it again….)
(…I feel like it's a kind of blessing that a great villain who killed a lot of people shouldn't enjoy…)
As I secretly close my aching heart, without warning, Emma puts her hand on my cheek and kisses me lightly.
Gilbert: What?
Emma: …I can't give you a cake right now, so here's an alternative gift for you.
(Really….I wonder how bare my heart is in front of you.)
Gilbert: That's a poor gift.
Emma: How about this?
The little rabbit puts her arms around my neck and takes a deeper kiss than before.
(…For a moment, I wondered if it was okay to be so happy despite being a big villain——)
(Well, if I’m the big villain, it's just enough for me to snatch away all the happiness that little rabbit gives me.)
(I never thought about it before…)
(Wouldn't it be nice to receive a little reward for living in a dirty world?)
My wavering heart hardened and I bit the little rabbit's lip.
When she froze in surprise, the first thing I did was pry her lips open with my fingers.
Making sure her tongue was out and I bit it to the extent that it didn't hurt, I placed my hand on Emma’s leg as she leaned on the table.
(Come to think of it, the little rabbit is wearing the outfit I made for her today.)
(…I'm sorry that you've been dyed by me.)
When I lifted the hem of her black dress and forced my fingers deep inside her, Emma’s face contorted in pain.
Emma: Gil…it hurts….
Gilbert: Yeah, on purpose.
Emma: Why….
Gilbert: Because you don't like pain, do you, little rabbit?
When I plunged her deep into the pit of her stomach with my fingers, her expression immediately turned lewd.
Gilbert: See, you looked like you were feeling good.
Gilbert: By the way, we’re in the kitchen. Are you going to stop me?
(I'm sure the little rabbit would resist more.)
The wet squelching sounds and her moans became more visible the moment I added two more fingers.
Emma: ….Just…for today….
Emma: No matter what Gil wants…if he wants to do it here, I’d take it all….
Gilbert: Because it's my birthday?
When I asked, the little rabbit brought my head close to her soft chest.
Emma: I do not…lie.
Emma: So...you can try it until you feel safe, Gil.
Emma: My celebration is from the bottom of my heart…my sincerest congratulations…
Emma: I will keep telling Gil, no matter how much it hurts, until he believes in me.
Gilbert: …..
Gilbert: Oh, no. I guess I've been found out.
(I feel like I can't hide anything in front of you.)
Emma: Gil is probably a lot easier to understand than I think.
Gilbert: I think those words can only be said because you are facing me head-on.
Tumblr media
Gilbert: …It's really a pity that a troublesome man likes you so much.
(As long as you understand my intentions and wish me a happy birthday, I'll be fine.)
(I don't think I'll be betrayed by you.)
I stroked the little rabbit’s weak spot as a reward and to her response, she was trembling in pleasure.
(Birthdays are coming back again this year.)
(…Yeah. Maybe it’s not so bad.)
━━
Despite being bullied by the beast, the little rabbit somehow manages to finish the birthday cake and feed it to me.
The first birthday in a long time was filled with the warmth and tender feelings that had once been so natural to me.
Gilbert: Hehe…your heart is still beating, isn't it?
Emma: I can…hear your heartbeat too, Gil.
At the end of the celebration, we lie down on the bed, skin to skin, as if it were natural.
As I listened to the sound of the heartbeats coming from our chests,
The little rabbit placed her hand on my back and I felt a slight pain.
(Ah—…. I guess it's a scratch from when I held you earlier.)
The little rabbit’s face turned apologetic the moment she noticed my expression.
Emma: …I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to.
Gilbert: I don’t mind. I like being hurt by you too.
Gilbert: You could have left bite marks as well as scratches.
When I run my fingers down her delicate arm, there are clear bite marks.
(Hehe, it must have hurt a lot. The little rabbit cried many times)
(You're crazy because you still love me.)
(….Well, I don't think any sane person could ever love me.)
Emma: It's hard to tell how much is too much or too little love Gil.
Gilbert: Then, let's learn it sometime soon. How about by next year's birthday?
Emma: I hope…you will let me celebrate again next year.
Gilbert: Who knows? It's up to you whether it’ll be your last or your first.
Gilbert: If you love me a lot, I might change my mind...okay?
Emma: ….
Gilbert: It’s just...my celebration this year wasn't unpleasant.
Gilbert: ….Thank you.
Emma: …..
(It's like I'm getting back one of my forgotten emotions.)
The more time I spend with the little rabbit, the more things I once let go of may gradually come back to me.
It is a frightening yet happy thing.
Emma: So…next time, how about we celebrate with Mr. Roderich and Mr. Walter?
Emma: I'm sure both of them really want to congratulate you, Lord Gilbert.
Gilbert: That’s not allowed.
(I'm sure those two want to celebrate my birthday….)
Tumblr media
Gilbert: I don't need other people's congratulations. As long as I have yours, that's all that matters.
Gilbert: Because you're the only one I love.
When I said this clearly, the little rabbit looked embarrassed and shy.
(…You're so cute.)
Emma: Gil…I forgot to mention the most important thing.
Gilbert: Hm?
Emma: Happy birthday.
Emma: I'll give you lots of love…so please let me celebrate with you again next year.
(…So many reasons I can’t die like this.)
Tumblr media
(I'm at a loss. But since it's a request from my beloved rabbit, I can't resist.)
Gilbert: Hehe, I understand. I'll let you celebrate as long as you are.
Gilbert: Keep loving the beast with your pure heart, just as you are…got it?
(So please. Don't you just disappear like those two.)
(As long as I'm alive, you have to make sure you celebrate my birthday every year…okay?)

I present to you:
Tommy and Josh are friends. Somehow after some calls they got friendly and at one point decided to just hang out after exchanging numbers and texting for a while. They clicked. They found out they both were gay and it's so easy to finally have a friend that gets it.
So at one of their hangouts after the hurrican thing Tommy talks about the stunt the 118 pulled and he is like making fun before he talks about this guy being a literal golden retriever, trying to encourage the them and Josh just laughs and says "That's Buck alright." And Tommy just slowly turns to Josh with a look, a look that Josh has come to know and Josh goes "No Tommy, no."
And Tommy is all like "I didn't even say anything!"
And Josh is like "I get it trust me. First few times I meet him, I also crushed but that man is straight and also a giant idiot. His heart is too big and he wouldn't know how to turn you down. As his friend, I am telling you do not."
And Tommy goes "fine" and then they continue on with Tommy telling Josh about meeting up with Eddie and Josh makes a joke about the two army guys obviously bonding.
Cut to like three weeks later (They have both had different shift schedules and Josh has helped Maddie with the wedding) and they meet up after the restaurant date and Josh can sense something is wrong with his friend.
He wants to probe but Tommy just says "Thought I had a chance with a cute guy bit turns out he wasn't ready for something" and Josh gets it. He's been there, it sucks sometimes and he just offers his friend a shoulder to lean.
Another two weeks pass and when they meet up again Tommy is smiling. Like his nose scrunch smile which he only does when he is really smitten and Josh has truly only seen it once. So he immediately goes into questioning mood but Tommy just laughs and says "You know that cute guy? I think he is ready" but he won't elaborate further. And Josh is trying but Tommy just keeps giving vague answers and wow, Josh truly has never seen Tommy like this and feels a swell of happiness because whoever has his friend smiling like that better be good and worth it.
Josh also coincidentally has a meet up with the Buckley-Han family (they are already married to him basically) and he notices how Buck is glancing at his phone a lot and having this goofy smile and wow. He makes a joke about Buck having found a new girlfriend and Buck sort of freezes and now Josh feels bad but then he smiles such a soft smile it kind of hits him in the chest when he says "I am seeing someone and I am really happy." Cut to Chim wanting to probe but Buck not bugging and Josh just feeling happy for his friend. Maddie suddenly turns and ask "Did you want to bring them to the wedding?" and Buck kind of sheepishly replies "I already invited them." And Maddie softly chuckles talking about how gone her brother is and Josh is suddenly aware that Buck is using only they/them which isn't weird but it's not how Buck usually talks.
And Chim pipes up and says "With how much time you have been spending talking complaining about Tommy before, I have no idea where you suddenly got a date" and OMG.
Buck flushes a bit, Maddie laughs and Josh slaps a hand over his mouth to stop a giggle coming out.
Buck notices of course he does and when they are done later he pulls Josh aside and wants to talk but Josh just throws himself at Buck, hugging him.
"If you break his heart as his friend I have to hurt you. But as your friend, I couldn't be more happier for you" to which Buck kind of melts, chuckles and returns the hug.
On the way home, after some more heartfelt words because he knows how difficult and hard this can be, Josh stops the car at Tommy's flat, knocks up a storm and pushes past Tommy only to explode in the hallway as soon as the door is closed.
"YOU ARE DATING EVAN BUCKLEY AND YOU DIDN'T THINK TO TELL ME!"
And Tommy is a bit flabbergasted and laughs to which Josh kind of gets upset and says "I love you, I am fully in support of your relationship, I couldn't be happier, he is a catch but damn, are you telling me I could have had a chance?"
Which just causes a ridiculous laughing and giggling fit between two grown ass adults that Josh and Tommy will be happy to deny ever happened.

______
As soon as she entered his room she wondered in her slightly unsober mind what she was actually doing. She watched as he took two wine glasses out of the kitchen cupboard and walked towards the open living room, while she thought strenuously about whether he would add something to her drink if she just went to the toilet for a moment.
She knew nothing about him.
He was a stranger to her.
She was snapped out of her reverie by his low voice, the look in his healthy eye dark and expectant.
"What does he want from you?" He asked directly, without any warning, as if they had known each other forever, and he was her friend to whom she was about to tell her heartfelt dilemmas.
She swallowed quietly at the thought, moving slowly towards the couch and sat down on it. Targaryen immediately sat down next to her, but not too close, allowing her to keep her distance. He poured what was left in the bottle into their glasses, waiting patiently for her response.
With a trembling hand, she opened her clutch bag and took out her phone. She unlocked it and began to read the messages she had received from Cregan.
Tumblr media
She swallowed loudly, struggling to hold back tears, locking the screen back, putting the phone again in her purse. She couldn't believe in what she just read, her heart pounding like crazy, her head humming from the wine and stress.
She had spent so many months getting herself together, to accept the fact that he didn't want her, and now he claimed he had changed his mind?
"Question for question." She said abruptly, looking at him tiredly. She recognised that if she was to externalise herself to him, he had to reciprocate.
They knew nothing about each other.
He looked at her intensely for a moment, indecision painted on his face. He was apparently considering all the pros and cons, but in the end he grunted and nodded. She looked down at her hands.
"My ex-boyfriend wanted to be my friend. Months later, when I finally got myself together, he decided he had made a mistake. That maybe we should get back together after all." She choked out with difficulty, reaching for her glass and taking a loud sip from it. She saw that he moved restlessly, playing with his fingers stretched out on his knee, tense. She felt he wanted to say something, but she didn't give him the chance.
"You and the woman you were with at the banquet. Are you two together?" She asked uncertainly, arranging herself comfortably on the sofa, taking a sip of wine, looking at him intently. She saw his whole body tense up, he wasn't looking at her but ahead.
"No." He replied coolly, immediately pressing his glass to his lips.
"Why did you break up?" He asked almost immediately, and she twisted in her seat feeling her heart pounding.
She felt shame.
Why did they break up?
Because she was insufficient?
Because he wasn't ready?
She lifted her legs and tucked them under her thighs, changing positions slightly and sighed quietly.
"He wanted to have some more fun." She said quietly, feeling him give her a sudden, surprised look and move as if he wanted to say something.
"Are you sleeping with her?" She asked suddenly, looking down at her glass, which she held in her hands.
She needed to know.
She needed to know who she was dealing with.
He was silent for too long for her to realise what his answer would be.
"Yes." He said, but there was a kind of withdrawal and uncertainty in his voice that surprised her, as if he really didn't want to admit it.
She looked at him thoughtfully recognising that he was a very insecure man hiding behind a mask of indifference and coldness. She concluded that there was no point in her trying to understand him or his relationship. She opened her mouth wanting to ask at last the question that had been pressing on her lips since she had entered his room.
"Why did you want us to come here?"
He looked at her horrified and went pale, swallowing loudly, twisting uncertainly in his seat, looking away. She pressed her lips together, feeling that they both subconsciously knew answer to this question.
She thought that there was nothing wrong with what they wanted. Since he claimed he wasn't in a relationship with his assistant, and she wasn't in a relationship with Cregan, they were free people.
She looked at him, at his scarred cheek, at his artificial eye. She looked at his jaw, at his nose, his mouth, his hair. He was handsome, he was dark, cold.
She thought he attracted her.
“You can say it. It’s okay.” She said quietly and softly, wanting him to know that she wasn't judging or condemning him, that she appreciated how honest he was with her. She knew what she could count on and what she couldn't and it gave her a kind of security.
She saw him lick his lips nervously and move his shoulders, swallowing hard without looking at her, playing with the glass in his hand.
“I want it.” He whispered almost silently, his lower lip trembling as he spoke the words.
She lowered her gaze at his words, embarrassed, feeling her insides pulsate involuntarily at the very thought of what could happen between them. She lifted her gaze to him and, seeing that he still couldn't look at her, she set her glass down, moving closer to him, sitting on her knees.
She saw him look at her surprised and horrified as she grasped his large hand gently, her thumb running gently over his soft skin. They were both warm from the alcohol and the tension. She saw him swallow quietly, then lean back and set his glass down on the table.
He looked at her as if hesitating, and after surprising her by grasping her face in his hands, he moved closer to her, looking at her with slightly parted lips.
Only now could she see his scar more clearly, his glassy, artificial eye and the healthy one looking at her with a hazy, dark gaze.
She thought she was not afraid of him.
That she wanted to touch him.
When he leaned towards her she moved closer to him, their lips brushed uncertainly, tentatively. They both sighed and kissed again, just as gently, unhurriedly, as if to see if they liked the feeling, his lips firm and warm, tasting of wine. She threw her arms around his neck and he purred into her mouth, emboldened by the gesture.
Only now did she feel that he was much bigger than her, taller even than Cregan, she had the feeling that he encircled her whole person and she felt safe with that thought.
"I want to taste you." He whispered and she felt a powerful shudder, her insides clenching helplessly around nothing. "Will you let me?"
She felt shame at the thought of how much she wanted this.
She couldn't hide what was happening between her legs. As soon as he slipped her underwear off her thighs he could see what his words, his temper and his appearance were doing to her. He touched her leaking entrance gently, watching carefully for her reactions. She shuddered and moaned helplessly, delicate and hypersensitive.
He did what he wanted with her, teasing her clit with his thumb while sinking his finger into her hot entrance once in a while. She breathed loudly, trying to meet his expectations and answer his questions.
"− what made you so wet? − hm? − messages from your ex? −" He hissed, his finger sliding in and out of her with a perverted, sticky click of her own wetness. He tightened his lips as soon as she squirmed at his words, turning her head away, writhing beneath him.
"− answer me −"
"− no −" She mumbled with difficulty, and he hummed under his breath with the satisfaction, leaning between her thighs. She couldn't stand his subtle caresses, she hadn't expected him to be so gentle, the tip of his tongue teasing her entrance and clit, barely slipping in between her folds.
"− I fucking knew it − I knew you would taste wonderful −" He exhaled, pressing his nose against her warm womanhood. His tongue slided suddenly into her swollen, fleshy interior, licking her shamelessly, her hands tightened involuntarily on his hair pressing him closer, a quiet mewling came out of her mouth.
She was horrified at how close she had come to fulfilment, at how easily he had brought her body to such a state.
When she came on his face she lost touch with reality completely for a moment, panting loudly, clenching her eyes shut, the tickling heat spreading throughout her body, loosening her muscles.
She looked up at him sleepily when she heard the sound of fabric being unfastened and saw that his hands were at his zipper, his pupil dilated, his gaze thirsty and hot.
"You still want this?"
She nodded.
She let him carry her onto his bed, his arms holding her gently and tenderly. She hugged his neck and felt a pleasant buzz in her head as he laid her down on the sheets. She swallowed loudly as she watched him put a condom on his swollen, hard manhood and pressed her lips together at the thought of actually doing it.
She felt her insides pulsate again at the thought.
Her heart was pounding like crazy.
He leaned over her, his gaze full of something she couldn't name. It was dark, murky, but warm at the same time, full of affect, although she didn't know why. For some reason she sensed he would not be violent towards her and she felt a momentary relaxation.
"Already during the show I was wondering how to get you into my bed. How tight and hot you must be inside." He exhaled, guiding the tip of his cock against her hypersensitive entrance. She opened her mouth, drawing in a deep breath at his words.
Already during the show I was wondering how to get you into my bed.
That's why he was looking at her like that.
She felt a strong shudder pass through her at the thought.
When she felt him inside her she closed her eyes, sighing with effort and relief at the same time. He was big and pulsating, pushing her tight walls to their limits, making it hard for her to catch her breath. He looked at her as if he couldn't believe they were really doing this, his lips parted in an accelerated breath.
They both moaned in surprise at as he began to move inside her, slowly at first, as if he wanted to savour this moment and the feeling of her throbbing, warm walls.
After a moment, his hips began to accelerate, stretching her insides to the limit, pulsing on him with desire. She had already forgotten how wonderfully pleasurable it was, her lips parted in accelerated gasps each time he rubbed the point inside her that made her hot.
"− oh, baby −" He exhaled, speeding up, entering her with a loud, wet slap of flesh against flesh, looking at her with an expression of delight on his face.
She wasn't sure if Cregan had ever looked at her like that.
She felt her insides tighten around his length at that thought, with every thrust he made, the slap of his thighs against her buttocks, it felt better and better, as if she realised that she really did want this.
She wanted him.
She touched his cheek with her palm as he leaned down and kissed her tenderly, deeply, devotedly, pressing his forehead against hers.
"− you like it when someone takes care of you, don't you? − when someone fucks you properly −" He gasped fucking her faster and faster, she felt the whole bed creak beneath them, his hands clenched tightly on her hips, his body focused only on pushing his cock into her again and again.
She felt the heat in her lower abdomen reach its zenith again, a mewling sound erupted from her mouth that was also meant to be a pathetic confirmation of his words, her lips parted wide.
"− I'm gonna cum now, okay? − I'm gonna cum inside my sweet little girl −" He exhaled and she nodded quickly, feeling his words between her thighs, sensing that her fulfilment was rapidly approaching, that just a few more of his movements and she would come again.
"− oh, yes, please −" She mumbled, feeling his hand begin to tease her clit again.
They both moaned loudly into each other's mouths, feeling each other's orgasms, she heard him sigh helplessly as he felt her core clench violently against him again and again, his cock twitching and pulsing inside her in fulfilment.
Looking misty-eyed at his face, at his clenched eyes, feeling his nose pressed against her cheek, his lips trailing over hers, his trembling hot breath enveloping her skin, some part of her regretted that he had to use a condom, that she couldn't feel his semen inside her. She blushed at the thought, panting loudly, embarrassed at the idea.
They stroked each other's faces with their palms, breathing fast and trembling all over, trying to calm each other down, when suddenly someone started pounding on his door with their fist.
"Aemond? What the fuck? Who the fuck are you in there with?" She heard a raised, distraught female voice and looked at him with big eyes, horror on his face, he shook his head quickly, his mouth formed the voiceless words "Be quiet".
"Aemond!" The woman started pounding on the door and pawing at the handle, she felt her whole body start to quiver, she sobbed quietly. He laid on top of her and embraced her as if he wanted to comfort her and protect her from what was happening.
"You fucking bastard! Are you fucking this little girl? This little slut? God fucking damn you! How could you do this to me!" She heard her angry voice followed by sobs. She herself began to cry hearing it, in her head the words she had spoken.
Are you fucking this little girl?
This little slut?
Why did she feel like a whore if they weren't together?
"What have we done?" She asked in a terrified whisper, feeling his lips pressed against her temple.
"Shhh." He silenced her by stroking her head, she could feel his heart pounding hard.
He was as terrified as she was.
She cried out quietly in his arms hearing her for a moment longer, and then she heard someone in the distance open and close the door loudly.
Complete silence ensued.
She swallowed loudly, his hand steadily stroking her head snuggled into the hollow of his neck, only after a moment did she realise he was still deep inside her.
Seconds later he lifted himself up on his elbows, glancing down at her most likely to see what state she was in. She could see that he was also shaken, both of them looking at each other breathing unevenly.
"You can sleep here if you want. I'll give you my shirt." He said uncertainly and she blinked, her lips slightly parted in disbelief.
He was proposing that she stay with him for the night.
Probably through remorse.
She shook her head and saw that an expression of disappointment flashed across his face, his jaw clenched tightly, his nostrils moved anxiously.
"I can't. I'll be up all night dreading that she's coming here again. I won't sleep a wink." She explained in a trembling voice, wanting him to know that this wasn't about him. He swallowed loudly at her words and nodded, then slowly pulled himself out of her.
She gasped in discomfort and clenched her eyes shut, feeling a sudden chill and emptiness inside her, his hand stroking her cheek reassuringly.
"Shhh. Wait here a minute, okay? Don't go anywhere." He said pulling up his trousers and getting out of bed to disappear into the bathroom a moment later. She sat on his bed only now feeling that her whole body was shaking from stress, her eyes burning from crying.
A minute later he came out of the toilet, a wet towel and a glass of water in his hand. He handed it to her, his hand with the damp material slipped between her thighs. She clenched them, frightened, but he looked at her calmly.
"Let me. I don't want you to leave my room in this condition." He said lowly, and she felt a warmth spread over her heart that she didn't want to feel at all.
She relaxed her hips and felt the warm, wet towel wipe her clean of all her sticky juices, bringing her relief and comfort. She involuntarily took a few deep sips of water from the glass feeling her throat dry up after what had happened.
As soon as he finished he rose and she stood up with him, covering her thighs with her dress, moving on shaky legs towards the sofa to get her underwear, putting it on quickly. She felt him watching her alertly as she picked up her clutch bag and his briefcase of documents.
As she moved towards the entrance, putting on her shoes quickly, he followed her, doing the same as she did.
"What are you doing?" She asked surprised, fatigue, terror and alcohol mixing in her head.
"You don't think I'm going to let her catch you alone in a corridor somewhere after that scene, do you?" He asked coolly, and she swallowed loudly.
She saw him quietly grab the doorknob and open the door silently, leaning his head out, looking around. He nodded for her to follow him and they both started for the stairs, not wanting to wait in plain sight for the lift.
They climbed to her floor and only then did she feel relieved. However, they both froze and stopped in mid-step when they saw her father emerge suddenly from his room, apparently heading for her brother's apartment.
When he saw her, her tear-stained face his brow furrowed in a way she knew all too well, his accusing gaze falling on the Targaryen standing beside her.
"What happened?" He asked expectantly, she could feel her heart pounding hard, she thought she had to think of something quickly.
"Cregan has been nagging me all day and I felt bad during our conversation. Mr Aemond was kind enough to offer to walk me to my room to make sure I was okay." She mumbled being on the verge of crying again, looking at her father pleadingly.
He muttered under his breath and nodded at Targaryen, putting his arm around her and saying 'thank you for your concern'.
Before she entered her room she glanced at him apologetically over her shoulder, their tired gazes meeting for a moment before he turned and started down the corridor in the other direction.
Her father began to question her about what was going on and ordered her to show him what messages Cregan was sending his daughter. Feeling that she needed to somehow make her story credible she showed him textes she had been receiving from him throughout the day.
"Couldn't he finally decide on something? Why is he messing with your head like that? I'll talk to his father when we get back." He said angrily, ignoring her pleas for him not to do so and that they were no longer children in kindergarten. When her father left, angry and shaken, she called Royce quickly.
He was in her room after a few minutes.
He walked in smiling, but seeing her state and her red eyes he immediately furrowed his brow, looking at her anxiously.
"What's wrong? Cregan?" He asked walking up to her, putting his hands on her shoulders, as usual physically showing her his support. She pressed her lips together at his questions.
"Not only that." She whispered with a blush of embarrassment and shame not believing what she was about to say.
"I slept with someone." She mumbled, burying her face in her hands, shaking her head. Her brother threw her a confused yet amused look.
"Well… I told you to have fun. I just hope he didn't hurt you? Do you regret it?" He asked bending down to her level as if to see what the look in his eyes betrayed. She looked at him helplessly, lowering her hands.
"I slept with Aemond Targaryen…"
"WHAT?"
"…and when it was all over his assistant, who he is sleeping with but is not in a relationship with, started banging on our door when she heard us, screaming and crying." She mumbled out quickly on one exhale, wiping quickly the tears that were again flying down her cheeks, her brother looking at her in disbelief. He ran his hand through his hair, shaking his head.
"I, God, this is totally fucked up. If they're not together then why did she make him a scene?" He asked rhetorically.
"I have no idea! Maybe there's more to her than that though. She was already looking at me at breakfast after I exchanged a few words with him and I'm afraid she knows it's me. That she's going to say something to our father." She said in a trembling voice, Royce pressed his lips together.
"Has she seen you?" He asked uncertainly.
"No, but our father saw me and Aemond when he walked me to my room. He wanted to make sure this woman didn't catch me anywhere. I told him he only saw me off." She explained brokenly, seeing her brother's horrified gaze.
He let out a loud breath, burying his face in his hands as if he felt immense relief. He put his hands at his sides, looking at her with a mixture of awe and disbelief.
"Well, my little sister, I see that when you do have fun, you do it with pomp." He said amused and she burst into laughter at his words, somewhat relaxed by the fact that she had told him, that she didn't have to carry this burden alone.
Before bed she took a quick shower, wanting to refresh herself after what they had done. She realised to her surprise, standing under the drops of hot water falling on her body, that she didn't regret what she had done after all.
She couldn't erase his touch, tell herself that it hadn't been pleasant, that it hadn't given her pleasure.
She thought, sighing, that they were both adults, they had done what they wanted, and now their paths would part and everything would go back to normal. She thought she would call Cregan tomorrow and explain to him exactly how she felt, and if that didn't work, she would just block his number for a while.
She came out of the bathroom in her pyjamas and involuntarily reached for her phone wanting to see if Cregan had written anything else. She was surprised when she saw that she had received some direct message on Instagram from a strange account, but it didn't look like spam. She opened it and started reading.
Tumblr media
She swallowed loudly feeling her heart pounding.
A.
Aemond.
She felt relieved and hot in her lower abdomen at the thought that he had found her, that he had made the effort just to write her that.
She knew that he must have seen that she had displayed the message and she didn't want him to feel that she was pretending that nothing had happened. She took a long time to respond and deleted and rephrased several times.
Tumblr media
She felt a shudder when she saw that he had immediately displayed her message and wondered if he would write anything more. She felt a stab of disappointment when nothing appeared after a few minutes but decided it was still nice of him to write to her.
She shuddered when she heard the sound of a vibration, a notification displayed on her phone that she had received a new message on Instagram. She unlocked her phone with her heart pounding hard, wondering why it excited her so much.
She thought maybe it was because he seemed so withdrawn, dark, silent, and now he was talking to her of his own free will.
Tumblr media
She pursed her lips as she read this and swallowed loudly.
He opened up to her.
He talked about his relationship.
She rolled over on her sheets, sitting up, thinking deeply about what she should answer to that. She didn't want to judge him or ask too in-depth questions, but she wanted to understand him.
Tumblr media
She finally replied, her heart tightening.
Will this answer upset him? Was she too direct? She flinched as her phone vibrated again.
Tumblr media
A short, cold answer. She swallowed loudly, sighing softly, not knowing whether she should write more or not.
Tumblr media
She pursed her lips as she read this. Somehow their relationship was as complicated as hers and Cregan's. She wondered if she should advise him something.
Tumblr media
She blinked, feeling her heart pounding hard.
Exchange of mutual benefits.
Objectification.
Had he done this to her today to make her go easy on his grandfather's deal and convince her father to sign it?
She swallowed hard at the thought.
Tumblr media
Tumblr media
Tumblr media
He didn't answer her question for a very long time and she slowly started to fall asleep in her bed. She suddenly jumped up when her screen lit up after several minutes.
Tumblr media
She pursed her lips as she read the messages that appeared quickly one after the other. She thought he had finished the rest of the wine that was left in his room.
Tumblr media
She fell asleep almost immediately after sending the message, the alcohol numbed her completely and made her not wake up until the morning. She flinched when the alarm on her phone started ringing and she turned it off, glancing at the display. She saw then that she had received another message from him.

For the first time ever you were dating someone younger than yourself. You didn’t plan on getting close to Jeongin, but his persistence payed off, so you gave him a chance. It felt weird at first but you got used to him so quickly that you never once questioned your age gap. Even if he was way younger, he was mature, loving and kind - traits that you rarely found these days. You spent the entire weekend with him. Getting to know him and all his little quirks filled you with joy. Having him in your life felt so natural at this point, you didn’t think twice about asking him for things that mattered.
„You want me to go dogsit with you?“ He was taken aback by your request but complied happily, being an enthusiastic dog lover himself. And now you found yourself in your friend‘s flat, tangled with each other on her new beige couch. Your attention has long left the dog who was sleeping happily in front of the tv. All you could see, all you could comprehend was the beautiful boy right in front of you. Jeongin was an enigma to you - soft and nourishing, yet forceful and bold. The two of you stopped talking a while ago, lips too preoccupied with kissing every centimeter of each other. His porcelain skin was soft, his plush lips were even softer - you lost yourself in him entirely. He hummed in pleasure as he kissed you passionately, not wanting to let go of you. „Fuck, I really love kissing you, y/n.“ You grinned widely. „You’re a great kisser too, baby.“ Jeongin‘s eyes widened in surprise. „Did you just call me baby?“
Fuck, did you? You grew insecure, cheeks reddened instantly. You only started dating - was this too early? Did he even want to be your baby? „Oh, did I? Sorry. Did you… Did you not like it?“ Anxiously you held your breath. You were used to giving it your all from the very beginning, but not everybody was like that. Not everybody liked that. His smile put you at ease though so you relaxed again. „No, I liked it. Very much actually. Can you… can you call me baby more often?“You let out a heartfelt laugh, relieved that you were on the same page. „I can do that. Baby.“ You winked at him before kissing him again. Jeongin kissed you back, hungrily, while roaming your body with his big hands. „Wait, y/n wait. I want to call you something cute, too.“ „Oh?“ He cleared his throat before speaking again. „I know it‘s cliché but I really want to call you jagi.“ Jeongin looked down, cheeks flushed now. „Jagi? Really?“, you laughed out loud. Your hand reached for his chin as you tilted his head to yours. „Okay“, you whispered. His eyes lit up in excitement. „Really?“ You nodded happily. „Can I also call you noona then?“
Flashbacks of your annoying brother calling you that flooded your mind. He used to get on your nerves, always pointing out your age, always mocking you for being older. Were you okay with your beautiful, young lover calling you that? Hell, no. „Please don’t call me noona. Anything but that, Jeongin.“ He laughed out loud, trying to convince you. „Oh come on, it makes sense since you’re older and everything. Please let me call you noona.“ He enjoyed your uneasiness way too much. You shifted your position, untangling yourself from him but failed as his strong arms grabbed you quickly. „Where do you think you’re going, noona?“ His voice overly seductive, his brown eyes glued to yours.„Jeongin, I don’t like you calling me that. I really don’t.“ You grew defensive. You didn’t want him to see you as an old hag. He caught on quickly, feeling sorry for triggering an insecurity of yours. Reflexively, he caressed your arms with his hands, trying to soothe you. „I’m sorry y/n. I won’t call you that anymore. What do you want me to call you instead?“ You took a minute to yourself before answering. With a shy smile on your lips you whispered your reply.
„Yours.“

seven minutes in heaven | the wonder years
hughes!sister x will smith au (samy + will)
the one where samy and will do something that friends would definitely 100% do (never) — taken place at the end of samy’s junior year of hs
1.2k words
i’m having a small writers block trying to write requests so i produced this trying to get out of it and i think it’s actually so hilarious because samy 100% believes friends would do this and it’s the way they never talk about it ever again
au masterlist
APRIL 2022
in reality, the idea was slightly stupid and were they all too old for the game? yes. did drew and ryan insist anyway? yes. samy's friends were all for it, so the group sat themselves in a circle going around playing the simple game of truth or dare.
aram and a few others really wanted to meet samy's friends and samy's friends really wanted to meet her "hot guy friends" (their words), so the brunette decided to host a friday get together on a night the boys didn't have a game nor saturday morning practice—what a blessing, truly. someone threw in the childhood truth or dare game and no one really objected.
“marcie, go. truth or dare,” drew’s lips turned into a smirk while the girl flushed.
“truth.”
“who’d you kiss in this room?” a few hoots came from the group worsening marcie’s flush into a red blush.
her eyes flicked across the group scattered around the living room while everyone waited in slight anticipation for her answer—the boys especially. her lips curved at the corners before finally pausing on gabe.
“perreault,” the girl bravely and confidently answered.
the guys were immediately on gabe’s back where he covered his face probably hiding his blush. samy and her other friends grinned in marcie’s direction knowing how much she’s talked about the dark-haired boy at any chance she got.
“okay, okay. my turn,” the girl’s eyes scanned the group again, her soft smile turning into a smirk.
when her gaze landed on samy the brunette immediately knew she was in for trouble. her friends knew everything, things the guys didn’t even know and they never held mercy when they did these types of things.
“samantha hughes,” marcie pulled out the full government name.
“oh great. dare, i guess,” she knew either was bad coming from marcie, so she picked dare hoping it’d be something stupid for once.
for a second, marcie’s eyes met her other friends’ lingering gazes. the others shared an exchange no one but them understood until marcie’s gaze flicked back to samy looking incredibly mischievous.
“i dare you to play seven minutes in heaven with william smith.”
a beat of silence passed through the group until the guys broke out in more hollers grabbing ahold of will’s shoulders. samy’s face paled as she took in her friend’s words.
“really mar?” the brunette mumbled.
“what? you don’t like him so it shouldn’t be a big deal,” the girl shrugged simply.
samy’s friends were also extreme shippers of the two. they never believed it when either of them said there were no feelings, so they liked to poke fun in an attempt to prove that there were feelings.
knowing they weren’t getting out of this one, will followed samy to bathroom. the girl leaned herself against the wall while will stood across from her against the bathroom sink. once the door shut, the two shared a heartfelt laugh.
“they’re never gonna give it up, i swear,” the brunette shook her head.
“how did it even start?” will shared her sentiments.
“marcie and lila have always been like that. the guys poked fun at us as soon as they met me,” samy giggled thinking back to last august.
“they’re the most annoying people ever,” the boy shook his head.
“tell me about it. i can’t believe there’s another whole year of that.”
the two grinned before settling into another comfortable silence. they could hear their friends snickering from the living room most likely talking about them. listening to them laugh made something almost snap in the girl’s head.
she knew they’d never shut up about it. what if they gave them something to shut up about? the teasing never bothered either of them too hard, but boy, would samy love to quiet them and prove that her and will would always be friends no matter what.
“you know what? let’s just do it. let’s just kiss,” samy suddenly said catching will off guard,
“what?”
“they’re never gonna shut up so what if we just kiss and prove to them that we can do this and have it not even mean a thing. like what if we die tomorrow and we spent our last night being cowards in the bathroom because of our friends?” samy rambled maybe because of nerves or maybe because of something else.
“you wanna kiss me?” will asked just to make sure he was hearing things right. he adam’s apple bombed violently when he swallowed.
“yes?” she said it almost unsurely.
“it won’t mean anything?” the blonde raised his eyebrow.
“no, no. just to shut them up, you know. friends kiss each other all the time anyway,” the youngest hughes rambled again.
will was already licking his lips as his gaze zeroed in on samy’s lips and everything in the next minute happened way too quickly. one or both of them closed the space and their lips were on each other a second later like it was natural. neither of them could imagine this ever happening in all the years they’ve been friends, yet here they were making out in samy’s childhood home that will also grew up in on breaks, long weekends, and summers.
the blonde quickly shifted his hands down to samy’s hips wanting to pull her closer—getting lost in the moment. their breaths mixed together along with saliva and wet-swollen lips. the scene was such a stark contrast to their friendship and something deep within them never wanted the moment to stop.
three knocks on the door quickly broke the two apart like they just got caught. nearly five feet formed between them as the realization of what just occurred started setting in. the only sound was their slight pants trying to regain the breath they lost.
“yeah, they’re definitely gonna shut up,” samy nodded approvingly while straightening herself out.
will didn’t say much still reeling in the fact he just made out with his best friend. the blush on his cheeks and the lip gloss stained across his lips was definitely only going to prove their friends’ points.
they walked back into the living room with every single eye on them trying to figure out if anything happened. gabe knew right away when he saw his friend’s slightly disheveled state.
“oh my god. you guys actually kissed,” he mumbled earning a gasp from almost everyone in the room.
“you’re lying!” marcie exclaimed and shot her gaze towards samy.
“like it meant anything. now you guys can shut up about will and i all the time because we’re just friends,” samy argued her case that definitely didn’t believe anyone.
“you’re telling me you just kissed will and it means nothing to either of you?” ryan asked in disbelief.
“yup,” the girl nodded.
“mhm,” will mumbled quietly.
no one said anything because what was there to say after that? will’s sudden quietness and lingering blush told them all they needed to know that maybe it did mean something to one of them at least.
“my turn now. ryan, truth or dare.”
samy and will didn’t talk about it ever again nor did any of their friends, except the teasing hardly died down and will actually didn’t stop thinking about that kiss for the entire rest of the summer.
