"It's father's day, nobody got hurt, no end of the world to stop, and the kids are in bed before nine. Do I still owe you a father's day gift?" - to bucky

Steve was absolutely right; the entire day had actually gone off without a hitch. They had woken up to their kids having made them a pretty impressive breakfast, they all went out and rented a camper and they were sitting comfortably within a state park after a full day surrounded by nature and family. Fable and Shep had very much enjoyed it as well. With the kids having passed out, or at the very least having decided to give the two of them some time alone.

The fire crackled in front of where they both sat on a log that serves as a natural bench. The flames illuminated his features as he smiled and turned his head to look at Steve with fondness and appreciation.

"Today's been...great," he spoke with a laugh that seemed freer than usual, with just a tint of disbelief in how light his shoulders felt. "I do like gifts though." There was a smirk that tugged at his lips, playful and content all at once. "Whatcha got, Stevie?"

It’s been 4 months since Bucky and I got together and it’s been nothing but full of love and everything good.He really made me feel loved feel special feel beautiful every second.Do I want to get married to him ? Hell yes.. Will I force him to rush it? As Jerika had come into view from where he was seated on the couch, Bucky reached for the remote and muted the TV. He offered his daughter a bright smile in greeting, though his expression fell just slightly when he heard the news. It wasn't that he was disappointed in not getting a gift. It was just that he knew that Jerika had put work and effort into making him something and it was now making its way through Shep's digestive track.

As if on cue, the large dog came trotting into the living room and took his spot at Bucky's feet. He laid down on one of his feet and Bucky felt the heft of his dog leaning against him.

"Looks like he's sorry," he offered his daughter with a bit of a sheepish smile. Standing up as well as he could with his foot being effectively pinned to the floor, he made sure he had his balance. "You still put th' work in, an' I bet it was great." He placed his hands on Jerika's shoulders and gave them a reassuring squeeze before leaning down and kissing her forehead.

"'sides, not t' be sappy, but you an' your brother are th' best gift me or your dad could ask for. Every day. Alright?" He moved to hug her gently. "Love ya, baby girl."
