...wanna know what’s weird to me?

Why those tropes like bed sharing trope that are written for female reader sharing bed with x-Male. Isn’t written for Male reader sharing bed with x-Male.

Like, give me Steve Rogers bunking with cute new Male avenger.

Give me Tony Stark in a cold hotel and being like, “we’ll warm up if we share one bed” to his long term drinking buddy and new crush.

Give me Bucky Barnes getting piss-drunk with Sam Wilson’s older brother and ending up staying in the same bed because a) he asked and b) why the hell not.

Like, my dudes, write those corny/ cheesy tropes for males. They’re overused in the female world, but under used in the male community and OMFG it would be cute af to see the usual fanfic trope (that’s mainly for women) be used for males.

Do you think non-sequential Steve, Bucky, and Y/N would be int0 Polygamy? Hahahahah it would solve a lot of their problems.

People ask me this whenever I show even the slightest signs of a Steve Rogers x Readee x Bucky Barnes fic.

I am not a polygamy and polyamory writer. Nor will I ever be.

I have nothing against polygamy or polyamory in real life. I fully support it. I don’t care what people do in their love and sex lives, as long as it’s consensual and safe.

But as a fanfic writer and with the type of stories I write, people just want an easy way out of a complicated problem. It’s like, “Oh, Bucky and Steve both love her? Well then make it a Stucky x Reader story!” Like, that’s lazy writing. And in life, when people actually do love the same person, how often have you heard of them going, “Fuck it. Let’s just be in a polyamorous relationship”?

There is an area of this fandom where Stucky x Reader are very relevant and celebrated and awesome. But that’s because they’re intended to be that type of story from the beginning.

Polyamory shouldn’t be a band aid we stick on every relationship that has tension and conflict.

(I understand that you most likely sent this ask as a joke, but I get these questions all the time. So just wanted to clear the air.)
