Hi everyone! I’m back and this ‘story’ its extremely different from my others. It much more violent and metions some very sensitive and disturbing topics. So please read the warnings! I am very happy with how this came out but that being said it is still graphic. This totally wasint inspired by the Last Of Us becoming so popular and some other reading choices- yeah no….

○ Kirishima ○

Kirishima first sees you working in the kitchen- or more so the makeshift one that’s used to feed the camp(compound).

You’re just humming, cutting carrots with this smile on your face. One of the little girls from the camp is sitting on the counter across from you. She’s both singing and talking to you- about some game she and the other girls were playing outside.

He’s just staring at you with these stars in his eyes as you hum with her. It for some reason makes the whole room feel cozy. Like the world hadnt just decided to throw a deadly curve ball. And instead, you’re working in a actual home and not a cement room.

He watches you, his eyes taking in the smooth motion of the knife. You’re good with it- like really good with it. You’re looking back at the girl, talk to her before looking back ahead, catching Kirishimas eye.

Kirishima is just standing in the doorway, his red (mostly black now! hair pushed up from his bandana. His gray shirt having small moth holes with the words RIOT chipping off. His dark blue jeans were stained at the knees and bottom leg. His lift arm had bandages from a wire cut.

He’s never met you before- you must be from another camp. Meaning you joined this one recently.

“Hey, Crimson Riot, you okay?”

Kirishima smiles, his chest bubbles and his cheeks get warm. His tanned skin hinted a light orange-pink.“You know those comic books?”

Kiri watches you pause mid-carrot cut, he can see the excitement in your face.

“Hell yeah, that was my childhood!”

“Bad words aren't good!” The little girl huff, breaking Kiri from the trance he just entered. Your so… bubbly.

“Shh let’s not tell Mama, k?” Kiri watches you pick her off the counter and place her on the ground. She pinkie promises you, whispering something about wanting a strawberry. And he watched in utter amusement as you hand her one from the counter. Her giggles echoing in the hall as she runs away with her treasure.

Kirishima and you remain, talking about comic books while he’s helping you cut vegetables and make the stew for tonight.

Slowly he keeps coming in and ends up singing songs with the little girl who always seems to be with you in the kitchen.

He finds out you’re from the compound in the south. It had been overrun by the undead due to the attack that had happened earlier that day. An attack by a gang. You had been by the river doing laundry when it happened. The gunfire and explosions- the undead weren’t the problems so much anymore, it was more so people. The undead second.

Kirishima held you the night you told him that, his arms wrapped tightly around your waist as you push your head into his chest. You both lay in his bed, a late night cleaning dishes brought you here. You’re in between his leg, leaning against his chest as you whisper out your venture here.

Kiri listens intently, his face barrier in your hair. When you go silent, he squeezes you tightly, whispering out comforts. 

○ Katsuki Bakugou ○

Bakugou comes across you in the middle of a supply run with Mina

You’re alone- they can tell- and your huffing air. Your baggy pants hang on your waist and Katsuki can see glimpses of a striped tank top under your zip-up All Might sweatshirt from that old cartoon. Damn, you must be around his age considering the old branding on it.

They both stare at you as you swing your bat down on some poor fool. Pure anger and strength run through your body as you kick the man hard in the chest. Your breath comes out in puffs as you reach down, grabbing the man’s small handgun and disassembling it in an instant.

Bakugou watches in utter amazement from behind some bushes and trees. Mina at his side eyes the both of you. Bakugou remembers the feeling of his mouth going dry “I ant gonna join your shitty cult ya fuckin creep.” You spit at the man. Kat watches, seeing if you’ll go possibly to the final stage of your anger. Are you in control of your rage?

His heart twists as you stare down for a second more. “Now SCRAM. And tell that damn Erny I am not joining.” The man, who’s now sitting up slightly staring at you starts backing away- before full-on sprinting.

“Y’all want something?”

He remembered the look Mina gives him, her fading pink curls bouncing off her dark skin. The sly grin. Fuck.

Bakugous heart flutters a bit when he watches you teach the little kids about proper punching form- self-defense of course.

His cheeks dust prink when you coo at him, dragging your fingers across the back of his shoulder blades as you stroll past him.

God you drive him crazy, but he loves it.

○ Dabi ○

Dabi finds you in an abandoned building. You’re a patchwork of a person if he’s ever seen one. And that coming from him. His face and body were covered in burns from a fire that happened during the chaos of the outbreak. But you- you’re wrapped in bandages, bandaids, and a Cotton pads. You’re eyes are sunk in and you're pale. You’re bruised, and Dabi can see it peeking from your stained shirt collar.

Dabi watched you pathetically lift a handgun, your shaped lips parting to speak out

“I’m not fucking going back”

“No one’s gonna make your doll.” Dabi raises his hand when he hears togas feathery footsteps pad up to the room. A silent signal to say ‘stop’

“I don’t wanna go back.” you’re sniffling and Dabi feels a bit awkward watching it, believing your about to cry till he watches drips of blood fall from your nose.

He lowers himself to the ground and just slowly stalks towards you before he’s wrapping his tattered coat around your shaking form and picking you up.

You’re… different. For someone scared shittless when he found you, you’re incredibly snarky. You throw comebacks like candy and roll your eyes with annoyance at a certain comment.

He watched in utter amazement as you told Shigarki to shut up and later danced in the middle of the kitchen with Toga and Twice. It’s like you’re a different person.

Dabi doesn’t mind the days you switch tho. When you plop yourself next to him on the worn-out couch, shoving yourself into his side shaking slightly

He’ll sigh as tho he’s annoyed but open his coat for you. You'll shuffle closer, laid against him, his coat and arm around you. Those are the days you don’t do much.

You came from a Fight Ring. One where humans went against the undead for entertainment. Or even human against human.

Toga told him you fight like what she imagined a Viking would. Ruthless. He’s unsure if believed Toga when she says you’ve ripped the head off the rotten remains of a walker (a zombie) - expertly avoiding being bit.

That being said. You have bites on your arms. “They’re not infected.” That is all you say and Dabi just nods. He understands all to well. He’s seen those rings.

You where shaking when you told him, rage or fear he didn’t know. But you found your wrapped in Dabi coat, huddled into his side. His low hum the only indicator he’s listening as his palm fins your back.

○ Sero ○

Sero knew you before it all went to hell. You were both neighbors, grew up together as children and hung out when you were teens. You slept over a lot too. It started when you were middle schoolers, watching cartoons. High school had you smoking- that was hard to hide when his parents got home . And college had you both staying up late and studying. And now, you two sometimes sit together a little to be considered friends and talk in hushed tones. As if speaking to loud would break the fragile barrier you had.

Sero rememberers how you yelled for him, causing him to stubble down the stairs of his home and to the door to find you. Your in a pajama shirt and blue jeans. The remains of your other neighbor now is on your face. Blood splattered on your cheeks and chest from the heavy blast. A shotgun resting in your shaky hands. You look both scared and calm, but your breathing is sharp.

Sero currently watches you talk to Denki. Something about a new compound that may need scouting. You've grown so much in just a year or two. In ways, Sero sometimes can't comprehend.

“Mi Amor(my love)” Sero called and you turned. His smiles widens at your own bright one. Denki sees him too, waving his eyebrows before saying goodbye to you and walking off.

You and Sero are dating, and have been since 3ish months after it all started. During one of the scariest movements in your life, you had let out your confession. You, Bakugou, Sero, Denki, and Kiri had been patrolling for food but had come across some twisted people. Something happened, and in the end you’re group had been split up. It was you, Denki, and Sero trapped in a building. Denki had been knocked out, by a rifle butt. You stood at a window, rocking a rather deep slash on your arm. Between you and Sero, there was no real firepower.

“If we make it out of this, we’re going on a date.”

“What?”

“I think I still have some instant ramen in my pack.”

“I wonder if that old ramen shop will still have your favorite kind.”

“You mean the one we got kicked out of?”

“Yeah, that one.” Sero hummed looking towards you. “You wanna go there? I wonder if they still have those seasoning packets.” Sero, Smirked. Remembering the time you snorted the power of one by accident.

“Yeah.” You smiled at him warmly.

“Well, now we gotta get out of here.”

Sero and you danced in the middle of your kitchen. There wasn’t any music, just Sero humming to a song that wouldn’t ever end.

BnHA Chapter 303: And What, Pray Tell, Is a “One For All”

Previously on BnHA: The Todorokis (really just Enji) looked at their children and went “how can we screw up all four of them in uniquely different ways” and proceeded to do just that. Touya was all “just because practicing how to set myself on fire better hasn’t worked to win my dad’s affections YET doesn’t mean it will NEVER work”, because child logic. Turns out setting oneself on fire real hard isn’t so effective at winning affections, but is actually incredibly effective when it comes to burning oneself to death, so there’s that. Back in the present day, the Todorokis basked in their various misplaced (again, except for Enji) feelings of guilt, and were all “anyway but get over yourself already Enji, you still have to do something to stop this kid”, and Shouto was all “I’ll help too”, and Enji was all “(╥_╥)”, and Hawks and Jeanist were all “[surreptitiously listening in from outside the door]”, and that’s basically where we left off.

Today on BnHA: Hawks and Jeanist are all “mind if we join you on this family journey?” and proceed to stroll in uninvited with their puns and their perceptive insights. Hawks is all “so to sum everything up, we’re fucked, but at least you have us here to help you out! by the way, no clue why I’m the first person to ask this in three hundred chapters, but wtf is One For All.” We then cut to Deku, who’s still all “[(－－)]z”, and All Might, who is all “I’m just going to ignore the extremely loud racket going on right outside this room.” Which, btw, is happening on account of Bakugou, who is all “(╬◣Д◢)” as Satou, Tsuyu, and Mineta cart him away. Anyway so that’s a lot of antics, and also it looks like Hawks has gotten tired of the Todorokis refusing to put the pieces together on their own about OFA and so he is fast-tracking that shit. And meanwhile Deku is chatting it up with the Vestiges exactly like we all thought. And now we have to wait another whole week for updates on all of this. This really is not fair.

I am absolutely fucking floored. Hawks literally said that so casually that it’s impossible for me to rewrite it so as to be even more casual. that’s literally what I would write in the “today on bnha” section. in fact I probably will write that

Hawks, if this man tries to get you alone with him and some hairspray and a comb, please for the love of god do not listen to him. get out of there and call the authorities

okay confession, I wasn’t really sold on the whole “Shouto has a schoolboy crush on Hawks” thing until exactly now, when I became 100% sold on it. that is adorable

and heck with it, gotta show Enji and Rei’s reactions here as well because lol

“omg my son who’s not my son, and he just overheard everything about me being a terrible shitty father and person overall, oh and plus my actual-son set him on fire and called him out on a national broadcast. so Hawks is all “I got released from the hospital after one day for some reason so I made Jeanist drive me around places while we talked about life” but uh, heyyyyy, what’s Rei doing

and meanwhile that look on Hawks’s face while he casually-but-not-really-casually-at-all asks this question. that phone app better be using his actual voice. I’m not sure I could take this scene in the anime at this point if it was like Alexa talking or something

that look in his eyes is basically saying that so far, based on the information he has absorbed up until this point, Hawks is prepared to view his former childhood obsession as a flawed but changed man. however I get the distinct feeling that depending on Endeavor’s answer now, he would be willing to drastically shift some of his opinions on him

(ETA: this is maybe my favorite panel in the entire chapter. the fact that his question isn’t addressed to anyone in particular, but his eyes are zeroing on on Endeavor. and the way his leaning-on-Shouto pose manages to be simultaneously nonchalant and yet ever-so-slightly protective. there’s so much going on in this one question and gesture and I’m mildly obsessed with it.)

however, Rei is all “that was me” and ONCE AGAIN WITH THE FACES IN THIS CHAPTER holy shit

Hawks definitely did not see that one coming sob. it’s so fun watching him frantically recalculate his ideas about this family every two seconds

I’m choosing to take this as an “it takes a lot of strength to be able to forgive, and people who choose to do that even though they’re not obligated to are really amazing" type of thing, as opposed to “people who don’t forgive other people who severely wronged them are bad.” and if I’m wrong and Hawks’s line here is meant to be seen as actual failing on his part, well then fuck that, but we’ll move on

I am so, so curious as to what kind of strategy Hawks has for this (if he even has any), so I’ll just be quiet now and read

so Hawks is summing up basically what we already knew -- that Tomura and his inner circle (curious that there’s no mention of AFO, because if Hawks doesn’t know about him, that implies almost no one does) are still on the lam with a few PLF stragglers and some High Ends; that a bunch of prisons have been “liberated” (I assume this means all of the inmates escaped, so if that’s the case then where’s Kurogiri??); that the HPSC is fucked; and that heroes are resigning all over the place, and so civilians are taking matters into their own hands

Humanity was truly something. Not so long ago, they were living in tents and huts. Not so long ago, gun powder was a new and terrifying force. Not so long ago, Takeuchi had spent nights tinkering away at a pair of mechanical wings, thinking them the freest a man could be. To fly on his own, outside of the metal shell of an airship, to touch the sky directly, to feel air ruffling through your hair.

And now, stars were at his fingertips.

After a certain amount of years, time tended to blend together for vampires. Suwa had told him that once, years and years and years ago. It was hard to discern one period from another, hard to pick apart the fashions and politics and the words and the speech patterns. Hard to keep up with technology that shifted as fast as one blinked. Takeuchi thought he could never get quite so lost in time. He was its diligent student after all, he thrived on problems and innovations and novelties. Every time something new came to be he was there, quick as the night would allow him.

And he saw wonders and he saw nightmares.

Probes and satellites. Man walking on the moon. Rocket ships and space tourism. Moon settlements and endless possibilities that reflected themselves in the wide expanse of the universe. A star dying, a star being born, every time Takeuchi so much as blinked.

It left his breath shattered in his lungs and his mind swimming with possibilities.

This was what science was. This was what being a vampire was. Infinite time for infinite wonder. Years and years ago Takeuchi wouldn’t have even dreamed about standing here, on the moon’s surface, watching the horizon gently glide across the Earth. Now he wondered, what would come next? Other planets and then other galaxies and then systems completely unseen and unknown.

He couldn’t guess at it if he tried but the idea of the unfamiliar left him giddy beyond measure.

Earth rolled underneath him, quiet and distant. From this far up one could no longer see the wars or the weapons, the fires that razed or hatred that bubbled. All one could see was green and blue, mountains and rivers and glimmering cities.

Takeuchi hadn’t been a solider for a very long time. Years in which he was put to work on devices of destruction had long since passed, hours in which he would tinker and craft and fiddle with cogs and wires and steam that turned to electricity. He had hoped back then that the things he made would bring something good to the world, that one day it wouldn’t be just the ashes of death they sewed behind.

He had his heart torn by the contrary thousands of times but from this high up it all seemed clear, it all seemed right.

Now his inventions powered ships and homes, kept people alive far beyond places he ever though people could be alive in.

The future was as bright as the stars in the sky. All Takeuchi had to do now was reach out.

Not Alone: Chapter Three

“Where did you learn to stitch someone?”

Y/n looked back over at her guest and frowned, “My dad was a survivalist. He made me go to survivor camp every summer and took me hunting all the time. When it all started he plannned for us to come here. The book shelves are lined with his survival stuff.

Mina frowned, “Did he come with you or did you come alone?”

In that instant it flashed in Y/n’s eyes. The memory of her father pinned by a truck. His hand reached out for her. She could see them coming as she felt his fingers pushed them away. Her feet listened to him and started to run. They move against her wishes.

She shook the memories off and looked at Mina, “Where are your parents?”

Her eyes went blank like Y/n’s, “My mom died of sickness in the beginning. She went to work and never came home, and dad...well, he’s gone too.” Her voice started to quiver a bit and trailed off. Y/n didn’t press any farther.

“They’re all gone Mina. All that’s left is us and them.” Y/n almost twitched when she said the words ‘us and them’. She included Mina in her ‘us’.

“Mina?” A sleepy voice came from the living room. She quickly got up and out of bed to go check on Kirishima.

“He’s burning up.”

Y/n nodded and walked into the room and stretched, “Good. His body’s fighting the infection. The tree bark from the branch wass really flakey. I tried to flush the wound as best as I could but some bark might still be in there.”

Y/n felt a small spark on the back of her hand when she rested it against the balmy skin of his forehead. He took her hand in his. It was a moment of intimacy that Y/n’s never experienced before. She didn’t pull away but she didn’t know how to react as he squeezes her hand.

“Hard to thank you when I don’t know your name.”

Y/n felt her hand trapped in and looked over the back of the couch and gave him a small smile, “My name’s Y/n.” She felt expressions play across her face and quickly pulled away from his sweaty palm. She walked to the leftover boiled water and poured him a huge glass of it and then passed it to him. “You’ll need this.”

His red eyes sparkled and suddenly Y/n’s stomach ache was back.

“Thanks. Thanks for everything. I know you could’ve left me in that hole.” Y/n broke his stare and looked at the hardwood floor.

“It was nothing.”

Mina looked over at them and grinned, “How old are you Y/n?”

“Nineteen.”

Mina smiled, “I’m eighteen.”

Y/n felt sad when Mina told her that. She realized that Mina was eight when her mother never came home from work.

“Kirishima is twenty.” The room went quiet, Y/n didn’t know how to add to the conversation. She didn’t have conservations. Hades sensed her awkwardness and padded towards her, nuzzlin his face into her palms. “Where’d you get him?” Y/n scratched his face and smiled at how Mina had already won Hades over.

“He was at the doorstep one day. I heard his mother dying in the woods near the house. She got the infection and died just after giving birth. Her cubs started to eat her and got the sickness too. Hades was the only smart one. He never ate her. He found me instead.” Y/n grimaced and tried not to think about having to shoot the baby wolves.

Mina beamed at the large wolf, “He’s huge.”

“Very, but he’s good company and helps out around the house.” Mina laughed at that. She was bubbly, Y/n remembered her grandma calling kids bubbly and wondered how bubbly Mina would be if she had a normal childhood. Y/n looked back at Kirshima who was falling asleep again. “He falls asleep fast. We need to make him some soup.” She walked to the door and looked back at Mina. “Can I trust you?”

Mina shook her head, “No, I like it here and I’ll do whatever you want to let me stay but if it comes down to it I would sell you out to save Kiri.”

“Fair enough,” Y/n liked her candor and pointed to the books on the shelf, “Start with the top shelf. They’re the easiest reads.” Mina nodded and grabbed a book. Y/n knew Mina was a survivor.

The wooden paneling of the outdated cottage was comfortable and bright with the light filtering in through the huge windows. She hasn’t seen her cabin for what it truly was until that moment. Having seen Mina and Kirishima in her house made her realize how lucky she was. She had a fleeting thought and wondered when was the last time they rested on comfortable furniture.

Hades’s yellow eyes met Y/n’s eyes, he spoke to her only with his look. He wanted to stay with them. He didn’t completely trust the new guests either, Y/n could see it in his eyes. She nodded at him and walked out of the cabin.

She needed grouse or pheasant or wild turkey. There weren't a ton of them in the area but Y/n knew a spot. The cabin sat surrounded by huge fir trees and brush, green was everywhere. It made her nervous in the beginning. It was so big compared to her and she felt like there were eyes on her from a thousand vantage points. She could see the infected stepping over the brush, arms reaching for her. Blood running from their eyes and seeping sores covering their skin. Their tattered clothes and the smell would overwhelm her as they pulled her to the ground.

She could see the other. She could hear herself scream as their greedy fingers bit into her skin and dragged her into the woods. The woods where she would scream like the other girls. The tearing of the clothes had haunted her from the beginning. The infected tore flesh and the others tore clothes and the sound could swallow you up.

But now she saw the greenery and listened to the sounds of the forest and knew that she was safe. The forest was her friend. The relationship was tense in the beginning, but it earned her trust over time. Just like Hades, it had become a part of her family. Where she lost one family, she gained another.

The branches broke under her feet but in a way that kept the birds chirping and squirrels nattering. It was a gift that she had learned from Hades. He was able to wander the forest quickly, but in sync with the woodland creatures.

She stopped at the small dip in the forest, she had a great view from there. She blended into the trees and listened as she closed her eyes and waited. She grabbed her bow and arrow and got ready and waited for the sound she was seeking. It was a pheasant.

She watched the bizarre looking face of it and it’s spectacular colors. She could tell it was male. She took a deep breath and on the exhale released the arrow perfectly. It took her two years of constant shooting to be able to down an animal at that distance. The pheasant dropped without a sound as the arrow pierced through his throat just below it’s throat. She waited an extra second before putting the bow and arrow back in a small hole and going to retrieve the bird.

While she retrieved her catch she constantly looked over her shoulder. Kirishima and his friend had been watching her for two months before she became aware of them. Her sense of security in the forest was questioned. Heat flushed her cheeks as she walked back carrying the bird by his feet. She caught herself thinking about Kirishima; his red hair and red eyes and long eyelashes.

A stabbing pain ripped through her thigh.

She looked up to see the reflection of a scope from across the small gully. She quickly dropped to the ground and layed among the brush. Her heart was beating out of control.

Mina.

Y/n was sure that she had shot her. She wants her cabin, she had made that perfectly clear. Y/n’s heart hurt for the smallest of seconds before she hardedned and came to terms with the fact that she would have to kill Mina. Flashes of her pink hair and how much she cared for her friend crossed Y/n’s mind.

Shots whizzed passed Y/n in the brush. Y/n wondered if Kirishima had known that Mina was trying to kill her. Y/n held her breath and waited. She knew Hades would come for her. Then she heard footsteps. The forest was silent as the predator moved through it. She felt a sickening hurt after she realized that she had been betrayed. She regretted helping Kirishima out of that hole. She should’ve never opened the door. She should’ve cracked open the whiskey and listened from inside her cabin and waited for Mina to die or leave.

She knew she would regret it.

Y/n looked around. There was too much brush surrounding her. Any movement she made would give away her location. She could hear the footsteps drawing closer. They were heavy in their step, breaking branches roughly. Y/n was certain that it was Mina. She was certain that she would be shot in the back of the head any minute.

The whizzing noise started again as bullets hit the tree behind her. Y/n wondered what Mina was doing and why she hadn’t just shot her already. Thinking that Mina had lost the spot where she shot her, she thanked the bush for being so thick around her. There was a heavy thump and some rustling near me and Y/n started to panic silently. She had no idea what was going on.

“Y/n,” a whisper filled the forest and Y/n looked around without rustling the bushes. “Y/n?” Suddenly she felt Hades' breath on her. She looked up to see Mina squatted beside her. As soon as Y/n saw the rifle in her hand she was filled with rage. But she knew that the bullet in her thigh wouldn’t allow her to jump up and fight Mina for the gun. She looked at Hades who was on edge. He was hunting as if Mina was his partner and that hurt Y/n more than anything. “Y/n I killed him but there might be others.”

“What?” The words left Y/n’s mouth before she could register her volume.

Mina put a finger to her lips, “He probably isn’t alone.”

Y/n looked at her gun in Mina’s hands, “You never shot me?”

Mina pointed to the bush beside Y/n, “He shot you. Why would I shoot you? What? Where are you shot?”

Y/n tried to ignore the pain as she got up on her knees, almost crying out when she made it onto her feet in a hunched position. She saw the boots of the man on the ground.

“Those are military issue,” Y/n spoke softly, scanning the forest.

“Great.”

Y/n limped over to him and bent over. Her leg was pouring blood now. She took off her outer shirt and tied it around her thigh tightly and then fished the guy’s pockets. The warmth of her blood was already seeping down her leg. The guy was older, forty maybe. He had brown hair and looked like he had been eating well. She took his gun and knife that she found in his boot and tossed some beef jerky the man had at Hades.

“We could’ve eaten that.”

Y/n looked at Mina and shook her head, “Never eat anything you take off another human. Could have the infection or be rotten.”

Mina pointed at Hades, “He could get the infection.”

“He’s immune.”

“No one is immune.”

Y/n smiled sarcastically, “I have downed sick things before and he’s eaten them. He never gets sick.”

Mina made a face as she untied the dead man’s boots, “Oh god, so he ate his mother and lived?”

Y/n nodded, “Yeah probably. I try not to think about it.”

“You said he never ate her.”

Y/n shrugged as she scanned the forest and spoke quietly, “I want to gross you out ir scare you while I was fixing your friend’s wounded leg. We just met. I was trying to be polite- get the bird.”

She took the boots and the bird and walked over to Y/n, “Need a hand?”

Y/n leaned on her and Hades came up on her other side. He was less scared now.

“He got all crazy and started scratching at the door. He tried to open the door himself. I knew something was wrong. He led me right to you.”

Y/n brushed a hand through his dense fur. It wasn’t the first time he’d saved her life and she knew it wouldn’t be the last.

As they walked back to the cabin Y/n felt sick and afraid. There was no doubt that the army guy was not alone.

Her small cabin was under attack and the shirt around her leg was soaked red. She felt weak. She was afraid that the bullet was still in her thigh and thought about the fact that Mina was now the only able bodied person. Her safety and comfort was gone and in her mind she could hear the tearing and screaming again. As she walked through the door, Mina helped her to the other chair. She sat on the edge and tried to not get blood everywhere.

Hades looked worried, his eyes were concerned and full of expression. He nudged her and Y/n scratched his face and kissed the top of his head.

“I can’t believe you thought I shot you. That’s really what you think I’d do after you helped Kirishima?”

Y/n wobbled slightly from the blood loss and tried to muster a smile, “No, but I was scared. I’m glad it wasn’t you.” She felt the chair against the back of her head and the ceiling started to spin. She felt like she might throw up but then everything goes black.

AKA: Izuku, stubbornly follows Stain around until the guy warms up to him, all while he slowly poisons his gen ed class against the concept of heroes. Iida is stuck in the middle of all of this and finding himself begrudgingly agreeing with the kid who seems too sweet to be a villain.

Ok less apprentice, more like "kid he cant get rid of"

izuku has afo and is sensei's kid and its kinda been his mission to get stain onside, but he just kinda started staning stain

so he said "love u dad but can i just like, follow this guy" and his dad said "you know what, its good to broaden your villainous horizons" So he makes a deal w stain: the heroes don't have to die, but izuku will take their quirks from them

in this AU izuku can "borrow" a quirk pretty quickly but needs a solid minute of contact to fully take it

izuku goes to ua, hes a gen. ed. student! he's there to get connections/blackmail but he only shows up around 3 days a week because of "family matters" but he’s holding great grades so they haven’t pushed too hard about his attendance. the only quirk izuku is listed as having is minor telekinesis, its all he uses in school but he gets pretty far in the sports festival, all the way to the tournament but has to forfeit his match because he needs to do something

(it was against bakugo. he honestly could have fought it but bakugo would be way angrier not being allowed to fight him so he left a little early)

so bakugo has always been kinda,,, scared of izuku. he lives w his dad, his mum lives in europe or something, bakugo isn't sure (afo told her it'd be safer for her to leave the country because all might vs him would be dangerous. She agreed but asked that he A, look after izuku and B, she be allowed to give her quirk to him as a gift to keep him safe. its izukus favorite quirk) and izuku has always let off a creepy aura. he had a "weak" quirk but did a lot of unexplained things, was too smart etc and his dad was creepy as all hell

bakugo would never admit it, but he was kinda glad he didnt have to fight izuku

Iida doesn’t get the call from his mum until later so he gets his medal and everything.

turns out? tensei was stopped by the hero killers, they don't "kill" people but they do kill heroes, tensei fought, lost and lost his quirk

so everything happens as in canon up till hosu (mirio has ofa) so izuku knows iida a little, was on his team with todoroki (replaced kami, his quirk was great for grabbing headbands). He actually picked iida's team because he wanted to know more about him before they took on ingenium

he wasnt 100% onboard with the removal of ingenium because he wasn't all that bad but he wasn't perfect for stains ideology because he was pretty profit-focused, had no other heroes on team but loads of sidekicks who make lower rates than heroes and give his agency a funding boost and was from a Hero Family so it wasn't super likely he wanted to be a hero just to save people

but he was a nice guy and put his life on the line for people so izuku thought he was pretty ok but stain was sticking to his guns and izuku didn't want the guy dead,,, so he said sure. so, izuku kinda,,, knows iida is going to come after stain. he saw all the people who put in internship forms, he saw where iida put down and put 2 and 2 together. but, thing is? he really likes iida! every time he's met iida the guy has been super nice to him, if a little uptight. during the cavalry battle he even took a hit for izuku he didn’t need to and izuku liked that so he’s trying to steer stain away from where he knows iida is probably going to end up because fuck endeavour and he's in Hosu

(plus izuku wants that sweet sweet fire quirk because he's not allowed to take dabi's)

also: relevant but only just, izuku has a really cutesy villain costume and isn't linked to the hero killer (like, think bunny poncho)

so izuku is wandering around, trying to work out how to lure endeavour into a dark alley and not having much luck because the nomu are L o u d and he ends up getting pushed to the ground and trampled in a person stampede

which he's a little salty about! but, iida, a knight in shining armour, stops his search for the hero killer to help izuku up and ask if hes ok and izuku blushes despite himself because even tho hes trying to steal the number 2 heroes quirk hes a big fan of heroes and iida? pushing all the heroic buttons

so yada yada, stain ends up taking native because endeavour wasnt leaving the crowds and izuku goes over to take the quirk for him and iida shows up

He steps between izuku and stain (assuming stain ment to hurt izuku) and says hes going to get revenge for his brother

and stain just fucking,,, sighs because he can see izuku's blush from here and the kid is all starry eyed over baby ingenium but like, the kid is vengeance-y and that’s not great for a hero, so he thinks the least he can do is rough him up a bit to teach him what a hero should be doing, because he’s trying to make a point more than anything he doesn’t use his quirk yet and tries to explain his point to iida

izuku is sitting off to the side with native and just watching this go down (he,,, may also be stealing native's quirk,, because fuck that guy but thats not the point)

anyway, iida is losing, and pretty badly too because the kid is angry and alone. izuku has finished taking native's quirk, who still hasn’t realized because hes stupid so he hauls iida over his shoulder from where hes a little concussed on the ground and runs off with him, leaving stain to sigh because what has his life come to

izuku talks to iida about stains ideas while patching him up, admitting that he thinks iida's brother was actually a pretty good hero and that stains a little strict. iida cant help but understand stains way of thinking, even though hes mad at himself about it. he tries to ask izuku what he was doing but he just gets shushed

izuku kinda dumps iida on todoroki and runs

(todoroki swears there was something familiar about the rabbit costumed kid)

so, izuku like comes up to iida during school, says he heard ab. stain and that it was really impressive that he did all that yadda yadda, and then leaves, 20 minutes later todoroki sees iida trying to flex his arms and grimacing. iida admits his arms are a little sore but its nbd

during hero training iida collapses a little and ochako runs over, hes trying not to scream because his arms hurt so bad.

he heads to recovery girl and hes? ok? but now also got engines where his brother did? and todoroki and ochako are so lost. todoroki turns to iida and says "i know this is off topic, but didnt your involvement with stain get suppressed from the media?" and iida freezes

iida trying to find this gen ed student but he doesnt really remember izukus name. hes just "green boy w minor telekinesis who knew too much"

i want izuku ducking behind his bestie shinso to hide from the big bad hero student. shinso is ready to throw down for izuku honestly. izuku confided in shinso ab. his villainous quirk and shinso is honestly shaping up to be his righthand man. together they'll show the world what heroes should really be, by tearing the system to shreds

iida is trying to find "green boy". short skinny green boy who hides behind his tall angry friend and is only on campus like, half the week. 

needless to say iida is having some trouble

so iida, honestly losing faith in heroics (in this au, todoroki told iida about the quirk marriage) goes looking for stain

iida: “where is izuku”

everyone in gen ed: 💪🏽👁👄👁👊🏽

iida, now in tears: “what are you  say i ng”

basically in this au izuku has managed to poison the gen ed. kids against heroics. some of them cant stand their teachers anymore, none of them want to transfer, they fake gag when they see the heroics students and some of them have even dropped out but no one suspects izuku because the kid loves heroes!!!

but hes like,, stupidly in love with aizawa and izuku kinda loves eraserhead so izuku makes his dad promise to not hurt 1a/aizawa so in this au? aizawa doesn't get smashed by the nomu. aizawa was trapped by stains quirk so the guy has tr a u m a but he's not in pain. afo is honestly trying to kill allmight but izuku likes all might so they fight about it but like, a soft fight? and it's disturbing even shigiraki because you should not be lightly bickering over the life of a man

so stain calls kurogiri and throws iida into the bar and izuku jumps like, 6 feet in the air like a cat and is clinging to the roof but he calms the fuck down and iida is so shook that the only thing he can think to say is ",,, we are too young to be in a bar"

and izuku busts a gut and hes like, crying laughing "you're right we are way too young, why don't we go to another room?" dabi wolf whistles, then has to dodge izuku's now flying milkshake iida n izuku just chat! n iida is a little creeped? because izuku is charismatic and charming and iida agrees with him 100% but he shouldn’t be? he should be nervous or angry or at least a little confused but hes just so charming and bubbly its a little odd. honestly, all the stuff izuku pointed out? iida starts to see how bakugo can get away with acting like an ass but shinso can’t even look at someone wrong without getting set upon

iida is making massive leaps in his training because his quirk has doubled in strength! but, it feels like hes stolen something from his brother

but thats not possible, right? you cant give and take quirks.

iida starts wondering what midoriya's quirk really is, exactly. he never named it. just said "i can use telekinesis on light stuff" but, he hung around villains and seemed to be respected by them, without any visible training, weapons or strength

and shinso, when prompted, said he empathised with midoriya, which iida thought was an odd word choice?

anyway, iida doesnt feel great during hero training. all might's villain costume feels almost offensive? and the profiling aizawa has them do feels wrong, like making assumptions based off the quirk, not the person. it just feels gross and wrong and he's starting to feel really conflicted. because stain hurt people. izuku hurt people.

but he agrees with them

Cocoa is chocolate, Sussy is Cola. What would slime!Tiashar be after absorbing the two gals and their powers? (I would actually see that as a written scenario.)

I might consider doing something with that as its own scenario! That would be fun!

But in terms of established abilities, it should be noted that they’re not literally made of chocolate and soda; their appearances are based on those foods, and they probably taste similar, but they’re not composed of the literal substances in question. But if you take the food basis as inspiration for their powers...

Sussy is easy. She can carbonate herself, bubbling up until she causes an internal explosion, useful for bursts of destructive strength (for punches, kicks and other direct attacks), catapaulting herself about, and other things that explosion powers can do. (If you’ve seen Bakugou do it in BNHA, she can probably do it.) Tia would definitely inherit this power, and also gain great control over her elastic form. She would be able to go liquid, make herself gummy, or stretch her body so much that she would qualify as a rubber girl with stretchy powers.

Cocoa is harder; I’ve gone a bit back and forth on what she might be able to do (chemically generating foods or ammo based on raw materials she ingests, assimilating guns) but for the purpose of this, lets focus on her chocolate theme. I suggest she has the ability to solidify herself into something like a hard candy shell, or chocolate chunks. This could be used for armor plating, selecting hardenign for defense and strong attacks, or with a little creativity with the hardened body substances, crafting solid objects out of your body. making swords, hammers and other things directly from her biomass by shaping it!

Of note, though, Cocoa hasn’t actually done anything like this. In-universe, this might suggest that she simply hasn’t gained the experience to do so, as it has been noted that she is very liquid and has a hard time making herself solid enough to use elasticity powers, let alone making herself harder than steel. So perhaps she will, but hasn’t got the experience yet!

Additionally, due to Tia’s native abilities and abundant amounts of biomass, she is able to genuinely shapeshift in goo form; making her arm swell up bigger for powerful attacks, creating additional limbs, merging legs and tail into a naga tail to ensnare enemies, and so on!

(If Tia consuming others is treated as a fusion, then Tia will be a LOT bigger than before; Cocoa is very big and Sussy CAN be just as big, so let’s assume an average of 9 feet at least for both. This pushes Tia’s height from 16 feet to nearly 30 feet tall! And given that the goo sisters are made of... well, goo, they probably have a lot more mass than general height alone, making Tia even larger. Note that Tia gets smaller as she makes herself less solid; in a nearly liquid shape, she can get incredibly massive, but will effectively be a tidal wave that absorbs others. She will have to compress her body to fight in a way that she has more skill with.)

BNHA Crack Theories/Headcanons: “The Four Bullets” - Victim #1

Based on Season Four of My Hero Academia, we know that Shigaraki has been left with four quirk-destroying bullets. So the question is: Who will have those four bullets used on them?

I have my four picks! And considering I’m waiting to see spoilers for this week’s chapter, I’ll say my pick that is least-related to the current plot: 

Toru Hagakure

So, why the invisible girl? There’s a few reasons why I think this would be a smart choice on Horikoshi’s part, how I think it would happen, and what the benefits would be.

So, first, the HOW:

My crack theory is that a member of the League of Villains is aiming the Quirk-destroying bullet at a hero -- this could be Izuku, Bakugou, Todoroki, etc. Some member of Class 1A or a hero that is a threat to the LoV. 

So, as the gun is fired, we the audience are in complete tension, believing one of our beloved classmates is about to permanently lose their quirk --

-- only for a naked woman to suddenly pop into existence.

Toru jumps in to try and save them, and gets shot instead. I could really imagine Horikoshi drawing the visuals of the bullet’s red-vein effect (much like we saw with Mirio) spread throughout a body, and then Toru’s actual appearance slowly fade into view. 

Of course, the conflict would end with the villain escaping or getting away from the scene with the gun and quirk-destroying bullets (to keep from being having them taken by the heroes), leaving everyone with a now confused Toru Hagakure, wondering why everyone’s looking at her oddly. 

Then, the WHY: 

Why would this be a good idea? Of Class 1A, the only classmates we’ve really had NO backstory or character development for are Toru, Ojiro, and Sato. With Sato, we understand a little about him with his quirk, but Ojiro and Toru are pretty much the only two left in the class we have ZERO backstory on.

Having Toru lose her quirk would give her an existential crisis, and maybe allow us to look back on when she first developed her quirk (is it a family quirk? Are they all invisible? Is it a mutated quirk? Two quirks mixed?!). Toru’s quirk, much like Ojiro is essentially “tied” to her entire identity -- her invisibility is her calling card and her main defining trait. Having that suddenly taken away would MESS with someone -- even someone as bubbly and fun-natured as Toru seems to be.

Third, Horikoshi doesn’t do much “romance” in My Hero Academia, but it’s clear from the manga and bits and pieces of the anime that Ojiro and Toru have at least a connection and friendship -- if you view them as a potential couple or platonic friends, it would be neat to see Ojiro maybe comforting Toru and letting her know that just because she doesn’t have her quirk, it doesn’t change her at a core level who she is, and that she’ll still have friends who support her no matter what. It would be adorable, and still stay true to the main themes of MHA.

Finally, WHAT it could mean: 

Toru losing her quirk could open up some interesting conversations between her and other freshly-quirkless characters. Mirio, obviously, could show her how training her body to be in top condition will help her be heroic even without a quirk. And likewise, she could maybe speak with Ragdoll, who could show her how she could remain a “team player” even with a quirk suddenly taken away.

Plus, side note, Ragdoll and Toru to me seem like they would have completely compatible personalities, so that could lend to some fun moments! 

And if we’re playing for comedy, I can’t imagine Toru having to get used to being “seen” all the time -- no more running around in just boots and gloves!

Last, and I have to say it -- if the fandom is looking for a way for Shinsou to get into Class 1A...here it is. Toru can still be at UA, just temporarily out of the hero course, like Mirio, and be allowed to stay in the dorms and hang out -- but it would open a spot for Shinsou to step in. Not an ideal situation, but it could be a way to make it work.

Do I think Toru will really be one of the victims to the “Quirk Destroying Bullets?” No, not really -- but this is the most “Crack” of the theoretical victims I have, so I wanted to start with her. 

Next up, a more....serious candidate.

THA updates/character sheets

omg two posts in a day what is this shit

i just feel like i should give a heads up about THA and whats going on and shit. i wont be posting anything for it on A03 for a hooooot minute. like i said in the last post, i’ve been really dry when it comes to THA content. sorry if that bums you out or whatever, but i really need to take it easy with that book for a bit. 

h o w e v e r

my brain just will not let me friggin rest. so, i decided to just do something that’s not really creative but also lets me feel some kind of relief. im gonna make character templates in the style of the BNHA fandom website (with a few exceptions/different thing). I wont make one for every single person, but ill make them for most of class 1-A and some villains. 

there may also be a few introduced characters, so ig you'll get to meet them first!

the first one is my fave sparky queen, Emiko Kaminari!

(fair warning. its suuuuper long.)

BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION:

OVERVIEW

Emiko Kaminari is a Class 1-A student at UA High School.

Appearance: 

Emiko has bright yellow hair cut in a short bob (a bit like if you smoothed out Denki’s hair). She has distinct bangs that have two long side pieces and several short pieces across her forehead, Her eyes are yellow and flatter on top and rounder at the bottom with distinctly long and straight lashes. She has a tiny birthmark (just larger than a freckle) under her left eye. She inherited her mother’s ear shape, but she can’t use them like her mom can (they can’t extend/plug into anything).  She is incredibly short despite her relatively tall dad, and hopes to grow one day. She has a relatively small chest and thin waist, giving her a lanky but athletic body. Her legs are just slightly too long for her body, adding to her sinewy appearance.

She isn’t a fan of uniform at all, so she only wears it to classes. She alternates between wearing the pants and skirts. When she wears the pants, she wears them high waisted and tucked in. She also takes off her overcoat often (in both outfits), just carrying around and putting it on when she gets yelled at.

Her prototype hero costume pays homage to her dad and mom, but is mostly her own. She wears a black windbreaker jacket with deceptively deep pockets. This also doubles as a shock resistant sheet. Under this, she wears a black sports bra and tight-ish pants with like a MILLION pockets. She’s a slut for functional fashion! She wears black platform sneakers (think FILAs, but not brand name hfjwfkfbwb). They lace up a bit like hiking boots, but the hooks are removable devices.

Personality:

Emiko is super spunky! She’s cheerful and goofy, but not sugary sweet. She has some edge to her, but she’s a very talkative and open person. She’s absolutely obsessed with edgy memes/vines/ ANYTHING internet. She likes to make jokes often, which can sometimes get her into a bit of trouble. She’s very witty and has a sharp tongue, but that’s often just used for humor. She likes to make friends with as many people as possible, but she has no problem getting downright mean with people who mess with her. Her BIGGEST hate is being looked down on. If you underestimate her… look out. Generally, she’s a very friendly person though.

People often see Emiko for exactly what she is because she’s such an open book. Even quiet and broody people like to hang around and socialize with her. If anything, people see her as far more bubbly, since she doesn't like to bust out the mean Emiko. 

ABILITIES:

Overall abilities: 

She doesn’t have a designated fighting style, but she loves to dart and jump around. She’s able to move pretty fast and often jumps around her opponents to confuse them. She also has damn near perfect aim, so this can be used for striking different pressure points.

Since her quirk can’t really be deployed well without technology, she uses several support items to help her. With her Buttons, she can send massive shock waves of electricity wherever they land (including people). She can also communicate with people even if she’s the only one with a communications device.  She uses the electricity from her devices to immobilize her targets or generally just fuck them up. She can also manipulate electricity as long as its expelled from a device.

Emiko has SO many support items:

‘Buttons’ - basically tiny robots with no function. It’s basically just a button with an electric current. She can use them as a distraction or something of course. But Emiko can use her quirk to stick them to people or herself and deploy insane amounts of electricity. Combine that with her precise aim and you’ve got a stun gun that can target specific areas of the body AND control the output of electricity.

TeleCom - This device works kind of like an AirPod but it doesn’t need bluetooth. Its attached just under her ear. It allows her to use her quirk to send messages to her allied (or foes!)

FingerGuns - Just like her dad, Emiko is one funny motherfucker. With these gloves, she can expel the electricity from the devices in whichever direction she points her fingers.

Goggles - These high tech goggles and quickly give and receive information about her allies and opponents. She can use them if she doesn’t know anything about her team/enemy and gather info. Like GoogleGlass but WAY better.

Quirk:

 Emiko’s quirk Technokinesis pretty much gives her the ability to do nearly anything with an electronic device. She can use it to hack whatever device it is, move things around, explode them, or simply use the interface hands free. She can control many devices at once (probably like up to 30 as of right now). As far as explosion goes, it's mostly just electric sparks with a little heat, but obviously there’s damage from any debris (especially if its come in contact with the sparks). Her quirk has a pretty severe drawback though. Emiko suffers drowsiness and decreased cognitive functions with extended regular use of her quirk (like Denki but like 10x less stupid). She also suffers from random severe seizures, but that doesn’t happen too often. 

Super Moves: 

ButtonBlast: Emiko throws a hand full of buttons in a random direction and sticks them to whatever they land on. She then sends them into a massive electrical explosion, ranging from 100 volts to 100,000 volts (will get stronger with training/time!). This is pretty much enough to fry the brain of any unlucky person to get tackled by one of these. It also blows out any device in range, leaving only the ones she controls in use.

BrainFry: Emiko throws a single button with pinpoint accuracy, landing it at her target’s weak points or exposed areas, even while they move. She delivers a quick but hearty shock, rendering her opponent immobile and unable to function.

TeleCom Confusion: Emiko uses her power of music and stupid puns and her quirk together. She confuses her opponents with rambling on and on about someone. She can also blast music directly into their ears and confuse them.

TechnoScream: Emiko + Madosha use their powers together. While Emiko has on noise canceling headphones, Screaming Shadow yells directly into her TeleCom. Emiko then sends this pitch directly into the heads of her opponents and lets it take effect.

Equipment:

Buttons: These bad boys are tiny, but they pack a punch! She has two sizes - one about the size of a dime and some smaller than that. They’re basically constantly short circuiting devices. Emiko can deploy these at any time, releasing high voltage bursts of electricity or explode them. They’re made of a high grade copper and aluminum alloy. They’re thick but hollow with a simple incomplete circuit on the inside.

TeleCom: ...literally just google how AirPods work, and take away the bad parts. Its essentially an AirPod, but it's a flat disk with a strong adhesive on one side.

FingerGuns: The same general workings as the Buttons, but they don't detach. They’re nestled in the fingers of her gloves and activated when she makes a finger gun symbol.

She has pretty damn bad ADHD.

BNHA Fic: Blink! Ch. 11

SPOILER: We sinking our teeth into the meat of the Hassaikai Arc now. This one’s gonna be a long one.

You’ve been warned!

Nighteye’s agency revealed Eri was at their headquarters all along.

Much to the annoyance of some heroes, specifically Rocklock, the tall spectacled man assured they managed to get new information with the investigation; he saw one of the members of the Hassaikai purchase a popular girl’s toy and decided to interact with the man about it. With a touch of his hand on his shoulder, he activated Foresight to track his movement.

Thanks to the effort the stakeout teams and a warrant from the police, it was time to act.

The students suited up quickly and made their way to the enemy’s base early morning. The pro heroes were briefing the police of the current situation while the junior heroes were on stand-by. Blink leaned against the far wall, looking on in silent penance. Lemillion popped up next her, having already memorized the layout of the base.

“You okay?”

“If you’re wondering if I’ll be able to keep my rage in check…” she callously remarked with disinterest.

“I said something unnecessary and took my frustrations out on you,” the tall blond boy lamented and adjusted his left glove. “I’m sorry.”

The short girl let out a short breath from her nose.

“Apology accepted. And I thought you knew me better than that.”

Lemillion let out a short chuckle and rubbed the tip of his nose.

“You’re absolutely right. You are one of the people we’re looking at in taking over the Big Three title, after all,” he lightheartedly remarked.

“Again with that.” She huffed out in disbelief and gave him a look. “There’s better candidates than me.”

“Blink, I’m serious.”

His tone of voice made her look up to meet his determined blue eyes.

“So am I.”

“You’re more than enough. You’re strong,” Lemillion reaffirmed and placed his hand on her right shoulder, feeling the weight of his limb. She closed her eyes and sighed.

“If you say so…”

Blink got off of the wall and suddenly stopped in place.

“When this is over…” she blurted out. “I’ll tell them everything.” Her eyes gestured over to those in 1-A, with Lemillion agreeing in the form of a nod. “They have a right to know.”

He watched her frame slowly move away, proud of how far she’s come from her former self. The timid and insecure girl he once saw was beginning to bloom into a courageous, full-fledged hero.

But she’s still incomplete.

There was one more piece missing in order for him to fully acknowledge her as the one to pass down the title and will of the Big Three to…

With everyone briefed, they were once again reminded by the police if they see any sort of suspicious behavior or resistance, permission was given to deal with it as quickly as they can.

The entrance to the house was quiet; too quiet. It set Blink on edge.

From what she could remember from her personal investigation, the Hassaikai wasn’t a group to get a jump on. In fact, it’s the opposite.

Instinctively, she tapped her bangles together to summon the clubs to put together into a staff and prepared to fight their way in. As the officer prepared to press the doorbell, a giant man wearing a bird’s mask rushed out and knocked two officers up in the air with his fist, screaming, “What do you want?”

Deku and Eraser Head jumped up and caught the flying victims on time.

The giant man charged against the group, asking the same question again. The resolve of the police force could be seen dissipating, some of which blurted out in disbelief they caught wind of their sting operation. Ryuukyuu immediately transformed into her dragon form, catching the man’s fist with one claw.

“The Ryuukyuu Team will deal with this one,” she firmly stated. “Everyone else continue onward.”

“Get in there!” Fat Gum shouted and pushed Red Riot along. Blink had already jumped a few steps ahead.

As the police announced why they were raiding, the grunts prepared to attack. She immediately beamed forward and reappeared behind the three thugs. Swinging her staff across the back of their heads in full force, she effectively knocked them all out in one fell swoop.

“You’re faster than usual,” Suneater complimented as they ran past her.

“Who do you think you’re talking to?” she casually boasted and teleported to her senior’s side to run alongside him. “You’re the one who trained me in speed, after all.”

“Go for the objective!” FatGum shouted as they charged toward the main entrance and burst the doors open.

Scanning the narrow hallway, things seemed to be going swimmingly for the raid team.

“I got a bad feelin’ ‘bout this!” Lockrock shouted. “But we can’t go back now.”

“I wonder if they got information leaked somehow…” Suneater wondered aloud.

“I’m with you on that,” Blink added. “This place feels off.”

“By joining the family, you pledge loyalty to those at the top,” Aizawa explained. “The way they see solidarity is the same as it was back then. Even with all the noise we’ve been making, neither Chisaki or any of the higher-ups have yet to appear. They’re most likely hiding underground and preparing to escape.”

“How unmanly of them!” Red Riot angrily shouted. “Having your followers take responsibility for your actions… What the hell kinda “loyalty” is that?!”

The group slowly came to a halt and found a wall with an ikebana vase. Nighteye carefully removed the vase and said, “There’s a mechanism here that opens up a hidden path.” He proceeded to press the wooden floor following a specific sequence.

With the sound of a click, the hidden door revealed itself, revealing three more thugs ready to attack. Bubble Girl immediately jumped into action and punched one of them using her quirk.

“Go on without me! I’ll catch up!” she shouted as the rest of the group filed down the stairs. Turning a corner, they came up at a dead end. As Rocklock and the police officer started complaining about the bad intel, Lemillion phased through the wall, saying he’d go on ahead to check things out. Red Riot and Deku jumped into action and smashed the makeshift wall to bits.

“Damn… not bad,” Rocklock complimented.

Their celebration was cut short as they saw the path beginning to distort into twists and turns.

“This isn’t Chisaki’s… it’s someone else!” the chief panicked. “It’s gotta be Irinaka, one of the directors!”

“ His quirk is called Mimicry, allowing him to control objects from the inside! But... it isn’t supposed to be this powerful,” FatGum analyzed. “Unless he gave himself a boost. He must’ve gained control of the entire basement to turn it into this!”

“This is gonna be troublesome,” Blink uttered out, trying to figure out a way to get past the living wall.

“Eraser, can you cancel it out?” FatGum asked the goggled man.

“Not unless there’s a body...”

“We’ll never get to our target at this rate,” Suneater quivered out, feeling despair sinking into his heart. “How can we think about saving a girl when we can’t even figure out our next move here?!”

“Tamaki!” Lemillion’s voice called out, breaking his train of thought from spiraling down. He managed to phase back to the group. “This isn’t like you. You’re Suneater! We can get through this! This twisting path doesn’t matter as long as we know where the target is. I can make it!”

“Lemillion, wait!” Blink shouted.

“It’s a race against the clock to buy them time,” he deduced as he phased through the wall again and disappeared. “I’ll see you on the other side!”

Suneater, having been affected by Lemillion’s words, immediately changed his stance.

“You heard him loud and clear, right Suneater?” Blink scanned the walls to find a weak point. “Time’s of the essence.”

Before he could respond, the ground below them suddenly caved, sending them down one story. Eraser Head and Blink saw the opening for a brief moment, only to have the chance slip away. The group analyzed their surroundings, finding themselves in a room.

“We’re gettin’ farther away from the target!” Rocklock shouted. “They got us good!”

“Thanks for stating the obvious, genius,” Blink deadpanned and dusted herself off.

“Look who we got here. Government idiots droppin’ from the ceiling,” a voice emerged from the fog at the far end of the room. As it cleared, three people wearing plague masks emerged. As Fat Gum was preparing to fight, Suneater stopped him.

“Your powers are important to the mission. They’re just trying to slow us down...” he firmly stated. “I can take them on myself!”

“What the hell, dude?!” Red Riot complained. “We’ll do this together!”

“I’ll be your back-up,” Blink stated with determination.

One person wearing a small plague mask stared menacingly and agreed.

“More of you to slaughter. Sure. Come at us in a group.”

“Nobody draw your weapons!” the chief announced. “That’s Setsuno!”

“Oh I guess you know ‘bout me! No matter.” Setsuno drew his blade and initiated his attack. “It makes it easier to go crazy on you!”

Eraser Head quickly jumped into the fray, rendering Setsuno’s quirk useless for the time being. The second thug wearing a regular face mask drew his gun, only to be deflected by Fat Gum’s spinning jump attack, followed by Suneater’s octopus tentacles restraining them.

‘Larceny’.. Setsuno. ‘Crystallize’ … Hojo. ‘Food’… Tabe,” the hooded hero listed out. “Your fight’s with me!”

“Suneater, don’t be stupid–” Blink started.

“We stay here any longer, we’re playing into their hands!” he defied. “There’s not a moment to spare! Eraser needs to lead the way and the pro’s quirks need to be conserved. The police have their guns and you already have the power to smash through those changing walls. So go! I can keep these three occupied!”

Feeling the strong sense of resolve from Suneater’s words, the party hesitantly made their way to the door at the far end. It’s not the ideal situation, but it needed to be done.

As they separated, Suneater and Blink thought at the same time: Mirio’s going to take things too far and will need to be saved.

“Fat! Are you sure we should leave Suneater there?!” Red Riot asked out of worry.

“He’s one of yours, so it’s your call,” Rocklock replied. “I think it may be a bad idea.”

“He can do it,” Blink turned to the three and firmly responded. “Don’t underestimate Suneater.”

“He’s more capable than any of us here,” Fat Gum agreed. “He’s just lacks spirit from the pressure he puts on himself. So when he says he’ll deal with it, I believe him.”

Rushing through the corridors, the two U.A. students couldn’t help but worry about Suneater’s fight, to which Fat Gum had to re-instill his trust in his sidekick in them.

“When a guy says he’s got your back, you trust him like a real man!” he shouted.  

“Senpai’s the type of person whose actions speak louder than words,” Blink added. “He wouldn’t want us worrying over nothing.”

“But wait, something’s odd...” Deku looked around. “The walls aren’t shifting around anymore.”

“It must mean he doesn’t have full awareness of the basement if he’s letting us through like this,” Eraser Head concluded and saw the stairs. “The officers are up above and Suneater’s behind us… Maybe our villain’s attention is diverted.”

“So that means his real body’s nearby when he does shift the room,” Blink elaborated. “And he has to stick some part of his body to observe the situation, like his eyes.”

“Something still feels off.” The short green haired boy wiped some sweat from his chin with his gloved hand. “It’s too quiet.”

“You’re not wrong. This area would be the best place for a pincer ambush,” the hooded heroine pointed out.

In almost an instant, the wall immediately moved, separating Eraser Head from the rest of the party. The rolling hero dove right in and grabbed the tail end of his Capture Weapon, swinging him back to safety. Blink saw Fat Gum and Red Riot go through the hole, leaving her with the main group.

“Shit!” she hissed through gritted teeth. “At the rate we’re being separated…”

“They’ll be fine, Blink,” Eraser Head calmly responded. “We have other things to worry about.”

The walls around them were closing in quick. She did what she could with her staff and tried to pry apart two areas of shifting wall, only to have it rebound her weapon.

“Lockrock!” Nighteye called.

“Now you’re acting like a leader from your mismanagement?!” he complained as he activated his quirk, Lockdown. “This way! I’ve locked this side off so it won’t shift anymore.”

As the group slowly shifted down an unknown path, Lockrock was using his ability to its maximum output, part of the living wall lunged out to attack the group. Deku’s kick and Blink’s staff quickly smashed it to pieces. The remaining police force could only stand idly by, unable to do anything but survive.

“If Fat Gum was still here, we coulda made our way through more smoothly!” the locking hero angrily shouted at Eraser Head.

“Less talking, more locking!” Blink shot back and broke through another wall attacking them with Deku.

“We’re getting no where!” the boy panted out in frustration and the walls suddenly opened up. A sudden commotion from above made Eraser Head instinctively react by pulling both students out of harm’s way. In doing so, they were separated from Nighteye, Rocklock and the cops by a wall.

“Hey are you guys okay?!” an officer asked from the other side of the wall, his voice crystal clear.

“The walls aren’t very thick, after all,” Nighteye realized.

Before they could respond, a sudden commotion of scuffling and bodies falling could be heard. Deku immediately acted and kicked the wall down, revealing two Rocklocks.

“An impostor appeared outta nowhere and attacked me!” the locking hero said. “Be careful. There’s new enemies.”

Eraser Head ran up to the other Rocklock and noticed a knife wound from on his hand.

“Midoriya, are you okay over there?”

“Yes, but we’ve gotta hurry—”

Catching onto Eraser’s reaction, all Blink could do was shout, “Deku, get away from him!”

As the fake Rocklock was about to stab Deku, Eraser activated his quirk, nullifying the impostor’s ability and revealed a high school girl with messy pig-tailed buns. He then wrapped his Capturing Weapon around her to restrain her movements.

“Toga Himiko?!” Deku shouted in shock.

“You remembered me!” she shouted with joy. Her lips broke into a deranged wide smile and blushed. “I’m so happy, Deku darling!”

“This is the end for you, Toga Himiko!” Eraser Head shouted, only to be glared at by the girl.

With her free arm, she flipped herself upward by balancing her palm on his weapon and stabbed him on his shoulder before retreating into the living wall from the momentum of her body.

“I’m all right! Don’t come any closer!” he heeded and held onto his wound.

“Who the hell was she?” Blink huffed out and ran up to Eraser to tend to his shoulder wound.

“Toga Himiko… she’s part of the League of Villains,” Deku answered. “Her quirk allows her to turn herself into other people somehow.”

“So our assumptions about the League’s relationship with them were wrong…” Eraser uttered out.

“Pick up the knife,” Eraser instructed. “Toga uses blood somehow with her quirk… And we need to tend to Rocklock’s bleeding.”

“I’m on it,” Blink confirmed and ran to the other hero’s side. Rocklock honestly rubbed her the wrong way, but he’s still a hero nonetheless. She reached into her bag and quickly triaged his wounds.

“Damn…it,” the locking hero coughed out.

“Save your energy. You’re gonna make it worse if you move now.”

“You’re healing me?” He let out with a defeated breath.

“If you rather die, I can stop,” she replied with a straight face while disinfecting the knife wound. He let out a light hiss of pain from the mild burning sensation. Blink held a piece of bandaged gauze on it before wrapping it up with the cloth bandages.

“I know you don’t like me…” Rocklock huffed out.

“You don’t say.”

“But thank you.”

His sudden change in demeanor made Blink freeze, her eyes widened to reflect the reaction. She turned and looked away with pouting lips. 

“Sorry…” she shyly mumbled out. “‘Bout my attitude in the meeting. I was just agitated.”

Rocklock huffed a sigh of relief with a smirk, laying his head back down for a momentary rest. Everything suddenly started shaking around them much more violently than last time.

“Someone’s getting angry,” Blink huffed out, watching rocky debris cascading down the cave and heard an indistinct voice within the walls screaming, “Kill! Kill! Kill!”

“Did you hear that?!” Eraser suddenly shouted, helping Blink with moving Rocklock.

The anger in the voice intensified, with Blink and Deku both immediately locating its source.

“Above us!” Blink shouted as Deku was already mid-action in kicking the ceiling wall, revealing Irinaka with just enough time for Eraser to use his quirk on him. Unable to use his ability now, the man found himself free falling down and turned to his left, screaming “You bastards!” to someone. Deku managed to catch him on time.

“It seems… we’ve been used,” Nighteye calmly said. “But thanks to that, we’re free of the labyrinth.”

While the cops were interrogating Irinaka, Deku and Eraser were concerned about the League of Villains appearance. Rocklock couldn’t stand this.

“Have you forgotten our top priority?!” he angrily shouted. “Leave the League to the cops. We’ve come this far! Think of everyone who’s bought us time to get to this point! Just go!”

The remaining heroes looked at each other and nodded, making their way down the now clear path. Deku stopped in his steps and turned back to Rocklock, shouting, “I’ll save her no matter what, Rocklock!” before rejoining Eraser Head, Nighteye and Blink.

As the group continued to carry out the mission, a sudden dull ache racked Blink’s body, stopping her in her steps. She could hear her heartbeat in her head all of a sudden, her breath jagged.

“Blink, are you okay?!” Deku asked with worry and placed his hand on her back.

She let out a shaky exhale and looked up at the green haired boy with crocodile tears threatening to leak out.

“Lemillion…” she uttered out and looked up with broken eyes. “We have to hurry to where he is.”

BnHA Chapter 297: We’re Bustin’ Outta This Joint

Previously on BnHA: Horikoshi did his best to undo all of the good vibes from the Girl Power arc by killing off Midnight. It sucks and I still don’t like it, but it is what it is. Unfortunately, Not Killing Off Your One Female Teacher Character With Any Character Development was worth 30% of his grade for the semester, so it brought his average down all the way to a C-, and so he and his report card will just have to live with that. Meanwhile Ochako did some rescuing, and the other U.A. kids lay around unconscious and/or traumatized. The chapter ended with an abrupt cut to Tartarus, where AFO is apparently just chilling and waiting for the Nearly High Ends to come bust him free. What kind of a cliffhanger is that to leave your fans hanging on for three whole weeks. Who’s suffering more here, the characters or the readers.

Today on BnHA: Horikoshi is all “okay I know you all want to know what happens to Deku and Shouto and the rest, but have you considered finding out what happens to Overhaul and Muscular and Moonfish and New Girl Character instead?” Fandom is all, “you had us at New Girl Character.” Seiji’s dad is all, “I’m just going to say a bunch of stuff to help make sure none of the readers feel conflicted about cheering on a bunch of mass murderers escaping from prison.” Tomura is all, “dammit AFO why are you still here.” AFO is all, “shhh, Tomura, go back to sleep.” Tomura is all, “wtf but you’re literally hijacking my body and continuing to shred it to bits while we break into BnHA Alcatraz to recruit your own personal Suicide Squad.” AFO is all, “:).” Real!AFO is all, “HERE I AM, EVERYONE, SORRY TO KEEP YOU WAITING.” And then the chapter ends. my very first thought was “that’s a long-ass fucking bridge”, and then I went to go google “longest bridges”, and Wikipedia was all “son there are literally a hundred and fifty bridges in the real world longer than 5km, and the longest one is actually 165km”, and I was all “oh shit I really don’t know jack shit about bridges.” then I looked at the list for a few more minutes and realized that the super-long bridges were all built over land, and that the longest bridge over water is only 38km. which is way more reasonable, but also still really fucking long though?? ngl I would freak the fuck out on that bridge. what does any of this have to do with Tartarus you ask?? absolutely nothing, I literally forgot I was reading a chapter for a sec lol uh

anyway, my parting thought on the bridge is that it kind of defeats the whole purpose of having a giant island fortress prison, but whatever. moving on

and the six levels thing is straight out of One Piece lol. something tells me BnHA’s prison break arc isn’t going to be quite as fun. hmm

so now we’re cutting to “the Bronze Gate”, which is the main entrance off of the bridge, and some goat-looking motherfucker is out here trying to become my new favorite character. bro

ooh and now we’re getting an interesting look at the various prisoners, some of whom look suspiciously familiar!

for starters, that’s definitely Moonfish in the upper left corner, I’m like 99% sure. not quite clear who that is across from him in the upper right, but it’s been a hot minute since we saw Muscular, so maybe?

and could that be Overhaul in the panel beneath him?? they’re not showing his face so I assume it’s someone we’d recognize, and he’s the only currently-incarcerated villain with that haircut as far as I can recall. though it seems weird that he’s not restrained more given his quirk. I thought Horikoshi mentioned in Ultra Analysis that he’d gotten it back somehow. eh well we will wait for answers

I don’t recognize the person to his left either (though she has an oddly familiar look to her?). but the person on the bottom right, next to Kurogiri... is it Stain?? the hair and body language are sure giving off Stain vibes. if someone had told the me from two years ago that I’d actually be excited to see Stain again I would have said you were full of shit. and yet here we are. these sure are interesting times

anyway so now the Code Red intruder alarm is blaring. and I gotta say, that one scene sure was effective at killing any sympathy I might have been inclined to feel for these guards lol. bring on the imminent massacre
