There's something about Marty being friends with doc brown, this old scientist who has never had any friends before and have spent his entire life all alone with only his dog as his companion

The thought of out of nowhere, this kid randomly entered his life and decided to stay and be best friends with him just makes me so happy

It's kinda funny because the first time I watch bttf I wasn't convinced that Marty and Doc were best friends I thought that Marty was just his assistant or something

But then- the hug in 1955 happened and at that moment I realized that Marty cares a lot about doc

He's willing to go through everything to keep his friend safe. In the game he goes through so many time travelling shenanigans I was basically waiting for him to run out of patience

But he never did, not when it comes to his best friend. And that's why their friendship just means so much to me. Like- to have someone care about you so much they never run out of patience no matter what you do. They still care about you through and through

What I'm doing an hour later, Apparently: [brain explode with thoughts and feelings and being normal] so hey guys about Tsukasa and his EVERYTHING-

#me trying to consider whether ill even post anything on here #am i gonna snap and do what i did for bttf and just make a blog to yell on #idk if id even talk enough for it #but on the other hand making other blogs tends to make me more organized #and i guess i Do have a good deal of thoughts #but on the OTHER hand figuring out how to write this all while sounding like a sane person #when half of this started as kinning and thinking 'oh wow haha i did that when i was younger too lol'#and then suddenly things were happening #and im like 'oh hm okay' and it is Not Lol Haha its more 'oh my god i think he's experienced some of the same trauma i did'#and approaching it from such a personal angle HELP #bc on the one hand yeah i do legitimately think it's part of what's wrong with him if not a huge chunk #but on the other its largely based on personal experiences and not just 'i know exactly what this mental thing looks like'#or 'here is my analysis based on pure logic that i definitely didn't see coming because i too had issues like this'#but on the Other Hand #god would it be nice to run my mouth LOL #ig in the end the conflict comes down to being afraid i will not be taken seriously bc it will be seen as 'projection' instead of a genuine #like #read on the character?#i do not know if i have the strength to expose myself to that kind of judgement #but like #on the other hand i feel like i very legitimately am getting parts Right #so ig in the end its inner turmoil and anxiety trying to win one over on me again <3

Just wanted to introduce myself/address a couple of things in more detail 👋

Call me Jovian or Sparky

Please use he/they pronouns - I don't mind if you favour one over the other but if you could use he/him at least sometimes that would be great

The reason for the points above: I'm trying out new names and pronouns! I didn't feel confident enough yet doing this on my main blog until I decide how I feel about it, but I was debating making a BTTF sideblog anyway and Marty McFly has been a big part of my gender questioning so this felt like a good place to start from scratch and test the waters a bit

Please please please don't be afraid to send me asks using my names and pronouns! It would be a huge help to get me used to seeing them in a casual chatty way.

This is not a roleplay or kinning blog! I'm not pretending/trying to be THE Marty McFly, he's just the starting point of me figuring all this stuff out.

I am an adult. It's highly unlikely that I'll be posting anything nsfw and if I do it will be tagged as such, but I wanted to be clear for any minors who may try to interact with me - by all means like/reblog my stuff, but please don't DM me or try to have 1-to-1 conversations.

I'm not going to share my main account/other social media here. May reblog to my main from time to time to help build this blog up, but please don't actively seek it out or ask to follow me elsewhere. ok ok yes, marty is an idiot and that's valid and his and doc's friendship is perfectly balanced between doc's scientific genius and marty's brain emptiness and marty just wants to be a rockstar anyway

BUT

consider

marty going to college to study physics because he admires doc who would be the kind of person to say that anyone can learn anything so marty is determined to understand more of what doc does by studying it
