It was clear how you captured the hearts of your endless admirers. Minhyuk understood from the get go that you were a forced to be reckoned with. You were part of a girl group thats pretty famous yeah

U were known as the mood maker of the group

The outgoing one

The emotional cry baby

Basically, you were very comfortable with showing your emotions

Plus, youre v clingy and needy

You do most of the skinship in the group unapologetically and unabashedly

You've been a fan of the show 'we got married' for a really long time and expressed your interest in featuring in it to your managers

But cos u were pretty young at the peak of the show, they were hesitant about it

But now is ur time

And to your surprise u got paired up with BTOB's Minhyuk (surprise!)

Now, you were about the age as his group, which was why you were close with Peniel

Minhyuk actually asked about u from him

And peniel was very Nonchalant

But said u were nice

And really talented

(you two went to the same Church Btw)

But you were only ever acquainted to Minhyuk,

which sort of made it fun

in ur head that you would have a new friend

On ur first episode u met at like a chinese restaurant and really just went at it

"ive been thinking a lot on how we should approach this and i think we can help each other out,,,, like treat me the way you would treat a woman u like so that if ur problematic, i can help fix it for u," you bluntly said

Minhyuk to be honest, enjoyed the fact u were taking the lead

He pulls into a smile and a nervous chuckle and says, "okay lets do that."

"ok cool. U do the same with me. N like hopefully at the end of this we can be bffssss!!"

Minhyuk cheerily smiles.

You proceed to insist on writing down a letter to your future selves to read at the end of it.

You also make sure the other doesn't read what was written.

U jokingly warn minhyuk that by the end of it u would probably cry cos thats such a you thing

Ur surprised when minhyuk agrees

Pleasantly surprised tho

Honestly, it was a pretty strong start between the two of u

You right off the bat said yallz should have pet names

And that ur name should be husband and wife in ur phones

You pretend to be offended by his scream

Minhyuk begins to push you from behind, "lets go to the haunted house!!!"

You try to fight back, and you manage to stop him, only cos he relents

"oppa pls im such a scaredy cat plsSsss i will pee myself."

Minhyuk is even more interested.

"yA, i went on all the rides you wanted!"

"because you wanted to get on them too!"

He narrows his eyes, "nope. We're going to the haunted house."

You whine.

He chuckles, "please, it's not like you will die"

You make a run for it

For real

you decide to run away from him and get into the car you drove here in or something

I mean u started off walking away

But since minhyuk kept blocking you

You bolted

Minhyuk wasn't necessarily expecting that

But from how you were moving, it made sense that was the next thing youd do

But bish if you don't know minhyuk is a friCKIN TRACKSTAR

you can imagine how the camera crew felt

Also, dafaq he's pretty strong so of course he's gonna catch you

Even with all the people around

So that you wouldn't get crushed onto him when he pulls you back, you begin to run in circles, which made for a comedic footage

You stop and give him a look, "lee Minhyuk i hate horror pls have mercy"

"come on, it's just a bit of fun and i'll hold ur hand through it all"

You bicker back and forth for a while, up until you relent

Minhyuk is pleased when you two walk to the attraction

You do make it inside right

Just as you step into the haunted house

Scaring U

Minhyuk stomps his feet and screams ur way

Clearly making you jolt up and shout in horror

You beat him up

Whine

And make an exit

He chuckles and apologizes repeatedly

And catches you by ur waist, lifting you up and propping you beside him

Its pretty unfair he can do stuff like that

And the internet goes wild with that clip,

Editing it over and over again

Thinking it was so cute and romantic

And how hot minhyuk was for that 🥵

But at that moment, u were just really friggin jittery even though u were not even technically in the house yet

Minhyuk put your hand by the crook of his bicep and soothes you with apologies, "i promise that's the last. I'll protect you now."

You keep quiet, apart from your whines, and slam your forehead on his shoulder

You tread slowly, mostly because of you

Halfway into the room, you begin to panic

"oppa oppa, lets just run outside"

Minhyuk turns to you, chuckling, "i think it's too dark for that"

Honestly, Minhyuk still had nervousness in him while walking through the place, but he just found you really funny... and sorta cute, so he wasn't really that scared

"GAAAHHHHHHH!"

Ur first jumpscare was by ur side,

So you clawed minhyuk and ran behind him, making him laugh

You began to push him from behind

The next thing you knew there were ghosts and ghouls screaming at you

And paper props brushing against ur skin

Bruh this aint it

You kept screaming, "RUN RUN RUN RUN"

But minhyuk refuses and only balances your pushed out

He eventually pulls you in front of him and you two begin to jog out

The exit is pretty close

But suddenly there's a zombie chasing after you

By the time you get out of the house, ur out of breath and just shaky from all the adrenaline

It was really warm and fuzzy

but you wanted to share the blessings you were fortunate enough to have

but you would remember how you barely really had time for your self

and honestly, you felt like a coward

because every time you'd get close to doing it

u'd have ten reasons not to go through with it

and ultimately, u agreed if you were so reluctant about it

u didnt deserve her

and u also didnt want to be a single mom

who left her kid a lot

you started feeling like a dummy

but minhyuk reassured you it made sense

So when he had this mission to get a kiss for you

He panicked

And was uneasy all day

he had actually been so off for a while

but he just so empty

because at the end of the day u were with him because of a contract

U decided to do something fun to destress him that day, though u were unsure of why he was so stressed exactly

U found a simple dress on the rack, and u decided that was how you would complete ur mission

Minhyuk sheds a tear when he explains how much u have grown on him in this time. He reads out how he had hoped to learn about himself as a man and how to treat a lady well, and he concludes that u have set the standard and how special u have become to him

and just like that it was over

it felt so surreal

and minhyuk felt both relieved

and in mourning

To be freaking honest

Everything was so sus between u

Clearly so many people wanted u do end up with each other at the end of it

And so many took to the internet to talk about how whipped minhyuk was for u

some people pointed out how ur touches lingered

and how ur eyes sparkled when u interacted

but again

it wasnt really out of character for u

so most of ur fans didnt get their hopes up

and even crushed other viewers dreams about u being together

When it all ended, for some reason minhyuk expected u to do an 180 on him, or to never see him out again

Summary: KPOP Idol AU! You're hired to be a model for a wedding themed photoshoot. The problem is, your partner is Lee Minhyuk and the public isn't aware of your relationship yet.

"Okay, so shoes. What shoes?" Ae-Cha asked as I led her and Mi-Cha to a shoe store.

I told them the heel's height, the shoe size and that the color should be white.

"What's this for again?" Ae-Cha asked as she looked around the store.

"It's for a shoot." I replied as I browsed some shoes at a corner.

"What's the theme?" Mi-Cha asked.

"Wedding theme." I replied and I could see Ae-Cha's eye widen when she looked at me.

"Who's the groom?" Mi-Cha asked.

"Did I say that there was a groom?" I asked.

"Of course. In a wedding shoot, there is a bride and a groom." Mi-Cha started to explain.

"I wonder who's the groom." Ae-Cha said. "Just in case I need to put your boyfriend in a room so he wouldn't go berserk during your photoshoot."

"Actually, it's just him who's going to be the groom." I finally gave in and told them.

Mi-Cha gave Ae-Cha a look. Ae-Cha was confused for a moment before she opened her mouth and she slowly nodded.

"Ae-Cha, stop that." I said. "Close your mouth. I can see something else."

Ae-Cha closed her mouth and she raised an eyebrow.

Mi-Cha laughed. She probably got the reference.

"Ah, let's just get this over with." Ae-Cha said and she took a pair of shoes off a table. "Here."

"Oh, this is nice." I commented as I observed the shoes. "But I don't think it's going to be all that comfortable."

"How about this one?" Mi-Cha suggested as she showed me a pair.

"Um, I don't like the style." I said after I observed it.

"How about this one?" Ae-Cha asked with a mischievous smirk on her face as she showed me the most weirdest looking shoes I have ever seen.

"Ae-Cha!" Mi-Cha laughed as she playfully smacked her on the head.

I smiled at them.

This is going to take a while.

"Guys, I think we better go back to the dorm for a while. We have practice soon." Ae-Cha said as she looked at her watch.

"Yeah, we should." I agreed. "Iseul and Eun-Kyung must be finished recording."

I could see Ae-Cha bite her lip in an attempt to stop laughing.

"I'm sorry." She said when she laughed out loud.

"Hoy! Don't underestimate Eun-Kyung." Mi-Cha said, seriously. "She's good at rapping."

She laughed at her own saying and Ae-Cha just laughed along.

Aish, these two. Why are you teasing our leader?

"But in all honesty though," Ae-Cha said when she finally composed herself. "I love Eun-Kyung. In a friendly sisterly way. Cause she's the best!"

"Even if she teases you a lot?" I raised an eyebrow at her as I remembered every innuendo Eun-Kyung says about Ae-Cha.

"Well," Ae-Cha said. "I'll always find a way to get revenge."

She laughed away, it was almost as if she was a villain. Evil, evil laugh.

"Hah, this is why we shouldn't leave her alone with Ilhoon." I muttered.

Two maknaes. Two evil maknaes.

Ae-Cha's not evil but she can be, besides it's Ilhoon.

It's gonna get chaotic. I just know it. Deep, deep, deeeeeeppppp down inside.

"Guys, let's go!" Mi-Cha said and we all went back to the dorm.

"Okay, how about this one?" Iseul asked as she showed me a pair of shoes.

After practice, we all went to find me a pair of white heels for the shoot again. This time with Iseul and Eun-Kyung.

"Hey, that's good." I took it and examined it more.

"Well, there's only like two white heels in this one." Iseul said. "The rest are silver."

"Hah, Silverlight!" I teased Ae-Cha and she just rose an eyebrow before she smiled.

"Wow, no reaction today?" Mi-Cha asked.

"Eh," Ae-Cha walked away and took a pair. "What about this one?"

When I saw it, I kind of liked the way it was designed.

"Try it on!" Mi-Cha said.

Actually, I tried on a lot of shoes before I finally brought one.

"Hmmm. . ." Iseul said thoughtfully. "Maybe I should buy one too."

"Yeah, me too." Mi-Cha said.

"I think all of us needs one." Eun-Kyung said. "Ae-Cha needs one since you're gonna be a host in an event, right?"

"It's just a cosplay event, no biggie." Ae-Cha shrugged.

"No biggie? Who's the character you're gonna cosplay?" I asked. "The shoes depends on that character, right?"

"Yeah," Ae-Cha said. "I'm going to cosplay as Judy Hopps! From Zootopia!"

"Good luck then!" Iseul said. "She doesn't really wear heels, right?"

"Yep, and my co-host is Liui Aquino and he's gonna be Nick Wilde. You know, the fox." Ae-Cha said.

"Ha, good luck. Don't let Eunkwang jealous." Eun-Kyung teased. "I heard that Liui is a really handsome guy."

"Eh, we're just good friends." Ae-Cha said. "Eunkwang knows anyway."

"Ok," I nodded. "Good luck to all of us then."

All of us has stuff to do.

Eun-Kyung is going to be featured in a talk show in a few days so I can understand why she thinks she needs a new pair of shoes.

Mi-Cha is going to be a judge in a dance show, the details are still a little rough around the edges and she's not sure if she'll take it but that doesn't mean that she shouldn't be prepared to look good whether or not she'll take the job.

Iseul? She seems to be having a photoshoot too in a few days for her solo album after she finishes the recordings.

Ae-Cha is going to host a cosplay event with Liui Aquino. A host should always look good but her's is like a Halloween costume party, accuracy of the character is what she craves.

And then there's me with the wedding photoshoot with none other than my boyfriend, Lee Minhyuk, as my groom.

We all need luck.

"There! You're ready!" The make-up artist said.

"Thank you." I smiled at her before I saw her go get the first gown I was going to use.

I looked at myself in the mirror and sighed.

Relax.

It's gonna be fine.

"Let's change into your dress?" I heard her ask and I nodded.

She helped me into my dress and after that she placed the veil on my head.

"Well, you're ready!" She said with a satisfied smile before she left to inform the photographer.

I looked at myself in the mirror and took my reflection in.

The gown was beautiful and the veil just made it look gorgeous. I really felt like a real bride.

I could almost feel myself tear up but I stopped myself because I don't want to ruin the make-up artist's effort.

"Ah, she's having a moment." She nodded. "Maybe you should wait for a while."

I looked behind me and I saw her and Minhyuk at the doorway of the dressing room. Minhyuk had a bouquet of flowers in his hand and his other hand was in the pocket of his pants. He looked really charming in his tuxedo.

"Well, looks like she's done." Minhyuk said and he walked towards me to give me the flowers.

"You look beautiful." He whispered in my ear.

"Don't flatter me." I said as a warning but he just smirked.

"It's the truth." He said and he held out his arm for me to loop in. "Let's go attend the wedding?"

"Okay, look at her like she's your whole world." The photographer said and Minhyuk did what he was told.

He looked at my eyes with love and I looked back at him with the same emotion as the photographer took some pictures.

"Okay, now get closer with each other. Hands on her cheeks, Minhyuk. Okay? Look down at her lips like you're going to kiss her. You look at his lips too." The photographer said.

We did that but I can't help but think.

Did I tell you that we haven't publicly said me and Minhyuk are together? Well, now you know. And this is a very tight situation we're in. I hope Minhyuk doesn't do anything overboard. I hope I don't do anything overboard.

"Good, good. Wow, you two have so much chemistry." The photographer snapped more photos. "Now, how about a kiss?"

I looked at the photographer surprised.

What?

"Hey, isn't that a bit too much?" Minhyuk said.

At least you have the initiative to stop him. Thank you.

Because you know how we cannot control our kisses yet.

Long story, don't ask.

"This is a wedding themed photoshoot. In a wedding, there will always be a kissing scene." The photographer said.

"But isn't it going too much out of her boundary?" Minhyuk asked.

"You are an actor, you kissed a whole lot of girls onscreen. What makes kissing her any different?" The photographer asked that made my blood boil. "Unless?"

"Unless what?" I snapped. "Did you even ask me what I would feel kissing this guy?"

They both looked at me surprised.

"Look, we can just find another pose." Minhyuk tried to bargain.

"I'm sorry but I was given a list." The photographer said. "Besides, if you didn't want to get kissed in this shoot then you shouldn't have taken the job in the first place."

I sighed.

"Also, why are you even so concerned about this?" The photographer asked Minhyuk.

Well, this escalated quickly. We need an escape route fast and not let anyone know.

"Okay, okay." I said before Minhyuk can reply. "I'll do it."

I nodded and looked at Minhyuk.

"We'll do it."

Minhyuk bit his lip before he nodded slowly.

"Okay, then." The photographer nodded. "Just take your time, indulge in the moment."

Minhyuk cupped my cheek and looked directly at my eyes, he looked a little worried.

"You sure?" He whispered and I just nodded.

Let's get this done.

He kissed my lips and I could hear the clicking of the camera.

Be satisfied, Mr. Photographer! Because I am not doing this again!

I started to kiss back and I could almost feel it becoming heated.

Oh, his lips.

"Okay, okay!" The photographer called. "Break it up, lovebirds!"

I opened my eyes and I pulled away.

"Thanks for the great poses." The photographer said. "Dismissed!"

I sighed.

Yes! Finally over!

I started to walk towards the dressing room and I started to put on my normal everyday clothes to meet up with the girls.

But before that, I checked my phone for a while and saw that Ae-Cha has a text message: I kinda have a weird feeling about this photoshoot. Be careful!

Aigooo, this kid and her sixth sense. But somehow they always end up true, you know? I think I'll just be careful.

I put my phone in my bag and was about to leave the room when the door opened and Minhyuk went in.

"Sorry about awhile ago." He apologized.

I nodded a bit.

"It's okay, I'm sorry for almost losing my temper." I said with a sheepish grin.

He touched my chin and made me look up at him before he placed a kiss on my lips.

When we pulled away, we smiled at each other.

"How would you feel about announcing our relationship to the public?" He asked.

"Hah, you're so daring." I chuckled. "But it would be great that we can stop this charade with people already if we do announce our relationship."

I took a deep breath.

We should really stop this.

"Well, not right away." He suggested. "We'll think about it then maybe plan it. Ask advice from our managers and our members."

I nodded and I hugged him, he hugged back and he gently stroked my hair.

"Yeah?"

"Yeah."

We stayed like that for a while like the world stopped for us.

I wish when we finally reveal it to the public it would turn out like the white satin fabric of the gown: pure and almost faultless. Nothing to hide finally.

BTOB - Them And Reader Being Judges In Produce X 101

A/N: got this requested on my other blog, but since I'm not too active on that one anymore I'll post it here!

And yes, this is an OT7 post. Hope you enjoy!

Eunkwang

Is absolutely thrilled that he gets to work beside his partner.

Although everyone is already aware of your relationship, he doesn't even try to be discreet about it. It's actually pretty cute.

Both of you are known as the "parents" of the show, because you're both some of the oldest and you like to look out for the trainees.

You're both pretty good at giving them advice, but sometimes when Eunkwang senses that the trainees are way too tense, he tries to cheer them up by trying to be funny.

"-and if you end up falling on stage, just play dead and stay there until the music stops. Like this-"

You playfully scold him while the trainees are laughing at the way he is giving a demonstration. "Yah- why would you tell them that?"

When It's time for the judges to evaluate the performances, he of course is being his usual self -he is known to be quite the mood maker.

When It's finally your turn to speak and give criticism, he always takes the opportunity to make you flustered, with comments like, "Y/N looks so pretty today, don't they?" or "Everyone please give Y/N a round of applause, they have been working very hard lately."

You also don't fail to amuse him with your own comments, and when you say something funny his loud laugh is the one thing heard all around the room.

Everyone loves your interactions -the trainees, the host, the other judges, the viewers- and they're always one of the things that people look forward to watching on the next episode.

Minhyuk

You have always been a huge fan of BTOB, and it just so happens that Minhyuk is your favorite.

That's why when you get the opportunity to work alongside him as a judge in Produce X 101, you are ecstatic.

A lot of people working on the show know this, so of course they have to put you on the spot right in front of him.

All you do is laugh and cover your face in embarrassment as soon as the host asks you about your love for Minhyuk, who just so happens to be sitting right next you.

When you finally gain the courage to confirm it, the host turns to Minhyuk in order to ask him how he feels about this.

"I'm very honored, because I'm a fan of them, too." He replies on his microphone, sending the audience into a frenzy.

You almost faint right on the spot.

From that point forward, both of you seem to grow closer, and you feel much more comfortable being around him.

You're able to joke with him, elaborate on things he points out, and you even begin to take selcas together.

It's really no surprise to anyone when, months after the show has finished airing, an article about you two being in a relationship comes out.

You both confirm It’s true.

Changsub

Has the biggest crush on you and it shows.

He is your #1 fanboy, even if he's been in the industry for much longer than you have.

Whenever the judges are introduced, and It's your turn to be called, you will either see him standing up and clapping dramatically, or randomly taking out a sign with your name on it.

"Y/N, notice me!" He will shout, despite the fact that you're only like two seats away from him.

His facial expressions speak for themselves, as well.

Changsub is always mesmerized by every single thing that you say or do.

When you have to do a special performance for the show's finale, he, just like everyone else, is blown away by your charisma and vocals on stage.

He is also quite the gentleman.

He would often pull a chair out for you, open doors for you, etc.

Frankly put, he is whipped.

Hyunsik

He gets very shy around you.

It's because he likes you, a lot, and is excited to start working with you.

You feel the exact same way.

This guy would laugh at everything you do.

Sometimes, he would even join in on whatever you're doing. It makes you feel giddy on the inside.

When asked about you, he would speak very fondly of you. He really does admire you.

You also admire him, and you wish that you could tell him how much.

Neither of you would be brave enough to make the first move, and it would drive everyone crazy.

Especially the other BTOB members.

He would also be staring at you whenever you weren't looking, but it wouldn't be in a creepy way. It's because he thinks you're beautiful, and he can't help himself.

You wouldn't notice, but the people on Twitter definitely would.

Peniel

He has known you for a long time, so he's glad that both of you get to be judges on the show.

Is very comfortable talking to you, and neither of you feel the need to speak properly to each other; It's just something you're not used to with him.

Both of you know English, so when you want to mess around and make the other judges frustrated you just have full on Enlgish conversations in front of them.

It's also a good thing that you're both very close, because it makes it easier to work together once you're both assigned to write and produce one of the songs for the show's finale.

You guys are at his studio for hours. You have to force yourselves to stop at some point, in order to finally eat a proper meal.

It's probably the most time you've spent together in a single day, ever.

At one point, you end up falling asleep on Peniel's shoulder. He does nothing to pull away, probably because of the fact that he's also sleeping.

Although it gets tough, you guys manage to come up with the perfect song, and you're both so proud.

You feel even prouder when the finale comes around and you see the performance. You and Peniel were wiping imaginary tears away, to let the trainees know how much you loved it. Barely any criticism was necessary.

It made you realize how much you really loved working with Peniel, and you were looking forward to doing so again, soon.

Ilhoon

You and Ilhoon meet for the very first time on the show, and you hit it off from the very beginning.

You like how he knows so much about music, and how he is so good at noticing every single detail in the performances.

He can be a bit strict with the trainees sometimes, but It’s not in a malicious way. He really does care about them.

He likes your brightness, your ability to make everyone smile so easily.

You both talk the most when there's a commercial break going on; It's mostly small talk about the trainees that have caught your attention the most, but it soon develops into something bigger.

You find out that Ilhoon is actually really funny as the show progresses, and that he can get very, very flirty as well.

With you, specifically.

It's not like you mind it, but sometimes you're afraid of mistaking his flirting with his humor, so you try to be as casual about it as possible.

You cannot deny that he makes you nervous, though. In a good way.

Sungjae

Professionalism? He has not heard about such thing when it comes to teasing you on the show.

It's a constant playful bickering between the two of you, but fans of the show find it very entertaining.

They also don't miss the chance to point out the fact that you two are unaware of how much you like each other.

Even your friends talk about it in the group chat, but you deny it like your life depends on it.

Sungjae, on the other hand, loves to feed into it.

"Yes, I do think that Y/N likes me, and that's why they can't get enough of me." He would say once the host asked him if what people are saying is true.

But you wouldn't keep quiet. "I think It's Sungjae who likes me, because he keeps teasing me, and he is probably too afraid to admit it."

Everyone would laugh at Sungjae's look of defeat, including yourself.

However, it does seem to work in your favor, because once the show ends Sungjae ends up asking you out (but he swears It’s not a date).

You surprise yourself by accepting his invitation.

Now imagine this :

You and Minhyuk is a childhood friend. You two are neighbour actually. You've seen each other before you can even remember.

You guys used to go to and go back from school together. You were so excited when playing together at the park nearby.

Both of you seeing each other growing up. And even you guys have the same interest in music. The first instrument that you played is piano, while Minhyuk started it with guitar. You join a school band with him. Even did a busking sometimes. Writing lyrics, rearranging, covering a song were your and his daily routine.

Not only good at music, Minhyuk was very famous. At the senior high school everyone just seemed to be attracted with him. He's kind, gorgeous, and soft. The girls wanted to be his gf and the boys would invite him to every party. Moreover, he's smart and athletic. Just perfect! And one day, he had to give a speech for a school anniversary project. Even with all of those fans and fame he got, he still took you around with him in many ways. Even as an "amateur photographer" just to make you stick with him. And of course, you never say no.

Sadly, he had to move to another town for college. But you can't spell sweetness without Minhyuk! He sent a message even sometimes his selfie only to show you what he did when he did. Sometimes just a picture of him otw to his campus, but that's enough to brighten up your day

In a holiday season, he couldn't go home because of something. So he insisted to make a video call. "I just wanna a small conversation", he texted. But when the camera is on, you realized that he didn't change! You couldn't help but noticed he hadn't shave, so you laughed. "Ahjussi! You must be so busy lately. HAHAHA". And that's it! You guys just easily got clicked again even after a long time. That small conversation become 2 hours long video call.

He shared everything. Including the moment when his brother moved to a new apartment. It's not even his, but still sharing with you is his favorite thing. "Look! Even after years he's still taller than me!"

You just sent a LOL emoji because you laughed so hard that can't even type. And then you replied, "When will we met again?"

Mornings With You

Sometimes waking up every morning is the hardest thing to do.

Lee Minhyuk x OC

The alarm clock made its way into my unconsciousness, effectively ruining whatever good dream I had. Groaning, I slammed it off and tried to sit up. However, my movements were halted when I realised that there was an arm wrapped tightly around my waist; unmoving and unwilling to let me go. Tracing the arm to its owner, I turned my body and saw that my boyfriend was still sound asleep, snoring slightly next to me. Since the comeback period was over, he would often spend his free time lazing around or going out with his friends when I was at work.

I tried to free myself from him again but that movement caused him to subconsciously flex and tighten his grip. I sighed and leaned over him. Stretching a finger, I jabbed him none too lightly in his arm to wake him up.

“Babe,” I whispered.

No response. I poked him again and continued to do so until I heard his groan. Instead of stirring awake, he kept his eyes closed and pretended to be asleep. Giggling, I rolled my eyes and studied his handsome face that was clearly feigning sleep. While waiting for him to release me, I traced my finger along his nose bridge and flicked his nostrils lightly. He wrinkled his nose, yet the arm remained where it was. Brushing my hair to the side of my neck, I lowered my head and gave a peck on his cheek. Still no reaction. I trailed soft kisses down his jaw and all over his face. When my lips touched the corner of his, I felt his smile before seeing it.

Clearly he was awake. “This wasn’t what I had in mind…” I muttered under my breath. I heard his chuckle as he gripped my wrist tighter and pulled me closer to his side.

“Minhyuk, babe, love… I’m going to be late,” I whined, even as I reluctantly glanced at the digital clock on the side table.

“Mmm… five more minutes?” he bargained, his voice deep and hoarse with sleep. Even though we were entering our fifth year together, I could never resist the way his voice sent warm tingles down my spine. As if he knew the effect that he had on me, he buried his head closer to the back of my neck and simply… breathed. Then, he closed the small space and pressed a light kiss.

“Mmm… don’t,” I warned him half-heartedly. Aware that my words would not have any effect on him, I twisted around to face him. His eyelids were half-lowered and his cute front teeth peeped out from his half-opened lips. With his messy hair that fell over his eyes, it gave an overall innocent and peaceful look on him.

And he knew it.

Slowly, as if he felt my gaze on him, his eyelids fluttered open and his face brightened up. Stretching his lips into a lazy smile, he asked, “Did I manage to persuade you to stay home with me?”

“Unfortunately, no. I can’t be late, Minhyuk.” I tapped his nose teasingly. With a small groan, he pushed himself nearer and buried his face into my chest.

He sighed. “Can’t you call in sick?”

I chuckled when I heard the pout in his voice. Resting my chin on the top of his head, I tried to pacify him.

“I’ll be back real soon, okay? I really have to go. There’s a very important meeting today,” I explained slowly and gently. At the same time, I lifted my hand up and brushed his hair.

He pulled back to look at me in the face. “No more working late?”

“Not tonight. Tonight’s especially for you.” I chuckled when his smile deepened, clearly satisfied with my response.

Slowly, he pulled his arms away and set me free. Hurriedly, I spent whatever little time that I had to wash up and get ready for work. Realising that I barely had time for my morning coffee, I made my way to the kitchen while tying my hair up in a ponytail. Surprisingly, Minhyuk was standing by the coffee maker. Grinning, he slid me a cup of freshly made coffee. I pecked his cheek as thanks and downed it slowly. While I drank my coffee, I peered over the rim of the cup and admired my boyfriend’s bare chest. On any other days, I would have hugged him and kept my hands on the waistband of his pyjama pants. Pity, today was not such a day.

I turned around to see him packing a box of egg-mayo sandwich into a lunch bag. “Is that for me?” I asked as I took another sip of the coffee.

“You think?” he countered playfully as he zipped the bag up.

Once he was done, he picked the bag up and placed it by my arm. Then he hugged me from behind and rested his chin on my shoulder. “Of course it’s for you, dummy. It’s filled with my love so you will think of me when you have your lunch.” To punctuate his point, he kissed the top of my head and patted it twice.

“Love you too,” I replied, grinning. However, our sweet moment would have to wait. I gulped the rest of the coffee down and placed the cup on the table. “Okay, I really got to go now,” I said, turning around to hug him goodbye.

His arms remained by his side as he pouted, silently protesting my actions. With a laugh, I kissed his pursed lips. “Cheer up, you’ll see me soon.”

“Not soon enough.”

Nevertheless, he took the empty cup and placed it in the sink. At the same time, I collected the lunch bag and my handbag. As I slipped into my heels at the doorway, he played around and tried to keep my car keys out of my reach. After giving him another kiss, he placed them reluctantly in my hand.

“Be good, then I’ll come back early,” I teased. Just as I was about to unlock the front door, he tapped on his cheek. With a dramatic sigh, I stepped closer to give him his goodbye kiss but he turned his head and caught my lips with his instead.

I tsked. “Sneaky”

“I’m missing you already.”

I gave a light peck on the tip of his nose. “Me too. Tonight, yeah?”
