"maybe i'm the problem" - osamu dazai x gn!reader
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
pairing - dazai x gn!reader
warnings/contents - kissing, angst, death related subjects
summary - amongst the 3 way war starting, you and dazai had gotten into a fight. a visitor had came to ada (armed detective agency) and exposed dazai's past (when he was in port mafia). you got filled up with anger after finally knowing who he "truly" is. kunikida had sent you both to lure in the ability user who attacked the president but you refused to go with dazai, leading him to get shot by a sniper. later, kunikida breaks the news about to you about dazai undergoing surgery and you couldn't help but carry the guilt for not going to protect him.
story under the cut !
a/n : my first story ! so i hope you guys enjoy it :)
Tumblr media
"dazai! someones here to see you!" atsushi announced as he laid as stack of paper onto his desk. "already? it's only 10 in the morning.." he complained, getting up followed by a strech.
"it's a lady, she said she's known you for a while, she said she was hoping to reunite with you, but i don't know if she's telling the truth.." atsushi sighed as he kicked his feet back onto his desk and slumped back into his chair.
"oh! we're still going together later right? to lure out fyodor with his attack on the president right?" you asked dazai as your gaze fixated at the door then to dazai.
"yeah! i can't wait to see what he has up his sleeves" dazai snickered as he shoved his hands in his pockets. "oh, do you wanna come with? i don't wanna go by myself," dazai pouted.
"sure- just let me get these last few sentences in for our report from yesterday and then i'll be ready to go with you" you chuckled.
you and dazai weren't offcially together, but you felt that there was something going on between you two. the whole agency knew about you and dazai being close so they paired you guys up to be partners along with kunikida and atsushi. if the agency heard you and dazai saying that you two didn't have anything going on between you two, they would be in denial since you two would always do couple things with each other.
you even agreed to do a double suicide with dazai.
Tumblr media
"hi there! i'm dazai and this is y/n!" dazai greeted as he smiled at the woman in front of you two.
"i'm here to tell you about his past- how he's murdered people, committed fraud." the lady spat, hearing those words come out of her mouth left you shocked. you felt confused and you felt like the man right next to you was someone you've never known.
"dazai- what is she talking-" you turned to him for an anwer, anger filled up you up and it slowly felt that your heart was getting torn apart.
"we've known each other for years. i don't know why you're acting like we haven't met before osamu dazai" the lady interrupted you.
"but it exactly is what you think. aren't you his lover? the person he trusts with his whole life in your hands? i'm surprised he hasn't told you that he was in port mafia," the woman scoffed.
the woman had laid pictures all out for you to look at. it was dazai in a black suit and black coat holding his gun at a lifeless body.
"y/n, it's not what you think-" dazai paused as he looked at you but you interrupted him with a slap across his face.
his face was left with a mark from your hands, you stormed off from the room and headed back to the agency with a heavy heart. you slammed open the agency door and ran to the first person you saw, Atsushi.
"y/n what happend!" atsushi yelped at the surprise you were crying.
"he's so stupid!" you sobbed. atsushi opened his arms and wrapped them around your figure.
"i didn't- i didn't know that" you hiccupped. "i didn't know that he was in port mafia!" you coughed up the words with your tears running down your eyes.
"whaat! dazai was in port mafia?!" atsushi gasped. he hugged you tighter as you sobbed on his shoulders.
"he's so stupid!" you continued as more tears fell down your face. "i- i love him! and i was really stupid-- stupid enough to think that he f-felt the same way!" you continued.
"he's so stupid! he could've sat me down and explained to me what had happened but- but... i had to find it out this way..." you ranted, mumbling your last words.
"and i- i was the last person to k-know!"
atsushi was at a loss for words, he didn't know what to do or what to say. all he could do was offer his arms and his shoulder for you to cry in and on.
Tumblr media
you locked yourself in your apartment for about a few days not knowing what was happening outside. you stopped showing up to work because you felt that you needed to avoid dazai.
you went radio silent towards the agency. every now and then atsushi would let himself in and he would make you food, even begging you and feeding you to eat because he knows that you should be eating.
you thought that it was dazai's job to do that, but it was atsushi.
you were hoping that dazai would stop by your apartment to explain what happened that day that woman came to the agency and to clear things up with you and to explain what he did in the past.
you then heard knocking on the door, in excitement and nervousness, you forced yourself up from your living room couch.
you looked thought the peephole to see if dazai was standing out your door, but it was one of the last people you expected to see at your door.
you had no clue about the 3 way war happening either. not until you found kunikida knocking on your door, desperate for you to come out. "y/n please open the door! it's important! it's about the president and dazai," kunikida pleaded.
"y/n.. things are getting serious.." he paused. "dazai got attacked on his mission by a sniper and he's currently undergoing surgery-"
After hearing those words, you felt nothing but guilt.
Tumblr media
After Dazai had gotten shot and undergone surgery, he was unconscious for a few days. You couldn't leave his side, you were too worried to be fighting. You worried about him being attacked in the hospital but that was a low possibility of actually happening.
You were sitting in Dazai's hospital room staring at his face hoping and praying that he would wake up soon. It had only been a two days since he's been unconscious and you were starting to get worried for him. Worried that he wouldn't be able to wake up.
Just the thought of not him not being able to wake up, haunted you. you carried the guilt for seeing him the way he was, because he went alone on the mission that was assigned to the both of you.
You got up and sighed, leaving his room to grab a drink from the vending machine down the hallway. You stopped in front of his room and took a seat on the sofa next to his door. You opened up your water bottle, you took a sip, sighed again, and looked up at the ceiling.
You continued to wonder if he was going to wake up soon.
'Only if I had gone' were the words that repeated again and again in your head.
You two weren't together together, but your heart aches at the thought of him being hurt and alone. You sighed again and took another sip before going back into his room.
You walked back into Dazai's room, your jaw hung low and you were shocked. You walked into the room to find Dazai sitting up and his head turning towards the door, finding you standing right in front of him.
You dropped your half-drank water bottle, your heart skipped a beat and all your anxiety was wiped away after seeing him awake.
You ran and wrapped your arms around Dazai's neck, almost knocking him back down to his pillow. "calm down, belladonna" you heard dazai chuckle into your ear.
You felt as if you found your other half again, tears then formed at your eyes, "I'm so glad your awake," You sobbed.
Dazai had never seen you cry before. Seeing you this way was all new to him, he was shocked that you were even there to see him since the last time you two talked was when you both had that one-sided argument.
You blamed yourself for Dazai getting into the condition he was in right now. You blamed yourself day and night even although you knew he was going to be okay (from what the doctors told you), it was just that the guilt couldn't escape you.
"Hey it's okay, I'm okay," He whispered. "I'm here now," he continued. You two pulled away from the hug and Dazai cupped your cheeks and wiped away your tears from falling.
"You dummy," He chuckled, you gave him a warm smile in response. You sat down at the edge of his bed and explained the whole situation to him.
"Shouldn't you be out there fighting with them?"
You shook your head in response, then smiled softly at him. "I really couldn't..." You mumbled. "the moment I heard you were undergoing surgery-"
"My heart started to ache.." You mumbled again.
"Awww! Someone actually does care for me!" Dazai laughed.
"I do not!" you retorted back at him. "You sure do, belladonna"
"I told myself that I wouldn't leave your side until you woke up-" You finally told him. You looked down at the floor and there were tears foaming at your eyes again. The guilt washed over you again and you couldn't even lift your head up to look at dazai.
You clenched your hands into fists then you gripped your skirt, tears started to fall again. "I'm sorry for fighting with you the other day-"
"O-only if I had given you a chance-" You choked on your words. "only if i d-didn't act that way- only if i had gone with you-" You continued to sob, "Only if i had gone with you, you wouldn't be here"
He reached out for your face to cup your cheeks in his hands. He smiled at you then explained to you what he did in port mafia and why he did it. "I'm just really glad that you're here now,"
"to be frank, i'm actually surprised your here to see me, i wasn't expecting you to come since i had a feeling that you would still be mad at m-"
"because" you interrupted him.
"i came because-" you paused, you felt your words clogging up your throat again and you couldn't let them out.
"i came because i love you, dazai!" you finally blurted out as you looked up to see dazai's facial expression. You watched his eyes widen and his ears turn red.
After a few minutes, you expected him to say something but there was just complete silence. Dazai spaced out on your words and it was just repeating in his head.
You grabbed his hand resting your thumb on top of his to caress his hand. "Osamu- please say some-" You paused. He cut you off by pressing his lips against yours, his hand leaving your hand to cup your face.
"Well, you're in luck because I love you too," He admitted, pulling you in for another kiss. Your heart fluttered, you were waiting for the moment you were his and he was yours.
"Can I be your boyfriend?" He asked as he pulled you in for another kiss.
"Maybe?" You questioned, smiling into another kiss.
"What do you mean 'maybe'– it's a yes or no question!" Dazai complained as he pouted, crossing his arms right infront of you.
He laid down then patted the empty sppot next to him, he watched you go around his bed and he pulled you up to his head to make you the bigger spoon. You pressed a kiss on his nose and he nuzzled his face into your chest with his arms wrapping around your waist.
a nurse came in to see how dazai was doing, but then quickly left as soon as they realized that he finally had woken up. after a couple of minutes, you and dazai dozed off in eachothers arms.
"DAZAI! I HEARD YOUR AWAKE!" Kunikida yelled as he barged into the room along with atsushi beside him, "Dazai–San! Are you doing better?!" Atsushi asked as they both rushed into his room.
There was no response. Then there it was, silence again. Atsushi analyzed Dazai and the extra figure there. his eyes brightened when they realized you two had made up.

So sorry to bother. I hope you are having a good day/night. Could you write Fyodor and Dazai who met and is dating S/O who is a young mom? sorry if it’s weird and sorry if it makes you uncomfortable. You don’t have to write it.
Hello! I really hope these are okay ❤️
Tumblr media
【Fyodor Dostoevsky】
At first, he’s a little apprehensive about it. He doesn’t dislike children, but he’s never really been around them. Adults are easy read, but children are something of an enigma to him.
Their minds are curious, and they tend to just say and do whatever without really thinking about it, and often times, he can’t predict either, and he doesn’t like that.
Still, he’s dating you, and takes interest in every aspect of your life - despite the fact he knows a lot just by observing you.
Even though he finds children unpredictable, he has learned how to take care of them, if only for you. He’ll crouch down, making sure he’s at their level when speaking with them. His calm disposition works in his favour a lot, and he knows how to speak to them.
He’d be more than happy to sit with you and your child, reading to the both of you, or playing the cello.
Tumblr media
【Osamu Dazai】
When you met, he had an inkling that you had a child, and, much like Fyodor, he’s also a little apprehensive at first, but he’s a lot more open minded. He’s happy to sit and listen to you talk about your child. He sees how happy they make you, and how amazing you’re doing, despite your age.
He can tell just how much you really adore your child, and there’s a part of him that’s a little jealous of that fact, but he holds no malice.
He enjoys the time he spends with you, he’s drawn to you, like a moth to a flame, and as such, he’s eager to be apart of your life.
When the time is right, you find he’s really good with your child when he meets them. His playful and cheery disposition come in handy. Any game your child wants to play? Dazai will happily play it with them.
Dazai also insists on doing things as a three, when it’s possible of course, though he does enjoy the private dates you two get to go on.

There's a Will; There's a Way Christmas Special 2023
Dazai Osamu x Reader
Chuuya Nakahara x OC
Mouse Note: Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays, everyone! I hope you guys like this little chapter!
“Merry Christmas!” said (Y/N), opening the door and letting Chuuya and Akira in. “Dinner’s almost ready.”
“Please tell me the Mackerel isn’t the one cooking,” said Chuuya as he glanced at the kitchen of the apartment in horror.
“Don’t worry, I made him swear not to poison your food,” said (Y/N), smiling.
Chuuya huffed gruffly but nodded in thanks. He and (Y/N) had a strange relationship to one another, but they mutually cared about Akira (and (Y/N) kept Dazai from causing Chuuya more trouble than usual), so they liked each other. (Though (Y/N) had insinuated to Chuuya that if he hurt Akira again she would use her gift and all of One Order’s power to destroy him, so Chuuya was a little worried Dazai was rubbing off on her).
“You’re so thoughtful,” said Akira, hugging (Y/N) and kissing her cheeks. “What would we do without you?”
(Y/N) smiled. “You all would be alright, I’m sure.”
“I’m pretty sure Akira would be dead by now,” remarked Chuuya.
            Akira chuckled. “He’s not wrong.”
            (Y/N) sweat-dropped. Unfortunately.
“Chuuuuuya~” said Dazai, sliding out of the kitchen in fuzzy socks. He had an apron on that said “Kiss the Cook” and a santa hat on his heat. “Merry Christmas!” He lunged to hug Chuuya, and Chuuya used his ability to flip himself into the air and crouch on the ceiling so Dazai missed.
“Chuuya, get down here and let Dazai hug you. It’s Christmas,” said Akira.
“No,” said Chuuya. “You just want me to suffer.”
Akira grinned. “It’s kind of funny.”
“Come on down, Chuuya!” said Dazai, jumping and trying to reach Chuuya. “Let me give you a Christmas hug!”
“Dazai,” said (Y/N) with a sigh.
Dazai pouted. “I want to hug him.”
“No, you want to throttle him,” said (Y/N), rolling her eyes. “I’m only asking him to come down if you promise to actually be nice.”  She gazed at Dazai intently. “You want me to have a nice Christmas, don’t you.”
            Dazai caved instantly. “Absolutely.”
“That’s adorable, he listens to you,” said Akira.
            “Well, I don’t,” said Chuuya.
“What if I asked you to come down?” asked Akira.
Chuuya deadpanned, and Akira shrugged with a laugh. “Fair enough.”
(Y/N) smiled and looked up at Chuuya. A green glow appeared around him.
            Chuuya froze. “Wait—”
He was pulled to the ground by (Y/N)’s gift and landed right in Dazai’s waiting arms. He squawked unceremoniously and tried to pull away, but Dazai hugged him tightly.
Akira threw her arm around (Y/N)’s shoulders. “You know something?”
“What?” said (Y/N), watching her and Akira’s boyfriends in amusement.
“You’re the matriarch of this family,” said Akira.
“No, I’m just not as crazy as you guys,” said (Y/N), smiling. She leaned her best friend/sister’s shoulder. “But don’t worry. I like you guys this way.”
            Akira smiled.
l
After dinner (during which Chuuya was not poisoned by Dazai), the group cleaned up and then sat down to exchange gifts.
“Alright, I’ll go first,” said Akira, holding up a gift. “This is for Dazai.”
“I get something?” he said in surprise.
            “Yep!” said Akira.
Dazai eagerly opened the gift and lifted a box full of multicolored bandages out. He started laughing out loud at the joke gift. “Thanks.”
Akira shrugged with a smirk. “Knew you’d like a laugh.” She tossed another gift to Chuuya. “Here!”
Chuuya caught it and opened it up. It was a brand-new harness for him in Akira’s signature red. “It’s high-quality,” he said, surprised.
“I make money,” said Akira, grinning. “And I like spoiling my boyfriend so that he’ll look good.” She winked.
Chuuya turned red and rolled his eyes. “Yeah, yeah.”
“And finally, (Y/N)!” said Akira happily, handing over her final gift.
“This is going to be her most thoughtful, isn’t it?” murmured Dazai to Chuuya.
“(Y/N)’s her favorite,” said Chuuya, nodding.
            “Fair enough,” said Daza.
(Y/N) opened her box and held up a pale green dress. “Oh, it’s beautiful, Akira!”
“I remembered you liked it,” said Akira, smiling. “And we have a girl’s day coming up with tea and brunch, so why shouldn’t we dress up?”
(Y/N) grinned. “Exactly!” There was nothing better than dressing up with her best friend and spending the day spoiling themselves (and then fighting over who got to pay for who when since they both wanted to spoil the other).
Akira leaned over to Dazai as (Y/N) turned to grab her gifts. “You know, that dress would look great with a ring.”
Dazai blinked in surprise and looked at Akira, but before he could respond, (Y/N) was ready to hand out her presents.
“Here you go, Akira,” she said.
Akira opened it and smiled. It was a set of wine glasses with painted designs of dragons and flames. “I love them!” she said.
(Y/N) smiled. “I hoped you would.” She reached out and handed Chuuya a gift. “And I have something for you, Chuuya.”
Chuuya was surprised, but he opened it up. It was a photo framed in gold and red with Akira and Chuuya in an actually sweet moment within. He smiled softly. “Thanks.”
“You’re welcome, Chuuya,” said (Y/N). She turned to Dazai. “And for you.”
“Thank you, love,” he said, taking his gift and opening it. He smiled softly. He wouldn’t lift it to show everyone, but it was a book with a cover in the same styles of his “ways to commit you-know-what” book. However, the title was “Reasons I love You.” It was sweet, and his hands trembled a little with emotion as he held it. “Thank you, (Y/N),” he said, gazing at her.
She smiled softly, knowing what he was thinking. “Of course, Dazai.” Then, to save him from having to feel emotionally vulnerable, she looked at Chuuya. “How about you go next?”
Chuuya nodded. “Alright.” He held out a gift to Dazai. “Here, Mackerel.”
Dazai pretended to be shocked. “For me?!”
“Like you didn’t already see I had three gifts,” huffed Chuuya.
Dazai grinned and just opened his gift. “Is this my old gun?” he said.
“This is reminder that if you ever make me have to pull that stupid stunt of pretending to shoot you again, I’m actually going to do it,” said Chuuya.
(Y/N) furrowed her brow in confusion. “What?”
“He didn’t tell you about Meursalt?” asked Chuuya.
“No,” said (Y/N). She turned to Dazai, and he coughed in confusion. “You nearly got shot?”
            “In the head,” said Chuuya.
“I wasn’t actually shot,” said Dazai. Seeing (Y/N)’s worried face, he reached over and squeezed her hand guiltily and looked at Chuuya. “Uh, how about you keep giving out your presents? What about your one for (Y/N)?”
“I can’t believe I’m saving your ass,” said Chuuya, but he handed over the gift anyways.
(Y/N) sighed at Dazai before opening her gift from Chuuya. She brightened. “Oh, thank you, Chuuya!” She held up the stack of books Chuuya had gifted her.
He nodded. “Akira mentioned you’d been looking for them.” And he was trying to make a good impression on Akira’s basically-sister. There wasn’t much family to impress (no way in hell was he telling his boss he was dating his daughter), but (Y/N) meant a lot to Akira (and was a very powerful person in Yokohama) so he wanted to show that he was thoughtful.
“And this is for you, Akira,” said Chuuya, handing over a box.
Akira opened it and smiled. “It’s beautiful, Chuuya.” It was a painting of a woman standing in the midst of flames. It was very Akira-esque.
“I saw it, and it reminded me of you,” said Chuuya.
“Aw, thanks!” said Akira, turning a bit pink.
(Y/N) and Dazai exchanged looks. Not many people would be flattered by hearing that they remind someone of arson and rage, but female rage sounded like Akira.
“I guess it’s my turn,” said Dazai, picking up his three gifts and distributing them.
Akira opened hers and laughed. She and Dazai had both done joke gifts for one another. Hers was a harness and a hat to match with Chuuya. “I love it!”
Chuuya grinned at Dazai. “The jokes on you, I’m not embarrassed, I’m going to love seeing her in that.”
“With probably little else,” whispered Akira to (Y/N), and she laughed.
Chuuya opened his next and rolled his eyes. “Are these heels?”
“Because you’re so small,” said Dazai brightly.
“I think he’ll look great in heels,” said Akira, smiling.
(Y/N) shook her head and chuckled. For all their playful banter, Akira and Chuuya had a strong relationship that had overcome a lot, and they liked one another. It was cute.
“(Y/N), love, open yours,” said Dazai.
“Alright, alright,” chuckled (Y/N). She opened her gift, and her breath caught. “Oh, Dazai, I love it.” It was a painting recreating a photograph taken at the last celebrating the ADA had. It was all of (Y/N)’s friends (and Akira) standing together and smiling and happy.
            “Merry Christmas, love,” he said.
(Y/N) hugged him tightly, and Dazai smiled, kissed her cheek, and held her back. Akira smiled and rested her head on Chuuya’s shoulder. He smiled and kissed her forehead.
A Merry Christmas indeed to this little family.

Sigchuuzai headcanon - Sigma having scars on his neck
TWs: Major Spoilers for Sigma’s backstory, mentions of slavery, description of injuries
Takes place in my BSD Fix-It AU (post-DoA arc). Sigma is a member of the ADA here and lives together with Chuuya and Dazai in an apartment.
The main reason why Sigma wears turtleneck sweaters is so he can hide the scars which go all around his throat.
The scars are from the time where he was kept as a slave at the organization which captured him in the desert and who used him for his ability. Back then was always wearing a heavy and tight shackle/metal collar around his neck which left his skin bruised and scarred.
When Fyodor told Nikolai to get rid of it after Fyodor took Sigma into the Decay of Angels, the skin underneath the metal had been irritated, red and bloody and there where the edges of the collar had been, the skin was bruised and had little cuts due to the metal being uneven and with sharp edges.
While the irritations and the bruises would disappear slowly after weeks, the cuts and bloody areas became scars.
They are very faint and one would probably only see them if they focused explicitly on his neck but for them, they will always point out. Whenever they wear something which isn’t covering their throat, they will feel as if the scars would be the first thing everyone would see when looking at them. Like they would be some colorful sign used for advertisement which blinks with obnoxiously bright lights.
Even after he exchanged his old outfit for a new one after he joined the ADA, he kept wearing a turtleneck sweater.
Of course, Dazai noticed that no matter which outfit Sigma would wear, his throat would be covered with something. A turtleneck sweater, a scarf, even in summer Sigma would find ways to cover his neck in a stylish way.
He would never ask about it though, not wanting to make his partner uncomfortable or make them feel pressured to tell him. If Sigma wanted to tell him, he would be there but Sigma should come to him out of his own will, when he felt ready and comfortable.
Chuuya did the same. He too wouldn’t confront Sigma about it but in secret, he and Dazai were a bit worried about them.
Of course Dazai thought about possible answers to Sigma always covering his throat but he never did some research about the others' past. He knew a bit about it from what Fyodor told him when they both had been at Meursault but he didn’t know in depth details or what happened in this year before Fyodor found Sigma.
Even after work, when Sigma was alone with Chuuya and Dazai at their shared apartment, he would still always cover his throat. To bed, he would usually wear a kerchief, praying that neither Dazai nor Chuuya would ask him about it.
During their first night together at the apartment, Chuuya did in fact ask Sigma if he was feeling well and Dazai asked him if he felt sick or had a sore throat but after Sigma told them that this wasn’t the case, the other two simply exchanged a glance and never asked about it again.
It stayed like this for months until one evening, Dazai accidentally saw Sigma without his neck covered.
He forgot to knock before entering their bedroom despite the door being closed due to being way too caught up in thought.
He was startled out of his thoughts when the pillow which Sigma threw hit his face
He quickly apologized and left the room as quickly as he came but he actually didn’t even look at Sigma’s neck. Out of reflex he looked away as quick as he could and didn’t even think about stealing a glance out of curiosity.
However when Sigma came to him into the living room and sat down next to him on the couch where Dazai had been waiting until he could go into their bedroom to change a few minutes later, Sigma seemed incredibly nervous and when he asked Dazai if he saw “them”, he wouldn’t stop unconsciously  picking at his fingers.
Dazai was completely caught off guard and gently took his partner's hands into his, asking what he meant.
He was already ready for Sigma standing up, hitting him with “nothing” and quickly walking away, telling him to forget it but instead of doing so, Sigma would take a shaky breath, pointing at his neck which was uncovered.
That Sigma had scars on his neck was one of the possibilities which Dazai considered but seeing that this really was the case, made Dazai’s heart sink a bit.
He just replied that he didn’t see them but he also thanked him for showing them to him, since he remembered that this was what Chuuya said when Dazai showed him his scars for the first time.
Sigma just nodded.
There was a long, heavy and awkward silence between them afterwards. Dazai didn’t dare to ask them the story behind the scars and Sigma didn’t dare to say anything, anxious thoughts filling up his mind.
However, Dazai wouldn’t let go of the other’s cold and shaky hands, gently caressing the back of them with his thumbs and squeezing them reassuringly.
Sigma was the one to break the silence, telling Dazai about the organization, the slavery, his time in the desert, the metal collar, what they made him do and everything else.
His voice was shaky and sometimes his voice would crack while his eyes were filled with tears.
Dazai listened to him quietly, holding his hands.
He didn’t show it, but hearing about what happened and what they did to him, made him feel more anger than he felt for months.
After Sigma finished telling him, Dazai quietly thanked him for telling him all of this.
Afterwards there was a short silence before Dazai pulled Sigma into a tight hug, which Sigma quickly returned.
They clinged to Dazai as if their life would depend on him as they couldn’t hold the tears back anymore
Dazai held them, burying his face in the crook of Sigma’s neck, telling them that they didn’t deserve all of this but also telling them that they stilled looked beautiful with the scars visible and he reassured him that he loved him (and Chuuya) more than anything in the whole world.
He also thanked him once again for the trust to tell him about it.
He let Sigma cry as much as they needed to, not letting go of them.
Sigma felt as if a whole mountain got lifted off his heart. He had never talked about this with anyone and showed his scars to nobody and even if he knew that there had been no reason to feel that way, he had been scared of the reaction of Dazai and Chuuya. Now that at least one of them knew about it and after being able to finally talk about it with someone dear to him, it genuinely  felt as if tons of weight were lifted off his heart.
He apologized to Dazai between his sobs, telling him that he had wanted to tell him and Chuuya about it much earlier but that he had been scared to do so.
Dazai quickly shushed him, replying that everything was alright and that that wasn’t something he should feel sorry about and that he didn’t need to apologize for which Sigma thanked him and hugged Dazai even tighter if that was even possible.
They sat there for quite some time like that, holding each other and Dazai letting Sigma cry it all out until Chuuya suddenly came into the living room.
The redhead had been at work until evening and when he came home, he immediately noticed that something was wrong
When he found Sigma and Dazai in the living room like that, he felt his heart squeeze in his chest, quickly going to them, asking what happened, his voice thick with worry.
Sigma flinched upon hearing Chuuya’s voice, not having noticed that he came home and entered the living room already but relaxed quickly again.
Dazai just looked up to his partner with a small smile, greeting him and telling him that everything is alright again.
Sigma then looked up too, pointing at his throat and telling Chuuya that they’ve been talking about those.
Upon seeing the scars, Chuuya showed more openly his small shock and worry before sitting down next to his partners.
Sigma then proceeded to tell him everything he told Dazai too and while it was still hard for him to do so, it was much easier this time. He also apologized to him too but Chuuya told him the same as Dazai did.
He then thanked Sigma too for their trust and for telling him before pulling them in a hug.
Chuuya too had teary eyes after hearing what happened.
He not only told Sigma how much he loved him but he also mumbled that he will find the people who did this to him and that he will make them suffer just as much as they made him suffer.
Sigma looked at him a bit shocked but before he could say anything, Dazai pulled Chuuya back into a hug, telling him that he didn’t have to do that and Sigma quickly joined their hug, thanking Chuuya and telling him that he genuinely appreciated it but that he really didn’t needed to do it.
For the rest of the evening they sat curled up together on the couch, not watching TV but just enjoying being in each other’s presence and Chuuya told Sigma quietly how beautiful he looked, making Sigma blush before telling Chuuya that he looked even more beautiful.
Dazai then proceeded to whine, telling them that he felt left out, making them both laugh before kissing Dazai which made him blush in a dark shade of red as well as stop working for a second.
Ever since that day, Sigma would only cover his neck during work and when they would go out but not at their apartment anymore.
Only during bad days where he felt more insecure again or when he couldn’t stand seeing the scars since they would always remind him about what happened he would cover them up with something.
Dazai and Chuuya both told him that while his scars remind him of this awful time, they are also a reminder and a proof that he managed to escape and that he survived it, that it’s over now and that he’s safe now and it makes him feel a bit better.
Chuuya showed him his pencil scar the very same day where he told them about his scars, telling him the history behind it.
Sigma might have cried a bit again, making Chuuya feel bad which made Sigma feel bad so they ended up hugging each other.
When Sigma feels bad about his scars again, Dazai or Chuuya (depending on who’s with him) sometimes kiss the scars lightly
They also sometimes do it during more intimate times.
To this day, it always makes Sigma feel better, safe and loved.
During the first time when Chuuya unexpectedly kissed Sigma’s scars, Sigma teared up a bit but not out of sadness or any other negative emotion. Simply because he felt so loved.
The only other person who know about the scars and their history is Ranpo because Ranpo is Ranpo and after a year in the ADA, Atsushi and Yosano know about it too since Yosano saw them while she treated Sigma after a mission and Atsushi knows it since Sigma trusted him enough to tell him about it.
Only like 2 years later, he finally stopped covering his throat all the time, feeling more and more secure in his body and in the ADA.
Chuuya and Dazai still want to make the members of the organization suffer.

♡ over time, you'll realize he's not as goofy and funny as he pretends to be.
♡ he might seem like some kind of "womanizer", a cheater, a player and a manipulator... and, to be quite honest, he is. But not with you.
♡ once he actually falls in love with someone (which is nearly impossible), there's no turning back.
♡ he barely trusts anyone and he finds it really hard to express his true emotions, specially when he's feeling down (and that's 99% of the time). If you try hard enough, he might open up a bit to you, but it's going to be a veeeeeery long process.
♡ if you're going to date Dazai, you should be ready for endless pranks, su*cidal jokes, dumb pickup lines, lots of procrastinating and having to deal with his silly mood in public. But, despite all of that, he knows when he needs to be serious.
♡ he's deeply depressed, although he tries to hide it as much as possible. Be patient. Help him clean up, remind him to take a shower from time to time and to change his bandages, brush his hair when he's too drained to do it, make sure his sleeping schedule isn't too bad... overall, just try to make his life a little bit easier. Deep down, he's exhausted and all these small things can be way too much for him to handle on his own. Remember, depression takes away all of your energy.
♡ he will never be completely honest with you, and that's something you have to acknowledge. It's nothing personal, he just doesn't feel comfortable enough with anyone. He's so used to lying about how he really feels that sometimes he just can't tell the truth.
♡ if you actually get him to open up a little, listen to every single word he says and never judge him for it. Help him as much as you can, and, please, get this boy some therapy.
♡ when it comes to physical touch, he's more than happy to give and recieve all kinds of affection. He'll ask you to sit on his lap while he's working, he'll hold your hand when he's walking next to you, he'll BEG you to play with his hair... but never, NEVER, touch him under the bandages.
♡ he'll have at least 1 attempt per day, so don't freak out if you find him trying to h*ng himself, jump off a building or trying to dr*wn himself. Just help him out of it as fast as you can.
♡ at first, he used to make lots of jokes about how other women were super hot and how you could do a "su*cidal threesome", but when he realized how deeply in love with you he actually was he stopped, and now he only has eyes for you.
♡ don't forget how smart Dazai actually is. If you ever try to fool him, you'll get nothing out of it. He can't be lied to.
♡ if things work out well, Dazai will slowly become an excellent partner. Maybe you can even convince him that he's not as bad of a person as he thinks he is.
♡ last (but definitely not least), although he's usually a gentleman and a very romantic lover, you must have in mind he's pretty sadistic. Specially in bed. ;)

It just occured to me that this song is probably good Soukoku angst material:
youtube
I never thought about this song like that, but the hair colours and styles are similar, and that the brown-haired one is trying to kill himself, and the orange-haired one seems to be trying to keep the other alive, I think it could work?
(Also, if vocaloid hurts your sensitive ears like it often does mine, miy_yuu has a lovely cover.)
Some particularly good lines imo:
"You escaped, going to a beautiful heaven The price is This painless love"
"The thing that's keeping you alive The fact that it's always not yourself"
"Breathing gets difficult I'm waiting here At least with those hands, end this Babylon"
"Thinking of your broken body I feel like dying"
"The days we've thrown away And that painless shadow Once it's rusted We should remain as our separate selves Else everything repeat again"

Kunikida: Great, my whole morning is planned. Woke up at 6:30 am, and got here in time.
Dazai: I woke up 6:00 and got here earlier than you.
Ayatsuji: For you're information I wake up at 5:50 and go to work early because government can't live without my ability.
Y/n: Guess who woke up at 5:30 in the morning.
Atsushi:Are you okay?

I wonder if Chuuya joined the agency if he would be able to control corruption and stop it on his own. Like what would "All men are equal" do to his ability?
Either that or it would do absolutely nothing like with Osamu.

There's a Will; There's a Way (Book 4) Chapter Eighteen
Dazai Osamu x Fem! Reader
Chapter Eighteen: Protecting and Rescuing
Summary: (Y/N) faces vampires, and Dazai faces Chuuya.
Dazai and Sigma sunk beneath the water as explosions rocked the elevator from above. Fyodor was going above and beyond to rid himself of Dazai. Sigma gripped his mouth, feeling his breath running out.
Dazai pressed a hand to his shoulder. He patted his chest, and Sigma looked down, seeing the gun tucked into his vest. He raised it and fired, but it merely dented the walls of the elevator through the water.
Sigma’s chest lurched, and he had to keep from trying to breath. He was out of air. He looked up and saw the flames from the explosion had gone out. He moved upwards, but Dazai grabbed his hand and pulled him down before he breached the surface. For a moment, Sigma’s eyes widened in panic, and he felt the familiar fear for his life return.
But then he saw Dazai’s eyes. They weren’t murderous or treacherous. He was calmly trying to keep Sigma’s attention. He pointed up and shook his head, gesturing to his throat as if choking. Sigma understood. Dazai was saving him since the flames had used up the oxygen. He would suffocate if he tried to take a breath up there. Dazai had saved Sigma.
The lilac- and white-haired man felt his heart jump again. These detectives were all so different from the Decay of the Angel. They actually protected people…
Unfortunately, that wouldn’t save them from drowning, and that was the immediate concern. Still, Dazai seemed focused, and Sigma felt himself calm. The man had a plan. Dazai took the gun from Sigma’s hands and pushed out of the water. He shot at the vent above the elevator. He used Sigma’s back to launch farther up and grab the edge of the vent. Reaching in, Dazai shot the end of the vent, into the tensile wire controlling the elevator doors.
Sigma put all his strength into pulling the door open, and water gushed out. Sigma and Dazai heaved a deep breath as the water left the elevator and fresh oxygen rushed into the elevator.
“I’m alive,” breathed Sigma. He jerked up in alarm. “Dazai!”
He turned, but Dazai hung from the vent and gave him a thumbs-up. Sigma smiled in relief.
Then an explosion went off, and the elevator rocked. Dazai fell from the vent to the ground, and Sigma stumbled. The elevator fell downwards, and Dazai and Sigma braced themselves as they fell. Dazai grabbed Sigma and steeled himself.
“I did make a promise…That’d I’d get you out alive,” said Dazai.
He pushed Sigma out of the space in the door. Sigma turned in the air as he fell into a corridor.
Dazai smiled. “It’s up to you now.”
The elevator fell out of view, taking Dazai with it.
l
(Y/N) slowed as she saw a young girl above a tower alongside a strange looking man impaled on a sword. Bram and the girl who stole him! Her intuition hadn’t failed her.
(Y/N) needed to get up there. Flicking her wrist, a table soared through the window, and (Y/N) stood in the space.
“Don’t come!” shouted the girl. “It’s a trap!”
(Y/N) reacted the moment she spoke and dodged a stab of darkness. Whirling, she found vampire Akutagawa stared at her, suspended in a web of Rashomon. He growled and sent several tendrils at her, and (Y/N)’s gift caught it, suspending the pieces of cloth in green.
“(Y/N)!” called Atsushi, appearing behind Akutagawa.
“Atsushi, watch out,” warned (Y/N). She curled her hand into a fist, and the pieces of Rashomon she held back broke apart.
Atsushi leapt into the air and attacked Akutagawa. The vampire turned on him and batted the weretiger back.
“Akutagawa! It’s me! Don’t you recognize me?!” called Atsushi, landing on his feet.
Akutagawa just snarled, and Rashomon erupted from beneath the ground. (Y/N)’s gift kept her safe, and her fingers tensed to keep up the protection. Atsushi leapt around within the web and launched at Akutagawa. The pair were focused on each other.
“Atsushi! Keep Akutagawa! I’ll help the girl,” said (Y/N).
“How are you going to get up there?” called Atsushi, barely able to divert his attention from Akutagawa’s attacks.
“I’ll find a way,” said (Y/N). “You just hold Akutagawa back.” She smiled. “You two understand each other. If anyone can fight him like this, it’s you.”
Atsushi felt himself thrum with the encouragement, and he leapt back into his battle with renewed power. A slight green glow propelled him forward while (Y/N) turned to face the tower. Pieces of Rashomon stabbed up from the ground, but (Y/N) barely glanced at them. Her gift was working on near-subconscious levels and curled up around the threads attacking her.
(Y/N) approached the tower and narrowed her eyes. The young girl gazed down at her worriedly. (Y/N) smiled up at her. Holding out her hand, (Y/N) curled her fingers. Tiles of the tower bent outwards into stairs, and (Y/N) ran upwards. The wind whipped at her, but (Y/N) didn’t cower. Rashomon shot up at her even as Atsushi drew most of Akutagawa’s attention, and (Y/N)’s path was disrupted. She stumbled and fell to the side.
(Y/N) refused to let fear overtake her. There’s a Will; There’s a Way. A green light shone over her body, and she hung, suspended in the air. She let out a breath and floated back to the path she’d created. Landing softly, (Y/N) blinked. That was new. She smiled, and green sparks floated around her hands. Her gift was growing stronger.
Wasting no more time, (Y/N) ran and jumped up to the top of the tower. She landed in a haze of green, stood, and looked at Bram and the girl.
“Hello,” said (Y/N). “I’m (Y/N). I’m here to help you.”
“I’m Aya…” said the girl, staring at the woman in amazement.
“Aya,” repeated (Y/N). She smiled softly. “You’ve been very brave.” She smiled and held out a hand. “Let me take over now, alright?”
Aya gazed at her, wide-eyed. The sun shown down on (Y/N), illuminating her in a haze of gold and warmth. Green light hovered around her outstretched hand. Aya had the distinct impression she was staring at an angel.
“Right…” said Aya, taking the woman’s hand.
(Y/N) helped her up and away from the edge of the building. Then, she turned to Bram.
“You must be Bram,” she said.
“And you must be one of Fukuchi’s enemies,” said Bram.
“I am.” She looked at the sword Bram was impaled on. (Y/N) understood immediately. “He’s controlling you and your gift, isn’t he?”
            Bram blinked. “Yes.”
(Y/N) smiled. “How can I help you?”
“You would help your enemy?” said Bram distrustfully.
“You’re a victim,” said (Y/N). “And I help people who are in trouble.”
“He needs you to pull out the sword!” said Aya. “He can’t control the vampires and stop them from hurting people unless it’s removed, but I can’t pull it.” It was clear that Bram and Aya had bonded as they escaped Fukuchi. “I tried super hard, but I wasn’t strong enough. But I was going to keep trying. I’d tie myself to the sword and jump if I had to!”
(Y/N) knelt before Aya. “That’s brave, Aya,” she said. “But you don’t need to throw away your life like that, alright? You’re worth more than that.”
Aya’s eyes widened. This woman was so gentle, even in the midst of death and world-ending crises.
“Bram, will you keep her safe after I take the sword out?” said (Y/N).
“I owe her a debt of freedom,” said Bram. “But I doubt you can remove the sword. It is imbedded in my very nerves, the core of my gift.”
(Y/N) raised a hand, and the sword in Bram turned green. “Brace yourself.”
(Y/N) clenched a fist, and the light on the sword swarmed up into Bram. His eyes widened as the green went through his nerves, cutting through the pieces of the sword attached to him. It was an odd sensation, but (Y/N)’s eyes glowed green. She was in complete control, even if she couldn’t see the pieces of the sword she was manipulating. Then, she pulled her hand down. The sword pulled out of Bram, and he gasped as his body breathed easily for the first time in far, far too long.
His body glowed as his vampiric abilities allowed his body to reform, and he stood shakily on his own two legs. He stared at (Y/N) and Aya.
He bowed to them. “I owe you two a great debt.”
“Thank Aya. She saved you from Fukuchi. She would have saved you from the sword,” said (Y/N). She glanced down from the tower to wear Atsushi and Akutagawa battled. “The only thing I can ask is for you to stop the vampires who are attacking.” She looked at him intently. “And if you can, release them from the curse.”
“Of course,” said Bram. “I will do so as soon as I take Aya to safety. She is my savior. I am her knight.” Aya smiled at him, and Bram, awkwardly, smiled back at the girl, the expression almost fatherly. Ah, trauma bonding.
“Good.” (Y/N) crouched at the edge of the tower. “I’d move quickly. Once Fukuchi figures out you’re free, he’ll try to kill you.”
            “What about you?” asked Aya.
“I need to stop him from hurting more people,” said (Y/N). “Stay safe, Aya. I hope to see you again.” And then, she jumped.
“What strange women are in this century,” said Bram.
“I don’t think she was just a woman…” said Aya. “The minute she came, everything felt alright. People aren’t like that. It’s like she just knew that everything would be okay, and it was…”
l
Sigma pressed the gun to Fyodor’s head. He hesitated as Fyodor stared at him. Was this a trick? No, it couldn’t be…This had to be some other mind pressed down by the evil manipulator Fyodor was. Sigma reached out for the knife to kill Fyodor.
            Schick!
Fyodor spun the knife and sunk the blade into Sigma’s stomach.
“Just kidding,” he said, smirking. He let Sigma’s body fall. “Split personalities are such a stale trope, but I figured you’d fall for it.” Sigma lunged for the gun again, but Fyodor kicked him away. “Pardon me. I had to make sure you were committed. But since you clearly are…” He knelt beside Sigma. “Now, please go ahead and read what you’d like.” He extended a hand.
Sigma reached out and touched Fyodor’s hand. He gasped, and information flooded into his mind. It was too much, too much, his brain couldn’t hold it, it was overwhelming, overloading, it was—
Sigma’s body slumped to the floor.
l
Dazai lay slumped against the wall of the corridor. Chuuya stared down at him. Dazai sighed.
“I’ve imagined this situation so many times,” said Dazai. “Though, in my imagination, we were on opposite sides.” He stared at Chuuya, who didn’t respond. “What’s wrong? Come, Chuuya. Entertain me with your flimsy punch!”
            Chuuya lunged.
            “Stop.”
Fyodor’s direction from the security room made Chuuya pause.
“It’s a provocation,” said Fyodor. “He’s trying to release you from your vampiric state by having you touch him. Take him out from afar.”
            Dazai’s gaze hardened. “Damn.”
Chuuya shot, and Dazai gasped as blood sprayed from his shoulder. “Bitch! That hurt! Where do you think you’re aiming?! You suck at this!”
Chuuya approached and held the gun to Dazai’s forehead.
“This is just the worst,” muttered Dazai. “I’m in pain. I lose to Fyodor. And to top it off, it’s Chuuya that’s about to kill me.”
“Yes, you do lose to me,” said Fyodor across the intercom. “My poor Angel will be so sad. But don’t worry. I’ll make sure she forgets you.” He smirked into the microphone, and Dazai could hear it in his voice. “Poor Dazai. You failed her.”
Dazai’s heart clenched at the idea of failing (Y/N), losing her.
“Goodbye, Dazai. I’d say I’m sorry to see you go, but I’m not. I revel in it,” said Fyodor.
Dazai looked up at Chuuya’s glare. He wouldn’t just cower at Fyodor’s words.
“Chuuya…” he said. “Wake up. Our fate isn’t to be done here. For our—”
            Bang!
l
(Y/N) fell through the air from the tower, and as she went, a golden light beamed into the sky. She shielded her eyes, but it didn’t take a genius to know what it was. Fukuchi had gotten One Order to open.
            There’s a Will; There’s a Way
(Y/N)’s gift thrummed to life at the realization, and light shown around her. Energy formed at her fingertips.
“All units, attack!” said Fukuchi into One Order.
            Around the world, war began.
And (Y/N) exploded into green light.
