‘Elle’s been studying ‘The Comma Sutra.’ If you have any questions about the proper use of the comma - she’s your girl.’
The punctuation situation is the foundation for the curation of a nation. A lack of commas leads to frustration and damnation, which is why I’ve made a comma donation station- a location where extra commas are available for the salvation of sentences everywhere. Have you any spare commas to donate, Bru?

‘Sweetie, it’s better to be enraptured than enruptured.’
That’s true, Bru- and I’d rather capture the rapture than repair the rupture. I’ve checked, and all the rappers agree they’d rather be wrapped in rapt rapture than trapped by a velociraptor. Good to have a consensus, right Bru?

‘Elle often dances with great mirth before our great hearth.’
Our great hearth is in great Perth on this great Earth. It has great worth and great girth- sometimes ships make great berth by our great hearth. It’s been my favourite place since my mother gave great birth here. There is a great dearth of great hearths, so many people come here to admire it, and the great mirth is contagious here, right Bru?

‘I’m glad Elle finally found her niche. She’s been looking for it all week.’
I like to eat quiche in my niche, but a dog broke its leash and snatched my niche! I searched in vain until I saw my niche behind a pastiche- thanks for helping me find it, Bru!

‘Sweetie, there’s a new app out for people who get nervous in new and unfamiliar situations. It’s called App-rehensive.’
My hands clap and toes tap for this app! It fills the gap in any lap of anxiety and it even has a map to trap your stresses. All that’s left is the slap of calm and the wrap of warm tranquility as you slip into a nap. Do you think there’s an app to wake me up again, Bru?

‘I asked Elle about her net worth. She said she bought the net for $2.50.’
This net won’t get you into debt, I bet it’ll set you up with all your net needs met. Don’t fret, as an asset this net is better than any sold at Annette’s ‘Net-working’ store, or Georgette’s ‘Net ‘n Forget.’ I can get you one for Christmas, Bru!

‘Elle went all out. She usually doesn’t go all out. She usually just goes part-way out..then comes back in. But today...she went All Out. I’m proud of her!’
Some crawl out, some fall out and some brawl out with wine; some call out, some sprawl out , some haul out a line- but today I am all out and it is just fine!

‘Elle was feeling blue. So, she decided to make her hair that color too. ‘What do you think Bru?’ Sweetie, I really like it.’
We threw a do to launch my blue hair-do. We had a cordon bleu & fondu crew catering and a slew of guests passed through, forming a queue to see my ‘do. We even debuted a new kazoo orchestra- should we buy their album, Bru?

We walked all the way up Dizzying Heights. But on the way back down, we decided to take a flight.’
We saw many delights on Dizzying Heights, but we also saw a few sights, witnessed a few fights, ate a few bites and cited a few sites. We met some knights in tights having a slight flight of fancy with kites- they lifted us up and down we flew, right Bru?

‘Elle let down her guard. I can tell you - I know her guard well...and he was really glad to be back down again’
The guard I let down is Mr Brown, and before being a guard, he was a tightrope clown who wore a gown- but it made him frown because he hated heights. After a breakdown, Mr Brown became a guard, and at dawn an unfortunate helium accident left him floating high as a crown over town. I had to catch him with my butterfly net, Bru.

‘Shirley, goodness, and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life. ‘Bru, I’m not so sure about Shirley.’
Shirley has lovely curly hair and pearly teeth that make you stare. She’s a bit surly and quite burly, so we learned early to give her the curlywurlys the first time she asks, right Bru?

I like to waddle in winter swaddle, and the Canal’s had a remodel, so now I can toddle on a cobbled path and gobble snacks from the new food van. Coming, Bru?

‘Elle was the marker. I was the marquee. She did a great job of marking on me.’
I love making art with markers and a marquee’s the best thing to mark. I’ve drawn dark aardvark in the park, a lark barking in Denmark and a lone monarch shark studying quarks. These are our best Halloween costumes yet, Bru!

‘We went to see the Sultan. Unfortunately, Elle was not aware of the protocol and was bodily removed for, unwittingly, insultin’ the Sultan.’
I tried to apologize by consulting the Sultan. I thought he’d exult in my sultana muffins and the result would catapult us to favor, but the sultan put salt on the muffins- now they taste like saltines. Come on Bru- I prefer raisins anyway.

‘Sweetie, who doesn’t look forward to a happier day than a Sadderday?’
I always carry a ladder to climb out of Sadderdays into gladder days! Sometimes I walk around clad in plaid to hide in camouflage from the bad. I don’t mind madder days, gadder days, radder days, or even Blackadder days- but if there have to be sadderdays, we’ll face them together, right Bru?

‘Of course, I fell for Elle. She stuck her leg out and tripped me. ‘Bru, I remember it well.’’
I never trip those who are a blip on the radar- only those who clip the wingtips of my dreams, and Bru snips the tips of any who come close. Never slip on the drip of silliness when you can skip in the grip of a whole spaceship! Let’s fly, Bru!
