Bedtime scents 18th-24th March, L to R; Gucci Guilty Elixir de Parfum Pour Femme EDP, Versace Bright Crystal EDT, Britney Spears Midnight Fantasy EDP, Lancome Idole L'intense EDP, Marc Jacobs Perfect EDT and Burberry Her Elixir EDP.

All miniatures, tried to reach for a few different ones (no Anna Sui in sight this week)! One night without. because I was nursing a migraine from hell for using Sol de Janeiro Bom Dia Bright Cream on my upper body. Made the same mistake the next week! It smells like Valentino Pink PP, but stronger and immediately headache inducing for me. Poor Pink PP hasn't been used in a while and now I'm sweer to reach for it (meanwhile Bom Dia will become a leg only cream, along with JPG's Scandal body lotion which was also overpowering on my upper body and currently in use on my legs).

HAL’S PARFUM GIVEAWAY — THANKS FOR ALMOST 4 YEARS!

within the next month or so, ren will have been established for four years on tumblr. that's an awesome feat. i've made a lot of great connections here, have started a manga, and have started a parfum (perfume) business all within that time (and more). to celebrate, i want to do a giveaway of something more tangible than my usual prizes of digital goods.

here's the deal: 2 winners, 2 prizes. random generated / non-bias.

prize 1: a custom parfum made by me for whatever you want. this can be a signature scent, a custom for a canon or oc, your own creation, an attempt at a recreation of a currently marketed perfume (britney spears or something), etc. my idea is that i'll limit scents to around 6, unless i decide the blend calls for more. most blends have 3-7 scents anyways. please note that i don't have every single scent in the world, especially in the ways that i am sourcing them to be at the highest quality, thus not every scent is available at that standard. i have a huge library, so i can always substitute.

prize 2: a pre-made parfum off my menu, which you can find on my IG highlights or on our website — both show what they are, what's in them, what fandom they're for, etc.

when will you get your prizes? pre-mades are asap, unless they want to wait for something to be restocked. customs will be made in february when i have time off, as well as have ordered a full scent and bottle restock. we'll talk shop throughout that time to make sure that the concept is solid. also, be patient with me. i get busy.

a quick aside ... these are vegan, pet-friendly, organic, all-natural parfums. they are essential oil rollers using grapeseed as the carrier with slight vitamin e. be transparent about allergies. in addition, i use only organic essential oils and IFRA-approved fragrance oils, meaning they're basically non-american products that are held to a higher standard, thus not containing carcinogens or parabens. i make these all myself.

Beginner Perfumes: Gourmands

Gourmands are arguably the most difficult, as they can turn sickly sweet extremely fast and tend to be more harsh and headache inducing so here's some of the best gourmands to ease your way into them!

Burberry Her Elixir is arguably better than the original Burberry Her. Its creamier and smoother and smells more like strawberries and cream than the fizzy strawberry soda of the original. Its extremely easy to wear especially if you're someone who prefers things that are softer and creamier than loud and in your face.

Sweet Tooth by Sabrina Carpenter was definitely a surprise but its a solid perfume with a wide appeal, and it smells great. It's different from most gourmands as its white chocolate and marshmallow and whipped cream just a very light fluffy gourmand that I really recommend to people in hot climates.

XoXo Mi Amore is a fruity tropical gourmand that lasts all day and smells amazing, its less cakey gourmand and is more like a fruit smoothie imo. It layers really well with most body washes and lotions. Extremely affordable and easy to wear.

Sweet by Lolita Lempicka is the best entryway to cherry fragrances outside of Prada Candy Gloss. This is a sweet cherry pie washed down with a fresh cool coca-cola. It has a slight lipsticky quality lots of people enjoy and is an undeniably feminine fragrance. Best for really bright and flirtatious personalities. Also decently good for layering as long as its in the same scent family.

Prada Candy Gloss is my all time favorite gourmand, unfortunately its getting discontinued but its still easily available so if you wanna try it nows the best time! I struggle with whether its blind buy friendly because I personally think so. It's cherry gloss coated lips wrapped around a liquid sour cherry candy. Great for warm weather but shines best during the spring when its more temperate.

Fantasy by Britney Spears is one of the most delicious and recognizable gourmands because of how easy it is to wear. The cupcake note rlly shines it makes you smell exactly like a dessert and I recommend this for those who dont have a serious bone in their body and is a classic in anyones collection.

I have a contentious relationship with Pink Sugar by Aquolina but i cant deny its a great gourmand to start off with. Its perfect for layering and its a shockingly sweet scent that has amazing projection and lasts forever. The name is right on the money it's the pinkest smell you'll ever find.
