Morning Dove
more god Emmet because he will not leave my brain.
cw: character death (they get revived!), villain emmet, a bit Yan if you're looking for it, blood, poly implied
Pairing: Ingo/Reader, Emmet/Reader (both of these are more background because it's Emmet though centric)
~
It was joyful.
His precious brother stared at him with unknowing eyes, but allowed Emmet to embrace him tightly. The younger twin sobbed pitifully into his older brother strange new shirt. He cried his name over and over and over again.
Ingo never said his.
It was painful.
He didn't remember him. Emmet was a faint idea; a concept at most. A misplaced memory in which Ingo's own face was placed over whomever he spoke with. Emmet swallowed the stone in his throat and croaked out that Ingo was his twin brother.
Ingo's silvery eyes did not show any signs of recollection. Emmet sobbed. Ingo apologised, but it made no difference. Would this world just continue to take and take from him until there was nothing left to give? Emmet could not take much more.
His heart had already shattered when a passenger from Sinnoh informed him of it.
It lied in a museum dedicated to the Hisuian period of Sinnoh.
It stood before him as a dark reminder. Pressed onto a wax model identical to him was his brother's Subway Boss's coat. Emmet breath froze in his lungs, heavy and toxic. No. Ingo couldn't be. Ingo was fine.
Ingo had to be fine.
His older brother was alright, he could feel it.
Their connection was no lie.
Emmet has perhaps a tad too demanding that Ghetsis focus on his pet project, but the younger twin had given up taking risks.
He wanted his brother.
He wanted him before something terrible happened to him.
Emmet always got what he wanted.
He had not begun working with the despicable team of his own whim or fancy. No, Emmet was searching for his brother. His brother was in a time for from their own, so he must carve a path in order for him to return. Ghetsis was disgusting; Emmet hated him, but Emmet also loved his brother. His precious partner was sad, too. Verrry upset. Reclusing into their shared apartment with his brother's Excadrill, they never seemed happy any more. Emmet could not bare this any longer.
He acted in what he believed would be best.
Desperate.
He was so verrrrry desperate.
Your tears staining his white button down, the black cap upon his head a heavy reminder of everything. Emmet would never give up, not when it would make you smile.
Ingo might not recognise him, but he could work with that! He just needed to remind his older brother of who he was.
Yet, his promise to Volo needed to be fulfilled. The grey eyes of the blond merchant burned the very depths of his soul. Emmet would finish this. Volo would take him and his brother home after this deity he chased was obtained.
Emmet stood with him as he stared down the girl across from them. Her sable strands blowing in the wind. Her team was easily defeated by the mixture of their combined teams and skills. Emmet felt awful, but he needed to get home. This was the price he had to pay in order to safely return his brother to their destination.
A portal opened from behind Volo as a terrifying beast flew out with a shrill cry. Its crimson eyes trained on her as Volo gave a single command.
“Giratina! Strike her down!”
She screamed and curled into herself. Emmet felt himself falter. The pieces of his old self breaking through the swirling darkness that had clouded his mind. She was a child. What was he doing? He stepped forward, ready to toss out his brother's Chandelure and stop this all. It was too late, however. All the gears in this system turned perfectly in sync to the cold fate that swirled like the thin air and snow around them.
Ingo seemingly fell from the sky and rushed to shove the girl out of the way, pupils shrunken impossibly so. Emmet threw out Chandelure to stop the attack, panic, and terror striking his bones with their sharp teeth. He screamed for the ghost-type to stop Giratina.
Life truly sought to claim all that he had and leave him with scraps.
His brother fell to the ground, coat tattered as it was in the museum in Sinnoh, blood gushing freely as he yelled out in pain. Akari rushed to his side, grabbing him and crying for the injured Warden. Chandelure shrieked, recognising their trainer, as Emmet dashed to his brother. Falling to his knees, he could only stare as his blood pooled beneath him, too quickly to stop. Ingo stared at him. A shaky breath was taken.
“… I'm dis-disappointed in you – you, Emmet,” he spoke with an unsteady tone, the clearness he held in Unova barely audible once more, “You're be-better than this… Sto-stop this madness.” His bare hand reached up for Emmet's own. He gave his brother it, glove preventing true skin on skin contact.
Ingo was disappointed in him.
He messed up.
He failed.
A distant summer afternoon saw the two sitting under a tree after they obtained their sixth gym badge together as partners. There was no Ingo without Emmet; no Emmet without Ingo. He pet his Eelektrik while Ingo's Lampent sang a cheerful song. The sun was warm on their skin, leading to the older twin to scold the younger to put on sunscreen. Emmet just blew a raspberry at his nagging brother.
“Let's become twin champions together!” Emmet smiled at his brother, “I want to be strong with you! I want the whole world to fear us!”
“… I want to live quietly, and I want to help others…” Ingo sighed, sneaking his Lampent a berry, “I want to work with trains. Maybe… We could become revered and have people challenge us at our train station!”
“What train station? Everyone knows it's champions that are feared! Brother!” the younger retaliated.
“The Gear Station, Emmet. Let's work there!” the older, smiled softly at his younger twin, “We can be—uh – Subway Bosses! Together! Then we can help others!”
Emmet didn't want to tell his older brother that it sounded lame, but the idea of working with their beloved trains did interest him. Battling on said trains? That sound verrrry fun! He shook his brother's hand. Helping others sounded nice, too. Emmet loved making people smile and laugh.
It would work out.
Their connection was dead. Emmet was empty.
The girl flinched as he demanded the plates.
Volo lied unconscious on the stone floor of the temple, Chandelure seeing to it that the man responsible for Ingo's death be restrained for whatever punishment Emmet deemed best. He would fix this. Everyone was so scared and so sad. Emmet would make them happy.
Everyone would be happy.
You would get Ingo back, Emmet would have his closest people smiling again.
Ingo would be fine; Ingo would be safe.
Emmet would make him a Subway Boss again.
“Give me the plates, Akari,” Emmet cooed, a smile wider than it should be and his eyes lidded to block any shine in his eyes, “I won't do anything bad! I will make everyone verrrry happy! You, too.” She shook her head and backed away again. Stubborn. He understood. The younger twin had quite literally stood back while Volo sought to kill her. He hummed. It was cruel, but he was out of plays. “Chandelure. Hypnosis.” She tried to look away and cover her eyes, but it was impossible to resist the powers of the luring pokemon.
Emmet felt bad. There was nothing more he could do except take back what had been stolen from him. Akari would be happy. He heard about her disappearance while he had been in Sinnoh, a blond boy frantically searching for her, crying that his best friend had suddenly vanished one night. He would have her back. All of Ingo's friends from Hisui could join them. That short clan leader, the strong red-head, even that annoying purple-haired Warden. Emmet would make everyone smile.
“Give me the plates,” he repeated. She placed them in his grip one by one. All eighteen plates were soon in his possession. He recalled what Volo had planned to do to make the deity's power his own.
Well, now it would be Emmet's.
He would use it better than Volo could have ever hoped to.
A bright light soared from the heavens, and Emmet's grin hurt to smile. Splits came in his lips and small swells of blood blossomed.
The bright light consumes all.
Emmet absorbs it all, his form twisting and pulsing to accommodate all in which he now inherits. His human body his burn away and replaced by something that can handle such infinity. It is nearly identical to his old body, yet so incomprehensibly different.
The light fades, so does the world around it.
The curtain rises.
He's in Nimbasa again, as if he never had left.
The office is as he could always remember, tidied from Ingo's constant nagging. His older twin sits at his desk, scribbling away at some paperwork. All is calm. Emmet's eye move to a picture on his brother's desk. He and Ingo stand side by side in suits with you with a cake towering behind you. It's train themed. Wedding. Ingo's scribbling stops as he turns to Emmet curiously.
“What are you doing? There's always some work to be done, get on it,” Ingo chides him and shakes his head. Emmet smiles.
“Marriage~ I'm verrrry happy! I love our partner sooo much! Aren't they the cutest?” Emmet giggles, holding up the picture frame. His utopia, here at last! He hugs Ingo tightly. He's warm; he's alive. Ingo flusters for a moment, confused by the sudden affection from his brother. The older twin hugs the younger, too. They pull away, and Emmet places the photo back down.
“Our anniversary is coming up… Perhaps we should take a trip… I recall them mentioning that they had never been on a sleeper train…” Ingo mumbles before returning to his paperwork. Diligent, as always, Emmet coos internally.
“Yep! Good idea! Let's do it!” he grins, going back to his own desk.
Everything was perfect.

(2/5) ALSO beginning is the kalos arc. the second they get to kalos, cole rolls up to sycamore labs like "hey i'm back. don't read the news right now. Can we crash on your couch." and sycamore is honestly just thrilled to see him back, so he gives him back his job+tells him to stay as long as he likes. cole kind of assumes this means sycamore doesn't know about The Everything but he 100% does...he's just a huge pushover who can't (or won't) be confrontational with people he cares about. this is soon to become verrry relevant, because sycamore is dating who else but LYSANDRE, leader of team flare. they're a terrible couple who should not be together, but that's not really cole+my guy's business, so they go on conducting their (more well-adjusted+ethical this time) research+bonding while the actual plot of the x+y games happens just slightly out of frame behind them. eventually All That comes to a head, and with lysandre disposed of (dead in death ray explosion. you know how it is), sycamore feels. Terrible. he kind of has this personal responsibility complex; first he failed to keep his protege from becoming the leader of an Evil Team, and THEN he failed to keep his boyfriend from going straight off the deep end+trying to kill Everybody On Earth. it's only by dumb luck that cole didn't end up exactly the same as lysandre, in his eyes. eventually he breaks+tells cole about this, and cole is...insulted by the comparison, mostly. as much as being involved in team plasma was an objectively Bad thing to do, cole's circumstances were a far cry from lysandre's omnicidality. he also resents the idea of being anything like a guy who deliberately took advantage of others for his own gain, because if anything, *he* was the one being taken advantage of, on account of ghetsis being ghetsis. sycamore didn't know that bit until Just Now+is obviously horrified at how the comparison comes off in this light+he's like "Oh mon dieu i am so fucking le sorry" and says that to make it up to cole, he'll either personally fund his research or hook him up with somebody who can, wherever he wants to take it next (because staying in kalos is Not looking appealing right now.) and wouldn't you know it, there's some interesting reports coming out of alola...
@ninesecretsteps
Sycamore get better taste in men challenge
Also Sycamore learn to confront people challenge (I am a hypocrite bc I am exactly the same it's a problem)
Hm I wonder what's happening in Alola.... /s

[ it's brat ]: hey ghetsis, what if you had actually been a good father to N and not brushed him off as a freak? i wouldn't be shocked if he just up and abandoned you. you've been pretty horrible to him, after all.
Hurt my muse! Challenge Tier: Ghetsis
Tumblr media
‘And who, exactly are you to denigrate my skills as a parent? The boy was a freak, just like his mother, and the sooner he accepts that, the better!’
Tumblr media
‘I was an exemplary father to him, I gave him everything. Everything he wanted, and everything he needed. He had to see the way the world is in order to believe that Pokemon liberation was the right thing to do.’
Tumblr media
‘You may think he will abandon me, my cowardly anonymous friend, but you’re forgetting one simple thing -’
Tumblr media
‘He already came crawling back to me once.’

What do each of the Pokemon Champions feel about the leaders of Rainbow Rocket?
What delightful interactions~
Lance doesn’t know Giovanni, but he will not tolerate him. He technically doesn’t even properly meet him until the Rainbow Rocket attack. However, Lance has always had issues with how Team Rocket treat pokemon, and he feels like he has to step in to protect everyone in the region. He only lets Ethan and his friends accompany him because he knows Ethan would go in on his own and Lance would rather have Ethan where he can see him.
Steven is the Champion, and Wallace is the default if for any reason Steven can’t do a battle. Neither of them really know Archie and Maxie, but they are aware of them. Steven knows that Aqua and Magma sound like environmentalist groups that might be a bit too competitive, but doesn’t care to learn who the leaders are. Wallace, however, gets this terrible feeling whenever either of them are mentioned, and as the guardian of the orbs, he doesn’t like having that feeling.
Cynthia and Cyrus were childhood friends. They went on their journeys together. Cynthia powered through all the gyms, while Cyrus was a powerful trainer, but not as efficient at earning badges. Cynthia doesn’t know why he disappeared after she got her eighth badge, but suspects it might have something to do with people calling him “Cynthia’s sidekick” and saying that he was “slowing her down.” She’d love to reach out and reconnect, but hasn’t seen Cyrus since they were kids. She gets the surprise of her life when Dawn and the others find out who’s behind Team Galactic.
Alder doesn’t play much of a role in the au, but he does know Ghetsis faintly. It was more business and league talk than any friendship, but Alder does recognize his name when he hears it, and can tell just from the way N squares his shoulders that he’s dealing with Ghetsis’ kid. Even though she’s not a champion at this point in the au, Iris still tries to drop kick Colress on sight. What he’s helping Ghetsis do with Kyurem is horrible, and she’s got a lot of aggression pent up from not being able to challenge Hilbert for the champion title.
Diantha has a very respectful relationship with Lysandre. She met him when they were teenagers, and when he met Sycamore two seconds later, her brain immediately went “oh, I see.” She watched that relationship grow, and was very supportive, because the two of them just doted on each other to a fault. Then the league starts asking Diantha to investigate this new group called Team Flare. While she has her suspicions - and she’s almost always right - she can’t break Sycamore’s heart like that.
Kukui and Guzma were also childhood friends. They drifted apart when Kukui left for Kanto to study under Professor Oak. Having two important people in his life leave him for Oak in Kanto, Guzma got a little resentful. When Kukui came back, Team Skull was already in its early stages. Lusamine contacted Kukui shortly after, and Aether sounded like a great place to send the sicker starters.
BONUS (Because he refuses the position of a RR leader)
Leon trusts Rose. He feels indebted to the man that endorsed him. However, even Leon can admit that Rose seems a little... intense. And kinda creepy towards Victor. But that can be dealt with later.

A semi-deep dive of N's relationship with Alexis and Elliot. A matter in three parts.
Part 1: The Journey
It's no secret that Alexis and Elliot's journey wasn't what they were expecting. And it all started with a strange green-haired person named N. Both of the twins collectively agreed that N was odd at first, from talking really fast to claiming that he could talk to Pokemon. It got even more odd, and a bit concerning, when they would start to talk about becoming a hero and befriending the white dragon. Elliot was easy to dismiss this as just a weird person doing weird things( though she still had an eye out). Alexis, on the other hand, was oddly concerned? Something about this stranger concerned him. Was he hurt? Lost? Confused? He didn't know the answer then, but he did know that it wouldn't hurt to get to know the mysterious N a bit more.
As the twins journey continues, more joy and despair happen on both sides, Alexis breaking more and more, far from the youthful spirited kid he was before this journey started. N would make appearances in their journey, up to Nimbasa City. At that point, Alexis actually considered N a friend. A strange and distant one, but a friend non the less( Anything to distract him from the death around him).Elliot was a bit more apprehensive, slowly starting to put the pieces together. Though Alexis talked a bit positively of N, and if Alexis was happy, she was happy. N was confused about the both of them. Alexis was someone who almost seemed happy to see him, by the chances that they do see each other, even sharing some of his ideals. But he still seems to oppose him. Then there was his sister, Elliot, who was much more harsh and opposing to N. Tbh, N didn't really like her at first. But her pokemon remain by her side, claiming to love her with every ounce of their being. So confusing....
Everything came crashing down at Nimbasa City. At that point, Alexis, the poor boy, broke. He spilled everything to N on the ferriswheel. The death, the running away, the sleepless nights, everything..... everything expect Team Plasma. What they did. But Alexis trusted N. N was his friend.
I'm going to be honest, I'm still not sure how N would react to Alexis confession. Disgust, anger, sympathy? All of the above. I don't know. But I do know is that he decided the worst timing to tell Alexis the truth. That he was the king of Team Plasma. The team that harmed pokemon. The team that stole pokemon. The team that killed Alexis' pokemon in Wellspring Cave. That team. Alexis never felt so numb in his life. He felt so betrayed.
Elliot, who was just about having enough with the Team Plasma shabang and was about to talk to Alexis about it when she saw them. N and Alexis leaving the ferriswheel. Alexis looking terrible. Two Team Plasma running up to them. She hears them call N "Lord N".
Lord N.
The pieces finally click together.
Elliot was livid.
Surprisingly, after the two had their battle, Alexis prevented Elliot from absolutely beating the shit out of N( which also didn't let N see her in a better light either).
The whole ordeal left Alexis so confused. He was betrayed. Was he? Was he just that desperate to not think about the reality of the situation? Was N ever truly hid friend? And yet, after all that, he just felt it. Something was wrong. Something bigger than Team Plasma, or N ideals. He needs to find out. He has to. For N. For Unova.
Elliot wanted Team Plasma to burn to the ground. Really, she did not fucking care. They hurt Alexis, they hurt so many people! Fuck them! She's going to take them down if it's the last thing she does. She has to protect them. She has to.
N, after the ferriswheel incident, has just become more and more confused. Whatever emotions that he felt, or tried to not feel, has died down. All he feels now is guilt. And he doesn't know why. He's right! He knows he's right! His father trained him for this exact moment! Why?! He remembers their faces. The emotion in their eyes. Alexis feeling of betrayal, Elliot's rage. He can't un-see it. They haunt himAnd the pokemon. The pokemon. He heard them scream. Yell. Shouting at him to get away, crying in concern for their trainers. Calling him a monster. A monster. Him. No that can't be right. The true monsters are humans. They are foul, and dishonest, and bring nothing but harm to pokemon. N is not the monster here, he-
...
He confides in his sisters. He.... doesn't want father to know of his doubts. They, too, have been exploring Unova. They should help. They should set him straight. But his sisters shake their head.
" That's just means your learning the truth N. Your truth,"
The truth? The truth.
Hm.
He needs to find Reshiram.
N and the twins don't meet each other for a while. Elliot is head set on beating down any Team Plasma grunt she see's, while Alexis is honestly just avoiding them to ensure his pokemon lives( fun fact! The later half of the nuzlocke was actually decently deathless! I take it as Alexis being extremely paranoid of everything). Chargestone Cave was an awkward encounter between Alexis and N( Elliot was busy battling Team Plasma grunts to notice N). They don't really talk, both being as elusive to the topic at hand. The tie breaker is Cody( a then joltik) who was vibing on N's hat before taking interest in Alexis. It was a good ice breaker at least. N asks Alexis if he has a dream. Alexis thinks for a bit. He says he's not sure. Not right now. Of course, in typical N fashion, they battle, to which Alexis wins. Professor Juniper and Bianca( but mostly professor juniper) seems to get N riled up. He leaves as quickly as he came.
After getting his 6th badge, he meets N again. No battle. He just wants to talk. That scares Alexis more than it should. Oh wait it's too his pokemon. Still scared though.
N's mind is still plagued with the events of Nimbasa City, what his sisters told him. But he's tired of talking to humans. Pokemon are better. They don't lie.....though it seems that Alexis' team doesn't want to talk to him. Everyone except the Samurott. She insists for him to call her Kai. The name Alexis have her. That's.... interesting. He hopes to find something, anything, that proves him right. Surely, Alexis, his enemy friend rival, isn't as nice as he appears to be. There has to be more. There's always more( he knows from experience)
What she says surprise him. Does it? Was he something he always knew? He doesn't know .
Kai speaks of her trainer highly, and with great pride. Almost like a mother, ironically. She tells N that she would never leave his side. That Alexis is the most selfless human she is so fortunate to have as a trainer. She tells N that she loves him, and the team that they created
She also warns him if he tries anything to harm Alexis anymore than what Team Plasma already did, she will maul him to death. Politely.
Ah.
The new information makes the guilt N felt before resurface. The bond between Alexis and his pokemon( and dare say between his sister and her pokemon) is strong. It's would be heartbreaking to separate them. But if he must for the sake of pokemon then....
...
He tells Alexis about the stones. In Dragonspiral Tower.
Now there isn't much to say about the rest. The tension is high, Elliot is still mad, and Alexis is still a shadow of the young boy he was( but is slowly putting the puzzle pieces of N together)
When reaching N's castle, Elliot gets a slight perspective change. She's still angry and mourning( she lost pokemon too) but then she see's more team Plasma grunts. Some her age. Some younger. They all share the goal of wanting a better world for Pokemon. Some are even unsure of Ghetsis' action. Even N's! That's.....not different from what she saw. She's seen these type of grunts. Those who just want to protect pokemon. Those who just want pokemon safe. She knows that. ...
But that doesn't excuse all the harm they cause. She's still mad. She's still mourning. But she understands now. Just a little. Still doesn't like N.
Alexis finally understands. N's room. It's so....empty. So crooked. He can feel the loneliness. The isolation. He feel a fire blazing in his heart. He's going to save N, and Unova and maybe punch Ghetsis in the face! He just Zekrom feels the same.
The rest of it is a blur.
Alexis remember a few things. The gym leaders, the Elite Four, Cheren, Bianca.
His sister.
N.
He remembers hearing Zekroms cries, lightning and fire clash. Waves of emotions pour out his body. He needs to make him understand. He has to.
Ghetsis. That smile. That rage. N's cries for his father to stop. His sisters were right. His sisters were right-
It's over.
He's gone.
And then they were two.
" Alexis! You said you weren't sure what your dream was. I hope you find it someday," N smiles down at the slightly bloodied Alexis, " I hope you find your dream! I hope you dream that dream! Dream that wonderful dream, and with the ideals in your heart, make it a reality!" He tips his hat, his eyes glistening.
" Thank you for everything, my friend. I'm sorry for the pain I caused you. And.....farewell!"
And then he's gone.
It's over.
Why does he still feel so numb? He should be happy. Ghetsis is gone, N is going to find his truth and everyone he loves is safe. He should-
He should....
He should go.
He doesn't want to be here anymore.
He'll be back.
Of course he will he just-
Can't do this anymore.
Elliot gets a phone call from her mother, crying. It's about Alexis. He wasn't at the hospital. The nurse found the bed empty. All except for a note:
"Gonna find N. Be back soon"- A
Liar.

The Young group, and the main plot
(I’m doing a lore wrap up at the end, and since some people have kids I gotta bring them into the fold)
part. 1
part. 2
part. 3
part. 4 you are here
It starts when Janine, a shadow monk yuan ti, is told why her dad really went missing. She figured out that he was a part of the mafia a while ago, and befriended the son of the mafia leader, Silver, a rogue thief shifter, as they grew up together. He’s the one who tells her that her father deserted the mafia, so his father sent hers off to fight int he gladiatorial pits of some kingdom. Furious she decides she’s going to find him convincing Silver to come with her knowing he doesn’t want to be in this mess either.
As they travel they meet an experienced shadow sorcerer feral tiefling, Marnie who they ask to come with them as she is looking for her brother who apparently left the town he supposed to be running. the last lead she had was that he was at this college helping people study before suddenly leaving with some tabaxi and high elf. (Grimsley and Elsa)
They make it to the kingdom run by Triton’s (specifically Alaric’s kingdom) by way of some pirates who apparently are under new leader ship as their past captain a wood elf betrayed them, per the crew. (This will later be revealed to be Archie) The captain though currently is on another ship.
Also on board is another group.
This group consists of a circle of the Shepard druid named N, an aasmir berserker barbarian named Gladion, and an aasmir unity cleric named Lillie. The groups talk some but each group seems to want to keep to themselves. However while in town both groups are lead to the same place seeing each other again at the gladiatorial pits hearing about a minotaur (Bruno) breaking their opponent a yuan ti (koga) out of the pit. Realizing they maybe useful N and his group explain their story. N starts by saying he used to be in an adventure group with his adopted father, ghetsis. He had been ripped from his plane to this one waking up to find Ghetsis open to take him in. However on that journey the party realized that Ghetsis served an evil god, and was in fact the one that used a machine his god instructed him to make that could shift planes which ripped N from his home. When they accused Ghetsis he attacked and killed them all, but N heard the whole thing running away. He now is back stronger than before wanting to stop his father.
Gladion and Lillie were happy with their mother and father, till an experiment, plane shifting caused their father to disappear. Realizing their mother was loosing it Gladion ran off getting brought in by a bug bear Guzma who ran a place for races that were looked down on though secretly was working with the mother as well. He found out in her grief she made a deal with some god to merge all the plains into one through Lillie who stayed at home. However when he tried to tell Lusamine she was going too far she used him in her latest experiment which sent him spiraling into the fey wild for too long making his mind scattered enough for the the patron to give Lusamine something to control him. She and gladion later teamed up, gladion to get guzma back, and lillie her mother. They and N both suspect the same planar god is working them both against each other.
They find out yes Janine’s father was the yuan ti but apparently this minotaur was oddly more sentient than any others, N figures it’s another planar shifter brought over by another test.
Now since there is alot here let me just explain the other connections that will happen before the climax.
Kanjo group will run into villain group. Koga will recognize Giovanni and a fight will break out as it is revealed his old boss was Giovanni who sent him to die. Eventually fighting will cease as Giovanni brings up that he doesn’t know where Janine is since she ran away with his son. He wants to find them, but has ceased leading Rocket. The groups go on one adventure together thinking they have a lead on the kids, but it is a bust, and Koga insists the groups split back up. The groups do discuss the children though.
Unknown to Cyrus the tech he’s investigating is old tech that was the god’s first attempt to merge the planes of existence together. Lusamine being there is able to now what is important due to her experiments with making a plane merging machine on a small scale. She was the brains and ingenuity the god needed having failed the first time around. She is able to inform her patron who informs Ghetsis to tell the person gathering up the needed tech where to look for what they need to grab. Ghetsis also tells of other locations Cyrus knows about for other agents to investigate.
That other agent is Piers who has no idea the kind of people he’s wrapped up in however he is following what his patron says occasionally telling the party he has a lead on his father when in reality it’s to go to these places the villain group hasn’t gone to grab what his patron says is important.
The next group Kanjo runs into is this main group who they run into rather often as the journey progresses. Florie and Bruno hit it off well as Florie admits to not being from this plane either and ripped from her home. Alaric recognizes Bruno as one of the fighters from the gladiatorial pits in his home kingdom but keeps this quiet. They also inform Piers they’ve seen other people with his patrons insignia telling them where they are.
The main group meets up with villain group. All is going fairly well until Ghetsis pull Piers aside to reveal they follow the same patron and begins discussing the items he was told to gather. He gives them over, but is suddenly feeling that something isn’t right, later rejecting the patron that night. Fiore is feeling the same suspicious of why Lusamine seems interested on when she got to this plane recognizing as her not from it. Meanwhile Maxie and Rose talk to Willie in great length as Willie’s land is interesting in nature for maxie and also lacks magic which interests Rose. The god confesses to Lusamine and Ghetsis they’re following the same patron, and that Piers is no longer trustworthy. He gives them the means to frame the other group for a serious crime as the Piers and Fiore tell the group that these people aren’t trustworthy.  The rest of the villain group being tricked to think these guys cause heinous crimes fight them only to have the group run away. Piers now bent on righting what he did takes up being a wizard to right his wrongs.
The next group they run into is the young kids group. Piers and Marnie are delighted to reconnect, and Marnie is able to help Piers unlock his sorcerer abilities becoming a sorcerer of rock instead of shadow like his sister. Meanwhile The groups are able to talk about what they’ve learned and seen mentioning the other plane shifters they’ve seen such as Bruno and Sofia. Lillie recognizes the centaur and minotaur as people her mother brought over while experimenting bringing one person at a time over. At this point this party is has figured out the patron wants to bring all the planes together to absorb all of their magic. The first location of this happening was in Willie’s land which is why it lacks magic. However this was done by a ritual which wasn’t strong enough so they’re crafting a machine to make it strong enough to work. The timing of this happening matches up when N along with other genasi were suddenly brought into this plane, and when Gladion and Lillie’s father had that accident. Thus the ritual was only able to bring part of certain plains over, earth, water, fire, and air which is about all that the land has where Willie is from. It also explains why N seems to be made up the same rock of Willie’s home. Horrified as they realize that Piers may of just given the last pieces over to Lusamine and Ghetsis they want to hurry and find them. However Alaric at this point is fed up that things have traveled so far from finding his wife, and is worried for his kingdom deciding to go home wanting to be with family if the world truly does end. When he leaves Elsa’s god finally tells Elsa who she is, the run away wife of Alaric who was terrible and tried to imprision her. Though Elsa now wants revenge she agrees the fat of the world is more important.
While this is happening Kanjo team has some of this plot together doing random adventures knowing some ancient god wants to absorb all of the magic. They know artifacts of tech keep being stolen from temples, they finally manage to follow a culprit who turns out to be Piers’s dad, Karen being a blood hunter can recognize the scent. Another thing they have been looking for is Will’s brother who apparently has been missing for some. They find the bard wizard with pier’s father who is operating Archie’s old crew as those transporting the tech for the machine. Archie had not told them the full story about being framed, but did recognize the symbol he had on him as the one these pirates have now thinking that Archie is in on it, Koga already not trusting them feels this is some mafia plot to gain magic power, and also what with Rose’s comments on original power they assume all of them in on this.
They arrive to the machine first, and begin taking out people. That’s when the villain group arrives who they attack convinced their the bad guys while Lusamine and Ghetsis spur it on while finishing up the final parts to the machine. The battle is tight with kanjo loosing but the young group, and main group all arrive in time to help very quickly the physical fighting becoming tense talking as many strings are all coming together. Grimsley recognizes Ghetsis as the man to curse him, and Ghetsis admits he had used disguise self to get Piers to sign the contract which is why he didn’t recognize him when they first met. Gladion getting the thing controlling Guzma away from his mother, and breaking it, freeing the bug bear who makes the villian group realize they’ve made a terrible error. Archie explains his story about being framed for Piers and Marnie to recognize that was their father. N explains everything else recognizing Marnie and Piers’s father as one of the original party memebers. Lusamine now realizes she’s been helping the being who took away her husband, and is furious however it is too late. Cyrus is realizing how dangerous this tech was. Rose has learned magic is technically infinite but it won’t be if this guy takes it all. Maxie realizes what happened to Willie’s land and. Giovanni and Lysandre are PISSED to of accidentally helped evil again. Bruno and Sofia are angry this God dragged them from their world. Karen, Lance, Grimsley, and Elsa along with personal connections to party members are here cause well they want to live thanks.
Ghetsis has gone to do the ritual, using Will’s brother to read the first part of the ritual. Unknown to Ghetsis this kills him so that the god can over Ghetsis  claiming humans were the easiest vessels to operate. With that they start the machine as the ritual has been activated. As the planes  begin to collapse in on themselves the magic energy congregating the various parties now fully teamed up have to all fight essentially a massive god to stop it.

Cloud Plays White: Finale
This is a long one, folks, since I realized I had a bit in my notes I had forgotten about and only found after I posted this, lol, so I have now edited it in.
when we last left off I was criticizing Alder for being useless in apprehending Ghetsis and Iris for not just taking me to Drayden’s house herself when it is Right Fucking There.
So I’m still futzing around Opelucid here.
“No way, without pokemon, I’ll be lonely and sad! …but am I just using my pokemon, then?”
wow, seems there’s some brain cells there after all. you keep exercising those, brah.
I run into a guy who thinks that it’s okay for team plasma to take pokemon from weak trainers, even though he considers himself one and feels bad for the people they rob.
There’s another dude in the same room who used to be part of team plasma but left because it was weird for him that everyone thought the same way.
See, I appreciate this part of the game’s writing - I wish there was more stuff like this, people who are conflicted and their viewpoints being front and center instead of the simplistic garbage we’re fed by Iris and Alder and company.
Though there’s an absolute nut job who says that despite the years he’s trained with his pokemon he’ll let it go if it makes it a perfect being and I am just not even gonna unpack all the lunacy there.
There’s a kid who thinks that just because N has the legendary pokemon, he must be the hero.
I am very concerned about everyone in Unova being so gullible.
“Your Scrafty looks like it can try a little harder.”
WELL FUCK YOU TOO RANDOM LADY??? LAD DOES HIS BEST AND I WILL NOT HAVE HIM SLANDERED THIS WAY
I finally go to Drayden’s and get told how the original dragon performed mitosis and now we have two dragons and also they once destroyed the region with fire and lightning but it’s chill.
“People may hurt pokemon even more by imposing their selfish thoughts on them. But no matter what, Pokemon and people believe in each other, need each other, and will continue to live together…”
Drayden is smarter and more nuanced than like, anyone else, why is he not a main character.
Iris chips in about how much she can’t forgive Plasma and Drayden mentions they don’t know how to wake up Zekrom.
Well, to be fair, I’d be very surprised if they did.
Off to the gym, this’ll be interesting since I have no ice or dragon moves on my team.
I get through the trainers okay, now time to fight Daffodil.
Her Haxorus was a bit tricky but nothing I couldn’t handle, and when I walk out Juniper shows up.
And somehow she knows how to resurrect Zekrom. Cool!
She blahs about how it’ll wake up when it deems someone worthy and talks about how much I’ve changed and shows me to the gate where the route to the pokemon league is.
“Chirae? Do you regret setting out on your pokemon journey?”
UH.
MAYBE?
mmm, that’s not fair to my pokemon though - nigh everyone around me may be looney tunes or incompetent, but they’ve been good pals.
So I hit “no” after all.
and she gives me a master ball. dope.
I make it to the gates of victory road and I honestly really like the bit where each section of them is themed after the badges! That’s a nice touch, I think that was only also done in the FRLG remakes if I recall correctly. It makes it feel a lot more ceremonious and important.
Ah here come my two idiots.
Bianca asks Cheren to smile and he’d probably implode if he did. He finally isn’t an asshole though, good for him.
The bug badge guard tells me to “fight valiantly like an insect” which is funny but I guess does make sense. Ants can fuck some stuff up, man.
Honestly I want to be a badge gate guard, seems like a fun job.
Also, I caught an excadrill in a raid the day I wrote this, and caught an excadrill in this game. Their pokedex entry includes this gem:
“Their tunnels can be destructive to subway systems”
Given the battle subway exists in this game, their insurance payments must be obscene. Imagine getting your match interrupted by a giant mole with metal fists that doesn’t give a fuck.
I named her Beans. She looks like a Beans.
I also caught a Deino. The Irate Pokémon that can’t see and tackles people to learn about its surroundings. I feel a kinship with this creature.
I named him Mezzo for laughs.
And I managed to get myself back to the beginning of victory road. Good job, cloud.
Okay I think I’ve found the right path, found a new dude to beat up which is a good sign. Apparently he’s lost too.
Love when a trainer switches out to a Pokémon mine doesn’t have a type advantage against and it gets wiped in two hits anyway. Death is inevitable.
“I’ve thought about what I can do to help my Pokémon win and I finally figured out the answer!”
Is it git gud?
Flame charge raises my speed, opponent’s klang uses automotize to prove it can do that too, dies because it’s too busy trying to go fast.
Then I get nailed by a flare blitz. Darmanitan is toxic to gen 5 nuzlocke runs, I swear. Especially since I have no one on my hodgepodge team resistant to fire. At least my unfezant is faster.
“Read what your opponent wants to do. Your opponent is human and may change plans from moment to moment. Be careful!”
There’s some meta joke to be made there but I’m not thinking of anything witty. Something something AI having a point even if not in this context.
Back to the beginning again but I think I know what I need to do now.
I looked at a walkthrough to check, tho, lmfao. Was tired of climbing up there only to fall down the wrong spot.
“There’s an item at the bottom! Do you want to slide all the way down?”
You’re the devil talking and you tempt me but I will ignore your silver tongue for now.
So I’m at the league and I thought Cheran would pop out of the bushes before I got here. That’s weird. I could swear he fights me one last time before I challenge the elite four.
NO CHERAN. OKAY. WHAT. IS MY GAME GLITCHED??
I guess not! Huh.
All right then. Time to try and see if I can win with my very unbalanced team.
Lmfao yeah my first attempt against the ghost trainer crashed and burned. Literally, thanks to her Chandelure. Very glad I saved on the outside. TIME TO GO TRAIN MORE.
No Marty, you may not learn wild charge, this is a no recoil moves household, self harm is bad.
Some grinding later, I am ready to try again.
Shauntal gave me a little trouble but was much more manageable. Grimsley was easy, only his Krookodile gave me issues.
I really like the elite four battle areas in this gen, I do admit. Very aesthetic.
Ah shit I know that Musharna is coming.
Never mind, that pink and purple snoozeball went down easy. I didn’t have a single Pokémon faint.
Unless Marshal breaks the trend the fights have actually gotten easier as I went.
He actually was a bit tricky, gave me a good show.
Hello endless stairs, hello N and Alder, hello giant random castle that just explodes out of the ground somehow.
“What has just appeared is team plasma’s castle”
Thanks mate, never would’ve figured that out without you. Why do you need a castle.
Oh wow, the gym leaders finally decided to be useful and fight the sages for me instead of letting extremists wander around unchecked.
Thanks y’all! Trying not being pointless more often!
“Ignoring team plasma...that would be a terrible thing for us gym leaders to do.”
You all already did that, Elena. I watched as Clay and Iris let these assholes go. We could have avoided this whole plot if literally any of you had done more earlier.
So the game says the castle was built by the Pokémon team plasma took but how the fuck did they like...work underground...you know what I’m not gonna even think about it too hard because it makes no sense and I know that. I must make my peace.
I also like how the castle is nonsensical and yet there’s a line of dialogue about how they’ll liberate the Pokémon in PCs too for their Master Plan(TM), which is surprisingly thoughtful. This game is so inconsistent with how much sense its lore makes. It’ll come up with something clever and then wear its underwear on its head the next minute.
“Will you go the Pokémon league?”
Hey what - WHY DID YOU TELEPORT ME HOW CAN YOU DO THAT. DO YOU HAVE AN ABRA OR WHAT
THAT WAS RANDOM
Well at least there’s someone there to randomly teleport me back too.
WHEEEEEE
Hi Reshiram, convenient how that mini fire tornado you made didn’t burn me or N.
Hi Zekrom, convenient how your lightning didn’t hurt us either, you’re a considerate chap
Aight, let’s see if I can catch this bastard
...I did and it only took me like five balls. Okay then.
N gave me a good fight, so there’s that.
Love how Ghetsis’s bouffalant kills itself via recoil from its own move and my scrafty’s rocky helmet.
He gave me a good fight too though.
I do like the ending, despite my issues with how the game presents its message. N is a great character and I appreciate what Nintendo was trying to do with the game’s plot, they just...didn’t really delve into it like they should have.
I’m glad I replayed it. I still have my issues with gen 5 but I see a lot more of its positives now.
We’ll see if I do any post-game content, I have gotten kind of attached to my grump-ass trainersona and his weird team.

What are your top pokemon games??
Official or fangame? I’ll just list both. I will say Pokemon Reborn is my top-rated overall if we combine both lists (with HGSS and Collesseum/XD following as 2 and 3 respectively.)
On Official, it’s
1. Heartgold/Soulsilver (My favorite region is Johto, and Ethan is my favorite Pokemon protagonist so…unsurprising. The games are still genuinely good though imo because of the massive amount of content and post-game and QoL stuff like following Pokemon, auto-run, etc.) I also love the nostalgic feeling of the region. Lance is also here, and I like him and his design a lot, not as much as Volkner though. Also Proton is here, and I love the dude so. Pedometer is included here.
2. Pokemon Colosseum/Pokemon XD; I include this together since they’re a duo set in terms of story. XD is the better one gameplay-wise because of the new additions of Shadow moves, more Pokemon choices, QoL changes like saving, etc. but Colosseum is the harder of the two games imo b/c of the sparsity of Pokemon–if you can play it on laptop, mod XD with Pokemon XG for massive QoL changes (Fairy Type, more shadow Pokemon, upped difficulty, etc.)
I like how this set tries new stuff and it honestly showcases how if you the Pokemon IP to a third-party, you end up with something that tries to be different and actually plays pretty well.
3. Pokemon BWBW2; included as a set because of joint story line. Honestly, I feel like BWBW2 are objectively the last great mainline series additions. Even if you didn’t care for the story, they at least tried with it and the rivals. You had the nice rival in Bianca and the “focused/ruder” rival in Cheren, and both encompassed the themes of the game (Truth with Bianca as she realizes her ineptness as a trainer and Ideals with Cheren who strives to overcome his boundaries and the player even if he never can). N is pretty awesome, and I think Ghetsis is a better Lusamine (sorry, idc for how Lusamine’s actions are brushed over and blamed on the space jellyfish). There’s a lot to enjoy in Unova imo.
Also massive post-game stuff like Join Avenue (which encourages one of the main tenets of Pokemon, interacting with others and trading; ex. “Magnemite Coil”), half the region opening up for Post-game (White Treehollow, Kyurem’s abode, etc.). The Legendaries also have home locations for the most part, and their items aren’t just given to you by random people. A lot of stuff to do that isn’t just breeding mindlessly for shinies (I mean I love doing that, but options ya know?) or online battle.
4. Pokemon Conquest; Fire Emblem (or more accurately, Nobunaga’s ambition) meets Pokemon. I like turn-based grid tactic games, and this one’s actually pretty fun. You’re encouraged to roam around and give people different Pokemon to see which ones they’re compatible with. Also another example of what can be done if Pokemon is given to a another developer.
5. Pokemon Explores of Sky (and to a lesser extent since it’s the base, Time/Darkness); you can swap this with Colloseum/XD, BWBW2 or Pokemon Conquest depending on if you prefer Pokemon’s style of play, tactics games, or dungeon crawlers. I like this one since the story’s actually pretty good, the difficulty’s nice, and especially the post-game dungeons and content.
6. Pokemon Platinum and Diamond+Pearl to a lesser extent– the region that actually has a reasonably difficult Elite Four and champion. I love the additions they have like distortion world, the melancholic feel you get at times in the Chateau area and snowfields, and the post-game Battle Frontier. However, the games run so slow without Drayano’s mods. In terms of husbandos, Volkner’s pretty nice as well, and he’s pretty high-tier for me. Cynthia’s here as well, so I guess she counts since she’s a feature every time she shows up.
7. Pokemon FRLG-The definite version of Kanto for me. Sevii Islands, callbacks (callforwards?) to the Johto games with the Rocket Admins, decent difficulty and ability to sequence break somewhat, etc. It gives new experiences for those who’ve played the OG versions, but doesn’t change them drastically. The “you can’t evolve anything outside of the OG 151 before post-game” is stupid though. Lance is here as well, but his half Dragonite/Dragonair team annoys me b/c of how repetitive it is, but product of the time as well and the HGSS first battle had that as well but at least they’re all evolved.
8. Pokemon Red/Blue Rescue Team-I like this one since the story’s still good and incorporates the idea of a human being transported to a Pokemon world, but I just feel like Sky’s gameplay improvements and portraits for everyone trumps this one. I like Gengar a lot and his team. I also think the difficulty on this one (depending on starter and partner) is fairly good at times (The Moltres fight is actually pretty difficult if you don’t have Pikachu or a water type partner).
9. Pokemon Emerald and to a lesser extent Ruby/Sapphire–Battle Frontier, Scott and Smeargle cave (ie. post-game content), beautiful promotional artwork (including ORAS’s), fairly difficult battles at time if you aren’t prepared/going in blind with no excessive grinding (2nd May battle, Flannery, etc.), hidden secrets like Regis and Secret Bases. However, the latter half is so boring with the excessive surfing and lackluster variety. Steven’s here, and he’s a dreamboat even with the sprite graphics.
10. Pokemon Channel and Hey you, Pikachu!-Weird I know. This would be higher if I didn’t think this was a niche pick. It’s just really relaxing, and I want another one, especially if you can get more Pokemon to raise. It’s a lot more fun once you play it. I like exploring with Pikachu and it offers a look into the world of Pokemon as a non-trainer. I really want another one tbh.
11. Pokemon Rangers series (Ranked from favorite to lowest; Shadows of Almia–>OG–>Guardian Signs; all are good but that’s my preference) The gameplay is actually pretty fun, and I wish we got another one. They could use Joycons as a styler. Spencer, Sven, and Lunick are also pretty cute
12. Pokken Tournament- What battles should feel like in mainline if they injected millions of dollars into the mainline, so unrealistic expectation. I think Pokken is a decent fighting game. The moves are nice, and the music is good. This can go lower if you don’t care for fighting games.
13. Pokemon Battle Revolution and Stadium games-They’re mostly battle simulators with some mini-games. The animations are actually pretty lively and fun compared to SWSH’s. I would like to rank this higher, but there is no story mode sadly. It’s great if you want to see what Pokemon would look like in-scale.
14. Pokemon X/Y-I think these are actually pretty nice if only for the fact there isn’t excessive handholding; it’s there but it doesn’t force me to put down the game out of boredom. The outfits are genuinely pretty cute. However, the rivals are ridiculously terrible, difficulty is either too low or unbalanced if you use/turn off exp. share. Let’s put ORAS here as well b/c I think the lack of Battle Frontier and mediocre post-game, getting Lati@s early, etc. drops it down from Emerald. The PSS system is amazing though.
15. Pokemon Trozei and Pokemon Pinball series-Yeah, I’ve played these. Trozei’s actually pretty cool as a match-3 game, and pinball is pinball. You also get slightly more lore into the Pokemon world with Lucy Fleetfoot. I like match-3 and pinball so very much a YMMV. Pop Gates to Infinity and Super Mystery Dungeon here as well. Idk, they just lack the magic of the first two entries.
16. Pokemon Snap, Pokemon Dash, all the other spin-offs I didn’t talk about-they all offer something fun, but I just wish it was either updated for modern times and not released again (like with Snap) or a bit more (in the case of Detective Pikachu and Pokepark series). Pop Puzzle League games here as well. I like them, but they aren’t much besides Tetris games. Same goes for the Pokemon Trading Card games; they’re nice, but not super great imo.
???. Pokemon Box/Ranch/all the other storage games and stuff like Dream Radar-Idk what you’d want me to say since they’re storage space or gimmick games to catch HA Pokemon. You do get Extremespeed Zigzagoon which I love since the little buggers are very adorable.
Bottom Tier. Pokemon SM and USUM. I hate these games. They’re cash grabs (more so than usual) with being $40 a piece and the updated versions being barely changed (and actually feeling like what should have been released first). Incredibly handholding, areas feel half-baked, lacks areas to explore for the most part, Lillie is kinda annoying for me tbh (which hurts because you’re supposed to feel for her and the game’s story hinges on that), and the player is an actual detriment to what they’re trying to achieve story-wise. A big shame b/c Alola is a pretty region and Team Skull is great in concept, but execution is awful. Stated as someone who has bought all 4 versions to keep, and 2 extras for gifting.
Absolute Bottom Tier- Pokemon Masters, incredibly terrible mobage game coming from someone who plays FGO, FEH, etc. lack of meaningful content, grinding but meaningless b/c of said lack of content (ex. FGO gates you with mats but it makes you feel like you’re growing with your servants and offers a story and events to compensate; basically, a sense of achievement). CO-OP is pretty bad when you can just hop over to GBF or something if you want guilds and group content. I’m still gonna wait for Ethan and Volkner to appear though.
Unrated-OG RBGY and OG GSC (the remakes are superior outside of nostalgia factor imo so I think it’d be unfair for them to take a spot), LGPE (didn’t buy them b/c pricing but the colors are vibrant and I love that), SWSH (didn’t buy them because I have opinions on the cuts and stuff and price point doesn’t look appealing for what’s offered), Pokemon Mini (these were included with Pokemon Channel), Magikarp Jump+Duel (Duel was a cash grab and Magikarp Jump is cute but no real opinion on it), Pokemon Go (weird spot where I like it, but I don’t live in an area with safe walking areas so very much area-dependent), Arcade games (I don’t live in Japan for that), Perdue Farm games (they’re flash games made to promote so…), Pokemon Rumble (enjoyable but not memorable for me imo) etc.
Fangames-
1. Pokemon Reborn-150+ hours of content, visible themes that permeate the story and characters, beautiful spritework for some of the areas, intuitive usage of TMs/HMs and some logic (ex. Field Effects that emulate anime battling in turn-based rpg such as Corrosive Field; using Rock Smash to break the glass in some areas to solve puzzles, etc.), actual difficulty that hinges on how much you understand Pokemon (ex. IVs, stats, EVs, etc.) that’s fair but still difficult, puzzles and rewards for exploring and coming back to areas, etc. Fantastic game that I wish Gamefreak had attempted to emulate (perhaps not the darker themes but the ambition basically). Has some kinks with the revolving door of characters and such but still fantastic. Also offers custom shiny sprites, custom egg sprites, and online play like Wonder Trade and battling.
2. Pokemon Rocket Edition-Not done but I think this is a fantastic hack so far story-wise and how it implements its mechanics. You’re a Rocket Grunt, but you aren’t OP. It deals with the politics behind Kanto and Team Rocket. Still being worked on.
3. Pokemon Viridian Version-Another “play as a Rocket” game. Funny yet still can be serious; it takes the tone of the anime and understands when to be serious and when to not be. It feels like it would fit into the canon tone-wise, and deconstructs the “it’s cool to be a Rocket!” thing.
4. Pokemon Gaia-Excellent and a huge callback to classic Pokemon in story. It’s an OG region and offers a lot to do.
5. Drayano hacks- QoL updates but his work actually adds a lot to the games+new events.
Anyways, that’s my list. There’s a lot of Pokemon content, but this is how I feel for the most part.

New Apocalocke scenarios
Default clauses apply unless otherwise stated: Normal-type Pokémon always survive and may be caught. Fairy-types always die unless you catch an eligible Pokémon that gains the Fairy-type upon evolution; those you may keep. You may also keep your starter.
Earthquake: Tectonic plates start colliding with each other, triggering tremors that disquiet the region as it waits for the big snap. When it finally hits, the land buckles under scores of catastrophic earthquakes. Buildings crash to the ground, mountains fall, and peaceful flatlands become traps, those not tumbling to their deaths impaled by erupting rock. There’s no telling when the earthquakes will end—and they’re spreading to other regions. The constantly shaking earth sometimes upsets the ocean, stirring up tsunamis that devastate even more. In this unpredictable new world, Flying, Ground, Bug, and Grass are the only Pokémon that can last. Build your team and fend for yourself after nature turns your very home against you. Bonus option: Swap Water for Bug.
Rabies: A powerful virus has incubated in a strain of local Pokémon, sending them spinning with an incurable illness. As the region falls into contagion, its borders close in a desperate attempt to corral the disease. The economy goes over the roof as specialist spends hundreds of thousands on research and citizens make haste to stock up supplies. Over time, the eerie wails of sirens become but noise in the distance, shuttling more bitten humans to overflowing hospitals. Turf battles are running rampant. And nothing spreads hysteria more than Pokémon themselves, the disease twisting them into creatures only once known.
You can’t afford to wait for answers. You’re going to strike out for survival. The only Pokémon with biology that resist this outbreak are Flying, Psychic, Steel, and Dragon. Rely on them to never turn on you as the region breaks into pandemonium.
Ghetsis Wins: Team Plasma’s resolve succeeded their plan to change the world. Now, Pokémon are liberated from the influence of humans. Not all turns out true and ideal, however, when Plasma’s leader wrests control of Pokémon in order to achieve his secret goal of world domination. With untold power possessed in his grip, the regions fall to the dictatorship of this evil man. But it is unnatural to keep Pokémon and humans separate for long, thus planting the inevitability of rebellion. You find hope in the band of Pokémon that seek the joy of having trainers. Joined on your battle to survive are Pokémon typed as Fighting, Dark, Fire, and one type of your choice, including Fairy. You may also use your Tao dragon if you’re playing Gen V.
Fairy Tale: It looks as though someone up high is having a bit of fun…Pokémon World has just turned into a giant fairy tale! Magic and morals abound, and there may be more than a few Midnight Lycanroc stopping you on the road to ask for a cup of sugar. Here’s the problem…fairy tales f***ing kill everyone! Far too many inhabitants are falling prey to this literal version of Brothers Grimm. The only Pokémon known to have survived these pumpkin carriages gone wrong are Dragon, Steel, Psychic, and Dark. Will you rise above the tricks scattered throughout these fairy tales? Or will you join the masses whose tragic endings stained the forests of your dark childhood stories? Bonus option: If your game contains Fairy-types, you may swap them out with one of the surviving groups.
Revitalized!: A genius advent of time travel has gone awry, sending the world to prehistoric times! That means…ferocious fossil Pokémon now exist in alarming numbers! As we become the Durants of this magnificent but terrible epoch, you strike out to build a team, fast! The only Pokémon that have survived this time-traveling tailspin are Rock-types, Pokémon in the Dragon egg group, Pokémon in the Monster egg group, and Pokémon that reach their final evolution by leveling up while knowing Ancientpower, The evolution does not have to exist in your game’s generation to count. Bonus option: Choose one additional surviving group: Bug, Ghost, the Carvanha line, the Sandile line.
Elemental War: The Mythicals and Legendaries of the world are feuding again…and Rayquaza won’t be enough to stop it. The unfathomable power of our Pokégods kick up a gigantic Elemental War. Scores of their fellow Pokémon perish under the cataclysm of pretty much every natural and Mythical-made disaster happening at the same time. The only types that withstand this godly feud are, you guessed it—Water, Ground, Fire, and Flying. Bonus option: Fairy-types to mascot an environmental message. LOL.

Who’s ready for some GUZZLORD N???? I saw that there was a popular Guzzlord Guzma ages ago and I wanted to join in on the fun but I’ve been way too nervous to post anything to do with this but here he is
Context under the cut ^v^ (warning it’s p long)
Basically in an AU where Lusamine has scientists working specifically on UB fusion shit she hears about a certain ex Plasma king who just so happens to be popping in on Aether Paradise to check out the resident Pokemon and their accommodations.  Personally I hc her as N’s birth mum but since she’s a total bitch at this point she sees him as her ‘last chance’ at having an ever so perfect obedient UB child and what better way to do this by luring him in with kindness and wanting to catch up on all the years she’d been away to earn his trust and literally turn him into an Ultra Beast fusion?
And which Ultra Beast more fitting to fuse him with than the ‘king’ of the lot? Even if he did turn against her or the experiment failed it’s not like he’d be privileged enough to run off with the genes of her personal favourite UB.  Infact she’d easily be able to keep him just to have her fun with him by mocking him or just looking at him and thinking wistfully about what he could have been.
So he ends up going along with it willingly at first, thinking that he’s being put under for brain scans to try and find what allows him to communicate with Pokemon so that they can share his ability so they can become closer with their Pokemon friends blah blah blah.
Eventually he figures out that things aren’t as they seem when he hears Pokemon voices crying out for help from the labs late at night and gets strange cravings to take bites out of bits of furniture that he definitely did NOT have before hand.  Then bam he’s dragged off to a cell and told he’s gonna turn into an enormous violent alien crab dragon thing that has weird similarities to a certain dragon belonging to his father.
Time goes by, N begins to develop more features and mannerisms of Guzzlord (yes, including a bit of pudge thanks to his new very painful seemingly neverending hunger that) which SEVERELY fucks him up since the whole ‘freak without a human heart’ thing and the fact that Ghetsis kept him on a strict diet to maintain a ~perfect~ body has stayed with him even after he defected from Plasma yet he’s stuck in a cell without even knowing that Touko infiltrated Team Skull in the hopes that he’d show up to stop them or even that Touya is like five floors above him scrubbing windows as an employee waiting for him to show up to play with the Pokemon.
Lusamine would eventually find out about Touya’s connection to him (and his status as one of the heroes of truth and a champion of Unova) and decides that if he ever found out about N he’d easily be able to break him out with the god of truth and ruin all of her plans, so she decides to be kind enough to send him down for a reunion and a bit of DNA splicing himself.  No use passing up extra test subjects right?
Touya is a smol angery boi so surely the origami knife fairy would suit him nicely.
SO yeah they both end up stuck in cells going through traumatising painful  experimentation and torture and mocking from Lusamine (but hey atleast theyve got eachother right?:’) )until they both manage to transform into their full UB forms and break tf out of there
God I’m so sorry I’m terrible at summarising and there’s so so much potential for angst and fluff!! And dont worry N might hate himself at first but!! He can learn to look past the shit Ghetsis drilled into his head about his body with lots of love and support and body positivity from Touya and Touko ovo
Also I might post some Kartouya at some point but not for a while im...v tired but hey thanks for reading !!

Here we are with green-haired ramble boy, back to serenade me with his misguided activism.
“They may say it is for understanding one another better, but what trainers really use battles for us to compete...”
The two aren’t mutually exclusive, and while some people might lean more toward one or the other, it does not make either inherently better or worse.
“And they hurt each other’s Pokémon!”
Look, N, I get it. You have a sad backstory. Your dad is such a big tool that Home Depot sells things in Ghetsis size. But this is precisely zero of my business.
“Am I the only one who finds this terribly painful?”
I find your repetitive monologues painful.
“Whatever...I’m going to talk to your Pokémon.”
Well that seems perfectly in ord - what.
“I’ve been living with Pokémon since I was born, so it’s easier for me to talk with them than with people.”
Right. Okay.
“...Because Pokemon never tell lies.”
Incorrect but you have no way of knowing about mewtwo or the other legendaries, so.
“Hey, Zebstrika. Would you tell me what kind of trainer Chirae is?”
Marty’s inside his poke ball. What are you talking to, crazy boy.
“Ok, Ok, got it. So Chirae was born in Nuvema Town, lives with Mom, and was given the Pokédex to start off a journey to see the world.”
Hey, uh, he has no way of knowing that. I caught him like, yesterday. Unless he talked to Fiend, who’s my oldest remaining team member, who I guess could have heard it from my Servine back when Vide was still alive.
Wait why am I devoting thought to this.
“Still, this Zebstrika trusts you for some reason. That’s good!”
You say that like anything you just stated is somehow suspect, idiot. I am literally a child everyone keeps giving random tasks to.
“If every person and Pokémon cared about one another like you two do, I could watch over the future of people and Pokémon without having to liberate Pokémon from people who just use them.”
The view must be nice from that high Mudsdale of yours.
“Ghetsis is using team plasma to search for some special stones - the light stone and the dark stone...”
So why aren’t you there, helping him. Aside from the fact I’m the closest thing you have to a human friend. Wow, I just depressed myself.
“These stones hold the essence of two legendary Pokémon. It is said that when they lost their physical form, they fell into a slumber and were transformed.”
You heard it here folks: the gen 5 legendaries are actually crystal gems.
“Now, they wait for the hero’s arrival...I shall resurrect a legendary dragon type Pokémon from one of those stones, and become its friend.”
That sounds like something that could never affect me, an ordinary thirteen year old, at all.
“That will show the world that I am the new hero. Everyone will follow what I say!”
Brah, you self-admittedly know almost zilch of humanity. That’s not how it works even in Pokémon land.
“My vision is to change the world without using force.”
You’re doing a great job changing my state of consciousness to snooze.
“Trying to change the world by force will just make others resist. If people resist, the ones that will be hurt are the innocent Pokémon used by foolish trainers.”
Nnnnot just them? Also people.
“You understand.”
That makes one of us with that opinion!
“Pokémon are not just tools for people to use!”
Yes.
“As a result...Pokémon and trainers who care about one another, like you and your Pokémon, will be separated. And that does break my heart a little.”
No.
Finally he flounces. Dear god.
I trundle my way to the cave that will take me to the next city but Cheren ambushes me before I can actually go up the steps to go in.
He blabs about how we both have the Jet Badge and should see who’s stronger.
Spoiler alert: it was me. Though his unfezant did its best to annoy me by using detect twice in a row, so I just threw in Marty to clean its clock with discharge.
My favorite moment was when his liepard used fake out on fiend, but guess what motherfucker, inner focus means no flinching!
Then Alder shows up, jumps down a cliff because i guess he can just do that, and Cheren says “If it isn’t the champion, Alder.”
WHO ELSE HAS HAIR LIKE THE SUN? This boy. I swear.
“I’m weak, so I lost!”
No, you’re just created for the express purpose of me kicking your ass.
“And honestly it bothers me when you call it a fine battle despite that.”
On one hand I can sympathize with Cheren as someone who loses despite how hard he tries, and I agree Alder is annoying and pretentious, but on the other it’s a Pokémon battle. Obviously someone will lose, and it’s not my fault he keeps challenging me.
“Oh, honestly, Cheren. Just accept the compliment without the stinging remark.”
For once I’m on Alder’s side.
“I’ve asked you this before, but what do you plan to do after becoming strong?”
Hopefully go live as a hermit so I never have to talk to him again.
Cheren blah’s about how being champion will be the reason for him to exist and how he’ll be really living because he watches too much damn anime.
Alder says he reminds him of someone called Marshal and says what someone does with power is more important. A cliche, but a valid one.
He gives us both Surf, which means it’s time to use my dead Tranquill to fly me around because no one else I’ve caught can learn fly and it’s surf time, damn it.
Cheren admits he doesn’t know what he wants to do and just wants to be strong so everyone will acknowledge him because he has no friends. Bianca and I don’t count.
“Chirae...next time, I will win!”
I’d love to let you so you shut up but alas, the game makes that inconvenient. Also my desire to piss you off is stronger.
