Before this tournament is officially put to bed, there's still one last poll we need to get through. We're going back to our roots, gang.

When I started the idea for this poll, it was just because I wanted a chance to make my friend have to choose between our two favorite robot kids. I wasn't expecting it to grow into what it was; I was expecting, at best, maybe a couple dozen people would be invested in the biggest polls.

Instead it turned into something enormous that took up a lot of time and a lot of effort and was a lot of fun, and I even got some new pals out of the deal! But we never got to pit Penny and Boyd against each other, so... here we go. Pick which of our mascots you want to give a blue ribbon to and which will sit off stage sad that they didn't win but still happy because they're friends and they're always going to support each other. Winner gets extra sprinkles on their ice cream later :)

Emma would go full grandma mode with Boyd, she would be stoic at first but then she sees how polite he is and her heart quickly melts for him. She doesn't get to see him often but when she does she always brings an overwhelming amount of gifts and smothers him with attention.

Yes she also puts him in extravagant outfits for her blog, but she genuinely likes him and talks about how he's like the son she's never had (with Mark Beaks right next to her, of course.)

Boyd loves to spend time with her but it always leaves him exhausted at the end of the day.

I once joked in my server that Nega BOYD would act exactly like Bender from Futurama, but recently I was rewatching some Futurama and remembered that Bender is a terrible cook since he’s a robot with not taste and that got me thinking

Wouldn’t it be funny if BOYD attempted to cook but was actually really terrible at it? When he’s following recipes, he’s good. Or maybe not. Maybe he takes things too literal like that one fairy from Sleeping Beauty

But whenever BOYD attempts to go off book, he’s a disaster

He’d be like “The recipe called for fruit so I added tomatoes!”

Or “Since we were short on time, I doubled the heat of the oven!”
