Listening to Biden's press secretary repeatedly say that Israel HAS to "defend itself" makes me wonder if I can bring myself to vote for president.

Not voting for president, or voting for a 3rd party candidate in this electoral college system, goes against everything I believe, but if you don't draw the line at actively funding and supporting genocide, where do you draw it?

My view on the "lesser of two evils" question has always been that, of course, you want less evil.

But this is genocide.

I have a friend in tech, like gets headhunted good in his field. Was out in his house the other day & he was soooooo excited to show me an AI program that was “real AI”. I asked if the Turing test is still the go to method of judging and he said yes.

After a few minutes of his increasingly frustrated attempts to ask it questions to show me how awesome it is I said something like “So it’s Google?” His outrage! Me: “No, it’s exactly like Google but the responses are phrased like it’s a person saying them. Felt absolutely like talking to a bot, not a person. Basically Siri.”

He just kinda stared at me open-mouthed for a bit before showing me a 3D design program that actually was pretty cool.

I’m not too worried about AI taking over the arts. Coz the tech bros developing it are from another dimension.

Public school window blocked by ad.

Took 3 months ago, Mc. Gregor public elementary school, Toronto, Ontario. I know the image is slanted, I took this quickly while on my walk.

To be clear: Mc. Gregor has always been an underfunded, overpopulated school. Classes had to be merged into one classroom, and the amount of students in the school got so bad they had to full the playground with temporary buildings while my sister was attending. I'm 70% sure that this is just a supply closet window. But it's still depressing they have to put dental ads up for funding.
