Nota: 4/5⭐️ 🙌🏻🙌🏻 #booksreview #booksbooksbooks #bookstagram #booksilike #recomended #bookcharacter #fairytale #fairytail #fairylights #cuentosdehadas #booktropes https://www.instagram.com/p/CqbUcDKO4v8/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

Book Review #1: In Order to Live
Tumblr media
I had the wonderful opportunity to read "In Order to Survive" by Yeonmi Park. This book was so riveting, emotional, inspiring, and overall, an experience that I wish I could read all over the again. I don't want to give too much away because I genuinely believe that everyone should experience reading this book because it really shows the true meaning of survival and what it takes to survive. I found myself being more mindful and grateful of all small things that I used to neglect. For example, the water heater at the place I am staying had turned off, meaning cold showers. At first, I was bummed because taking cold showers during the coldest time of the year was not my ideal situation, but I found myself thinking back Yeonmi's story and how she went DAYS without even a single quick scrub and that instantly changed my mood around. I was still bummed of course, but I was grateful that at least I was able to shower despite the water being cold. It was that small instant where I could've made a big deal out of a small situation or turn over a new leaf and remind myself that there are so many people who don't have the luxury to simply take a shower whether it's cold or not. This book is beyond inspiring, and I recommend anyone and everyone to read this beautiful book.

Review Roomhate by Penelope Ward
We have a new post!
Hi there! I read this book last week and I have some things to say eheh First, I want to say that at the beginning of the book, I felt like I was reading fanfiction on Wattpad in 2010. I swear it seemed to be written by an amateur. However, it changed when the romance between the two characters started. I got stuck to the plot and I couldn’t stop reading. The friends to enemies to back to…

Resenha | Dom Casmurro, de Machado de Assis. Nota: 10/10. A famosa Capitu! #literaclassica #madalla #domcasmurro #machadodeassis #classicos #lido #livros #literatura #bookgram #bookstagram #readster #leitura #companhiadasletras #leituradodia #clubedolivro #bookclub #resenhadelivros #booksreview #asasul https://www.instagram.com/p/Cm6p0SUuMoy/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

🚨 Book Review Alert! 🚨 Downright glorious. Iron Widow is a tale of women’s history; the perspectives drowned and discarded. It’s an ode to female empowerment and a defiant will of women everywhere to persist, to rage against a millennia of patriarchal societies. It’s raw, evocative, and impossible to turn your head away from. Five stars simply isn’t a high enough rating. The world building is gorgeous. The descriptions are fluid and imaginative, flush with culture and complexity. The characters are crafted with such care, ensuring that even the smallest of them are given proper time to flesh themselves out. My only gripe is that the dialogue felt a little annoying at times (frequent use of “um”). I loved cheering for Zetian. I was thrilled to root for a protagonist after countless idle reads. I lamented with her, reveled with her, laughed with her. She is compelling, strong, complex, and defiant. She is feminine rage and justice. I cannot wait to see where she takes me next. #ironwidow #book #bookreview #review #books #booklover #bookworm #bookstoread #booksarelife #bookishlife #bookhoarder #bookkeeping #bookseries #booksreview #bookreviewblog #bookwormforlife #bookishallure #reviewtime #booksworthreading #product #booklovers #bookstagram #bookstagramer #greatreads #bookreaders #author #authorlife https://www.instagram.com/p/CjBAJEEreJF/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

Last Night at the Telegraph Club Review
Author: Malinda Lo
Genre: Young Adult
Rating: 5/5
Main topics:
Sexuality
Chinese-American culture
New experiences
Review:
I have read this book multiple times. And it seems to get better each time. Malinda Lo has created such a fantastic novel that I could go back to it again and again. The protagonist, Lily Hu, is a complex and loveable character. Her experience is a mixture of culture and personal identity. Reading her journey through struggles, with culture, sexuality and changing relationships demonstrated how complex her character is, and showcased the intersection of different faucets of life when contemplating who you are.
Lily’s journey in this book was, at parts, exciting, in others, tense. When she first meets Kath, her love interest, she dismisses anything odd. She soon begins thinking differently, a breakthrough in her self-image. Lily’s emotions are clear on the page. It is hard not to project yourself into her shoes, feeling her racing heart through the page. At various points of the book, Lily has conflicting emotions and this is clear in the writing. Lily is a great character, and I loved seeing her character develop into who she really is.
Secondary characters are fleshed out well. Kath is a character I really see myself in, which probably explains why she is my favourite. Her experiences are also detailed in the background, showing a different experience to Lily’s. Lily’s family and friends are frustrating but overall good characters. Shirley especially is nuanced, her outward demeanour shows cracks at points and exposes her true character. This shows how people can have very different personalities and not be who you once thought they were. The change of the friendship of Lily and Shirley was very interesting to read.
The setting of the book shows a society that made it difficult for Lily. Living as a Chinese-American in the 1960s subjected her to a society that did not appreciate her for who she was. Adding in her queerness, this society seemed it would never accept her. But as she finds the underground community of queer women, she finds a place she can fit in. However, her race plays a part in this fitting in. At times, she feels out of place in the Telegraph Club, or when with other lesbian women. She also feels out of place with her friends, knowing they are different to her. She eventually hates society’s expectations and tries to be proud of herself, even if only some people know her as her true self.
This book has me in a chokehold. The setting, cultural details and exploration of sexuality that seems oh so familiar creates a fantastic book worth reading.

BOOK:- In the Name of the lord AUTHOR:- Sister Lucy KalaPura . . This book tells about the dark life of nuns who become wives of Jesus by their choices. Their choices were only till becoming a nun after they joined there many nuns became mere slaves to priests and those who protest for a pure nun life had to face humiliation like the life of Sister Lucy KalaPura. I always want that my one thought to get wrong someday but it doesn't "Women are the biggest enemy of women" and because of that Lucy KalaPura had to face lots of problems and fought lots of battles to stand for her wish to become a good nun but she never got any support from any of her friends and the priest. The priest in the church sexually forced themselves on many nuns but still, they haven't said anything in this book she has said that many women were forced and some did for enjoyment. Lewd Men in the church had the most power in their hands and they had their way one time one priest assaulted a girl and made her pregnant but he was spared because he was a man and the girl had to face lots of difficulties. I don't respect those religions that force their women to be outcasts from society. Sometimes I feel Christianity is not a religion it just forces people to follow their madup customs. I hope the story of her life gives some women a mind of their own to be a better version of themselves and respect other fellow women and give hard times to those lewd men. ..... #lucykalapura #bookstagram #inthenameoflord #sisterlucykalappura #harpercollins #reviewcopy #booksreviewer #bookishlove #bookrecommendations #bookrecs #beholderofopensky #bookblogger #bookshelf #bookflatlay (at India) https://www.instagram.com/p/ChI_Hg4PvHY/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

He was a prolific writer, journalist, and orator noted for his strong support for Indian independence, communal peace, and secularism. He was a close friend of Mahatma Gandhi and served as president of the Indian National Congress several times. Despite being detained on multiple occasions for his actions, he persisted in his efforts to advance Indian independence. When India earned its independence in 1947, Maulana Azad was appointed the nation's first Minister of Education. He devoted her life to increasing literacy and education among the Indian people. He also had a significant role in founding the Indian Institutes of Technology and the University Grants Commission. Review by @bookreviewscafe in our latest issue.
