He had to get to the arena, he had to stop Bastion he couldn’t let this happen.

He couldn’t lose Bastion!

He could barely talk from how much his throat hurt from the acid but as soon as he entered the arena, he screamed.

@get-chazzed He quickly took off his glasses and stuffed them in his pocket as soon as he heard the first shout. His contacts had decided to fail him halfway through the day and he's had to switch them out to drive back home. No way he was letting the kids think he was a nerd like Bastion.

The tackle had him stammer back by two steps, these girls definitely had more energy than he'd ever had- which maybe wasn't that surprising considering who the parents were. Still, it was flattering to see that they'd all run to the door to welcome him. He was, indeed, home.

"Ha, indeed I am," he announced fondly, patting both Aurora and Rosalie on their heads. He then sank to his knees to welcome Damien into the hug, too. He extended one hand to him as an invite. "Come here, little one."

He broke the hug after a few seconds, as he was still carrying his backpack and needed to put it down, badly. Taking off his shoes was the second thing. As he sat down on the step in their hall to do just that, he delivered the good news.

"Ok, hear me out: I didn't go to the store so we could have takeout for dinner. But I'm going to claim I just found the shop closed, alright?" Nothing was better than leading a pack of mischievous children. "And you distract your dads if they start arguing that the closing times don't add up. Puppy eyes. You know it always works."

He ruffled Damien's hair as he addressed him with a big smile. "Your job is to tell me what you want to eat." -------

“Dad! Dad! I missed you!!” Aurora smiled and hugged him tightly

“I missed you too!!” Rosalie squeaked. “Missed you dad!” Damien agreed.

As Chazz sat down to take off his shoes, Damien crawled onto his lap and clung onto him like a baby koala. He wasn’t done hugging yet. The older children sat either side of dad. Aurora giggled mischievously at Chazz’s proposal but Rosalie being the goodie two shoes wasn’t sure about the idea. Damien how ever was certain to what he wanted. “Maccas!”

“Great idea Dami! lets get kids meals from McDonalds!” Aurora agreed in excitement.

“What’s this about McDonalds?” Bastion was leaning against the doorframe, arms crossed. “Welcome home!”

Bastion sighed as he finished another emotional piano rehearsal. He loved playing the piano but considering he was playing in memory of his late mother, it could come off as a bit much.

He turned and noticed the other standing in the doorway. “Oh hello! How long have you been there?”

He had heard about the guy but had never considered him much of an idol duelist. While his dueling was good his performance was very unpolished. His vocals rough and his choreography flimsy. And Chazz of all people saw something in him?

“That’s all well and good but what brings you here? Decided to try and get into the Ra Rank because Obelisk wouldn’t take you back?”

New Verse: King of the Light.

“I will make the world feel the same misery and loneliness I feel every single day...”

New Verse based off a what if! What if Bastion resented Jaden?

Why would he do that you ask? Well!!

primarily that he starts to really resent Jaden as the series goes on

Because 1. Jaden didn’t make to save him from the society of light the first time like he hoped.

2. Jaden didn’t actively try to save him like he did Chazz and Alexis, like he literally says “that’s everyone!” After rescuing Alexis

3. The duel with Eisenstein, having his hero admit that Jaden might know more than him and bring everything Bastion believed in into question should have driven the guy mad, just not streak across the campus mad

So here’s my idea:

As Bastion grows to resent Jaden further and realises that no one, not even the society he thought was great, cares about him, the Light of destruction preys on him.

“I can make all of the world feel the exact same misery and despair you feel every day... I can give you vengeance, no, justice!”

Bastion agrees, and the light uses him as a vessel, disposing Sartorius as a lifeless husk for Aster to find.

Bastion then takes Sartorious’ place as the main antagonist of the series

“Chazz?!” Jaden asked shocked “what’s wrong buddy?”

Bastion sat next to his partner concerned, noticing the shocked look in his eyes and the hands around his neck Bastion realised

“Jaden... I think he lost his voice...”

“You lost your voice!?” Jaden looked like he was about to cry, not for himself but for Chazz.

An idol duelist’s voice was just as crucial as their deck. Without his voice Chazz can’t compete in concert duels.

“I-it’s gonna be ok Chazz!!” Jaden said, hugging him. “We’ll figure it out!!”

Bastion hugged him too. This was his fault!! He shouldn’t have pushed Chazz to hard. “I’m sorry... I’ll help you get it back!”

There was no way Primar-3 was going on stage when one member couldn’t. It was one for all and all for one!

Gentle Kiss ( Give me 'It's late at night and I just can't sleep' GX Rivals and 'accidental study date' Hornet )

Jaden had been staying in Chazz’s dorm with him for a while since his breakdown. He was slowly gaining the ability to trust his friends again and he was starting to faintly hear duel spirits. So clearly Jaden was beginning to heal.

He lay on the couch staring at the ceiling waiting for Chazz to come back to the pro meeting with Aster. He was worried about him.

When Chazz finally arrived Jaden got off the couch, surprising the obelisk as he should have been in bed. Jaden chuckled awkwardly and pulled him into a soft and tender kiss. “Sorry I couldn’t sleep…”

Bastion looked at Chazz’s notes carefully and double checked his own work before giving Chazz a red circle on his work.

“Good show Chazz, a correct answer, full marks I might add, you’ve done well!!”

Chazz had clearly been struggling and to Bastion, it looked like all his motivation was gone. That won’t do.

Bastion leaned in and gave him a gentle peck on the lips. “Keep up the good work and maybe I’ll give you another!”

Sho sighed as he got ready to leave academy island. He couldn’t believe he was a graduate now. He turned to Ryo and said “I’ll be with you in a second”

He walked over to Kenzan and before the other can speak, Sho gets on his tip toes and plants a kiss on his lips. “I’m going to miss you… don”

They were lying on the bed in Daichi’s dorm watching the nationals duel monsters final.

It was normal for them but tonight Daichi only had eyes for Asuka. As he watched her facial expressions change at every turn in the duel he couldn’t help but fall more in love with her.

When Asuka turned to look at him he made his move, leaning in slowly and carefully before planting a small peck on the corner of her mouth before pulling away blushing “s-sorry…”
