Hola a todos!!!⠀ Hoy les traigo el libro que leímos en el club de @aficionadaalalectura Me encantó descubrir la inspiración de Frida para sus retratos y creaciones.⠀ La comparación de su obra con su propia vida te hace reflexión y agradecer la vida que logramos obtener siendo personas autosuficiente. ⠀ ⠀ "Creció considerando que su forma de comportarse no era la adecuada, que para ser más interesante, más deseable, tenía que ser otra" ⠀ ⠀ Esta obra nos adentra en la vida de aquella joven mexicana que en septiembre de 1925 sufre un accidente que trastornará por completo su porvenir. Bella e independiente, se casa en 1929 con Diego Rivera, el célebre pintor muralista. Esa joven era Frida Kahlo y este libro es su historia, que nos cuenta cómo una de las máximas de su vida fue no cerrar jamás los ojos a la fealdad, sino, por el contrario, abrirlos 'para presenciar así el nacimiento de una belleza terrible', para la que ella inventa otra realidad. Torturada por el dolor físico, pero arrebatada por sus compromisos políticos y amores tumultuosos, con el paso de los años construyó una obra pictórica poderosa y singular. I haven’t finished #houseofbloodandearth but I’ve read enough that had me preordering #houseofskyandbreath I am loving the book so far.
