Absolutely in love with my Kindle case. What’s better than books and cats? Nothing. The answer is nothing.

Wonder if I should be claiming these as incidentals for being stuck in the airport for too long 😅... But it really brought me a lot of joy shopping books physically , I mostly order books online like most of us I guess .... there is something satisfying about going through physical books and buying them 🤗
'The Curse of Saints' is the one that I am most excited about

Reading Classics it's not easy.
I fell in love with Pride and Prejudice a couple of years ago. But it wasn't that easy. It took me years to finally understand everything.
First I have to admit that, the 2005 movie was the first thing that I saw. Although I did know who Jane Austen was before that I never read anything from her before the movie came out.
I read Pride and Prejudice in Spanish first. It was a great translation and it had a lot of notes but I was quite lazy and I skipped them all just reading the story without actually enjoying it or understanding what it was about. As a result, it looked like most books for me at that point and I was just glad I could checked it out of the list of classics.
The only reason Pride and Prejudice stayed with me all the time was because of the magnificent OST and terrific landscapes.
I eventually met Sense and sensibility, and then Emma but the two of them never caught my attention until a couple of years ago. Yeah, not even the films were able to drag me onto this.
Then it was Wuthering Heights. I hated it. but I read it in Spanish. And I didn't finish it. Although I almost managed to. The movies did it for me at least for a while. Then Persuasion with The Lake House movie because they did quoted Persuasion. But in such a bad way I don't think I ever wanted to read about it.
But with The Crown again, they quoted Persuasion again... and it made me fall in love.
Which brings me to this, finally. because it is true: it was the memes and the fandom enjoying the books that dragged me here and made me understand everything. It was you all the ones that made me buy the books and pursue this knowledge. And even when I don't understand, I know exactly where I should go to ask.
It was the videos on YT, the memes on pinterest, the threads on reddit, the random posts on tumblr.... and everywhere.
My point is:
We need you. We need your quirkiness and your obsession over these topics. Otherwise we'll forget what these books are about. So if you love something, share it. Find someone who shares the same interest. If you're alone, keep sharing it, because you love it. It'll eventually reach out to someone.
And it'll spread like a virus. That's why it's so important. Because sometimes, someone wants to be part of that thing, but they don't understand it. Either the language is a barrier. Or cultural differences are. Or maybe since some of us are not acquaintanced with historical facts, we feel intimidated. So, keep sharing your knowledge. Keep sharing your love. It pays off.

I took this awhile ago, but I don’t remember the book… but I thought I’d share anyways.
