I’m feeling very Jolabokaflod today, after receiving a dragonishly delicious gift from my friend. @the-forest-library . Not in the picture are the bookmark, stickers, and fun coloring book plus adventure story they gave me. I’m so excited!
Thank you so much!

I started this book and omg it’s SO good so far!!!! I think this book is so underrated in the book community honestly, why wasn’t it more popular?? It’s a YA medieval fantasy with Welsh cultural elements and it’s a bit creepy and I just love it!! 🥰 bookstagram at bookishmunchkin

Best part of working in a library is that you become a hero. You become a hero in the kid’s eyes because “how did you know I like Spider-Man” (he was wearing a bright red Spider-Man shirt) and a hero to the parents because you got their kid to love reading.

Crier’s War by Nina Varela (2019)
I was in need of some easy reading when I picked this one up and it mostly fit the bill. It was a quick SFF read with Sapphic protagonists. It felt a bit lacking to me in chemistry between characters and I’m not sure if I felt the elements of oppression were incredibly well dealt with here (I felt my eyes rolling a tad).
I also know I can’t expect a huge amount of critical discussion on this in a fast-paced YA. You sort of just have to take the telling-rather-than showing world-building in this one and try to enjoy the ride.
Still, it was a quick dive into in a world that wasn’t my own, which is definitely what I’ve needed.

So I've been reading Great expectations for a whole month or so... I can't seem to finish it. It is partly due to the bad translation in Spanish that I bought.
