Help me, Tumblerinas, you're my only hope

The collapsing bird app has failed me, and while I have no great reason to believe it will be better here, the Goncherov score, that absolutely fucking slaps, materializing out of Tumblr's userbase goddamn overnight gives me some amount of hope.

I animate as a hobby. Right now, I'm animating a "trailer" for my book that's already out, because I love my queer disaster goobers and stay motivated to draw them. After that, my dream is to animate something in the spirit of an anime opener for one of the later books in the series.

I need music for that. I have money! Not enough to commission someone, but enough to pay for rights to an indie musician who doesn't have a record company chowing down on most of the cashflow.

So, if you make music, with English lyrics, that has any kind of vibe similarity with an anime opener, please show it to me, so I can see if there's anything in your oeuvre that's got the theme and the tone I'm looking for.

Changeling Book Trailer

It's been a long time since I've had access to my main computer and, along with it, my video editing software. But this evening I couldn't resist the urge to put together a Book Trailer for Changeling.

March 16th is the 1 year anniversary of Changeling's Release, and I may or may not have something special up my sleeve...

For now, enjoy this brief glimpse into the world of Changeling ^_^

Fey go missing in the mortal realm. Everyone knows that. When Lizzy's mother is the next to vanish she's expected to grieve and move on. Instead Lizzy wants to find out what happened, but the answers she seeks can't be found in the fey realm of Arbaon. With the help of her best friend, Booker Reed, Lizzy's determined to retrace her mother's final steps... straight through an illegal portal and into the mortal realm. Whatever leads she expected to find, it wasn't an academy of vampires, and a world stalked by their rabid cousins, the kavians. Forced to rely on the vampires for protection, and secluded away behind the high walls of Speculo School, it quickly becomes clear not everyone is pleased with Lizzy and Booker's investigation. With danger building the further they dig, the two fey need to decide if the closure they seek is worth risking their lives for. But the longer they remain amongst the vampires, the more Lizzy begins to suspect that her answers instead lie with the deadly kavians.

Let me get you in context sharing with you what Cassie said about it maaaany years ago on 2011:

Hey folks. You’re at part one of the treasure hunt for what we like to call the DSAS, or the Dirty Sexy Alley Scene. You see, when my videographer was shooting scenes for the book trailer for City of Fallen Angels, well, she shot a scene deemed “too hot for TV” by my publisher. So the footage was cut. What to do with it? Vania, ever resourceful, made a little mini-movie out of it, added some effects, and voila, the DSAS.

Now nothing happens in the DSAS that would be inappropriate in a PG-13 movie. It’s just … a bit passionate. But to make sure you really want to see it we decided to create a little treasure hunt across the blogosphere, featuring some of today’s top YA writers and their unwavering commitment to “makey-outy scenes.” You start here. Each blog leads you to the next blog, which will give you a letter. At the end, you’ll have all the letters and can unscramble them into the password that will allow you to watch the video. The password is Mortal Instruments-related, keep that in mind when figuring it out.

And then the "treasure hunt" led you to forming the word "Wayland" and long story short, you got access to this video and now i'm bringing it back!
