I find myself very intimidated by things that used to bring me joy. Photography and writing in particular seem like lost skills.
But nothing gained can ever truly be lost, only made dormant. Practicing something you once excelled at may be one of the bravest acts you can accomplish.

I like breaking spines and I cannot lie.
Books, people. Look at my poor books. What do you think I meant?
Phantom and Rook's spine is just as beautiful and detailed as the rest of the cover, and I love the gears on the Iverbourne books.
Look at my gay outcasts in the bookstore. Just look at em.

Please allow me to show you how fucking incredibly my boyfriend did with my Christmas presents!!!! (Other present in another post) Holy fuck!!!!
If you follow me, you might have seen me lusting over Folio Society special edition books a couple weeks back. My boyfriend does not know my tumblr. I did not tell him about that store. He knew I liked Philip K Dick, found out that UBIK was a popular book of his and bought this incredibly beautiful copy, with 0 idea that I had seen it and lusted after it before. When I opened it, I was so bewildered that I was like, how did you know???? Do you know my tumblr?? Can you read my mind???? Or see my search history 🤣
It’s gorgeous, I’ve only just started reading it, so please no spoilers! If you have a book fan in your life and cash to spare, highly recommend getting them a folio society book! I can’t stop looking at it!!!!

I liked catching up on my English Dub anime list today. But getting into Yashahime’s 2nd Season’s 2nd Half will be a bummer without Kirby Morrow voicing Miroku. The OG won’t sound the same without the late Canadian actor. November marks 2 years since his tragic passing.

I love your unhinged energy of your comics it's just *chef's kiss"
I wanna ask how you rig your chibi characters if you use a program or an app ಥ‿ಥ
thanks! 💚💜💚
I use Spine (professional version)! I'm pretty sure it's the same program the Twst devs use for the chibis; I decided to try reverse-engineering 'em basically because my license was just sitting around gathering dust, and I thought it'd be fun practice (this was before I tried to rig Meleanor's cape). it is an industry-standard program and, unfortunately, is priced accordingly, so it's a bit expensive if you're not planning on using it professionally -- there is a free trial, though I think you can't save/export anything in it? BUT it is truly excellent and can do a ton of super cool stuff, plus is genuinely just fun to mess around in, so I 10000% recommend it to anyone who is serious about getting into 2D rigging!
behold...the BONES...Najma and her billion discrete tassels...don't pay attention to all the extra bones from my desperate attempts to control Meleanor's meshes

a paperback book isnt alive until you break its spine btw like a long slumbering animal being carefully roused it actually needs you to do that like when you click your knuckles. for your paperback book the breaking of its spine is like the first stretch against your pillow in the morning

Eddie, posting to TikTok: Look, I love my husband. I adore this man and I have for the majority of my life. He is the shining star in my sky.
Eddie: And I know. I know he wants to read more this year. And I know that when you’re dyslexic, it can be really difficult and I’m happy every time he accomplishes what he wants but…
*Flips camera to show Steve reading on the other side of the couch*
Eddie, gesturing: What kind of demented book handling is this? That book is bent in half. It’s a hardback!
