𝐍𝐄𝐖, 𝐀𝐍𝐃 𝐆𝐎𝐑𝐆𝐄𝐎𝐔𝐒 𝐒𝐓𝐀𝐈𝐍𝐄𝐃 𝐆𝐋𝐀𝐒𝐒 𝐂𝐑𝐎𝐒𝐒 𝐒𝐓𝐈𝐓𝐂𝐇 𝐏𝐀𝐓𝐓𝐄𝐑𝐍 𝐃𝐑𝐎𝐏!
She is found. The lost Fae of fire.
The flame dances around her fingers as fire encompasses her, spreading her embers far and wide. It is not death and destruction that shall follow in her wake, but the dawning of a new age to come.
But first, she must take back her throne.
Check out my new, and GORGEOUS stained glass coloring book piece! With hints inspired by a really great book series. This pattern will look great stitched as is, or find your own flame and fire palette to really make this pop!
TBH, I had this pattern 100% done several months ago, but told myself I wouldn't post it until the test stitch was done. Well, still not done, so. Might as well post this anyway! It is BY FAR, my 100% most favorite cross stitch coloring book patter I have made thus far!
So, share around for someone who needs something creative in their life to stitch! 𝐀𝐧𝐝 𝐝𝐨𝐧'𝐭 𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐠𝐞𝐭! 𝐒𝐚𝐥𝐞 𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐬 𝐭𝐨𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐫𝐨𝐰 𝐚𝐭 𝟏𝟏:𝟓𝟗𝐩𝐦 𝐌𝐒𝐓! 𝐃𝐨𝐧'𝐭 𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐬 𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐨𝐧 𝟓𝟎% 𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐜𝐫𝐨𝐬𝐬 𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐜𝐡 𝐩𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐬!

“No matter how the official narrative of this turns out” it seemed to Heidi, “These are the places we should be looking, not in newspapers or television but at the margins, graffiti, uncontrolled utterances, bad dreamers who sleep in public and scream in their sleep.”

I'm going back to basics. Back to when I simply enjoyed reading for what it is. An escape from reality & a chance to explore new worlds.
I honestly cannot remember the last time I truly enjoyed reading a book or the last time I did not struggle to pick up a book & read.
I have made the decision to step away from book blogging. I have already made changes to my book blog to reflect this new direction. All I have now is a simple Tumblr for sharing my love of books.
I want to get back to my old reading days & just be happy with a book in my hands.
I will be...
Looking for good recommendations.
Reading what I want to.
Accepting when I don't like a book & moving on.
Making myself a reading schedule.
I will not be...
Doing anymore book tours of any kind.
Focusing on what is 'trendy' in books.
Trying to get so many ARCs.
Forcing myself to read.
Caring about what others think.
I'm also cleaning up my Instagram feed, so there will less images on my profile. I want it to reflect who I am as a reader.
I hope you will stick with me on my journey as I rediscover my love for reading.

Book's I'd Like To Read Again for The 1st Time
Top 5 Wednesday was originally created by Lainey @ GingerReadsLainey – you can join the Goodreads group HERE Book’s I’d Like To Read Again for The First Time Today’s T5W prompt is to consider books that we would love to re-read for the first time again! I am a great re-reader of books (I find something knew with every subsequent re-read) but there are more than a few books I would love to…

The only brilliant writing and planning that needs to be in s2 or s3 of the summer I turned pretty is Conrad Fisher playing “tear drops on my guitar” by Taylor Swift on his own guitar while pining after Belly Conklin. I am begging please!

Having read and liked “All I Really Need to Know in Business I Learned at Microsoft” (1998), the first book of Julie Bick, for some years the product manager of Microsoft Office, I had a look at her second volume, “The Microsoft Edge” (1999).
It’s less compelling than her first management book, which rightfully became a bestseller and got translated in several languages.
Some chapters are excellent, others spout boring clichés on teamwork and hiring the best people and some chapters on, say, building a successful web site are downright obsolete because the early days of the web in the nineties are long gone.
I do like her slang use of the word “pigeons” for bad managers: “(they) fly in suddenly, make a lot of noise, and drop a load all over everything you just did”. Do we recognise that situation?

The TBR for September. The smallest one yet as I am getting closer and closer to my goal of eighty books. I am continuing on with my set TBR of ever changing genres. My five star prediction for the month is, ‘The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks’. For my mood read, I will be picking up mystery thriller books to kick off the spooky season. My ebook sticks to whatever theme my mood reading is, this month, it will be ‘The Night Manager’ by John le Carré.

A Look At: Work, Death, and Sickness
Work, Death, and Sickness written by Leo Tolstoy. It’s written in third person past tense. The main characters are God and Humanity.Jargon – Galley-Slave, and Bugbear. A galley-slave was often a prisoner of war or convicted criminal sentenced to row in the galley of a ship. God watches over humanity and gives them what he believes will bring people together. First, the means that no one can do…

Review of Uncanny Vows by Laura Anne Gilman
Uncanny Vows is the second Huntsmen novel featuring siblings Rosemary and Aaron Harker and their hound Botheration. A fascinating twist on urban fantasy, it is set in a 1913 where Huntsmen hunt uncanny creatures when they pose a danger to humans. With characterizations as sharp as razors and an excellent balance of enough historical details to be immersed without slowing the story’s forward motion, the siblings pull you in one step at a time. They are flawed, stubborn, and sometimes wrong, which makes you root for them more. Twists and turns abound from beginning to end as the investigation continues.
Unfortunately, even Huntsmen have bosses and internal politics, and blending in versus being practical isn’t an easy choice in the suffragette era. Pants are often on Rosemary’s mind. (It did make me wish we still had convenient trolleys.)
Bother is a charmer when he wishes and my favorite character. And when I say the dog is my favorite character, it is high praise because 1) I’m mostly a cat person and 2) I thoroughly enjoyed all of the characters down to the most minor.
5 stars   Great book! Start hunt for more books by this author.
(See rating system at http://tmblr.co/Zb30ArqLsiRe )
In the interests of full disclosure, I was sent an ARC of this book by the author for the possibility of a review. All my reviews, good, bad, or indifferent, are based on my own opinion and from my personal viewpoint. They are also spoiler free.

as someone who has taken a few greek myth/history courses in university, i just want to say that i’m so happy that they took the kleos route in the new pjo show.
in all the myths, with achilles’ and heracles’ being the most prominent, kleos/eternal glory drives why they do what they do. they want to be recognized by others for their feats for as long as possible
without spoiling, with clarisse, luke, annabeth, grover, and percy’s story lines it really makes sense cause they’re all trying to find their own kleos
