For the final project in my class, my students get to pick a video from the ultimate Bob Ross Playlist which has all seasons of the Joy of Painting.

I love doing this project with my students because I give myself the same amount of time as they do and they can see me struggle along with them.

The video I chose was back in Season 21 Episode 10 called: Blue Winter

I was pretty happy with how this came out. Let me tell you, painting digitally is extremely hard but I'm enjoying the struggles and being pushed out of my comfort zone.

I really wish I could just learn not to relax and be myself in groups of people. Every single time I do I fuck up and hurt someone. I misread situations, get social rules wrong.. or I gave expectations for how the thing will be and it's not like that so I'm freaking out over the chance of expectations and I'm not capable of being nice while trying to deal with that.

I'm just not a nice person to be around. Unless I'm really in control of the situation, but that's also not nice. Being controlling isn't nice, but I can't handle the change in expectations, so I'm just not nice..

Going to absolutely bite whatever happened that caused every tutorial or guide for anything to pivot to being entirely video. It stinks!!!! I just want a written document with a couple of pictures thrown in where needed or some video clips if completely necessary.

I cannot process information when it is just the droning voice of some person either moving through the tutorial way too fast or too slowly with no middle ground!!!!

#also i was trying to replace my old phone screen the other day. but video tutorials just had a person rambling #and their hands were always in the way i gave up and just bought a new cheap phone. #the only good video tutorials are bob ross paintings. #because they're largely vibe based and not 'hope you didnt skip this vital step that i made it difficult to parse ;)' #aaaaargh #have to take back the complaints about animbot i think the website for it has changed and has more text now... thank god.
