Might’ve taken a few centuries off my lifespan, and been 2 days late, but it’s finally done!!! I was supposed to post this on last Saturday, which was also my birthday so I didn’t have enough time to finish it, so I said ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I’ll just finish it on Sunday. ...Sunday I had theatre and no time, so now here I am, 1 in the morning, tomorrow/today is Monday, I am so fucking lateee. But anyway! These are the final 2 of this series, next 2 artworks to be posted are already finished so those will 100% be on time!!! Onto info about Layla and Eric, the characters here. Now first things first, why don’t they have those spirit things? Because I’m lazy. That’s it, they should have them, but I’m focused on getting this posted before 2 days late turns to 3 days late. But onto more character things, Layla’s name I knew immediately because I felt her screaming in my head that that was her name, and Eric was named after the Eric from the little mermaid because Eric is a merman. Also Eric and Layla are dating if you couldn’t tell- Layla came to Vegas for a fashion opportunity, which turned out to be a fluke leaving her and her boyfriend stranded in Vegas, with their apartment already paid for soooo they were kinda stuck. They decided to stay, got jobs at blue moon bar, and now Layla owns an Etsy shop where she sells fashion and Eric is... I mean he really doesn’t know what he wants to do with his life, he’s good at american football but not good enough to go pro so he’s kinda... stuck. He’s also stuck in my mind considering I have no idea what I think his passion would be- my main idea of him is just that he’s a himbo. So that’s fun, in other news I’ve been adding more and more trauma to Nadia’s pile, I also discovered the word Hiraeth, which describes one of her experiences perfectly so... I would like to state I take no pleasure torturing my characters it just kinda happens. It’s for entertainments sake!! Also I have an animation thing going on for these two so stay tuned. The story behind this image I imagine, is that head mage Vivienne is invited to a magnificent ball hosted by the admirable goose king. She decides to bring her girlfriend, Nadia, as her plus one because Nadia is interested in foreign affairs, plus Vivienne needs some fresh air outside of the stuffy ballroom nonsense. Her reluctance to be formal is showcased in her outfit, which is pretty lackluster especially in comparison to Nadia’s. But they go to the ball together, Nadia having a nervous smile on her face while Vivienne having a subtly confident one. and what happens at the ball? Who knows! We shall see if they do end up getting accepted! 🔮 🪄 🔮 🪄 Back again with some more art! Also what do you think of Nadia (pink hair)’s dress? I created it. I also really like that kinda floaty sash thing, it’s very fantasy esc. This might be posted a bit after midnight, but goddamn it it’s still Saturday to me as I haven’t gone to sleep yet I’m still keeping with this schedule I made for myself. This is for @cosmos.tea.shop ‘s challenge, #goosekingballroom . I also, last minute decided fuck it, I’ll do the most detailed shading I’ve ever done!!! Which is fun. (Also, in case anyone’s wondering, absolutely none of this is canon to their story Blue Moon Bar, these two are set in modern day as well so that makes this whole goose king thing even less likely lol. But why not have an AU made specifically for our favorite goose king?! It’s all in good fun. ALSO!!! I have realized that I am a foolish fool as in the last post I completely forgot to draw Vivienne’s tattoo, which Vivienne got long before she met Nadia soooo overlook that small detail. Nadia! Here is Nadia, one of the main characters of Blue Moon Bar, and the first main character we see. So in a way she’s the main main character? Who knows! Other info includes, she’s a wish giver (species I made, info later) who was transported from another time by a goddess to modern day Las Vegas. Why? Spoilers. How? Spoilers. Am I going to tell you anything other than that? Nope! However I will tell you this, there are 5 other main characters that have different connections to the modern world and the more fantastical parts. The story goes everywhere, from Vegas to the oceanic domain to the underworld to the fae realm. So much happens, I’m not certain I’ll be able to do it justice when I do write it. But, I’m sure as hell gonna try! Also, here’s some info on Nadia, her personality and stuff like that. Throughout most of the first book she’s very out of her element, and because of that she’s very quiet, kind, and naive. When she was back in her time though, she was still kind but a bit less quiet and book smart but not people smart. She was very intelligent, held knowledges of the time and what to do to stay safe that helped her companion a lot. She might’ve been quiet, but she would still speak her mind, as we can see in flashbacks. But now, so much has happened. I’m willing to bet if she ever were to see a psychiatrist they’d diagnosed her with anxiety and PTSD after the shit she’s been put through. Heck, after the story is completed I’m certain all of the characters are going to need some amount of therapy, I kinda feel bad.
