the greater bluebonnet is a small parrot found in southeastern and central australia. they are considered a sedentary or resident species and do not migrate. they mostly remain in pairs or congregate in small groups of up to ten; while they are social, they are not as gregarious as some other parrots. they are known to be aggressive and difficult to breed by aviculturists. females are slightly duller than males, with less red on their bellies. they primarily feed on seeds, but are omnivorous and have a varied diet that also includes nectar, fruit, and insects.

fields of blue
din djarin x reader
im originally from near dallas tx so i love love love bluebonnets,,, um so here’s some self-indulgent modern au din/reader.
i couldn’t find a name for grogu that sounded.. good? so i just didnt. it was like gregory or greyson or groot and NONE of those were even remotely acceptable.
gorgeous indigo flowers blanketed the patch of land that you watched your husband and infant son hop the small wall onto. you took a picture of the two of them, tucking your phone into the pocket of your dress while you kept your eyes on your boys. he reached out his free hand to beckon you and pull you up, which you took and clambered over the wall using.
the three of you wandered for a bit before settling pretty far back in the field. din’s brown eyes were bursting with joy as he sat down in the flowers, staring at the boy in his arms. his sparse blonde hair stuck up in all directions, dark eyes filled with wonder at the colors surrounding him. you snapped another photo, wishing you could stay in this little flower-patch forever.
you’d been coming here with your parents for years to take spring photos, and it struck you that it was finally your turn. your siblings had theirs, and now you had an amazing husband and the son you’d adopted together, and the three of you were dressed in your nicest spring clothes for the occasion. your first spring together, as a family of three.
you admired din’s beautiful profile as he watched the butterflies flit through the small field, wriggling your phone out of your pocket to take a picture. you wanted to remember this for the rest of your lives— together. he turned his head after you’d gotten it, a broad smile cracking his face and replacing the content one that had settled there.
“sit,” he crooned, murmuring your name. you obeyed him, nestling up against him and resting against his hard front. he moved your son so he was settled against your chest, but din’s arm was still supporting him, and put his chin on your shoulder. you felt his patchy facial hair tickle you softly, and giggled. the blonde-haired baby against your chest giggled with you, cooing as he reached a hand for your hair. you tilted forward, letting it fall within his reach, and watched as he put it in his mouth.
din let out a disgruntled noise from behind you. “should we be letting him do that?” his chest rumbled against your back.
you laughed quietly and replaced your hair with your finger. “better, dad?” you turned your head to his and he laid a smiling kiss against your lips.
“yes, my beautiful wife.” he kissed you again, and you felt his arm raise off of your body. you opened your eyes to see him lowering his phone after taking a picture of the two of you. you squealed loudly and turned, holding your son carefully as you somewhat tackled din into the flowers, laying kisses all over his face and neck.
“you piece of shit, no warning!”
he laughed full and bright into the hot texas air, insisting that it was revenge for the picture of his profile. you tickled his side with the hand that wasn’t concerned with your baby, feeling him tense against you with joy and mirth. he cried out “mercy, my kind lady, please!” and you moved your hand to his chest, just resting it there, laughing just as hard as him.
he huffed a few more quiet chuckles under his breath, looking down at you admiringly. your baby’s eyes were flicking between the two of you wonderingly, and din scratched lightly at his head before turning the three of you to your sides.
as you regained control of your breathing and settled in like spoons in a drawer on the soft earth, you smiled down at the miracle in your arms and tilted your head to peek at the dark-eyed beauty who put the pretty ring on your finger. he was staring right back at you, that same smile of satisfaction and content mirrored on his face, and somehow you knew. you knew that this was where you were meant to be.
no matter how long you’d waited, it was finally your turn.

I find great joy in capturing the beauty of wildflowers through my photography. One of my favorite moments to capture is when a bee is buzzing around the flower, creating a lively and dynamic scene. It's amazing to witness the intricate relationship between the bee and the flower, as the bee collects nectar and pollen while helping to pollinate the plant. These moments in nature are truly special and I feel privileged to be able to capture them through my lens. These photos captures a Texas bluebonnet in a field of mixed bluebonnet, paintbrushes, and clover blooms. As the bee flew swiftly from one bluebonnet to another, collecting nectar as it went. Its wings beat at a rapid pace, propelling its small body through the air with ease. The bright blue petals of the flowers contrasted against the bee's black and yellow stripes, creating a striking image. With each landing, the bee dipped its long proboscis into the center of the flower, extracting the sweet nectar it needed to survive. As the bee swiftly moves from bluebonnet to bluebonnet, collecting it's nectar the hindlegs become adorned with balls of pollen as it diligently carries out its pollination duties.
