I created this account four years ago. I’ve been on Tumblr since I was 15 and this is my third (?) account which was supposed to be a private one. I don’t usually publish posts here just because I don’t think they’re worthy to be read.

And if you’re wondering why I don’t use my previous accounts, I unfortunately forgot the login credentials haha. As of writing this I have yet to finish reading 117 pages of cases for my class tomorrow plus a pending report. I don’t even know why I’m doing this instead but I promise to go back to reading after writing my thoughts.

I suddenly had the urge to start publishing my posts again after years of not doing so. And although I have no idea who’s going to read what I write, it gives me a sense of comfort that someone’s here. Someone wants to know what I have to say. I’ll probably just rant, or maybe not. Sometimes I’ll write what I feel, sometimes I’ll write about other people; just like how I used to in my previous blogs, you won’t really know.

So if you’re here, hi. Let’s keep everything here a secret.

「february favorites」 ★ shows

i discovered two shows this month: great pretender and restaurant to another world !

★ great pretender

this anime is about a young man who regards himself as the best con-man in japan-- only to be conned himself! the series follows his [unlikely] con adventures along with like-minded people.

the visuals in this show is fantastic. the colors are vibrant and they’re totally my jam. case in point:

once i start a case, i tend to binge it until the end haha. it’s very intriguing to know how it would end, because there are always wild cards around. although sometimes, just don’t think [logically] too much and just enjoy how the con unfolds~ xD

★ restaurant to another world

this anime is exactly what the title is-- a restaurant to another world. every saturday, the door to western cuisine nekoya (that’s what the restaurant is called) opens to a different world much different from planet earth. in that world, elves, dwarves, magicians/sages, humans, and half-humans exist, who would enter nekoya to dine. it’s pretty much just that; so yes, it’s a slice of life reverse isekai with lots of good food! aka a relaxing show uwu

i initially discovered the original light novel of the series (the anime is an adaptation of it) through the seven seas monthly licensing survey and decided to try it out. i like it so much that i’m on a quest to find physical copies of the light novels! it seems like volume 1 is out of print everywhere, so i decided to get the ebook instead. if i have extra funds by the end of the month, i might go ahead and import volume 2 *w*

Logitech K380 in Pink Review

Of course, the Logitech K380 in Pink is a must keyboard for pink lovers. Not only its color is attractive, its functions are great in work-from-home setups and school. Read further to learn my thoughts about this keyboard.

This keyboard has always been a part of my wishlist. Unfortunately, it's usually out of stock (in authorized stores) or I didn't have enough money to purchase one. Thanks to the recent Shopee sale, I finally managed to acquire one for an affordable price. This keyboard usually ranges around PHP 1995, but I got it for PHP 1400 thanks to vouchers and coins.

The Logitech K380 is a bluetooth keyboard. It can connect up to 3 devices, which you can switch with just one click of a button. You can go to your laptop and then transfer to your cellphone or even your tablet.

Its portability is one of the reasons why I went for it. It's lightweight and easy to bring around wherever you go. Its keys are quite silent and not annoying if you're working in a public space.

If you're an Apple user (like me!), this keyboard is your buddy because Apple key functions are accommodated and engraved. Majority of keyboards in the market are more leaning to Windows so seeing this K380 is a sight for sore eyes.

The keyboard's footing may not have a stand but it's tilted so you'll still get a bit of elevation. It has rubberized feet so it won't slide off.

Overall, I highly recommend the Logitech K380 keyboard. I can't say or see anything bad with it since my usage experience has been enjoyable so far. In my opinion, it's better to get this keyboard while it's on sale rather than purchasing it for its full price.

You can see no hint of puffy white clouds on the blue skies above, the sun shines brightly making all the colours more vibrant. The sea and it’s endless rhythmic back and forth across the shore can be the most natural thing eliciting peace, inviting you to a dip, quench an almost impossible thirst for an adventure. The white foams hitting the red rocks are hypnotising, entrancing you to let go of everything you had stored in your mind putting you on a standstill. The pleasant jut of the rocky terrain, a mixture of red brown with shrubs of green peppered on it, is a wild contrast to the light blue of the skies, like a canvas of wild colours painting a picture of an idyllic life on a brink of collapse and no matter how long you stare upon the beauty it slowly embeds into your heart somehow you knew, as the birds transcends its graceful flight along the banks, you knew, as reality sinks itself, you knew that you’ll never be a part of it.

After years of riding a roller coaster, here I am wearing my best OOTD (Outfit Of The Day). I can say, time travels faster as you get older. When I was in Grade 7, I remembered the first day going to high school, I was really afraid and nervous because it was also the first time I commuted (go to school all by myself). I remembered the first time I engaged myself in different school activities such as Journalism and Student Council. I remembered the times I spent together with my classmates that after years being together gives me the realization that they were also like my second family. I remembered all the family problems that likely destroyed my motivation to go school but also became the reason for me to be more determined and be stronger as I encounter more challenges while I am studying.

Back then, I remembered things that both gave me happiness and sorrow, things that challenged my personality and things that shaped and molded the person who I am right now.  Despite all the hardships I encountered while studying, those paperwork and research papers, all the performance tasks, assignments plus the peer-pressure and high expectations from my family, I strive to be a role model student and son at the same time.. I have faced all the blocks with eagerness and courage to achieve the sweetest peek of success.

No words can explain how grateful i am right now. I just want to thank everyone. Fist of all, to God, who provided all my strength, intelligence and wisdom. Without Him, I will not be in this place. Of course, to my beloved parents, for unconditional love and unending guidance and support, as well as to my relatives who helped us financially. To my friends. classmates and to everyone who became part of my journey, Thank You! 

The beautiful thing about learning is that no one can take it away from you. Through out my high school years, I learned that following excellence will make you chase success. It is our choices that show what we truly are far more than our abilities. 

I know it is not yet the end, It is only the beginning of many things I really want. i am really excited at the same time, feeling nervous for what college has installed for me. Regardless of that,  I know everything is planned, I am preparing myself for that. See you till my next journey!

「january favorites」 ★ games

i’ll apologize ahead and mention that the post is not about a game per se, but the main character instead: yuri lowell from tales of vesperia.

yuri has climbed his way as one of my favorite game protagonists (alongside ammy from okami). he is so interesting and so unlike any other rpg protagonists i’ve encountered. he’s sarcastic and not 100% goody goody-- which is refereshing, ironically. despite that (or maybe because of that..?), he still becomes a sort of anchor to the other characters, who are also undergoing their own growth processes.

protagonists are usually characters who are still growing and learning about the world, themselves, and their values and principles, which tend to be on the idealistic side. yuri is somehow like that, albeit older, as he seems sheltered growing up in the lower quarter, except he already knows his principles off the bat-- he just doesnt know how to put them into action yet (and he eventually does, throughout the game). but, he is also realistic. he knows he cant please everyone, and doesnt give a damn on unimportant things-- which i think how we should also think irl: dont sweat over the small stuff and prioritize those which you value; quality over quantity.

tldr; yuri lowell is awesome uwu
