I’m starting to understand the appeal of the series. It tests me on how well I can strategically plan my moves, and will throughly punish me if I mess up significantly. Although I’m getting the feeling that I will benefit from tackling this game at a slow pace. This is clearly not made to be binged on. X/
On the artistic side, I’m absolutely loving and mentally crying at Nahobino’s overall design. Watch me doodle mostly his gorgeous hair before I get a hang of whatever the heck he’s wearing ^^””””
In Stars and Time has quickly become my favourite game of all time. My first playthrough has driven me to tears more times than I can count, I've never had a game break me like this before. I'm so grateful that I've been given the opportunity to share such a meaningful experience with everyone.
Voice acting this game has been extremely heartbreaking, and I can't wait to see what gut punch is waiting for me next.... Join me for my live playthrough of Act 5 NOW! It's my first playthrough, and I'm going in completely blind... may the Universe have mercy on my soul.
in between (hiding from) Big Intimidating Projects i am starting my first totally blind playthrough of Star Wars: KOTOR 1 on the Switch. I know nothing about this time period or story, but i'm liking it enough that this miiiight turn into something of a liveblog, if that's of interest to anyone.
Impressions so far, like an hour and a half in:
1. It feels VERY much like proto Mass Effect like you can just tell this is where me1 evolved from (fun fact: i first made this observation BEFORE learning that the cancelled KOTOR 3 was basically repurposed into ME1! You can REALLY feel it. I'm a relatively new Star Wars fan but huge longtime ME fan, and vibes are everywhere. On that note:
1.5 I KNEW THAT WAS KAIDAN'S VA. LOL. that man has mildly annoyed me now in THREE games. (He's better in ME3.)
2. Almost every single line is voiced including total randos which for 2003 would have been insane like I see why people lost their minds over this
3. Was not expecting zombie plague to be Big Quest 1 but I am totally here for it. Also the choice between giving the serum to nice doctor who will cure the planet for free vs. to the crime lord who will charge buckets for it..... *sniff* Ah. Timely.
4. ALSO very unexpected and somehow hilarious to me that "Sith" in this era are like. an actual... organization? culture? they have military bases and casual off-duty soldiers and shit instead of being Just Two reclusive sorcerer weirdos. Shit is SUUUUPER normalized and it's.... well. unsettlingly familiar, I suppose.
5. Ah. An Amnesiac Hero. This CERTAINLY won't lead to any Big Twists. :))))
I recently found out my best friend has never hered of or played undertale. I’m gunna make him film his first play through cus I feel like it’s rare for someone my age who’s into games to not know. Like I dont know how he missed this. He’s also been looking for an excuse to film himself playing a video game. Who wanna see?
I might even make him have an Easter egg scavenger hunt for some of the seacrets lol. Any suggestions for that is very welcomed.
Oh and when I mean no idea bout the game I mean he dosent even know who sans is!
Water Temple this, Water Temple that. I don't want to hear it anymore. You haven't struggled until you spent hours on end trying to Goron Jump your way through the Snowhead Temple in Majora's Mask.
It took me nearly an entire three day cycle just to clear that temple, and then I had to do it a SECOND time because I forgot to collect ONE fairy, and had to go through the entire thing again to get every single fairy again!
The Water Temple is a cake walk in comparison to me going airborne two degrees to the left, completely missing the landing, and falling four floors to the very bottom of the temple over and over again.
I absolutely hate Snowhead Temple and the only cool things about it are the music and the final boss, which I have already battled multiple times just for the fun of it. (The mini-boss is decent, but not as fun)
"You've been met with a terrible fate, haven't you?" Yes, and it's name is Snowhead Temple!
