#Nola #NewOrleans #Travelvlog In-Depth Travel Review| New Orleans (Nola) Review| Episode1|BlackWomanVibes The footage from this 7-episode series is from my New Orleans (Nola) travel vacation from Nov 23 2023 to Nov 28 2023. The commentary and opinions from these videos are my own.
Episode one I take y’all on my New Orleans City Tour from Viator. The 2 hour tour takes you around different Nola neighborhoods such as Tremé, French Quarter, Garden District etc. Tour guests learn the colonial history that shaped and still shapes New Orleans. Stopping at St. Louis Cemetery No. 3 to see historic maternal bloodlines from the Black Codes era. Lastly, we stoped near City Park and enjoy the lush green space and visited the charming boutique tourist attraction that is Cafe Du Monde! Dropped off, I headed over to The Market Cafe to enjoy live music while indulging in a shrimp po bo’ and a strawberry double shot!
Which stimulated a philosophical internal political conversation about racial politics and material conditions. Lastly, this episode ends with me attending Bayou Bacchanal at Rendezvous! When I tell you I was in an ancestral ceremonial trance, I was elevated and elated! Comeback for episode 2 next week and complete the 7-episode series!

In-Depth Travel Review| New Orleans (Nola)| Episode7|BlackWomanVibes
#Nola #NewOrleans #Travelvlog In-Depth Travel Review| New Orleans (Nola) Review| Episode7|BlackWomanVibes The footage from this 7-episode series is from my New Orleans (Nola) travel vacation from Nov 23 2023 to Nov 28 2023. The commentary and opinions from these videos are my own.
Episode seven is the bitter sweet end. Watch me chase down a few last minute Nola items JUST to find out nothing in Nola is typical so OF COURSE the tourist attraction stores are closed on a Tuesday like a DAMN HAIR SALON‼️ Needless to say, ordering online is my next go to. Definitely get you some Leah’s pecan brittle‼️😍 While you’re at it get you some decadent hot sauce from Pepper Palace. 🤤 If you’re a HOT 🥵 Girl like me with even HOTTER taste buds, you will not be disappointed. 🌶️ Outside of me comparing and contrasting Black metrics between Boston and New Orleans, I really am at that big grown age where I DO NOT want to tolerate shit I cannot change, *especially in 2024.* I also wanna live in my Black Anarchist Communal Libratory politics. This includes my housing security AND my “rootedness” which is more or less the same. I want to be anchored in a community where I feel seen and can be my most authentic self and that’s not CRACKASS *CLASSIST* BOSTON. LAWD lolol‼️ Thank you for making it to the end of this series‼️ I appreciate your viewership. Like this video and the entire 7-video series, share these videos on your socials and subscribe. In-Depth Travel Review| New Orleans (Nola) Review| Episode6|BlackWomanVibes

Episode six I take y’all to the comedy stage to listen to what the best New Orleans has got. A couple of times comedians had me and the audience GAG’D especially when a white sheet came out from the back and my racial trauma under white hegemony went straight KKK. There were sets that I could have done without (racial humor is so clockable, uncreative, and dated [2005]). 😒 I ended the night early knowing that the next day I had to catch my flight back to CRACKASS BOSTON. LAWD lolol‼️ Outside of me comparing and contrasting Black metrics between Boston and New Orleans, I really am at that big grown age where I DO NOT want to tolerate shit I cannot change, especially in 2024. I also wanna live in my Black Anarchist Communal Libratory politics. This includes my housing security AND my “rootedness” which is more or less the same. I want to be anchored in a community where I feel seen and can be my most authentic self and that’s not CRACKASS CLASSIST BOSTON. In-Depth Travel Review| New Orleans (Nola)| Episode5|BlackWomanVibes
#Nola #NewOrleans #Travelvlog In-Depth Travel Review| New Orleans (Nola) Review| Episode5|BlackWomanVibes
The footage from this 7-episode series is from my New Orleans (Nola) travel vacation from Nov 23 2023 to Nov 28 2023. The commentary and opinions from these videos are my own.
Episode five I take y’all to brunch, . . . well a late breakfast at Cafe Beignet (they have the most endearing and vintage self-playing piano that captured my heart! But I came for the food! At Cafe Beignet is where a had their mouth watering alligator sausage eggs, grits, toast, a side of three bumps, a smooth mimosa and a bottle of water to wash half of the meal down! Side note, you will NOT regret eating gator. You’re welcome! Next we cross the street to be picked up by the Mardi Gras Shuttle Bus to Mardi Gras World! When I tell you the poor kid that never went to Disney World/Disney Land wound was fully healed at Mardi Gras World . . . between the life size and bigger floats. The 30 minute tour takes you throughout one of their multiple float warehouses, the history and creativity behind the floats and how Nola reduces, reuses, and recycles floats WITHOUT sacrificing originality. You CANNOT travel to Nola without visiting Mardi Gras World plus you get free beads that serve as your pass AND your souvenir (no titty flashing needed) ‼️ All that walking had me hungry! I followed the Black Star up to Mr. Eddy’s and had me a super loaded, creamy, cheesy crawfish bread with a side of fried gator bites with a glass or two of pineapple rum on the fly cocktail. The food as always hits a SOULFUL spot, however my brothers and sisters in Black Ass Solidarity, PLEASE reduce your sodium in take. We Black, hypertension already preying on our downfall! All the Black aesthetics including Motown throwbacks had me in my Black ass feels! Political commentary in 3…2…1 Freshened up for Comedy House New Orleans for a night of interesting funnies from locals and out of towners like me! 👀 And OF COURSE I recorded every last bit! Comeback for episode 6 next week and complete the 7-episode series!

#Nola #NewOrleans #Travelvlog In-Depth Travel Review| New Orleans (Nola) Review| Episode4|BlackWomanVibes
The footage from this 7-episode series is from my New Orleans (Nola) travel vacation from Nov 23 2023 to Nov 28 2023. The commentary and opinions from these videos are my own.
Episode four I take y’all to the 300+ year old African Drum Circle at Congo Square! This tradition began with enslaved Africans during the colonial period under the Black Codes. This tradition continues every Sunday as a method of cultural-heritage connectivity, communing, ancestor worship and artistic expression. I then refreshen for a night out at the jazzy Blue Nile! I emerged myself in some Nola live Jazz performed by The Soul Rebels! You know you’re good when you can play Juvenile’s Back That Ass Up to a funky jazzy beat! Lastly, I had to fill my watermelon margarita stomach up with Willie’s Chicken Shack! One chicken meal from Willie's will sweep up any loyalty from Chick Fil A, Wendy’s, Popeyes, Burger King and the infamous mediocre McDonald’s. Cap NOT detected. Comeback for episode 5 next week and complete the 7-episode series!

Episode three I take y’all to Cafe Du Monde for 3 bumps in Nola at City Park while I give honest critiques of the lackluster drinks menu. I show y’all the grand green space that makes up the FORMER plantation current city park! It’s massive and gorgeous! Pretty in November while the butterflies made whimsical  appearances. Black Politics is centered in this part of the video! I discuss the future of Black survival and thriv-al or the lack thereof in settler colony USA.
All that talking has me HUNGRY so I headed over to Nonno’s Cajun restaurant to eat seafood cheese fries and rum spiked lemonade! Proportions were sizable, enough for a take home plate and prices are reasonable!
This video ends on a cliff hanger. On the next episode, I’ll take y’all to the Congo Square Drum Circle (which has been a ritualistic tradition for 200 years!) a high vibrational communal ceremony and other Nola adventures!

The footage from this 7-episode series is from my New Orleans (Nola) travel vacation from Nov 23 2023 to Nov 28 2023. The commentary and opinions from these videos are my own.
Episode two I take y’all to Bacchanal Pre party where the carnival ladies peacocked in their elaborate feathers. I had to cut the festivities short for a Viator Nola French Quarter food tour!
Restaurants as followed: Red Fish - Gumbo Pepper Palace - Hot Sauce Leah’s Pralines - Bacon brittle and Pralines Napoleon House - Muffuletta Sandwich Table Au French Quarter - Tarte À La Bouillie Peychaud’s - American cocktail, The Sazerac
Strolled through Armstrong Park and read the historic landmarks and historic  plagues contextualizing the Black history that shapes Nola! Plus a personal dish session discussing personhood, social pressures and self actualization.
Lastly, not to mention a hotel room concert on Bourbon Street because it’s always live — a party on the French Quarter.
Comeback for episode 2 next week and complete the 7-episode series!
