You had caught a horrible cold that you couldn’t shake on the tail end of your month-long mission in northern Siberia. You absolutely hated being sick but what you hated the most was people seeing you so vulnerable.

You were supposed to be this unstoppable and threatening spy and yet a simple cold is what is taking you out? You let out a sigh as a series of sharp coughs expel from your throat and your eyes start to water. After putting the autopilot on, you muddle your way over from the cockpit to the cooler tucked in one of the many compartments. You break open a new water bottle and finish it within seconds. The burning in your throat subsides, but all of your attention was brought to the persistent pounding in your head. You let out a whimper, missing your girlfriend a little bit more.

“Just 3 more hours.” you mutter to yourself before dozing off.

You were awakened by someone poking your cheek. You could’ve sworn you heard someone else ask if you were dead. You let out a mumbled “No, but it feels like it.” before opening your eyes. Familiar ones look right back into yours. You go to greet your girlfriend when a coughing fit emerges. You spring up to a sitting position practically coughing your lungs up as the blonde stands there with her eyes wide open. After a few seconds go by she snaps out of it by tentatively rubbing your back. You could tell from her body language and just prior knowledge of her past that she was highly out of her element. You take a sip of your water and breathe before looking back up into your lover's eyes.

“I miss you so much, Lena.” You rasp out. She smiles down at you and places a kiss on your forehead. She instantly frowns at the feeling of your hot forehead.

“Baby, you’re burning up.How long have you been sick?” She pouts.

You roll your eyes as you try to downplay how you’re feeling. “I am fine, Yelena. It’s just a little cold. Now come on, I want to go lie down with my girlfriend that I haven’t seen in three weeks.” You shoot up from your seat and immediately feel dizzy.

Yelena is by your side in a second as she helps prop you up so that you don’t fall. She gives you a pointed look as she helps you off the jet. The two of you start bickering about you being sick as you walk through the compound.

“Baby, I promise it’s no-“ a cacophony of sneezes arise from your chest. Lena once again stands there not knowing how to help. If you weren’t in so much pain you would find it adorable.

“Jesus, Y/L/N you look like shit.” You heard from around the corner. It just so happened to be your best friend, Natasha.

“I’m fine.” You roll your eyes and try to push past the two women, but Nat knows you. She’s had to deal with your behavior quite a few times. Nat knew that you knew that there was no way in hell she was going to allow you to just not take care of yourself. After a very long staring contest you let out a whine.

“Ugh fine!” You pout. Yelena takes your hand in hers and kisses your knuckles.

“Okay, malishkia,” she chuckles. “Why don’t you go lay down?” She says in more of a question. You can tell she’s not really sure what to do but it warms your heart that she’s trying. You nod your head anyway.

…

Yelena watches as you make your way back to your shared room. As soon as you were out of her line of sight she panics.

“What do I do Nat? You gotta help me! You know that I don’t get sick! What the fuck do you do anyawy? They’re adorable like this but I don’t like to see them all sad.” Yelena panics.

“Woah, slow down there. They’re going to be fine. All you need to do is give them some ibuprofen and some soup. Y/N never needs more than that and cuddles. Don’t freak out, okay? They can just be a bit difficult but you can manage.” Nat chuckles at her sister. Yelena nods with a pout and hauls ass to the kitchen.

While Yelena is doing god knows what, you have managed to take a shower. After your shower you noticed Lena’s favorite hoodie laying on your side of the bed. Your face instantly lights up and you immediately change into the comfortable piece of clothing. You groan your way into your shared bed and wait for your Lena.

You don’t know how long later it has been since you made it into bed, but you were being awoken by Yelena. You turned to see the coffee table decorated with seven different types of soups, medicines, and a fuck ton of gatorade and water. You turned to Yelena with eyes wide. Her normal confident nature was absent. She was picking at her hands and rocking back and forth. She was nervous.

“What’s all this baby bee?” You smile as she faintly scrunches her nose at the nickname.

“You’re sick and I am here to take care of you. Nat told me you never need more than medicine, soup, and cuddles but then I didn’t know if you were allergic to something or which was your favorite so I got everything? Perks of Tony letting me use his card.” You giggle and motion for her to come to you.

“This is more than enough, my love. Thank you for taking care of me.” You kiss her forehead. You lean in to kiss her mouth but are promptly denied. It’s her time to laugh as you pout.

“No kisses or cuddles until you eat and take your meds.” You go to whine but are cut off. “Nat already told me that you can be stubborn so none of that!” You roll your eyes in defeat and sit up. You really want cuddles from your hot blonde, who can blame you?

You soon choose a soup from the ten soups Lena had laid out along with some medicine and a blue gatorade because blue is simply the best. You slowly begin to feel the effects of the medicine and become a lot needier. You make an effort to make grabby hands at your girlfriend when she is away from you for more than you want her to be.

“Angel, I promise I will be right back, okay. I just need to put the soup and medicine away and then we can cuddle.” You whine loudly. You spent the whole time waiting for Lena fighting sleep from over taking you. Just as you were about to succumb, you feel strong arms wrap around your waist.

“I love you so much, dorogoy.”

“I love you too, baby bee.”
