I am 41 years old, and there has been a Black Barbie in my home since I was a small child. There were Christie dolls and there sometimes was a Barbie doll that was simply a Barbie doll, but in Black. So, I'm unsure how old one would have to be when they were living in an era without Black Barbie dolls.

A Doll Poses Herself
Did you know that dolls take on a life of their own? They slip into some poses naturally and guide you into the position that they like. Or at least it seems that way.
Biggol (that's her name as in Big Ol' Head, based on a big headed sculpture I made) has this sensual quality to her. And it's not just her bare form, but, a tenderness that's hard to describe. Just look at the pictures above. The second pose wasn't even my idea she just nestled up like that next to me.
After printing, I was too excited to see her put together that I didn't even sand her parts before stringing them. It was an actual nightmare stringing this particular design so it's already been replaced by a much more well thought out one. I am in the process of printing the new design & I cannot wait to post about it soon!
