Family line ups are hard, especially when I do more fun poses that dont really fit in a nice little line, so im going to just start posting comps of all the designs Ive done for a family!
SO! Here is Daisy and her babies!
Bonus Ferncloud, Daisy's wife who is Daisy's kits' other mom in every way but biological! Plus Fern's son Birchfall!
SandFire + Princess family tree rewrite! And the changes below!
Brambleclaw is not the father of any of Squilfs kids, they have an unknown sire.
Cinderheart and Lionblaze only have two kids Hollytuft and Honeysnap, a character of two merged characters, Honeyfur and Snaptooth. Cinderheart and Lionblaze’s relationship is not good.
Larksong is now also a merged character of Larksong and Leafshade.
Snowbush, Amdermoon and Dewnose are now the kits of Whitewing and Birchfall.
Firestar was pretty young when he became leader and he had seen, what, four warrior ceremonies before?
So if there had been any naming traditions in the clan (such as -claw never being used for medicine cats but reversed with names that warriors can’t get, because medicine cats name their own apprentices) he wouldn’t have known.
And I’m sooo in for the sheer drama of a young Firestar, in the midst of all the other drama (Tigerstar, Tigerclan, hounds killing cats, Tawnypaw leaving, Feather Storm and Mistyfoot being around because of the purge in Tigerclan etc etc) offending the whole clan by giving a name that is considered a bad omen or inappropriate or something.
Then again if you can name a cat Lostface and the only thing that people seem to find weird in that is that the cat bearing that name didn’t like it, I can’t imagine what would be considered inappropriate.
But like, naming Brambleclaw after his blood-thirsty father could have made a few people frowning.
What if giving the “fall” suffix to someone who’s the sole survivor of their litter is considered a bad omen because the other “fell”? What if giving the suffix “flight” to someone with a prefix that isn’t a bird is considered arrogance/pointing the newly warriored arrogance? What if giving the same suffix to two siblings, even not littermates (like Darkstripe and Graystripe, or Lilyheart and Cinderheart, even if three of these four cats were named by other leaders) is considered insulting? What if using the same sets of suffixes multiple times is considered insulting too? (for example, if Berrynose had been named Berryfur, it would have been the same set of suffixes for the litter as for Sootfur, Rainwhisker and Sorreltail)
What if deciding the mentors without the parents’ approval (we saw Bluestar talk to the queens in the first arc about mentors at some point iirc) was considered the first step of a decadent area for the clan as the leader was starting not to take anyone’s opinion into consideration? Likewise, what if starting the apprentice ceremony without a warning was considered insulting to the parents, the mentors and the kits, because it didn’t let them any time to prepare?
I. Want. More. Drama. Linked. To traditions Firestar might have not known because he hadn’t been in the clan that long.
Pain is remembering that Ferncloud and Dustpelt had to bury many of their children.
Anguish is remembering that 2 of said children never knew what a full belly was like. Never knew what warm sunshine felt like. What a clan not starving to death as humans rip up the world looks like.
Agony is knowing Dustpelt had to bury the final 2 alone.
been bouncing around an au in my head for a while. i dont have much solidified yet but here’s the three and their respective parentage
finchfeather (jayfeather) is the oldest of the three, he was born shortly after whitewing and birchfall became warriors (he was.. unplanned LOL)
finch and dove are siblings as jay’s wing and dove’s wing were siblings. it just makes more sense to me
since jay and dove have bird themed names, ivy gets a new one - pigeonfall to parallel dovewing (pigeon- from doves and pigeons being in the same family; -fall from her father since -wing is from their mother). jayfeather got changed to finchfeather since he’s no longer crow’s son (jays and crows are corvids)
holly and lion inherited their “manes” from leafpool’s side of the family
u can see the “order” of the three by the # of white dots on their faces lol
pigeon gets green eyes cuz pretty
finch can perceive light and shadows, but not much else. to him, starclan cats radiate very brightly its almost impossible for even him to miss them.
squirrelflight has fertility issues, yellowfang did lie about being completely barren, though. she and brambleclaw had been trying for kits for moons so he considered it a miracle by the time the three were finally born. it was considered a cryptic pregnancy as whitewing didnt know she was pregnant until her third trimester!
sandstorm, daisy, and ferncloud noticed leafpool’s pregnancy. the latter two kept quiet, and had to convince sandstorm not to mention it before leafpool was ready.
i dont havw any other notes rn but maybe i’ll post more of this au later lol
What if the kin of your kin still happened but Whitewing and Birchfall had all the kittens? The prophecy doesn't explain how many kits will be had though so Squirrel and a happy Bramble have their four cannon children early and Firestar watches them like a hawk only for it not to be any of his grandkits but his great great nephews and nieces. Kindly asking to see the Three as Whitewing and Brichfall's kits with Dove and Ivy in the same litter.
giving them all powers, who's going to stop me, the erins?
Ferncloud and Dustpelt are platonic partners that co-parent their kits. Ferncloud is aroace but always wanted kits and was good friends with Dustpelt, so she asked him if he wanted to co-parent and he agreed.
While Dustpelt isn’t ace, no one in ThunderClan caught his eye except for Birchfall’s other bio parent, but because of the clans stigma and his own internal struggles with half-clan relations.
Ferncloud was aware of this relationship as Dustpelt was confiding with her about it, so when Dustpelt came to the nursery one night with three kits, she had a pretty good understanding straight away.
Thunderclan knew the kits weren’t Ferncloud’s but just like how her mother was allowed to keep the sire of her kits private, no one is allowed to insist on an answer.
Daisy’s family is mostly the same except for MINNOWMOUSE! Minnowtail and Mousewhisker have two daughters Spotfur and Flywhisker!
Spotfur still has her kits with Stemleaf, they’ll just be in Millie’s family tree.
