Official day 1 of my ✨ Road to Thesis ✨

I love coming home for the weekend when I get the chance, my mom has a giant plant jungle in the house which really helps with the study aesthetics and I get to hang out with the fam (especially the cat).

It’s a great opportunity to slow down a bit and reset too. I need finish my introduction draft as soon as possible because I have a ton of new data to analyse and I hate seeing that work pile up.

Today I took the chance to steal my mom’s desk for the evening and I’m determined to finish my topic on why Drosophila is a good animal model in biomedicine. I love those bugs but it’s some of the most boring writing I’ve done recently.

I realized a lot of my lack of motivation reflects on me distracting myself with my phone everytime I get the chance, so I’m setting a counscious goal to spend less time on it and I’m starting on not going on it before bed and when I wake up.

10.11.19 - i had a semi productive day! i went to the library to get some work done and worked pretty solidly, but didn’t get through a whole lot of content... and a picture from when i went to edinburgh a few weeks ago because i had a really good time :^)

I know everything’s rlly awful rn but I just got the best news that I finally get to work helping people get better (as a part-time physiotherapist assistant) and in cardiology, an area I’m super interested in, whilst studying biomed and being hopefully on my way to post-grad med so i couldn’t be happier :)
