hi! so, first of all, i love your khajiit art, it's awesome to see someone expanding on khajiit lore in such a thoughtful and interesting way. second of all, i have been looking for ages for any information on marriage in khajiit culture and i have found little. obviously there ARE marriages in elsweyr, but i wanna know traditions: what clothes are worn, what kinds of rings are exchanged, if any, what foods are eaten, etc. but i cant find anything! do you have opinions on this? i'd love to hear!
thank you very much! i can't help with official lore sources (since ESO came out i stopped following that :')) but i do have my own headcanons on the matter!
marriages are a big deal when it involves the linking of two notable families/clans. in the northern regions, where clans are more important to everyday life and social structure, notable members marrying are grounds for large celebrations and larger amounts of discourse between family heads. expected topics include with whom the family will live, how both spouses fit the clan's skill and values and of course, how [insert party currently talking] is better than [insert the other clan involved]
marriages are more important by the greater families union they provide than other aspects surrounding the actual individuals. as a strongly communal society, to khajiit, marrying is first and foremost to officialize your relationship with a partner in relation to what that means for your families. the formation of elsweyr itself under that name happened with a marriage, and that historical example is propped up by some as what should be the cultural standard.
when a marriage does happen, it's a huge party. both sides of the couple's family come over to show off and have fun. it's a good occasion to meet other people and demonstrate the skills and power of you and your clan. as with all big parties, there will be guests who have nothing to do with either families coming too! those party crashers can just come for fun, but some attend to make connections and deals while taking advantage of the events.
romance, sex and having kids are not that tied to the concept. for marriages between important people, if they do have kids matters a lot but it's not that linked to the marriage in itself. khajiit are not very strict when it comes to why and how you have your lovers. it isn't a shame to have sex outside of marriage (including if you end up with kids), and if you are indeed married and want a lover, the big deal won't be ruining a sanctity of marriage, but more what your partner thinks of it. it is however considered unsightly to marry someone you do not have some feelings for, as well as marrying your friend for each other's benefits. again, greater family above all
who was there when it happens and how much you talk about your union are probably the most important factors for officializing it all. divorce isn't really a thing because khajiit aren't bureaucratic. if your marriage falls apart, it's up to you to make it clear you are ending it and face the likely familial backlash. it is however completely acceptable to marry several times - if your spouse is gone, if you find a better one... if that latter case applies and both sides don't remarry, the one who doesn't might get a bad rep. marriages between more than two people aren't a social norm, and while you might have a clan mother who celebrates that, it is rare and polyamoursly inclined khajiit tend to not marry at all and just stay lifelong lovers with their partners.
The only place in my personal khajiit musings where I explored marriage was for my own characters - Ma'Jahrann's parents, Elaahni and Qa'Husar. In those two, each hails from a very different culture - Elaahni is from a more traditionalist mid-sized Anequina clan, and Qa'Husar is from the southern parts with a more cosmopolitan structure, born to a small immediate family who dissolved as he grew up. Their marriage was a bit of a deal when it happened. Elaahni was a local celebrity and her family didn't see too kindly the nobody from those big humid cities marrying their daughter. Qa'Husar himself had to face acquiring a gigantic extended family overnight which he had no experience with. Both ended up fucking off to a smaller town where they settled on an in-between of living a settled lifestyle close with the local community, with Elaahni's close relatives visiting when they saw fit.

Sunshine on Sakaar - Prologue
AN: Hello, dear readers! So when I was writing The Twin Flames, I started thinking about how Sunshine would react during the Avengers Civil War. A big part of her character is conflict avoidance and being a big people pleaser, so my first thought is that she would have tried not to pick a side until she was forced to do so. The other thought I had was what if she was never involved? How would she not be involved? What if she ended up on Saakar with Bruce? I decided that the idea didn't make as much sense as her being on earth and honestly, I think the Civil War scenes really add to her character progression, but I wrote them anyway because I thought it was funny and people are always asking for more Sunshine and Loki, so here it is! I ask that you don't take this too seriously, it's not really going to be a series, just mostly some scenes and drabbles, but I hope you enjoy!

"Hey, guys," Sam calls, stumbling through the rubble of what was left of Sokovia. "Where is she?"
The realization dawns on Steve suddenly. He left you on the Quinjet. You were still on the Quinjet. The Quinjet that Hulk just took off in. "Nat, when you say Bruce took off..."
Nat claps a hand over her mouth, "Oh my God."
"Guys," Sam calls again, this time with more urgency. "Where is she?"
Steve turns to Sam with a morose expression. "I'm so sorry, Sam."
Sam's chest heaves with panic, jumping to the worst conclusions, "No, no, she's fine. She was hurt, but you said you were-"
"I did," Steve immediately replies, "I didn’t mean that she’s- she’s alive.”
“But?”
“But I put her on the jet, Sam," Steve explains, his voice hollow yet thick with guilt. "To - to keep her safe while she was passed out. I left her on the jet."
"You left her alone?" Sam bitterly accuses.
"The team, they needed me. I thought she'd be safe there, out of harm's way."
"Where's the jet now, Steve?" Sam demands.
"Bruce - Hulk, actually, is with her. He's flying the jet."
Sam helplessly clutches his damaged wing, unable to take off and look for the jet. "The Hulk is flying the Quinjet right now? Are you kidding me?"
"Nat's tapping into their comms right now. Who knows Pinkie Pie might be up and piloting her way back here as we speak!" Tony offers in an attempt to console him.
"Because we're just always that lucky," Sam sarcastically retorts. He shakes his head, doing his best to remain confident and optimistic for your return, "It's okay, it's alright. You know, we just need to find the jet. We can find them and all this will be over."
"I'm in," Nat announces.
"So where are they?"
"He's flying in stealth mode."
Sam angrily groans, "Of course he is."
"Hey, big guy. You did it. Job's finished. Now, I need you to turn this bird around, okay? We can't track you in stealth mode."
Natasha hears a loud clang of Hulk's heavy fist against the console. She flinches at the sound. "I know you're hurt but your friend is back there and she needs you right now. Please."
Another loud smash of Hulk's fist causes the screen to flicker in and out.
Sam takes over, grabbing Nat's wrist and shouting into the little hologram screen, "Bruce, I swear to God, you bring her back. You hear me, you bring your ass back here right now!"
The screen flickers for an even longer moment, Nat turns to Sam with a remorseful look, "Sam, we’re about to lose all communication."
Sam turns to Tony with a pleading, frantic expression, "Tony, there's gotta be something we can do. Pull them out of stealth mode! Go after them! Do something!"
"I'm trying!" Tony frustratedly exclaims. "If I could do that it wouldn't be much of a stealth mode would it?"
"Tony...."
"Romanov, buy me some more time, keep him talking," Tony orders.
"Come on, big guy, pl-" Nat's words are abruptly cut off with a blank screen.
Sam's eyes flash over to Natasha, "What just happened? Nat, what just happened?"
"He just shut us off."
"Now what?"
"They could be anywhere."

The Dialectical Humanism of Big-Ass Robots: An Intro
“There’s a deep, earnest seriousness to most mecha shows (especially within the “real robot” subgenre) that implores the audience to grapple with intricate ideas and themes drawn from philosophers like Aristotle, Nietzche, and Rousseau, oftentimes complete with allegorical mouthpieces for competing ideologies.”
My high school students always lose their shit when I tell them that I, Coach Werner, also watch anime. I kinda feel bad about it. By now, I know I’ll see the excitement die from their eyes little by little as they pepper me with questions, searching for a connection with show after show after show.
“Coach, have you seen Jojo?”
“Nope.”
“What about DBZ or Naruto?”
“Not since before you were born.”
“Attack on Titan? Utena? Tokyo Ghoul?”
“Not yet, though they’re on my list.”
“The fuck Coach? I thought you said you watch anime!”
When I tell them I mostly watch mecha, they get confused. After I explain that mecha are the ones with jumbo-sized robots, they groan. I’ve even had one kid say that didn’t count. As a general rule, I try to not let the opinions of 15 year olds hurt my feelings; I only docked his grade a couple points.
Tumblr media
Whatever my students may think, oversized anthropomorphized robots have fascinated me since I was a kid. Over the years, as I’ve revisited shows from my youth and found new mechanized, cel shaded rabbit holes to tumble down, I’ve tried to figure out what exactly was so appealing about the genre. There’s definitely a bit of wish fulfillment, a sorta kaiju-sized power fantasy, sure, but that’s not all of it. Same with intricate sci-fi world building, and of course the thrill of pew-pew dogfights and beam saber duels. But none of those alone seemed to account for the whole thing. They’re all fun set dressing, definitely worth a watch on their own but not enough, I don’t think, to capture my imagination for nearly a quarter of a century.
This series, The Dialectical Humanism of Big-Ass Robots, started off as a rambling, borderline incoherent and definitely substance enhanced diatribe that tried to explain how excited I was for the first episodes of Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch From Mercury. It feels right, though, both the name and the bigger through line.
There’s a deep, earnest seriousness to most mecha shows (especially within the “real robot” subgenre) that implores the audience to grapple with intricate ideas and themes drawn from philosophers like Aristotle, Nietzche, and Rousseau, oftentimes complete with allegorical mouthpieces for competing ideologies. There’s also the slightly goofy and always physics-defying “rule of cool” concepts of the robots themselves–I mean, who doesn’t want to see a boom cannon with angel wings, or a crucified rage monster, or transforming karaoke jets?–that can easily be laughed off as a kid’s cartoon. Any foolhardy (read: hubristic and dumbasstic) attempt to try to find unifying threads within such a wide and varied genre has to address both of those tendencies. Here, friend, you will find one such foolhardy attempt.
Tumblr media
Mecha anime, more than any other subgenre, has a fundamental tension summarized by two infuriatingly simultaneous, contradictory truths:
Anthropomorphized mechs bring out the best in humanity, allowing us to overcome our flaws and leap forward into a better future.
Anthropomorphized mechs feed into the worst traits of humanity, allowing us to destroy ourselves in new and technologically advanced ways.
Those two overwhelmingly common truths, when taken together, can be summarized in fancy philosophy jargon with just two words: dialectical humanism.
Dialectics is a concept pioneered (in the West, at least) by Georg Wilhelm Friedrich Hegel during the late 18th and early 19th century. There’s literally a whole field of study called “Hegelian Dialectics that we’ll touch on from time to time, but the main thing to know is that two mutually exclusive and contradictory ideas are often both true at the same time.
Humanism has a long, fraught history, but the most common Western interpretations stem from Enlightenment-era ideals. Essentially, humanism boils down to the belief that humankind can progress beyond its animalistic nature through a combination of empathy and rational thinking. Again, we’ll be touching on a whole slew of humanist thinkers throughout this series.
Tumblr media
So that’s The Dialectical Humanism of Big-Ass Robots. I feel like mecha shows–from Astro Boy to Zeta Gundam, and almost everything in between–play with this dialectic, where the mechs themselves represent humanity’s ultimate destruction and ultimate salvation simultaneously. Sometimes we struggle to survive, sometimes we overcome and thrive, and sometimes we find ourselves transformed into an ocean of pink goo.
In this series, we’ll look at:
Magical Newtype Bullshit and radical empathy
Depression, memory, and trauma, and why Shinji can’t just get in the fucking robot
The power of music (and love, hope, and propaganda) in a transforming space city
And much, much more.
Now, if you’ll excuse me, I have to go watch a Tanuki pilot a Gundam.

what is your most favorite form of animation in your opinion?
OHHHH WHAT A THOUGHT PROVOKING QUESTION!! i love this!
the famous Eliza copout answer would be to go “ALL OF THEM”, and there is genuine truth in that! but i can’t entirely kid myself, i’m such a sucker for traditional hand-drawn animation. part of that comes from a sense of familiarity, but i really, REALLY love how inescapably human it is. there’s a human touch in every pencil stroke or brush stroke on a cel, etc., etc. i’m incredibly big on feeling a connection with the artists that made this possible, the demonstration that yes, this literal feat of magic is possible and here is someone physically doing it right now… not to say other mediums are exempt from this (which is a point i’m about to indulge in shortly), but, at least for me, i just feel the most powerful connection with traditional animation. actually getting to see the pencil lines on paper. seeing where the cel paint has maybe begun to smudge or chip with age or human error. it’s a living archive of human touch. and i love how that is able to translate in the actual product itself—not just talking about looking at relics! (which is another benefit: physical relics!!!)
BUT! i have to say that i am also a HUUUUUUUGE fan of puppetry and stop motion. the day the stigma of puppets being scary dies is the day i will be a free and joyous not-so-man.. and yes! this includes all puppets! like traditional animation, i LOOOOOVE how innately human it feels, maybe even MORESO than traditional animation. you always always always feel the human touch involved. that, and it’s just so CREATIVE! so many cool ways to make art!!! so many wonderful set designs you can have! so many creative PUPPET designs you can have! the challenge of making these characters or sets feel lifelike or, at the very least, convincing to your intent.
it’s a big reason why i love Popeye cartoons as much as i do, since they combine two of my greatest animation loves (traditional animation + physical 3D sets) and it’s truly a magical experience to see them together.
this is also where i take the time to shill Beany and Cecil. WATCH BEANY AND CECIL!!!!!!! more recordings have been recently uncovered and they’re wonderful!! reading Bob Clampett’s interview with Mike Barrier and Milt Gray and how he got emotional talking about his experience working on it made ME emotional! it’s one of the reasons why i love and resonate with his work so much, i definitely share a very similar reverence for stop motion and puppetry. tell me you don’t crack a smile watching this
youtube
and the great Frank Tashlin did stop motion of his own!! which, again, is why i love and resonate with HIS work so much too!!
youtube
BUT YES!! this is just a blip really—i love so many styles and mediums of animation for different reasons, and look forward to all the ways well be able to incorporate these various styles and techniques together. animation is such a great feat and so beautiful through its versatility; we’d get a lot more done if there were fewer arguments about what the Best way to animate is and, more accurately, how we can adapt and combine and innovate new ways to continuously reach new potential we’ve never seen before

Sir Bertrand Mcguffingan from District 2 is exactally what the Capitol expects when hearing the word Victor: a born killer in golden armor with silly anthics and the same levels of empathy a brick wall has for the unfortunate driver that hitted it (and vaguely the same brains). That is in itself odd. People shouldn't be so blasé about the constant slaughter of their neighboors even when treated as special for it. But that's the wonder of the career districts and Bertie isn't special even in his awfullness.
Hamid Saleh Haroun al-Tahan from 1 is more likely what one would expect from a career. Someone that always felt a bit unconfortable with the games but not enough to actually see something bad with it. Specially not when most of his family is made of victors and important people nor when his friends were all up to it. Gideon was a legend after all. Someone who was way too soft but always pretended not to be until he won his games and couldn't drive the nightmares alway. Couldn't pretend it had all been worth it.
Zolf Smith from four was barely a career. He did what he had to do to survive both in games and outside of it and while he respected Barnes he never bought the honor talk the other Victor tried to use to keep himself sane. He was cynical and realist and he lost more and more of himself at every kid he send to die.
Howard Carter from 5 was a surprise only because he voluntered by a random impulse and maybe just a hope that winning would make the judment stop. It didn't. He drank a lot nowdays.
Azu from District 8 should not have survived. She was physically strong but she had a big bleeding heart and not a single one of her peers had any hope she would get out of it. They liked her, loved her even. But when she got out of the arena, blood on her pink clothes and tears for the friends she lost people were shocked. She always lit a candle for the lost in the temple of Afrodite. The fact she was still soo good was probably the surprise.
Grizzop Drik Ach Armsterdam from Distric 11 knew his way with a bow and took no punches from anyone. He was a force of nature. He didn't regret winning nor the people he had to kill but he hated the system that made him do it with passion. The fact that the Capital had let him mostly by himself was probably the biggest surprise.
Celiquillithon "Cel" Sidebottom from 3 was the Victor everyone hoped to be. Not because they were coping better than any of the others but because they were still abble to build a comunity afterwards. Because they took care of the people of their district, used their money and inventions to help, visited their homes, offered smiles and advices and did the best they could. And people noticed it. They counted on Cel. It was a complicated situation because it was the perfect grounds for a revolution but also because the Capital had the whole District as form to keep them in line.
Sasha Rackett from District 12 came from nowhere. She was a poor kid from a forgotten place with no carisma and no mentor and she should've died. She was too sincere and too standofish and too good with a knife and small spaces and the way she cried when her district partner died and the way she killed and the way she smiled like she didn't want to be there. There was something about Sasha.
Oscar Wilde was not a Victor. In fact for most people he was as Capital as they come and he was fine with it. No one needed to know about his late mother nightmares or Esperanza or an arena she refused to talk about even when it cleared haunted her. His sister died in the districts, his accent died quickly after in the Capitol. He trusted the Capital goverment as much as he could throw them (so taking in consideration his lack of upper body strengh and the fact they were all dragons not at all) and the Harlequins trusted him even less. None of it mattered. What mattered was that the Victors loved him in front of the cameras and every single one hated him when the lights turned out and the interview was over and it was fine. No one suspects the press of revolution wich is absolutly stupid but he is fine with it. No one suspects a spy of anything as long as they are doing a good job.
None of them fit very well as the biggest hope the world has of changing. Not the way Curie and her Council (apart from Einsten) did. Not even the way Earhart did. But no one actually fits the roles the world gives them, they just have to keep trying.

[Review] Bomb Rush Cyberfunk (PS5)
Tumblr media
Jet Set Radio Future 2 is here, and it's all I ever wanted.
When Team Reptile made Lethal League and—more precisely—its sequel, they did an excellent job capturing the feel and aesthetic of Sega's Jet Set Radio games in a new genre. Now they've only gone and bloody done it - made an actual Jet Set Radio homage game, and it's an absolute stunner! Specifically, this is a pitch-perfect pastiche of Jet Set Radio Future, acting as a sequel to the 2002 classic in all but name, and since that particular instalment is a personal favourite of mine, I couldn't be happier.
Tumblr media
BRC seems to deeply understand what was great about JSRF and then faithfully and lovingly recreates it, with some new ideas and refinements to boot. In case you need catching up, it's a sort of urban street punk adventure: you get around, grind, and trick on inline skates, tag graffiti all over, contest with rival gangs, and avoid the overzealous police force. The world is colourful and detailed but a bit low-poly with a cel-shaded filter, and levels are set up as huge skatepark playgrounds. All the while a soundtrack of fresh beats including hip-hop, house, and electropop accompanies you.
Tumblr media
In BRC the structure of story-related tasks broken up by exploration returns, the levels full of collectibles to give you new colour schemes, music tracks, graffiti designs, etc. as well as just setpieces to "platform" around. A fast-travel system helps you get between areas, some of which replay the hits of JSRF while others explore new territory like a mall complex or industrial oil rig; the setting of New Amsterdam nods to the developer's Dutch origin but in practice it feels like it would easily fit in Tokyo-to (disclaimer, I have never visited The Netherlands). In addition to skates you have skateboards and BMX, each one having slightly different manoeuvrability plus the chance to open certain doors in the game world: for example, a skateboard can trick on fire hydrants to get elevated to a handful of secret areas. This gives more of a reason to have different ones on hand but can feel like an arbitrary passkey check.
Tumblr media
Movement is aided by the new boost pack mechanic, which gives you an enormously useful air-dash. A boost meter gives you some speed but can also freshen up trick combos and extend your manual, while it's refilled by tricking (like in Sonic Rush), so doing these cool lines and combos feeds back into movement in a satisfying way. Cans have been done away with entirely so you can tag at any time without worry, and graffiti minigames have actually been brought back from the original JSR, except here they're super quick and snappy, and your inputs determine which of your unlocked tags goes up which keeps the visuals fresh.
Tumblr media
A handy new feature is the flip-phone menu (reminiscent of The Arcane Kids' vaguely JSR-esque Zineth). It's great for flavour but also lets you get tips from teammates or contact new recruits, check out your range of graffiti designs and how to write them, consult a persistent minimap while highlighting tag spots, or change the currently playing music. And speaking of the soundtrack, it's sublime, a heady mix and perfect tonal accompaniment that even includes three tracks from the funky uncle himself Hideki Naganuma (much like Hover before it)... and if you ask me they're some of his best.
Tumblr media
Another way BRC expands slightly on JSRF's template is a bit more emphasis on plot, with a central mystery revolving around recently-decapitated protagonist Red, his new cyberhead, and his connections to the previous top dogs in the city's counterculture. This framing fumbles at times, but it gives more purpose to your interactions with other rudies and conflicts with the cops, and interstitial sequences between chapters lets the game reinterpret JSRF's surreal climax in a dream context.
Tumblr media
I've been eagerly awaiting this game and as a big fan of JSRF it didn't disappoint. BRC takes everything I loved about that (now slightly creaky and inaccessible) game and gives it a fresh coat of paint. I've seen people gripe about the price and playtime but both are about on par with the game that it styles itself as a love letter to, so it would be disingenuous of me to complain about either. Better by far to celebrate what an awesome achievement this game is in recapturing a unique classic while brilliantly modernising it. Bomb Rush Cyberfunk reminds me why I love video games.

I'm more of a writer than an artist! So you probably wont see a lot of clawdia art but I do have her bio! Contains Chapter 3 spoilers
Clawdia was originally an orphan named Victoria Felice. Victoria was known for being a playful, if high minded girl. She excelled at the games and saw the other kids as competition. After she was turned into her Bigger Body, Clawdia began to regret how she treated the rest of the kids. She hated her new form but knew going up against the scientists was futile.
Until that fateful morning, when the midmorning hour shattered with the sound of the alarm. Clawdia couldn't remember much. One moment she was lingering about in the pool area, the next thing she knew she was staring at her paws. Stained bloody red.
After the hour of joy, Clawdia was taken in by CatNap. For a time she stayed, but soon his fanatical worship of the Prototype was to much for her. During CatNap's hunt, Clawdia made a run for it.
Clawdia eventually found a cavern untouched by life and made a home for herself. Later she was joined by another group of toys who sought refuge from CatNap's cult. They sustained themselves with small animals and carcass.
By the time of the game, Clawdia's snootyness was largely gone. Save for occasional moments, she was focused on survival. When she meets the player for the first time, she argues with Poppy over whether they could trust them. Clawdia tells the player how they all came to be and what became of the bigger body Smiling Critters.
There were plans for regular Clawdia plushies but it never came to fruition. The reason Playtime Co. started with Big!Clawdia was to bank on the success of Big!CatNap. They wanted to use the Big Clawdia as some sort of a marketing tool for Series 2. Concept art & cels still exists.
Clawdia prefers being called that. She only reserved her real name for her closest friends, all who are now dead. Before Victoria wanted to be an actress and often acted out scenes from books.
Cartoon!Clawdia I talked about before but to recap, She's your typical spoiled rich kid. She's part of clique called the Frowny Critters, evil counterparts to the SC. Clawdia has a crush on DogDay and schemes to have him at her side. She cannot stand his positive outlook and hopes to change it. She also resents living under CatNap's shadow as the favored feline.

My favourite Disney movie ౨ৎ
A review written by Cel
Tumblr media
I finally decided to write my love and thoughts about this movie after never finding enough words for it. Tangled is the first 3D animated Disney movie with a disney princess and was their animated studios' 50th movie. It is loosely based on the german fairytale "Rapunzel" by the brothers Grimm from the early 1800s. Some of Disney's previous disney princess movies had also been based on the brothers Grimm fairytales. As we can see in the animated movie we're introduced to this kingdom called Corona, this place is based on the german culture and architecture along with some characters' names. The music is written and composed by the infamous Alan Menken, whom I've admired his work for as long as I can remember, he has composed for Disney multiple times such as the soundtrack for The Little Mermaid. I officially became a fan of him earlier last year when I started watching Tangled's sequel series "Rapunzel's tangled adventure" where he had also composed the music, I definitely recommend watching it if you really enjoyed the movie. One would assume it is some type of spin-off but surprisingly it connects with all the details from the original movie.
Tumblr media
To start off with my love for this: I was never a big fan of this movie as a little kid as I am right now. Of course I knew all the words to the songs and the storyline, but I was more of a Cinderella and Frozen kid. Even so, this movie was still on repeat on my family's TV most of my childhood and I safely assume the DVD got ruined because of how much it played.
Tangled is my favourite Disney movie and have been for a very long time. I don't remember when it really got to me, but it was always a comfort movie I could watch all the time if I felt bored or didn't have any movie choices in mind. After watching it atleast once a month (unaware of the amount of rewatches), I felt emotionally attached to it and I knew I could relate to Rapunzel. She is a witty, creative, and curious 18 yr old girl who had been trapped in a tower for most of her life without knowing the true meaning about it. My favourite relatable thing about her is the amount of hobbies she mentions in "When will my life begin?". Disney did really well showing domestic abuse and passive aggression from mother Gothel, us as the viewers already know that she's the bad guy in the story but Rapunzel doesn't which makes her relationship with her feel so natural. Her realisation is one of my favourite scenes because of the recollection of her early memories. I feel the intention of this was to help young children who watches it would maybe realise if they are actually being treated badly and neglected. Of course a young kid wouldn't pick up the bits and pieces that fast but it is easy for someone to think their treatment and relationship with their parents are natural which is the same case with Rapunzel.
Tumblr media
Now with Rapunzel's romance that I am very fond of. If you really think about the time Rapunzel and Eugene spent together and the ending of the movie, it is quite weird how they just got married already. They met a day before her 18th birthday, he was on the run and she wanted to see the "floating lights". The fact that Eugene was canonically 26 years old in the movie which can seem pretty weird, but in the series they reveal he was 23 as he turns 26 at the end of the last season. I love how they didn't make them flirty at the start of their friendship which obviously would be natural for two strangers and especially for a girl who's never talked to another human being other than her mother. Flynn Rider, the name Eugene went by, was not happy with this trip he had to do if he wanted his satchel back. It's just wholesome to watch them progress throughout the movie and the way their feelings begins to develop. I like to think Rapunzel admired him from the start, as Eugene fell for her later on. If their relationship had a trope I would definitely say the "she fell first, but he fell harder" trope. In the sequel series, they start the story some months (i think) after Rapunzel returned to her real parents. But she and Eugene hasn't been married yet, she actually said no first because she felt insecure and was still trying to be used to her new life. Their relationship took years with complicated feelings and miscommunication which is one of the best parts of the series. Me personally would've said "yes" right away to Eugene. He is probably the most handsome and dare I say best Disney man. I mean they did put a group of women at the studio to work out his best design..
This is definitely the best animated movie among Disney for me, every scene is just satisfying to watch and it's like letting your brain rest for over an hour. They captured such beautiful moments in animation and perfected it so well with dialogue and music. One of my biggest dreams would be to watch this on a big screen with a live orchestra, and possibly Mandy Moore and Zachary Levi sing too.
Tumblr media
I also want to address the live action of Tangled because of the current rumours about the castings. As far as I know, Disney hasn't fully confirmed that the live action is in the works and everything so far is just rumours or assumptions. Only a few days ago 1-2 articles had been found informing that Disney has reportedly casted Avantika Vandanapu and Milo Manheim as Rapunzel and Eugene. This caught a huge amount of attention and controversy on social media, and my biggest problem with this is how people actually believe it. I really thought we were past believing absolute everything we see on the internet, especially from websites we've never gotten information from. Because why would a website almost no one reads suddenly have Disney's thoughts of their cast? Worst is the people believing this and being racist about it. Avantika had never been a choice in my fancast for Rapunzel as she doesn't fit her description, but that does NOT mean she shouldn't be allowed to play her as there are plenty versions of white Rapunzels from before. The people using this casting to compare it with saying "Tiana/Moana should be played by a *white woman*" are who annoy me the most in this situation. I've had multiple arguments with different people the past couple of days because of stating how comparing those two are not fair and the inaccurate casting isn't the same difference. First of all: Tiana's appearance and storyline are based on her skin colour and culture as she's an afro-american woman from the 1920s in New Orleans. In parts of her movie her "background" even gets represented as a problem for her to achieve her dream, this movie is obviously made to represent our beautiful black people in the world. Shocked they didn't get a representation until 2009. Second: Moana is based FULLY on polynesian culture and through polynesian mythology, even her voice actor was encouraged to be a part of that. Auli'i Cravalho, her voice actor, is native Hawaiian and encourages their culture along with the music Lin Manuel Miranda wrote. At last: Comparing this rumoured Rapunzel casting to Tiana or Moana is wrong as her story isn't meant for representation of oppression and not based on her skin colour. Yes, it is loosely based on the brothers Grimm's fairytale which is German and the movie does show German details in the story but things will always change and they already are. Why not let today's children grow up with beautiful characters that can let them feel as included as every white person can with the previous characters? I can say this has never been a problem to me growing up even though none of the disney princesses looked like me, it still makes children aware of it at some point and when I realised I didn't have a disney princess that looked or was based remotely on people like ME, I began hoping Disney would make a south-east Asian princess. That's why I agree that Disney should start making new disney princess movies representing more people instead of not having an accurate casting for the character but honestly, Rapunzel's SKIN colour is not that relevant to her story at all. Anyway, my fancast for Tangled has always been Meg Donnelly and Milo Manheim after watching the Zombies movies. They have great chemistry and both of them sing perfectly! I'm excited to see how this live action movie will turn out, after Halle Bailey's "The Little Mermaid" I hope it will be as amazing.
Tumblr media
My love for Tangled is endless but to finish my review I want to thank you for reading all the way down here. If I was only allowed to watch one movie the rest of my life I might have chosen this or a 2-3 hour long just to be entertained longer. The amount of times I've watched this has made me able to recite most of the scenes and the whole film is engraved to my mind. I think if I had enough time and peace I could literally sit still and watch the movie scene by scene in my mind. Again, thank you for reading!

Review: Puss in Boots: The Last Wish (2022)
Puss in Boots: The Last Wish (2022)
Rated PG for action/violence, rude humor/language, and some scary moments
Tumblr media
<Originally posted at https://kevinsreviewcatalogue.blogspot.com/2023/12/review-puss-in-boots-last-wish-2022.html>
Score: 5 out of 5
Puss in Boots: The Last Wish is a movie I missed last year, which made it kind of annoying to hear so many people praising it to the heavens as one of the best animated films in years, not least of all because I'm the kind of guy who does not like spoilers. Flying down to Florida just in time to share a house with three little kids over Christmas break gave me the perfect opportunity to check it out, and the only thing I'm disappointed about is not seeing it sooner. It doesn't reinvent the wheel or have any pretensions of being a particularly revelatory movie, but it's still an outstandingly well-put-together one in everything from the animation to the characters to the humor to the mayhem. Putting it side-by-side with Shrek, the film that put DreamWorks Animation in the spotlight and which this one is a sequel to a spinoff of, shows just how much the studio has evolved in the twenty-plus years since then, going from mischievous, Looney Tunes-esque pop culture spoofs with barbs aimed directly at Disney to a kind of family-friendly, character-driven adventure comedy that's clearly inspired by the Mouse but still has enough unique style and dramatic edge to stand out. I don't really have much to add to the conversation on this one except to say that it's easily one of the best films that DreamWorks has ever made, especially given what I thought of the movie they released just eight months before this, and one that I expect to stick around as a classic just like Shrek itself.
Set in a fantasy/fairy-tale version of Spain, our eponymous protagonist is an intelligent cat who has exploited his nine lives to become an adventurer who doesn't fear death... at least, not until he loses his eighth life thanks to his carelessness fighting a monster attacking a town. Suddenly, he no longer feels so invincible, especially once he encounters a mysterious wolf bounty hunter who seeks to claim his ninth and final life after watching him squander his previous eight. Going into retirement in an elderly cat lady's home after burying his sword and gear, Puss is dragged back to the world of adventure when Goldilocks, the thuggish leader of the Three Bears Crime Family (guess who her "enforcers" are), seeks to hire him to find the Wishing Star, a magical rock that would grant one wish to whoever discovers it -- and she won't take no for an answer. Puss decides that this star is his key to regaining his nine lives, and with help from an old flame named Kitty Softpaws, he sets out to find it himself, staying one step ahead of Goldilocks, the evil businessman "Big" Jack Horner who wants it for his own ends, and of course, the Wolf.
The look of the film is one of the most immediately striking things about it. While it's not the first film to use cel shading to make computer animation emulate the look of hand-drawn animation while being distinct from both (Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse and The Mitchells vs. the Machines did something similar recently), it's going for a different set of influences than those films, its look instead resembling a mix of the fairy tale artwork that the Shrek movies have always spoofed and anime in the action scenes. The settings feel lifted almost from a highly stylized painting or storybook, while the action looks downright sublime, the film's characters doing battle, chasing one another, and facing various treacherous foes on their quest for the Wishing Star in all manner of awesome ways. Even as cats, Puss and Kitty came across as credible and cool adventure heroes, especially with Antonio Banderas and Salma Hayek Pinault leaning heavily into their live-action screen personas, Banderas playing Puss as a riff on Zorro where the only real "parody" element comes from his species and Hayek playing Kitty as the cool femme fatale who has history with the hero that they'll inevitably have to settle. Florence Pugh was hilarious doing her best gender-flipped Ray Winstone impression as Goldilocks, especially with the real Winstone himself voicing one of the three bears (alongside Olivia Colman and Samson Kayo), while John Mulaney made Horner into an absolute bastard who I couldn't wait to see get his well-deserved comeuppance. At first glance, with three separate groups of characters all racing for the Wishing Star, this film can feel sprawling, and yet it always manages to tie these three stories together in a way that feels organic.
The key to doing this was the Wolf. From the moment we're introduced to him, he's presented as a metaphorical representation of death itself, an impossibly skilled fighter who trounces and nearly kills Puss in their first encounter and who is seemingly unstoppable from that point onward, every meeting he has with Puss feeling like it could be their last. The film's comedy stops dead cold whenever the whistling announcing his arrival starts up, Wagner Moura's performance lending him an almost demonic menace without going over-the-top into cackling supervillainy. He is one of the best villains I've seen in any animated film in a long while, a no-nonsense monster whose evil combines the most terrifying elements of an unstoppable force of nature and somebody who hates you personally, the closest thing that a family film could come to an outright slasher movie villain. There have been many jokes made about this film having one of the most realistic depictions of a panic attack in any animated film, but watching it, it was no joke: I understood immediately how this guy completely disarmed Puss' suave, arrogant demeanor and left him a trembling wreck running for his life. The Wolf wasn't just scary, he was a perfect villain for Puss, a representation of how his wasted life is finally catching up with him, and watching Puss reach a place where he can finally confront the Wolf and turn the tables on him was immeasurably satisfying.
From this, we get a fairly simple moral that largely boils down to a celebration of living life to the fullest rather than either wasting it on hedonism or remaining stuck in an idealized past. It's nothing revolutionary, but not only is it exactly the kind of thing that the fairy tales this movie is sending up have long embraced, it's well-told enough that I fully bought into it. If the original Shrek was a deconstructive parody of fairy tales that sent up their moral messages while offering a few of its own, then this film serves largely as a more faithful, straightforward throwback to them, amped up with a swashbuckling action/adventure plot and some jokes for the parents but otherwise falling squarely within the modern, post-Kung Fu Panda DreamWorks wheelhouse.
The Bottom Line
It's a very straightforward movie once you get past the stylish animation, but hardly to a fault, as it's still a riotous, heartfelt, and just plain awesome ride that delivers exactly where it counts and doesn't overstay its welcome. Easily one of the best family films of the last ten years.

Little Things I Dig About STRANGE WORLD
Tumblr media
Much like the one I did for PUSS IN BOOTS: THE LAST WISH, this post will be a list of unorganized thoughts on STRANGE WORLD. And as usual, if you haven't seen STRANGE WORLD and were planning on doing so but haven't really had the chance nor gumption to fire up Disney+ and watch it, there be spoilers ahead!
'They're The Clades'. This is a hit the ground running opening right here. An all-too-brief cel-shaded depiction of Jaeger Clade's adventures and exploits, and how his son Searcher was by his side but was never really the rough-and-tumble explorer type. The song would do the Mello Men proud, as it recalls the songs of various live-action adventure movies that Disney had made throughout the '50s. This whole movie, if it wasn't clear before, is a massive homage to that era of adventure stories. The scene alone is evoking an early-to-mid 20th century pulp comic. Also during this sequence, we see these really lovely paintings of the Clades on their adventures. Particularly the visuals of them encountering birds of prey and a bear. It hits all those classic wilderness aesthetics in mere seconds flat.
Avalonia itself is actually quite a cool-looking world. It being on the back of a giant turtle-like beast swimming around on an all-water planet is very much Terry Pratchett's DISCWORLD, but being someone who lived the early 2000s as a kid, it also struck me as very BIONICLE. Hey, did you know Walt Disney Animation Studios was looking to option DISCWORLD for an adaptation of MORT? That was to be Ron Clements and John Musker's movie after THE PRINCESS AND THE FROG, but due to rights issues, that fell through, and they ended up pitching other ideas that would later morph into MOANA.
Continued, Avalonia in the post-Pando era: The retrofuture setting, the sortakinda steampunk-like aesthetic, very TREASURE PLANET in some ways. The graphic design recalled various decades of aesthetics of the 20th century, too. Some '30s and '50s touches on Callisto Mal's ship, the Venture, subtle and neat stuff. Loved the architecture, technology, and cruisers. The cruisers, especially the one the Clade family uses to dust the crops, in particular reminded me of the hovercraft vehicles in the JAK & DAXTER series. That was another action-adventure franchise from the early 2000s that I was very much big on back in the day (and still am!).
Legend. Just Legend. He's literally one of my dogs, but in Disney animated form. Plus he's a tripod. Disabled rep, even for a doggie! It was also nice to see a shot of a disabled Avalonian, too.
Primal Outpost reminds me of game called Heroscape, which I remember being advertised a lot circa 2004... Though my 12-year-old self never played it or got invested in it, I thought it always looked cool. The hexagon pieces and such... But yes, I liked that a role-playing/strategy game played a part in this world, it just added a depth to it: This is a game that the kids/teens play. Today I learned that Heroscape ran from 2004 to 2010, and there was a failed revival somewhere down the line. I kinda wish STRANGE WORLD came out in 2004, this would've been my *shit*. Big time.
The lighting choices are what really make the "strange world" pop. The subtle sunset-like oranges and pinks, the misty-like layers, really brings out a lovely look to everything.
There's a particular shot when the Venture is crash-landing while careening into the insides of the Avalonia turtle-beast-creature... Searcher and Legend drop off as the ship is still speeding, it's a particularly well-done shot.
What little there is of the vibe - both good and bad - between Callisto Mal and Meridian Clade, particularly when it shows up during their confrontation in the Venture cockpit.
Right before Ethan meets Splat in that cave of bioluminescent creatures, some of them are apparent in a few frames: They look kind of like glass vases with fireflies inside of them. A small but cool detail, and the framerate on them is much slower.
Splat slapping Ethan when you think they're going to do the HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON-esque connect-with-each-other moment, a well-timed send-up of those kinds of person-and-creature scenes.
The Clade men playing Primal Outpost is a standout scene to me, and I absolutely love the jab at the well-repeated "criticism" that Disney animated movies don't work without traditional bad guy villains in them.
How Searcher and Jaeger can't get the handshake/gestures right, they're preemptively doing a different one. It's a fun little character beat for both of them.
Everything about the much healthier insides of the beast after the heart is restored. A colorful, near-psychedelic set of images.

Chemist making a slightly dangerous substance in a controlled lab setting: “God Damn, I’m doing what is certainly the most dangerous and edgy Science there is right now, those fucking social-science-cels wish they could do shit this edgy!”
Anthropologist, laying in bed kicking their feet in the air while writing in their diary with a pink glitter pen: “Dear Diary, today at work I accidentally almost walked directly into machine gun fire, ate dog meat, was tormented by the spirits of the dead, and witnessed a human sacrifice. Tomorrow I being my Shaman training, so I need to get a good nights sleep tonight! Which will be difficult because as it turns out the local tiger population has begun to hunt humans in this village, because during the recent period of colonial violence and oppression that the people here suffered, the tigers saw the people here being violently oppressed and came to believe that the local population were incapable of fighting back, and therefore would make easy prey. I’ve been given a very big stick and told that if one gets into the house I need to try and hit it enough to make it flee before it gets to the kids, so I’m just hoping that I don’t actually need to do that.”

Hey animation fandom side of tumblr! I think you guys are sitting on Star Trek: Prodigy! Let me see if I can help get you guys interested!
For starters Prodigy is a Nickelodeon CGI animated kids show. Don’t let the Star Trek name scare you away, this show is literally designed to introduce people who’ve never touched a Star Trek show in their life to what Star Trek is all about! Think of it like their answer to Star Wars :The Clone Wars.
And let’s make no mistakes here, this show is DARK. Even for kids show standards. The setup for the show is that alien children imprisoned on a mining asteroid stumble upon a space ship and use it to escape their enslavers.
Did you like Avatar or The Legend of Korra? Then you’re going to like this show! It’s well written, doesn’t pull punches, and is all about that found-family life!
So let’s meet the characters!
This GWYN! She’s the daughter of the warden enslaving them and is conflicted about her complicity in the Warden’s atrocities. She has a metallic sword that molds itself around her arm!
Tumblr media
This is Dal! He’s a bit cocky, but he cares deeply about his crew. He’s not a very good leader, but his growth learning how to be a captain is a highlight of the show! He’s a smart character who unfortunately often acts like he has one brain cel. Don’t worry, it’s not his fault, it’s his many many years of abandonment and mental health issues!
Tumblr media
This is Rok and Murf! Don’t let her big size fool you! Rok is actually just a sweet little girl who has one of the saddest and most tragic backstories and development out of all the characters!
Tumblr media
And that purple ooze? That’s murf! He’s a slime creature voiced by Dee Bradley Baker! Did you like Momo? Then you’ll LOVE murf! Seriously if you want a blorbo, you can’t get more of a blorbo than an ACTUAL blorbo!
And this is Hologram Janeway! She’s a holographic training program based on Captain Janeway from Star Trek Voyager. She’s the perfect mentor to help this crew learn how to be a… well… a functional CREW! Don’t worry, you don’t need to know anything about Voyager to enjoy her character.
Tumblr media
Oh and one more thing! this is the villain:
Tumblr media
He’s voiced by Denethor from Lord of the Rings!
So in conclusion…
Sword lesbian, one brain cel, sweet giant, blorbo, AI mother figures, fabulous Denethor!

Hiya! I was thinking about the remastered animation Cel style evil Conan post you put up recently, and I just wanted to say how amazing and impressive it is! I love love love the look of old animation and you really nailed it. I’ve been trying for ages to mimic that look myself and haven’t been able to crack it, so if you ever wanted to talk about your process on this piece, I’d be all ears! Wonderful work, again!
Waaah hi liv!! Thank you, I'm so glad you like it, and that it comes across so convincingly!! One of my favorite things is to make digital art that can have a second life as a different medium, and I wish I had an easy answer for you as to how I go about doing that, but the truth is that it's mostly the result of a lot of trial and error. And a metric ton of references.
Here's a quick process video of my last piece to try to show off what all my layers are like, but I know it's mostly useless without an explanation!! I can't explain it all because I was kinda winging this one for funsies but I can give you general tips for this particular look.
Clip and words below the break!
As a disclaimer I didn't really go into this one intending for it to come out looking the way it did. So it's more of a hybrid look between my usual "clean" digital rendering and a fake screenshot.
[1] Reference, role models, and inspiration - I'm not kidding when I say I used to tote around an entire, dedicated folder filled with printed reference. These days that usually takes the form of about a million browser tabs ( ̄▽ ̄) I stare at early Detco and the first six movies a LOT. And Cowboy Bebop. And Akira. And and [insert your choice of 80s-90s anime film]. Depending on the exact look you're trying to replicate, you can always look to a more era-appropriate movie.
I love pulling inspo from films in particular (both animated and live action) because cinema is a whole other art that employs all kinds of techniques for our usual considerations (like lighting and framing), and looking to them can inspire some pretty poignant imagery, especially when you're trying to create something that's meant to mimic a single-frame capture of exactly that. I don't keep up with movies or anything, but I do have my favorites, and it didn't really occur to me to look to them until some of my favorite artists revealed that they do the same with theirs.
For this particular piece, I also had to establish some consistency with the other piece that bookends the scene, so I actually referenced my own art, too.
[2] BIG canvas! I usually work at two or three times the size I expect to export. Following standard aspect ratios for animated productions can help sell the look. Letterboxes have their own ratio, too, if you choose a widescreen canvas; and subtitle fonts are usually standardized to certain font families and colors since their primary purpose is to help make the media accessible. All this is usually a quick google search away, OR… if you're like me, and you still watch physical media… you can just yoink most of this from a real DVD.
[3] Thin lines!! I still can't quite nail the right line weight for these-- I definitely went too thick here-- but they tend to be very fine. And imperfections are good! Nobody has a perfectly steady hand, especially with traditional cels.
[4] Less is usually more when trying to sell a screenshot look… it's easy to over-ink and over-render and-- in my opinion-- restraint is necessary to sell it. This is the hardest thing to explain… it's design vs. rote emulation, I think. But that said, digital aids (next point) do a lot of the heavy lifting in these - as far as the art is concerned, a little will go a long way! These were some of my easiest lines and shading. So on that note…
[5] …Blending modes, masks, and filters are all your friends o___o I get a lot of mileage out of the default tools already available to me in the art software. There's plenty out there that's available for free, too! I recommend you find a fake anime screenshot tutorial, follow it once, and just go nuts when you get to the part where you can play with these settings. The make-or-break for a convincing screenshot-- in my opinion-- is texture and bloom, and all these digital tools will help you achieve that.
I hope this helps!! Hopefully the video can help you see a bit more of the process since I can only really offer tips. It shows everything at full size so you can see the details, so go nuts!
Thank you for the ask! Beaming plenty of good luck that you can find the look you want!!
ALSO I REALLY HOPE THIS IS THE PIECE YOU MEANT I'M LITERALLY ABOUT TO QUEUE THIS UP AND JUST REALIZED THE ONE THAT CAME BEFORE THIS IS MORE REMASTERED CEL ANIMATION LOOK SKSKSKSK
the same tips apply though so i hope they still help all the same :3c

had this conversation with a mutual and wanted your take on it
so Christopher the toreador elder was embraced at 13 and remained mentally stagnant his entire unlife, forever both physically and psychologically a child. meanwhile, ilias cel frumos was ghouled at 15 and embraced not long after, but he has the mindset of an adult despite not having aged physically. so that opens two distinct paths that cainites embraced as kids could follow, and of course everything in between those two extremes. there’s also the factor of christopher’s embrace being traumatic and ilias’ being empowering. which culminates in this: what else could contribute to the fate of an embraced teenager? and why such a wide variation of outcome?
Oh yeah, it's interesting as hell. Part of it may be cultural - Ilias was born in the 11th century, Christopher in the 17th, and teenagers in the dark ages may have had to grow up a fair bit quicker, whereas Christopher would have still been considered a child. Ilias' exact age at Embrace is unknown, just that he became a ghoul in his mid-teens (which is anything between 14 and 17), whereas Christopher was Embraced on his thirteenth birthday, and there is a big developmental jump between "was twelve years old the day before he died" and "older teen, spent indeterminate amount of time able to develop mentally as a ghoul before Embrace".
There are also child vampires like Nicolai Antonescu, who was ten, has a creepy, overly-grown-up aspect and a ton of responsibilities, and 'Child' as his Nature, and then characters like Damien, who still sees himself as a teenager after his Embrace at fourteen, but only has 'Child' as his Demeanour, not Nature. Just a few years between them, but while Nicolai tries to act like an adult but still feels like a child, Damien recognises his adolescence and thus is almost... able to grow beyond it? I can see Nicolai as being comparable to Christopher, then, and Ilias being closer to Damien.
Other child/teen characters: Halsey in Swansong, who was Embraced at nine and acts precisely like a nine-year-old (although that's attributed to her being Malkavian), Madame Guil, who was Embraced at sixteen but is treated like an adult by the narrative (possibly because she was treated as being on the cusp of adulthood anyway prior to her Embrace, she was about to marry her sweetheart when Vollgirre found her), Genina (aged nine), who responded to her Embrace by going full monster but never quite going full wight, Elaine (aged ten), who explicitly is described as not being able to cope with her Beast due to her age and did go wight in response, tragic cases like six-year-old Cherubim, who still very much is a child even after over a century but has horrifically un-childlike behaviours due to her traumas (but is still a solid 4 on the Path of Nocturnal Redemption and so not in danger of going wight in the near future), and... whatever the hell is going on with Ur-Shulgi. Lots of ways to do child/teenage characters.
Anyway, really quite variable in how child and teenage Embraces are treated. Some may be cultural, some may be just that character's personality. Ilias may have seen himself as emancipated by leaving home and finding Dorinta, maybe a few years before true adulthood but he was never going to be his parents' son again. He saw himself as an adult, and so he carried that mindset through to his unlife.
I could see Ilias' age at Embrace coming up in things like... oh, he's learned to think things through, absolutely, but he still sometimes makes rash decisions like eating the seed, just because the parts of his brain that determine decision-making weren't fully developed or something? So coming across as adult, but there are some developmental areas that never finished 'cooking'.
(I actually hc that this is the case with LaCroix, too. Like he's a 200-year-old Prince, but he also has the impulse control, decision-making skills, and temper of a twenty-one-year-old guy. He's an adult, yeah, absolutely, but the Embrace meant he never got the chance to fully develop those skills.)

(New kind of post, since I've been busy and haven't been doing asks until now I thought a normal post might help get me more attention and asks
Celestia was currently smiling as she sat on her throne, the one in her office, it was a massive silver throne which she personally thought made it look classy. She would have preferred a smaller throne but her huge ass demanded it be made this big. She was watching on her TV the cameras of her casino, particularly Makoto since she could tell he was slacking off a bit. "Servant 37, go tell Makoto to meet me in my office" without a word the servant nodded and walked out to Makoto
Working in the Silver Tongue Casino, truthfully, wasn't what Makoto expected at all. He always thought of himself too average, too plain ever consider something so shady to ever employ himself in… But, well, Celeste had her 'ways' and he experienced practically all of them to get him into this position. At the moment, he just wanted to break a biiit longer...but it seems as though his boss didn't like that. Gulping at what the servant relayed, he walked to her office and knocked on its door.
Celestia smiled, she could see the look on Makoto's face when he was told the news. She snapped and another servant opened the door for him "Servants, you may leave now. Wait outside until me and Mr Naegi are done." The servants left the room leaving Celestia and Makoto alone. "Please take a seat Makoto" she gestured towards the chair on the other side of her desk
Gulping, Makoto sat down the opposite of Celeste. Beads of sweat dripping down his face. "Y-yes, ma'am..." Nerves were bouncing around in his stomach.
"So tell me Makoto, what did I do to make you disrespect me?" She talked almost like one of those Mafia bosses he saw in movies. With a tone that seemed condescending and a sense of deadliness in her voice.
"D-disrepect? C-celeste, you know I would never do that!!" Makoto said, panic rising in his voice as could feel the severity of the situation putting quite the pressure on him.
"SILENCE!!! You call me Miss Ludenburg now, until I say otherwise." She gave him a glare as if she was about to kill him, her red eyes being frightening.
"Y-y-y-yes, ma'aam!! Sorry, Cel-Ms. Ludenberg!!!" Makoto said, whimpering slightly from Celeste's glare. She smiled as he stuttered over his words. "You should know why you're here Mr. Naegi, don't you?" She only used his last name when he was in trouble or when she was introducing him.
"U--um...." Makoto twidled his thumbs and looked downcast, almost like a naughty child. "B-because I...was taking a break without your permission…”
"I DON'T PAY YOU TO SIT ON YOUR ASS!!!" She nearly shouted at him, she didn't really care that much about him slacking off but she liked to put him in his place. "And you haven't even apologized yet.”
"Eeeeeeeeeeeek!!" Makoto shrinked back into his seat, definitely resembling a scaredy kid. Especially with how short he usually was! "I-I'm sorrryyy!! I'm so sorryy!!”
"Unfortunately for you Mr. Naegi, I have to punish slackers~ you know what that means." She smiled at him as she stood up, her huge ass jiggling wildly just from that.
Yes, he did know what that meant. His face blushed as Celeste rose up and, from his angle, he could see her backside jiggle a bit. "A-a-ah, y-yes, ma'am…”
"Strip. Now!" She slammed her hands onto her desk as she said that. Celestia loved to be feared especially by Makoto, maybe because he was a lucky student or just his general gentle attitude. But she loved every second of it.
"Y-y-yes, ma'aam!!" Getting up, Makoto began to peel away the layers of his clothes. From his jacket, to his tie, shoes!! And, much to his embarassment, even pulling down his pants. Showing off how thin he was.
"Good boy, now then~ start jerking off~" she smiled as she spoke plainly not trying to hide her true intentions this time, but engaging fully into lewdness. She was glad Makoto had such a huge cock, it complemented his femboy looking figure
"Y-yes, ma'am~" He said softly and his hands moves towards his hung member. He was rather shy about it, but it was quite clear just from a glance that the lucky student was packing down there. Slowly, his hand shifted and jerk the object of Celeste's eye, stroking it for his boss's pleasure.
Celestia smiled at his jerking "Maybe go a little faster Naegi, I don't have all day~" she looked at the clock, she had arranged for Nagito to come in here around this time. She wasn't going to let Makotos punishment ruin this meeting~ it might even make it more fun
"Y-yes, Ms. Ludenberg!" Makoto said, trying his best to be swifter in his tugs. His hands gliding up and down his veiny shaft, and he was trying his best to get a good rhythm going. Bit hard to do that with all this pressure~
"Oh by the way~ I'm having a meeting with Nagito in about, 30 seconds. But you better not stop, or else." She giggled classily as she heard the door open
"Wh-what?! B-but I-!!" Makoto stopped, looking in shock as Nagito would enter the room. "Why, hello, Ms. Ludenberg! I hope your day has been blessed with ho-oh, hello Makoto! How are you?" Nagito said, to the masturbating boy and his boss
Celestia was pissed Makoto stopped "Ignore him Nagito~ he's getting his punishment for slacking off, speaking of. Back to it Makoto!" She glared at Makoto. "I-I...." Makoto got back to masturbating...but was clearly much slower than usual, due to the other company's presence.
"In fact I wouldn't mind if you stripped too Nagito~ also feel free to take a seat anywhere~" she looked at Nagito, ignoring Makoko for the moment "If that's what you wish, Mistress~" Nagito said, stripping away his clothing to be just as naked as Makoto, but seemingly unbothered by being out in the buff. Sitting down in the seat next to Makoto he looked ready to speak with Celes...all while Makoto still looked quite shy~
"So Nagito~ how are the weekly profits doing? Any big gains~" she ignored Makoto for the moment as he jerked off nervously. She leaned forward to get closer to Nagito, they both could see her ass move slightly as she did since even tiny movements made it jiggle. But now the two men could see her huge globes, now with Celestia's face closer to both of them.
Nagito, to his credit, as much as he was blushing, was still trying to look Celes in the eye. Was it a huge struggle that was likely pointless? Yep! Still trying anyway? Of course~ "We've seen a 15% revenue increase thanks to our advertisement campaign! It seems many interests are piqued for your casino, ma'am." As for Makoto, well, once he saw some of that jello, he did began to go slightly faster than before.
"Very good~ and are all the servants still remaining obedient?" She smiled as she saw the struggle of Nagito trying to look her in the eyes. She was amused by Makoto going faster, if only slightly.
"For the most part, though the new one is having some adjustment issues. She was Servant 52, correct? But that's probably because she isn't used to things under your tutelage yet." Nagito said.
"I think she'll learn to understand it in time~ if not then you know what to do with her, right Nagito~" she loved how obedient and useful Nagito was, him being naked in front of her also helped her appreciate him~
"Yes, some time in the disciplinary room should do her wonders to get with the program~" Nagito said chipperly to the one one room servants, probably, wouldn't want to go to. "Now then~ Naegi stop masturbating. Nagito, I give you permission to come to my throne~" she chuckled as she sat back in her throne staring at Nagito
"Yes...yes, ma'am..." Makoto said, stopping his stroking at once...but it was clear he was stillq quite aroused~ On Nagito's end, he bowed. "At once~" He said, getting up and walking over to Celeste. Celestia grabbed his cock like it was a stick and started jerking it rapidly while smiling at Nagito
"Be grateful your mistress is rewarding you for your hard work~” Nagito moaned, and gave a pleasant smile to Celeste. Face flushing in pleasure~ "Thank you, Ms. Ludenberg~" On Makoto's side, he looked at both bashfully. Now actually turned on but being unable to cum
She soon tripled the speed of her jerking him off, wanting to hear his grunts and moans as she knew that his huge cock could take a lot of pleasure before cumming "Now then Makoto~ do you understand the consequences of your actions~”
"Y-yes, ma'aaaam!!" Makoto said, looking even more flushed as that hand of Celeste quickly jerked the other lucky student with the movement of a professional. Even Nagito, who prided himself on remaining fairly steadfast in determination, was having clear difficulties in maintaining composure and was really moaning his life out. "Makoto, when Nagito cums you better collect in one of the jugs in the backroom. Now hurry and get it~"
she snapped with her other hand while continuing to go faster "B-...yes, Ms. Ludenberg!!" said Makoto knowing full well getting a jug means going out briefly to retrieve it. Meaning people would probably see him. Gulping, he quickly made himself scarce to go get the jug. All while Nagito was fighting not to burst~
When he was gone she smiled "I know you love this Nagito~ I saw you trying to stare into my eyes instead of at my ass~ That's why you're a butler and not a servant~” "Th-thank you, Miss L-Ludenberg!!~" He gasped and a grateful smile came onto his face. His cock was throbbing and pre-cum dribbling down his shaft, huge drops that would be impressive to any other woman.
"Now then~ I think we're done with foreplay don't you think? Now onto the actual reward~" She smiled as she stood up, her ass jiggling from that alone as she shoved him down onto her throne. Usually sitting on her throne was the worst act anyone could do, she would punish them worse than cheaters.
But sitting there in her royal throne while staring at her enormous assglobes, I mean fuck~ this was the dream for men~ The sight great of a huge, wobbly, jello-like, mountain of an ass was right in front of him. The royal seat that could get anyone to bend to his wim. The mark of Celeste being a true Ultimate~ His erect coct was pointed right at it, dribbling further with slick cum. "Y-yes, ma'am~”
She pulled down her pants revealing her panties before pulling those down too, revealing her huge ass without anything to cover it. Just pale white globes of pure ass "Now then, since you've done such a good job would you like an assjob? Or Anal~" she chuckled as she slapped her own ass watching it jiggle wildly. And as he saw that ass meat wiggle and jiggle so lusciously, Nagito gulped and gave a grin. "A-an assjob would be nice, ma'am~”
She slammed down onto his cock with extreme power and speed, completely covering his cock in ass, she rapidly plapped up and down giving him and amazing assjob at lightning speeds and with extreme force "You love this don't you Nagito~”
Nagito already had a body most would be jealous of, with a fit but strong body, his white hair with a slight tint of red making him distinct, and his mannerisms being attractive and distinct. His most defining feature however (to those who had seen it) was his enormous pale cock and huge balls that embarrassed most guys, he was *Lucky* after all~ And it was covered. His long, throbbing member, engulfed, tweked on and and plapped to mind numbing pleasure -all thanks to his mistress' godly ass. "Yy--yy-yes, maaa'aaaaam!!! I Really am fortunate to experiiiience  thissss~”
"I'm your queen, Celestia Ludenburg~ the name you shall never forget and that you shall always respect!" She shouted as she nearly tripled her speed and power of her assjob, Makoto had better be back soon if he wanted to actually contain his cum. "Y-y-yes, my queeeeen!! I'll never forgeeeet your nameee!! I'll respect it for n-now and f--ff-foreveeeeeeeer!!" Nagito practically yelled and getting very close to his breaking point. His dick practically drenched. Just then Makoto came back~
"AH~ good timing Makoto, put that huge container on Nagito's cock~ I want that cum for later~" She smiled as she could tell Nagito was near his breaking point, just a little more pressure and he would break. So that's exactly what she did, applied way more pressure on him. Makoto agreed and went to put it around Nagitio's cock as Celeste went against his erection for the finale. Too much. She was too much!!! "I-I MIIIIISTRESSS!!!" He screamed and, right as Makoto put the jug to him, did he cum and cum big. All that tension and pent-up cream in his balls was overwhelming from his cock to the jar~
It was filled up within  seconds, as Celestia smiled and got up from off of his cock "Very good Nagito~ now get off my throne." She spoke in an objective cold tone as she stood up and frowned at Makoto Aa-at once, ma'am..." Nagito said, barely managing to get off. His cock stilll leaking fluid a bit. "And I trust you learned your lesson Makoto~”" Makoto nodded bashfully. "Y-yes, ma'am…”
"Good~ I'm going home early today, I expect you two to meet me there once you close up. Understand?" She smiled not waiting for an answer before pulling her pants up and leaving.
(If You've gotten this far, just a reminder I am looking for more asks and I've been looking to do some NTR stuff possibly. I'll try to respond to as many as possible! Also btw this is what a Novella story might look like.)
