Her name is Asal Nahi. One of so many young people, women and girls that got arrested and punished because they demand what’s natural for us. We got so used to democracy and freedom that we does not even appreciate it anymore. We proested because we had to wear masks during covid. Meanwhile there are countries where you can be executed for demanding basic human rights. Where women are treated like something less. There were lot of protests in Iran since 1978. Hey y'all I'm new to the site. I love taking care of my fur babies. They need a voice and I'll give it to them. Hopefully I'll be able to navigate this well. We have cats and dogs and birds and ducks and a horse and were rescuing some goats here on Friday. I hope you all follow my new adventure. We moved from the city to a small farm 5 acres and we are going to be starting everything now learning as we go. Of course making mistakes who doesn't. I don't mind criticism but it has to be constructive and nice. The nicer the better of course. I love to learn and make sure I'm doing the right things for the animals. Do a lot of research and give a lot of love. We do this of the kindness of our heart. Very limited budget. But I wouldn't do anything different we love them. And if I have the place and the land they have the love from us. And I've had so many people support us and help us it's been amazing.

It’s National Dog Fighting Awareness Day. Today, (and every day) we should recognize the ongoing efforts to combat animal cruelty and raise awareness about the existence of dog fighting rings. Despite being banned in the entire country, there are still many of these cruel competitions happening. The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals created this day as part of Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Month in April to encourage people to take action and speak out against this inhumane practice.

It’s extremely hot and when the pups get out we want them to have the opportunity to play in the water and enjoy themselves. They deserve that and so much more. These particular pools are quite costly but they are built to last, which is what’s needed. We bought two so they would not be without moving forward. Thank you to everyone who supports the @standupforpitsfoundation. When you buy a t-shirt, come to a Stand Up For Pits events or donate any amount, you are helping and saving dogs in all the ways SUFP does that nationwide. Most shelters need supplies and enrichment items, especially the rural ones with little to no resources. Many shelters also have Amazon Wish lists you can donate directly towards. It’s as simple as reaching out to the facility and asking what’s needed if they don’t have a wish list. Providing a shelter dog with a bully stick, toys, a bed, a Kong and treats means everything to them. We all have the ability to make an impact on these beautiful lives. It is just one sign of the huge risks Iranian people are taking to show their dissent - at a World Cup increasingly overshadowed by human rights issues. But Iranians are not limiting their protests to stadiums in Qatar. Demonstrations continue in Iran - with several taking place in Tehran and other cities on Saturday, according to social media. Activists say security forces opened fire on a crowd gathered in the city of Zahedan in the southeast after Friday prayers. Dozens are feared dead or wounded. In a speech on Saturday, Iran's supreme leader Ayatolla Ali Khamenei praised the Basij militias that have been at the heart of the government crackdown.

Our funds are dangerously low & it’s just not getting any better. In fact, it’s getting worse. Our vet bills alone were $50,000 last week! We are spending more than we are raising & the math just isn’t working. Without continuous incoming donations, we cannot pay our bills and therefore, cannot say yes to dogs in need. We see other rescues closing daily. They just can’t continue in today’s circumstances. We understand & we sympathize. How can we not?! We are facing the very same obstacles every single day. The LAST thing we want to do is close intake, but we need help & we are begging for help now. We founded RDR NYC 7 years ago & we have placed about 9000 animals. We are so proud of all the dogs (& cats) who were saved & given the gift of life. We could not have done this without your generous help & support & for that we are forever grateful. The obstacles we are facing now are not just RDR issues, they are rescue community issues: -very difficult to place even “easy” dogs -lack of fosters -lack of adopters -for every dog adopted, we are getting 2 or 3 dogs returned, some adopted 5+ years ago -harder dogs declining in boarding -24/7 messages & pleas for help -compassion fatigue is real & impacts us all -donations down We are showing you some of the dogs we have saved in 2022.
