*equivalent to the first season, each one from one side of the story (golden guard YAY x chaotic criminal rebel YAY) that occasionally meets

Both too stubborn to give in in an argument or ideal, they'll never admit that they have ANYTHING in common

But curreeently they have a lot of similar things: musical taste, culinary taste, literary taste, basically the same person ☠️ which is pretty weird since Willow was under the culture of the human realm and Hunter was under the demon realm's most of his life, but it's like both Luz and Amity knowing Azura's book

Except for the styles, he's the little prince totally dolled up who spends hours polishing his armor and have clothes selected by other people of course, she's emo and wears the first thing she sees in the closet. Willow's comfortable with herself and Hunter is desperately trying to cover up his messy interior

Hunter as a golden guard here doesn't wear a mask, he's the FACE of the emperor's coven, so Willow can come to an agreement with herself that he's pretty, Hunter can also agree, he also thinks himself is pretty (ok ok let's hypothetically say he has a crush on people with glasses named Willow, just a coincidence

The two doubt each other's intelligence a lot and end up acting like fools falling into the traps of their own ego, they're better in this regard when they rarely and unwillingly work together, two heads think better than just one in the end

The evolution of cute names: "Mistress Park" and "Whatever-his-name" -> "Dear Wilsy/Sweet Low" and "Golden guy" -> "Will" and "Hunt"

Willow knows his weaknesses, she uses the most cowardly of all against him............ compare him to a D O G. blindly loyal and following an owner who offers treats or approval pats if he does a few tricks. GOLDEN RETRIEVER!!!!! did u guys know that she gave him a cute dog collar as a gift? I think it's so rude that he never used it (I like to say as if everything is canonical 'cause in my mind it is). she calls him whistling and he goes to her with droopy ears only to say he's NOT a dog and then he leaves again, with a dramatic movement of his cape

Hunter's secret identity (WHO IS ThE MOST REBEL NOW, WITCHES!!!!!) flirts shamelessly with Willow, she knows it's him. why he's so dumb. his mask (NOW he uses) didn't disguise voice. "Caleb Jasper Bloodwilliams" here was his escape from the coven stuff, just being free and without responsibilities for a few hours, but it ended up becoming a little too "against the coven" when he discovered some things

"you can let me pay, it's just a kindness between old friends, don't worry" Hunter said and in the next day, while he was receiving a very direct death threat "YOU OWE ME ONE, I BOUGHT YOU COFFEE AND YOU THANK ME LIKE THAT??". a little emotional manipulation on both sides, how romantic 🥰

introverts who communicate telepathically with nods of the head. while everyone was in Grom they were outside just stopping arguing for a moment and enjoying each other's company 🥺:

"even if it's not the beeest thing in the world, it's what we have for today apparently..."

I did it again. I made a physical copy of one of my fanfics, and it turned out brilliant. I love it, and I wanted to share it with you all.

The fic is a The Owl House fic called “On Earth and Boiling Isles.”

“Luz is an overactive girl being sent to Summer camp. Her sister is a punk who picked too many fights on her sister’s behalf and is stuck taking Summer classes to make up for a suspension.

Luz goes to the Boiling Isles, and meets Amity Blight, a witch who is her rival-turned-friend-turned-girlfriend.

Lucia is stuck in class, and meets Amelia, a green haired, pointy earred girl and local class flirt.

Luz destroys the portal that will take her back home at the end of the summer to keep it out of an Emperors hands.

Lucia greets her sister back from Summer camp, and can’t shake the feeling that something is very wrong.”

It clocks in at 278 pages, and 172k words. Unlike my last fic, this one doesn’t have any illustrations inside, as I hadn’t really hit my artsy phase, but I did create the covers! It has two covers due to the two plots that go on in the story, one focused on big sis Lucia on Earth, and the other on Luz in the Boiling Isles. See, so clever! I deserve headpats and praise for being so smart!

The story was written over a year ago, and only stays with canon up until the end of S2e8. I started writing it almost immediately after S2e4, where “Creepy Luz” first appeared, and had to draw a line on when canon had to end, since I kept having to update written parts of the fic, and find roles for new characters as they were added. Raine hadn’t shown up yet when I started writing, and Hunter was still just the Golden Guard, after all! The story started getting posted about two weeks after 2A ended, with the bulk written before Yesterday’s Lie even aired.

oh god there would be sooooooo incredibly many changes. some I'm gonna leave alone unless directly asked but for some main ones atm--

Four Years: oh dear god so many changes. both just from learning more and also from the fact of being an au I came up with when I was 14 and I would never recommend anyone ever be the age of 14, my sincerest apologies to one luz noceda. I could make a whole other post about this but just to keep it simple lets sayyyyyy...first of all, Amity doesn't go into the Emperor's Coven. I personally still like the idea, but it doesnt really fit. theres helping her mom show off to customers, and then theres being forced into a Coven that wants to murder her crush and her crush's adoptive mom. Amity gives me the impressive of someone who would just start biting. Escaping Expulsion was Amity's "standing up to her mom" episode and I love that sm for her, I'm thinking maybe it could be redone in this au to also involve refusing to even consider the Coven? Dunno, but I know Amity doesn't join it, and neither do the twins.

Keene doesn't exist anymore, obviously. we're back on the Hunter show babey and his redemption arc (like most arcs here) take a much longer time to get on with. most remains the same, but he has a lot more interaction with Luz & the gang prior to Eclipse Lake. that episode becomes more of a "we were making so much progress but then the Panic Button hit in and everything collapsed in on itself" and then some tension between the gang of Hunter feeling shitty and not talking, the guys trying to figure out whats with him, and then Hollow Mind comes in an fucks up everything, as per usual

No more angsty fics about Camila missing her daughter because Vee's here now! yaaaaay. but this does mean Camila went a longer time without ever realizing her daughter was someone else, although I imagine at some point she WOULD feel that something was just Off. obviously shes a regular human shes not gonna think a shapeshifter took the place of her daughter, but shes gonna know something is Off and Strange but she cant put her finger on it and Luz seems happy...most of Yesterday's Lie remains the same but since it's at least been two years, maybe three, since Luz has seen her mom, she looks MUCH different than how Vee changed her appearance, so it throws Camila off quite a bit

smaller things will also stay, such as Luz becoming the Owlet and everyone being their own kinda brand of rebel. I'd have to figure out how to slide in Raine, Darius, Eberwolf, etc, somewhere in here. I'll figure it out

Beta: this one stays the most unchanged I think? granted I was updating it slightly more with updates in the show than Four Years. Hunter is still local nephew of principal and Belos's plan still involves killing all witches but its just in the "saving humanity from these evils" instead of "saving humanity from these evils and then going home". still unsure how the grimwalkers would tie into this, if my guy was just continuously making kids or if hes not actually a puritan and just a nasty old guy, and all the other golden guards are Hunter's older brothers? and he was possibly kidnapped when he was a baby or something? that part im the least sure on

Emperor: well, first of all, the duo of Amity & Luz becomes the trio of Amity, Luz & Hunter. none of them get along. Amity is constantly exasperated by Luz and her dumbassery & Luz thinks shes uptight and a tryhard at times. Luz and Hunter are dumbass on dumbass hatecrimes because Luz also thinks hes uptight but also a massive brat who thinks hes better than everyone & Hunter thinks shes annoying as hell and beneath him on every level. Hunter and Amity just take one look at each other, smell the Gifted Child With Parental Issues Trying To Be Perfect In Every Single Way on each other, and immediately drop into offensive hissing cat positions.

Luz and Hunter are the ones who get along first, mostly cause Luz getting brought over to the Emperor's Coven kind of guaranteed she'd run into Hunter first and they'd end up sticking to each other and realize they're massive nerds. Luz and Amity get along next through the power of Luz being stubborn and wlw. Hunter and Amity are last and technically it only really happens because they may be petty and spiteful but they can and will set that aside for one goal: being even pettier and even more spiteful to anyone being mildly annoying to Luz

This AU in particular hasn't had a lot of updates to it so theres a lot of room to work with her. Luz technically becomes friends with Willow and Gus because shes undercover trying to get new recruits (shes terrible at it). this also means that Hunter is more easily converted to the side of Oh Belos Fucking Sucks because he already has adopted sister Luz telling him to Run and her mildly okay girlfriend yoinking him along. course this also means it fucks up Luz even more to see that Hunter is a grimwalker and, per paraphrased word of Belos, she was the favorite. if it came down to it, Belos would've happily let Hunter die, hell, would've even done it on purpose. by virtue of being human, and Hunter being a clone, she was, in fact, given special treatment, and if anything went slightly wrong then Hunter would've died. these kids are fucked up

The monastery includes more students then the og four. I don't know if the new students would be normal or have elemental powers, but for now they're normal people/semi royals/royal guard in-training. But they're the "Scrapped" ninja team as they existed before the og four (then Lloyd) became the main heroes.

For the "scrapped" team to not step on the og fours toes, Earth is replaced with Rock and Fire is replaced with Heat.

Beta Huntlow Headcanons

*in the "start of season 3" phase, human realm, same house and shared traumas

The two would both have the vibe "it's hard to tell if they applied eyeliner or just have dark circles under their eyes", two people who sleep late (WHEN they sleep) and wake up very early. I like to imagine them being the last ones in the house awake and arguing that the other one should go sleep, little hypocrites more concerned with the health of others than with their own

They study wild magic together and test glyphs and techniques on each other cause they need testing to learn, so it's a controlled and platonic fight (visualize, just VISUALIZE a "parallel" of Lumity scene of the Grom dance but it's Huntlow just having fun being chaotic among magic explosions OR putting into practice what they trained against some unlucky)

"You have problems with authorities and rules too? Woah, we have so much in common..." they took the expression partners in crime a little too seriously 😰 a common dialogue would be "do ya wanna rob a store today?" and the other responds "we already did that yesterday, I wanna get out of routine, let's try a bank?" not ironically

For RPG people, I think the moral alignments of them would be in the Neutral spectrum, maybe him as Lawful Neutral and she as True Neutral, I'm indecisive, maybe both Chaotic Neutral????

Aaaand for astrological people I think they would be a Virgo and a Scorpio... I just don't know who would be which lol

These two have a hospital drama/police investigation series that they watch together and they're really into it, It's TREASON to watch one episode without the other

Sometimes they pretend to be a couple to strangers 'cause they think it's so funny, and they tend to do this a lot since they hang out together frequently

Arm wrestling? Just an excuse for them to hold hands!!!! But when they start competing in anything a third person (usually Gus) has to step in to stop them from overdo. It's not about winning, it's about making the other admit defeat

There's frequent romantic tension in moments that were theoretically supposed to be threatening and it's frustrating how many times they come close to kissing but interruptions at the wrong time get in the way, that old cliché

Talking about ✨love language✨: Willow offers is acts of service and what she likes to receive/share is quality time. Hunter's love language offered is giving gifts and what he likes to receive are words of affirmation. Then it happens like:

"hey, Will! to thank you for yesterday I bought – nah, I stole – to you... industrialized cookies that you like..!"

"don't call me- wait, cookies? huh, you're the best dork ever, let's eat that while watching TV?"

"yeah, of course, let's see some tragedies in the news, it'll be fun... by the way, am I really 'the best dork'? cuz I'll brag about it later"
