kailey felt the bed dip beside her, as she had just awoken by the sliver of a sound from the front door. she felt peppered kisses on her cheeks then nose, and then a kiss on the lips to wake her up. she smiled widely, before opening her eyes to see connor hovering over her with a bouquet of pink tulips, and a coffee from philz coffee down the street.
"con..." she trailed off as he sat down in front of her.
"what?" he said with a small coy smile on his face, as he held out her coffee in front of her. she took it with a grateful smile, before giving him a quick peck on the lips.
"how was practice?" she questioned, sipping her coffee. he sighed, "bag skate for the guys." he said shrugging and she nodded, knowing just how poorly the team performed the night before. "well at least you were with the guys right? you skated with them?" she questioned and he nodded. "hmm. but enough talking about hockey and more about the breakfast i brought." he teased, and kailey quickly hopped out of bed. "wait!" she froze, looking at the bouquet of flowers in his hands as he stood.
"thankyou thankyou thankyou." she smiled, leaning up and kissing him once more before taking the bouquet. "yadia yadia, go put them in a vase." he said pressing a finger into her side; which caused her to jump with a squeal.
becca was in the kitchen, eating the meal that connor had brought for becca that morning. "appreciate the meal connor, from the very bottom of my single heart." becca said holding up the coffee that connor had also gotten for her. kailey smiled as she sat down across from her best friend, before digging into her breakfast sandwich. becca stood up, heading over towards connor under the impression she was getting a paper towel. "i know you think that this is gonna get me to crack but it ain't." becca mumbled just loud enough for connor to hear. he chuckled to himself before nodding at the blonde.
connor sat down next to kailey, sipping his own small coffee.
"doctors appointment this afternoon?" kailey questioned placing her hand in his and resting it on her thigh. he nodded, "i hope it goes well. i hope you get cleared." she said encouragingly and connor thanked her. "me too. ill get back around 6, is that ok?" he questioned and she nodded. "ofcourse con." she said before taking another bite of her sandwich.

kailey heard the door open around 6:25 that evening, and squealed silently. she had just finished putting the charcuterie board on the small coffee table in the corner and had just finished setting up the projector. becca had helped kailey that afternoon making a french meal and desserts, as well as tracking down a projector which would allow them to watch kaileys favorite movie of all time, breakfast at tiffanys.
"in the kitchen!" kailey said pouring the two some lemonade she had made that morning. connor came up behind her, wrapping his arms around her torso. she felt a kiss in the back of her neck as she set down the bottle. "hi babe, how did it go?" she questioned turning around in his arms. he shrugged with a small frown on his face, "they said one more week and ill get hopefully the go ahead." he said and she nodded softly. she placed her hand under his chin to lift it, in order for him to look at her directly. "everything will work out like it is supposed to con, ok? this is meant to happen for whatever reason. which i know is better said than done but if the doc says one more week, its for a reason." she said trying to lift his mood just a bit.
"i know what youre trying to do, but me being here with you- is enough. mood- already lifted." he mused, causing her to giggle. "well good." she hummed, leaning back to place a cup of lemonade in his hand. "i hope everything is to your liking." she said pulling him towards the table and his eyes lit up with the coq qu vin, a french salad, and potatoes. oh! and ofcourse some fresh baguette. "this being something i didn't have to cook or pay for? im gonna love it, i promise." he said pulling out her chair as he could tell she was nervous. he placed his hands on her shoulders and kissed her head.
"how about we watch the movie, then catch up over creme brulee?" she questioned and he playfully groaned. "you trying to kill me over here?" and that made her giggle. "how'd you even know?" he questioned and she smiled softly.
"you're sister because i found out that you cant keep a secret to yourself." she teased, and he rolled his eyes. "ofcourse it was mady!" he groaned. "i fear she's probably said too much for my liking?" he questioned as he poured some food onto his plate. kailey shrugged with a slight grin.
"im gonna kill her!"

AI-generated donuts
If you're going to open a late-night donut shop, you're going to need a unique set of over-the-top donuts to set the proper festive atmosphere. But how to keep the ideas coming?
I decided to see what donut ideas I could get using OpenAI's GPT-3 text-generating models. I collected seven of the weirdest donuts and descriptions I could find (such as a pizza donut, or a dirt-themed donut), and presented them as a list for the AI to complete. I've drawn a few of the best donuts it added to the list.

When I say I used "GPT-3" for this project it's hard to be exact about it, because OpenAI often updates the models. The newest GPT-3 versions (as of May 2022) actually did the worst at this task - they kept presenting me with real donuts that they'd seen during their online training, and not even particularly weird donuts. They were trying to match what was most common online, not what I was asking for. But the original early-2020 GPT-3 models were more willing to deliver the weirdness. Here are some more of my favorite results from the various models!

Sometimes one of you Tumblrs mentions a restaurant you dined at. Or maybe you post something about some small town I’ve not heard of.
I go to Google Maps to see the place. Street View show me what the sidewalk in front of the restaurant looks like. I like getting a sense of the neighborhood. Or, for towns, I click on the “restaurants” button to see local dining establishments and choose one that sounds interesting to me.
Then I read the menu like I’m actually sitting in the restaurant.
Appetizers -- I’m a big fan of French onion, lobster bisque, and other soups. Sometimes when a server says, “Our soup of the day is...” I interrupt and say, “I’ll take a cup of it, right now!”
Main dishes -- A French dip sandwich is always a front-runner. For Italian places I need to Google the various pasta and sauce types because often the names are unfamiliar to me. I like to see what is the most expensive cut of beef on the menu, as well as anything unusual. I ask my imaginary waiter: What’s better, the 84 ounce, 45 day dry-aged porterhouse, or the Spotted Owl Benedict?
Cocktails and beers -- I don’t have enough money or time on Earth to try all I want to. Rarely to I desire wine in a restaurant.
Desserts -- Nope. Not since I was a child have I wanted to order dessert in a restaurant. Bob, as a kid: Mom! Dad! I need pie! Parent: Not this time. As an adult: I can order literally whatever I want on this menu, there’s nothing stopping me, but dessert doesn’t interest me at all.
Coffee -- I love an after dinner espresso.
Best of all, when I’m done at this restaurant there’s no bill to pay. Sadly though, I’m probably more hungry than I was when I opened the menu.

Hi Sam. I have a rump roast I want to use and it's apparently very popular for French Dips, Italian Beef sandwiches, and roast beef deli meat. You've made a version of Italian Beef before as and have posted pictures of it plus a general method of what you did. Do you have a specific recipe you use? (I mostly need it for measurements. I've made BBQ briskets and Mississippi Roast enough to wing it, but it's~ 4lb of beef and I don't want to mess it up.)

The recipes I've found online for italian beef are pretty vague, I'll be honest, so I've developed something closer to a widely-applicable technique, because really you're just doing a steam-braise that also creates a jus. So, my advice for cooking about four pounds of rump roast for sandwiches is as follows, a lot of it may be review for you :D
Trim the roast to a thickness that you'd be comfortable slicing, and a width and length that will fit in your slow cooker. I also trim off large chunks of fat. I usually do three pounds of beef, cut into 1lb segments that are roughly 1" thick, piled atop one another.
Use enough beef broth to cover the bottom of the slow cooker. I use 3 cups in an instant pot slow cooker, which is tall and narrow. You probably don't need more for 4lbs, just make sure it covers the bottom of the pot decently. If you don't have beef broth, chicken broth will work, or even water in a pinch; the beef will drain a lot of fat/flavor into it regardless. You can boil trimmings to get a decent broth, though that takes time. At this point I just have a "mother broth" of leftover jus that I use for the next batch, I just add some water or beef broth each time to make up 3 cups.
Put some kind of rack or platform on the bottom of the slow cooker. It doesn't have to raise the beef much, just keep it mostly out of the liquid.
Season the beef as you like (I use a steak seasoning blend). Place the liquid in the pot first, then layer the beef into the slow cooker on top of the rack or dish. It can touch the liquid, that's fine, just shouldn't fully immerse in it.
Slow cook on high for 3-4 hours or until the beef is fully cooked through. If you take the temperature it should be at least 145F, and should not be pink at all in the middle. Remove and let cool; refrigerate before slicing. And that's it really, no special trick.
For jus, boil the liquid left in the slow cooker for minimum five minutes at a full boil. After boiling, strain it, cool it, and store it. It should still be somewhat cloudy, that's flavor baby!
I slice the meat very thin and of course across the grain to keep it tender, but you can slice it any thickness you like. Once sliced, I store the meat packed in jars and covered in jus; it freezes well (just don't tighten the jar lid until it's frozen) and reheats best when heated in liquid (I microwave, but it heats as well, just slower, in a pan on the stove top). Then just pull the beef out of the liquid, toss it on a crusty roll, and dip the roll in the liquid for extra flavor if desired. Or eat it cold, it's good that way too.
For the best possible italian beef, I've found that it's ideal to take the roll, stuff it with warm-to-hot beef, dip it thoroughly in the jus (doesn't have to be hot), wrap it in lightly greased foil, and bake in a toaster oven at 450 for about 5 minutes. I've been experimenting with mine and have enjoyed adding a variety of cheeses before baking, and I've also found a sliced hard-boiled egg a nice addition.

What're your top three foods that have mayo in them?
Why did my mind completely go blank on this as soon as you asked. I eat stuff with mayo all the time and now it's like... uhhh. Urhghghrh?
Best I can tell:
1) any sandwich, but especially chicken or turkey sandwiches. My comfort Subway order is just turkey, mozzarella, and mayo on whole wheat.
2) Sushi. Spicy mayo slaps. If we're only counting regular mayo then the salads go here: chicken, tuna, potato, egg, pasta, etc etc. So depending on your does-spicy-mayo-count ruling, either spicy mayo tuna roll or potato salad is my second favorite.
3) Coleslaw/BBQ. I love bbq but have sensory issues with really tangy food so I usually eat it with coleslaw or just add some mayo if coleslaw isn't available.
Honorable mentions to deviled eggs, veggie dips, and French fries. I will absolutely dip fries in some mayo if there's no ketchup.

Ciao Royals! Today’s post is going to be about Tea Party Sweets, how to distinguish between them and some tips on serving and even some little fun ideas about them.
Being familiar with the sweets at tea parties or other fun events can assist in your ability to host such events!

For those cooking tips meal prep is really your best friend. No not like 'i've made and frozen meals for the next month/have everything for weeks planned out' I'm adhd as hell that ain't happening. But lil meal prep things that have made life so much easier for me. - carnalizing onions? Do it in advance, buy a bag of onions and chop them either into rings/wedges (takes maybe 5-10 minues) Dump em all in a cast iron pan/or casserole dish Add some salt/pepper/oil and put them in at 300 degree's and stir every 20 minutes or so until caramelized/cooked down Boom you have caramelized onions for the next week or two I've done this and used it for - topping burgers/bratwurst - Making french onion dip - tossing in meals Also? I've been such a sandwich slut lately so a few ways to make a 'plain sandwich a way better' I don't buy aioli's when it takes like a few minutes to make
chipotle aioli - canned chipotle/dash of salt/mayo boom mix and put in a lil tupperware garlic aioli - pre minced garlic, salt and mayo, also I toss a dash of horseradish into mine for a kick Also a dash of picked onion (red onion/white vinegar/ salt/sugar) all mixed up adds a lil extra fun to toss on a sandwich Easy things I can make and toss in the fridge and have for awhile

It wouldn't take long for a certain frequent donator to donate a large sum of money to fuel Sae's hunger... How interestingly timed!
Sae, almost spat out some of her drink when she saw the donation, that was a lot of money, but hey, she'd said what she'd said and she wasn't about to be accused of lying. "Alright time to see if they have a desktop version that I can order through." After a few minutes of looking she finally found what she was looking for, she ordered 3 triple big bang burger meals, 3 large spicy crispy chicken sandwich meals, a 10 piece French toast sticks, 3 milk shakes of vanilla, strawberry and chocolate flavors, 1 chicken club salad to stay on the healthy side, an 18 piece chicken fry, a 32 piece chicken nugget box, this came with 6 large fries and 6 large dr. peppers, totaling in at a whopping 16,867 calories and 14,879 yen, less than half of the 30,000 yen donation.
"Ok, soooo, realistically I'm gonna struggle to eat this much, so I'll tell you what, I'm going to bank the remaining 15,121 yen, and you'll be able to cash it in for another feast like this at a later date, I'm not going to be accepting any more donations for food today or I'll probably be going to a hospital later.
She pushed the order through and sat in her chair for a bit, a little shell shocked by what was about to happen to her. "alright so here's my game plan, um, I'm going to put on a movie and watch that while I eat, I'm probably not going to be really responsive, but I don't think any of you are going to complain too much that I'm too busy stuffing my face to respond.
When she heard the doorbell ring she got out of her chair and began walking, her pajama shorts digging into her ass and her shirt ridding up exposing the lower portion of her belly, and a bit of grey pubic hair and a faint happy trail. She opened her door and left, after a few minutes she came back with 4 large bags, she left again and came back with three trays of drinks. she brought in a side table that would hold most of the food while she wasn't eating.
"Oh my god you should have seen the look on the guys face, I know he thought this was for like a party or something, but as soon as I opened the door you could tell he realized that it was all for me, but hey this is like a party right?" She laughed nervously as she looked at the large bags, she began taking the food out of their bags and placing them on the table, stacking the burgers in a pile, the salad next to them, she then placed all 6 of the Sodas next to the milk shakes. After that came the fries, then the french toast and the chicken fries.
"Heh, maybe I'll use that other money to buy a new chair, at this rate I'm going to need a new one, I'm almost 180 kg as is, I can't imagine what I'll balloon to if you guys keep feeding me like this."
After pressing play on her Shin Featherman movie she busted out the worst thing she'd be eating that night, the salad. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't really good either, though the sauce definitely helped with the taste. She tossed the tub to the side and moved onto the triple big bang burger with cheese and bacon, not bothering to take a small bit she just went right in, sauce getting on her cheeks and onto her shirt, she continued like this for the next three burgers, taking sips of her soda in between bites. after finishing the third burger she leaned back in her chair and let out a moan before making a face and letting out a monstrous belch.
"mmmnuRRRRAAAAPPP!" she panted a bit before patting her gut, noticing a hard ball forming already. Next up was the supernova burgers, which she'd be quelling the spice from with the milk shakes, probably not her best idea but she didn't really care, she was in dumb, fat and horny mode right now. Occasionally she'd dip some of the fries into the shake, giving it a nice texture along with the shake. When she finished the last sandwich her gut began to make noises in protest, something she herself wouldn't listen to. She took the next few drinks and took the tops off of them, deciding to just chug them as fast as she could without spilling too much, granted it didn't stop it from happening, soda making her face and chins sticky to the touch, which was only going to get worse with her next food, the french toast.
"I'll be right back, they didn't give me enough syrup." she did her best to get up, although it took her a few attempts to get out of her chair. She waddled out of her room and returned a few moments later with a brand new bottle of syrup. She sat back down in her chair huffing for a bit before grabbing the french toast and just dousing them in syrup, reaching in and shoveling it into her mouth, syrup coating her fingers and mouth. She reached down to rub her gut for a bit moaning before looking at the bottle of syrup, gears turning in her calorie addled mind.
"Not yet." she said to herself before reaching for the chicken nuggets and fries, losing what little she'd been showing and shoving it into her mouth and chewing haphazardly, swallowing and moving onto the next handful. when she reached the end of the chicken she sat back and gestured lazily at the mound of wrappers and cups, the only thing remaining on the table being the bottle of syrup, which she grabbed in her hand, spun the top off of and put up to her mouth, tipping it back and feeling the thick liquid flowing into her throat, it wasn't quick, but every second of it was sweet ecstasy. when it was finally drained she weakly let it fall to the side as she laid there, her head lulled back as she did her best not to lose any of what she'd just eaten.
Her gut had gone from its normally rolled flabby self to having a massive orb at the top of it, having pushed her food stained shirt up below her braless breasts, with a thick layer of flab hanging towards the bottom. She did her best not to say anything, small belches escaping from her as she sat there, stuffed beyond any reasonable amount. As she sat there she was silently thankful that her fupa was large enough to cover her genitals, because if they were visible they'd be able to tell that she'd climaxed from eating over 20,000 calories in the span of 2 and a half hours.
"D-OOOOOOOOAAAARRRRRRUUUUPPPP~one." She smiled lazily as she looked at the camera and did a double peace sign. After sitting for a bit she did her best to get up, farting audibly as she got up, she then pushed the chair to the side and waddled slowly to her bed, not bothering to turn the stream off. She sat herself gently on the side of her bed and sat for a second before simply laying back and passing out from exhaustion.

Is 5 for Friday still a thing?
• I forgot to water the plants this week. My basil and mint both died. I love plants but I suck at keeping them alive.
• Every evening my boy dog, Hōyō, cuddles me. Every morning my girl dog, Luna, greets me with airplane ears, tail wags, and exaggerated body wiggles. These bookends to my days make the day worthwhile.
• For the past week the weather has turned exactly the perfect temperature to have the windows open full time, and falling asleep to crickets at night is by far the best
• I'm finally reading Interview with the Vampire. I kept putting it off, and it's SO good.
• Nick and I have been into finding the perfect sandwich recently which has evolved into us making increasingly complex sandwiches at home. The other day I made this absolute banger of a sandwich, which was vegetarian except for the Worcestershire sauce (which can easily be left out). It's a Portobello mushroom French dip, and I had leftovers today, and they were still absolutely the best.

because I'm hungry.
5. Oat bread; delightful, a little crunchy, good dense bread to accompany a potato or mixed veggie soup.
4. Italian; a classic, great with garlic, cheese, parsley or just good ol' melted butter.
3. French; good for French toast, fancy grilled cheese, or a sub sandwich. I'm pretty sure subway uses this with cheese and herbs sprinkled on, and subway has some damn good bread.
2. Cheddar/pepperoni/banana pepper; an excellent snack on its own, but objectively the best pairing for any kind of bean soup, especially pinto beans. Great combo of salty and sour and spicy.
Rye; we love a versatile queen, and rye is as versatile as it gets. Dark, light, seeded, seedless; beef and pastrami sandwich dipped in broth, chicken sandwich with mustard, or just plain, maybe with a little bit of butter. All of these are S tier foods and that is why rye gets the #1 spot.

my day was pretty good all things considered. the things we’re considering is that I worked 3-8 instead of 12-5 today and I don’t even have a show to watch with my family tonight. the bachelorette was crazy last night kallie you would have loved it.
anyways the play by play of my day was I woke up at 9:55 bc my friend has her radio show from 10-12 and I listen as often as I can. but it wasn’t even her on the radio it was some other bitch but I was already awake so I just stayed up even though I was up late last night reading fanfiction and texting bi guy jason and journaling. so I ate my breakfast which was an overripe mango which I ate peel and all over the kitchen sink and gas station potato wedges I got from work two days ago. it was fine. and I watched a youtube video on the barbie movie by a youtuber I’m subscribed to while I ate. but I was still tired and I had enough time to take a nap so I did and let me tell you the last fucking thing I wanted to do was get up but alas I did. and I was hungry so I had a struggle meal (so you could call every meal I have these days) it of an entire can of green beans. I heated them in the microwave ofc but honestly they were fucking delicious.
I left for work a little later than I wanted and that was stressing me out and I started listening to my playlist from last summer and I must have played that shit to death bc I skipped like a million songs before I got to one I could listen to. I got to work and I liked all my coworkers that were there which is a fucking miracle and my three favorite coworkers (the guy my age, the woman who got hired the day before me, and the manager who doesn’t give a shit how much work anybody’s doing and has been perpetuating the wheels vs doors debate for a week) were all there so I was content. even if all the customers were fucking cunts for some reason like idk what was in the air today but people were being such assholes but it was fine bc every time they walked away my coworkers and I would just talk shit about them. btw I didn’t like the woman who got hired the day before me at first but now me and her are like this 🤞 ily sandy. she’s so fucking real and every time I tell her that she’s so real she laughs bc she thinks it’s such a funny phrase. but she literally is I swear to god I would have lost it if I was the only new cashier. but apparently she got a way better training process then me bc she’s constantly like “nobody taught you how to do x or told you that you need to do y? that’s so weird” like yeah sandy it is weird. and both of us have the same irrational fear that every other one of our coworkers hates us but at least we like each other so it’s fine. bottom line I love sandy she’s my best friend and I hope when summer ends and I quit that she goes and finds a better job she deserves it. also both of us got soooooo excited when we saw the new halloween candy display like fuck yeah you know what time it is
all the coworkers were talking about arbys at work and I’ve never even gotten anything other than fries and I was starving and we have no food at home because my family sucks at grocery shopping so I went to arbys and got a french dip sandwich and some mozzarella sticks. the sky was beautiful on the drive home and when I got there my mom was sitting on the couch in the front room crocheting but I opted to be a hermit and eat in my room. I got some grease on my bedspread but it’s fine. I started the new garrett watts video bc I have to watch all of his videos it’s tradition. well it’s usually tradition to drink starbucks while I watch his videos. maybe instead of finishing it while I go through my drafts I’ll watch it tomorrow after work and get myself a lil drink as a treat. bc that tradition started back in 2020 when every thursday after my last online class instead of killing myself like I wanted to I would go and use my years and years of starbucks gift cards to buy myself a lil drink then go on a lil drive and go home and drink my drink while I watched the newest sweet boys (garrett watts and andrew siwicki) podcast episode while I embroidered. anyways after that greasy ass dinner I was feeling like collapsing and dying so I ate half a green bell pepper in the kitchen. and even though that was all like less than an hour and a half ago I’m really fucking hungry again. I literally don’t understand how I’m always so hungry. it’s pissing me off.
since then I’ve just been fucking around on my phone and I think I’m gonna write my diary entry of the day then take my shower (I have to wash my hair boo👎👎👎) then try and go to sleep I’m fucking exhausted. speaking of my diary thanks for asking me this bc I’m probably just gonna copy paste it instead of actually writing the diary entry for today. which I’m ideally gonna write in a week but I’m back to being two weeks behind on my diary again. I knew that was gonna happen with dani visiting and all but it still sucks. hopefully I can get my act together before school starts. thanks!
