I have to ask how did Five (and I’m assuming the rest of the hargreeves) know about the 43 babies born with powers

How did Reggie even tell them like lmao guess what there’s 36 more like you in the world wait did he tell the kids???

I was always confused by the cuz surely with powers like Ben/the horror it would’ve made the news or something right? Or seeing the Umbrella Academy on the TV (this also applies to Sparrow timeline) wouldn’t the 36 children be like hey they’re like me wth

Even Lila I think about cuz she got picked up by the commission (did the handler know about her power??) and by that logic why not just pick up the other 35 to superpower them commission entirely???

SNIPPET of Chapter 26: Cherries

“I feel sort of stupid now for asking,” she says, apparently oblivious to the effect she’s having on him. “But thank you for staying with me tonight. I’m really glad you’re here.”

“Psssh, don’t worry about it, you’re welcome. Besides, it gets me off my brother’s couch for the night. I don’t think he enjoys having Public Enemy Numero Uno as a houseguest. Annnd… I’m pr-e-tty sure his girlfriend thinks I did it.” Klaus toys with the glass in his hand as he weighs the full extent of the judgements against him. “Everyone thinks I did it,” he sighs.

“No, that’s not true.”

“Yeah. Yeah, yeah. It is. Everyone… everyone except you.”

Sarah emits an ironic chuckle. “Yeah, well, if I were gonna draw up a list of suspects, you wouldn’t be at the top.”

“But you… you barely know me.” He turns on the couch, facing her head-on now. “You knew I didn’t do it though, didn’t you? Why, I mean… how?”

Sarah turns her face away. She clears her throat and places her glass down on the coffee table. “Klaus, I don’t think we should get into this now.”

“Don’t think we should- are you crazy?” Klaus sits up straight on the couch. “If you know something and you’re not telling me...”

“Klaus, please.”

He reaches out and turns her by the shoulder, forcing her to look at him. “Sarah, this is my life on the line here. I’m toast if you don’t tell me what you know. Please.”

okay so I know many people have been upset with the lack of Dave in season 3 of TUA, and hell I'm with y'all.

but here's my thoughts because I've been thinking about it for wayy too long.

At this point, all most of want is closure. We don't care if we don't see them together one last time, we just need to know if the writers are done with that arc and where their story ends.

now yes, season 2 attempts this: the scene where Dave searches for Klaus before being forced to get on the bus and where Klaus is looking lovingly at the tags.

but this was poorly written for many reasons. as we've seen, klave shippers have been dying for more in S3, if those two scenes in S2 had been done well, we wouldn't be here.

now into the scenes themselves: Dave searching for Klaus just gives the viewers hope that Dave and Klaus were still meant to be and if they wanted to finish the arc, Dave needed to be just barely curious about if Klaus would be there

Klaus's scene I'd argue is even worse for the arc, Dave's one is perfectly fine in all honesty. but it's the way Klaus is longingly looking at those tags, the first time I watched the scene I saw it as Klaus missing Dave and reminiscing. And while that's not an incorrect interpretation, if the writers were in fact finishing the arc, then I'd argue the scene is Klaus saying "This is what's left of my Dave, and that's okay, he's gone and I tried to do something but it didn't go well, but that's fine because my Dave is with me here."

all they had to do to finish their arc was to have just one scene in S3 where Klaus says he's moved on but not forgotten. and I do appreciate what the writers were doing, after all viktor, Allison and Luther's arcs this season were all very centred around their love interests so they a) didn't want that for Klaus too b) had a very interesting arc for him planned. But then we're back to what I said about them then just giving us one line to end it instead of plain ignoring it

I don't have high hopes for anything about Dave in season 4, as much as I really think they need to and I so badly want, because as far as the writers seem concerned: that storyline is over.

if they do one good thing in series 4 it'd be to show us Klaus moving on or give him Dave back, just anything, something to give the fandom closure.

The second harvest in the 'Bomb/Cosmic Dust Storm universe is the one Viktor hates because it's a concentrated dose of very, very strong brotherly concern.

It is the first harvest Allison attends, so everyone is kinda awkward and Sissy's eyes are more on her than Viktor, leaving him undefended from the brother swarm

It is the first harvest after they learn about Viktor's health issues (liver damage, heart damage/accelerated risk of heart attack) and there's high concern about the stress of farm work

This interview drops in Score not even two months before, activating brother-protect mode years too late.

Viktor Hargreeves is a hard man to get ahold of. While his recent composition Celebration has captured lots of attention, the man himself hasn't been heard of for since he quietly slipped out of the chamber music scene after the release of his autobiography. Part of that was because he found love in the rare New York wheat farms south of Rochester, but also bad experiences with public attention that range from stressful interviews to harassment to kidnapping.

I tell him I'm honored to be trusted for his first interview after all that, and Viktor tells me it has nothing to do with me and everything to do with a stronger sense of who is he and what he's capable of.

"Plus," he says, jerking a finger toward the farmhouse where his wife and son are. "Sissy is a crack shot. She'd blow out your tires as you drive away.

It doesn't help that in Shrapnel, they all learned that Viktor will absolutely lie to them if he thinks it's to their benefit so Luther is trying to gently pry information out of Viktor, letting him know he's there as support while Diego and Five want names. Klaus doesn't truly press about the kidnapping, he understands not wanting to linger on or bring up past trauma, but does try to prevent Viktor from feeling frustrated from being assigned kitchen duties. And it's Ben who goes about reining in Diego and Five before Viktor blows up at them.

The Umbrella Academy, 2x06 – A Light Supper

Well, the workers at the restaurant have quite the story to tell their families tonight. Also, I’m beginning to feel that the cult around Klaus has less to do with inspirational words and more to do with the fact that these are people who just wanted something so that they could escape their conventional lives. But, hey, at least Klaus tried to tell them the truth.

But we start the episode with the events that happened to Allison when she is dropped into 1961. None of them are pretty. After being told to leave the diner, she is accosted by three white males. When she doesn’t answer them (because she can’t speak) they chase after her. The only thing that saves her is that she finds the beauty parlor and runs inside. The men run in after Allison and are greeted by one woman holding a pair of scissors and another brandishing a hot curling iron. Time passes and Allison starts to work at the beauty salon, where she meets Ray.

Cut to present day, where Allison has told him everything. Of course, he doesn’t believe it without a demonstration. So, she takes him to a local clothing store, who clearly don’t cater to anyone other then white men, and she makes sure Ray is served. She also gets a dress for herself as well. Ray’s having fun, but also questions why Allison hasn’t used her powers to help the cause. Ray is about to get a rude awakening as they pass by the diner.

Allison storms into the diner and tells the owner to shut his damn mouth. Then, she tells him to pour of cup of coffee and keep pouring and keep pouring; even though he is clearly burning himself. Ray tells Allison to stop, but he has to say it a few times before she will listen. When they return home, Ray asks Allison if she ever used the power on him and would he know if she did (fair question as Allison has used her powers that way before, even if it wasn’t on Ray). The conversation isn’t continued, though, as Allison gets an invitation to dinner.

Meanwhile, Five is dealing with The Handler. She has a deal for him, because of course she does (getting old here). The Handler wants to be in control of the Commission, so she needs Five to take out the board of directors. Now, no one knows who they are and they meet in secret locations, but she just so happens to know where they’re meeting next. If Five kills them, she will take Five and his siblings out of this timeline, put them into 2019, and prevent both apocalypses. Five isn’t willing to agree yet, as he still thinks he can get help from Reginald. But he does agree to think about it.

Meanwhile, Dave visits the compound. Klaus, again, tries to convince Dave not to join the army; but what he’s telling Dave is just too much for him. Besides, due to the incident with Klaus at the diner, Dave’s uncle already had Dave sign up for the army. He ships out next week.

And then, just to get a few things quickly out of the way, Lilia isn’t happy about not being tasked with killing the board. The Handler tells her that she’s using Five as a scape goat, which is why she went to him and not Lila. The Handler also notices that Lila seems to have feelings for Diego and so she tracks down the other two Swedes and gives them Diego’s address (as they believe Diego is the one who killed their brother).

Meanwhile, Diego, Luther, and Vanya talk about meeting with Reginald. Diego says they need to go in as a team. Also, in one of the scenes at the compound, Klaus and Ben have another argument and Ben (somehow) seems to posses Klaus’s body. Anyway, everyone receives an invitation to dinner and they all go.

The dinner goes about as well as expected. Reginald clearly gives no shits about these people (of course, he’s also never met them at this point); but wants to know why they keep following him. Diego throws a knife at Reginald; Allison has Diego punch himself in the face; Vanya blows up the salad; Luther rips open his shirt to show Reginald what he did to him in the future; and Ben posses Klaus, but it’s so brief that everyone thinks Klaus is having a seizure. The only person Reginald seems to find interesting is Five and invites him to have a private word.

Five tells Reginald about the events that lead Five to this moment and asks for Reginald’s help. Reginald says that Five is going too big with his powers and never learned to control them. That he needs to start small; after all, empires can be topples in seconds. And, to be fair, Reginald isn’t wrong here. However, Five feels as though it’s not enough. So, he goes and makes a deal with The Handler.

Meanwhile, Elliot comes back to his apartment and is attacked by the Swedes. They demand he tells them where Diego is.

Outside of the restaurant, Diego sees Grace sitting in the car. He shows her the picture of Reginald on the grassy knoll and tells her that Reginald’s going to kill JFK. She doesn’t seem to believe him; but they probably didn’t put this scene in for no reason, so we’ll see what happens next. Meanwhile, Vanya sees Sissy waiting for her.

Vanya and Sissy go off together and park out in a clearing. Sissy explains to Vanya why she acted the way she did the night before; which was pretty much the same reason that I figured in my post on 2x05. The fact is, that people will not take kindly to two LGBTQ persons in that area. Still, Vanya manages to convince Sissy to run away with her. Sissy agrees, but says they have to be careful as Carl’s brother is a cop. Vanya says they’ll be fine because they’ll pretend like everything’s normal until they leave and then the two start to make out in the car. But, because you know this can’t end well, it turns out that Carl was following Sissy and he sees what is happening. Although that’s where the story ends in this episode.

Meanwhile, Diego and Luther go back to the apartment to find Elliot dead and a message on the floor written in Elliot’s blood.

i said that Stick Season by Noah Kahan reminds me of Klaus Hargreevesin season 3 and now here's a lyric analysis to explain why it reminds me sm of him

"so i thought that if i piled something good on all my bad that i could cancel out the darkness i inherited from dad" do i need to explain?

A Klaus Hargreeves Story

A/N: Sorry for the extra short snippet - if I gave you any more than this, it would spoil the whole chapter!

Chapter 23: Visitor

SNIPPET: Hospital is not so bad, all things considered. Regular food, regular dr**s. A place to rest his head. Someone to fluff up his pillow every few hours and check he’s peeing regularly. Klaus imagines this must be what it’s like to live in a nursing home: total infantilisation. A relinquishing of all responsibility, even for his own bodily functions. If he weren’t being investigated for murder and pissing blood, he could even allow himself to enjoy it - if they’d only serve him a damn drink in this place.

He’s not sure how much time passes, or how much of it he spends wandering the white rooms of op**te-induced sleep, but at some point Diego pays him a visit.

“Another fine mess you’ve got yourself into, bro,” he says, dumping a handful of magazines and a packet of grapes down on Klaus’ overbed table. He’s caught Klaus at a more lucid moment, in between doses, and while Diego might pretend to be weary of his brother’s ability to find himself neck deep in shit, his concern is impossible to conceal. It’s written all over his face; the creases in his brow, the dark circles under his eyes. The man has been worried.

“Aw, Diego. You do care, after all,” Klaus teases, popping a couple of the grapes. “I prefer the red ones though,” he adds with his mouth full.
