[cw: briefly appearance of a homophobic characer who uses a slur]
He looked like sunlight.
I'd never seen hair that colour before, that bright mix of platinum and and sunflower. I'd had a few beers by that point, and when I saw him across the dance floor I thought he was on fire.
The bar wasn't anything special. It was grimy, like I liked it, the dance floor had less room to move than some prison cells I'd been in (and considerably more sticky). I figured I'd have a drink, have a dance, have a fight, then have *another* drink from one of these drab buggers.
But there he was, lighting up the night. And I swear I'd never known the meaning of the word effulgent until I saw him.
“Mate, your hair, it’s…” I was slurring,
“It’s great, isn’t it? It’s called Platinum Blonde. Like the movie?”
“The Jean Harlow film?” I’d actually seen that flick back in the ‘30s. It made me have hitherto unexplored feelings about blondes. “She was biteable…”
“I know, right?” He nods at me and smiles and I want him doing that forever.
“Bloody right.”
“You’ve got a cute accent…”
When we left the bar, we didn’t just go to some convenient alley where I would drain him dry and move on. No, tonight was special. And maybe it was the cheap whiskey or maybe pollution or maybe it was him, but the night air shimmered as we passed. The streetlamps flickered wherever we walked, as they knew they could never be as bright as *him*.
We ended up at a late night drug store. He guided me through the brightly coloured packages like he was an alchemist and I was his precious student. I’d never had much time for that mystical shite like some of my type, but this was the kind of neon magic I could get behind.
“This one.” He said, fingers caressing a cardboard package on which a woman with a dazzling smile modelled even more dazzling locks.
“What the bloody hell is Clairol? Is that this bird’s name?”
“Nah, it’s the name of the brand, man. Bringing platinum to the masses.” He had one hand in my hair, tousling the mousy strands and I was incredibly aware of his pulse roaring through his veins. “Spinning straw into gold…”
He was still playing with my hair when we got to the checkout. The clerk gave us a look like he wanted to say something. I was feeling peckish by then, so I just licked my lips at him and pressed myself a bit closer against the living star next to me.
“Fucking fags.” I didn’t really give a bugger, but I saw my star’s face fall. Not much, just enough to make him burn a little less brightly.
Then my hand was around the clerk’s throat and he was choking.
The star didn’t say anything, he just put one firm hand on my arm. Gently. I don’t know why, but I lessened my grip.
“Apologise.” I said it slowly and carefully, drawing out every syllable, letting myself feel the word taut in the air.
He mumbled something that was close enough to sorry to make no odds.
We went back to his place.
I’d never had someone wash my hair before. It was a bit like what being bitten felt like. It felt vulnerable. Transformative.
And after we’d washed the chemicals out, I stood there and I looked in the mirror and … of course, there was no-one looking back at me. But the way *he* looked at me, I bloody well felt like a new man.
His hands were in my hair again. I smiled at him. We fell onto the bed with our hands tangled in each other.
I waited until the sun came up before I did it.
But as the first rays began to creep round the curtains and sting my eyes, I bit hard and drank deep.
And he tasted like sunlight.

Shopping
Summary: Trying on some clothes! With your favorite ler, what could go wrong?
You stare outside the window with your fist on your chin. The window is slightly warm, but it doesn't burn you.
"How long has it been? Two days?" I said, my hands on the wheel.
I was driving you to the mall. You were angry at me because I had forgotten to do the dishes two days ago.
"But you won't apologize." You glanced to the driver's seat, looking for my reaction. I had only opened my mouth, but closed it again.
"I'm sorry." I said, pretty sincerely, but not sincere enough to get forgiveness just yet.
"Maybe I can help you with something, then would we be even?" I looked over as much as I could without creating a big danger.
You finally turned over to face me, but not making eye contact. "Yeah I guess. I could use it, maybe."
"M-kay, so what should I do?" I made a right turn at a light.
The black exterior of the car was bad for the summer, making it a bit hot. I turned on the air conditioner, and you positioned your fans toward you.
"It's getting hot these days, so I was thinking of getting some cooler shirts." You leaned back in your seat.
"Sure!" The car slowed as we reached our destination.
After parking both of us exited the car, walking the short walk in-between the parking lot and the large shop.
The shop was a beige color, and the bricks were a bit rocky seeming. The super-store expanded the length of the parking lot, and was one story tall. There were 3 different entrances, and we walked toward the center one. The glass was slightly blue, and it reflected the puffy clouds in the sky.
As we entered the large market, there was a small beep. I grabbed your hand and we walked through the long aisles to the clothing section at the back. You had a tiny flinch, but you didn't let go.
I squeezed your hand as we stepped between stands of tank tops and shirts, grabbing one or two every once in a while. We stopped suddenly, nearing the dressing room.
"Ok wait here," You said gesturing towards a bench beside the red curtains of the dressing room.
I sat down, crossing my arms slightly impatiently, but you were quick at changing and came out in a navy blue crop top.
"Wow, niceeee" I walked in circles around you. "You look really good in-"
Your brain blocked out the rest, because something heavenly and hellish at the same time touches your uncovered armpit, and you can't even flinch before you whirl around, grabbing my hand, but it's too late. My other hand has already made its target, and softly falls to your tummy.
The little scribbles as if I'm a kid drawing with Crayola's are forcing your throat to close up as you desperately try to stop the ripples of little giggles and snorts.
"StoP, STOHOJAHAHP RIGHIITAH NOWWOWOW" As you open your mouth to speak, hell breaks out and you can no longer hold it back.
Each of your nerves cry for attention but they also scream in joy and terror as I make contact with your upper thighs. You almost SHRIEK in joy as I roughly dig into your muscles, like a massage, but in no way relaxing.
"Aw, stop trying to grab my hands, I know you love this, so stop trying to take this away from yourself." You had thought you had gotten away from my teases this time, but now you were blushing and flailing all over. You would've thought that people would be staring by now, but the store was surprisingly empty.
"EEK, GUHSHA" You rolled over, protecting your overworked tummy, but suddenly, your legs were completely immobilized as I locked my thighs around yours and rocketed onto your sides.
The tingling was so bad that your eyes were locked closed at this point, and you thought you wouldn't even have enough time to try on the other clothes.
You wriggled, not whatsoever in control of your body.
I had stopped directly tickling you, but the ghost tickles kept you rolling for a whole minute. "STOHHOHOP, STOP STOP-" You gasped for breath, the moment your body finally caught up to the fact that I hadn't touched you in multiple minutes.
You gave me a punch as you ran back into the changing room to avoid any more public embarrassment. Not that anyone had seen you. Actually, no one was even around to hear you... Actually, maybe it wasn't so bad...
You tried a few more shirts on, extremely careful to make sure all your weak points were covered, avoiding any tank tops or crop tops.
You could tell I was a bit disappointed, but what were you to care. He had tickled you. IN PUBLIC TOO! He deserved this. After the on edge dressing, we went to the cashier and started ringing up a few shirts.
Suddenly, I spotted a navy blue crop top. You could tell I had noticed it because I gave you a look of total slyness that you wished you could tear right off of my face.
You ran to the car, avoiding any chance of torture, but in the car, you were forced to sit only a foot away, and you knew what you were gonna get.
"TICKLE, TICKLE, TICKLE" I softly scratch at your specifically covered stomach, lifting your arms, somehow fast enough you can't even wriggle.
You jump backward trying to get away, but the door stops you from moving. Almost as if you have your seat belt, you couldn't move at all, enhancing every little nerve activation. You silently screamed.
"Aw, come on. I knowwwww you love it, why did you get the shirt if not?" I grinned. "Can't you just tell it to me, 'I want you to destroy me with tickles?'"
'OH MY GOSH IF HE DOESN'T SHUT UP RIGHT NOWWOWOW I'LL-HAHAHAHH' You think, completely confused how you were even laughing in your mind?
Suddenly you feel your shoes slide off, and you're allowed a moment of panic before little waves of dots and dashes rush into the sensitive skin on the bottom of your feet. You stop yelling to yelp and you kick as hard as you can, but the hands just fall onto your tummy.
"Maybe I shouldn't have asked you to speak- Now just tell me, look into my eyes and give me a big laugh, and I'll know you lovvveeee it~"
Surely your face is as red as a literal fire, and you're sure it's as hot as one. Every single nerve is burning in desire of tickles and desire that the tickles will stop, relieving you of this torture.
"Aww, your screaming turned into your adorable laughter, just like I asked. You would ask for this everyday if you could get the courage, wouldn't you my tickle bug."
You have NO idea how I can just say tickle, and you feel like the surface of the sun. You are melted and no longer even have the energy to wriggle, just sitting on your seat. You think that it's ended, but little tingles remain, as if your body doesn't accept that it's ended. You suddenly sway, the car starting to move, but you can't even buckle yourself.
You close your eyes, giggling as little ghost tingles take you over.

First Time 🍑🤭🤎
I sat nervously on the edge of the bed, my heart pounding in my chest. Tonight was the night I had been waiting for – an intimate encounter with both Minho and Jisung. It was thrilling and overwhelming at the same time. My mind raced with a mix of anticipation and anxiousness.
We had all decided that it would be best to take it slow and make sure we were comfortable every step of the way. It was a new territory for all of us, but our bond and trust made the experience feel both exciting and safe.
Earlier in the evening, we had ventured out together to a nearby store. We walked the aisles, feeling a mix of embarrassment and amusement as we discreetly searched for lubricant. It was our way of acknowledging the importance of both pleasure and the need for care. We laughed nervously, feeling like mischievous teenagers embarking on an adventure.
As we stepped back into our apartment, the atmosphere shifted. The room was dimly lit, candles flickering gently, casting a warm glow over everything. Soft music played in the background, creating an ambiance of romance and intimacy. The air was heavy with a mixture of nervousness and desire.
I watched with bated breath as Minho and Jisung locked eyes with me, their own excitement mirrored in their expressions. They approached me slowly, their movements graceful and confident. Their hands intertwined with mine, their touch sending shivers down my spine.
Gently, Minho kissed my lips, his touch tender and full of affection. Jisung's hand caressed my cheek, his eyes filled with adoration. Their touch sent waves of pleasure radiating through me, igniting a fire deep within.
We made our way to the bed, the three of us moving as one. They undressed me slowly and with care, making me feel cherished and loved. Each whispering sweet words of reassurance, they created an environment of trust and comfort.
Laying naked before them, I felt vulnerable yet eagerly ready to explore this new chapter of our relationship. The lubricant we bought earlier lay beside us, a reminder of our shared devotion to each other's pleasure and well-being.
Together, we embarked on a journey of passion and tenderness. Every touch, every kiss, and every caress was a symphony of romance and desire. We moved together as if in a delicate dance, finding perfect harmony between three bodies longing for connection.
It was a night filled with deep bonds forged in passion, with every moment etched into our memories forever. Minho's lips trailed kisses along my neck, sending shivers down my spine, while Jisung's hands explored my body with gentle reverence. The sensations were electrifying, overwhelming my senses with a mixture of pleasure and love.
We took our time, ensuring that no one felt left out or neglected. Their hands intertwined with mine, creating an unbreakable bond as our bodies entwined in a beautiful display of intimacy. It was an experience filled with exploration, trust, and a shared understanding of each of our desires.
As the night wore on, our passion intensified. The room was filled with the sounds of whispered moans and the rhythmic movements of bodies in unison. The scent of arousal hung heavy in the air, mingling with the sweet aroma of the candles.
Each moment felt like an eternity, and yet it also felt fleeting, as if time itself had ceased to exist. We surrendered ourselves to the experience, giving in to the overwhelming wave of pleasure that consumed us.
Afterwards, as we lay intertwined in a tangle of limbs, I felt a profound sense of bliss. The room was filled with warmth and an undeniable sense of love. Our bodies glistened with sweat, evidence of our passionate connection.
We held each other, sharing soft kisses and tender whispers. It was in these moments of intimacy that I realized the depth of our connection, the trust we had built together. This experience had brought us closer, forging an unbreakable bond between the three of us.
As the night came to an end, we embraced, knowing that this was just the beginning of our journey together. The memory of our first time, surrounded by romance and fueled by love, would forever be etched in our hearts.
In the days and months that followed, our relationship deepened, evolving into something beautiful and unique. Our shared first time was just the beginning of an incredible exploration of passion, trust, and love between the three of us that would continue to unfold as we ventured into a future filled with endless possibilities.

Damn Your Lies
Pairings: Modern!Bucky Barnes x Rogers!Reader, Implied Bucky x Natasha Romanoff
Word Count: 1,947
Warnings: ANGST. Like lots of angst. Hints at cheating.
Summary: You feel Bucky pulling away from you. When you meet the new neighbor, everything comes to light.
A/N: This is based off the song The Chain by Fleetwood Mac. There is a possibility for a part 2 if enough people want one.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
There was something going on with Bucky. He’s been acting strange for a few weeks now. When I asked him about it he just said he’s been spending more time with “a friend”. A. Friend. Not “my friend”, just “a friend”. I don’t understand why he won’t even tell me who it is. I thought I knew all his friends.
Bucky is currently out with his friend. Just the one friend. And I hate this feeling I have, like I know he’s doing something he shouldn’t. This has become a routine at this point. Bucky tells me he’s leaving, I ask where he's going, he tells me a friends, and I sit on the couch or lay in bed with this sick feeling until he gets back.
It’s almost midnight now. This is the latest Bucky has been. I know I sound super jealous right now, but when you get this feeling, it’s the only thing you can be.
I must have fallen asleep. I feel Bucky laying next to me. I can hear him snoring. I open my eyes and he has his back to me. I can see a sliver of sun peeking through the curtains in the room. Slowly getting out of bed, as to not wake Bucky, I make my way to the kitchen.
I stop in the middle of the hallway. I can hear Bucky saying something, but I can only make out a part of it before I hear snoring again. With softer steps, I continue making my way to the kitchen to start breakfast.
By the time Bucky finally gets up, it’s almost noon. “ Good Morning Buck.I made breakfast and coffee if you want some.”
He grumbles before responding. “ Thanks. Not hungry though.” He grabs a cup of coffee before going back to the bedroom. I follow him. He’s not normally like this in the morning. He normally is happy for some breakfast and engages in conversation.
“Are you ok, Bucky? Is there something wrong?” He’s facing away from me sitting on the edge of the bed. The curtains have been opened and the sun is blazing through them now. I notice Bucky still has last night's clothes on, although they look more messy and wrinkled now.
“I’m fine. Just tired s’all.” Bucky said before sipping some coffee. He’s still facing away from me at this point, so I walk around the bed to sit next to him. Before I make it all the way around, he turns on the bed to face me, and I see it. Dark red lipstick on the collar of his shirt.
I stop before I make it to him. Bucky looks at me and his brows furrow. “I’m going to go clean the bathroom.” I say quickly and exit the room before he can say anything.
I make it to the bathroom and lock the door. I hear footsteps in the hallway. None of them come to the bathroom. It sounds like Bucky’s getting ready for work. I hear his footsteps in the hallway one last time before I hear the front door open and close.
That’s when I break down. My back slides down the door and I pull my knees to my chest and let the tears fall. I should have known better than to not question him farthing about things. I should have pushed harder for the truth.
At some point the tears stopped and I got up, cleaned myself up and continued on with my day. Bucky should be home around 6 pm tonight, which gives me plenty of time to go shopping and cook dinner.
I drove to the grocery store to get some things for dinner. As I was shopping, I noticed our new neighbor. Where Bucky and I live, it’s a very small town where we all know each other. I had heard of her from a few friends, but never got to meet her before now.
I walk up to her and introduce myself.  “Hi, I’m Y/n. You must be Natasha.” She had shoulder length, red hair and natural makeup on. I can see why everyone is already fawning over her. She’s beautiful.
“Yeah, I am. It’s nice to meet you.” She seems very anxious. Her eyes keep darting around and she keeps shifting feet.
“Well, why don’t you come over to my house for dinner tonight? It’ll be me and my boyfriend, Bucky.” I asked her. She froze when I said Bucky’s name, which is weird. “You can bring your partner if you’d like as well.”
“Oh, I’m actually not seeing anyone. But I’ll take you up on the dinner offer. It would be nice to make new friends.” Natasha said. She seems a little less fidgety.
I give her a big smile and give her my address. “ See you tonight then.”
“Yeah. See you.” She said before rushing off.
I finish shopping and make it home a couple hours before Bucky is supposed to be home. I start dinner and start setting the dining room up. By time I’m done, there's still a half hour before Bucky gets home, so I go change.
I hear the front door open and heavy steps walking through the house. I look at the clock in the bedroom and realize Bucky is home early. I walk out to the living room where he’s taking his boots off. “ You’re home early, Buck.”
“Yeah. I finished work early.” He said without looking up from where he was unlacing his boots.
“Ok. Well I invited the new neighbor, Natasha, over for dinner. I’m making your favorite roast.” At Natasha’s name his fingers on his boot laces freeze briefly before continuing.
“Ok sweets. Fine with me.” He finishes taking his boots off and goes to the bedroom. I hear the over chime, so I go to the kitchen to finish dinner.
As I’m transferring everything from the kitchen to the dining room, the doorbell rings. I make my way to the door and pull it open. On the other side is Natasha. “ Hi. I’m just finishing setting up dinner. You can go sit at the table if you'd like. Bucky should be out soon.” As if on cue Bucky walks out of the bedroom.
“You must be Natasha. I’m Bucky.” He says as he greets her. I finish moving everything and we all sit down. We engage in conversation for a while before I notice her lipstick.
“That's a beautiful shade of lipstick you have. Almost like a perfect dark red.” I said to her. I feel like I’ve seen that color before, I just can’t place where.
“Oh, thank you. I just love the color of it.” Natasha responds.
We keep conversation for another hour while we finish dinner. Natasha has to leave so we say goodbye and Bucky and I start cleaning up. “She seems nice. What do you think Bucky?”
“Um, yeah. She seems nice enough.” Bucky says. He’s still acting strange but I figure he’s just not feeling well or something.
I go to the kitchen to start on the dishes when I pick up the glass Natasha was drinking from. There’s remnants of her lipstick still on it and I remember where I saw it before. This morning on Bucky’s shirt collar. The glass falls from my hand and Bucky comes running in.
“Are you ok? I heard a crash.” He rushed out.
I smiled and looked at him. “ Yeah I’m fine. The glass slipped from my hand.” I turned back to the sink and continued with the dishes. He seemed fine with my response so he walked out of the kitchen. I could feel my breath getting more shaky as I held tears back.
Bucky was in bed sleeping by the time I was done with the dishes and got ready for bed. I laid with my back to him but couldn’t sleep. At this point I was silently crying, hoping what I’m thinking isn’t what’s happening.
Bucky must have woken up at some point because I feel his arms wrap around me before I hear him start talking. “Baby, are you crying?” He asked. He sounds genuinely concerned.
“No, I’m fine, Buck.” I sniffle and wipe my face before facing him. I know he can tell I’m lying just based on the way his face shifts.
“Don’t lie to me, doll. Tell me what’s wrong.” He says, cupping my face.
I pull away from him and sit up against the headboard. “Why won’t you tell me about your new friend? It seems like you’re always out with them, but you never tell me who they are or what you do.” I say while looking at him. He sits up and takes a minute to find an answer.
“Are you trying to insinuate I’m cheating on you?” He asks as he looks at me like I’m crazy.
“No, I just like to know what’s going on in your life.” I told him. He gets off the bed and starts pacing the room.
“Is that why you invited Natasha over? To try and catch me cheating?” He looks at me. His breathing is heavier.
More tears are springing in my eyes as I connect the dots. The lipstick, freezing when I said her name. “Was that her lipstick on the collar of your shirt last night?” I ask calmly.
He stops pacing and faces me fully. He looks like a deer in headlights. “What lipstick?” He asks almost in a whisper. I get off the bed and go over to the laundry basket where his shirt is. I pull it out and show him the stain. He looks at it closely before responding. “That’s your lipstick.”
“No, it’s not. I don’t wear this color. But Natasha does.” I throw the shirt at him as the tears finally make their way down my face. “Is she your new friend? The one you hangout with all night and refuse to tell me about?”
Bucky’s frozen. He knows now that he’s been caught. After a minute of no response from him, I make my way to the living room to grab my stuff. “Where are you going Y/n?” He chases after me with the shirt still in his hand.
“I’m going to sleep at my brothers tonight. I’ll come back for my stuff in the morning.” My breathing is heavier and I can barely see through the tears coming from my eyes.
“Don’t leave me,please. I love you. I promise nothing happened between me and Natasha.” He seems panicked now, as I collect my bag and coat.
“Bucky you don’t love me if you’re willing to let another girl get lipstick all over you and then lie about it.” I’m standing at the door now.
“I do love you.” He says loudly.
I turn around and face him. I’m tired of this back and forth. “ If you don’t love me now, you’ll never love me again. I know you fell out of love, Bucky. And that's ok.Goodbye Buck.”
Before he can respond, I run out the door. I start walking to Steve’s apartment.
When I get there, I knock on the door. It takes a minute for him to answer, but when he does, I run into his arms and cry hard. “Whoa, what's wrong?” He asks, pulling me into the living room.
“Bucky cheated on me.” Was all I could say before crying again. He looks mad now. I know Him and Bucky were best friends.
“You can stay here, as long as you need to.” He went and got some blankets for me and I laid on the couch before drifting into sleep.
Parts Of The Truth
Masterlist
Chapter Three
Warnings: foul language, my bad writing, infidelity, kinda sad, angst.(I listened to the other woman while writing this)
You sat at your desk, looking into his office. The position of your desk offered a direct view into it. Chewing on your pen, your eyes locked on his form, he was in a meeting, standing as he spoke to a client; Gary or Gus something like that, you truly were assistant of the year. You watched as he spoke, the way his lips moved, the way he spoke with his hands, the way he stuck his tongue in his cheek, signaling he was annoyed. You watched and watched as you often did. Your mind wanders to what your mother had said, you wonder if she is right, maybe you were incredibly stupid, maybe you were naive but frankly, you didn't care.
It had been two weeks since he fired Henry, he filed it as some bullshit like poor work performance. Things were fine so far, Padme came in often; more often than she usually did, bringing him lunch and making him laugh,fixing his tie and kissing him before she left again. Things seemed good between them, though not good enough for him to stop coming over. He came over to your place three nights a week, always the same excuse "My kid needs me" liar, was he a bad father? No but he wasn't exactly good either, he came; made sure Darcy had what she needed, bribed her with toys and kisses so that she'd tell him if mommy ever had any friends over. You chew on your lip as you watched him, his eyes meet yours through the glass for a mere second before he goes back to half ignoring whatever proposal this Gary Gus guy was pitching. You wonder what he's thinking if his thought match your own-
"Y/n" Ahsoka's voice almost gives you a heart attack. You shake your head, freeing yourself of the thoughts that plagued you, looking at her.
"hm?"
She squints at you, she was practically your best friend; the first person to warm up to you when you'd started at the company and stuck by your side since. "You better hope no one else catches you making heart eyes at the boss" she teases, you scoff.
"I wasn't 'making heart eyes' I was...thinking and just zoned out on accident"
"Right. How's Darcy? I miss the little brat" she asks.
Your face lights up, you love your baby, the sweetest most magical little girl. "She's good, she's starting school soon. She's so excited, made me buy everything cause she can't wait, even though it's just pre-school" you chuckle thinking of how she had made you and your mom buy one of each box of crayons at the store in the mall.
Ahsoka shakes her head "she's better than me, I hated everyday of school, pre-school to highschool I cried nearly everyday."
You cringed. "College was even worse, best years of our lives my ass." Ahsoka opens her mouth to speak when she's interrupted by Padme's voice behind her.
"I didn't realize it was lunch and you could gather already." You fight back the urge to roll your eyes, Padme wasn't a bad person, she just annoyed you. Ahsoka sighs walking back to her desk, you smile at Padme, as politely as you could.
"How can I help Mrs. Skywalker?"
She smiles, "Sorry, is Anakin free?"
"Sorry he's-" you're cut off by Anakin's hand around Padme's waist, he kissed her on the side of the mouth. You turn away watching as Gary Gus makes his way to the elevator.
"Y/n, push my meetings for this afternoon to Monday." He orders you. You smile.
"Are you sure Mr. Skywalker? The Chandler meeting was supposed to be at 2 to discuss th-"
"I said push the meetings," he says harshly, his free hand forming a fist on top of your desk. You swallow the feeling of embarrassment and nod.
"Yes sir"
He eyes you for a second before leaving with Padme, ushering her out, his hand tracing down her spine, you roll your eyes as you watch them head out. You don't know why, but you felt the urge to cry, taking a deep breath you composed yourself fixing your focus back to work.
Soon enough the day was over and you couldn't be more grateful. You shrugged off your coat, kicking off your heels, Darcy was rambling about her day with her grandma. "That's good baby" you kiss her cheek, you scrunch your nose jokingly.
"You need to bath, you smell like a boy"
She giggles "thanks a lot mama." You chuckle, she looks up at you, with her big blue eyes that she inherited from her father, "Can you do bath time mama? Pleaseeee?" You smile at her.
"okay, but don't beg, you look like a puppy" you chuckle, she raises her arms celebrating, you scoop her into your arms, taking her to the bathroom. Bath time was something Darcy loved every Friday, where you'd fill the tub with bubbles, put on the coloured lights and wash her while she played with a toy. You'd thought she would have outgrown it but so far, she hasn't. You figured it was comforting for her, in the same way she liked to sleep in your bed and crawl under your shirt, you allowed it because you didn't plan to have another child and Darcy was only so small for so long.
After bath time, you made her a nice dinner, she'd asked for Mac and cheese and of course you gave in. You stood in the door way of her bedroom watching as she snuggled up with her teddy, she was quick to fall asleep; a thing you were grateful she did from the time she was born. She had always been a good baby, quiet and cute; you wouldn't call yourself a religious person, but she was for sure your blessing.
Finally able to unwind you laid on the couch, prepared to finish a bottle of wine, stuff your face and watch every episode of 'Shameless' but that plan was interrupted, when a knock hit your door in an all too familiar pattern. You roll your eyes as you open the door.
"What are you doing here?" You ask in a hostile tone as Anakin pushes past you and into the house.
"It's my house, I can stop by when I want" he stands in the living room, eyes scanning for the smallest hint that another man had been around of course he'd find none.
You scoff, "Right. How come Padme let you out" you settle on the couch again, he joins you, his hand on your thigh.
"She's asleep. We have fun" he smiles, you swallow the lump in your throat. His hand comes up to run over your hair, pulling you close. You let him, enjoying the moment while it lasted.
"We fought" he says. "She's uh...she's just in one of those moods, angry about nothing, I don't know. She's just...she just needs to cool down" he sounds sad, he didn't really speak about his marriage when he was with you and Darcy, this was the first time and he seemed genuinely upset. He sighs tiredly, settling comfortably into the couch, he holds you in his arm, his eyes close.
"I love you Padme" he says. Your eyes close, you feel the single tear drop roll down your cheek, unable to stop it.
Warnings: Explicit, 18+ MINORS DNI, blowjob, handjob, ass play, allusions to oral sex (f receiving), lil size kink, a whole lot of sweetness.
Notes: Javi is my sunshine boy and if anyone was going to be the Honey Bear mascot, it would be him. Plus we have to celebrate you popping my Javi cherry (that sounds naughty because it is lol) and sharing our gorgeous sunny man!
You meant to make dinner for Javi tonight. You really did. Everything was chopped and marinating and seasoned and ready, but when he walked in the kitchen and his whole being lit up, you had to kiss him senseless.
“Mi amor,” he said with such wonder, eyes wide and smile crinkling his face, that you just couldn’t help pulling him down by his open collar and laying one on him. And another. And then so many more you don’t know how he got you down the hall and into his bed. Well, your bed. It still gave you butterflies remembering you shared it.
“I was trying to make you dinner,” you protest half-heartedly as he divests you of your shirt, yanking his own over his head before gathering you in his arms. The soft heat of his body curls your toes, bouncing locks tickling your chin as his mouth travels to kiss between your breasts.
“You are more delicious than any meal,” he says, licking your sternum and humming as if to prove it.
“Oh? What do I taste like?” you tease, carding your fingers through his caramel locks as he noses up and around your bra line. He cups the other in his palm, and you marvel at how his hand dwarfs it. Arousal grows sticky between your legs.
“Fresh melon. Prosciutto. Basil. Aged balsamic.” You giggle at each new culinary delight, basking in Javi’s attentions. His poetic soul makes you want to give more of yourself day by day.
“An excellent appetizer,” you say, tugging him up to return to your lips. His kiss is slick and hot, tongue dancing against yours.
“A whole meal, princesa,” he corrects, pulling you down to fit against his hips. Despite the playfulness he’s thick and throbbing against you, and a wicked little idea takes over. Lifting your hips, you roll him onto his back and lift to your knees, his hands coming to knead at your hips.
“You know what you taste like, Javi?” you ask, a twinkle of mischief in your eye and a plan in your smile. Javi’s smile falters briefly for confusion as you dismount him, moving to settle between his legs instead.
“Amor…” he says, eyebrows turning up as you lean down to mouth at his soft stomach. He tenses briefly, and you bulldoze over any self-consciousness by peppering his tummy with kisses and licks.  Soon he relaxes below you, and you admire how broad and golden he looks against the crisp white sheets, eyes hazy and hands reaching for you.
“You taste like honey,” you say, sliding your hands down to unbutton his linen pants. His breath stutters as you ease him out of the last vestiges of clothing, bare and perfectly laid out. “My honey bear,” you say, dipping down to press a kiss to the underside of his cock.
“Mi sol, I haven’t even…please, let me…” Javi’s voice cracks as you see him warring with his otherwise gentlemanly bedroom manners. He always makes you cum, as many times as you’ll let him, before he takes his own pleasure. Tonight, you have something in store for the man who stole your heart.
“Honey bear…” you whine, taking him in hand and sliding down to your elbows. With gentle pressure you guide his knees over your shoulders, breathing softly into the crease of his hip as he shudders. It’s new for him, letting you take his pleasure in hand this boldly, but you know exactly what you want to do to make him see stars.
“Okay, okay, yes, mi amor, whatever you want,” he breathes, stroking his thick fingers over the crown of your head. You reward him with a wet suckle over the head of his cock, his thighs clenching around your head. It rushes excitement down your spine and a burn of desire in your cunt as you slowly take him deeper and deeper into your mouth.
Javi’s cock surprised you the first time you saw it, expecting a broad sweet man to be more on the average side. But when you were treated to his girthy length you were impressed, and a little intimidated. Thankfully, Javi knew exactly how to use it, often, and with screaming success. But he rarely lets you suck him off, preferring a few licks before working himself inside you instead. Now, splayed out and trying to suppress his rocking hips, you hum with pride around him.
“Princesa, you are…so perfect. Let me lick your pussy, please, let me make you cum,” he begs, but you don’t let up on your thorough journey down his shaft. The spit dribbling from the corners of your mouth aids your hand as you stroke the remaining length, cupping his heavy balls in your other hand. An experimental stroke makes him shout, shaking with the effort of not clamping around your head. Satisfied you can take him on your next descent, you pop off and stroke him faster, catching his eye with a shiny smile.
“Honey bear, can I give you something more?” you ask, licking your lips as his gaze darts across your face.
“Anything,” he groans, bringing your wicked smile back. Returning to his cock, you descend at a steady pace, widening your jaw as your nose brushes the curls at his base. Just as you’re about to take him all, you press a spit-soaked thumb against his tight asshole and make even-pressured circles against him.
“Ay dios mío, mi amor, mierda, ohhhhhhh my god, please, please don’t stop, es muy bueno,” he moans, hips bucking against your hot mouth and forbidden touch. Speeding up, you deepthroat him with shallow strokes, swallowing hard around his thick cock, as you tease just the tip of your thumb against the quivering tautness of his asshole.
Javi cums with a ragged shout, pumping cum down your willing throat as you drink every last drop. You debate trying to urge him into a second, but give him reprieve as you slide off his cock and soothe his hot skin with your hands. He’s beautifully pink all over, head tossed back and chest heaving as he reaches for you. Tucking you into his side, he presses a kiss to the top of your head before diving his tongue into your mouth, tasting himself.
“Fuck, Javi,” you say, and that gorgeous smile swims into sight as he looks down at you like you indeed are his true love. You know it’s true for you.
“I like the nickname. Honey bear. It makes me happy,” he says, and you wonder if Javi can make anyone glow or if it’s just you.
Then he slides down the bed so quickly a laugh escapes, tossing your legs over his shoulders and burying his nose in your clothed cunt.
“Mi amor, now it’s my turn.”
I had to go into town that day for some supplies. Little did I know my life was going to change forever.
I first saw him standing casually outside of the saloon, talking to some men.
He was a large, rugged, handsome man.
I was instantly drawn to him. As if I've known him my entire life.
He glanced my way, looked back towards his friends, when his head snapped back in my direction.
Ours eyes locked and my heart skipped a beat.
The world around me stopped.
I knew this rugged handsome stranger with the piercing green eyes was someone special, someone who would redefine what I thought I knew about life, love, and destiny.
As I walked past, trying to appear indifferent, I could feel the intensity of his gaze like a physical touch. It was as if he could see right through me, to a part of myself I hadn't even acknowledged existed. The moment was brief, but it left a mark on my soul as indelible as ink on parchment.
Shaken by the encounter, I hurried to finish my errands, but the image of him lingered in my mind, haunting my thoughts.
I found myself concocting reasons to walk past the saloon again, hoping for another glimpse, another moment where the world seemed to pause in acknowledgment of the connection between us.
As fate would have it, our paths did cross again later that day.
He was alone this time, leaning against a post outside the general store, as if waiting for someone.
Our eyes met once more, and without a word, he pushed away from the post and approached me. "I feel like I've been waiting for you," he said, his voice low and inviting. It was a confession that sounded as reckless as it did sincere.
"I don't even know your name," I replied, my voice barely a whisper, caught between uncertainty and the pull of something much deeper.
He introduced himself, "Arthur," his name rolling off his tongue and settling in my heart as if it had always belonged there.
We talked as if we had known each other for years, sharing stories and laughs, the initial tension giving way to a comfortable familiarity.
As the sun dipped below the horizon, painting the sky with shades of orange and pink, I realized that this chance meeting was not chance at all.
In the days that followed, we found every excuse to be together, exploring the town, sharing meals, and unveiling parts of ourselves we had hidden away from the world.
With every word, every touch, I felt more alive, more myself than I ever had before.
He was a mystery, a puzzle I yearned to solve, yet with each piece that fell into place, I understood that what we had was something extraordinary, a bond forged by destiny.
It was not just love; it was an awakening, a realization that life could be more vibrant, more meaningful with someone who understood the very essence of my being.
He was not just a handsome stranger with piercing green eyes; he was my other half, the one who completed me in ways I had never imagined possible.
And as we stood together under the starlit sky, I knew that my life had changed forever, not because of a chance encounter, but because the universe had conspired to bring us together, to write a love story that would stand the test of time.
Dating Morris
I apologize for this
@studentinpursuitofclouds you seemed quite interested in these?👀
TW: Morris, they're cursed, even more Morris, heavy language
Gender: neutral
He fell for you the moment you stepped foot into his store. You only wanted to look at some groceries they're offering in the town in hopes to maybe find something from your old home, Zuzu City. Just as you were about to leave, Morris stepped in your way holding up a coupon.
"These are reserved for our very special customers."
"Uh thanks?"
"I'm looking forward to seeing you again."
Ever since that day he's been catching himself looking out of the wide window in case you walk by again.
When he gives out coupons at Pierre's shop he gives you two.
"Our pants are 50% off at the moment, but I'd rather see them 100% off you."
Before you can say anything Pierre practically sprints at you in the speed of a torpedo.
"That is NOT how you run a store!"
Morris starts visiting the town during events and found out through Shane that you sometimes visit the saloon.
He totally sends Sam and Shane on missions to give you more coupons or something Joja-level weird like instant cheese. Imagine being seduced by instant cheese.
Since he's hanging out around town way more, he's being challenged to a fist fight by Pierre on almost a daily basis. Of course he agrees to every single fight, because he doesn't want to look weak infront of you.
So now you got these two middle aged men beating the shit out of each other in the mornings and evening.
During one of these encounters Morris yells out his love for you.
"Just fuck off already! Haven't you ruined the local economy enough?"
"You think I'm staying here because of you? No, I'm here because of them!"
The two of you lock eyes for a moment and in the next you're in each others arms. Nothing can hold back the pure love and adoration you feel for one another. The kiss is deep and passionate and slightly uncomfortable.
You can expect for him to propose to you with another weird Joja-item that he bought with the coupons he originally seduced you with.
During the wedding everyone wears blue. The flowers are blue. The decoration is blue. The food is blue.
"I don't think this salad should be blue?"
"Don't question it, babe."
"But that doesn't seem healthy-"
"Sssshhhhh, everything from Joja is healthy, darling."
It isn't healthy. Every guest turned blue and passed out.
Call him babygirl. That's his favorite nickname.
He cooks regularly and with cooking I mean he prepares already made meals that for some reason smell of paint? Sometimes of plastic? But they don't taste of anything at all.
Morris is very protective and jealous. Not that he thinks you could leave him for someone else, no. He's more afraid of the people who could steal you away from his beloved Joja lifestyle.
Like when Pierre walks up to you Morris appears out of thin air and hisses. He literally hisses.
Pierre of course hisses back to assert dominance and that goes on for a short while until that hissing turns into aggressive meowing. After that there is no turning back. You look away for one second and they're at each other's throags again. Hair is being pulled, cheeks are being slapped.
Listen here, whatever you're doing to him- stop it. Or maybe he has to stop you himself?
.
.
Months passed after your small talk before school and ever since that happened his mind was focused on you only. He wakes up? Wonder if you're still sleeping. Eats breakfast? Wonder how would it be to eat with you, best with you sitting on his lap though. Driving to drop Max off to school? Shit, almost another cat driven over... He should be more focused. But he just can't! Your face, voice... Hell, even your fucking smell won't leave his mind alone. And you're not even here! He dearly hates that his mind is willing to think only about you. How can you have that much power over him?
.
.
.
.
.
.
"That brat better hurry up..." Huffed unpatiently Billy putting his second ciggarette away from his lips. He was waiting for Max in front of the Arcade... Again. Like he didn't have any better plans.
Looking through his car window he saw nothing important. Kids running aroud, some walking in and out od nearby stores, cars driving...
"Y/N! Hurry up!" Y/N? His blue eyes immadietly searched for your figure, finding it on the other side of the road trotting behind a group of people around your age. His chest and breath heavied, heart started beating faster- he hated and loved it all. What were you doing to him?
"Guys wait!" You yelled after them. Oh how sweetly you yelled, he would love to hear it elsewhere... Wait, what? What the fuck was that thought? He didn't even know you. Billy shaked his head and continued to look at you. When you caught up to your "friends", you and the rest of the small group were coming closer to his car, directly to the glass doors of the Arcade salon in front of his car. Suddenly when you came closer your stares locked.
"How nice, Y/N noticed me... but they seem so startled... Cute." Billy thought and shot you a pearly smile, nodding his head upside. You awkwardly and quickly tip-toed to the rest of your group, dissappearing within them.
.
.
.
Billy stepped out of his car and stomped on his slowly burning out ciggarette. After locking his car, he took a decisive step towards the entrance of the Arcade.
Smell of candies and heavy crowdy air made it's way up to Billy's nose. Honestly, ha hated places like these. Lots of younger kids running around, each of them making people, who were holding sodas stumble and almost trip over the edge of folded carpet.
His peace didn't last a second until someone bumped into him. Billy didn't even get a second to grab that brat and "nicely" remind him his place as they speeded away soon after.
Annoyed, he huffed, showed his hands in pockets and slowly made his way deeper into the loud, crowded area trying to find you. Though it wasn't that easy, as dark surrounded every corner- only led and game machines lights gave him some sort of acknowledgement of his surroundings.
After some time of looking around, he found your so called friends, cheering loudly for one of them, but... You weren't there. Billy stopped, his gaze slowly turning from right to left, until it stopped on one arcade game machine, which was standing alone in the corner, a little deeper than the rest. There was someone playing.
Billy slowly came closer and saw your face. Light coming from the monitor gave your S/C and H/C locks a blue-isch hue. You were like in a trance, eyes focused deeply on the game.
BUMP!
His hand slapped on the side of the machine you were playing on. Startled you jumped a little, immadietly losing focus on the game, which gave you a "Game Over" in response.
"Bill!" You said, still a little stunned. "It's Billy, hun." He winked, pushing his left arm on one side of the game machine, looking at you with his piercing blue eyes.
"What do you want?" You asked. "Woah, woah, woah, why so rude?" He put his hands defensively in front of him and chuckled.
"You forgot to smile back." Billy moved closer. "...what?" You said dumbfounded, backing away. "You.forgot.to.smile.back." Syllabled getting a little upset. "Didn't your mommy teach you how to greet others properly?" Asked older male.
Without warning Billy pinned you to the wall in the dark corner of the room. You were immersed in his shadow, only light coming from behind Billy's back, illuminating various vivid colors. With heavy breath he asked again "Does daddy have to teach you, darling?"
Your fist collided with his nose, easily pushing him away from you. He stumbled a little and leaned on a nearby game machine.
"What is wrong with you?!" You yelled and as quickly as you could stormed off to the exit.
.
.
.
.
.
Billy still stood there, with blood dripping down his chin, flowing by the sadistic looking smirk.
CHAPTER 4
Joe Burrow x Bisexual OC.
Warnings: Angsty. Smut-ish if you squint.
Word Count: 3k
Valeria gets home from work and she simply couldn't stop replaying what happened at the store over and over again in her mind. She texted Joe about how sorry she was but he was being really dry with her. Replying 'Ok' and 'We'll talk later' or even 'I'm Busy', which was annoying Valeria and even pissing her off at this moment. Valeria decides to turn off her phone and play at Joe's stupid immature game. She wasn't going to let him get to her, she was done. Joe was being childish and she didn't have to put up with that. Opening a wine bottle she pours the wine into a glass, filling it generously and makes her way to her bathroom. Debating on a bath she decides to just shower not wanting to shower first to then wait and fill up a bath, plus she was used to Joe's tub with the nice jets and room for two.
Turning the shower head on and letting the water heat up, Valeria chugs the rest of her wine like a frat boy would a beer and sets it down on the bathroom sink. After she undresses, Valeria steps into the hot shower letting the water relax her as much as possible and thinking about everything and anything that didn't have to do with Joe or even Summer because she was also clouding up her mind at the moment. It was working until she heard the door of her condo open and shut close. She had forgotten that Joe also had keys to her home like she did to his. So much for forgetting about him for right now.
"Turning off your phone? Real mature Val." Joe says walking into the bathroom disturbing Valeria's peace. She mouthed a string of cuss words for not remembering to lock her bathroom door before she got into her shower.
"Say's the one giving me one answer replies and also going basically M.I.A all day. Don't even try it. " Valeria scoffs as she lathers her body with body wash.
"I was at my parents. I wasn't going to be arguing with you while I was over there with them." Joe snaps back making Val roll her eyes.
"Whatever Joe, just let me shower in peace. It's been a long day. " Valeria says not caring to hear his excuses. She could hear him sigh in annoyance but he leaves the bathroom shutting the bathroom behind him. Though Joe was at her place waiting to continue their argument, she took her time showering before she finally stepped out drying off as much as she could before putting on her robe and drying her hair with a towel. Stepping outside of the bathroom she found Joe laying on her bed scrolling on his phone, which ticked her off even more.
"You know how I feel about outside clothes on my bed." She says to Joe who looks at her with an annoyed look before slowly standing up. Val makes her way to her drawers and searched for some underwear and pajamas.
"Took you long enough, now can we talk about what happened at the store." Joe sighs.
"I've apologized multiple times Joe and you clearly didn't give a shit so... what is there left to say? It's not my fault she did that & I didn't entertain it either." Val says rummaging through her drawers trying to find her matching pajamas.
"What do you mean It's not your fault, you didn't stop her or corrected her!" Joe argues back making Valeria scoff before turning around.
"She's not a dog or child Joe! She has no clue that I am in a relationship, much less with you." Valeria sighs rubbing her face in annoyance.
"You still could of said literally anything and respect our relationship!" Joe snaps back.
"Oh I'm sorry, am I the one that's wanted to be in a secret relationship for 4 fucking years?! Am I the one that told myself to even lie about in being in a relationship in general, because if we both start telling people we are in a relationship but don't disclose with who...people are going to assume, put two and two together and then figure out we're dating each other? No, that's you! You've never respected this relationship since the beginning much less me. " Valeria snaps at Joe.
"What does that have to do with your Ex girlfriend still flirting with you?! and don't you dare say I don't respect you Val because that's bullshit. " Joe says which made Val see red.
"Joe... if I have to lie about dating you and basically have to pretend I'm single. What the fuck do you think is going to happen? You have hundreds of girls throw themselves at you when you go out with your guys friends, in your DMs, at events and guess who the fuck has to suck it up because she knows that NONE of those people know about her and think you're this rich  bachelor? Does that not seem disrespectful to you in anyway?" Val says in a calm voice.
"So it's my fault?" Joe scoffs shaking his head.
"Yes! You quite literally made your own bed and now that you have lie in it, you don't like it. That's not my problem if other people hit on me, ask me out or perceive me as single. I do my part which is ignore it and seem uninterested but I'm not going to sit here and feel bad for a stupid comment a girl I liked in college made and you clearly feel threatened by." Val finishes making Joe scoff.
"I'm not threatened by anyone." Joe says with a stupid smirk on his face.
"Then why are you mad right now if you know I'm yours? Summer doesn't know we're dating cause I followed your little 'act single' rule we've been doing for years and now it's suddenly a problem. Shit, two months ago at guy at that barbecue we were at asked me for my number and you never brought it up or got bothered by it. You feel threatened because you know as long as she thinks I'm single, it's free game with me. You never liked the idea of her and I reconciling and now I know why." Val chuckles as she turns back around and continues her search for her pajamas.
"Are you laughing because that's what you want? You're enjoying having her flirt with you again? Is this some sick twisted joke to you?" Joe asks. It was so painfully obvious he was jealous.
"No, I'm laughing because your stupid little relationship rules and paranoia are finally biting you in the ass. It's either, I tell her we're dating & risk her telling people or even selling it to a tabloid cause I know that's your number one fear or I keep pretending we are only friends, you suck up the flirting until she leaves. Those are you two options." Val shrugs.
"How about you cut her off, tell her to stay away that you can't handle being friends with her." Joe says and Val rolls her eyes.
"I already forgave her about what happened, I'm not gonna make something up and switch up on her for no reason. I'm done with the lying to accommodate you, I'm tired Joe, I can't keep doing this to myself, this isn't healthy." Val sighs.
"I told you I just needed a bit more time Val..." Joe runs his his fingers through his hair clearly stressed.
"I... can't see myself being with you any longer if this is what's going to continue to happen Joe. You're playing games with me and I'm not doing this again." Val tears up.
"You're talking nonsense Val, all because some girl you hooked up with in college is in your life again. You need to let that go." Joe scoffs shaking his head.
"This isn't about Summer, Joe! I'm not going to sit here waiting any longer for you. Either you figure out if you really want this relationship, if you really want me and you allow me to be a normal partner to you or we should simply just both move on because at this rate... it's just disrespectful, it seems like you're embarrassed of me or something or I'm just some placeholder until you find someone else." Val says, which at this point she was crying.
"So, you're giving me an ultimatum?" Joe looks at Val with anger plastered on his face.
"I'm not going to be keep paying for something that happened to you and your past relationship Joe, people already talk about us and rumors are out there-- about us being together regardless on how hard we try to make it seem we're just friends and nothing more. Even Kade and Summer brought up today that we seemed into each other. It's either stop caring and continuing our relationship, not letting people have such a weight on us, or we break it off." Val sniffles as she wipes her tears.
"I'm going give you sometime to cool off, you're not thinking clearly." Joe shakes his head.
"You do whatever you want, I already made up my mind." Val shakes her head heading back into the bathroom to change. As soon as that door closed the tears flowed out like a river and her heart felt like it was being ripped out of her chest.
*************************************************
"So... it might be over just like that?" Vals friend Mateo asks as they sit in her Condo talking with all her friends over some drinks and food.
"I guess so. It's been 8 days and we haven't even sent a text to each other. He also had his event for his foundation, didn't invite me or even texted me to tell me if they met their goal or not. It's like I don't exist." Val informs them as she sips her mojito Karina had made for her with her bartending skills she learned in college.
"He's being ridiculous, maybe it's better if you two just moved on." Karina shakes her head.
"I feel stupid for wasting my time like this. I committed to him like an idiot, he could of been with other women this whole time and that's why he didn't claim me." Val sighs.
"You shouldn't say that! Like yeah it sucked that he would rather break up than to just let people know you guys are together but you guys still had your fun and I genuinely think he loves you, he's just a man who is stupid. Some relationships aren't meant to be forever." Genesis says trying to make her best friend feel better.
"Hey easy with the he just a stupid man...I mean he is but nicer language please." Mateo says being the only guy here. Making everyone laugh, he gets boo'd and he rolls his eyes at the girls.
"That being said...why don't we plan a night out? It's been such a long time since we've gone out to a club...a gay club specifically." Karina smirks and Val groans not wanting to go out anytime soon.
"I am soooo down." Genesis agrees with a big smile planted on her face.
"I'll go...but only for Val. You know how much I get hit on in those clubs." Mateo says before it gets silent and everyone busts out laughing.
"Mat, you got hit on ONCE by the drunkest man in the club that night, be serious." Genesis laughs making Mateo roll his eyes.
"You know I don't go out like that anymore." Val scrunches her faces not really feeling the idea.
"Which is all the reason for us to go out! Let's do Saturday, that way we can recover on Sunday by ordering brunch and watching Twilight." Genesis says.
"You sure you're not gay? Cause that was the gayest thing you've ever said." Karina teases Genesis making everyone laugh. Genesis flicking her off.
"So this Saturday, we're going out, rocking out with our tits and dicks out." Genesis claps making Val sigh. She knew she wasn't going to get out of going to this.
"Get you sluttiest outfit out girly." Karina smiles at Val with a wink.
*************************************
"I feel so over exposed, I shouldn't have worn this." Val shakes her head as she walks with everyone. Val was dressed in a shimmery short pink dress and strappy heels which she had been second guessing the entire night.
"No way! You look hot as shit, this dress was made for you. You look like Bratz and Barbie fucked and had you as their love child." Genesis reassures as everyone stood in line at the club. The week had past by and Val still hadn't heard a word from Joe. It seemed he wasn't even in Ohio but instead in Miami for a UFC fight with his teammates and friends which Val only knew because a few of them posted pictures of them all at south beach. Val hated the feeling that gave her, the sick feeling that he could be potentially hooking up with the most gorgeous models out there. She couldn't help but feel like this is maybe what he wanted. Maybe Joe was too much of a coward to call things off himself so he knew Val could only take so much about their secret relationship and was happy she basically called it off first.
"Helllloo earth to Valeria Rios!" Karina snaps Valeria out of her thoughts.
"Huh? Sorry." She awkwardly chuckles.
"Stop thinking about him and get your ID out cause we're about to shake some ass in there." Genesis says smacking Vals buttcheck making everyone woop, even people who were in line behind the group.
Everyone gets checked by security and makes their way into the loud and packed club. A mix of Slut Pop by Kim Petras blared though the club and you all went directly to the bar. Ordering a round of Jager shots and your usual drinks along with it.
"Seems busier than usual in here." Mateo says to Val over the loud music and Val nods in agreement. Everyone gets all their shots first and Karina does a toast.
"Here is too Women, Lesbianism and Mateo potentially kissing a man tonight again if we get him drunk enoughhhh!!!" Karina hollers as they clink shot glasses.
"Fuck off." Mateo laughs before they all throw back the shot. We grab our drinks, leaving our tabs open and head to the dance floor. They all dance with each other close to everyone else in the club, Genesis and Kelly taking pictures of all of them and posting them on their story. It got eventually go to a point in the night where everyone had lost track of the amount of drinks they were consuming and had moved to an area to sit around at.
"Oh shit...look who's coming!" Mateo slurs in Vals ear and she turns to see none other  than Summer walking over to her in the dress she had sold her and some insane black stiletto heels and looking like a perfect doll. Val didn't even try to not check her out, it was clear the liquor was really starting to hit her.
"Hey you...didn't expect to run into you here tonight." Summer smirks hugging Val and waving to the rest of the group who were all surprised to see her here.
"The gang dragged me out tonight, I see you're wearing the dress you picked out at the store." Val smirks at Summer.
"Sure am, but look at you. You look like a million bucks, how you're still single is crazy to me." Summer flirts.
"Someone has caught my eye, so let's see." Val says giving her a sly smile, Summer smirking back before taking a sip of her drink.
"Are you here alone?" Val asks her.
"I was actually here with a coworker buuut he found himself a toy for the night, so now I'm solo." She nods making Val chuckle.
"You can hang with us. The more the merrier. " Val smiles.
"Cool! I'll get us another round, Vodka Soda?" She asks looking at Vals almost finished drink and she nods before Summer makes her way to the nearest bar.
"Aw shiiiit!!" Karina grins at Val.
"This night just got sooo interesting." Genesis says loudly over the music.
Val rolls her eyes at her friends and finishes her drink leaving it at the coffee table in the section of the club they were now in. Summer soon enough comes back with drinks for her and Val. Val thanking her as she takes a generous sip of the vodka soda which hit her differently than the other ones she was drinking tonight but she wasn't complaining. She was sure Summer got her a double which she always did in college when they had a night out. Everyone keeps dancing and having a good time then suddenly I'm a Slave 4 U by Britney Spears started playing and Summer immediately made eye contact with Val and gently pushed her on the leather couch to which she then started dancing for Val. Summer clearly not caring about those around her as she moved her hips to the seductive beat of the song. Val also being to inebriated to see anything wrong with this right now, she sat enjoying her old college flame being a complete flirt and basically giving her a lap dance in a club filled with people, eyeing every movement made by Summer and admiring her body getting hypnotized. Being in this trance, she hadn't realized some of her friends recording this moment to post on their stories for fun which would probably bite Valeria in the ass later. Both of them completely oblivious of that, Summer kept moving her body to the music finishing up with her straddling Val with a giant seductive smirk on her face. Summer then grabs Valeria's hands and put them on her hips to hold her in place, popping the cherry from her fruity little drink, in her mouth. Summer then leans in letting her long hair cascade over both her and Valeria's faces, lips softly connecting and Val taking half a bite of the cherry she held in between her teeth. Both of them smirking at each other with eyes full of lust as they pulled bac from one another as they chewed on the sweet fruit and Summer sat on Valeria's lap.
can do where the reader doesn't say "I love you" back to Alexia
Oh Baby (Alexia Putellas x Reader)
Tumblr media
I've already seen someone else do this prompt but I thought I would try to do it in a different context, maybe with a little fluff. Sorry if it's short I wrote it pretty quickly, but let me know if you want to see more!
-------
Alexia just finished practice and walked back into the changing room, grabbing her things before heading to her car.
"Wow, where is La Reina off to in such a rush?" Mapi asked teasingly as she and Leila ran into her on her way out.
"Not in a rush, but it is my anniversary tonight, so I'm going home to my wife."
"Okay, Ale I see you. Go get some then," Leila replied, giggling with Mapi.
Today is you and Alexia's wedding anniversary and you told her earlier that you have a surprise for her tonight. So it's easy to say she is very excited to get home. The two of you got married a little over a year ago, and she is the love of your life, your soulmate even. Both of you are footballers at Barcelona, however, your season was cut short through injury. She knows these last few months have been really hard on you with your ankle injury and also trying to get pregnant but with no luck yet. As difficult as it's been you know you'll get through it together, like always.
--------------
As soon as you hear Alexia pull into the garage you make sure the tests are on the table, the box, and everything is ready to go before rushing over to the door.
"Hola mi amor", She greets you at the door giving you a quick hug and a peck on the lips.
"Hi, I need you to close your eyes and not look at anything," You say, causing her to look confused. "Just do it, trust me", You sigh chuckling.
Once her eyes are closed, you lead her towards the living room and onto the couch while moving the tests to wear she couldn't see them right away if she opened her eyes.
"Keep them closed, I'm serious. I'm trusting you so don't be an asshole", You say moving to the kitchen to grab a pair of scissors for her to open the wrapped box.
"Are you getting naked or something? I mean don't get me wrong I'm not opposed to that- I would really like that actually. Never mind, it's just you're moving around A LOT", Ale questions causing you to chuckle.
"No, I'm not naked. Here, you can open your eyes but don't look around too much just focus on what I just gave you", you told her handing her the wrapped box.
She looks at you, then the box, and then back at you.
"It's a box?", She asks, clearly confused.
"You have to open it, idiot. Have you never seen a wrapped gift before, it's like that", You say chuckling before slowly handing her the scissors.
She opens the box, pulling out the onesie you had bought from the store earlier today. She looks confused for a second before it dawns on her. She drops the box on the ground, standing suddenly.
"What? No way. Are you serious?", She asks almost in a whisper, looking down at the onesie still clutched in her hands.
She looks up at you with tears in her eyes as you're crying and you nod. She quickly comes over  wrapping you in the tightest hug. You bury your head in the crook of her neck as she holds you with the both of you now crying. She pulls away before locking her lips on yours very slowly yet passionately. You rest your foreheads against each other, looking into each others eyes as she cups your face wiping your tears though hers are still falling down her own cheeks.
"We're having a baby. We're gonna be mamas", She whispers cracking a smile before pecking your lips once more. You nod smiling yourself before pulling her toward the couch with you resting your bodies against each other.
She wraps her arms around you from behind resting them on your stomach. "That's our baby girl or boy right in there", She says resting her chin on your shoulder as she rubs her hands softly over where your soon to be existent baby bump will be. You smile running your hands over hers and interlocking your fingers over your stomach.
"I definitely believe you, but can I see the test? This is just so surreal", She says after a little bit of silence causing you to laugh.
"Yeah let me go grab them. I moved them in the kitchen cause I didn't want you to see them before the surprise", You replied getting up and walking toward the kitchen.
You walked back into the living room and handed her two tests, one that read 'Pregnant' and another with two lines.
"How many did you take?", She asked.
"Just those two. The doctor had said it probably wouldn't show up on a test for at least another few days but I felt different when I woke up to make us breakfast, so I decided to take one after you left. That first one came back positive and I couldn't believe it, I was a little shocked so I took another one. Then that one came back positive as well so I decided I get a few things and surprise you, consider it as one of your anniversary gifts. And before you ask I didn't tell you I was gonna take one before you left cause I didn't want to get your hopes up or throw you off for training", You explained while going to sit next to her resting your head on her shoulder.
"Wow", She said covering her face in her hands, wiping her tears. "This is so crazy. We're gonna be responsible for a living child", She looked down at you as you smiled and nodded.
"I love you so so much", She said kissing you passionately. You unexpectedly deepened the kiss, only to lightly bite her bottom lip when pulling away causing a slight moan to leave her lips.
"We have a reservation for dinner tonight in an hour. You better be ready to leave in 30," You smirked turning to go up the stairs, leaving her flustered on the couch.
"Yeah whatever, say it back!" She screamed after you as you left making you chuckle. Not getting the response she wanted, she ran after you. Catching up to you at the door of your bedroom, she grabbed you from behind, and threw you on the bed producing a playful scream and some giggles from you now laying under her.
"Say it back," She pushed further with her face inches from yours.
"I love you too. More than anything else in this world mi esposa," You smiled.
"That's what I thought," She pecked your lips, smirking as she left you on the bed walking into your closet to get ready for the rest of the night ahead.
The Signature Leo
Tumblr media
PAIRING - Changbin x GN!Reader (ft. Jisung, Chan, Felix)
SYNOPSIS - A late-night trip to the corner store turns chaotic when you're with the besties.
WORDCOUNT - 4.5k
WARNINGS - Fluff, platonic, non-idol!AU, established friend group, slice-of-life, dialogue-heavy, friends that call each other names (i.e: idiot, dumbass, bitch, etc.) in an affectionate way, Changbin is a little shit, this friend group is unhinged
A/N - It's that time of year again, happy Changbin day! Perhaps this is a self-indulgent piece that I meant to write a while ago, perhaps thanks to a dream I had... perhaps? The timing was perfect so I sat down and finally wrote it. Happy birthday to our favorite leo! c:
Tumblr media
The neon 'OPEN' sign hangs from the convenience store window, cascading shades of red and blue onto the blacktop outside. You had tuned out the raucous from the group of boys that walked out of the door behind you, a hint of a smirk on your lips.
"-so he threw it into the pool as if that would magically fix everything!"
"Hey, it worked didn't it." Felix says, ascending the steps to the store. Jisung's eyebrows shoot up at the nonchalance as he recalls the story from a few days prior, bracing himself on the younger boy's shoulders.
"Dude, that sweater was on fire!" He counters. "Literally up in flames! Scorched! Incinerated!"
"Here we go-" Chan mutters next to you.
"I think you're overselling it here." Felix replies, adjusting the backpack slung over his shoulder. Cold cans of just-bought energy drinks slosh around with the jostling.
"You're just saying that because it's Balenciaga."
"It's my favorite Balenciaga sweater!"
"It's your only Balenciaga sweater." Changbin says, chuckling to himself. You and Chan shoot each other a look as the group stops at the signal and you look both ways before crossing.
The time on your phone glints back in blue and white pixels; 12:51 AM. Even on a Summer weeknight, the streets are pretty bare, with a few cars passing by every few minutes or so. The local pizza joint on the corner is still lit up as the owner counts out the money in the register, probably the last thing on his to-do list before he goes home for the night. Your stomach rumbles at the thought of a warm slice of pizza, even as the snacks you'd just bought swing in the bag you're holding, hitting your knee as you come to a stop.
Changbin notices you stop, and he glances at the neon sign that's still glowing in the window. Must've forgotten to turn it off. He taps your shoulder, a knowing look on his face. You roll your eyes, but nod. A smirk curls at the corner of his lips and you watch on as he walks up to the door. He taps the glass a few times, getting the owner's attention. The elder man shoots him a smile, even after a full day's work in the sweltering kitchen of his establishment.
Changbin had that air about him; a quiet guy that somehow exuded this extroverted vibe. Everyone wanted to know him and he'd made many good friends in the years since his family moved here. Anyone who knows him knows he's a good man and an honorable friend. The Signature Leo.
Your ears perk as the sweater conversation goes on. The other three continue on their way down the street, so invested in the debate to realize two-fifths of the group have strayed behind.
"Well it's a little destroyed, but isn't that trendy now? Y'know the distressed look." You hear Felix say. His brows probably furrow at the guys next to him.
"Distressed or destroyed?" Jisung teases, ruffling through the younger's bleached locks. Chan snorts out a laugh beside them as sneakers and combat boots thump over stone and asphalt.
"Eh, same difference."
You hadn't heard the bell over the door jingle, nevermind noticed the interaction beside you until Changbin brushes a broad shoulder with yours. One luke-warm cheese and pepperoni pizza sits in the cardboard box he holds, the aroma wafting to your senses with the help of the summer breeze. He tilts his head toward the group and you smile as you skip ahead of him, catching up to the others.
"This coming from a man with at least forty pairs of ripped jeans!" You say, shooting Chan an incriminating look. The eldest looks over his shoulder, brows set in that familiar squiggle on his forehead. You know what's coming. You smirk.
"Mine came that way." He says, although you don't get a chance for a rebuttal because Felix is wrapping an arm around your neck, thank you's falling from his lips in a mantra as he pulls you in to plant a fat kiss on your cheek. You screw your eyes shut at the contact, shoving him away as you wipe at the spot of saliva that's left behind with your hoodie sleeve.
"Ew, cooties!" You whine, though it's obvious that you're joking. "I can't even constitute that as a kiss, I swear you just licked my cheek."
"Friends that hang together share their saliva."
A chorus of 'nope's and even an 'oh, hell no' echoes through the breeze, and somewhere down the street, a dog barks at the youth's commotion. The mix of Felix and Jisung's laughter only eggs on the unknown canine as the group continues down the side of the street.
"You've obviously been spending too much time with Jisung." You say, flicking the two in the forehead.
"What the fuck is that supposed to mean?!" Jisung asks, voice going up a few octaves.
"Yeah!" adds Felix, which only earns him another flick on the forehead by his silver-haired best friend.
"All your Instagram posts have been nothing but snuggling with Bbama, Lix."
Felix scoffs, waving a hand at your accusation. You raise a brow, beginning to pull your cell from your hoodie pocket.
"Bitch, I know you aren't about to pull receipts on me right now."
"Try me, Yongbok."
Jisung is the first to break, covering his mouth in an attempt to not wake the entire neighbourhood with his howling laughter. Chan just grins at the scene in front of him, nothing but genuine love in his eyes for his friends. And Changbin watches from the back of the group, snacking on a slice of the pizza he's been carrying.
Felix visibly deflates, shoulders slumping as he admits defeat.
"You know it's true, bitch!" You tease, shoving your phone back into the pocket. "With all the time you spend at Ji's place, I'd think you were his maid or something."
Now you've got the whole group in hysterics.
"Oh my god," Jisung cries, shoulders jerking violently as he wipes a tear from his eye, "now that's an idea! Bro, twelve bucks and you've got the job!"
"AN HOUR?! That's not even minimum wage!"
"Fine, fine, twenty. Twenty-five if you wear the little outfit."
"Deal."
You all continue down the street, laughter and banter bouncing between your friends like rubber bands in a pinball machine. As the jokes and jabs continue, a thought surfaces in your mind. A question, really, but the more you consider it, the more enticing of a proposition it seems. You don't want the night to end just yet.
"Hey, guys, we're just on our way home, right? Why not keep walking?"
Jisung tilts his head, brows furrowed.
"I'm already over walking." He groans, shoulders slumping as he kicks at the pebbles on the side of the street. "Carry me?"
"Fuck that, ask your new maid!" You glance at Felix who shoots daggers your way.
"I'm carrying all our munchies in here," He says, gesturing to the backpack on his shoulder, "I am not carrying you, dude."
"There's a park just down the street if you guys wanna stop and chill for a bit." Chan says with a grin. "The night is still young."
You spare a glance at the sky, not true black thanks to all the light pollution in your town and neighbouring city. The stars you can see sparkle like faint diamonds, and you smile with the knowledge that you have hours yet to pass before even a hint of twilight creeps on the horizon. Affirmatives sound throughout the group as the road bends and everyone falls into a comfortable silence. It's peaceful in your little map dot of the world, the soft sounds of an idle town flowing with the breeze.
At some point, your eyes catch Changbin at the front of the group, eyes darting to the pizza box in his grip as your stomach growls again. Your hips shift, picking up the pace as you follow in tandem with the buff shadow.
"Anyways, Felix, your burnt sweater is not trendy, and please don't attempt to make it one." You speak up, grinning as Changbin offers you a slice from the open box.
"Agreed." Chan calls over the car that passes. He ignores the look his friend gives him, the rushing creek below the bridge the group walks on gives a perfect excuse for a photo-op. Even in the dark of night.
"What was that even out of your wardrobe for anyways? It's Summer!" You add, swallowing the bite of pizza you'd been chewing.
"Shut the fuck up, you're literally wearing a hoodie right now!"
"It's cold, you idiot! There's a breeze!"
"It's twenty-nine degrees! Are you mad?!"
"Why am I the only one being attacked when Chan is also wearing a hoodie right now!"
Your eyes shift to find the eldest of the group, and soon, everyone is glancing at the poor guy. Chan's ears perk at the mention of his name, slowly snapping photos of the glistening creek water.
"Woah, don't bring me into this." He says, shaking his head as a broad grin spreads over his face.
"What about Changbin!" Felix gestures with a lazy swing of the arm. You glance ahead of you, and sure enough, Changbin is wearing a hoodie... in a way. His hoodie sleeves hang over his shoulders, tied at the ends to keep the fabric from slipping off his back as he walks on towards the park.
"Dude, stop trying to change the subject!" You yell at Felix, who only looks back at you in disbelief. You swear his aura is visibly vibrating at your audacity.
"I'm trying to defend myself, since no one else is going to. All of you are wearing thick fucking hoodies in like thirty degree weather! At least my sweater is light and airy."
"And burnt..." You mumble.
Jisung snickers and nods in agreement. You're pretty sure Chan is selectively listening - too busy taking pictures of what nature he's able to capture in the low lighting. Changbin is just taking everything in, amused with the turn of events as he takes the last bite of his pizza. He's all good as far as he's concerned, a snack and entertainment on this fine Summer evening.
"Changbin!" You call out to him with a laugh, and he hears your feet thumping against the street as you get closer. Anticipating the impending onslaught, he grips the pizza box firmly just seconds before you collide with his back. He grunts with the force of your body launching into his, but he's more than able to accommodate you as your legs lock around his waist. He smirks at the feeling of your arms around his neck, but doesn't bother looking back at you in his attempt at stoicism.
"Where the hell are you goin', Birthday Boy? We've gotta bully you next. That's the way it works!"
"And what have I done to deserve to be bullied by my best friends?" He asks, eyes shifting over his shoulder in curiosity. He jostles you as he walks on, but even as you feel yourself sliding off his back, his free arm slips under one of your legs to better secure you.
"Recently? Going to Thailand without us... especially me!" You whisper the last part, hoisting yourself up again with a devious grin. Changbin rolls his eyes.
"Y'know, sometimes I think this friendship has become a little too codependent. You can't survive without me for a week?" He asks.
"Not to boost your ego or anything, but your shining presence is always a requirement in this relationship." You trail, resting your chin on his shoulder. "Plus it's nice to have a bodyguard."
A scoff jostles you again as he crosses the street. The park's sign is lit up by a single spotlight, the bulb at the end of it's life as it flickers every few seconds.
"Chan is a good bodyguard. Or Felix."
You hum.
"Yeah, but you've got that intimidation factor. Chan's only intimidating when he's angry. And Felix? He's about as intimidating as a chihuahua."
"You say as you use me like a jungle gym." Dark eyes shine with the help of illuminating lamp posts, and you bite your lip to stop the splitting smile that threatens to take over your face. You shrug.
"You're not as intimidating now that I know you."
He nods, looking forward again as the kids playground comes into view. The park's main nature trail sits a ways away, picnic tables set up beside the entrance. Changbin bee-lines for them and the boys follow behind.
"So, still intimidating."
"I've been on the receiving end of your bear hugs! These arms are concealed weapons." You reply.
Changbin chuckles at that, broad chest vibrating under your palms. You let go of him once he comes to a halt at one of the benches, maneuvering himself to allow you to sit yourself on the aged wood. When he turns to face you, you can see the look of satisfaction on his face under his mask of stoicism; a sense of pride from the secrets you'd just told him. You wonder if he'll tease you about it more or if he'll be humble about it.
The pizza box is tossed onto the wood table top beside you, and when he leans forward, you know the answer to your question.
"Do I get to tease you now, then?" He asks with a tilt of his head.
"For what, exactly?" You scoff, narrowing your eyes at him. His hands brace against the table on either side of your shoulders, hips shifting to accommodate the weight on his right foot.
"I tolerate being your personal jungle gym, your bodyguard. I let you bully me on my birthday," He traps you in with bulky arms and an accusatory gaze. "Don't you think it's time for some payback?"
Your tongue prods at the inside of your cheek, face twisting in a theatrical mockery of disbelief.
"I mean, I do it with love so-"
"You seem nervous." Your name rolls of his tongue in a soft wave, but you don't miss the flex of his arms as he looks down at you. Or the accusatory chuckle that leaves your spine rattling.
"Nervous? About what?" You ask. Changbin's brow furrows as he studies you intently, gaze shifting over every part of your face. Even in such close proximity, you keep your cool, licking your lips and tilting your head in a manner that screams try me. And who is he to back down from a friendly little challenge?
Changbin leans closer and closer until his nose is borderline ghosting over your own. You can hear Jisung snickering somewhere near the playground, and your eyes crinkle instinctively at such a butterfly-inducing sound.
"Woah, you lovebirds need a minute?" Comes Felix's voice, shoving his backpack off as he makes himself comfortable beside you.
No one's surprised by this turn of events. Not when it happens so often, this power struggle that often leads to poking and prodding and sibling antics. That's your group dynamic. But you feel yourself folding with the added attention, and Changbin can see it, too. Your throat tightens as you swallow, biting the inside of your lip. He flashes a cocky grin and shifts again, his voice a quiet rumble as he whispers in your ear.
"Still intimidating."
Your hand comes up quickly, but not quick enough as Changbin catches your wrist with an iron grip. It's not enough to hurt you, but firm enough to keep you there until you say so. He chuckles as he leans back and you shift your weight forward in an attempt to flick yet another victim on the forehead, to no avail. You yelp as you fall forward, your cheek colliding with black cotton and sturdy muscle. Strong arms circle your shoulders and squeeze. This time, you're the victim of Seo Changbin's mighty bear hugs.
"Don't give up like that, what the fuck!" You huff, trying to pull an arm free.
"Ah, don't complain, you love my hugs." He coos.
"Let go of me before I melt into a puddle!"
Felix snorts next to you, cracking open an energy drink with nimble fingers.
"Oh, now the hoodie's too much."
"Shut up, Burnt Sweater!"
"The best time to wear a burnt sweater, is in a fire!" Jisung sing-songs, arm reeling back to smack Changbin's ass on his way to his seat. Those arms leave you, trading hugs for brotherly headlocks as he chases after the younger boy. Chan takes his seat beside you, watching on like a concerned parent.
"I'm surprised Jisung hasn't gotten the cops called on us yet." You mutter, pulling your munchies from your bag as frantic screeching is muffled by t-shirt fabric.
"Eh, he sounds less like a person and more like a dying animal." Chan jokes.
"Well-"
"I fucking heard that!"
You and Chan share a side-eye, hint of a grin on both of your lips. You feel that familiar fuzziness in your chest as you watch the two boys come back to the picnic table, Jisung pulled along in the crook of Changbin's beefy arm. He releases him before sitting down with a smug grin plastered on his face.
"Damn, man. Those things are dangerous." Jisung mutters, rubbing at his neck in soothing motions.
"Changbin's arms can crush or cradle you with equal ferocity." Chan says it as if it's a statement.
"That the fun fact for the evening?" You quirk a brow, popping a brownie bite into your mouth. "Because you're not wrong. He's just always held back on me."
"It's 'cause he knows you'd never survive his wrath." Chan whispers and shoots you a wink, his eyes flicking across the table to Changbin. There's an amused twitch on Changbin's lips that you almost miss when he shifts his body. He slides the leftover pizza across the table, a non-verbal invitation for everybody to dig in.
Cue two dimwits asking where the pizza came from, too busy earlier with their unhinged argument to notice. Jisung sits himself down beside Felix, who has already finished half of his energy drink, head resting against the blonde's shoulder. His body visibly slouches against the younger's, a huff leaving him when Felix pats his head with a laugh. Even so, Jisung conforms to the attention like a lazy feline. He offers Jisung the rest of the can, which he takes, downing it in one go.
The raucous dies down as everyone picks away at their pizza and snacks, audio from social feeds interrupting the chorus of katydids in the surrounding trees. The frogs in the nearby pond pause their conversations when the banter gets a little too loud, lone splashes rippling in the water. It's the song that signals the inevitable end of Summer, and your heart beats against your ribs like a trapped moth. You feel Chan lean into your side as he posts his photos from tonight to his Instagram, brushing his arm with yours.
A sense of comfort washes over you; all is as it should be in this moment.
The crinkling of a wrapper hits your ears as you scroll your phone and you glance up, the laminated aluminum flashing in the park's street light before it's hidden under the table. You blink, gaze shifting from the blue-light of your phone to across the table. Changbin's already locked on you. Casual as ever.
"Did you seriously just..." You trail off, slipping your device back in your pocket. Changbin stays silent, arms folded over his chest as he leans against the table. Everyone has stopped what they were doing, glancing back and forth between you two, confusion etching their faces.
"What?" Jisung asks. Chan nods in your peripheral.
"Yeah, what'd he do?"
"This bitch stole my food!" You slip off the bench, pointing at the quote-unquote thief as you round the picnic table. "I asked you if you wanted anything when we were at the convenience store and you said no, you little shit!"
"I didn't."
Felix snorts, cracking open the second energy drink as he asks, "Didn't steal their food or didn't want anything?"
"Didn't want anything." He says, standing just as you reach for him, raising an eyebrow at you. "Sharing is caring."
"I don't remember hearing you say please."
"I definitely did."
You dart for the crumpled wrapper in his hand, but Changbin is quicker, lifting it out of your reach. Felix watches with wide-eyes while Chan and Jisung try to suppress their laughter.
"Fucking Leos... just cause it's your birthday doesn't mean I won't beat your ass!"
"I'd love to see you try to beat my ass."
You almost want to punch him in the chest to wipe that devilish grin off his face.
"You'd like that, wouldn't you?" You snicker loudly, following him as he turns away toward the playground.
"I'm gonna go chill over here."
"Don't run away!"
You can hear Jisung burst into a fit of giggles behind you as he leans back, almost pulling Felix off the bench. Felix slaps him in retaliation, grinning as he watches the two of you bicker like siblings. Their amusement only fuels your confidence as you trail the man that's built like a concrete wall.
"Is this how birthdays are celebrated in your family?" He quips, side-eyeing you as you square up to him.
"Only when you steal my brownie bites." You grin. "Why, you scared?"
"Trembling in my boots." He mutters, not flinching once when you throw a few fake punches his way.
"You should be, I'm like a wild animal!"
"So if you attack, I'd have to put you down."
"I'd like to see you try-" You start, turning your back to him on your way to the slide. Unfortunately you don't make it far, grizzly arms circling your torso and pulling you back into his chest with a practiced ease. Changbin laughs at the protests that fall from your lips, his grip on you firm as you try your darndest to shimmy out of his arms. That only makes him latch on tighter, picking you up off the ground as he walks.
"Put me down!" You demand, although he can't take you seriously when you're in a fit of giggles. The northwest breeze kicks up the scent of pine mulch from the playground a ways away, winds rustling the leaves of the trees above you as Changbin spins you around. All it takes is one of your legs to trip him up and you're both falling to the ground, with Changbin taking the brunt of it. The dew on the grass seeps into the fabric of your hoodie when you roll off of him, your legs draped over his, but you couldn't care less. You were genuinely enjoying yourself.
"Still intimidating." You mutter, tilting your head to look up at him.
You laugh as Changbin rolls his eyes, an exasperated sigh leaving his lungs. He's smiling, but it's soft - not the cocky grin or teasing smirk that he usually gives you - but a fond look. The kind of look you'd give a friend you treasure dearly. You swear there's a faint blush creeping up his neck, even reaching for his ears.
Your heart beats in a steady rhythm as Changbin's gaze wanders over your face, lingering for moments at a time to memorize every feature - the dip in your forehead when you frown, the sparkle that always peeks at the corners of your eyes, the way your lower lip curls inwards when you smile, the little scrunch of your nose that accompanies that.
He's always been so observant, so aware of every little detail. Always seems to be experiencing life as it should be experienced; here and now. Present with the group of friends that insisted they do something for his birthday, even if something was whatever the hell this was. He settles into the moment, one arm propping his head up towards the cloudless sky.
"Alright, alright, break it up kids."
Footsteps rustle through the blades of grass, Jisung's face the first you see as he stops at your feet. You grunt at the added weight as he free falls into the little space that's between the two of you. There's protests and retorts thrown around as he attempts to get comfortable, limbs shifting until his legs are propped over your thighs and his torso is splayed over Changbin's. The flash from Chan's phone blinds you, commemorating the moment in the form of pixels.
"Sorry, sorry," He chuckles, dimples making their appearance. "Scoot over."
"Scoot over where- what are you-?"
To say you're a bit toasty from all this added body heat would be an understatement, but it's difficult to do anything but sigh and chuckle when Chan settles down beside you. He braces himself on one arm, angling his phone at just the right height to fit everyone in the frame just as Felix joins, dropping his and your bags in a heap somewhere close by. You hear that familiar shutter sound as Chan snaps a few random pictures of the friend pile.
"God, it was... so quiet before y'all decided to join us." You say, stifling a smile.
"Oh shut up, you love us." Felix is already halfway through his second energy drink, and as he leans his head back to glance at the few stars above, he offers you the third can beside him. You smirk at his comment and take the can of caffeine, cracking it open and taking a long swig, the carbonation tickling your nose.
You've already forgotten how you ended up on the ground in some random park in the middle of the night with your best friends. Frankly, you realize, it doesn't fucking matter. It doesn't matter when the weight of responsibilities and expectations of reality feel like they're worlds away. This is all the familiarity you crave, and it seeps into your bones as you all take in the sky above. You can't remember the last time you felt this relaxed and content. From the looks of it, you can bet good money that your companions are feeling something similar. Your heart leaps into your throat at the thought. Warmth wraps around you like a blanket and you aren't sure whether that's from the close proximity or...
Oh.
These are your people.
"We should make a group chat called 'Saliva Friends'." Jisung mumbles as he scoots his back upright against Changbin's side.
These are your fucking people.
"Why make another when we can just..." Felix trails off, pulling out his phone and tapping away before multiple phones buzz, a few ringtones chiming through the evening air. Everyone pulls their phones out, and your eyes narrow at the notification on your screen.
Lix has changed the group chat name: Saliva Friends💦
You snort, tapping the info and deleting the chat name before re-typing your own.
You have changed the group chat name: These Bitches
"Wow, that's rude." Jisung says, and before you can respond, your phone buzzes again.
Ji has changed the group chat name: These Bitches🔥😩💅🏻
"What are you trying to say, Ji?" You tease, staring off into the sky, phone left laying on your chest.
"What do you mean me? We're all cool, frustrating, and a little spicy."
"You're as cool as a cup of steaming coffee."
Phones go off once more and everyone glances at theirs as Changbin puts his away.
Gymrat has changed the group chat: Saliva Sharers
"I'm gonna block all of you, oh my god." You say, although you're looking directly at Changbin when you speak.
"Damn, you're willing to lose your bodyguard privileges just like that?"
Yeah...
Yeah, you fucking love these idiots.
Nihilus Rex Ch. 10: First Move
This chapter took 2 weeks to write. One to hash out what all our intrepid villains would need to do to pull this off, and one to actually write the chapter and make sure all bases are covered.
I and @baelpenrose have taken very few liberties with what this trio is doing, but I want to double-down on his note from the previous chapter: trying this would not only be extremely illegal, but in 2024 it wouldn't even remotely work. Especially not the lien release part: most of those records are digital now, and each bank has maybe four people total with the level of access required to release them. Maybe four.
Cause I am, I am
A little wicked
I am, I am
Hands red, hands red
Just like you said
I am, a little wicked
Valerie Broussard, “A Little Wicked”
After two detours - one to find another thermos, the other to fill both - we managed to make our way to a mall so old and worn-looking that even Spirit Halloween would give it a pass. Nils led us around to a side entrance before holding the door open with a sweeping gesture.  I rolled my eyes good naturedly, Bishop groaning behind me as we shouldered past.  Pausing to rub the dust from an old map with one sleeve, I found what I was looking for and glanced up. “Please tell me the stairs are in good shape?  Best Buy is all the way on the fourth floor.”
“They are, and it is, but we won’t need either.”  I suppressed a shiver as he reached past me to tap a location on our same level. “Sears.  The television section is down here, and the cable connections are still intact.”
“And we didn’t enter on that side because…?” Bishop asked, seeing how far away it looked on the map.
“Internet is up, power doors are not,” came the dry answer. “And this door was the only one I could get my hands on a key for.”
“How did you - “ I started.
“You don’t want to know, Baklava. Plausible deniability - if anyone gets busted, Nothing did the breaking and entering, we weren’t aware he wasn’t lawfully here.” Hiking his bag further up on his shoulder, Bishop grunted. “Let’s go.”
Walking through the mall gave the eerie impression of being a zombie movie - rustling could be heard constantly, along with voices coming from beyond some of the locked grates covering storefronts. Squatters, I realized. Better use of the space than just leaving it here to rot, I thought approvingly. At least they aren’t freezing to death outside.
“Anyway.” Nils led the way into the employee break room in the Sears, one where he’d clearly helped himself to a few of the beanbags from the small furniture store, and locked the door behind us. “Router is behind the counter. We got wifi, we have a place to sit, we have work to do. Everyone, grab a beanbag or a chair. Local squatters won’t bother us in here - there’s an arrangement. I paid for a generator, they don’t mess with my stuff, and stay out of my way when I need to do a thing.”
I made a mental note to bring food next time, provided I could figure out a way to bring it without Nils or Bishop noticing - last thing I needed was Bishop informing Nils about my stray-cat tendencies.  Grabbing a bean bag and an abandoned tray to set my computer on, I nested in and started getting everything connected.  Once I was happy with where everything was at, I dug in my bag for some snacks, pulling them out triumphantly before realizing Nils and Bishop were staring at me.
“What? You said we had work to do.”
Nils started snickering. “Not that. Just. Never known anyone who brought chili pistachios to a hack job. That’s all.” He shrugged. “Kind of cool.”
“Creampuff. You and I both know if it was anyone else - like me, or even like Shade, you’d be saying something that would end with everyone either laughing or punching your lights out.” Harvey glanced at him with exasperation.
I offered some of my snack. “Keep the nut jokes to a minimum and I’ll share.”
“Please, Lash. We are not WintermuteWeasel. We come up with classier jokes than that when there is a lady present.” Nils replied, with faux-dignity.
“In that case, I won’t offer you this,” I sighed dramatically, holding up a bag of homemade jerky. “Because god forbid you put my meat in your mouth.”
Bishop leaned past Nils. “I will gladly put your meat and your nuts in my mouth,” he managed to deadpan, making me throw my head back laughing before handing over both pistachios and jerky.
Nils blinked. “Apologies, clearly I misunderstood your sense of humor. My apologies. I’d do this casually, but you now strike me as the type who’d doubtless prefer a bit of begging for the privilege of your tasty, tasty nuts. Please…” He gave me giant puppy dog eyes and fell out of his bean bag chair, doing his best attempt at looking pathetic, not quite topping how he’d looked when bleeding in a torn suit, but much, much funnier.
I surrendered and nodded for Bishop to pass the snacks over. “And don’t worry, I didn’t cook any of these, so they taste really good. Fair warning, the lamb jerky is - “
“Hooooleee crap,” Bishop gasped around a mouthful, grabbing a bottle of water and taking a big swig. “Spicy. Very very spicy. Lots of cilantro spicy, was not prepared.”
“That,” I finished lamely. “So go slow or we’ll never get any work done.  Speaking of the Weasel… Any word?”
“Called him, he should be calling back in….” His phone started ringing. “Now. I’ll deal with him, try to keep quiet, both of you. It’s gonna be easier if you two don’t acknowledge that I’m buying for you so he doesn’t hold up the sale for something gross, you know?” He stepped off. “Wintermute, yeah. Best icebreaker. Needs to be less than 30MB. Able to tear through the absolute best encryption out there? Can you do it?”
Something on the other end.
“Need to get a worm and a data bomb through it, and be able to activate the data bomb on the other end after the worm has had time to work. No, you don’t need to know what for. You just need to know the parameters. High end, government encryption. Less than 30MB file size.” Harvey got tense, and began rolling his eyes, held the phone away from his head for a minute. He began doing ducklips - might have picked that up from me.
Eventually he put it back to his head. “Yeah, I get it’ll be expensive. No, no I will not disclose who I’m working with. Cash only payments. Yeah, I can pay that.”
He hung up. “Great. He’ll meet me in a few weeks. He bitched about it, a lot, but after a bit he said he could do it. It’ll ring three thousand. Each of you down to cover a grand?”
I squinted and did some mental math. “Yeah, I can cover that.” I’d have to bite the bullet and work on some more anime commissions, but the money was practically sitting there otherwise.  “Richie McWhiteboy, you don’t need to auction off a leather jacket or anything, do you?”
“You know what’s sad? I am so useless in so many ways, but I have the kind of academic credentials where I get paid to research for the university as a grad student as long as I keep helping professors with their research and it covers rent. All my jobs basically just cycle in paying for other jobs and expenses. And I still have money left over to give away. Yeah, I can throw a thousand - probably a little more if it’ll take strain off of you two.”
Bishop winked at me. “Ah, to have rich people problems, right?”
I threw my hands up. “I will totally take financial help in providing snacks and decent coffee. Titties only get me so far.”  Belatedly, I realized what I had said and covered my face with both hands. “ART!” I shouted. “ART!”
Nils snickered. “Most artists have drawn big tittied anime girls for money, and most academics who need it have either written Marvel fanfiction for kinks they didn’t want to know about or written someone else’s papers. Don’t think about it too hard.”
Bishop just shook his head as I peeked through my fingers and dragged over a second bean bag to prop his feet on. “Before we get completely derailed by a taco joke, let’s reel it in, children.  Our not so friendly neighborhood perv is working on the encryption breaking, do we want to do the worm or databomb first?”
Nils looked to me. “I’d prefer doing the databomb first, since a spore with extra activations is easy enough and just having it done early so all we have left is the hard part means that when we’re done with the hard part we don’t have anything left, but if anyone has any objections to that I’ll hear them?”
“The county records…?” I asked, glancing between the both of them. “You know, the physical liens? With the counties?”
It was completely the opposite of reassuring when Nils went pale and Bishop’s eyes glazed over. With a deadpan, almost contemptuously exhausted tone, Nils grunted, “Fuck. Alright, malware 4 and 5, another encryption breaker, another databomb, let’s go. And find some way of getting those released. And finding which ones we’re looking for…”
“I mean a dial-up bot that just asks after public records isn’t hard, you and I have made like a few dime a dozen ones, that’s easy. Hell, I have a DDoS botnet or two we can repurpose, just collecting dust. Start generating those to get public records on liens, they’re public record. Hard part is the lien releases, that’ll take…some courts and counties take digital copies or faxed copies of the notarized forms, I say we collect the records with that and start sending forged copies out. I mean, we’d need to pay a good forgery guy, but I know one. It takes about thirty days, but we can mill the fucking things once we get all the records and get good fake state seals made.”
“Make sure they are backdated by several months,” I suggested. “Totally Purloined Letter it, act like they’ve had it this entire time and lost their copy. They’ll be too embarrassed to object.”
“Right, add about a month to the process for that and finishing our worm and encryption breaker, county records are easily breakable, we can make our own icebreakers for that but we’re gonna need a lot of computers to launch that many attacks at once…That, plus adequate databombs.”
“Add another twenty five days after we send the fake releases, give time for as many as possible to be recorded,” Bishop added. “They’re less likely to be lumped in with the attack, that way.”
              “Okay. That, plus I have to regularly commune with my morons on their “orders” for the “joint operation” about dealing with the “evil shadow government.” Nils sighed. “Okay. We have a lot of work to do but we should be able to manage it. We can’t brag about it after, which kinda sucks because we’re rapidly approaching Inception-timed-to-music levels of bullshit, and if we pull it off any reasonable world would give us bragging rights forever, but there are way worse things.”
              “I don’t suppose any of your far right fucknuckle brother uncles are notaries?” I sighed. “We’d never be that lucky.”
              “Sadly, no. I do have a relative who is but she’d never get caught up in anything illegal for political reasons, perish the thought,” Nils’ voice took on a note of contempt. “She conveniently forgets that marrying her husband was illegal until around 60 years ago, and that the entire concept of civil disobedience is ‘breaking the law for political reasons’.”  He shrugged.
              Bishop grunted, snagging a thermos. “Pocket notaries going on Santa’s wishlist in the event we are ever good little boys and girl…. We are now at 55 day lead time, minimum. The thirty days will give us time to come up with hardware without getting too much scrutiny, and we use that time to let bots dig up the information we need on the liens and student debt.” I blinked and he waggled a finger at me. “I didn’t forget that part, don’t worry. Student debt is going to be the least painful, because zero potential damage there, Sallie Mae can just fuck right off.”
He typed for second and tilted his head. “Then we send the faked releases - I don’t know if my guy can do them in bulk, so it would be smart to have a program to mock them up as back-up.  Who can code that, because I’ll be too busy.”
I raised my hand. “Digital art en masse is my area of expertise,” I nodded confidently. “I can cobble something together from my animation stuff, no problem.”  Would I test it by using it to clear my commissions inbox? Probably, but they didn’t need to know that.  I already felt guilty enough about it.
“Okay, so I’ll handle the databombs and the basic icebreakers, Bishop will repurpose his dialup net, and Lash will get the mock-ups ready so we can mill out fake lien releases. I’ll also handle getting the gun nuts ready and primed for when we go. We’ll work together on the worm since that’ll be the hardest part.” Nils was standing, the irritated exhaustion gone, eyes suddenly alight. “We have a little less than two months, and when that’s done, we’ll be paying back the banks for the 2008 crash and all the futures they stole with student loans. And we’ll be stealing a lot of them back. Let’s get to work.”
Christmas eve with Cyno.
As the birds chirp their good mornings and the snow falls, painting the world in a beautiful blanket of white, both of you are nestled in each other’s embrace, oblivious to the change around you. The world outside is already bustling with action, preparing themselves for one of the coziest times of the year, Christmas.
It's not uncommon to find Cyno up before he needs to, but occasionally, he'll decide to sleep in. And today, the filtered light from behind the curtains does wonders to keep him asleep for longer, to keep him snuggling with you for longer.
When Cyno opens his eyes, he’s greeted by your serene expression. Even when sleeping, you still cling on to him for dear life, your legs entangled and your hands in his. He feels the heat emanating from your body, and even though you've been together for over a year, the sight of you wrapped up in his arms still makes his heart skip a beat.
Tumblr media
He’s in the kitchen when you wake up. With your fluffy blanket draped over your figure, you saunter over, snuggling into his back for extra warmth. He looks over, his long white locks cascading over his shoulders and tickling your cheek. “You left the bed, it’s cold…” You mumble, burying your face into his comfortable sweater.
He laughs, and you can feel the vibrations even through the thick sweater. “Because it’s time to wake up love, come on, let’s get you dressed.” With that, he turns around to lift you up, but that makes for a counterproductive way to urge you to start the day, for you bury yourself into his chest and made yourself comfortable.
After a while of struggling, Cyno has finally gotten you out of your pajamas and into some comfy clothes. You refused to wear your own clothes for the excuse of, “Your clothes are warmer and comfier! And it smells like you…” and who is he to deny you, so now you stand in front of him, hugging the hoodie closer, breathing in the scent with a happy smile on your face. And he can’t help but smile too, which boyfriend wouldn’t be happy to see his significant other so happy to wear his clothes?
“Wipe that silly grin off your face you little minx, it’s time to eat breakfast.” And so, you did.
Tumblr media
After a lovely breakfast of pancakes and a warm cup of cocoa, you deemed it time to bother your lovely boyfriend. “Baby, pay attention to me.” You pout, giving puppy eyes to a certain someone who’s been working away on his laptop for the last few minutes. Said someone looks over, tilting his head. ‘You don’t want to do this right now,’ his eyes tell you, a silent warning. It's a bluff, and you call his bluff, blinking innocently with a pout, you hope that’ll make him give in. And right you are, for Cyno has one weakness, one fatal flaw in his big tough façade he shows to the world, and that is you.
He releases a fond sigh before his lips quirk up just a bit, his arms outstretched, waiting for you to take your place in his embrace. And with that invitation, you tackle him into the sofa, laughter bubbling through the room. He’s definitely not getting anything done today.
Tumblr media
“Honey, this looks so cute, can we get it? Our tree looks a little empty without anything on it.” You plead, pointing to a small reindeer ornament in one of the more hidden sections of the store. Cyno walks over, taking a look at said ornament and gives a nod. “Won’t it be lonely without a friend?” he asks, a smile on his oh-so-attractive face. You gasp, your eyes sparkling, “Then let’s get him some friends!” With that said, you grab your lover’s hands and rush down the aisle, chatting his ear away with all the other things you want to hang on your Christmas tree.
And now you both stand in line, waiting to check out with a basket filled with ornaments that could probably drown your Christmas tree, but it all looks so cute! Cyno shakes his head, exasperated at the number of things you’ve successfully convinced him to buy. But your giddy little smile makes it all worth it, even if his wallet takes a hit.
Tumblr media
Walking back, you decide to take a detour through the local park. With the snow covering nearly every inch of the ground, the park has turned into a snowy playground. Families come out to play, children running around throwing snowballs in the name of snowball fights, couples walking around with their hands intertwined and lovingly calling out to their children to be careful. You look upon the scene with a longing smile, ‘Maybe one day we can have a family of our own,’ you think.
Cyno notices and leans the slightest bit downwards to give you an affectionate kiss on the top of your head, “That’ll be us in the future.” And you glance at him, your face practically glowing in delight. You tiptoe to peck him on the cheek, your breath warming up his cheeks, cold from the chilly air around. You loop your arms around his, leaning into him slightly, “I can’t wait.”
Tumblr media
When you reach home, or as you call it, your ‘sanctuary from the terrible, terrible cold,’ you don’t waste a second to throw yourself onto the sofa, leaving the pillows to cushion your fall. “Home sweet home,” you mumble into the pillows, and Cyno can’t help but laugh at you all curled up on the sofa as he takes his time taking off his coat and hanging it up. “Do you want to hang up the decorations now?” He asks, holding up the bag of ornaments you just previously bought. You shake your head, “Cuddle first. Please?” And he dramatically drops the bag on the floor, “I guess the decorations have to wait for later then.”
With Cyno stroking your hair, humming what seems to be an old Sumerian lullaby, you toe the line between dreamland and reality. His voice is soothing, and his hands are gentle, action wordlessly showing you how absolutely smitten he is for you.
You remember when you first met, his aloof demeanor and cold gaze baring into you, almost scaring you off before you noticed the cute little jackal ears on his hoodie. You pounced on the chance to talk to him, and that was the start of everything.
Sometimes you wonder where you'd be if you didn’t take that chance, or just never met. Maybe you’d still be living in that one-bedroom apartment at the corner of the streets, working yourself to the bone every day with the thought of, ‘If I work hard now, I'll be able to rest later.’ Maybe you’d still be miserable as your friends settled down one by one, leaving you to return home lonely while the others returned to their significant other.
But all that’s ever going to be, just ‘maybes,’ because you’re not in that run-down apartment, you’re here, laying on your lover’s lap as he unintentionally tries lulls you to sleep. You look at Cyno with a sleepy grin, one of your hands reaching up to cup his cheeks, and he leans into your touch, like he does every time you do this. He doesn’t question your ever-present gaze on him, nor does he question the abrupt affection, he only smiles back, making you fall even deeper in love with him. (if that was even humanly possible)
You both regain your senses after your stomach growls. You and Cyno share a look, before bursting out into laughter. “Let's go get some food, I’m starving.” With that, you both move to the kitchen.
Tumblr media
“We have some mixed vegetables, rice and beans, my favorite, some steak, and roasted potatoes. That should be enough don’t you think?” You ask, moving to the microwave to warm the food up. “Yeah, you eat so little I bet I’ll have to finish most of the food.” Cyno sends you a glance, and you only roll your eyes. “Go help me set the table, do you want to eat in front of the TV? I don’t know about you but a new episode of that series we were watching are out and I want to watch it.” You hand him a few plates, already thinking about the characters in the movie. Cyno grabs said plates and pecks you on your cheek before retreating to the living room to prepare the table.
After your hefty meal, which the leftovers from your plate went to your lovely boyfriend, you both decide to finally put up those decorations you’ve put off for so long. Reaching for a branch to put a small red ball ornament up, you go on your tiptoes to reach some of the higher branches. Cyno snickers, you look extremely focused on your little mission, but it seems like you wouldn’t be able to reach that one branch you were aiming for after all. When you were just going to give up on your fruitless endeavor, you feel your foot leaving the floor and you getting taller. Without any hesitation, you immediately hang the ornament and turn your upper body around to meet your lover who has oh-so-kindly lifted you up. “Thank you dear.” “Anytime honey,” he replied as he gently puts you down. You throw your arms around his neck and press your lips onto his, locking him in an embrace. He eagerly returns your kiss, hands going to rest on your waist, pulling you impossibly closer. You tilt your head ever so slightly, carding your fingers through the locks of his hair and he completely melts into you.
Tumblr media
Climbing up onto the roof, you both lay on your backs, looking upon the vast sea of blue stretching infinitely across the sky. The blinking light of the stars and the warmth of your lover pressed up close makes you cherish the moment ever the more. “That’s the north star,” Cyno points at one of the brightest stars and you look at him, his crimson eyes a stark contrast from the dark blue sky overhead. “It’s pretty.” You say, but your gaze isn’t on the stars, because why would you need to look up to the sky to see beauty when you already have a little piece of heaven all to yourself right here next to you. He glances over at you and smiles, “Yeah, it is.”
word count: 2192 | ao3 link
"I really like you, Nore," he whispered, his voice barely audible, as he locked eyes with me. I found myself staring back, my lips parting, my heart pounding like crazy. "I don't give a damn about what Cliff says. I don't care what James thinks. All I care about is you."
✦ summary: tensions arise between james and dave while dave and nore realize how their feelings for each other are becoming even deeper
✦ on this chapter: oc is cliff's cousin, nsfw, +18, slice of life, dave mustaine x female!oc, james hetfield x female!oc (friendship), james being a good friend, drinking, fluff, cliff being cliff (overprotective older cousin), romance, light physical violence, alcoholism/drinking issues
✦ a/n: hello! today and tomorrow i will post two chapters each day so i can post the unreleased chapter (part 9) wednesday here on tumblr at the same time as i will be posting on ao3. it's a really special chapter so stay tuned for it hehe <3 feedback is welcome for the whole fic, i love talking about it c:
✧ look at you strawberry blonde, i love it when you call my name ✧
"Hey, James, what brings you here?" I asked, surprised.
It was late afternoon on Monday, and I had just finished my first day of work when I spotted the tall, blond guy waiting for me outside the store. I was a bit tired, but despite that, the day had been quite interesting.
"Hey," he greeted, seeming a bit awkward. "Well, Cliff couldn't make it to pick you up. He's busy getting things ready for rehearsal. He mentioned that you tend to get lost easily, so I volunteered to come instead."
I let out a sigh. Cliff had insisted on walking me to work in the morning, convinced that I'd get lost. But I didn't expect him to go as far as sending someone to pick me up later. I tried not to let it bother me too much. Sure, Cliff cared about me, but it was nice to prove that I could handle things on my own sometimes.
"You didn't have to go through the trouble, James. But thanks," I said as we began walking home. Pausing for a moment, I furrowed my brow and added, "And I don't get lost easily! What's he even talking about?"
James shrugged with a smile. I rolled my eyes, and we continued strolling. We chatted along the way until he suddenly stopped at an intersection, looking confused.
"What's the matter?" I asked.
"Hm... I can't remember if we turn left or right now," he said. I gave him a skeptical look and quickly sized up the two possible directions before speaking up.
"I think it's to the right," I said, trying to sound confident, and turned to face him just as he burst into laughter, confused.
"'And I don't get lost easily!'" He mimicked my words with an exaggerated tone. I crossed my arms, feeling a mix of annoyance and amusement, as he pointed out, "It’s to the left, Nore."
"Were you testing me?" I asked, barely able to control my laughter. "James, seriously!"
We were still laughing about it as we reached home, making our way to the garage where they had set up a makeshift rehearsal area. In there, we stumbled upon Cliff, Lars, and Dave.
"Hey, Nore," Cliff chimed in. "So, did you manage to find your way back?"
"She made it, thanks to yours truly," James chuckled. "Left to her own devices, she'd still be wandering in the wrong direction."
"You're late," Dave grumbled, looking annoyed. James stared at him, baffled, as he picked up his guitar.
"Chill, dude," he retorted. "I'll just tune the guitar, and we can get started."
"Already tuned it for you. Wouldn't have had to if you hadn't decided to play babysitter," Dave snapped back sharply. I blinked, caught off guard by his sudden bad mood. James furrowed his brow.
"She just didn’t know the way back, man. Relax," he shot back icily. "If it bothers you that much, why didn't you go pick her up yourself?"
"Unlike you, I was actually working."
"Hey, hey," Lars cut in. "Are you guys gonna start fighting during rehearsals now?"
"Let's just get this going," Cliff said, already plucking a few notes on his bass.
James stared daggers at Dave for a solid moment before letting out a scoff.
"Yeah, let's play," he muttered, reaching for his guitar. Then he mumbled under his breath,  "Fucking asshole."
"What did you say?" Dave growled, shoving him. James stumbled, falling over Lars' drums with a crash. I gasped, taken aback by his sudden outburst.
"Hey! My drums!" Lars yelled, getting up, clearly pissed off.
"For fuck's sake, Mustaine," Cliff sighed, his patience wearing thin.
James stood up, seething.
"I may be an asshole, but at least I don't go around hitting on other guys' girls," Dave growled, his tone dripping with menace. I blushed, nervously leaning against the wall. James glanced at him and let out a sarcastic laugh.
"Well, she's not your girl, is she?" he retorted, then turned to me. "You do realize she's right here, right? What do you think she's making of this little show of yours?"
Dave turned to look at me, his expression a mix of anger and shame. My heart sank. I didn't want to upset him, didn't want to see him hurt.
"Dave..." I started, "He was just helping me out. I simply didn't know the way! It's all right..."
"Come on, Nore, you don't need to explain yourself to him," Cliff chimed in, nonchalantly. "Let's go, both of you, quit stalling. Let's just start playing already, damn it."
"Yeah, I don't think I feel like doing this anymore," Dave growled angrily before storming out of the garage.
"Damn it!" Lars yelled, then chucked his drumsticks against the wall in frustration. "You!" he pointed at me. I raised my eyebrows, frightened. "Could you please not ruin our rehearsals? How are we supposed to record our songs with this kind of mess?"
"I... I didn't..." I started, but Cliff looked at Lars, his brow furrowed.
"Hey! She has nothing to do with this. Pipe down."
"Yeah, whatever," Lars muttered as he got up and stormed out in frustration. I looked at Cliff, shocked.
"Cliff, I didn't mean to..."
"Relax," James reassured me. I glanced at him and saw his intense gaze fixed on the entrance of the garage, clearly annoyed. "Mustaine's always pulling that kind of stunt. He'll show up again eventually."
"Why'd you have to go and say that to him?" I asked, my tone more heated than I intended. He raised an eyebrow, his eyes shifting towards me, surprised by my sudden anger. "You didn't have to rile him up like that..."
"Look, I don't care if you're cool with letting the guy be all possessive or whatever. If that’s what you’re into, it's your call. I'm not that dude," he gestured towards Cliff, who gave him a disapproving look. "But he's not going to tell me what to do. I'm not gonna stop hanging out with a friend just 'cause he's too damn insecure to handle his girlfriend interacting with other guys."
I blushed. A friend? His girlfriend? Just a few weeks ago, I barely knew James, or Dave, or Lars. And now one of them had kissed me, and the other was standing in the messy garage with the most serious expression on his face calling me his friend. And he meant it, I realized. He genuinely thought of me as a friend, and also... He genuinely believed that Dave had feelings for me.
"I'm not his girlfriend," was all I managed to blurt out as my face turned all shades of red. James burst into laughter, and Cliff couldn't help but chuckle, barely holding it in. I furrowed my brow. Were they laughing at me? "Hey! I'm serious!"
"Man, he called you 'my girl,'" James remarked. "And let's not forget all the times we've caught you two smooching around the damn house."
I blushed even harder because he had a point. Dave and I had been kissing left and right in the past few days. In the kitchen right after waking up. In the living room when we had a moment alone before going to bed. In the backyard while sharing a beer and a cigarette. In Dave's room and even, once — God, I hoped Cliff didn't know about this one — even in Cliff's bed, with the lights off, on a night when he was at Leanne's place and everyone else was already asleep.
I had always assumed we were alone when these things happened, that nobody was seeing — but apparently, I was wrong. I opened my mouth to snap back, fueled by anger, but Cliff cut me off before a word escaped my lips.
"Don't give us that surprised look, it's not like you two have been trying to hide it. Everyone's seen it, it’s been a real pain in the ass," Cliff remarked. James burst into laughter at that, and I furrowed my brow. "Well, if you'll excuse me, cousin. Ain't got time for your love life right now." He glanced at James. "Ready to jam or what?"
James shrugged.
"Sure. Should I call Lars?"
"Nah, leave him be. He'll show up."
"Alright," he grabbed his guitar, plugged it into the amp, then turned to me. "You gonna stick around and watch?"
I shook my head. I was so annoyed at them — at Lars for being a jerk, at Cliff for not giving a damn, at James for needling Dave like he did. It was all too much for me.
"I'm out," I said curtly. "I'm gonna find Dave."
"Well, good luck with that," Cliff said. "Try Stanton's, he loves drinking there when he's pissed."
I didn't bother saying anything else as I walked out of the garage.
I actually went to Stanton's, after all. Dave was easy to find, a messy mop of ginger hair slouched in a corner, enjoying a beer all by himself. Two girls were eyeing him from the other side of the bar, whispering and giggling all seductive-like, but he either didn't notice or pretended not to.
"Hey," I plopped myself down across the table, and he looked at me, clearly surprised. "Cliff mentioned you'd be here," I explained, and he let out a sigh.
"You shouldn't have come," he slurred, and I realized he was already a little tipsy. "You've got work tomorrow."
I chuckled, and he stared at me, eyebrows raised.
"Well, so do you," I pointed out. "Aren't you working at that mechanic shop or something?"
"Yeah, fuck it," he sighed, running his hand through his hair. "Nore, why'd you come here?"
I paused, taking a moment to gather my thoughts. Honestly, I wasn't entirely sure why I had come. All I knew was that I didn't want him to be alone, drowning his sorrows angry and sad in that bar. I could only remember what he had said about his anger and his issues with drinking, and realize that, more and more, I cared about him. Enough to go after him in a bar in a town I barely knew, without even a clue if he’d be there or not.
"I didn't want to leave you by yourself," I said simply. He looked at me, surprised, and I felt a slight blush creeping up my cheeks. "I don't think you're a jerk, Dave."
"Well, thanks, I guess", he replied with a smile that I couldn't help but return. He reached out and held my hand, his fingers gently intertwining with mine. My heart skipped a beat as I savored the warmth of his touch. "You're too kind, Nore. How did you end up here, living with us? We're all a bunch of trainwrecks.'
"I've told you before. I'm not that good either," I replied in a soft tone.
“I don't believe you,” he said, then stood up, still gripping my hand. “Come on, let's go.”
I got up, feeling a mix of confusion and excitement, and followed him outside. He started walking fast, then picked up the pace until we were practically running. I couldn't help but laugh.
"Dave, where are we h—" I gasped when he suddenly stopped, his arm wrapping around my waist firmly to halt my momentum as he pinned me against the wall. Our lips collided in a passionate kiss, leaving me breathless. His body pressed against mine as I let out a sigh, my heart racing.
I could definitely get used to the taste of beer on his lips and tongue, the scent of his skin and hair. I wasn't so sure if I could ever get used to the butterflies in my stomach that fluttered wildly whenever his lips moved against mine, his tongue exploring my mouth with ease. It was an entirely new experience for me, the way he could dominate me with just a touch. His hand cupped my cheek and I let out a small moan while the other held onto my hair firmly, pulling me closer to him.
"I really like you, Nore," he whispered, his voice barely audible, as he locked eyes with me. I found myself staring back, my lips parting, my heart pounding like crazy. "I don't give a damn about what Cliff says. I don't care what James thinks. All I care about is you."
"Dave, I..."
"If you don't like me, you gotta let me know right now," he smiled, his tone surprisingly sweet, "Before it's too damn late. 'Cause if we keep going like this, I might just end up falling in love with you."
I blinked, lost for words. The butterflies in my stomach wouldn't let me lie for too long.
"I like you a lot too, Dave," I finally said, my hands gently gliding over his arms. He beamed that beautiful smile I adored, then kissed me on my lips, and then on my neck, and I let out a blissful sigh, closing my eyes as he pulled me closer.
Maybe it's already too late for me , I thought. Because I don't know if I can stop myself from falling in love with him right now.
CHANGE ME CHAPTER FIFTEEN:
The car ride to the store was the definition of awkward.
After telling William about 'the glitch', he turned away from me and just stared out the window. Not once muttering an apology for my now purpling wrist.
When we got there, we went our separate ways until it was time for us to pay. Even then, the only sound between our silent beings was the beep of the items being scanned.
When we got back home, it wasn't any better. We still had not said a word to each other.
William didn't bother helping me with groceries or even taking his things. As soon as I dropped the bags off inside, he dug through one that had his pack of cigarettes, grabbed them and went right back out slamming the door behind him.
Jumping slightly, I sighed as I put away all the groceries.
Grabbing William's and my toiletries, I took them to the bathroom setting them down in our designated areas. As I did, I winced as I set the shampoo down on the counter.
"God damn..." I whispered holding my wrist delicately.
Looking down at it, it had turned a bluish hue and it was swollen around my hand.
What the fuck is wrong with you...?
Grimacing at the ugly injury, I heard the door suddenly jerk open.
Me expecting a slam followed by the aggressive entrance, I was surprised to hear a pause before the door shutting softly.
Walking out of the bedroom hesitantly, I was ready to face an angry, stone cold man. But I was greeted with a side of him I wasn't expecting.
Sitting on the couch, head in hands, sat a slumped and weak looking William Afton.
"William?..." I asked softly, taking a seat next to him. "Talk to me..." I told him, extending my left and non-injured hand to his shoulder.
Pulling his face away from his hands slowly, he looked at me. His face looked dead. Not the charismatic and animated man he was nearly two hours ago. It's colorless hue made my skin prickle at the sight, the deep instinctual fight or flight was registering in my body, yet I picked freeze. His head turned to me very slowly, and as his dagger like eyes locked onto mine. I now saw they deceived his appearance. They were deep and tired looking. They were filled with a monsoon amount of emotions. That I could nearly see churning, not knowing which one would lash out next.
Acknowledging the fact I was looking right at him he snapped his head down, completely ignoring the hand placed on his shoulder as he grabbed my right hand from my lap. Flinching slightly in response, his eyes flicked to mine. Just or a second they looked broken. But once again glazed over and a bland expression painted his face.
He examined my swollen wrist. Turning it over in his hands, he was careful which was stark a difference to his cold looking exterior.
Biting back the pain, I just sat and watched and William ran his large, rough fingers over my skin.
"....sorry...."
My eyes opened wide as I heard those words.
Looking up at his face, I once again saw the minute amount of regret in his eyes, yet without speaking a word, his presence said more than his saddened glances; furrowing my eyebrows, just one thing came over me.
Pushing William's hand away, I engulfed him in a hug. Sitting beside him his body frozen in shock. But once it sat in, he reached around my shoulders and hugged me back.
It shocked me that he returned the hug, but not as much as I think it shocked him.
Pulling away from him silently, I gave him a kind smile as he stared back at me in bewilderment and curiosity. But he broke his gaze as he looked down at my wrist once again.
William stood from the couch and muttered, "I'll be back." As he made his way to the restroom to look around for something.
I watched him as he padded away from me and took a moment to process his reaction. But not before I touched my shoulder of my jacket and wiped a single wet tear off.
As he walked back to me, I noticed he had some of my athletic wrap for larger injuries.
For as much as I wanted to tell him I was fine with out it. I didn't want to offend him or make him angry, so I sat there as I watched him try and help my swollen wrist.
Kneeling down, he took my hand from my lap which made me wince in pain, but William was more focused on getting my wrist wrapped than the ten seconds of pain it caused to move it.
Pursing his lips in a fine line, he sighed as he unrolled the wrap and tape and applied it to my skin. As he did, I watched his movements carefully. Once again studying his expressions and body language.
He was methodical, never stuttering or halting in his movements. It was graceful, as one action led right into the other. His hands held me steady as he worked. It was such a simple task, yet by him simply performing it, it seems like it has been rehearsed and polished. It was like that for every movement.
As he finished wrapping my wrist, he put his hands on his knee and let out a low sigh.
"Done." He muttered, grunting as he stood up.
"Thank you..." I mumbled with a slight smile, "I... I appreciate it." I told him honestly.
"No, I suppose I at least owe it to you for your wrist in the first place..." His voice was low, like he was trying to not sound or make himself look guilty.
"It’s fine, I can still breathe, so I’ll be okay. But…thank you William, I'm sorry for not telling you immediately... I should have... especially when it involves you. I mean, this is why you are here..."
William looked up at me, his face still dark.
“We’ll talk about that later, you had said you needed to stop by another place, Yeah?”
Nodding my head in agreement, I stood up.
“Yep, Let’s get you a job.”
Pushing open the convenient store doors, the bell announced our entrance.
Standing behind the counter was Aarush who waved excitedly at me and William.
“Hi Ms. Y/N! Back so soon with a friend!” He gestured to William who stood behind me, a stern but forced smile spreading across his features.
“Hi Aarush!” I smiled, “Yes I know, but I thought it would be a great opportunity to stop by… this is my friend William, and he along with me worked at the Fazbear’s Fright attraction which burned down. So I was wondering if you still had possible positions for William here too…” I asked.
Smiling looking over to William he nodded his head, “Yes! Of course! A friend of Ms. Y/N is a friend of mine!” He chimed.
Sticking out his hand to shake, William returned it with a charming smile and kind looking eyes which were dead looking a moment before.
“Pleasure to meet you sir, yes Y/N was kind enough to give me a recommendation here… are you still looking for any new hire Mr. Aarush?” William asked leaning his elbow on the counter.
Watching the two men have a conversation, I studied William’s mannerisms. He was cool, and I don’t mean he was cool...like in that cool shirt… I mean his aura radiated coolness. His demeanor was calm, confident and collected. The way he interacted and how he spoke to other people, he was professional about it. He spoke Knowledgeably as business man in him showed through his person.
“Well Mr. William…”
“Miller! William Miller.” The Brit smiled at Aarush dashingly.
“Well Mr. Miller, both you and Ms. McMillin will be starting tomorrow!”
“Oh fantastic! Thank you so much sir, I truly appreciate this opportunity Mr. Aarush.” William boomed. Firmly shaking Aarush’s hand with a smile.
“Yes, yes of course! I’m excited to work with you both, Now you both have a great day, and I’ll see you tomorrow at noon!”
Both waving bye to Aarush, we left the Seven Eleven. With a smirk, William walked to the drivers side of my car and opened my door with a smug look,
“That was probably the most unprofessional job application I have ever had.”
“Ha, why Mr. Miller…what did I tell you, that’s why I recommend it!” I smirked getting into the car as William shut the door and got into the passenger’s side.
“Did you pull ‘Miller’ out of your ass then and there, or is that a name that has been floating around in your head for a while?” I inquired.
“I’m just quick on my feet darling.” William sighed, getting adjusted in his seat.
“That’s a good thing…” I stated pulling out of the parking lot and pulling onto the main road.
“I would say so too,” He responded back.
~William~
The drive once again, wasn’t long. It almost became redundant driving back and forth all day.
Once we got to the apartment, Y/N went ahead and walked to her room to do some chores, as I offered to start up dinner.
Sighing, I headed over to the kitchen and opened the freezer. I gazed at the sad few items that lacked to fill the icebox.
Grabbing a pizza, I tossed it on the counter, setting the oven before calling out to Y/N
“How’s pizza sound darling?”
Silence…
“Fine… well we are having pizza anyway…” I mumble.
After awhile, the pizza is already done and go ahead and set the table to get everything ready to go ahead and eat.
“The pizza is done Y/N!” I called out, which I was I was once again met with silence.
It was like she wasn’t even here. To think about it, I hadn’t heard her walking around for… well… since we got home.
Walking down the hall to her room, I nicked on her closed door.
No response. Figured.
I tested the handle and turned the knob,
“Y/N?”
Opening up the door all the way, laying in the middle of the floor I was met with an unconscious Y/N.
“Bloody Hell…”
~Y/N~
Everything was in flames. Looking to my right I could see William. He lay flat on his back convulsing as mechanical claw like hands dug deep into his body and ripped the vital organs from his being.
To my left I could see myself, body being drug by what looked like Springtrap before the attraction burnt to the ground. As he drug me, he stopped by a ledge, chucking my unconscious or dead body over it.
Staring in horror as my gaze flicked between the now dead and torn apart William and where ‘I’ had been thrown. But once the mechanical rabbit turned around he locked eyes with me.
“No… this is just a dream…” I whispered, trying to convince myself and my growing heart rate.
“No it’s not...” The rabbit said tilting his head to the side, as if he were watching me amusingly.
“What do you mean?” I asked quietly.
But in a blink of an eyes the rabbit now grotesque and monstrous grabbed my throat and screamed.
“IT’S A WARNING”
I awoke screaming. Sitting up in bed pushing myself all the way to my head board. Beginning to cry, I hugged myself in a ball as I heard hurried footsteps come down the hall,
“You’re awake…What in the damn world has happened?” William came to the side of my bed, what looked like confusion and genuine concern painted his face and he looked at my scared form.
As I tried to speak no words came out. I heaved and whined as I began to panic more.
Watching me, not truly knowing what to do, William crawled onto the bed and hesitantly brought me into his embrace.
Not having anything else, I clung to him like a child. Burying my face in his shoulder and chest, I tried to heave a coherent sentence.
“G-Gl-Glitchtrap… Glitchtrap…” I cried. Soft tears slid down my cheeks as William began to sush and lull me to calmness.
We sat there like that for a couple more minutes until I regained my breath. But my neck and throat felt as if they had been crushed.
Pulling me back to fully look at me, William looked at me with wide eyes and trembling hands.
As I tried to rasp out a question, only sounds of a gurgling “what?” Came out.
“How did he…? How was he able…?” William began to ramble.
I opened my mouth to ask a question, but William was quit to stop me.
“Don’t talk Darling… it… it wouldn’t be your wisest decision right now.”
Looking at him in confusion, I jump out of the bed and push past him to see a mirror.
He choked me, he did something to my neck when he choked me.
Meeting my reflection in the mirror, large clawed cuts were imprinted into my neck and a reddish-purpling pool of space was beginning to form.
“Holy shit…” I rasped…
Backing away from the reflection in front of me, I walked back into my room looking at William with wide eyes, which he returned as I approached me to inspect the injury bracing my neck.
“How did this happen?” He asked.
“He grabbed me…”
“But it was in your dream… I mean, no one was here! I saw you on the floor passed out so I put you in the bed, but not even ten minutes later, I find you like this…”
“We are dealing with spirits William… they have more power than you realize. I don’t even remember passing out. I was doing chores and then… well...” I gestured towards myself and my condition.
He made a reluctant grunt and shrugged his shoulders at me still inspecting my neck.
“Here…” Guiding me back to the bed, William sat me down as I watched him with curiosity in my eyes as he walked to the door of my room.
“I made Pizza Darling, if you are still hungry I can bring you some along with some water.” He said looking back. But before I could answer, he was already on a mission to the kitchen.
“I guess I’m having pizza…” I muttered.
I touched a hand to my neck, it was sore to the touch but I could now swallow without a problem. It was the damage on the outside I was worried and conscious about.
Coming back into the room with a plate of pizza and a cup of water filled to the brim, William sat down my meal on my nightstand and looked at me expectantly,
“Thank you…” I spoke softly. A small genuine smile graced me lips as I looked up at the Brit.
“You’re welcome…” He sighed walking to sit on the edge of my bed.
Grabbing the plate, slowly began to eat. Just opening my mouth hurt, if felt like my jaw wouldn’t even open passed half way.
But as we sat, silence enveloped us. As I ate, William stared down at his feet, hands clasped together tightly, making the white of his knuckles show.
Taking a sip of water, William perked his head up, but even with the sudden movement, he was hesitant to speak,
“You know…” William began, “He’s going to come back…and whatever happened, or saw in your dream. It will happen again.”
“I know.” I simply stated setting down my glass.
“He told me this was a warning…”
“Well this was a fucking warning!” William exclaimed sarcastically.
“Hurting me wasn’t the warning though.” I said looking up to the older man who turned to me with a confused expression.
“In the dream…you had been torn open and gutted, these mechanical arms taking you apart, then, the…Glitchtrap… he threw me over an edge or some kind of some kind of drop. Then that is when he saw me watching…” I spoke solemnly recalling the disturbing dream.
But to be honest… it didn’t feel like one. It felt real.
Way.
To.
Real.
William’s face darkened. His eyes dropping back to the floor. I could see the gears turning in his head as he contemplated what I just told him.
“We need to stop him…” I whispered, staring into nothingness along with William.
“Or he’s going to kill us…”
As the night went on, William sat in the the living room watching tv and intermittently went out to smoke or take a short walk before coming back and do the same thing over again. Whilst I worked on concocting a plan to stop William’s other half and spirit Glitchtrap.
After about four hours of non-stop reading and writing on how to stop an evil and harmful entity. My brain felt as if it were pulsating.
So getting up from my bed, I made my way to the living room.
Sprawled comfortably on my poor excuse of a couch, William was intently watching tv as I came into the room.
“Whatcha watching?” I asked curiously as I saw action scenes and intense fighting scenes on the scene.
“Some detective series… I never really heard what it was called.” He said turning to me.
I nodded as I glanced a the screen then back to William.
I wanted to sit down, but from already the small area the couch had, William wasn’t making the space any bigger.
Sitting on the arm of the loveseat, William cocked his head to the side and let out an exasperated sigh, “You do know you can sit on your own couch yeah?” He asked me tauntingly, as if I didn’t know that.
“Wow, I didn’t think about that…” I retorted not even bothering to look at him.
“The attitude is unparalleled… watch your tongue in might fall off with all that poison.” William sneered.
“Don’t worry I drink it for breakfast, if my tongue’s going to fall off, it already would have.” I said looking over to him. “Plus, I would sit down if there were room, but it doesn’t seem like there is so the arm works.”
Rolling his eyes and grunting, William sits up and scoots over for me to sit down next to him.
Crossing my leg over the other and fold my arms over my chest. I tried to slink into myself. Separating my body from William’s as much as possible.
But alas, that proved to be a sufficiently harder task to do than said.
His long arm was placed on the back of the couch and he also had his legs crossed, his ankle laying its weight on his knee.
Finally I just accepted it and let my body get in a more comfortable position.
Curling up a tad, I rested my head on the arm of the couch and let my eyelids flutter close. Tiredness weighed me down even though the fear of destructive nightmares plagued the back of my mind. I wouldn’t let that win me over. I needed the sleep for tomorrow anyway.
As I listened to the tv and the almost inaudible breaths from William became a foggy concoction of sound that was the last thing I could hear as I slipped into a dream like state.
~William~
I looked over to Y/N who was passed out beside me, it had been about a thirty minutes since she fell asleep and her breathing had finally slowed to a less shallow state. Her arms were wrapped around her body. Her frame looking even more delicate in an unconscious state.
Turning down the tv, I turned my body fully towards her. Studying her face and every expression that crossed it.
She was fascinating….
I had never met someone so odd… yet so interesting.
Someone arguably frustrating…yet so kind. Too kind…
Someone so naive yet so clever…
Not even the dumbest of people would have done what she did, have someone like me in her home and she slept peacefully beside me.
Vulnerable and unpreventable…
But that is where my predicament lay. She was so easy to read… yet there was something still hidden from me. Like she put it under lock and key and didn’t want me to see.
Though, I couldn’t tell you what it was or what I was trying to find… I just knew it was something.
I had to know…
But then Y/N stirred. It started out as a little jump, but as I focused on her face. Her eyes were wild under her eyelid and her breathing increased. She kicked out her leg and began to mumble and moan as if she was trying to ward something off.
“He’s back….” I thought as I watched her thrash now kicking me in the process.
“Y/N wake up…” I called.
She still fought.
“Y/N!” I said again, stern this time grabbing her kicking feet as I reached her to shake her awake.
Yet no matter how hard I shook nor spoke she wasn’t waking.
Her voice from earlier rung in my mind,
“We are dealing with spirits William…they have more power than you realize.”
That’s when it clicked.
He’s not going to let her wake up.
Grabbing Y/N I held her head in my hands as she began to wail unintelligible words.
Well, all except for one…
“William.” She rasped.
Eyes wide with panic setting in I began to yell.
“Get out of her head!”
Get out of her head! You are apart of me! Not her!”
As I yelled, tears began to pour down Y/N’s cheeks, me face contorted and becoming red.
As I watched, cuts began to form along her shoulders, blood trickled out of them running down her arms.
“Bloody Hell…!”
Grabbing Y/N, I threw her into my arms and I rocked her back and forth, near chanting.
“Get out Darling….wake up…
“Get out Darling…Wake.up.”
I continued to hold her, running my hands down her hair, my shirt soaking in the blood that ran down he arms. I put my face right by her ear just hoping that she could hear my pleas,
“Please Y/N… wake up.”
Suddenly, knocking back against my chest Y/N awoke. Gasping and crying she begun to push away from me which I grabbed her torso and pulled her back down.
“Get off me! Stop!”
“Shhh! Darling please it’s just me!” I spoke as calmly as possible as she thrashed against me.
After she realized where she was, she whipped her around, staring into my concerned silver eyes.
“William…” Y/N began to sob. She crumbled into my arms and cried into her hands.
Sighing I set my chin on her head and rubbed her back as she cried, rubbing circles on her back.
“Darling… I really didn’t think you would wake up there for a second…” I nervously chuckled not truly knowing what to say.
“I- I almost didn’t…” Y/N hiccuped, “I heard you calling me…” She looked up wiping her face.
Looking down at her, she looked horrible…
She looked pathetic.
Puffy eyes gazed at me with such vulnerability. Her small blood covered body shook with left over adrenaline.
I couldn’t help it.
I pulled her back down into my chest, silencing her surprised protests.
“I’m covered in blood and so are you…” Y/N murmured.
“Let it be…just relax. You nearly died, I would not be worrying about my shirt.
Regaining her breath, Y/N finally let her full weight go into my chest and let her muscles relax.
Tucking her head into my chest once again, she let out a small sigh.
“I’m sorry William…”
“Don’t.” I simply said.
“Don’t?” She said with inflection, which I knew accompanied a raised eyebrow.
“Don’t be sorry.” I spoke with finalization. I didn’t want to have a conversation about this. She almost died yet, she was apologizing. It was annoying and simply unnecessary.
After sitting in silence for a couple minutes, I lifted Y/N off my lap and sat her on the couch.
“We are going to need to get those cleaned up.” I said turning my head to her with a solemn glance, looking at the gashes that littered her arms.
Walking back to the bathroom to get cleaning supplies, I turned on the light and was met with a disheveled and for any normal person, a disturbing reflection.
Blood coated my white dress shirt. It was seeped into the fabric creating macabre patches of color that was blotted along my torso and arms. Looking into my eyes, they were darker than normal. The silver was a steel grey. The darkness under my eyes was beginning to show as well, bringing my appearance together in a sickly looking one.
Realizing my grip on the counter before me, I sighed, running a hand through my ashy hair and continuing the task I came in here for to begin with. Before leaving the bathroom, I once again glanced at the mirror, and to be honest… I expected to see a horrifying being or reflection to appear. Yet, I was still by myself.
Though that is usually a relieving thing, it didn’t seem to settle with me.
Because, though I didn’t see anything, I could feel the eyes of pure evil staring right at me.
~Y/N~
I sat on the couch dazed as I stared into the wall. My arms covered in dry blood, that tugged on the wounds every time I moved.
I shivered having the chills you get right before you fall ill.
Though I wasn’t getting sick, I was exhausted and just plain hurt.
Coming back from the bathroom, William carried a variety of cleaning items and medication for me to take.
Kneeing I’m front of me like he had done prior to this, he opened the peroxide and put it on a wipe,
“This is going to burn like Hell.” He spoke seriously as he put the sizzling like alcohol on my first gash.
It did burn…
But it wasn’t the worst pain in the world. Plus I really didn’t want to show my discomfort in front of William.
I focused on controlling my breathing though my face of pain was clearly shown through my pursed lips and furrowed eyebrows.
“Nine more to go…” William muttered as he wiped the access blood from my cut.
“Fantastic…” I muttered, earning a low chuckle from the older man.
“Told you, it burns like a bitch…”
“Mhm…” Was the only sound of acknowledgment I could muster without breaking my facade of tolerance.
As William worked his nimble fingers over my skin, I watched him. His laser focus was intent at the task at hand, completing encapsulating his attention.
I gazed at his face, his eyes were locked and his lips stretched in a thin line. His hair slightly falling over his eyebrows, though he didn’t seem to care enough to move it out of the way.
“He is so fascinating…” I thought, my mind completely zoned in on him.
Slightly shaking my head to rid of any odd thoughts, William began to finish up bandaging my arms.
“Alright, you’re brand new…but I’m going to be honest, those are going to leave marks. They were relatively deep, but not deep enough for stitches.” William sighed standing up still examining his tedious work from a different viewpoint.
“Thank you… truly William…” I spoke gratefully. “Thank you for pulling me out…”
Looking down at me with for once, a soft smile,
“You’re welcome… I can’t just let you die… that would make me look way to suspicious.” He laughed.
Rolling my eyes at his halfhearted answer, I nodded in agreement.
“Yeah… that would suck to get caught at this point… especially when you are probably the oldest thirty-something year old out of all the thirty-something year olds.”
“Thirty nine.” William said pointedly.
“Okay, oldest thirty nine year old I have ever met.” I put my hands up in admittance of being wrong.
Shaking his head, William then looked at me for a moment, his eyes felt as if they were zeroing in on me and every feature that showed was under heavy examination.
“What?…”
“Oh nothing darling, truly…” He said, snapping out of his trance.
“You really should wash off, but of course be careful of the bandages, even though they are water proof.” He told me with an authoritative tone, even though he spoke as if it were a recommendation.
Nodding, though I didn’t like his tone, he was right. We both faired a shower and especially with the fact we had work in the morning.
“Alright, I’m going to head that way and after I’m done, you can then go ahead and jump in too.” I said walking down the hall.
As I walked to my room, I heard William yell one more thing,
“And please try not to die while you in there!”
After our showers, I lay staring at the dark ceiling as William lay on the cot by the foot of my bed. We went to bed rather quickly, but I refused to go to sleep.
Noticing my constant tossing and turning, William made a comment to my predicament.
“I wouldn’t sleep either…”
Slightly surprised at him still being awake, I sat up slightly to peer down at his form.
“I don’t know if I can go back to sleep…at least not until we stop him…” I mumbled.
“Well you are going to have to sleep at some point Y/N. Your body will end up making you if you refuse.” William said matter of factly.
“I know that… but once I do, I might just not wake up.”
“That might be the case…” William whispered.
Closing my tear-welled eyes William continued.
“But I’ll be here to wake to up…”
Smiling at his words, I would admit, they gave me false comfort. Even though they really shouldn’t have. I barely woke up the last time. But I truly was too tired to continue to think about it. So I believed him and I kept my eyes closed.
“Thank you William…I’ll try not to die…”
“You’re welcome… and yes, try not to die Darling…”
